This is just a general social thread for members of Squad 7. Up to 4 participants are allowed maximum, but only people that are in Squad 7. This takes place within the rich and middle class districts of Rukongai. Every here and there, a mission might pop up.
The empress like shinigami said with a grin. She pulled out her fan and started to fan herself. She looked at the man before her. He asked her out and he wasn't..well, to put it nicely, he definitely was NOT her type. He was..nice but what about the vice captain, Rin Minamimoto? Of course not! Unless it's her taichou or squad members, Rin was never the nice girl.. She quickly closed her fan and gave the man in front of her a menacing look. "But..you shouldn't be. Goodbye." She opened her fan and walked off. She didn't even care about the fact that he was crying. Ne, What's with these third rate losers?..Where's the rest of the squad?" she asked herself with a pout glued on her face.
You'd think that by wandering around the rich districts of Rukongai you'd see a cute guy but man oh man was Rin wrong. You'd also think that the sword or the outfit would scare people off..but she was wrong about that too. She was just hoping for someone she knew to pop up. Hopefully the Taichou, she had a new bandana for him. A bright red one. That man was ALWAYS wearing black and quite frankly, she found it annoying. Was there anyone around?

Several lumping, bumping, and crashing noises occurred inside of a bar. Rin would hear it pretty easily. Of course, she'd be able to recognize what had happened. Enma himself, since he needed her to communicate with the Squad, had trained her to be immune to the ability that he usually employed when getting around. But, he hadn't taught anyone else the secret, and so they were not even close to immune, unless their reiatsu strength was within proper closeness to his. But, there were no high level Shinigami present in the bar in question, and no one with similar reiatsu level either. Therefore, everyone inside of the bar that Enma had entered had fallen asleep within his presence. Enma was nearby, of course. The bar was pretty easy to find too. If Rin entered the bar, she'd see Enma within. He was eating a strawberry sundae. He had some weird ability that allowed him to eat without removing his bandanna.
Actually, it could be assumed that he used an illusion to do so. Or, he really could be eating with an invisible power. At any rate, Enma was bringing spoon fulls of strawberry sundae towards his mouth, and the pink frost on the spoon was vanishing in a split second, leaving the spoon clean. Enma was doing this with small shovels of strawberry sundae, devouring the whole thing. He didn't really like sweets, but this one was one treat that he did think was pretty good. So, while eating it, Enma was slightly enjoying himself. Of course, if Rin entered the bar, she'd see that EVERYONE besides Enma, who was sitting at the bar, had fallen asleep. They were strewn all over the place. On their faces, on their backs, etc. Everyone was snoring. He'd already left payment for the item on the counter. He was a sneaky guy when it came to this kind of thing. Besides Rin, anyone that dared try to enter would fall asleep instantly, before even seeing what was inside.
The story you are about to read is true. The setting has been changed to make it more interesting.
This is the city: Rukongai. My name's Brock. I'm a cop.
Manabu was on patrol in Rukongai. It was a standard patrol. Not too much happened in this part of Rukongai. This was the middle and upper class part of town. Most crime in these parts was white collar. Yes, a Shinigami's job was none too taxing in these parts. Manabu spent most of his time flashing smiles and helping people carry things. He'd gotten cats out of trees and balls off of roofs. He was glad to do it too. After all, that was his job: make Soul Society a good place to be.
He was walking down the street when he spotted a familiar figure. There she was: a young looking, dark haired vixen standing about 5 1/2 feet. She was a drink of water all right. She was a whole pitcher at least. However, Manabu Brock wasn't the womanizing sort, not to mention he had a main squeeze of his own. This was no ordinary lady. This was his superior officer, Vice Captain of the 7th Division, his division, Rin Minamimoto. He began to walk over when he noticed the unmistakable reiatsu of the strongest Captain in the Gotei 13 (except for the Captain Commander). He stopped short. He didn't want to risk getting closer. He bowed right there and shouted.
"Oi, Minamimoto-fukutaicho! Do you come with orders?!"

Well, well, well there was someone. Manabu Brock. "Oi, Minamimoto-fukutaicho! Do you come with orders?!" Nice kid but..was he scared of her? He really shouldn't be. He was part of Squad 7 after all! She was always friendly with her squad members. Rin gave a small smile. "Hello Brock. You wouldn't happen to know where E-"
Just then, mid sentence, she heard a bunch of crashing noises. That noise could only mean one thing of course. It meant that everyone had fallen asleep. Of course it didn't affect her, she was immune to it because he trained her that way. It was quite funny really. Oh well, at least she found him! "Ah, nevermind. I found him. I have no other orders. Ne, It would be in your best interest to not go in there," she pointed at the bar, "You might fall asleep too." she said with a sheepish grin. "Do keep up the good work." she said as she left. She began heading towards the bar.
Once she entered, she looked around. Some people were drooling, some were snoring. She could only shake her head at the sight of the bar. Then she'd find her taichou. "Hello, taichou! Ne, How are you!" she said pulling up a seat next to him. She then proceeded to pull out the bright red bandana. "Ne, taichou! I think you should wear this bandana. she said holding the red bandana up in front of him.

Enma finished his sundae around that time, looking up to see Rin. He stood. Oh, wow. He was tall. Towering above Rin basically. Enma took a few steps away, beginning to walk from Rin. "You're needed in District #27, West. It's a rather rich district, and there's a minor terrorism threat from a dumpling shop owner. His shop is known as Beef, Pork, Gold. Go there with that officer you encountered a few seconds ago and take him out. Report to me when you're done." What? He wasn't even going to respond to the red bandanna? Well, he usually did respond to it somehow, in some way. So, how was he going to do it? Was he going to shrug her off? Was he going to find some way, some excuse, to just ignore the bandanna completely?
Instead of doing any of those things, Enma reached into the folds of his haori, searching for something. "As to the bandanna, Rin, I feel this would be more suiting." He pulled out a white, stuffed bunny. He knew how much Rin despised bunnies, and feared them. She always yelled "DIE HASEN!" and screamed when they were around. It was likely that she had some kind of strange, unheard of phobia. Some bunnies had rabies, but generally they just thumped on people's feet or hands if they got pissed. They didn't bite even when they had rabies. So, honestly, it was a bit of an exaggeration for Rin to be so afraid of them.

To Rin's advice Manabu replied, "I know! That's why I'm staying over here!" Manabu turned around to continue his patrol. A few moments later he heard a scream and immediately ran back towards it. That's when he saw the Vice Captain running out of the bar. He must have taken out that rabbit again. Why do they torture each other like that? Are they in love or something?[/i]
Manabu turned around again to resume his patrol again. It was a bit unusual the the heads of the peace keeping division would cause so much chaos. Well, they make up for it where it counts. A ball suddenly came flying towards Manabu's head. He caught it. Some kids were playing dodge ball and somebody missed. Manabu glared at them for a second then made a silly face and started chasing them before he threw it back. They all laughed and continued playing.
Taichou...was really tall. But she was only 5'6! That's not much of a difference..is it? Then again, he was towering over her. So maybe there WAS a huge difference. Whatever! "You're needed in District #27, West. It's a rather rich district, and there's a minor terrorism threat from a dumpling shop owner. His shop is known as Beef, Pork, Gold. Go there with that officer you encountered a few seconds ago and take him out. Report to me when you're done." Rin stood up. Yes, Enma-taichou" Looks like she had work to do! "As to the bandanna, Rin, I feel this would be more suiting." She started to perk up a bit but then..her face changed into something of fear.
"Ne? D-D-D-DIE HASEN!" she ran out of the bar, screaming. It was like repellant! Oh, she swore she'd get a sparkly bandana next time. He'd hate that. Or she could just take it out on the next person she's fighting. That's always nice. Oh..Where is Brock? She looked around with a slightly panicked expression on her face. She walked up to him. Brock-san, I'm afraid we have work to do. We're needed at District #27, West. Apparently, there's a bit of a terrorism threat coming from a dumpling shop owner. He owns Beef, Pork, Gold. We have to take him out." she said, trying to remain calm. Bunnies, she hated them. Hated them with every fiber of her being..
Rin pulled out her fan and began fanning herself again. "Ne, we should make haste" she said before she took off. She began running to District #27, West in search of Beef, Pork, Gold.

Enma exhaled as Rin went out screaming. Those bandannas were so annoying. He hated bright colors. He kept telling her that bright colors were the worst. Especially bright red. It reminded him of Sonsaku's death. Sonsaku...what are you doing now? Are you a human in the human world? Or have you ceased to exist completely? Enma didn't know. He left the bar at that moment, walking out. In a single burst of speed, he was high on top of a hill. Sonsaku's body had been destroyed, and so all that he could do was make a grave without a body for her. Enma was visiting that grave, where he hoped he could simply speak to her, even if he knew there was no listening or response. It was nothing but a bunch of rocks stuck into the ground, and with a posthumous name jammed above it. "Sonsaku...it's been a long time..." Enma said.
Meanwhile, over at Beef, Pork, Gold, Rin and Manabu had arrived. The shop owner was selling dumplings, as usual. However, they'd sense it, hopefully. Some of his dumplings had unstable reiatsu in them. It was as if the reiatsu was going to...EXPLODE! Oh, crap. The instability was getting stronger and stronger. They needed to get those dumplings, and get them away as fast as possible, or at least three dozen people all around the area would die. It was a matter of doing that, and then getting back to the Shop Owner to chase after him.

Since the removal of the dumplings was of primary importance, Rin would be the one to dispose of them. She was the superior officer and the more powerful one. The lesser task of apprehending the perp would fall to Manabu. He used Shunpo to get behind the store owner and placed his tanto at the front of his neck while his left hand attached a handcuff to the owner's left hand.
"Looks like things got a little too steamy here. We're putting a lid on your operation. The only thing you'll be serving from now on is jail time. Yes, you're in hot water now." Manabu would continue to make jokes until Rin returned. He enjoyed it not only because some of them were somewhat funny, but because people getting arrested usually hate those jokes.
Reiatsu: 450/500

Eventually, she reached Beef, Pork, Gold. Once she was there, she sensed something..strange. Those dumplings..there was something funny. Oh no...Some of the dumplings had unstable reiatsu. "Ne? Minor terrorism threat?" She sighed. She even saw some people leave with some. She'd run after them and snatch them away. "Forgive me!" She ran and ran until she found a small cart in the shop and she dumped them in there. She had to work fast! She was using her senses to find all of the dumplings with unstable reiatsu and once she did, she'd dump them all into a crate and cover it. Good gracious..why did they have to be exploding dumplings...?" she asked herself with a worried expression on her face.
The vice captain would carry the crate up to the rooftop. She had an idea. There was no time to carry it off some far away place, so she'd do the next best thing! "Escape, Chimeiyōki" There it was, the little golden box with the elegant kimono signs and the black queens crown on the lid. There was white reiatsu that hovered over her. Without a second thought, she decided to have it transform into a giant slingshot. She loaded the crate into the slingshot and pulled back as far as she could. She was going to launch it into the air..where it was harmless.

A giant, bright explosion filled the sky, blue reiatsu consuming everything above. People looked up, staring. Some clapped and cheered at the fireworks, others dove for cover, screaming about not wanting to die yet. Some of the more intelligent people congratulated Rin and Manabu for completing the job. People, of course, knew of Squad 7's policies. Under Enma, Squad 7 accomplished a lot. With the exception of the Vizards, not many disturbances or threats to Seireitei, or the Soul Society really existed at all. That was good, though in all honesty it was probably better for them to be capable of taking the Vizards too. Rumors did say that Enma could kill Zouma Santeku. His official quote was a denial, saying that Zouma's abilities were far beyond his, and that if the Captain Commander couldn't do it, then Enma wasn't able to do so either. As the newly captured shop owner babbled from Manabu taking him away, people began to disperse.
Rin would have to report to Enma. She'd sense his reiatsu up on a hill a couple of kilometers away, while Manabu would be able to take the guy to a Seireitei imprisonment, and then return to duty around Rukongai. Enma, who didn't really socialize or interact with many people besides his Vice Captain, was a bit hard to get orders from. However, he was the strongest Captain. Some people probably wondered why. No one, not even fellow Captains, had ever actually seen him. Old Lightning had seen him, but that Captain Commander was dead. Kyousou Ningen had seen him, but he shared no details. Rin had seen him, but she probably was never asked about it. Enma was a solitary figure. No one, not even Kyousou or Rin, had even seen his release.

Manabu walked the store owner back to Seireitei to hand him over to some guards. They'd take him to be interrogated and so on. People looked as they walked by. It was pretty exciting to see an arrest after all.
"That's right, your kitchen is closed. I don't think you'll find the rest of the day too palatable. I must say that food is a 'rare medium' for explosives. If you cooperate, maybe they'll go easy on you. You seem like more of a "wasabe" than a full fledged criminal. Either way, it's time to stick a fork in you because you're done. It's out of the frying pan and in to the quire-y. I wouldn't expect to be home for hollandaise either. You'll be under lox and key for a while. Your goose is cooked, pal."
So it went for what seemed to the store owner like hours. Once he finally handed off the perp, Manabu went back to Rukongai to report to Rin before going back on patrol.
People clapped and cheered and all Rin would do is sigh and take out her fan. She'd walk to the edge of the building and wave to the citizens below. From a distance, she'd see Brock walking the handcuffed store owner off to Seireitei. Just to be on the safe side, she'd check with him first. Eventually, she found him wandering Rukongai. "Ne, Brock-san. Did you take the store owner in?" she asked. Quite frankly, she was hoping to knock the crazy old coot out but..it seems as though none of the was going to happen.
