Hello everyone! I hope everybody is having a wonderful 2023 so far (or at least as good of a year as they can ask for). I am writing this post because, as the title suggests, I am taking a hiatus. I don't know how long this hiatus will go for, but I do know that I have been dragging myself to the keyboard to try and write for Bleach for months, and have failed to do so because my brain is elsewhere. I am thoroughly burnt out, spiritually and emotionally, from my job. I have struggled to wake up in the mornings. I have struggled to really make any progress towards the life that I want to live. This isn't the fault of Bleach or anyone on this forum, but it is the fault of drowning myself in 'other' activities that aren't working on my new career path.
As some of you know, I am trying to make it as a self-published author (my first book will hopefully be published this year and I will let people know in discord when it's published, the title of the entire world's numerous series will be 'Mystara: A Tale of Myth and Magic' so you can look for it sometime later this year on Kindle and sometime early next year hopefully available for paperback) and that means that I have to write daily, and treat it like a job. This unfortunately means that after exhausting my brain on trying to put anywhere from a few hundred to a few thousand words on paper, I have no energy or desire to write, and the knowledge that I'm holding others up is doing nothing positive for me.
But worry not, I'll be around on discord. My characters aren't 'disappearing' so to speak, but their positions are open if someone wants to challenge them. If not, I'm sure that I'll want to keep the characters when I do eventually come back, so don't worry about those characters disappearing forever. I hardly play on my quincy and hollow currently, and I've been struggling unbearably hard with my Shinigami.
So. For those who are in threads with me, feel free to turn them in - you deserve whatever rewards you should get without waiting on me. For the threads I'm currently part of, I have no intention of posting in them, so don't wait for me, feel free to write me out however you like or say that I've said whatever is necessary for your characters to continue to develop.
I'm sorry for not recognizing this earlier and I apologize for whatever inconvenience I've caused with my delay and my wishy-washy decisions.
So, this is farewell, but hopefully not a forever goodbye. Good luck, to all of my writing friends and to everyone who joins after I've left. Hopefully, I'll see you again soon.
