Monstrosity Techniques
Extra Drawbacks for all Monstrosity techniques:
Before a character can take a Monstrosity technique, they must have at least 1 rank in the Monstrosity skill. Non-passive Monstrosity techniques are mutually exclusive with release abilities. During any post that a character has used a release ability, they cannot also use a non-passive Monstrosity technique, and vice-versa.
Extra Notes for all Monstrosity techniques:
If a Monstrosity technique cuts a stat or Monstrosity skill ranks, they return at a rate of 100 total stat points & 1 total skill rank per post, respectively.
Technique Name: Cryptid State
Class: 7
Technique Type: Cinematic, Passive Monstrosity
Usable By: Anyone
Technique Element: None
Technique Cost: 25 reiatsu, deducted when the user first assumes their Anathemic Form
Technique Description and Effects: Other characters cannot describe what you look like in your Awakened Form. Whenever a character tries to bring the details of your Awakened Form to mind, they can recall the features of specific techniques you utilized, but your exact appearance and the details of your Anathemic Awakening and Atrocious Awakening are lost.
How to use technique: This technique functions passively by moving the essence of the unknowable through the body of the user, manifesting them as a truly indescribable horror.
Technique Drawbacks: Before learning this technique, you must know Anathemic Awakening.

Technique Name: Aberrant Organs
Class: 7
Technique Type: Passive Monstrosity
Usable By: Anyone
Technique Element: None
Technique Cost: 25 per extra organ, deducted when the user enters a thread
Technique Description and Effects: When the user first enters a thread, they decide on the arrangement of their internal organs. Any organ except the original brain can be moved to a new location within the body, if its mass will fit inside its new seat of function without interrupting the other functions of that part of the body. Furthermore, the user can have compressed, redundant copies of vital organs within their body, which have all the functions and functionalities of the original and allow their body to continue functioning if at least the minimum requisite number of any type of organ is maintained (no fewer than two adrenaline glands for full adrenal support, for instance) with only half the normal mass used for any redundant organ that is extant. These extra parts are assisted by any necessary amount of secondary biology, such as eyelids, supporting blood vessels and fascia.
How to use technique: Have an alternate arrangement of internal organs.
Technique Drawbacks: Each redundant organ of the body costs reiatsu to have, and new organs cannot be created while inside a thread; they can be added only when a character first joins a thread.

Technique Name: Abnormal Hunger
Class: 6
Technique Type: Monstrosity
Usable By: Anyone
Technique Element: None
Technique Cost: 50 reiatsu
Technique Description and Effects: When this technique is first Learned, the user chooses up to three types of material. At Proficient and again at Mastered, the user chooses up to three more types of material. The user’s digestive biology changes, allowing them to bite through, swallow and comfortably digest any of the chosen material types. For each use of this technique, the user can eat up to 5% of their body weight in the chosen materials. Each post for 2 posts thereafter, they break down and digest 2.5% of their body weight in materials, which is converted into 1 Phantom Monstrosity. Phantom Monstrosity can be spent in the place of Monstrosity skill ranks, allowing the user to employ Monstrosity techniques that might normally be beyond their capabilities or overextend their skill.
How to use technique: Convert digested material into extracted bodily power.
Technique Drawbacks: Once Phantom Monstrosity is spent, it is gone forever. Phantom Monstrosity only accrues by 1 point for every 2.5% of the user’s weight they consume and digest in the selected materials.

Technique Name: Anathema Awakening
Class: 4, 1
Technique Type: Monstrosity
Usable By: Anyone
Technique Element: None
Technique Cost: 150 reiatsu for Class 4. 800 reiatsu for Class 1.
Technique Description and Effects: The user transforms into an even more powerful monster for 4 posts, gaining a selection of traits unique to the character (chosen when this technique is first Learned). When this technique is Proficient, its duration extends to 6 posts, and when the technique is Mastered, its duration extends to 8 posts. While transformed with this technique, the user’s body resists cutback as though they were using a release.
The Class 1 version of this technique adds a second potential stage of transformation to the user, which lasts for the same duration as the Class 4 version, and has its own additional properties.
When this technique is Learned, its user must select which body properties the technique can give them while the technique lasts, regardless of whether they are learning the Class 4 or the Class 1 version. For each stage of transformation, the character may select either 1 Anathemic Power trait and 1 Anathemic Form trait or; 2 Anathemic Form traits. The Power and Form traits allowed are as follows:
Anathemic Power
• Swallow Whole: By catching a character in their maw, the transformed character can quickly swallow an entire character whole, storing them in their gizzard or stomach, where they take damage each post based on an Offensive Strength equal to half the monster's Strength. The first time this trait is chosen, it allows the monster to swallow whole up to 2 characters; the second time it is chosen, it allows the monster to swallow whole up to 5 characters.
• Terrible Appearance: Characters looking upon the body of the monster are struck with a deep terror. Those without at least 2 ranks in Lack of Fear have their Offensive Strengths reduced by 50% against the monster. If this trait is chosen a second time, it advances to Will-Breaking Appearance, which causes characters looking upon the monster to lose 2 Mental skill ranks of victim's choice per post. Ranks lost to Will-Breaking Appearance return at a rate of 1 per post a character is not looking at the monster. A character with Lack of Fear 4 is not affected by this Power trait.
• Increased Tolerance/Resistance: During the user's Anathema Awakening, any Tolerance or Resistance skills they have increase by 1 rank for each time this Power trait is selected. This Power trait cannot raise any skill to 4 ranks for any reason.
• Matter Ingestion: From any maw, the monster may ingest matter of a single chosen type. Each post that a maw consumes a sizable amount of that matter, the monster regenerates 50 points of Strength.
• Power Regeneration: By repurposing parts of their own body, the monster may regenerate from injuries that would otherwise be debilitating. The first time this Power trait is chosen, the monster may spend 25 points of Strength to regenerate from any injury to their limbs and up to deep lacerations and heavy bruising to their body. The second time this Power trait is chosen, the monster may spend 250 points of Strength to also regenerate from heavy injuries to their core and internal organs. Strength stat spent to empower this ability is not regained per the normal Monstrosity technique rules, until the Anathema Awakening expires.
• Singularity: The monster's Anathemic Power traits and Anathemic Form traits cannot be copied or mimicked by any other character in the same thread.
• Toxicity: The monster's body secretes a thick slime that poisons characters coming into contact with their skin. If this Power trait is chosen a second time, the monster's natural attacks are laced with venom. Poison from this trait drains 1 rank of Poison Resistance per post of contact; when a character has no Poison Resistance remaining, the poison instead inflicts a 10% debuff to their highest Offensive Stat. Venom from this trait breaks down victims' bodies internally, dealing damage each post based on an Offensive Strength equal to one-tenth of the monster's Strength, less 100 Strength per point of the victim's Poison Resistance. If a victim has Poison Resist 4, it takes 2 posts for this trait to reduce their skill to 3 ranks.
• Breath Weapon: Up to once per post, the monster may exhale a gout of weaponized breath up to 10 feet long per 200 Strength they have. This breath weapon must have an organic basis and component, but can be either cold or hot in nature. If the monster has the Toxicity Anathema Power, the breath weapon may instead be poisonous in nature, matching the effects of a poison the monster has.
Anathemic Form
• Two Extra Arms: The monster grows two additional arms.
• Two Wings: The monster grows two wings, which are capable of propelling them at up to half their Speed. If this trait is chosen a second time, an additional two wings grow, increasing the monster's flight Speed to their full Speed stat.
• Dermal Armor: The monster's body develops thick scales, bone growth or some other form of armor. The first time this Form trait is chosen, the monster's body becomes Class 4. The second time this Form trait is chosen, their body becomes Class 1. This trait cannot increase the monster's body to a Class higher than their own. Dermal Armor is bypassed by released weapons of equal or greater class, though they are reduced by half in effectiveness, plus 10% for each previous hit against the armor.
• Chitinous Morphology: The monster's body develops a thick chitin, limited to one region of the body. Attacks at this region of the monster's body with less than or equal to 50% their Strength are ignored; attacks over 50% of their Strength damage the chitin, depleting Durability from a pool of x2 the monster's Strength.
• Maw Manifestation: The monster may grow an extra maw on a core part or extremity of their body. To do so, the monster must spend 100 Strength, which does not regenerate per the normal Monstrosity rules until the Anathema Awakening expires.
• Natural Weaponry: The monster's body develops natural weapons, taking two different selections from the below sub-list:
• 2 Claws: These claws usually grow on the end of two arms, and strike at Anathema Awakening's Class.
• 4 Bone Spikes: These spikes sprout from the monster's arms or shoulders. By spending 10 Strength, a bone spike can be fired from the body at an Offensive Strength equal to half the monster's Strength. Strength spent to fire a bone spike does not regenerate per the normal Monstrosity rules until the Anathema Awakening expires.
• 2 Horns: These horns typically sprout from the monster's head, neck or shoulders and can be used for goring attacks or blocking attacks. The horns have Durability equal to twice the monster's Strength.
• 1 Tail: This tail sprouts from the monster's torso or abdomen and is half as long as the monster is tall. It can be used as a battering ram or sweeping attack to hit everything nearby.
• 2 Tentacles: These tentacles can sprout from anywhere on the monster's body. They have half the user's Strength but are 10 feet long per 100 Strength of the monster.
How to use technique: Channel your inner beast and make it your outer beast.
Technique Drawbacks: The user must have at least a 2 in Monstrosity to learn the Class 4 version, and at least a 4 in Monstrosity to learn the Class 1 version. To use the Class 4 version, the user must take a 100-point cut to Strength and a 1-point cut to Monstrosity. To use the Class 1 version, the user must take a 200-point cut to Strength and a 3-point cut to Monstrosity.

Technique Name: Atrocious Awakening
Class: 1 (500 TTP to Learn)
Technique Type: Passive Monstrosity
Usable By: Anyone
Technique Element: None
Technique Cost: 800 reiatsu, deducted when the user first enters a thread
Technique Description and Effects: This technique can be Learned any number of times. It cannot be made Proficient or Mastered. Each time it is Learned, its user gains one of the following qualities, which become active when the technique’s cost is paid:
• Alien Mind: The user is immune to the effects of taunts, infatuation and intimidation from non-release sources, and from release sources that do not meet or exceed the Class of the user's Anathema Awakening.
• Amorphous Nature: The user’s ooze-like body permits thin or pinpoint physical attacks to pass through it harmlessly. To injure the user, a physical attack or weapon must have a thickness of at least an inch.
• Berserk Rage: If they have a heavy or critical injury, such as something debilitating to their ability to function in combat or that threatens their life, the user’s Strength-based attacks increase in Class by 1, up to a maximum of their own Class.
• Bulletproof Hide: Ranged attacks and shockwaves are 50% less effective against the user.
• Catalyzed Pheromones: The user’s skin, hide or carapace secretes a powerful pheromone that can infatuate even the most stalwart minds and subvert even the stoutest biologies. Each time another character makes contact with the user, their Poison Resist is reduced by 1. If Poison Resist is 0, a character becomes infatuated with the user on their next bodily contact with them. Infatuated characters hesitate to harm the object of their affection, pausing for 1 second or more before committing to any action that could directly injure or be construed as an act of aggression against their beloved.
• Chameleon Skin: The user can alter the color of their skin, hide or carapace, allowing them to blend in easily with their surroundings. This mimics Stealth 1 in function, and causes visual senses that would detect the user to get a general idea for where they are, rather than be able to pinpoint their exact location.
• Adaptive Body: The user’s skin, hide or carapace alters itself to gain resistance to the last element that was used against them, halving the damage they would take from further interactions with attacks and techniques of the same element. Before this trait can be selected, the user must first have the Chameleon Skin trait.
• Yin-Yang Adaptation: The user’s body chemistry alters itself when their Adaptive Body triggers, analyzing and creating the biological nemesis factor of any element that harmed them, and then insinuating that factor into their natural attacks. For example, if a user of this trait were struck with an ice-element attack and that element’s user were weak to fire, then the user’s body would adapt to add an element of fire to their natural attacks.
• Chlorophyll: The user’s eyes and skin have adapted to use bright light to its advantage by absorbing its energy. This makes the user immune to the negative effects of bright light. Additionally, as long as the user is in sunlight or bright light, they lose cuts and debuffs to their post-type Strength at a rate of 50 points per post.
• Compound Eyes: The user’s eyes alter to pull in light from additional angles, widening their view and making it easier to detect fast movement. When the user has line of sight to their target, accurate effects they use that depend on depth and positioning are twice as effective as they would normally be.
• Cull the Weak: The user’s veins run thick with adrenaline when their life is on the line and they detect weakness. If the opponent has intent to maim or kill (Damage Permanent and Death Enabled threads) and the opponent is affected by a debuff or poison, the user ignores 25% of the opponent’s defenses.
• Extra Anathemic Form: The user’s Awakened Form develops additional features, allowing them to take on an additional Anathemic Form from that list. This trait can be selected up to twice.
• Extra Anathemic Power: The user’s Awakened Form evolves further, allowing them to take on an additional Anathemic Power from that list.
• Frightening Fury: The user’s aura alters to become that of a murderous predator, causing prey to overexert themselves in a panicked response. Characters must pay double reiatsu costs while frightened of or intimidated by the user.
• Gluttony: The user’s jaw and esophagus alter to mimic a snake, allowing them to unhinge their jaw and swallow materials whole. The user can eat more quickly, and may consume food items during combat posts.
• Gullet: The user’s digestive system becomes more efficient, extracting nutrients from consumed materials at multiple steps during the process. One post after eating a consumable, the user will gain its effect again.
• Heavy Shell: The user is accustomed to a thick coating over their skin that breaks away as they take damage. Once this protection is removed, the user feels lighter on their feet and finds it easier to maneuver. When the user’s Durability is 0, their stepping technique multipliers increase in speed by +2x. Before benefiting from this trait, the
• Horrific Shriek: A great pressure is applied to the user’s body while they undergo transformation. The user’s larynx alters to use this pressure to produce a deep grating sound that pierces the hearts of opponents. When the user undergoes their Awakening transformation, opponents that can hear them have Lack of Fear reduced by 1.
• Hunter’s Sense: The user’s nervous system alters to become predatory, causing their sight, hearing, taste, and smell to become more acute and work better in unison. This alteration mimics Anti-Stealth 1.
• Inevitability: The user’s body has been altered to bear any burden, fighting through any resistance with muscle, blood, and bone. If an effect would prevent the user from using a bodily technique, instead it doesn’t.
• Invincibility: The user’s body resists general intrusion and unwelcome alterations. The user gains the equivalent of 1 rank of a resistance skill that is effective against any debuffing or debilitating condition. When a debuff or debilitating condition affects the user, if its duration is measured in posts, it lasts for 2 fewer posts. Post durations reduced to 0 in this way are negated.
• Ironsides: The user’s body has altered to adapt to any environment, gaining the ability to alter skin density, fat content, and blood flow. The user is immune to the effects of weather.
• Long Limbs: The user’s limbs alter to be gibbon-like, extending to uncanny lengths and increasing in functionality. The user’s reach increases by half their height, only their extremities make contact as a part of most physical attacks, and effects based on making contact do not spread down their limbs.
• Mind-Breaking Horror: The user’s features alter and distort to become grotesque, mimicking descriptions of eldritch horrors. Opponents being assailed by such a horrific sight begin to lose their composure. When the user attacks, reduce the opponent's Calm Mind by 1. If the opponent’s Calm Mind is 0 when the user attacks them, the opponent cracks under pressure like a Prodigy.
• Pinnacle Form: The user’s body has reached the peak of its conditional development. Though it may acquire additional traits, the quality of these traits will be of the highest order. If the user is in the second stage of their Awakened Form, they clash with stat debuffs with 100% higher stats, but cannot increase their own stats through short-term or long-term stat boosts to any more than +100% of their normal stats.
• Powerful Wings: If the user has at least 600 Strength and two wings (whether naturally or from the Two Wings Anathemic Form trait), they may flap their wings to direct a powerful gust of wind away from their body, pushing on and damaging opponents with the sheer force of the air itself.
• Recuperative Cocoon: Over the course of 1 post, the user may wrap their body in a silken cocoon and partially transform into a liquid state, permitting their regenerative capabilities to advance into overdrive. If the user remains undisturbed, they rapidly recover from harm, healing up flesh injuries and damaged tissue over the course of 1 post after the cocoon is formed. After 2 posts, the user regenerates any limbs they are missing. After 3 posts, they regenerate any vital organs they are missing. Before taking this trait, the user must have at least 300 Healing Expertise.
• Sensitivity: The user’s direct and lateral senses combine, allowing them to read and process information at a greatly enhanced level, as their senses have entered a form of symbiosis. The user combines their Senses stat with their Energy Sensory stat, using the combined total for both types of sensory detection.
• Sonic Storm: The user’s capacity for sound-based techniques expands, permitting them to be used as twice their normal ranges. If it is not appropriate to increase the range of a sound-based technique, instead increase the speed at which it moves by 50%.
• Superior Stomach: The biology of the user expands in function, allowing them to take greater advantage of anything they consume. Whenever the user consumes a food item that has a numerically measurable effect, the effectiveness of that food item doubles in amplitude (though not in duration). Before taking this trait, the user must have at least 100 Healing Expertise.
• Swarming: The user’s body teems with dozens or hundreds of much smaller versions of themselves in their Awakened Form, which cling to the user’s body as a form of armor and grouping, while the user’s essence is split across their original body and the bodies of these swarmlings. This is represented as 10 stacks of swarmlings, each stack of which qualifies as an individual creature.
Whenever a technique or release ability would affect the user, if it cannot affect all of the original and their remaining stacks of swarmlings, it cannot affect any of them. If a technique or release ability would damage the user, they may shunt that effect over onto 1 stack of their swarmlings, losing that stack for the remainder of the thread.
• Stem Swarm: The swarmlings that cover the user’s body can be used for sacrificial healing purposes. When the monster loses up to 10% of their body mass, whether flesh, limbs or organs, 1 stack of their swarmlings scurry to that location and transform into the missing body parts in a fashion similar to high-speed regeneration. Before taking this trait, the user must have the Swarming trait.
• Tardigrade Carapace: When this trait is first acquired, the monster character chooses no less than three elemental or physical weaknesses. If the user pays an extra 400 reiatsu when they enter a thread, they become resistant to all other forms of damage, effectively 3 points of resistance skill against everything except their chosen weaknesses. In exchange, damage from the chosen weaknesses cannot be regenerated or healed by any means, and damage from those sources increases by 200% against the monster. When this trait is selected, a technique creation thread must be submitted and approved before it can be used, which details the exact elemental and physical weaknesses the monster gains.
• Territorial: The monster has a cosmetic method of clearly marking their territory for prey and other monsters to detect, such as (but not limited to) scratching and scenting its boundaries, or corrupting normal terrain features with a miasma of fleshy spiritual manifestations. The monster’s territory can be up to 250 meters in radius. Inside the area that is marked as their territory, the monster may choose to benefit from a 25% increase to their Strength, Speed and Instinct. Using this trait counts as a long-term stat boost.
• Uncanny Senses: If a character has any techniques or release abilities that would be abnormally injurious to the user (such as a weakness, or an offensive technique 2 or more Classes greater than the user’s own Class), the user becomes aware of those techniques or abilities moments before they are used, doubling the window of opportunity that they have to react to those attacks.
• Vitality: If the beastly character relies on a stamina timer for their combat activity, the number of posts they can remain active for at their best level of stamina increases by 2.
• Will-Powered: The user’s body is powered by their sheer willpower just as much as their muscles and nerves. If the user would become paralyzed or their actions would be controlled by another agency, they can rally their will to force themselves to move under their own control, regardless of even muscular interruptions or the presence of poisons. To take this trait, the user must have at least 3 ranks in Strength of Will, and when they use it during a post, they take a 2-point cut to their Strength of Will skill. If the user has no Strength of Will remaining, they cannot use this trait.
How to use technique: Develop your monstrous form into a more specialized atrocity.
Technique Drawbacks: Merely having these traits limits the amount of reiatsu the user has to work with.

Technique Cost: 600 reiatsu per hit
Technique Description and Effects: This technique guards against attacks. If the user has 300+ Strength superiority over the enemy's Offensive Stat, then the user is undamaged by all attacks from that enemy. At 150-299 Strength advantage, the damage is reduced down to no more than scrapes, scratches, and minor bruising. At less than 150 advantage, the user's Damage Recovery effectively increases by 1 rank, but there is no other effect.
How to use technique: Concentrate a grotesque transformation into just the user’s skin, inuring them to trauma.

Technique Name: Exoskeletal Armor
Class: 4
Technique Type: Passive Monstrosity
Usable By: Anyone
Technique Element: None
Technique Cost: 150 reiatsu
Technique Description and Effects: The user benefits from a highly complex bodily defense, consisting of a layer of shear-thickening gel between two layers of armor. When an attack impacts with this defense, its Offensive Strength is hard-capped at no more than 200, limiting the effectiveness it can have on the user. With each subsequent hit, however, the efficacy of this defense sequentially breaks down, increasing the cap by an additional 200 Offensive Strength as it loses integrity. This lost integrity returns to the armor at a rate of 100 OS-cap per post it goes without its protection being tried by a subsequent hit.
How to use technique: Have a tough carapace.
Technique Drawbacks: Each hit against the user increases the cap of Strength the armor permits through, including hits from multi-hit techniques, allowing those types of attacks to essentially shred through the protection it provides. Furthermore, each hit the user tries to protect themselves from with this technique costs another increment of the technique’s reiatsu cost.

Technique Description and Effects: The user gathers up any toxins or debuffs currently affecting them and moves them to the surface of their body, while generating additional skin from below. Then, the corrupted flesh falls away, taking the toxins and debuffs with it. For every 2 skill points required to resist an effect, an additional shedding is required to fully purge an effect. When the dead flesh falls away, it reveals that the skin beneath has been refreshed, sealing up injuries and removing destroyed or necrotic tissue up to 6 inches in dimension, whether wide or deep.
How to use technique: Expel toxins and detracting conditions into the external-most layer of the body, slough it off and revitalize the fresh skin beneath to replace it.
Technique Drawbacks: This technique requires the user to have at least 200 Healing Expertise to use, and after using it, they take a 50-point cut to post-type Healing Expertise. After this technique is used, it takes 1 post before it takes full effect.

Technique Name: Silent Fog
Class: 2
Technique Type: Monstrosity
Usable By: Anyone
Technique Element: None
Technique Cost: 600 reiatsu, deducted when the user first enters a thread
Technique Description and Effects: An effect possessed by only the most horrific monsters. The user’s body generates and effuses an accumulating mist that dampens light, scents, sounds and spiritual presences. Each post, the mist spreads out an additional 100 meters from the user in all directions, though it never rises to a height of greater than 250 meters. Inside the area of the mist, the affected mediums of detection are harshly limited, reduced to only 25% of their normal effectiveness and ranges of effect. This effectively turns day into night within the mist (and night into a dim glow at best), all but mutes sounds, and hides spiritual bodies from detection by Energy Sensory. While within the Silent Fog, any existing Stealth skill whether by friend or foe increases in effectiveness by 1 point, and techniques designed to allow for communication or relaying information over distances fail, unless they can defeat this technique in a Class Clash.
How to use technique: Exude the mist of the unknowable from your body. Using this technique is automatic and passive.
Technique Drawbacks: Once the fog has been started, it cannot also be stopped by the user inside the same thread. Due to its presence, the user cannot announce or broadcast their presence, and communication techniques they try to employ automatically fail.

Technique Name: Thick Hair
Class: 5
Technique Type: Passive Monstrosity
Usable By: Anyone
Technique Element: None
Technique Cost: 100 reiatsu, deducted when the user first enters a thread
Technique Description and Effects: The user’s body is protected from intrusion by environmental suspensions, such as (but not limited to) ashes, dusts, fogs or spores that float in the air or water. Moreover, these suspensions accumulate on the outer surface of the monster’s hair while they are in an airy environment, and deliver their effects (if any) onto victims the monster touches, even if they have already left the environment in which their hair gained those suspended particles.
How to use technique: Have a body that is or can be covered in hair or a hair-like substitute.
Technique Drawbacks: A good rinsing can clear suspensions out of the user’s hair, meaning that when they are hit with a large amount of water, they lose any benefits their hair has accumulated.

Technique Name: Helter-Skelter
Class: 8
Technique Type: Step, Monstrosity
Usable By: Anyone
Technique Element: None
Technique Cost: 0 reiatsu
Technique Description and Effects: For the distance of a single step, the user moves at 8x their normal speed. For the duration of this technique, the user’s musculature is primed for additional movement, allowing them to react twice as quickly to stimulus and input.
How to use technique: Contract and expand one’s muscles beyond their normal capacity, forcing them to propel the body at high speeds at the cost of endurance and efficiency.
Technique Drawbacks: Each time this technique is used, its user takes a 25-point cut to post-type Strength and strains the muscles in their body, making them 10% more susceptible to Offensive Stat-based harm during the subsequent post.

Technique Name: Megalodon Skin
Class: 2
Technique Type: Monstrosity
Usable By: Anyone
Technique Element: Shark
Technique Cost: 600 reiatsu

How to use technique: Transform the body with a concentration of grotesquery.
Technique Drawbacks: To use this technique, the user must take a 2-point cut to Monstrosity. The defense of this technique can be bypassed by any attack with superior Offensive Strength.

Technique Name: Monster Bones
Class: 4
Technique Type: Passive Monstrosity
Usable By: Anyone
Technique Element: None
Technique Cost: 150 reiatsu, deducted when the user first enters a thread
Technique Description and Effects: The user’s bones are extremely dense and thick, making them roughly 33% heavier than they would normally be. In addition, these dense bones provide the user with a Classless source of Durability equal to two and a half times their post-type Strength stat. If the user already has or would gain Durability to their body from another source, this technique instead adds half its normal Durability to that other source.
How to use technique: Have bones, whether internal or external.
Technique Drawbacks: As a classless source of Durability, attacks and techniques of any Class are capable of damaging this technique’s Durability. If the user is capable of flight, their flight speed diminishes by 25% when this technique has been used upon entering a thread.

Technique Name: Powerful Build
Class: 7-2
Technique Type: Passive Monstrosity
Usable By: Anyone
Technique Element: None
Technique Cost: Standard by Class, deducted when the user first enters a thread
Technique Description and Effects: For each Class of this technique, the user increases in height by 4 feet, with a commensurate adjustment to their other relative measurements and weight, providing an increase in leverage and mass-related force. When entering a thread with this technique, the user chooses whether and how many Classes of it to employ.
How to use technique: Channel an aspect of monstrosity and the giants of yore.
Technique Drawbacks: The user cannot exceed 40 feet in height through this technique. The Strength requirements for being any given size must still be observed.

Technique Name: Shed Skin
Class: 3
Technique Type: Monstrosity
Usable By: Anyone
Technique Element: None
Technique Cost: 400 reiatsu

How to use technique: Step off the ground with a burst of strength, trampling anything in the user’s way.
Technique Drawbacks: The user must have at least 2 ranks in Monstrosity to use this technique.
