The many training grounds within the Silbern were vast. Beautiful stretches with white pillars decorating the arenas'. Naturally there would be numerous Quincy found training. After all they were the Vandenreich. Soldiers, but also the children, of the Emperor himself. Each one of them understood that which had the potential to foster true loyalty. Though with that loyalty came a desire to improve. To be able to defend their Majesty's realm and conquer the worlds of those unfit to share them. This is what inspired many of the Quincy to train within these grounds. Among these Quincy was a recently promoted Captain of the Vandenreich, Aia Kristal.
As arrows composed of reiatsu flew around the training grounds into targets or into the ground if they missed, Aia groaned with a little bit of annoyance. The shroud of mystery that surrounded her aside, Aia was an anomaly even among the other Quincy. Her expertise were not in bows or arrows. Ranged combat was not something that she cherished. Instead she was the type to be in the thick of combat. After all this was where she excelled. Regardless she stood at a distance and notched another of her spiritual arrows. She took aim and focused. For a moment she tried to tune out all distractions. It was just her and her target. As she let her arrow fly she waited with anticipation.
The excitement would be for naught as Aia watched the arrow, which for a moment flew true, veer to the right as it hit the edge of one of numerous targets. She scoffed, rolling her eyes. Meanwhile the other Quincy around her were hard pressed to hold back a laugh. Some of them would chuckle as one of them piped up. "Wow Aia. That was quite the nice shot. Though I am not surprised of someone of your skill within the Vandenreich." This comment certainly made Aia go silent for a moment. Something was bubbling within her as a darkness seemed to arise from her very being. If these were anyone else she would let her anger flow. The vicious thoughts that scoured her mind.
Aia sighed for a moment as she composed herself. Her voice resonated with a cheery tone. "Well. I suppose that my expertise does lie in other areas. Aia walked up to the Quincy with a rather carefree gait. The expression was one of sweetness and her pace would be relaxed yet the Quincy felt a sense of dread. One she could not explain as it seemed chilling. Frightening almost. As Aia walked closer to the nameless Quincy, she chuckled and spoke. "Tell me dear. Just what is your name and rank?" The Quincy shivered for a moment as she spoke, her voice breaking when she herself clearly tried to keep herself composed. Aia's mask was beginning to shed a part of her true self.
"M..my name is Maria Ernsberger. L..Lieutenant." Aia still had a smile on her face as began to circle around her prey. A predator eyeing her mark. "Ah. A Leutnant. Excellent. Well my dearest Maria. I am a Captain. Your direct superior. Captain Kristal will do for now though perhaps you will get the privilege to one day call me Aia." She paused for a moment as she continued to walk around her, touching her back gently. "Not just that. I adept in the art of interrogation. Renowned almost, but I can certainly improve my skills. Perhaps you would like to see firsthand how I can make another squeal?" She giggled though even this was filled with malice.
Maria backed away slowly as she gasped for a moment at the implication. The other Quincy peered at the duo as well as they were beginning to see that there was perhaps some truth to the rumors. That she work a mask. That she was deceitful, vicious and twisted. With a smirk of victory, Aia spoke. "Well then. Please continue on my dearest Maria. I will be sure to keep an eye on you." With that, Aia excused herself and proceeded to head out of the training area. There were other concerns that needed to be addressed by the Quincy. Upon leaving she could hear murmurs which admittedly made the Captain continue smirking as Maria was frozen in fear.
Aia would walk for fifteen or so minutes, taking turns as she came across the building were most of her work and enjoyment was. As usual for the Silbern it was a beautiful building composed of white marble. The architecture of the structure was reminiscent of a cathedral. Sauntering through the archway, Aia dived through numerous hallways as she saw what she was looking for. A shaded glass pane with an ominous door to the side of it. The Quincy would quickly make her way through the door as it led her into a smaller room. To most this room would likely appear reminiscent of what would be shown in a SAW film. The walls were littered with many tools.
Bonesaws, bandages and countless other tools hung on the walls as Aia scanned her eyes across each one of them. Each one of them was cleaned and in absolutely pristine condition. She chuckled a little as she pivoted on her heel to look through another pane similar to the one she came across first. Unlike the first, this was transparent and showed a darkened room. In the middle of the room was a metallic torture table. Strapped in was her exhausted victim for the night. One of her most hated individuals. A Shinigami. Having been captured in the Human World during a patrol, he was immediately brought to the Vandenreich and prepared to be interrogated. This is where Aia came in.
