This is a training thread between Kisune Karnon, an academy student and Kyomei Mitsukaru, also an academy student.
Kyomei is new to Soul Society and Kisune has taken it upon himself to teach him the ropes and help him get used to how things work. They decided to take their training to the wilderness where there are many environmental factors as well as Hollows. The time of day is just afternoon with a slightly cloudy sky.
The thread setting is NDE. Training for general TP. Nothing special besides training.
Notes: Only for Kisune and Kyomei, so no Kid you cannot enter.

The sunlight streaming down through the canopy, the slight breeze whistling through grass. It would have been the perfect setting for a beautiful day, if there hadn't been so much danger present. The weather could easily shift at a moments notice, and the filthy Hollows were far too close for comfort. "Might as well enjoy the weather while it lasts." Kyomei removed a small elastic band from his wrist and tied back his hair, allowing the sun to fall directly onto his face. "Well, that's enough sun for now, better go find this guy who was going to help me practice a bit."
Kyomei was new to the Academy, and this man Kisune Karnon had offered to give him some tips, help him work on his skills in a practical environment where failing meant pain or worse. Although it wasn't his favorite thing to be belittled by someone for the purpose of learning, Kyomei would have to suck up his pride and listen to the one who was older and more learned. Maybe along the course of the training he would get some valuable tips and tricks that would increase his own fighting abilities.
Arriving at the specified location early was normal for Kyomei, it made him terribly anxious when he was running late. Kisune hadn't made it there yet, so Kyomei took it upon himself to try and clean up the area a bit. A mostly useless endeavor, seeing as it was outside... in the Wilderness... but clearing a large space of ground of Hollow defecation was important. If he was to step in any of these large steaming piles while in combat, who knows what would happen? Kyomei definitely didn't want to find out. "Must we fight in such a filthy environment? This dirt... It's so... dirty. If you so much as dare to get any of that dirt on me, I will scream at you so much that you just have to clean me off." "If you are going to scream at me, wait for the training to be over, else my blood might get on you..." "Fine..." And so, with the area free of waste, Kyomei waited.

Kisune headed towards the location he had set to meet the new guy Kyomei. Kyomei was a new academy student, so he didn't know too much about Soul Society or how things worked. It was said he was strong due to his heightened spiritual capability, like a prodigy. Prodigy's were usually stuck up and smart asses, which Kisune didn't quite like. However since this guy was new, Kisune felt he could gain a friend as well as learn something while also teaching the basics. It was a nice slightly cloudy day, where the temperature was nice and average. This was such a good day for training. Funny thing for an academy student to teach someone else, but Kisune couldn't say no to such an easy thing.
I wonder how this guy will act or how he'll be, Kisune thought as he walked towards the Wilderness. The wilderness was a spot where training was good, though the danger was high. Hollows ran through the Wilderness outside of Rukongai, so they would have to be careful if any were to arrive. Kisune was one to never be late so naturally he tried to arrive at least a couple minutes early. He knew how much time it would take him to get ready as he always did, but he wasn't sure how far away the meeting point was. To be sure he wasn't late, he made sure to leave early, but not too early. As eager as he was, he didn't want to seem too eager to be there. Wearing his normal clothing, the unissued academy uniform, Kisune removed his sake bottle from his pouch on his belt and took a swig before replacing it. The cloak always provided a bit of style as did the sleeveless kimono.
Soon Kisune arrived in the area and saw someone clearing debris and such. This was odd since everything was dirty anyways and there was no telling what you might encounter. Kisune figured it was probably Kyomei since not many people volunteered to come into the wilderness anyways. "Hello there. You must be Kyomei Mitsukaru. I'm Kisune Karnon. Nice to meet you. I've heard a lot about you," Kisune said and introduced himself, "You know you don't have to do any of that cleaning stuff. Everything gets dirty when things get going." The area was nice, but it was a wasted effort. Though now that they were both here they could get started. "So let's start by you telling me what you know and then we can get started from there," Kisune stated. To take down notes and figure out his plan of training, Kisune removed a small notepad and pencil from a pouch on his belt and waited for Kyomei to tell him what he asked.

"You know you don't have to do any of that cleaning stuff. Everything gets dirty when things get going." Not clean? Not get rid of that nasty waste all over the ground? Obviously this Kisune person did not understand the proper order of things. He must be unbalanced like so many others Kyomei had met. Well, there was no getting around it, he was getting a bit of help from this guy, and there was no backing out now. "I'm going to finish this first if you don't mind, and if you do mind, kindly deal with it. Mud and dirt is fine, but I will not tolerate large amounts of fecal matter upon me, and I'd rather not listen to my Zanpakutou complain for days about the horrors of the filth." It didn't take long to remove the last pile of waste. Sanitizing his hands with a little alcohol, Kyomei walked over to where Kisune was standing.
"Sorry if I appeared rude, but things just have to be perfect else I will not be satisfied. Call me a perfectionist or whatever you want, but if things are not in their proper place, then I fix them. For instance..." Kyomei walked up and rustled Kisune's hair, placing it perfectly in symmetrical form. "Now I can bare to look at you." "So let's start by you telling me what you know and then we can get started from there." That was a hard question. Kyomei knew a lot of things... It would only be fair to apply the question to what Kisune meant, and not literally to what he said. "Well I know about all the workings of the Gotei 13, I know how to wield my Zanpakutou, and I know a little basic Kido.
Kyomei hadn't actually ever been in a fight, as far as he knew. His memory only went back to the time he woke up in the Soul Society, so it is conceivable that he had been in combat before. Combat was just so... dirty, and it often spilled blood that had no business being spilled. Wanton violence was the worst form of crime. A distant roar of a Hollow chasing its prey reminded Kyomei of that fact. "I also know that Hollows are filthy abominations that do not deserve the right to exist and breed suffering as they do. They are incapable of Balance and Order. They serve only to cause pain and injustice to others, even their own kind. Where is the balance in an existence ruled through violence and death?"

So Kyomei liked things neat and in order, well that was nice and all. However things wouldn't be that way forever, he must know that. If he didn't he would easily find out soon enough. Kisune wrote down all that Kyomei had stated about his knowledge even if it was generalized. Even basic things like the way he dressed himself and his actions for first impressions were written down. Kyomei was literally being added into Kisune's personal reference sheets like anyone else Kisune had come into contact with. As Kyomei spoke, Kisune nodded as if agreeing with what Kyomei was saying without actually interpreting what he was saying. "So from what I've heard and from what you say, I can see you are quite new to this whole thing. The good thing is you are informed of the basics and just a bit more. This is good. Now I just need to know your combat experience. Shall I say a small battle?" Kisune stated.
Kisune replaced his notepad and pencil into the pouch he removed it from. Without removing his hands, he took out the sake bottle once again and took another swig. "Before we begin would you like a drink?" he asked Kyomei while extending the bottle towards him. He didn't know if Kyomei drank at all, but it was always nice to offer to a possible friend. Whether Kyomei took the bottle or not, Kisune didn't care since he had others. This guy has no idea of anything, but his power is definitely radiating off. He will certainly be a good challenge even if he is a new guy, Kisune thought. The fact was, Kisune had little combat experience himself, but from his time at the academy and self training he had something. Hell even his training with Taien might even prove helpful here.
Using his other hand, Kisune removed his white cloak and tossed it against a tree. The weight of the extra sake bottle allowed it to go where he wanted it to go and would hold it down in case of a breeze. Kyomei would now be able to see Kisune's arm guards and red belt as well as the pouches he held his notebook and sake in. The other thing Kyomei would notice was that Kisune didn't have a zanpakuto which no academy student had in their first year. This might raise a question, but Kisune was prepared for it, if it came. Whether Kyomei took the sake bottle or not, Kisune would replace it into the pouch he took it out from. "There is something you should know about any and all fights. Think of it as rule number one," Kisune said, "Always be ready for anything at any moment."
Kisune then turned around and took a step or two away from Kyomei. This was to give some space between the two as well as setup for what Kisune wanted to do. Without warning, Kisune spun around and attempted to punch Kyomei in the chest. He would normally go for the head, but this was only training and putting Kyomei through a bit of combat. This punch was to test Kyomei's reflexes as well as durability if he got hit. A simple punch like this wouldn't be much anyways since Kisune wasn't all that strong, but he made it look like it with how he went about it. As he spun, a bit of dust picked up and clung onto the bottom of Kisune's kimono which was only natural for being outside. Kyomei would have to deal with getting dirty cause if he wasn't, Kisune would make sure he got dirty.

"Now I just need to know your combat experience. Shall I say a small battle?" This Kisune was direct and to the point, quite admirable. Dancing around a subject was a waste of time. "Before we begin, would you like a drink?" He had already taken a drink from the bottle, and this training was all in good faith, so Kyomei could be pretty sure that it wasn't poisoned or anything, and some sake in moderation helps clear the mind a bit sometimes, get rid of the distractions of the outside world. Only with a bit of drink could Kyomei ignore the shrill voice of his Zanpakutou's spirit nagging for utter cleanliness. If it wasn't for the nagging, Kyomei would be able to focus on the battle at hand, so he gladly accepted the drink and drowned out the calls of his Zanpakutou's spirit.
"Ah, much better, thanks for the drink" He tossed the bottle back, it wasn't polite to keep someone else's drink. Besides, what he needed it to do was done. Now he could focus on the training at hand and he would have a slightly easier time coping with the mess. To be safe, he left his elastic band in his hair. The least he needed right now was to have bad hair throw him off. Hair in his eyes would definitely hinder his ability to fight properly. As an academy student, his uniform was the typical black shihakusho, so that getting dirty was less obvious. Even with the sake clouding his obsessive tendencies, Kyomei visibly cringed when he saw Kisune toss his white cloak on the ground. "Why would you... Aw, screw it, it's your cloak not mine."
The pleasantries and the drinks exchanged, things would probably start to pick up soon. "There is something you should know about any and all fights. Think of it as rule number one, always be ready for anything at any moment" Instant mental red flag shot up, no words like that are just wasted. Kisune meant to act, and act surprisingly. Then he started to walk off, and Kyomei knew what was going on. "It would appear that he has a similar fighting style to my own... He must like distance too, helps him think, analyze his opponent. Why else would he record everything in that notebook of his? Maybe it was truly best for me to only generalize what I knew, so I can surprise him later."
Kyomei placed his foot behind himself a little. "With clues as to hint to a surprise attack, I better not be careless. Battles are lost to carelessness right? That's what I hear, anyways." Kisune's foot suddenly began to pivot, as if he was going to turn around. He spun and threw a punch directly at Kyomei. Kyomei was not about to try and block this attack, he had no clue how strong his opponent was, and he knew that physical strength was his most obvious weakness. Spinning on his back foot would allow him to dodge the attack and swing his arm out in his own blow to Kisune's back. If his speed was enough to make it connect, Kisune would assuredly be knocked to the ground. Just in case, Kyomei would jump back to get enough distance to analyze the situation. Being unnecessarily aggressive would not help him learn the ways of combat.

Kyomei, being much faster than Kisune, easily had dodged his simple attack and deliver his own to Kisune's back. Kisune fell to the ground, but braced his fall with his hands. A plume of dust flew up as Kisune hit the ground, getting the entire front of his kimono dirty. A small laugh escaped from Kisune's mouth as he stood up and grabbing some dirt into his hands. As he got up, Kyomei was noticeably farther away as he had jumped backwards away from Kisune. "Well you are clearly faster than me and you have a good sense of distance for battling," Kisune said. After wiping his kimono off a bit, he got into a fighting stance. Slowly he moved closer to Kyomei, shuffling his feet along the ground.
From the start, Kisune was at a disadvantage. He didn't have a zanpakuto and the guy he had to train was like a prodigy. The fact that all he had was hand to hand combat, it looked like this fight was going to go against him. Kisune would have to rely on his wits and skills to defend himself. So far it appeared that Kyomei was being careful and watching as well as analyzing. This was different from Kisune as he did his analyzing before the battle as well as some during battle. Information was always key, which was why he had asked Kyomei those questions earlier. The distance between them now was roughly half of what Kyomei had made, he was moving closer slowly. "So are you planning on doing anything or just standing there and watching?" Kisune asked.
Without giving him a moment to answer, Kisune threw the dirt from his hand closest to Kyomei at Kyomei's face. A plume of dust erupted out from his hand while small pebbles and clumps of dirt flew at Kyomei. Using your environment was something you wanted to do in a battle, especially when you're weaker than your opponent. Also using Kyomei's hate of dirt against him was also something he was fine with doing. After releasing the dirt, Kisune lunged forward and gave a sweeping kick towards Kyomei's legs. Using the spinning motion of the sweep kick, Kisune spun around and ran around some trees. Guerrilla warefare would also need to be used, to help surprise and confuse the opponent. The environment was truly something you needed to use.

Kyomei shook out his arm once he landed from his jump back. "So this is what it feels like to land a blow... Intriguing..." The force of his blow had been enough to force Kisune to the ground, so either Kyomei had superior strength, or his speed was good enough to catch Kisune off balance. This would require more fighting to know for sure, since Kyomei had never had the experience in judging an opponents strength. However, Kyomei was almost positive that he was much faster than Kisune, unless he wasn't yet showing all of his power. "If I am faster, I may just have an advantage to this battle, whether he has experience or not."
Kisune picked himself off the ground and attempted to tidy himself up a bit, but that was a fruitless endeavor. Only a nice soak at the end of the day could remove all the grime that would be accumulated by the end of this training. Then Kisune started to inch his way towards Kyomei, with extreme caution, it seemed. His hands clenched up into a fist, he looked ready for another exchange of blows. So are you planning on doing anything or just standing there and watching?" That was right, he had been just standing there, watching. He quickly regained his defensive stance just in case.
Kyomei wasn't expecting the low trick of the flung dirt. His vision was clouded and he found himself falling onto his back from the kick, the wind rushing out of him. "So now I know how it feels to deal a blow and to take one." By the time he had picked himself up off of the ground, Kisune was getting close to disappearing into the trees. "So that's how fast he can go... That seems pretty slow to me..." A quick shunpo would be more than fast enough for Kyomei to catch up to Kisune and thrust his knee into the small of his back.
As Kyomei used his considerable momentum to carry the both of them to the ground, a quick Kido would help him considerably. "Bakudo #10, Horin." An orange light jumped from his finger tips to wrap around Kisune's arms and hold them into his body. Although without the incantation this Bakudo would suffer a massive reduction in power, Kyomei hoped that he had the Reiatsu strength strong enough to keep Kisune held until they hit the ground. That way, Kisune would bear the full weight of Kyomei upon his face and would be thrust into the dirt. Unfortunately, this would only serve to kick up a large amount of the filthy grime, leaving Kyomei covered in it as well. "I am going to -need- a bath after this..."

So far the plan had worked, Kyomei got tricked and had fallen. Heh, guess my plans work better sometimes, but that may be only because he is new, Kisune thought as he was running. Unfortunately his speed hindered him greatly since Kyomei not only was naturally was fast, but also used Shunpo. When Kisune heard the sound of Shunpo, he knew he was about to get hit from somewhere, but where he did not know. Then suddenly he felt a pressure in his back, a light but positioned hit to force to him downwards. Once again, Kisune was gonna hit the ground stomach forward like earlier, but he also now had weight on his back. It seemed Kyomei had launched himself on top of Kisune instead of just knocking him over. To top it off, Kisune recognized the kido of Horin as it was called and formed around his body. This would hurt if he hit face first into the ground.
However, Kisune knew he had kido to use as well. In fact, one particular kido could be used to propel himself into a flip and land on top of Kyomei. This kido was a Hado, which was of the attack type, but Kisune knew he could use it also for defense. "Hado #1, Sho," Kisune called out while aiming his hand, without dirt, towards the ground. Since his arm was pinned to the side, his hand was at his waist. This meant that the thrusting force of Sho would propel Kisune upwards, but with the momentum he already had he would instead flip over. Since Kyomei was on his back at the time of the kido being used, Kyomei would also flip over and hit the ground first instead. Then Kisune would fall on top of Kyomei just like he had planned. Though he was tied by Horin, it did not stop him from being able to use kido at all.
Kisune had less spiritual strength than Kyomei, but he had mastered Sho and he was close enough to the ground that it worked in his favor. However this did not mean he could break out of Horin which he also mastered. Kyomei would now how to force Kisune off of him if Kisune did not move, but he wouldn't have to worry about that too much. Before Kyomei even had to worry about getting Kisune off of him, Kisune turned himself and prepare to stand. As Kisune stood up though, he tossed the other handful of dirt that he had still right into Kyomei's face. Surely this would be enough of a distraction this time to allow a fruitful escape behind a couple of trees where Kisune could enact his Guerrilla Warefare tactics. The only thing he would have to worry about was freeing himself from the Horin, so he could utilize it himself. "You're not half bad for a new guy. But you still have some things to learn," Kisune called out. His voice would sound like it came from everywhere or even a generalized area, but not a specific location. If all things went Kisune's way, Kyomei would now have to play a bit of hide and go seek with him.
Post by Kyomei Kuchiki on May 10, 2012 4:14:53 GMT -5
"This darkness... It is too familiar for comfort..." Kyomei had fallen for the same trick twice, allowing Kisune to again fling dirt into his eyes. Due to his lack of battle experience, Kyomei had not expected the agile reversal that Kisune had in store for him. The flip Kisune had performed had left him slightly dizzy, and the sake from before hadn't helped that at all. Left without proper sight was difficult to bare, but Kyomei had instinctively seized when the dirt hit his eyes, tightening his hold on the rope formed by Horin. He would not allow Kisune to slip away from him that easily.
"You're not half bad for a new guy. But you still have some things to learn." Disoriented from the lack of sight, Kyomei had no clue where the voice was coming from. However, he was still connected to Kisune through the Bakudo. Kyomei called out to him, "You can run all you want, you can hide wherever you want, but you can't escape what is coming next!" Kisune had again and again disrupted Kyomei's Order. He was covered in dirt and pebbles and was not very pleased at the moment. On top of all that, the sake was starting to wear off, and Kyomei's Zanpakutou was beginning to lecture him again.
"You mean you are just going to let him run away? Just pull him back!" "You know that I am not strong enough for that, I would barely be able to hold him where he is at this point, and he can actually see!" "Then get the crud out of your eyes!" "I would if I wouldn't lose him by doing that. Just shut up and watch me work, ok?" Being connected to Kyomei through the Bakudo was more of a problem than Kisune realized. The next words would surely bring despair to his ears. "Hado #11, Tsuzuri Raiden!" Electricity flowed from his hands through the energy of Horin, delivering immense pain to the entire upper region of Kisune's body. If he was lucky enough to black out instantly from the shock, he wouldn't have to suffer as the electricity surged across his body. Eventually, his body would have to succumb and he would lose consciousness.

The Horin around his arms kept him close since it was still being held by Kyomei. Hmm, this was interesting since he figured the flip might have caused it to dislodge from Kyomei's grip. Not to mention that this could be an issue since he couldn't use any more guerrilla warefare tactics yet. Luckily everything he had done so far was working to his advantage. "You can run all you want, you can hide wherever you want, but you can't escape what is coming next!" Kyomei had called out to him. Well as long as he was tied up, this would be true, but once he got free then that would be another story. All Kisune needed to do was free himself though or he would be in trouble if Kyomei started to get on the offensive more than he was. What to do, what to do, Kisune thought as he stood behind a tree.
Then he heard the Hado being called out. This was fantastic, being struck by a kido while being tied up. As the electricity from Tsuzuri Raiden came through Horin, Kisune started to feel the effects. However he knew something could be done with this electricity, he could use it to his advantage. Byakurai was lightning which was essentially electricity, so he could transfer the energy from the kido being used against him to fire off an attack. The only problem is he didn't have a clear view of Kyomei and he was running out of time to fire off the attack. Wait, why not destroy the tree with the attack. That would work best and possibly get Kyomei to release his hold on him.
Quickly Kisune used the electricity he was being shocked and fused it with his own reiatsu. "Hado #4. Byakurai!" he called out as he pointed his finger towards the trunk of the tree that he had his back to. The lightning ripped out of his finger and the Tsuzuri Raiden went with it and just in time as well. The tree truck exploded and sent Kisune to fall to his face. An unfortunate side effect from a quickly devised plan, but its not something he couldn't easily fix. The tree then fell over and to Kisune's luck it fell over towards Kyomei, meaning to crush him. While Kyomei would be focused on the now falling tree, Kisune rolled over and got to his feet. He watched and waited to see the fruits of his makeshift plan to see how Kyomei would react to the falling tree.

Kisune was going to attack him with just a simple tree? Intriguing... Trees fall incredibly slowly, especially when there is no real force behind their fall, just a removal of their support. It took no effort at all to sidestep away from where the tree would land, even doing this before the tree had begun its descent would be easy. By this time his eyes had done their job of producing enough tears to clear out his vision enough to see a little. "Is this how most battles usually go? Your opponent decides to squirrel away from your plans and try cheap tricks? How about this trick of my own? Bakudo #10 Horin!" Using his other hand, Kyomei flung a rope of Horin around the other tree next to Kisune, it being stationary made it not an issue at all.
"You are familiar with Horin, yourself, no? Its ability to merge with any other of its kind. You can't have avoided all the damage of my Tsuzuri Raiden. I would be surprised if you even have the strength to walk with all the electricity that arced past your heart and that explosion you caused." It took little effort to pull Kisune's now weakened body a measly distance to connect with the other tree he had been hiding behind and chose not to tear down. Leaving him pinned to the tree, Kyomei relaxed his hold on the rope, but again fired another Horin to specifically wrap around his hands. Merging the bonds once again meant Kyomei only had to focus on holding one Horin together, but the area of the bond was still the same.
"I won't fall for the same trick yet again. If you can do anything with just your legs, then you may still have a chance to win this training session." Just in case Kisune did still have some tricks up his sleeve, Kyomei used a quick Shunpo to deliver a swift kick to the left side of Kisune's neck, near the jugular. Whereas this would definitely not be fatal, it should be enough to knock him unconscious. "See, you didn't need to worry about getting dirty at all. I got this." "Good. Now, you think about drinking me away again and I'll..." "Kisune, now that you are unconscious, do you mind if I take your sake in your pocket. No? Ok, thanks."

Kisune obviously didn't think out his plans to fruition since the tree's falling speed was exceptionally slow. Kyomei had easily avoided it and seemed to have recovered from everything that had been done to him. Well now he was sure in danger, his opponent could see him and he was tied entrapped by the kido. "Is this how most battles usually go? Your opponent decides to squirrel away from your plans and try cheap tricks?" Kyomei called out. "For the most part your opponent may use anything possible to win. Unless you know the person and their intentions, you won't know what they might think up," Kisune said. "How about this trick of my own? Bakudo #10 Horin!" Kyomei had said. Well could things go worse, Kisune thought as he heard Horin being used again. Of course, this answer was met with just the answer Kisune didn't want.
He was dragged across the ground towards a tree where another Horin was wrapped around. It was true, Tsuzuri Raiden had done some physical damage to him, but luckily he had transferred most of the electricity. Kisune was able to stand as well as walk, but only a bit however being tied up allowed Kyomei to take advantage easily. After Kyomei bound his hands, Kisune knew there wouldn't be too much he could do, but at least his kido that he knew wasn't too hard to perform. Of the kido he had shown Kyomei so far, there was still two left up his sleeve. "I won't fall for the same trick yet again. If you can do anything with just your legs, then you may still have a chance to win this training session," Kyomei stated. Well he didn't need his legs, but he still had tricks that Kyomei didn't know of yet. "Bakudo #8. Seki!" Kisune called out just as he heard the sound of shunpo.
With a small laugh, Kisune knew Kyomei would be surprised by this kido. Seki was a small shield to not only repel what strikes it, but also paralyze it. The shield formed in front of Kisune since he was tied to a tree. As Kyomei went to kick his neck, he simply met the shield and was sent backwards. To top it off, his leg was now paralyzed. "No, my sake is my own. You can have it when you earn it," Kisune said as he pointed his finger towards Kyomei's good leg. An orange tendril shot out and wrapped around Kyomei's leg as Kisune called out, "Bakudo #10. Horin!" Though Kisune didn't use the incantation, he did master it so it would still hold the same strength as Kyomei's and maybe more. "Now I have you and you have me. Enjoy," Kisune teased.

There were a few flaws in Kisune's plan to repel Kyomei. First, seeing as his hands were pinned to his side, he had no ability to even move his finger, much less point it at Kyomei for the purpose of holding him with Horin. Secondly, even if he had been able to hold him down with the Bakudo, Kyomei's Reiatsu Strength was so superior to Kisune's that breaking free would be of no consequence. However, the greatest flaw was in Kisune's use of Seki. Seki was a very small Bakudo in area, no bigger in diameter than two inches. Even when mastered, this Bakudo still needed one's hand to be free in order to place it where it needed to be placed. If Kisune really had simply placed the Bakudo as he heard the Shunpo, and it would have been formed in front of him, there was no way he knew where the attack was going to hit him and there was virtually no way that his Bakudo had been placed in the the exact spot where two inches could be effective.
Assume, completely hypothetically, Kisune had an extreme bout of luck and was able to deflect Kyomei's attack. Yes, Kyomei would have one leg paralyzed. No, Kisune would not have the ability to use Horin effectively in order to pin him down. Regardless, seeing as Kisune has an extreme sense of luck, rendering physical attacks useless, the obvious solution was apparent. "Hade #4, Byakurai!" A bolt of lightning to the chest would be more than enough to incapacitate him and would have the Reiatsu strength to blast through any shield Kisune planned to make. "I'll take that drink now, if you don't mind."

Kisune's plan, failed and was bested by the new guy. Apparently he was too strong for Kisune to take on, much like Taien was. Though he did teach the new guy some things, it was truly Kisune who was taught more in the end. He was tied up and knocked unconscious by a kido used by Kyomei. The last thing he heard before passing out was, "I'll take that drink now." His head hung down as his body went limp. There was nothing more he could do while passed out except think on the battle and learn from his mistakes. Kyomei would be someone he would have to beat before he left the academy, he wouldn't be so weak next time.
