The day started like any other for Vian. He woke up looked over Karakura town sighed a bit then took a drink from his flask. Vian had had it with living here in this town. There was nothing for him to do besides walk around town each day wondering what else would attack him. Even if he wanted to leave this town he had no way of doing so. It seemed that his old crime family was looking for him. They had over looked Karakura town for some reason making it a safe haven for him. Vian rolled out of bed and walked into the shower. He showered off the sweat from last nights fight. Once he finished with that he got dressed in his usual clothing. All for his pants they had been ripped in the fight. Vian had on a black pair of jeans on.
Vian opens the door and walks down the stairs. He looks around and sees that the streets are empty. Vian starts to walk to the bad part of town. He wanted to test out his powers on some humans to see if he could find a new person with powers to convince to join him. Vian saw her a blind girl she was walking near his place. He paid no real attention to her and looked away. Thats when he heard the hollows cry.He turned back to see that one was coming after her. He moved quickly Vian knew how strong hollows could be and that they went after humans with strong spiritual energy. Vian had found someone who at least drew hollows to them.

Today was supposed to be an absolutely normal day. There were no signs that pointed to any abnormalities. There was nothing bad that occurred. She did not run into any form of trouble. It was just a normal day in a notably bad part of town. Thinking about it, bad part of town should suggest something, but Sashi did not think about it at the time. She was simply taking a walk. It was rather quiet. She did not bump into anybody nor did she hear the sound of footsteps anywhere. The only ones she heard were her own. Clutching onto her cane, she continued on the path. She was slightly nervous about walking there, but she was in a rather adventurous mood today.
Her parents were always so protective of her. She wondered what they would say if they found out just where exactly she walked today. They would most likely flip out and get into their overprotective mood. Yes, yes they probably would. She knew them all too well. They were always hassling her about being careful and pointing out her blindness by trying to do different tasks for her. Sashi could do stuff by herself, thank you very much. She had learned how to complete the tasks people with sight could do. She had spent years learning trades and skills differently than most people. She was prepared, or at least she thought.
The sound of a low growl came behind her. It irked her. For a moment she stopped and blinked, her grayed out eyes hiding behind a pair of black shades. She gripped her cane tightly. If she needed a weapon, this cane was the only thing she had. Her nerves ran through her. Then she thought about it. Silly me, I'm probably just imagining that. Unbeknownst to her a freakishly beast was coming in closer. She had already begun to walk once more. She had to be imagining that. Either that or it was just some dog hanging out by the trash cans or something. Yes, that would make logical sense.
As she kept walking she couldn't help but feel a sudden chill. It was warm weather and her body certainly wasn't cold in jeans and a t-shirt. It was a bit early so the sun wasn't in the ideal position, but still there was no reason to be cold. Still she had the horrible feeling something was following her. Her pace quicken but still appeared to be normal. Then she heard footsteps come from another direction. They weren't behind her but to the side of her. Somebody coming out of their house or something probably. There was absolutely nothing to worry about. If so, why was she so-
An inhumane cry echoed throughout the quiet air. Okay, there really WAS something behind her. It didn't sound like a dog either. Swiftly turning, she called out to the voice. "Okay, what the heck are you and why you're following me?!" She realized how stupid that must've sounded. Why would something like that answer her? She couldn't see that it was charging at her, but she had a strong feeling that she should've been running. Her body was somewhat paralyzed though. She couldn't figure out what exactly to do in such a situation.
The hollow had followed her for a while. It was hungry for her soul. It wanted to eat her soul and leave a bloody mess of flesh and bone behind. The only reason it had not was that it liked to play with its prey. It loved to let them feel its breath on there neck to let them know that they were being hunted. It lived on the excitement of seeing them panic and run for help. Making them look crazy making them think that they are insane before he slowly killed them. He breathed heavily on her neck as she cried out and yelled at him.
The hollow looked at her and licked his lips as she panicked. He cried out and said "I am here for your soul." The hollow did not even see that Vian was there as well. He just jumped at the girl. He was not going to kill her he was going to play with her a bit slowly causing her to go crazy.
Vian started to run as he saw the hollow coming after her. He did not know why he was doing this. Vian was not one to go out of his way to save a girl he did not even know. Vian activated his fullbring and grabbed at a metal telephone pole. He created two knives from the pole. He rushed to attack the hollow. He passed one of the knifes to left hand and cut the hollow on its hand. It screamed in pain as it backed away and said "I will have your soul girl." The hollow vanished back to Hueco Mundo for the time being.
Vian waited for a second to wipe the blood off of his knifes. He allowed the blood from the hollow to drip down off his blade and hit the ground. He smiled as he remembered what it was like when he finished a job. He loved the smell of the blood in the air. He looked back at the girl and said "are you ok miss?" Vian slipped the blades into his pockets and held out his hand to show that he meant know harm to her. Not at that time anyways. He still was a hitman and if he was paid he would kill almost anyone.

She still was rather stunned when she then heard a response back. IT TALKED?! Immediately Sashi screamed on the top of her lungs in shock and horror. "YOU CAN ACTUALLY TALK?!" Whatever it could do, she had to move and like fast. It obviously wanted something from her. According to the beast it wanted her soul. What? Her soul? That made no sense to her. She knew everyone must've had a soul. There was something that could EAT those souls? How could it do such a thing?! The material it ate was invisible! Did it gut people? ...I rather not think too much on that. It's making me queasy.
Though her thoughts sounded rational, she was really in total freak out mode internally. Her feet finally moved, going backwards away from the beast. From the sound of it it was in front of her now and coming in closer from the air. She couldn't pinpoint the exact location though. She also couldn't really fight it. She had no protection against such wild beasts. What was that thing anyway?! It was times like these where she wished she could see. Then again, the horror probably would've been too much for her eyes to bear to look at.
Sight sometimes would be a wonderful thing though. Being able to see the enemy and evade it instead of guessing through the sound waves it make. Being able to trust one's eyes instead of one's ears. Not having to flip out and not know where to go when a giant beast came around wanting to eat her soul. Oh wait, she wouldn't have known what to do anyway dealing with a monster even if she COULD see. Her cane was in a defensive position in front of her. Her ears were focused on the thing. Why wasn't there any police anywhere?!
The question was though could the police even see it. She had heard weird noises before, but never had she been this close to the source. If such freaks were running around, no one would be walking casually outside. The authorities would be patrolling and the citizens would be informed to be safe. Hell, her parents wouldn't let her step an inch out the house! She would remain inside and be stuck in the house all day every day. She might've even been home-schooled instead of going to a special school for the blind some distance away! If that was the case where nobody could see it, was she entirely imagining this conversation? Was she crazy?
Sashi was left to question her sanity after encountering this freaky-sounding monster. It definitely wasn't human. Its voice was all wrong and humans didn't go around eating souls. That cry was unlike any other animal. No animal spoke human words. Only parrots did and parrots did not sound like that thing. That was it, a thing. It was a weird freakish thing that was going to kill her and eat her soul. She was sure it was going to do so. No joke that it was. It was going to finish her off and enjoy what her delicious soul had to offer.
A cane was useless against the beast. She probably couldn't punch it or kick it. It wouldn't do any good damage. It was awkward trying to run away when one could not see. One had to run yet be careful not to run into something that would cause injury. Luckily she never had to run for her life until now. The girl was shivering with fear. She couldn't comprehend the situation she was in. She wondered if she could talk her way out of this. Even so her mouth was dry and she couldn't get the words to come out of her mouth. She felt a cold sweat coming on.
Just then when she was ready to die for this hungry monster a savior came. Somebody had come running in to stop the beast from devouring her whole. She did not know exactly what they did because she could not see what was happening, but she heard the sounds going on. She hear the sound of metal and the beast screaming. The person apparently had some form of a metal weapon on them. She wondered what kind of guy carried something like that around. It could've been female as well. She wasn't entirely sure yet at the time. All she knew was that she was breathing.
Her cane moved back slowly into its normal position where it served as a walking assistant, not a weapon. Her body relaxed and her muscles were no longer tense. Her mind was going back into a much calmer mode. Her hand did not grip her cane as tightly and the cold sweat was gone. The shivering lessen. Even so, she had heard the beast's words. It wanted to come back and eat her, but later. What was she to do if it did? Sashi didn't want to think of that. Because of this, she was still fearful.
The hero turned out to be a male according to the voice. She heard him speak to her. She thought it would only be proper to respond. However, her rudeness got ahead of her and she immediately questioned the person. "What in the hell was that thing and what did you do to make it go away?! Who and what are you?!" She obviously couldn't see what had happened. Then realizing how she was harassing the poor guy with questions, she stopped and took a deep breath before introducing herself. "Sorry, I am alright. My name's Sashi Phoenix."
She couldn't help but be curious about the guy's appearance. Did he look tough or did he look like just an average joe? Sashi refrained from asking him about his looks for it would be rather rude. She instead kept her mouth shut and tried to remain calm as she awaited an explanation from the man.
Vian looked at her and smiled a bit. She had been a bit rude to him. Vian really did not care about that. He was a bit rude person to people at times and as a hitman he had learned to shut off his emotions. Well almost he had a scar from his first love. It burned deeply in his heart. He had fell in love so fast and deep. That when she broke his heart Vian had a mental breakdown. His mind shattered and had to be rebuilt by his family and his master. Vian was not totally stable yet anyone who looked like her could control him with ease. He just believed that it was his love who came back for him. It lasted until they did something that she would never do.
Vian took a good look at her. He saw that she was blind but he knew that seeing the cane. It was one used to let people know that she was blind. He noticed that she was younger then him. Much younger then he was. Even if he did not look it Vian was 21 years old. He had killed more men in that time then people would even in three life times. Vian did not think about his kills. He was not a mindless killer. That killed for fun and pleasure. Vian was a hitman he killed because someone paid him to do it. He did not enjoy the fact he killed someone. He only wanted to get paid and leave.
Vian saw that this girl was well for lack of better words well endowed. He said nothing about this and continued to look at her. She was wearing clothing that would look better on a guy then her. He sensed that she was a tomboy. He smiled as he looked around to see that the streets were empty. It was early and most people were not in this part of town. Unless they lived here they had no reason to be here at all.
He did not care for her well not yet. He wanted to find out what she knew and if she had powers or not. In fact Vian had missed her name and what she had asked. He was thinking about something else at the moment. He was enjoying the smell of blood in the air. It made him feel like he was at home it. It was strange ever since the of his master. Vian has felt more at home when he drew blood. He wondered if he was becoming more blood thirsty with each kill. Without his master to tell him to calm down.
Vian calms down a bit as he sees that she knows a less then he does. He smiles and says “Sorry about all this um sorry did not catch your name in all the confusion. I am Vian Tanados. The thing that attacked to you was a hollow.” VIan smiled at her and wondered. What she would say to him or what she would do. Vian knew that believing him with what he said was not expecting her to believe him. Vian knew he was not the most trustful person in the world. He had to learn about the hollows from fights he slowly learned about what they were and what they wanted. Even after learning all he had to learn about what they were he still did not believe that they were real. So he had not hopes that this girl would believe him if she could not even see what they were.

That was a rather crazy situation. Monsters?! She had to be dreaming or something! She had weird dreams like this before. It totally had to just be a simple dream. She was probably in a bed at her house dreaming away. Next thing she would know there would be unicorns or something crazy running through town. Maybe the Tin Man or the Rabbit or-Wait a minute, no. This couldn't have been a dream. When the hell did she dream of a strange man coming in to rescue her? It would've been someone from her life doing the saving.
So okay, it wasn't a dream. But still things didn't make any sense whatsoever. She was in a confused state of mind. Was she delusional? Was she just imagining she had ran into a dangerous beast? Maybe it was really an attacker trying to rape her or steal her money. Yeah, instead of soul, he meant-Okay that was even more ridiculous. No human sounded like that. Plus this guy didn't seem to believe that she was loony. At least he seemed to.
This was a first head-on experience with the beasts. She then remembered other events. There were events in the past where she had ran into some weird sounding creature. She couldn't identify the source of the noise because of her lack of sight, but they too sounded inhuman. However none had ever really attacked her like this one had. They had done her no harm. Because of this, she would often dismiss these noises as a figure of her imagination. Sashi thought she had simply imagined it.
It was difficult coming down to terms with the beast in question. She couldn't believe such things existed. Such terrible creatures lurking around right under people's noses. She began to grow concern for her family. Would it try to attack her family? Could her older sister become this creature's lunch? Could other kinds of that creature eat her family as well? Were they all just sitting ducks, waiting for Fate to come bite them? She was horrified by the thought, but there was no way they would believe her. She would be given psychological treatment in an attempt to stop her from thinking up these noises.
After examining further inside herself and her emotions, she found that she was still nervous. She was still shaken up by the event. It could've gone worse. Much much worse. Even so, she was left paranoid by the beast. She was left in a state where she worried about her family and also her friends. Her mind was taking a nosedive, wondering if she had gone completely batshit insane. Her expression was far from emotionless. She did not know how to be cold and emotionless like her assassin friend over there. Of course she didn't know the guy's profession.
She then realized what the beast had done. It had played with her. It purposefully did those things to scare her. To make her a more enjoyable meal. Immediately she felt insulted. She was told not to play with her food, but this was ridiculous! How dare it screw with her mind like that! Now she was broken and scared, dependent on a strange guy whom she had never met in her entire life. She had gotten lucky. Very, very lucky. Not everybody could acquire such a person to help them in dangerous situations. Her situation was worse because the police couldn't even see her problem.
It was clear the guy had not listened to her fully. She could've gotten annoyed or address him on such, but she refrained. Not everyone was as strict as her when it came to listening to what other people had to say. She probably meant nothing to the guy anyway. Nothing but a young teenage girl whom had gotten into trouble with a monster. Suddenly she was reminded of those mangas. A lot of times the monsters had freaky tentacles. That made the situation for her more laughable. However she did not laugh externally. At least she wasn't one of those poor manga girls!
"Sashi Phoenix. I would normally call you insane and insist on getting you mental help, but considering what just happened I would have to check myself in." Her face lighten up a bit as she smiled. The guy seemed to have a nice tone to his words, but she couldn't help but feel something was off. Ah well, it probably wasn't an issue at all. There was no use biting off the head of the guy who saved her. "As you can probably see, I'm blind. Is there any way for you to describe a hollow to me? All I know is that it sounds like no human or animal I know of and that it apparently eats souls."
How the heck did such a thing eat souls anyway? Then again, she decided against asking the guy. She didn't want bloody or gory images in her mind. Otherwise she would be up all night thinking about them. Then again, she would probably be up all night thinking about what the heck had just happened a few moments ago.
Vian looked at her and thought no duh you’re blind. Anyone can tell from the way you walk and what your holding in your hands. Its not like canes are the new thing to walk around with. God dam I wonder if she is even worth the trouble i’m going to go threw. If she has no powers then it would just be a waste of my time. Then again hollows almost never attack normal humans. Well I have never seen one attack a normal person. They just come after anyone with strong spiritual powers. Ug now I have to decide if I want to have her join me or not. She is blind so that would be a major burden in battle having to rely on someone else to tell her whats going on.
Maybe I should test her. Yes a test that should work to see if she would be any good. But what kind of test. I guess if she could hit me al least once that would work. Yes thats what I will do I will test her. Vian looked at her and said “well Sashi don’t get the wrong idea I am no hero. I am a hitman and if you want information thats going to cost you. Also seeing how the hollow is still after you I think it would be in your best interest to hire me but again that will cost you. My rates are one hundred thousand an hour. Information is five hundred thousand for that you get to ask me one question and I will answer it. If you can’t pay me in cash then we can find another way of you paying me.” Vian said nothing about having her join his family to get the info and him protecting her for free.
He wanted to see what she would say. If she took it the wrong way and thought it was something sexual Vian would laugh and tell her thats not what he meant. Its not like Vian isn’t attracted to her its just that he holds women higher up then that. Vian had a weakness for falling in love with a beautiful face. It usually ended up badly for him. They would use and abuse him and then leave him. Vian would like to get to know Sashi better but not like that. She was to young for him. So he could not do anything. If she came onto him that was something else but he did not think that she would.
Vian smiled at her and waited for her to say something to him. He wondered what she would say. If she ran well the hollow would get her and kill her. It was still nearby. Vian knew that hollows continued to attack until they got what they wanted or were killed. Such an annoying little pest they are. The never left you alone if you wanted to sleep or even shower sometimes. What makes them worse is that normal people can’t see them. So if you act or try to defend yourself people would think that you are crazy. Vian shook his head and looked back at Sashi and said “well what are you going to do ?”
The hollow had arrived back in Hueco Mundo. It cried out in pain as blood spilt from the wounds he had gotten from Vian. The hollow screamed and cursed at the empty sky. “How dare my prey act big and attack me. I will kill them both and eat there souls. I will have my revenge.” The hollow attacked some of the weaker hollows around him and eat them. His woulds sealed up. The bleeding stopped as he went back to the human world. He was far away from where Vian and Sashi were. He did not care he wanted to hunt them down and slowly kill them.
He walked around Karakura town slowly moving in on where Vian and Sashi was. He grinned that they were still together it would be easier to kill them both at the same time. It was near the river when it spotted a soul. A shinigami hand not sent it to the Soul Society yet. It would make an easy target for the hollow as it attacked the poor soul. He played with it for a bit before grabbing it by its legs and ripping them off. It slowly ate the soul. It had lost track of what it was going to do so the hollow wandered around Karakura town.

Sashi again had the feeling something was up. There was an issue somewhere. Something was off about this guy. She couldn't read his mind or anything like that, but she felt like there was something else to it than just simple helpfulness. However, she was not one to bite the hand that fed her. Because of this, she refrained from accusations. It would be wrong and hurtful to question the guy that saved her life. She wasn't that kind of person who questioned people's methods like that. So she kept her mouth shut.
The hollow was prevalent in her mind. She wondered if it would come back and if so when and where. There was no way she could combat such a beast. She owned no weapons and wasn't exactly sure how well a blade would work against an out-of-this-world creature anyway. It wouldn't help much still because she was blind. She had no way of knowing just where exactly it was. She couldn't see it and its movements. She would look silly waving around a sword like a maniac.
Her thoughts then came to one doubt in her mind. That doubt was her worst fear: being a liability. She didn't want to have to depend on other people. She wanted to be independent just like most other average people. She wanted to do her own things and take care of her own business. She did not want to lean on people for the rest of her life. Yet in this situation she was in fact depended on another person. That person was some strange man that mysteriously came to her side to help. A man she had some strange feelings about.
Suddenly her hunch became correct. There was something off about the guy. He revealed his occupation. He was a hitman. Shit, I may have gotten help, but it looks like it won't be free. Just great Sashi. Things had taken a rather interesting turn. She was stuck in a situation where she needed help and the only help she could get would be through somebody who would make her pay for his services. He wouldn't give her any information either without paying. She unintentionally let out a sigh. This came as a surprise.
She had her own painted pictures of hitmen. He was rather nice and polite for one. Then again they did seem to be rather efficient and polite in those movies. She was a little surprised that he had saved her the first time now knowing the fact that he did such work. But then it made sense. If he could show her what he could do she would be more likely to depend on him. She understood it now. Unfortunately now she had to figure out a way how to pay. She was only 16!
There was no way her parents would pay for such a thing, nor could they just throw out money. They wouldn't give such amounts of money to a guy they didn't know anyway. Sashi didn't even think about asking them. There was no way in hell she was going to ask her parents such a thing. She refrained from such actions. She would not even mention the beast to them. There was no way they would believe that monsters were lurking around town. They would think the guy was trying to scam her or something. Well then she had a problem.
She decided to come straight out with the truth. What was the point of lying anyway? It was kind of obvious she was a teenager despite her lovely curves. "Well then I'm forced to take the alternative. There's no way I could pay for this myself nor could I ask my parents to do so. Still I want more information. I want to know what exactly I'm facing here. I may be blind, but I will NOT be a blind sitting duck!" In a moment of determination she balled her free hand up into a fist. There was no way she would let herself be served on a silver platter to a beast!
Now the question was what exactly did he want her to do? She hoped that it wasn't anything sexual. She was desperate for answers, but not THAT desperate. She wasn't about to destroy her pride for the sake of anything. Maybe she was just that prideful of herself. Well no, it was mostly because she didn't want to be doing any sexual acts with a man or woman until she was hitched. She didn't believe in pre-marital sex. She just absolutely would not allow it. Then again, she was underage. Maybe that ruled her out of sexual activities. He didn't seem like a sleezebag anyway.
So what DID he wanted her to do? What exactly could she do? There was one clear problem in the way. She was blind. What did he want with some underaged blind girl? What could she do to obtain the information and acquire protection? Sashi moreso wanted the information. She wasn't a fan of being under protection (Unless this is sex, but Sashi is not as dirty minded as the author). She wished to have her independence and to be able to fight her own battles. She was prepared to have just that. With her cane in hand, she awaited his answer.
Vian smiled at her. He knew that she could not pay with cash. He knew that no one could pay that much or rather would for information. Now then lets see if she is any good. If she could not pass his test he would kill her. There is no reason to let someone live who knows about him. it would be a bad idea. It would be a mercy kill. If he did not kill her a hollow would get to her and eat her soul. At least if he killed her then there was a chance that a shinigami would find her and send her soul to the Soul Society.
"Well then how are you going to pay me? From the look of it there is nothing on you that I want and it will cost a lot to hire me to keep the hollows away. You see now that one hollow has set its eyes on you more will come after you. They will never stop until they have eaten your soul. They will even go after your family to get to you. " Vian said as he took a sip from his flask.
"Now the better question is what can you pay me with? You don't look like the type of person who has that much cash. As for information you look like you would lack as well. Not to be rude but I don't think a blind person will see and hear much about what I want to know. Now then as for sex well its a shame but you are to young for me. It really sucks seeing how you are very attractive." Vian said as he looked her over once again
"So what does that leave you with to pay me? Well it leaves you with work you could work off the debt but then again my line of work requires some skill and a certain sense of mind. That I believe that you lack as of now. So to pay me off you have one option join my family." Vian grabbed her by her hand that had the fist in it and started to walk.
"Joining would be the easy way to pay me off but I have to see if you are able to. Well more like if you have the skills to join. If you don't well then I think you have to find out some other way to pay. Unless you want to get killed by the hollow." Vian said as he looked her in the eyes. He knew she could not see him but he wanted to make that effect dawn on her. He wanted her to try as hard as she could to pass his test. If she did not he would let the hollow have its way with her.
“Come follow me.” Vian said as he walked with her. Well more like taking her away from where they were. It was easy to do he was stronger then her. She would not say anything about this because she knew that he was the only one keeping her safe from the hollows. The hollow would rip her to shreds and eat her soul. He had told her what the hollow would do to her. She knew that he was the only one who could help her.

The scare tactic. It was working rather well on Sashi due to her lack of hollow experience. Her fears were worsen by the guy's words. She was fearful for her family. She would never want something to happen to her parents. They didn't deserve to be eaten by some demented monster. That would be terrible. Having to live with herself knowing the danger she had brought upon her family...that would be horrible. She couldn't live with the shame. She couldn't live knowing such an event. The visuals came into mind and she began to feel the grip of fear.
It was clear she wasn't of much use to Vian. She didn't have enough information to provide him with anything useful. After all, what use was she to a hitman information wise? She knew people but not the kind of people he would want to know about. She also couldn't pay him. She didn't have a lot of cash and neither did her family. Her family was having issues enough trying to pay for her older sister's college funds. And she wouldn't be of any sexual use because she was a minor. Also because she would beat him over the head with a cane and run.
So she was left with very little options. She didn't know what to think of this situation. Her fingers tapped against her cane. She was left in a trapped situation. She could not worm her way out of this. She wasn't one to do so anyway, but still. Sashi was tempted to bite her lip but she refrained from doing so. She decided against showing her fear, or at least she tried not to. She couldn't be emotionless completely like some other people, so she trembled slightly. The blind girl continued listening.
So she had to join this family, huh? This didn't seem like a normal kind of family. This seemed more like the mafia or something. If that was the case, that would be problematic. She couldn't see herself being apart of any criminal activity. This left her with fear and problems. She didn't want to have to explain anything if it leaked out. She didn't want her family involved in any kind of mess. But at this point she was left with no choice. No choice at all.
Now she had to apparently prove her skills. What kind of skills? What did she have of interest to this family? What was this test? And she had a feeling it was a kind of test she had to pass. She didn't think that she could be let off easily knowing a hitman. She was pretty sure it was illegal to be a hired killer. She might've been wrong though. Even so, her heart sank in her chest. Nerves came upon her. She was left without a choice in the situation.
"Well it seems that I have no choice in the manner. I am ready." Her hand was grabbed. She loosen the fist so she could hold his hand. Then she followed him, but it wasn't like she had a choice in the manner. She had to prepare for this so called test that was coming just around the corner. She had to get information. She wanted to know what she was facing before it came to bite her in the ass.
Vian walked with her along side of her. He was taking her to an empty lot where he would test her.It was a large area it was about fifty feet by sixty feet. It was an open lot with nothing in the way. If she could not pass his test here he would kill her and bury her body in the lot. He looked over at her and sighed. How had he come to this. How had he fallen so far? Vian was once a proud hitman of a very very powerful mafia family. He had never lost a fight well almost he lost to his master all the time. He was known as a master at his art. Now he was testing some random blind girl to join his family. The old Vian would laugh at what he had became.
After walking a few block he arrived at the lot with her. He walked to the middle of the lot and let her hand go."Stay here." Vian said as he walked away from her. once near the edge of the lot he said "your test will be here. You have to grab and hold me once before time runs out. You have ten minutes if you can't pass this then, well just pass if you can."
Vian started to walk slowly away from where he yelled out to her. His steps left no sound. He walked just like a ghost. Not even a bat could hear him walk now. He was a ghost in this empty lot. One that held her life in his arms. He could kill her at any time if he wanted to. It was the ultimate test for her. If she some how sense him that means she was useful to him. It meant she could fight.
Vian wondered what was going on in her mind right now. What terror was going on in her mind. He wondered what she would do. But most of all Vian wanted to know what was going to happen. Would she pass this test or would he have to kill her. If he did have to kill her it would be a shame. She was cute Vian kinda liked her but then again Vian fell in love with almost every girl he met."The test has started already." Vian said from a few feet away from her and moved back quite as before.

The test was to be held in whatever space the hitman chose. Sashi tried to sense just where exactly they were going. The tapping of her cane signaled what kind of ground she was walking on. She had learned how to distinguish where she was walking. She could easily tell what kind of material she was walking on by listening carefully to the distinct sounds made by her cane colliding with the surface. Hearing was a valuable thing to the girl. It was the main sense she used in place of her sight. Not to say her other senses weren't useful as well. It was just that hearing proven to be the most useful.
Her cane tapped the ground of the empty lot. So that's where they were going. She could tell from the echoes and the way the surface "felt" walking on it with her cane. In that case, she would have a big empty space to perform the task in. That meant she didn't have to worry too much about running into objects. However, the question was what exactly was the test. What did she have to do? He didn't exactly specify anything. He just said she had to pass a test. She knew it wouldn't be conventional pen and paper, but every test had a task that needed to be completed. Now what was that task?
She was left all alone in the middle of the lot. He had left her side. She tensed up ever so slightly. What was he going to do? Then her ears picked up his words. Instinctively she glanced in the direction where she was hearing him from. So that was her task. In that case, she needed to concentrate. Sashi had to find the guy and grab him. She had to rely on her other senses to locate him. This would prove difficult of a task. He was a hitman; who knew what kind of skills he had? She was just your average teenage girl. The only thing special about her was that she lost her sight, and that proved to be a disadvantage in this task. Hm...
Well there was no use being tense about it. She relaxed her body and mind; concentrating on her surroundings. She had to remain calm. If she was not calm, then there was no way she could catch him. She had to rely on her other senses, and in order for her to utilize those senses, she had to concentrate. Her ears patiently waited for a sound. Damnit, he was quite capable of being quiet. This made things worse. Suddenly he spoke once more. Instinctively the girl sped towards the direction she thought he was in. She did in fact notice the place's echo though. It could throw her off if she wasn't careful. The girl wasn't sure if it was right of her to just move like that. There was no way he was going to just stand there. She also didn't know how fast he was.
The girl then realized something. In a way, this challenge was like a battle. She wasn't one for fights. Her face broke into a somewhat bitter smile. Look at what circumstances had done to her judgment.
