Just what to do today... Everything seemed so boring. The woman had just gotten off on some task which meant she was still kitted out. Luckily, she didn't need to use her release for the task which would mean she wasn't as tired. She sat at the bar as normal with her fancy glass of water and her cigarette in hand. It was still daylight outside the bar... Well, actually it was mid morning really. She worked all night on the task and got done around Five AM. She just couldn't sleep though... As she inhaled her cancer, she looked around the bar to find no one in sight but the bartender. It was kind of odd to see someone at a bar in the morning. Though, Stalker wasn't a drinker to begin with.
Stalker gripped her glass, took a long sip, and placed the glass back down. Damn dead man... That task was such a pain in the ass... She did acquire a unique trinket though. It was some sort of ring. Finest gold you could acquire. She would pull it out of her pouch and took a gander at it. Huh, what a magnificent piece. She debated on what to do with the ring. Maybe pawn the trinket, wear it, collect it? The woman played with by spinning it on the bar and watching it spin. The bartender came by and leaned over, "Is that your method of payment today?" he joked. Stalker kept staring at it as it slowly lost its momentum. The ring collapsing on the bar as if it were exhausted. She would look up to the bartender, "Not today..."
The bartender walked off after feeling satisfied for his joke. She knew it was about time to go soon. As lunch time came close, she knew the bar would become busy once more as it always was. Oddly enough, she enjoyed this bar quite often. It was a place that was dark and rather peaceful... for the most part. Stalker almost had forgotten the cancer stick she smoked and took another drag. Menthol rushed through her lungs as she felt the sweet release of nicotine in her bloodstream. God... Why the hell did she ever not like cigarettes last time? She would grab the ring and slide it back into her tactical pouch as she would take a large gulp of her water. The time was now to go. Unzipping another pouch, she would throw a bill on the table. She didn't order anything but a water but that was fine. It was still good for the bartender to crack a joke with her.
Walking out in the broad daylight, her eyes adjusted to that awful brightness. She covered her eyes for moment and rubbed them to help with adjustments. Perfect, now it was right. She walked down the street with her almost dead cigarette, giving a final puff before killing the end. She walked down the street and found a trash can, throwing the butt away. She didn't like leaving that nasty shit on the ground and felt it wasn't right to do so. As she got to a stop, she noticed how empty the streets felt this morning. It was a Sunday after all, which meant people were sleeping. She would hatch a brilliant idea before departing back to her place... Perhaps going to the local park would be nice. And there she went!
Walking through several streets and corners, she makes her way to the park at ease. What was nice was the fact this place was empty for the most part. Actually, it was empty. Not a single soul in sight! That was Stalker's style right there. She would find a little hill to climb to which served as a high point. She treaded the hill and made her way to the top. Her tactical gear glossing in the sun as she walked up to a lonely tree at the center of this hill. A bench also stood by this tree. As she came up to it, she sat down and sighed in relief. It was... beautiful. The woman rarely thought of the world but she felt a sense of peace right now. Though, with no one around... That felt a little odd for her. Stalker couldn't think of anything more odd though when a woman in almost tactical gear sat on the top of the hill alone. Bah, who the hell cares! It's almost time to go back home now.
Or... is it?
