Taking her time to heal in the wasteland of Hueco Mundo, the thin Hollow was now refreshed and most of all hungry. Teresa found herself starving for the tasteful sustenance of flesh. Not Hollow flesh as even the strong such as herself tasted like heated up shit. No, there was nothing of taste in the wasteland that she’d been saying. Most of her time as a Hollow had been in the human world where she could binge herself and then sleep in a secluded place to avoid those that hunted her. This place offered her nothing that she sought and thus she’d be leaving now in order to continue her evolution.
Slipping through the fabric of reality or rather the dimensions that formed reality as she knew it, Teresa escaped the bleak world of Hueco Mundo. Stepping out from the Ulcera of darkness the elegant white Hollow of bone and antlers gazed out at her surroundings. What she saw wasn’t the modern massive buildings of the human world. No she’d seen how much humanity had progressed since she’d been one of them. That didn’t mean she didn’t recognize where she was now and when she did that long fanged smile became visible in the darkness beneath her mask.
Soul Society! She was back in the false Heaven that played host to all the souls of virtue that all now lived in the dirt. She’d been here once before, she’d managed to devour a few different individuals before a Shinigami came to the rescue. It wasn’t a bad experience especially knowing that the more and more she fought them the better results she was getting. That Shinigami had endured so much of her power and yet kept going, if nothing else she was on the list now. Individuals that had to be devoured in order to be used later. Making her way to the center of the street though it wouldn’t take long for her to hear the music once again.
The screams of terror were like the fine strings of a cello to her once innocent mind. No, these screams were proof. Proof that she was still alive, proof that she mattered, proof that she was to be feared now and not some faceless government. Focusing her reiatsu for a moment as she watched the souls turn and start to run. Teresa began spitting out small globs of black mass that would land on the ground only to suddenly increase immensely in size. One moment the size of a cat the next a full grown adult draped in the Shihakusho of a Shinigami.
“You know the drill. Catch as many as possible and bring them back wounded.”
Just like that five Shinigami that had once fought to stop her rushed down the Rukongai road after the citizens they’d sworn to protect. The Shinigami wore the uniforms and even had their zanpakuto which now all five drew from their sheaths. The only difference was the head each one covered in Teresa’s own mask and her large antlers marking them as her property. In mere moments Teresa watched as her servants rushed out. Although it wasn’t necessary Teresa uttered a single word while she watched her meal getting prepared. “Rise.”
The ground behind her commanded with a single intention and yet an image in Teresa’s mind shaping it. In the next moment the very ground moved upwards in the shape of a throne. A throne of hard tan stone that Teresa didn’t hesitate to lean back claiming as her position. A thought arriving at that very moment. Last time she hadn’t binged herself quite enough. She’d still been hungry and left after dealing with a single Shinigami who got in one good swing. This time she was going to make this new fan landscape her property whether the Shinigami liked it or not. Time to examine the cattle.
Over the next hour Teresa watched in silence on her throne as citizen after citizen was captured and dragged to the ground in front of her. Why couldn’t they just get up to try running away again? Well Teresa had given the command to wound all of them and as such many of them now struggled to stand or were too busy trying not to have a panic attack. Dozens of cut arms and legs, stab wounds through forearms, calves and even a few stomachs. No one was dead though, although the scent of blood was intoxicating for Teresa now.
Enough time had passed now that dozens and dozens of souls were on the ground crying and scared in front of the Hollow that just kept staring them down. Her Shinigami were each stationed at a point around the cattle, forming the group into a sphere shape. “The Shinigami are going to kill you.” Teresa heard the threat which managed to snap her back to reality. Moving her head for a moment she found the frizzle middle aged looking civilian with his right arm leaking quite a bit. “Perhaps, but from this moment on. I own this town and everyone in it is mine!”
Just like that Teresa pointed at the man while unleashing her spiritual pressure forcing all of them to remain on the ground in a manner similar to gravity. Her Shinigami walking for a moment grabbed hold of the man and then by picking him up at the shoulders brought him to Teresa. “You’ll be the first piece of meat I’ve had in awhile. Don’t disappoint bull.” Then with a chop Teresa with her mouth gaping open removed his entire head in a singular bite. Taking it off at the neck Teresa would spend the next several minutes devouring the man entirely and then move on to the next defiant soul.
