There is no doubt that not all nakas are made equal some nakas are definitely stronger than others. These changes proposed would be to help two of the weaker naka options that lose alot from their parent race.
Naka quincy
Current class progression.
• Quincy – A basic bow that can fire arrows equal to or less than their current Class (maximum 3) is unlocked. With time, the Form, Firing, and Power properties can be unlocked. Up to two properties can be active starting at Class 4.
• Class 7
• Quincy: Nakabakki unlock their basic bow.
• Class 6
• Quincy: Nakabakki unlock the “Form” property of their bow.
• Class 5
• Quincy: nothing
• Class 4
• All: Nakabakki can learn stepping techniques from any race at this Class.
• Quincy: Nakabakki unlock their “Power” property. Two properties may be used simultaneously.
• Class 3
• All: Nakabakki unlock Segunda Etapa of their Saisei Oni.
• Quincy: nothing
• Class 2
• Quincy: Nakabakki unlock their “Firing” property.
• Class 1
• All: If they desire, Nakabakki can give up all of their non-Akki powers, embrace their parentage, and rebirth themselves as a full Akki with Class 2 status. This can be done at any time through special ritual once Class 1 is reached
The way it stands naka Quincy lose all the regain they naturally have. They don't get acess to short bow, they can't split their arrows. They also lose either guided or exploding arrows. Also while not the intention the RAW make naka quincy unable to use their final arrow property at all. The changes below give them back some of the natural racial traits.
Proposed changes:
• Quincy – A basic bow that can fire arrows equal to or less than their current Class (maximum 2) is unlocked. With time, the Form, Firing, and Power properties can be unlocked. Up to two properties can be active starting at Class 4. Quincy cross regain is lowered by 25% per active bow property.
• Class 7
• Quincy: Nakabakki unlock their basic bow.
• Class 6
• Quincy: Nakabakki unlock the “Form” property of their bow.
• Class 5 (900 CTP, 50 SP gained = 350 total SP without training)
• Quincy gain acess to the short bow. Unlike normal short bow costs are not halved, however a Quincy can still increase the speed of an arrow by spending an extra 50 reiatsu, just like a normal short bow.The ability to multiply arrows by splitting them in mid-air is unlocked for an additional half-cost of Reiatsu from what it costs to fire them.
• Class 4
• All: Nakabakki can learn stepping techniques from any race at this Class.
• Quincy: Nakabakki unlock their “Power” property. Two properties may be used simultaneously. Quincy also gain a Quincy cross that draws in 75 reiatsu every other post.
• Class 3
• Quincy: Quincy cross now draws in 150 every other post.
• Class 2
• Quincy: Nakabakki unlock their “Firing” property. Quincy cross now draws in 300 a post
• Class 1 (14,000 CTP, no new SP gained)
• All: If they desire, Nakabakki can give up all of their non-Akki powers, embrace their parentage, and rebirth themselves as a full Akki with Class 2 status. This can be done at any time through special ritual once Class 1 is reached.
• Quincy: Quincy cross draws in 600 reiatsu a post.
These changes add back in short bow in a weaker form, give them less reiatsu regain than a natural Quincy and allow for splitting of arrows. While it isn't everything that a regular Quincy would have its enough to make them more viable as a naka option.
Beastclan honestly would be fine with only three minor changes
Current
• Beast-Clansman – Starts with one Class 6 Yaseishin technique with a three-post duration, and gains advancements based on the Beast-Clansman rules at set Classes
Beast clan get 4 upgrades to their Yaseishin ending at Class 2
Proposed changes
• Beast-Clansman – Starts with two Class 6 Yaseishin technique with a three-post duration, and gains advancements based on the Beast-Clansman rules at set Classes. Beast clan can learn hakuda and hoho up to class 3.
At Class one beast clan gain one final upgrade to Yaseishin.
Overall it makes the beast-clan Yaseishin a bit stronger, as it is the most expensive release with the lowest payout. While it could potentially get to class 1 it still is the most expensive release for 3 posts. It gives clarification if they can learn and use hakuda and hoho.
Clarification needs to be brought to Beast-Clansman Yaseishin for Nakabakki to state if it scales in cost as well.
