Physical Description:
Vannan has changed his hair style and hair color, no longer does he wear it down instead it is spiked back and is now pure white with a small light blue hue to it. While his hair is shorter than what it once was, it isn’t that short, if Vannan doesn’t style it upwards it could easily fall into his face. His eyes are now violet, rather than the blue they use to be. These new violet eyes seem sunken in and have less life in then than they use to have. Vannan’s gaze always seems to be looking past someone and into the distance.
While before one of the things Vannan cared about before was his appearance that really isn’t the case anymore especially given that his face isn't without it's flaws, on the left side of his face by his jaw line there is a scar that continues down the side of his neck ending at his shoulder. This scar was given to him by a hellion when it dug it's claws into his face. While he could pay to have it healed he keeps it as a reminder to him of what he failed to do, he will get it healed once he accomplishes his goal, until then he wants it as a constant reminder of his failure.
Now the scar on his face isn't the only on his body. On the outside of his left thigh there is a cylinder shaped burn mark that runs horizontally . The center of the burn mark is a deep crimson while the edges of the burn mark are a soft pink. Normally this burn mark is covered up by his clothing, however from time to time one can see it if Vannan isn't wearing a lot of clothing or even a bathing suit. Other than those two scars Vannan's body is mostly clean from any kinds of marks, every once in a while a hollow burn in the shape of a hand print will show up in odd places on his body, but when asked he just comments that he was in a fight.
While those two are the physical scars that can be easily seen on Vannan, he has one more that can’t normally be seen, those with a good amount of energy sensory skill will see a massive scar running down the center of his chest. This scar seems to be stitched with thick strands of string. This is the very same scar that was created when Vannan’s heart was replaced with that of an akki’s. If one is able to see this scar they will see a black haze seeming to pour out from the scar and around where his heart is a massive pool of swirling black energy.
While this Akki heart has several boons for Vannan it’s also something that he tries to keep secret, a fact made much harder by the fact that his blood is black. Vannan’s blood when spilled and exposed to oxygen, unlike normal blood that turns red, comes out as a black ichor. If spilt his blood sticks to anything and everything, almost like an adhesive. This black tar like blood is also extremely hot, normally hot enough to cause burns to normal humans, however anything with any sort of spiritual power would just find it warm.
As for his body Vannan does take care of keeping in shape. While before he use to make sure he was fit and in good shape to be attractive to females. He now does it so that he can preform his job without having to worry about his physical strength hold him back. As such Vannan keeps himself well toned, not enough to be overly muscular, but enough that if he wears clothing that don’t cover his skin one can see his muscles easily. While Vannan does get plenty of sun due to his blood his skin always seems to be more pale than tan, while it isn’t something that is an issue Vannan isn’t exactly happy about it.
As for his clothing, Vannan can be seen in the usual captain supervisor uniform of the Vandenreich with a few modifications here and there. The most notable is the fact that he wears the jacket open with a teal shirt under it. While the jacket does have the Vandenreich symbol on it, it's very plain looking compared to the others that have more pockets and golden buttons on them. He dislikes that look and prefers to keep it clean. His belt buckle lacks any noticeable signs of it being Vandenreich and the same goes for his pants and boots. He chooses to dress this way because it makes it easier to drop the jacket and blend in with others if needed.
That is Vannan's work uniform though, when not in that he prefers to keep things casual and wears simple shirts and a pair of jeans. While he use to be one for rings and necklaces he has actually grown to dislike them say for a few which often leaves him wearing none of them except for the ring his sister gave him. Around his wrist he keeps his small quincy cross. On his right ear up in the cartilage there is a silver band earring that wraps around his ear, to most this would look like any other earring, but it is in fact his spirit fragment.

Dislikes: [Create a List below.]
Shinigami: Dislike isn't the word Vannan would use to describe what he feels towards shingami, it's more of a disdain for what they did and allowed to happen. They watch the world as it goes by not caring for what happens to it and yet when they see fit they intervene without worry of the consequences.
Squad 12 Shinigami: If normal shingamis weren't bad enough those in squad 12 are something entirely different. He doesn't know how these people live with themselves, the way they play with living creatures and toy around with their lives as if they were nothing but toys. The death of a member of their squad is nothing but a good thing.
Hot Weather: While a nice hot day at the beach is fine, being in hot weather isn't. The heat ruins any good moment and causes things to become awkward fast with everyone sweating.
Deserts: Heat, sand, but no water? This has all the bad parts about the beach without the cool ocean to cool off in.
Traitors to the Vandenreich: Vannan has overtime become loyal to the Vandenreich, he has given up his ideas of leaving the organization. He now knows that in order to protect others you must be willing to give yourself up to something and in his case it's the Vandenreich. So to him seeing someone up and leave the organization is a crime that must be punished by death.
Hollows: Hollows are mindless beasts that kill anything they see for food, the only good hollow is a dead hollow.
People who abuse their power: Power is meant to protect those around you and spread your influence to make it easier to protect those you care about, but there is no reason to abuse it to bully someone weaker then you or to kill them just because they're weaker.
Sour food: He has never liked eating anything sour, the taste just doesn't sit with him well.
Spicy things: When eating something he likes to be able to taste what it is and not just heat and flames everywhere.
Hollow scars: Hollows are nasty to any living being given that they can scar someone with just a touch, normally if the person lives the scars fade away, but with quincys that scar stays or at least in his case it did and he hates it with a passion, yet at the same time it's a reminder to never let his guard down.
Likes:
Remembering the times before the Vandenreich: Vannan does enjoy being in the Vandenreich, however he does wish at times that he could go back to simpler times when he wasn't a solider and constantly killing day after day after day. Maybe if he could go back to before the night terrors would stop.
Spending time in the human world: When not doing a mission Vannan is in the human world walking around and enjoying life. It reminds him of his past and to be honest if it wasn't for being called back for missions he could see himself losing track of time in the world of the living just being there and pretending that he's a normal person.
Sweet Food: Vannan has a major sweet tooth and when I mean major I mean major. Depending on what is offered Vannan can be bribed just with sweets.
Girls: Vannan is a healthy young man. There really isn't anything more to say about this.
Beach: Sun, sand, water, and cute girls in bikinis what more could a guy want?
Drinking: Drinking helps him forget the things that he has done and not think about the things he will do. Deep down he is still human and he knows what he is doing is morally wrong, but it's for the grater good so he does it anyway.
Parties: Drinking, drugs, loud music, people everywhere a person can easily get lost in a party and lose their individuality. In a party no one cares what you did the night before they only care about the here and now.
The power the Vandenreich have: There is no getting around the power that the Vandenreich have. Vannan knows this and enjoys the fact that he belongs to an organization with this much power. He can use this power to protect, to keep others safe and most of all to keep them from knowing.
The Necklace his sister gave him: It's a simple gold one that he wears around his neck. She just gave it to him not long ago.
His little sister: The main reason why he joined the Vandenreich he joined to keep her from having to join in so early.
Flaws:
Trust issues: Trust isn't something that is easily earned, no it's something that must be earned through hard work. However when it comes to Vannan he just doesn't trust people even if they prove themselves loyal to him. He feels that trust with others is fickle and while at times he may lower his guard or even act in a way that shows that he is trusting someone he really isn't. He always has a plan to get out alive.
Deceitful: Vannan is an actor, a story teller and most of all a liar. Almost everything he says or said contains one lie or another, but he does this in order to protect what he sees precious.
Skewed morals: While he use to have a great moral compass now they have become skewed. To him the only guiding principles that he lives by are “survive” and “protect her”. Anything else is considered in the way. If something does get in the way he will take the easiest course of action to remove it even if it's considered wrong by others.
Guarded heart: Vannan more than anyone else knows what love can do to someone. His love for his sister has caused him to become like this. So now he tries to keep his own feelings in check when it comes to feeling love. He doesn't want someone to come in and change who he is.
Habits:
Smoking: Vannan has picked up this habit as a way to deal with stress, now it’s a crutch to him that he does to simply kill dead air or to just be doing something.
Manipulating the truth: Lying and being deceitful has become second nature for Vannan, half the time he doesn't even realize that he's doing it.
Playing with hellfire: Just as other often mess with fire and play with lighters, Vannan does the same with hellfire, for some reason he's drawn to the unique feeling of warmth it gives him.
Fears:
Death: Now most people have a normal fear of death it's a natural thing for anyone to have. Vannan's fear isn't that he will die it's what will happen after he does die. He's the only reason his sister isn't in the Vandenriech. Something he wants to protect her from.
Being unable to help his sister: He couldn't keep her safe the first time, so this time he needs to find a way to bring her back. His fear is that he can't bring her back and that she's lost to him forever.
Being trapped:As many times as he has gotten himself kidnapped or even taken hostage to be part of some sick game Vannan is fine, however what he isn't ok with is being trapped in a small room or just trapped in general. He dreads the feeling of powerlessness that comes from not being able to move. To be stuck somewhere and unable to escape an attack or what ever is coming towards you is something he fears. Life is ever changing and people must go with it, when they are trapped they ignore the natural flow of life, usually with dire consequences.
Caesar: This man is someone who Vannan fears with all his life because of how crazy he is. Vannan has seen Caesar kill Quincies at higher ranks then he was because they failed to meet his expectations.
The final fear he has is due to the Akki heart in his own chest. He fears that eventually the will of the akki will try and take over and take his body from him. He begrudgingly uses the power that it offers, however if he could he would rid himself of the heart.
Goals:
Wiping out the Gotei Thirteen: For too long shingami have claimed that they're right and noble, they've sat on the sidelines and let the world fall into the chaos that it is now. They need to be exterminated and purged so that the Vandenreich can take over their job.
Rising in the ranks of the Vandenreich: To do what he wants to do, he needs the authority of others so that his plan can happen. So no longer does he wish for the Vandenreich to fall and be destroyed instead he wants to rise up so that with their help he can make his dream a reality.
A personal hand with the death of every member of Squad 12: These shingami have no right to live nor do they have the right to a quick and painless death. Vannan wants to see to it that they all have excruciatingly painful deaths.
Finding his true love: Even with his heart guarded he does believe that true love exists and he wants to find it. Someone who he can actually be real with instead of just acting.
Creating a better weapon than a Zanpakuto: Vannan knows all too well that shingami have an extremely powerful weapon that is a Zanpaukto, he wants to go past this weapon and make something even stronger. He knows that it will be hard, but if he’s able to do so he might be able to make something that can do the impossible, cut the chains of hell from a soul.
Breaking the chains of hell from his sister: Vannan blames himself for the failure that caused his own situation as well as what happened to his sister. She’s forever trapped in their family home chained down by the chains of hell. He knows that there is nothing in his own hands that could break the chains so he has to look for another way, he knows that one way would be to get enough favor from the Emperor, the other…. Possibly make a weapon designed specifically to break the chains.
Alignment: Neutral Evil
Overall Personality:
Vannan has given up his free spirit nature and has taken a more serious approach at life. No longer is he a free floating leaf follow the stream of life, instead he swims with the current when it suits him, but will easily swim against what comes towards him when he deems fit. Before Vannan would simply just roll with what was given with him and simply deal with it as it came. Now he no longer let’s himself be simply swayed by the whims of others and actually takes actions to further his own goals.
While working hard still isn't something he likes to do when needed he will do the work, however if there is a chance to get the same results by taking an easier path or even having someone else do it he will choose that over doing hard work. He will often do this by tricking or lying to others to make them do it, he doesn’t feel any sort of guilt about doing this to others. No Vannan no longer cares about hurting the feelings of others, nor making enemies of them when they find out the truth.
His views about freedom has stayed the same. Just like before he believes that freedom is a natural right for everyone to have. Something that is intrinsic and important to them to survive and thrive. Those that are trapped and isolated are stifled and hindered by this restriction. That belief is the same it hasn’t changed one bit, however even if he still feels the same about freedom he knows deep down that freedom isn’t something that can be given to everyone. While hypocritical he knows the harsh reality of the world and doesn’t want to see those he care about be destroyed by their own freedom.
While he believes that everyone has the right to be free, however freedom is just that a right and sometimes you must take that right away from someone in order to protect them. While he would love to allow those he cares about to be out and about without a care in the world, if he believes that the world is too hostile towards him and in return towards them he will keep them safe by restricting their freedom. He knows that the world is cruel and knows all too well about what happens when his loved ones run around free.
There are two types of people Vannan consider who are closed to him, those that he has seen willing to risk their own lives to protect his own life or his sisters and those that he has lied to because he sees them as useful to his own goals. Vannan doesn’t let many get close to him by the normal means, those that do will usually end up on the list of seen as disposable to his plans and goals. While he will fake the emotions of caring and sympathy for them, they’re just tools to be used at the end of the day.
For those that he actually does trust he gives them some insight into his actual plans and goals. These folks are rare and usually the ones that he keeps himself more reserved around, given that he knows letting too much of his real self out to them can be taken advantage of. Even still Vannan does hold them with higher regard and wants to help them if they need help. These are the very same people who Vannan would hold back and keep from doing something that would cause them harm. He’d do this by any means necessary, even if it means hurting them himself.
The only person that Vannan actually can be himself around is his sister, however that relationship is complicated now. While he does have a somewhat positive relationship with his sister he doesn't tell her the truth. He doesn’t know how much of the truth he can tell her, because the last time he let her in she got hurt. While he wishes that he could simply come clean about everything, he knows that it’s better to keep her in the dark about a lot of things. With her knowing that he lies to him and him not willing to risk it he often gets angry and upset at her for his own actions making his own situation worse as he alienates the only person he feels comfortable being open with.
Dealing with his sister in that manor has made lying become second nature for Vannan and is the default way he interacts with anyone. For that matter he rarely tells anyone the truth about anything. He keeps things from everyone, he only tells people things that he deems necessary. Even from his superiors, while this can be seen as an act of betrayal from his superiors, Vannan would simply argue that they didn’t ask him to clarify everything or didn’t directly ask him about that. Vannan does know what to report to accomplish a goal or a summery if required and will do so, but anything that isn’t deemed as need to know will be withheld.
Now most of the time Vannan can be seen as a rather friendly person in the Vandenreich, often listening to others when they have issues and seeming to care about their life, however this is only an act that he puts on. This act is done at all times to everyone and everything. He will go so far to even protect weaker subordinates from a powerful in the name of the act, given he knows that he can win against the foe.
While fights are an inevitable part of being in the Vandenreich he doesn't actively seek fighting. He prefers to let others do the fighting for him if possible and if at all avoid fighting with someone, because he sees it as a waste of time. If a fight is inevitable he will indulge the foe. With the end result being Vannan killing whatever or whoever forced him into the fight without mercy. He doesn't believe that his power should be used so carelessly in the middle of a town or city so when forced he makes sure that the one who forced his hand pays with their life

Fighting Style:
Vannan isn't a fighter to say the very least. He dislikes the idea of being in a long drawn out fight and would rather avoid a fight if he can. To Vannan his own survival is more important than simply fighting someone else. He doesn't see any sort of honor in a duel or the draw of being in constantly in a life or death situation. He has his own goals that he sees more important than simply getting drawn into a pointless fight, and to Vannan almost every fight is pointless given that he knows most things can be solved by words and deceit.
If there is no helping it or he knows for a fact that he has to actually fight Vannan will often start off a fight with either a cheap blow or a hidden strike. He's of the notion that one lethal blow to kill his foes is more efficient rather than trying to show off and make a big deal about who he is and the power that he has. Taking advantage of people's weaknesses and open shots is very typical of Vannan knowing that if he can simply just harm them enough sometimes it will be enough to get them to back off the fight or even make a mistake due to the pain and damage they've suffered.
While not a fan of drawn out fights given the higher risk of damage happening to him Vannan knows clearly that his powers are made to have a drawn out fight. Vannan begrudgingly has developed a style to let him draw out fights by keeping his distance from attacks and letting his foes attack thinking that they have an advantage or are pushing him into a corner, all of this while he simply lets his power do it's work so that he doesn't have to work that much harder. This is usually his approach in a fight if neither has the true advantage, however that changes depending if he has the advantage or not.
If Vannan has the advantage in a fight he will keep pushing that advantage and keep the onslaught going. He won't let up on his foes if he can help it, knowing very well that if they can't defend against what he's doing he can end a fight as quickly as possible. Vannan will keep the attacks coming not giving a foe a chance really time to think or come up with a counterplan. By doing this he knows that he can keep up the small advantage he has and kill them while minimizing the risk to himself. The less danger he has to put himself in the better off he knows he will be given that at the end of the fight he still needs to walk away.
If Vannan ever finds himself in a situation where he's being pressured or his back is against the wall, his first instinct is to create distance and fall back. Already not a fan of fighting, when the threat of death is higher he will try and fall back or use some of his defensive options to keep himself safe. It's when he's being pressured that he will make sure that he will pull out techs, items and release powers without care about the cost to keep himself alive. If he knows that the fight is totally impossible to win, he will try and retreat. Better to run and live another day than die like a fool over a fight.
Vannan like many quincy use several different tools when in combat, however he himself isn't a big fan of ginto tubes. No instead Vannan would rather use other tools bought from the black markets or weapons he himself has created. He has a fondness for guns, knowing full well that guns are easier to master than a bow or a blade. That isn't to say Vannan doesn't use the odd sword now and again, especially if he gets them from the black market. Most of the time if he can Vannan will try to end a fight by using his tools and items rather than his own powers. No need in exhausting himself any more than he needs to.
While his form property would be assumed to be the most used property it actually is the second most used one. Vannan knows full well how powerful hellfire is and the effects that it can have. Watching others seeing their own powers be burnt by the wrath of flames of hell is interesting and always funny, however he knows that once the initial shock of fire burning what it shouldn't is over this proerties shock value is depleted. That is mostly what he uses this for as a shock value and to deal damage. Other than that he only sees the hellfire that is created as weaker than the plasma bolts he use to have.
While hellfire is flashy his firing property is the exact opposite of it and he takes full advantage of that fact. By utterly changing how he fires arrows and removing the tell of an arrow coming out he can use this to make those that are on the defensive miss an arrow coming towards them. While being pushed he can make them thing that he can't fire an arrow before one comes out without warning. The most common use of this however is to use other weapons and make people think that they're his bow by firing arrows out of them before attacking with his bare hands. While not easy, if he knows he has to kill someone beforehand he will get close before a fight breaks out and offer a handshake or even get his hands close to a person's body before unleashing arrows.
Getting to the meat of his powers, the power property that he has is both deadly and deceitful to others. Vannan knows very well that most individuals won't be able to tell that their soul is burning at first, while some tells are there, unless their looking for it many will be unaware of what's happening until it's too late and their soul is burnt away. Even if someone does understand what is going on it won't help them as once the burning starts Vannan won't let it end till it burns them to their death. That alongside the fact that Vannan will keep his distance and away from most foes will force them to burn themselves out.
Just like the his power property his mass property isn't exactly flashy, honestly it's Vannan's least used property and one that he really doesn't like to use that often. However he knows full well how to use this, he uses it as a tool to control an area. While most fights take place in open areas when in enclosed spaces Vannan will make full use of his mass's unique ability, by doing so he's able to make the full use of his other properties. Vannan dislikes how little it can do by it's self, however he fully knows how good it is to combo with other properties active. Still if he has to use it alone he will usually do it to create area explosions where others aren't looking and wouldn't think exist.
Agreeably Vannan's favorite bow property he has is his heart one, and that's for one very simple reason, the suitability it gives him. While being able to burn someone's soul via simple touch is extremely useful, he will more often than not use this property defensively rather than offensively. Knowing that being hellfire allows him to survive several hits that should have been lethal or let him sacrifice limbs without actually losing them lets him take somewhat calulcated risky moves to kill others without bringing lasting risk to himself. While it maybe his favorite property it isn't his most used one, no that honor belongs to his soul property.
When Vannan has several options as to use, his soul property is his most common and used property for the simple fact that just like him the real power of it is extremely deceitful. While not giving his foes an obvious sign that they're being affected by his burn they will slowly start to succumb to the burning of their soul. Eventually if Vannan can let a fight draw out long enough they will burn away simply by existing nearby him. A powerful ability, however it does need him to be close to them adding the risk that he could get hurt. While he would be happy if this would be something he could use alone, he knows that it shines better when used with other properties active.
Vannan isn't a fan of Vollstanding to say the least, he dislikes that once it's used it forces himself onto a timer himself. He doesn't like the feeling of knowing that if he doesn't end a fight fast he could lose it simply because he took to long to end a fight. That's what he does to others, and he knows full well how close those sorts of fights are. Honestly if he could he would make sure that he would end a fight before being forced into using Vollstanding. While the power it has is tempting, simply just havin that sort of strength doesn't mean a fight will end quickly.
To Vannan Vollstanding is the last resort, it's something he will only ever use when he knows that he can't win by any other means. Even then he will more often than not try to run away before being forced into using it. If all other means don't work Vannan will bring out Vollstanding and use it to try and end a fight without holding back anything, knowing full well that this is the end of a fight, either he wins or he dies Vannan will go all out and even take extreme risk if he thinks it will grant him a win. Knowing what sort of state he gets in it's rather disgusting to think how he has access to it.
Bow Release Overall Theme:
Vannan's overall bow theme is hellfire. Due to his situation in having a transplanted Akki heart his original power of plasma was overtaken by a stronger flame. With hellfire now as his theme his power revolves around the manifestation and manipulation of it and affecting the world with a unique property of burning away a persons soul using it.
Bow Release Properties:
Form Property: Hellfire:
Normally it would be impossible for a pure blooded quincy to have access to hellion reiatsu, Vannan however with the implanted Akki heart has both blood and hellion reiatsu flowing through his body. With this his form property has the ability to turn his arrows into real hellfire, these arrows have all the same properties that hellfire has.
Firing Property Within my grasp:
Vannan is able to fire his arrows from his hands without a single motion, this also extends out to anything Vannan is holding.
Power Property: Eternal Burn:
All arrows that Vannan fire out have a unique property, when they come into contact with an opponent, an opponent’s release or an extension of their release they will impart a burn upon the foes soul. The terrifying part is that this burn apart a person's soul isn't felt by the individual in any way. This burn burns away 100 of a person’s maximum reiatsu pool upon contact and then gain a stack of the burning then they lose 50 per stack per post at the start of the opponents post . This doesn’t burn a person’s reiatsu and if someone has reiatsu over their max that was there because of their burn, it doesn’t vanish.(Individuals can regain reiatsu up to their original maximum if they can regain reiatsu) Instead the real strength of this burn is that it attack’s an individuals soul based off of how much more reiatsu over their current maximum that they have. For every 10% reiatsu they have currently over their maximum they have 10% of their soul will burn away, this burning of the soul will destroy an individual’s soul however it will leave their body without damage. Vannan is able to burn a person’s reiatsu maximum to under 0.
Mass Property: Spreading influence:
All of Vannan’s arrows after being fired if they land or explode leave trace amounts of them in the area where they do so. These areas will carry all the properties of what the arrow had at the time, if other properties are activated that affect arrows they can affect the areas as if they were arrows. Areas affected by this can explode for a cost equal to the cost of a class 1 arrow regardless of the original class of the arrow.
Heart Property One with the fires of hell:
Vannan turns his entire body into that of hellfire. This hellfire form has the same properties of being able to burn a person’s reiatsu maximum if he comes in contact with an individual, their release or an aspect of their release. This doesn’t have the initial burn like his power does, however it does add stacks per contact. Being made up of hellfire allows him to ignore normally lethal attacks. While he’s still able to take damage, being made of hellfire he’s able to slowly regenerate the hellfire that his body is made up of. Slowly his hellfire will replace it’s self at a rate of two posts for minor wounds meadium wounds recover at a rate of 4 posts and major wounds at a rate of eight posts. However damage is still received if he changes back to normal before he has healed from this. For a cost he can accelerate the healing by one post for every 150 reiatsu he spends.
Soul Property: Defiled land:
In an area around Vannan of 50 feet Vannan extends out the soul burning effect of his power property to the world around him. What this does is that when someone first enters the area or starts their post in the area they will suffer 100 damage to their reiatsu maximum and gain a stack of the burning soulfire. Vollstandig Divine Form (Vandenreich Only):
Upon using Vollstanding Vannan's entire flesh and blood body rapidly heats up and melts into something more sinister. The entirety of his essence is replaced with manga straight from the pits of hell. This new body that Vannan has has turned his flesh into hell magma. His clothing is now plates of hardened obsidian from the magma as well as flowing magma acting like cloth. This clothing is consists of a pair of armored boots that cover up to his knees. A typical roman tunic alongside a heavy plated chest piece with shoulder paulderns and a pair of large gauntlets that cover his arms up to his elbows, the final piece of armor is a twin horned helmet.
While being made of magma from hell is impressive, the real power is that Vannan is able to spew out both the hellish magma and hellfire being able to control both of them. This hell magma caries all the same properties that hellfire does, however with the added benefit is that anything that any fires ignited by the hell magma is hellfire. This firing of hell magma or hellfire costs the same as an arrow of the same class.
Vollstandig Divine Power (Vandenreich Only):
While Vannan's original power was all about burning away the soul of the user, his divine power is all about burning away everything. All of Vannan's reiatsu based attacks now carry the property to burn everything. When a reiatsu based ability of Vannan comes into contact with anything, if it doesn't beat it's OS it will instantly burn away into nothingness. Individuals will slowly start to burn away over the course of posts. The speed at which they burn depends on how high their spiritual offensive strength is they have for every 100 they have(post type) they will gain 1 post before they burn away. This burning away will accelerate with each hit by 1 post. Sadly for those this burning also burns away the soul so HE will not recover lost body parts.
Vollstandig Divine Soul (Vandenreich Only):
All around Vannan in a range of 100 feet hell magma spews from the ground covering it in a hellish scape. This hellmaga now burning so bright that it destroys even the reiatsu in the air and burns away the souls of everything nearby as well. What this means is that anything that requires either the soul or reiatsu in the environment will no longer work. That induces air ground and quincy regain as well as their own racial step tech.

Willpower is a technique that is available to most who dwell within the human world, and has a variety of effects that make it a versatile and useful technique. This technique is one that manifests the willpower of the physical body. It essentially causes spirit and physical body to "become one" and merge their powers. There are two uses of it. The first is a non battle use, and is the main use. The main use is simply to know the technique, which slows the aging process of the body and allows the possessor to live easily as long as a Shinigami or Arrancar. This is a will-based technique, however, and thus, if will vanishes, so does its power to stop the aging, which quickly catches up. Mod Souls and Bounts have a minor version of this part at all times, which allows them to age slowly at all times; humans and Quincy learn this version at Class 1.
Willpower has three stages that are associated with it, as listed below:
[Stage One: Cog]: By giving up 100 Reiatsu, the user pumps an explosive amount of intimidating power out. Anyone of inferior class will immediately be intimidated. This does not mean they won't fight. Those who are weak enough in comparison will feel a huge, exaggerated surge of power that will probably make them surrender. This can also be used on Hollows to actually scare them away instead of having to kill them. This does NOT work on animals! It only works on "intelligent beings." This means unless it has a similar to human intelligence, this wont' work on an animal.
[Stage Two: Pulley]: This causes physical output to increase based on draining spiritual energy. It costs 400 reiatsu. When activated, it increases physical stats by 50%. However, it causes the skin to begin to blister from pumped out Reiatsu. Essentially, skin begins to burn. It's a quick burn. Within 5 posts, burning will start to become quite serious. On top of that, statistic gain is lost by the post, starting after the second post of this being active. After that time, 10% of the gain is lost every post. It can only be restored by sacrificing 150 Reiatsu per 10%.
[Stage Three: Gate]: This has no initial cost. Reiatsu strength and Spiritual pressure (but NOT Reiatsu amount) both double. From there, reiatsu output goes up, meaning that costs are also doubled for everything. On top of that, 100 reiatsu is lost per post until this is deactivated.

This technique does not take up a technique slot.
How to use technique: Focus the body’s energy and release during a step. This technique can be broken off in the middle of its use. Unlike other step techniques, this one can be repeated while in the middle of the previous one, allowing someone to change their movement course in mid movement.

Analogous to the Shinigami Shunpo or the Arrancar Sonído, the Quincy Hirenkyaku allows the user to move quickly over short distances; according to many Quincy, it is faster than flash steps, though a Captain's superior speed in comparison to a Master Quincy's speed suggests that this is just a generalization. Using it in its base form increases speed 10x for a single step, and costs 50 Reiatsu. However, unlike Shunpo and Sonido, this can be used for a constant movement as well. Giving up 400 Reiatsu allows for a constant movement over the duration of one post at 6x speed. Giving up 1000 Reiatsu allows constant movement over the duration of 3 posts of 4x speed.
How to use technique: To perform the technique, the user gathers spiritual particles under their feet and rides them to the desired location. Like the air-walking skill displayed by most Arrancar and Shinigami, it can also be used to hover or fly for long distances.

Technique Description and Effects (Explain appearance, powers, and effect): An ancient and powerful Energy Generate technique uncovered, Electrocution is a natural force using technique. This EG uses the raw power of electricity as its weapon, ravaging an enemies body as it is released from the hands or fingertips of its user. As the caster is only the conduit for the lightning, the EG does not rely on any of his physical or spiritual capabilities to perform. He simply needs the necessary Reiatsu to use it. Electrocution is a devastating Energy Generate as no force living or dead can withstand the effects of an electric shock. When the lightning strikes the target they will, typically, clench up and become immobilized as the pain of Electrocution courses through their bodies. Those struck by the electric shock are subject to the pain of high powered electricity. As mastery of the technique rises so does the power behind the electricity. Reiatsu Strength is the used Offensive Stat for this technique, but because this technique has definite damage the OS is simply used for clashes.
Class 4: The user cannot fully utilize the power of this technique at this Class. At Class 4 all the user can do is create a quick blast of electricity, a single and quick bolt that does nothing more than quickly immobilize and hurt the enemy. The bolt is quick, moving within the seven meter range of effectiveness in the blink of an eye. The immobilization caused by the bolt is quick fleeting, doing nothing more than stopping the target from performing an action (someone running would fall over). It is essentially the equivalent of someone being shot with a taser.
Class 3: Class 3 users of Electrocution are a force to be feared on the battlefield. As they practice and hone their talents with the technique they soon reach the level where they are no longer limited to a quick spark. Class 3 can release a steady stream of arcing bolts of electricity from their palms or fingertips for approximately seven seconds. While only one target can be struck at this level, the power at this level is much higher than its Class 4 state. Immense pain is inflicted upon the target, causing either intense tension in the body as it freezes up or simply collapsing. While not as lethal as the Class 2 version, this level of power is very useable in the battlefield. Unlike the former level, this one will even leave smoldering , second degree, burns upon the victim's body where the electricity struck. Machinery relying on electric parts are easily and effortlessly disabled by Electrocution at this level. At Class 3 it is entirely capable of killing people if you’re not careful.
Class 2: The most powerful level of this technique and only few have ever achieved. Upon becoming Class 2 users of Electrocution the user can easily gain the advantage on multiple opponents at once. The user can choose to release his technique from one or two hands or if Mastered from their entire bodies, releasing multiple forked arcing bolts of electricity to attack up to three foes at once. As the beams are forked they can jump between enemies, meaning one man can hit three people at once if they are close together. When the Class 2 version is fired, it doesn’t stop until the user either dies or wills it to stop. Multiple, hindering, third degree burns will cover the victim's body, often leaving them a steaming mess. The electrical power this technique is comparable to a lightning bolt, making it absolutely devastating against people. Continued and multiple exposure to this attack can cause someone to have cardiac arrest or completely disintegrate them.
How to use technique (How is it activated?): Using the technique is rather simple. One simply focuses their reiatsu into their hands and imagines lightning. Its a technique that gives hardly any sign of its preparation, making it an extremely useful surprise attack.
Technique Drawbacks (Limitations, repercussions for use, etc) A technique this powerful requires equally powerful drawbacks, and this technique has its own hindering drawbacks that makes someone think twice before using it. As the user is using his own arm(s) as the conduits for the technique, constant exposure to such high amounts of electricity is damaging. While the Class 4 version of this technique is far more lenient than its other versions, it can still cause numbing in the hand using it if used four times within seven posts. The Class 3 version is not so forgiving, however. The technique can be used safely twice before any of the limb damaging effects happen. Burning of the hands and arms is commonly seen after being used twice, as well as numbing of the arm that hinders its ability to be adequately used in combat. The numbness will recover after four posts. The Class 2 version of this technique though is the most damaging. It can only safely be used once, and anymore runs the risk of permanently damaging the user. Continued use of the Class 2 Electrocution would result in sever, third degree, burns across the length of the arm(s) that conduct this technique. While the Class 2 version can safely be used once, it will still result in the casters arm going completely numb and becoming partially paralyzed for four posts.
It has other limitations as well. Electrocution only has an effect range of ten meters, meaning an enemy has to be relatively close for it to even be effective. As this power is using pure electricity, it can be grounded by things that would normally ground electricity. Spiritual steel is able to partially block most of the power behind this attack, effectively halving most of the power but only if the target can block it in time. Both Hierro and Blut provide a natural defense against this technique, but follow Offensive Stat and Class Clash rules.

Technique Description and Effects: [This ability is not a stand alone technique. This ability takes any other ability and changes it. At class three, this ability takes any technique and turns it into one of two dragons. The first dragon option is the serpentine dragon of the East. The Asian dragon, extremely prominent in mythology and even certain parts of history. This dragon is twenty feet long, and comes with or without wings. The next dragon is the feared dragon of the West, most known for terrorizing the masses, and being slain by the knight. This dragon is twenty feet tall, and has one head.
Each dragon is comprised of whatever technique was used in conjunction with. The dragons are able to think and act independently, slaying anything in their path save for their master. The dragons will follow simple orders that their masters give out, but they will do said orders in their own manner. Each dragon is able to breath flames, carrying the same effects and combat stat as the ability that the dragon is formed from. If the dragon is slain, by any attack equal to or over 3/4 the rs of the original technique, will explode equal to its rs into the sky destroying everything above it in a violent pillar of reiatsu. The dragon's strength is 800, with 600 being the speed for the Western dragon, with the opposite being true for the Eastern dragon.
At proficient, the caster can create two Eastern dragons, each twenty five feet long, or a Western dragon standing thirty feet tall with two heads.
At mastered, the caster is able to create three Eastern dragons, each thirty feet long, or a Western dragon standing forty feet tall with three heads.

Description: Blut, translated as “blood,” is a powerful technique that is passed down through all pure-blooded Quincies of the Vandenreich Empire. This technique is a gift from the Vandenreich Emperor, and only exists as long as he, or someone of similar power who has assumed his role, is alive. Channeling that leader's power through their very veins, Vandenreich Quincy are able to draw upon it and make use of it either defensively or offensively in combat. This technique is not active by default, however, and a cost must be paid to trigger it.
The first half of this technique is Blut Vein, the defensive half of the ability. Acting similar to an Arrancar's Hierro, Blut Vein allows the user to protect themselves on the skin level, preventing any physical damage to the body as long as the user possesses a superior offensive stat. Unlike Hierro, though, this armor will not degrade over time. However, attacks with impact behind them can still send the user flying, though the bodily damage will be negated. Blut Vein costs 300 Reiatsu per post to keep active.
The other half of the technique is Blut Arterie, which focuses on offensive ability. While this ability is active, the Emperor's power flows through the user's body and soul, doubling either physical or spiritual stats. This takes up one of the user's long-term stat boost slots, and costs 500 Reiatsu per post to keep active. Note that only one of these two techniques can be active at a time; if one is activated, the other is deactivated.

Drawbacks: The first major drawback to Blut Vein is that it can be bypassed in one of three ways. First, if the opponent's offensive stat is higher by even a single point, then Blut Vein is ignored. Second, if the opponent is of a superior Class, then Blut Vein is bypassed. Finally, “final forms” of Release, such as Bankai, can ignore Blut Vein.
Blut Arterie has its own drawbacks as well. When active, Blut Vein is removed, removing the user's defenses. Aside from taking up a stat boost slot, the user is constantly funneling excess energy through their body, which is a tiring effect over time. Finally, while active, the user draws in half as much Reiatsu per post as normal, as they are focused on output more than they are on drawing it in.

Description: A divine gift granted exclusively to Sternritter by his Majesty. This technique allows the user to acquire a perfect analysis of anyone’s spiritual signature within a radius of 50 feet. Upon activation, the user’s eyes begin to subtly vibrate before the pupil becomes blue, overtake the iris, and become embossed with a Hagal rune. With these divine eyes, the user can gaze upon an opponent and identify their unique spiritual signature. Once they have acquired this information, any projectile technique they utilize, while this is active, will have the ability to home in on an opponent indefinitely. This technique can be applied to more than one person, but it requires a post of analysis for each person. As long as the user keeps the technique active, all projectile techniques can benefit from the homing aspect.
While any technique imbued with this one can continuously pursue a target, it does not change their speed or the degree of damage they inflict. It can only be used on projectile type techniques or items independent of the user. The user cannot use this technique on hand-held weapons such as katana. It can be utilized, however, on small projectiles such as daggers, throwing knives, and kunai, to name a few. Even when objects are granted homing abilities, they must yield to basic movement limitations. That is, they will need to curve around and re-attempt to strike the target.
How to Use: Activated by paying 300 reiatsu and using that post to acquire the reiatsu signal. The user can imbue up to 10 items, each costing 50 reiatsu, to home indefinitely until destroyed or deactivated. The user has the option of paying 100 reiatsu, per post, following activation to maintain any spiritual signal and continue to imbue items should they be destroyed. At no time can more than 10 items be imbued with this ability, but the ability can be removed from an item and transferred to another without cost.

Description: A supremely powerful flame that is practically eternal, and another gift from his Majesty. This technique allows the user to draw in Reishi and purify it by cleansing it of impurities. By doing so, the user can create an immaculate spirit particle that they can condense tightly. This results in blue fire that can burn any form of spiritual particles or energy. It can burn and destroy things that were once believed to be non-flammable, such as the rocks and sand of Hueco Mundo.
The technique can fire as a projectile, but can take on different forms depending on the user. One user might choose to fire it as a stream of fire from their finger while another by throw a fireball or create a swathe of fire. Regardless of form or quality, whatever spiritual particle or energy comes in contact with the flame will be set ablaze and used as a source of fuel for the fire itself. Those with bodies composed of spiritual particles/energy (e.g. Shinigami, Arrancar, etc.) are highly susceptible to the blue fire. It will attach to a spiritual being and ignite anything of spiritual origins. It will steadily burn away clothes, armor, skin, techniques (such as kido, including barriers), and the spiritual body itself. Once the flames touch an opponent, they will find themselves fatigued for it is burning not only their body, but their energy. These flames are impossible to extinguish unless the opponent pays the same amount as the user forfeited for the technique. If an opponent does not have the total amount of reiatsu to spend, they can pay 90% of their existing reiatsu.
If the flames miss an opponent, they will continue to burn and spread, unless the objects are of human origins and exist in the human-world. In the soul society and Hueco Mundo, the flames will have a rich source of fuel and burn eternally, until the thread ends or extinguished by an opponent. The flame's merciless destruction of spiritual energy can leave an enemy fatigued simply from close proximity.
How to Use: The base cost for use is 800, but the user can choose to forfeit additional reiatsu in order to increase the cost effect inflicted on the opponent. The user can spend up to an additional 1200 reiatsu, which will require the opponent to spend the total reiatsu forfeited in order to extinguish the flames.

Drawbacks: Does not affect other Quincy, Fullbringers, or other human bodies. A user with 50% reiatsu advantage can extinguish the flames immediately without any cost, though they will still incur damage from initial contact.

A useful technique whose use had been lost through the ages and only recently rediscovered, Ransotengai is an ability that allows the user to create strings made from spiritual particles. These strings can be attached to the user's body, allowing parts of them to be moved around in a manner similar to puppets. One string can control a single limb, or the head, and one string is attached to each finger, giving a total of ten strings. Doing so, however, leaves the hands occupied and unable to be used for other abilities while this is active. The main use for this is to enable the use of a limb that has been damaged, or to counteract torn muscles or broken bones to ensure that one can still move, albeit with great pain. Upon mastery of this technique, it becomes that much more versatile; these strings can now be attached to another person besides the user, though this is only able to function as a support technique due to the frailty of the strings.
How to use technique:
Draw in Reiatsu and turn it into fine strings that attach themselves to the user or, at mastery, to another person.
Technique Drawbacks
The first drawback to this technique is that while it enables the use of damaged parts of the body, it doesn't necessarily restore function as much as it simply puppets the area about. Steady pain is a symptom from this, along with a reduction in effectiveness; any physical attacks made through a puppeted limb is treated as though its offensive power is halved. Additionally, any drawbacks that damage the already-damaged area are either doubled in potency or advanced one tier, whichever is worse, depending on the technique.
The second drawback comes when puppeting another person; these strings are frail, and can be broken easily. When attempting to grab a hostile foe, this technique is simply shattered by pulling against it, as it requires voluntary permission to be controlled. They can also be snapped by any attack with half the user's Reiatsu Strength or more when used to puppet another person, as a foe can simply sever the connection by striking the strings. This doesn't work when the user is puppeting themselves, as the strings flow along their body, so there's no way of stopping it short of severing the limbs.

This is a vicious technique used by strong reiatsu beings. This allows the user to grab a hold of reiatsu, cycle the energy through their body, consume it (therefore making it theirs), and then hurl it back. In other words, one can redirect the enemy's reiatsu based attack by catching it and throwing it back either by spin or just catch and throw.
How this works has been stated above. Now, the important thing to recognize is that there are three classes to this technique. The class 3 version can catch reiatsu of any class except class 1+, and redirect it for half cost of the technique. The class 2 version can do the very same, except it layers the user's reiatsu strength on top of the enemy's reiatsu strength for the returned attack. It also uses the full cost. The class 1 version can return any technique regardless of reiatsu strength, and does so with the user's reiatsu strength layered on top of the enemy's. However, it does so for double cost, and does not work on class 0 techniques.

At Learned, this allows the user to walk into shadows in order to move about, reappearing through another shadow somewhere else. At Mastered however, this technique allows the user to create portals of shadow for transportation instead, shaped as the Vandenreich emblem, allowing them to make their own shadows instead of relying on those in the world around them.

Drawbacks: While Schatten costs no reiatsu in order to create, it cannot be used with zero reiatsu. Stepping through shadows, or creating portals of shadow, take far too much time in order to be able to do in Combat.

Technique Description and Effects:
Everyone has memories that they can recall, some they hold close to their heart while others they wish to forget about. With this technique the user is allowed to have someone else see through their memories. The memory is chosen by the user and then once they make contact with their target they will relive the memory.
Now there are a few different ways Vannan can use this. The first way is on someone who wants to see the memory. A user who wishes to see the memory will have a choice to either experience it as Vannan himself or watch it from the outside. If someone does watch a memory as Vannan, they are also subjected to the emotions he felt at that time. If he felt happy during that time, they will feel happy. If he was sad they will feel his sadness. This is a great tool he has to allow his memories to be passed onto other officers so they can recall everything that happened and sense what he felt, during battles or missions. While he mostly uses this to show others what happened during missions he can show them other memories.
Now an unwilling target has to have either a lower class or a lower attacking stat than Vannan for them to be affected by the memory. Someone of this way sees the memory from the third person and watches it flash through their head as if they were on the sidelines seeing everything, but never able to react or interact. Anyone watching from the third person view is not subjugated to how Vannan feels at the moment, even if the person is willingly viewing the memory.
That covers if Vannan only uses one memory, however he is able to also show people short bursts of different memories if they have something in common. EX: Him killing someone. If Vannan chooses to show someone all the people he has ever killed, then whoever is receiving the memories will see short five-ten second bursts of all the people he has ever killed in rapid succession. Vannan could do the same thing if he wanted to show all the people he ever kissed. All the memories must have something in common. The same rules apply to this as the single memories, IE a willing person can see them through Vannnan's eyes and feel how he feels and a non willing person can see it from the outside if they're lower class than him or lower in the offensive stat.
How to use technique: [Vannan has to think of the memory that he wants to have someone see and then touch them.]
Technique Drawbacks :
This being a cinematic technique means that Vannan does not gain any battle advantage. All memories that are seen are lived in a liquid time, where no matter how long passes in the memory only a spit second has passed in the real world. This split second time difference can not be used to attack or taken advantage at all by Vannan. A willing target will feel what Vannan felt during that memory, however an unwilling target will not. Now that isn't to say that the memory will not cause the target to feel some kind of emotion based on who they are. EX: Caesar sees a memory of Vannan being nice and friendly with a shingami,Caesar will not feel the positive emotion Vannan has at that time, however he might get mad because of what Vannan is doing. Caesar getting mad at Vannan was due to his own personal reaction to the memory, not Vannan's emotions in the memory making him mad.

This is the next step in Vannan's use of Das Fenster in die Vergangenheit. Instead of letting a person relive his memories he is able to take the emotion from his memory and implant it into an object. That object when interacting with someone will cause them to feel that emotion.
How to use technique:
Vannan holds something then picks a memory from his past and the emotion along side it to implant it into the object.

Vannan has to have physical contact with an item to implant an emotion into it. This tech can not be used in a combat thread.

History:
Vannan Harper was born in Karakura town to two Vandenreich supporters, while neither of his parents were proper members of the Vandenreich themselves they supported the cause of the Emperor. His father had been crippled early on in a mission and his mother was too weak to be of use, so instead of being solders they decided to do the next best thing and have children to give to the glorious Vandenreich. Vannan was the first of many that they had planned for, however their plans wouldn't go as planned as while his parents were willing to have more kids they quickly found it difficult to do so.
Vannan's childhood was anything but normal, while most kids at a young age would be playing with toys or other kids Vannan was forced to study and learn all about the glory of the Vandenreich this upbringing caused him to hate the idea of the Vandenreich much to his parents dismay. While he went to a school at a young age it was a special school ran by quincies loyal to the Emperor to help spread his message. The basic education they gave was enough to get by, but they were more interested in making loyal soldiers. The never ending pressure to be a good quincy was felt at all aspects of Vannan's life.
This became worse as he became seven years old, that was when Vannan's father forced him to start to learn the art of being a quincy. All the free time that Vannan use to have before school and after school to play or just be a normal kid was replaced with training. Vannan's father wasn't happy with just having his son just barely able to form a bow at the age of seven, he wanted Vannan to be able to hunt hollows already with the proficiency of a full grown adult. As such Vannan lost all sense of a social life that he had after school with his fellow quincies replacing it with just training.
With so much emphases on training Vannan's father had expected that it would take only a few months to actually be able to manifest his own powers. However a year had come and gone and Vannan hadn't even so much as had a breakthrough with being able to notch more than a single arrow at a single time. This made his parents both upset and enraged at their child, seeing him as a waste of good Vandenreich material. All of this rage eventually manifested in something that they assumed would either force Vannan to take training more serious or hopefully scare his powers out of him
Vannan one day when he came home he saw his father smiling at his son and two strangers sitting in the living room. One was a child almost his own age and the other a man in a pure white uniform. Vannan didn't know it, but it was at this time that he met a real Vandenreich officer. Without even saying anything to Vannan, Vannan's father grabbed Vannan by the wrist and dragged him out to the back yard, with the other two following them. When outside Vannan's father finaly spoke “listen here, you and that boy are going to have a little fight using your powers.”
Vannan looked at his father dumbfounded, but before he could even say anything the kid started to launch out blasts of fire from his bow. Vannan desperately tried everything he could to try and stave off the attacks. While he did he could only hear the laughter from his father and the man next to his father. Tripping over a rock Vannan landed on the ground with his back to the earth. There he saw the little kid standing nearby holding up flames. Vannan in a panic raised up his hands and fired out an arrow, it was at that time when his very first plasma bolt would be fired out burning the kids face and causing him to fall over. Vaanan looked over the adults, but instead of them worried for the other boy both of them started to complement him and told him that he did a good job.
Vannan was sick to his stomach, knowing full well that the other kid was extremely hurt and it very well easily could have been him. There wasn't much he could do as that night he went to bed terrified of what would have happened to him if he didn't get lucky. Still he didn't have time to voice any sort of worry as the news the next day was that his mother was pregnant. The next nine months came and went in a blur, Vannan would be there as he watched the birth of his sister. He was a bit happy only due to the fact that now there was someone else that his father would give attention to, which allowed Vannan to be a bit more lax on training and actually sneak out and hang out with other people that weren't quincy.
The next few years came and went without any major incidents in Vannan's life, without even realizing it he eventually became a teenager. It was also at this time that his little sister had turned five years old. He knew very well that soon she would be forced to do the very same training that he had been doing for the past seven years. He worried that it would be too much for her and that if she didn't do well eventually his father would place the two of them against one another in a fight very similar to what had happened in his own childhood. However that fear was unfounded as his sister at the age of five seemed to be a prodigy creating her bow and even using her own powers well before Vannan could ever. She was growing at a rate much faster than Vannan, it was with this realization that Vannan was told he didn't need to bother as he was a waste of time and would bring shame to the family.
Vannan's life eventually became much better just because his sister was a better quincy than him. As a teenager he finally got the freedom he so desperately wanted. He went to a regular highschool and eventually a regular college. Vannan was able to put down his quincy heritage and embrace the freedom that came with having somewhat wealthy parents in Karakura town. He became a person that loved to party and enjoy the night life, this would continue into Vannan's early adulthood, constantly coming home late and even being found passed out drunk on the living room sofa. Vannan was enjoying living life without a care in the world.
It was during one of the very few times he came home sober that he would see a man in a white uniform standing before his parents in the hallway with a sinsiter smile across his face. Vannan knew very well that this man was a Vandenreich officer. Vannan thought it had nothing to do with him till the man spoke up. “Well as lovely as your home has been, the Emperor is asking for a new recruit from all families, I know that your first choice is still a little young, but after a year she will be of age to join our glorious cause.”
Vannan stopped as he looked at the man, the man had to be crazy his sister would only be fourteen and they were trying to drag her to an army. Before he could say anything else the man continued speaking. “While the Emperor doesn't want to take every child from the families he needs new soilders, as such only one will suffice.” The man would look at Vannan before saying one more thing. “Captain Kirten will take great pleasure in training the new female recruit.” Vannan knew exactly what the man was implying and wanted to do something but he found himself being pinned by a pressure that didn't allow him to move an inch.
He could only watch as this man simply walked into the shadows and vanished. Vannan looked over at his parents who were more than happy to allow their only daughter to be sent to a slaughter house. Vannan could feel the rage building in him and knew exactly what he had to do. Even if it would cost him his freedom, he couldn't let his sister be put in danger for his own selfish nature. As such for the first time in many years Vannan strarted to train once more, he had one year to prove himself competent enough to take his sister's place. It was during this year that his parents would pass away due to an unfortunate accident. While they no longer were there he didn't stop training knowing first hand the reach the Vandenreich had.
With a year pass he went and became the single family tribute to the Vandenreich he wasn't happy about it, but it would keep his sister safe. It would be on the tour of the Silbern that he would come into the massive Cathedral. There he would meet the man who would terrify him, Caeser. The old quincy would be in the middle of a speech, however Vannan couldn't understand the words as the simple pressure coming off of the old quincy was enough to sufficate him. Caesar was an impossible wall that he could feel staring down into his soul. This wouldn't be the last of seeing Caeser, however it was the first time Vannan ever met the man and Vannan did everything he could to avoid him.
For a long time Vannan was able to do so, slowly doing missions and staying a low ranking member of the Vandenreich he didn't need to have a high place, because he was only doing this to make sure his sister was safe. It was during this time that he was forcefully drafted into a mission with Caser and another quincy named John. He was told that he was needed due to his skill in sneaking around. Something Vannan did to escape the base and get back to the human world to simply enjoy life and be a regular person from time to time. He wasn't exactly happy about doing such a mission, however he did it anyways.
The start of the mission was less than pleasant as the three of them had arrived in the sewers of the soul society, luckily they were able to use the rather large side of the canals to avoid the murky water. Vannan couldn't even stand the smell of the sewers and almost threw up multiple times, however the glaring gaze of Caser kept him from doing so, simply worried that he would be killed for doing so. While they were invading another attack was going on to give them enough cover, it was this cover that allowed them to enter under the barracks of squad 12, a place that Vannan never hopes to be in again.
There in test tubs were countless bodies of individuals floating in strange liquids. Several of them were naked and all of them were horrifically disfigured. Later on Vannan would come to find out that all the individuals there were Nakkabaki. What really set Vannan off was seeing a pregnant woman floating in a tube. He can't remember who did it, but one of the three eventually destroyed the room and all those in the tubes were dead, while they had created an explosion they quickly moved on with the mission as stopping for simply a few dead souls wasn't worth it. Vannan did vow that day to kill every last squad 12 member however.
From there finding their target wasn't too hard, given that their stealth mission was to steal the Sokyoku for the Emperor. Racing to the hill after John left to go and do another side mission him and Caesar arrived there seeing the massive spear. Vannan was told that he would have to be the final line of defense as Caesar would slowly use the shadows to suck the massive spear into the Silburn. Vannan had no longer become a stranger to killing folks at this time, however he still didn't like the idea of killing someone. However when it came down to it, if it was either his life or the life of a stranger he was going to prioritize his own.
It was at this time that the final defender of the Sokyoku came after the two them. Vannan fought as best as he could. While the assassin was faster than him he was able to get off a few blinding shots that eliminated the threat. However what he wasn't expecting was to see that the shingami that had been attacking him looked exactly like his sister. He didn't have enough time to process this as the moment the shingami fell to the ground the Sokyoku vanished into the shadows and their mission was a success. Only after the post mission briefing did Vannan call his sister and speak with her for the first time in a long time.
After that mission Vannan felt something wrong with his powers, he knew very well that the arrows that he use to fire use to be based off of a radiation, now his powers were changing. He had no idea as to what was happening, knowing full well that the Vandenreich would have an answer he went to a Vandenreich doctor who told him that sometimes those blessed by the Emperor awaken new powers when they go through an experience. While upset Vannan went to study his new powers, before his powers had been flashy and easy to see, now they were more deceitful and sneaky, part of him thought this was due to his habit of hiding. Whatever the case was he still had a good power for infiltration, so he knew he would get less missions, which was fine by him.
It was only a few years back when Vannna would meet the second general of the Vandenreich and the closest individual in the Vandenreich to the Emperor, Baal. Vannan was summoned to a room that he had never been in before, then suddenly he found himself infron of Baal, just like before when he had met Caesar he felt the vast difference between him and Baal, however he didn't feel the immense pressure like when he met Caesar. That was till Vannan voiced a bit of annoyance with the mission he was going to be sent on. Then suddenly he felt a pressure like nothing before, it was if Caesar had been a simple wave, while Baal was the entire ocean coming down on him at once.
While meeting with Baal like that was a suprise it was a simple talk about sending him on a mission, Vannan took that mission and completed it. That mission was nothing to really give notice to, however it lead to his very next assingment. This would be the one that would forever change Vannan. He made a mistake and was kidnapped mid mission, a scar across his chest and an impossible burning filled his heart as he slowly came to and started to realize what had been done to him. These freaks had used him as an experament and placed an akki heart into his chest. They were no better than the members of squad, however before he could do anything he blacked out from the pain and reawoke in the hotel room that he had gotten for the mission.
Vannan had been summoned by Baal and the man told him everything that he had seen Vannan do, at first Vannan thought that he would be killed given that his loyalty wasn't to the Vandenreich, however that would be further from the truth. Vannan was then told by Baal that if Vannan vowed his utter allegiance to Baal he would make sure that his sister would be forever safe. No longer would he have to worry for his sister's life. Still as proof of this he would be forced to do a mission and make sure that it would succeed. Vannan took the offer without caring about his own life. Baal also made note of Vannan's new feature and how it would be useful in the upcoming fight.
Vannan was to track down an assassin and Vannan did so, while the mission was messy and honestly Vannan came out of it a bit worse than he did going in he knew that his sister would be safe, or so he assumed so. Before Vannan could even tell Baal to move his sister he was sent on another mission, followed by another. Each time Vannan was barely able to escape with his life, each time he felt his power getting weaker and weaker as he felt the toxic blood of the Akki run through his system. Finally Vannan was able to return home, Baal had gone missing for a mission by the Emperor so Vannan couldn't speak with the man about how he wanted to take care of his sister.
Upon reaching his home his jaw dropped and he was filled with rage. His home had been broken in and there was a sign of a fight. Vannan ran through the halls of his home trying to find his sister, she had to be alive, she had to be somewhere. It was as he reached her room he saw a bloody note on the messed up bed. Reading it he felt a chill down his spine as he saw it was for him, telling him that since he had been such a success with the transplant, they wanted to see how far they could go, however with him not there they decided to help themselves to his sister since she was related by blood.
Vannan didn't have to look hard to find these people given they told him on that note where they would be and if he wanted to take his sisters place they would be more than happy to have him. Vannan wasn't a fool he knew very well that it was a trap. Going there armed the best he could he ran in killing everyone he could. He didn't care how much blood he spilled he was going to get his sister back and he wasn't going to let these people harm her. As he kicked open a pair of double doors he would see his sister strapped to a table and the sick doctor that had done everything to him there standing with a wicked smile across his face.
Vannan ran right towards the man before a pain in his chest started. Each step as he moved towards this man became more and more painful. As he tried to form a bow he found that he couldn't even properly do so. His powers were leaving him and he couldn't do anything about it. He wasn't able to draw in reiatsu nor use a step tech to get in range. Suddenly the man started to laugh and clap his hands. “I didn't think that the heart would have this reaction to me.” He said in a wicked tone before Vannan blacked out only steps away from his tied up sister.
He would awake hours later into an empty room, the pain in his chest gone. He looked around and noticed that he could again use his powers, however something was wrong they had changed once again. Vannan screamed out in rage as he searched the building. However no matter how hard he tried he couldn't find a single trace of them. It was as if they had never existed to begin with. Vannan tired and without any leads slowly walked home in the rain. It was as he entered his home he felt something was wrong with the air in there.
Slowly he moved towards where he felt the disturbance, strangely enough it was the basement. There in the center of the room in the dark was his sister passed out on the floor. Without getting a good look at her he rushed to try and take her out of the basement, but found that as he moved her, heavy thick hellish chains bound her limbs and her body to the ground. Destroying the ground he found that they just kept going deeper, it was when he tried to break the chains that he found nothing worked, not even a seele schnider. When his sister awoke she told him what happened and what these chains were, chains of hell.
Vannan listened to everything that happened without saying a word, however as he did he kept feeling the rage in his body build up. Not rage at those that did this to his sister but to himself. If he had told Baal before what he wanted for his sister, they wouldn't have gotten to her, if he had gotten backup from the Vandenreich then he could have had others there helping him. If he had just told his sister the truth then maybe she would have been careful. While the wicked doctor had cursed his sister, Vannan knew that he was the one to blame for her situation right now.
Vannan continued to serve Baal now with a new goal, Vannan knew very well that he can't break the chains of hell. After learning more about sinners he learned that eventually they will be dragged back to hell, to stop that he needs to break the chains one way or another. He knows that the Emperor won't just do that for any random person, but if it was for a general or even a high ranking captain supervisor then the possibility is high. For now to sever under Baal would be enough to curry favor.
