It had been a little while since Tai had done formal training. He also had the opportunity to learn on the job when he had his visit to the world of the living. He fought real hollows and though they were not all that strong, their numbers were almost overwhelming. Whenever one was cut down, two more appeared after. He was lucky that he wasn’t alone and was with another shinigami. That experience in the world of the living made him practice his skills a bit more but not in any formal manner.
Speaking of formal training, Tai had been wanting some extra training from a certain someone. She was a captain in the 13 court guard squads and a master of Kido. The captain of the 8th division was not just a master but was considered the best at Kido. If Tai wanted to become greater than others then he needed to train with the best.
Needing to get the attention of the captain, he sent word via letter that he was requesting the training from the captain. Of course, he could have sent a messenger and got an answer that way but this way was more formal in his eyes. It showed more respect that he would take the time to personally write the request and then deliver it to the squad.
On the day that he was going to be training with the captain, he made sure he was punctual. His shihakusho was well fitted and without wrinkles. He appeared at the squad and waited until he was to be seen by the captain.
