"Alright, first test." Kitai says. He is seated in a metallic chair, gunmetal grey polished to a shine. In front of him is his clone, dressed in a similar fashion to the original. Unlike the original, however, the clone was wearing a black glove that was covered in brilliant jewels, with the largest one being in the palm of the hand. They were standing in the center of a medically white room, with an observation room to the side, separated only by a large, tinted bay window. It was Kitai's custom made experimentation chamber, one that was rarely this full.
"Are you sure about this?" The clone questioned, knowing the answer, but feeling compelled to ask regardless. The original nodded firmly. "I've got to figure out how this Lifeforce energy works. If it functions how I imagine, the possible uses and inventions are endless! It's an entire second resource at our fingertips! Not to mention self sustaining lifeforms with the SOUL!" The Saika looked positively giddy at the prospect. A whole new realm of options when it came to the creation of items opened up for him with just this item alone. He wasn't going to let the risk of death stop him.
With a sigh, the doppelganger stepped forward, and placed the gloved hand on his shoulder, and squeezed. The effect was immediate. Kitai flinched at the feeling of being drained of something that wasn't his reiatsu. The Lunatic was well aware of what it felt to lose reiatsu, be it in large or small quantities, and he could tell very well that this was something else entirely. Neither of the two were very good with Energy Sensory, having lost the ability to sense past their own massive pools of reiatsu a long time ago. Thankfully, technology could compensate for that deficiency.
It took a while, a good long while, but after nearly eighteen minutes, a beep echoed through the room. The clone yanked his hand away from his creator, who looked much different from when this experiment started. He looked paler than usual, if such a thing was even possible, and his smile had slipped off his face. He looked like a man who had run a marathon, and was practically melting into his seat. Careful not to touch him again with the SOUL, the clone helped him sit up. "So; as bad, or worse than what we expected?" The doppelganger asked, genuinely curious at the experience.
The real Kitai panted for a few seconds, before wheezing out a response. "Worse. Way, WAY worse." He said, exhausted from the harrowing experience. The sensation of loosing reiatsu was one thing. Reiatsu was a byproduct of the soul, something that could be easily replaced, be it through time, or techniques like Faustian Bargain. This? This was the equivalent of having your bone marrow ripped out. It was the thing that produced the user's reiatsu, it was so much more valuable than could be described. "Alright. That was a good test. Session One. We do this again in two days."
Every two days for the following two weeks, Kitai would drain his Lifeforce to nearly zero, and take a following day to recover. It was agonizing in ways that no mortal being should ever have to experience, but in the end, it was worth it. The SOUL was charged with an insane amount of Lifeforce, enough to make two Moul Souls to his liking. The various scanners that Kitai had monitoring this this item said it had roughly 125,000 units of Lifeforce stored within. He had been worried that it might be close to breaking, but thankfully it never did. "Time to see it I can't bring back some old friends."
