Circumstances: After exiting her apartment for the day, Camila is met by a rather interesting visitor.

Today was the day! Today was the day that Cami was finally going to learn how to dance! She'd found a small studio just down the street, and the moment she did she'd signed up for lessons. The instructor seemed super nice, too! She'd easily be someone that Cami looked forward to getting along with. Not to mention she was attractive. The very first time that Camila had seen her, she was effectively awestruck. Very few people left that kind of effect on her; there were only a few that had come to mind. Namely Senshi, and-

She shook her head. She wasn't going to force herself to remember that girl if she didn't need to. Not right now, anyway. Forgetting the past and moving forward was her best option at the moment; focusing her attention to enjoying life and getting stronger, and then heading back to Soul Society in order to try to convince that poor naïve girl she cared so deeply about to leave that hellscape and join her in the Human World. During her time here, Camila was genuinely happy! She wanted to be able to share that happiness with someone else.

Namely the same someone else she'd gotten to know so well over the last few years. She smiled to herself, as she pumped her fist downward to her chest. She knew her goal, it was merely a matter of making that goal a reality. In time, she knew she'd eventually convince her, or drag her out of Soul Society on her own. She wasn't going to let that girl stay there under tyranny if she could help it; part of Camila felt like that girl had been aware of what was going on, but in truth she wasn't confident.

Had she really known what was happening? Had she not noticed how people were treated there? Surely she had, right? If not, what could she have done to convince that girl of everything that was going on? Cami sighed, getting caught up in thoughts she had no desire to. She shook her head, as she threw on her favorite leather jacket, and opened her front door. Today was a day she'd spend enjoying her time, not worrying about the uncertainty of the future to come. There'd be time for that down the line, and that time wasn't now.

[Celes Shindazu]

Today was the day. Over the past few years, Celes had aimed to prove herself to her superiors. She rose within the ranks of the Shinigami with determination and precision. Rising from some nameless Shinigami to the Third Seat of Squad 11 and then years later she became the Vice Captain of Squad 10. Though it seemed that her greatest challenge was before her. The Shinigami was in Karakura town, hoping across the roofs of all the buildings beneath her. She was on a special mission. One that had a rather unique quarry. Despite the unique situation, Celes secretly dreaded the situation. 

Her thoughts drifted to the moment that started this mission. She was in the Soul Society performing her regular training. With ferocity, she cut down the makeshift target, blowing its weapon out of its hand and causing the wood to splinter and break apart. Clearly something was on her mind. With almost perfect timing, a Shinigami suddenly appeared behind her. He was quick. Naturally, Celes already knew that he was coming. She had been given preliminary info prior to this moment about the nature of her mission.

The Shinigami who was clearly a messenger based on his movements and garments, spoke out. "Lieutenant Shindazu! You are being request immediately." His voice was somewhat shaky after he noticed the shattered wood upon the training grounds. Celes snapped back. "Can't you seem that I am busy!? Go bother someone else." The messenger simply gulped and continued. "B..bur Lieutenant. The Captain Commander himself requests your presence." This alone almost made Celes' blood freeze. The Captain Commander request her presence. She blinked and nodded at him. Together the two of them would disappear. 

Within a few minutes, Celes would be at the doors that led into the meeting room where the Captain Commander resided. This was the first time that Celes was actually meeting him. She naturally heard the rumors. That he possessed strength rivaling deities themselves. That he was one of the strongest if not the strongest that Soul Society had seen in millennia. As the doors opened, Celes moved forward and immediately knelt before the rather tall man. Upon inspection, Celes could immediately size him up to be worlds apart between himself and Celes. It wouldn't even be much of a competition.

With an aged voice, Celes would begin to hear him speak. "Ah yes. Lieutenant Shindazu. It is good to finally meet you. How are you enjoying your position of Vice Captaincy of Squad 10? You must feel great pride in having the honor to defend the Soul Society from all that would do us harm." Celes looked up in response and just nodded. She finally found the words to speak. "Of course Captain Ningen. It's been an honor to be Vice Captain of Squad 10 and an even greater honor to meet you in person." Celes looked up and smiled at him, hoping to make a rather good impression. 

Captain Ningen looked at her with unbroken sight and began to laugh. "My my. Flattery. You are clearly well-versed in respect and the chain of command. I like that. I presume that you are aware of your mission? You were brief a few days ago." Celes sighed and nodded. With a bit of hesitation she spoke. "Of course Captain Ningen. Although...will I have to kill her? Is there not another way?" The Captain Commanders' expression became stoic and his vision became even colder. "Lieutenant. You are a Vice Captain of Squad 10. You have sworn the Soul Society your undying loyalty. This must be carried out." The Vice Captain simply nodded and sighed as she rose and bowed to excuse herself. 

Back in reality, Celes came to her senses and shook her head somewhat. She needed to get try and find some other way. There needed to be another way. Camila wasn't very hard to find. Even a Gigai couldn't hide her enormous spiritual pressure. She would not be hard to find, but the real challenge would be fighting not only a former comrade, but a friend of hers. Maybe she could convince Camila to come back? Celes had to at least try. More than anything, she couldn't let rage the better of her lest...he come out. She tried not to draw attention to it and sighed as she continued her voyage. 

Finally reaching the place where Celes could feel her friends' spiritual pressure, she hid atop the roof to not draw attention to herself. The last thing she wanted was a Hollow or hell even a Quincy to give her trouble on this mission. She had to go about this with a calm mindset. This would be the only way to stop herself from pouncing upon Camila like a wolf. She needed to remember that this was her friend and no matter what, she would bring her back. 

It was then that Celes noticed someone come from the building. The familiar black hair and overall build seemed to check out. This was without a doubt Camila. Though Celes noticed that she had a jacket on. Did she have plans? Was she planning on going out to do something? The Shinigami hated to disturb her, but this needed to be done. As she stood up, she bellowed out from the top of the building. "Hey Camila. It's been a while!" 

Hoping her voice was atleast familiar, Celes would make sure to sink slowly to the ground in front of Camila. Her hand at this point was not on her Zanpakutou. She did not want to start conflict if it could be avoided. Sighing, she would speak out with a bit of joy at seeing Camila again. "I hope you are doing well. I've been looking for you." The Shinigami just gritted her teeth and continued. "Camila..you need to give up this path you're going down. You need to come back...please." Celes' voice sounded rather pleading. She did not want to have to cross blades with Camila and wanted to go down the peaceful route if she could.

"Hey Camila. It's been a while!" Of all the voices she could've heard, out of everyone from her past that could've showed up, why did it have to be her? Camila felt her heart sink as he body went cold. She wasn't ready for this. She wasn't ready for an encounter from Celes; not now, and not for a while. She needed to improve. She needed to get stronger before any of this happened. She wasn't ready. She wasn't even close to being ready. Waves upon waves of worry began to shoot through her, as a dull pain began in her head.

"Oh! Uh, hey Celes," Camila forced out, "that is sure has, haha." Camila couldn't do much else other than give the girl an awkward set of finger-guns. She tried to give the girl a playful and friendly response, but only a fool wouldn't know what she was here for. Celes was the most honorbound of the honorbound; she was here for one reason, and one reason only: for Camila's own desertion. At least, Camila was sure of this. Her thoughts were practically confimed when Celes began to speak again. "Camila... you need to give up this path you're going down. You need to come back... please."

A look of exhaustion rolled over Camila as she glanced back toward Celes. "I'm not looking to talk about this right now, Celes." She didn't want to be rude, but meant to be somewhat... assertive over the point. She glanced at her phone to check the time. "I've got about an hour before I need to be at Dance, did you want to come inside for some tea or something? Your appearance here has gone to... surprise me a bit, and I'd like to calm my nerves a bit." With that said, Camila gave the girl an awkward laugh.

If Celes decided to head inside, Camila held the door open for her. "Go on ahead and make yourself at home, Celes," she said, motioning to the living room area, "what's mine in here is yours. I'll get started on that tea." The apartment was far from very big, with only three main rooms, not including bathrooms. She didn't consider it to be cramped, but rather cozy. The living room held a two-seated couch in front of a modestly-sized television set. To the left of that room was an open kitchen, and further down was her bedroom.

Camila went to the kitchen, and opened the fridge, grabbing a water bottle. "Celes, you alright with black tea? I was planning on getting something new, but was rather sidetracked last time I went to the market." Camila remembered her time with Uli from here. If she hadn't gone on the offensive, perhaps Soul Society wouldn't've taken notice of her? Was that the reason Celes was here today, because of that event? She really had no way of knowing for certain, but it didn't hurt to ask.

As she began to heat up the water - though making sure not to let it boil - Camila decided to continue talking to Celes. "So, what brings you here? I get that you're probably here because of me, but why are you here because of me? What exactly did I do that made S.S. come after my ass?" She did what she could to keep a rather nonchalant tone of voice, as to stop the girl from thinking she was prying. "More importantly, how're you? How's that... place, been treating you as of late?"

She refrained from bad-mouthing Soul Society in front of Celes. After all, the girl was still her friend, and she had no reason to blatantly disrespect an organization she was sacrificing her life over; well, not to her face, anyway. "I get that you're here to either talk me into going back n' probably locking me away for years to come, or cutting me down, yeah?" She said this without much of a tone of voice; like she wasn't scared of either possibility. To those not expecting this, there was a chance this could come off as eerie.

As she finished up the tea, and brought over a small cup for Celes and herself, Camila gently sat down on the couch and faced wherever Celes was. "From your choice of words, and from knowing S.S, I'm guessing it's the latter. The fact that you want to bring me back peacefully says something, though; what do you want to do in this situation, Celes? Wouldn't you rather be free? Wouldn't you rather be able to make decisions for you? To not have to worry about repercussions you don't directly seek to cause from your actions? You know, fighting for yourself isn't dishonorable. Keep in mind I'm not looking to make you angry or pop a blood vessel or anything, I'm just... genuinely concerned for you Celes. Like... more than a friend would be."

Something deep in her soul told her that opening up to Celes more than she had planned on doing for a long time was the right option. Whether or not that was adrenaline due to stress, Albin, or something completely different was beside the point, but she said it anyway, completely unsure as to how the girl would take it. The moment she finished speaking, Camila turned her head away from Celes, as her face was flushed with an embarrassed red, and she had no intention of letting Celes see.

As Celes was offered to stay over for some tea, the Shinigami raised an eyebrow. Camila couldn't be that dense. To ignore the true reason why she was here. Then again, perhaps this would be the good time to make up. To not only revitalize the friendship that got split over differing loyalties, but to secure Camila and bring her back. In truth, Celes saw few other solutions. The Captain Commander himself had entrusted her with this mission. She couldn't let him down. To fail on this mission would be the forsake the Soul Society itself. That was unacceptable, but temperance stayed the blade of the Vice Captain. Perhaps there could be a peaceful way to do this. 

As she pondered, she was interrupted by Camila who wanted to know her preference for tea. "Celes, you alright with black tea? I was planning on getting something new, but was rather sidetracked last time I went to the market." The Shinigami silently nodded. She was not typically one for tea, but she could make an exception in this case. After all, the two could clear the air and truly talk this out potentially. At least, this is what Celes hoped. She wouldn't want to raise her blade against Camila even if the Soul Society pressured her into doing so. 

Slowly, Celes began to hear the water boil and sizzle in the kettle. The atmosphere between the two was tense yet silent as a pressing matter on Camila's head was voiced. "So, what brings you here? I get that you're probably here because of me, but why are you here because of me? What exactly did I do that made S.S. come after my ass?" Celes sighed as Camila asked this question. The Vice Captain had thought it to be obvious as to why she was here. It seemed that she needed to spell it out after all as Celes lowered her Zanpakutou next to her chair.

She spoke in a stoic manner. "I think the reason is obvious to both of us Camila. Your status as a defector has slowly become noticed. Despite working to the best of my ability, trying to avoid writing reports on our incident or your absence, it seems that I have failed in allowing you a peaceful transition. The Soul Society has deemed you a liability. Of course I can understand why. Quite some time has passed since you first became a Shinigami if I recall correctly. It's an irreparable security breech if you were sought out by others like the Arrancar." 

Hopefully this alone would satisfy the curiosity of Camila. She seemed to continue by showing a bit of care for Celes this time. "More importantly, how're you? How's that... place, been treating you as of late?" The Vice Captain blinked rather visibly and chuckled. "Me? I'm still doing great! Finding my voice in the Soul Society, achieving greater heights, I even got to meet the Captain Commander today. Interesting man indeed." There was a certain excitement to Celes' voice. Of course she left out her most recent achievement. Among a few Vice Captains, only a select few achieved Bankai. Celes was recently added to that list of individuals. 

It seemed as though Camila was ready to get down to business, however. She heard the rogue speak rather plainly. "I get that you're here to either talk me into going back n' probably locking me away for years to come, or cutting me down, yeah?" Naturally, Celes would give her a little head nod with the accompanying affirmation. "That is true. The Soul Society told me to cut you down although..." Celes would bend the truth a little. She could not create an even more jaded environment if she was expecting to bring Camila back. She cleared her throat and chuckled. 

"Well. I was able to convince the Captain Commander that I could talk you down. Talk to you calmly and bring you home. This way things could go back to normal.." Celes' words were riddled with deceit. In truth, she had no idea if things could really go back to the way they were. It seemed that Camila in her efforts to convert Celes had an interesting segway. Celes was no stranger to the idea that Camila may very well try to convince her to leave the Soul Society. She had already tried once before when she initially defected. It was true that honor guided her actions and betraying the Soul Society was the biggest betrayal that Celes could offer to them. 

"From your choice of words, and from knowing S.S, I'm guessing it's the latter. Celes would begin to speak in steady voice as she rested her chin on her palm. "Well what I want to do is rather clear. To avoid conflict and bring you back without much trouble. As for wanting to be free..." Celes thought about it. There was appeal to it, but was it the right thing to do. The Shinigami's resolve seemed to harden as she continued. "We've been given a unique opportunity to act as the vanguards of the Soul Cycle. Our fates could have been far worse. We could've ended up as Hollows, devouring one another to the point of gluttony." 

The Shinigami narrowed her eyes at Camila as she continued to speak. "The Soul Society has given me a home. A family. A lifelong partner. To reject that would be to reject all that I am. I cannot do that Camila. But we both know that if I leave without you today, it will just be another one to come and retrieve you. Even if you stop me, what if they send a Captain? What if they send more? There will come a point where your resistance will crumble Camila. Make it easy on yourself." Clearly, Celes' voice displayed concern as she just wanted her friend to come back with difficulties.

Though, there was a rather interesting point she'd brought up; the Arrancar. Perhaps she could potentially make a profit off of selling information? She'd hated the thought of giving away information that could've directly affected her friend's well-being, though. She couldn't bring herself to do something like that, could she?

Camila couldn't help but smile from Celes' cheerful tone. While she wasn't particularly thrilled about Celes being passionate about Soul Society, she was glad to see she was passionate to begin with. Camila tended to enjoy to see Celes in a positive mood, it helped to brighten hers even through these dark times. Though, unfortunately for her, no amount of positivity could prevent the inevitable that was soon to happen because of these two girls meeting again.

"I was able to convince the Captain Commander that I could talk you down. Talk to you calmly and bring you home. This way things could go back to normal.." This heavily surprised Camila. So much so that both of her eyebrows had been raised from the sound of that, as she sipped at her tea. Celes talked back to the Captain Commander? Sure, it wasn't something that was impossible, especially for someone as stubborn as she was, but still, just how much effort did Celes truly put in to preventing a fight between the two of them?

"We've been given a unique opportunity to act as the vanguards of the Soul Cycle. Our fates could have been far worse. We could've ended up as Hollows, devouring one another to the point of gluttony." Camila mentally rolled her eyes. In her personal belief, getting stuck with Soul Society was by far the worst fate that either of them could've ended up with. It was one that shackled her into some terrible military organization and for what? She'd come to recognize that hollows were absolutely a necessary evil. There was no way that every last hollow in existence was going to be purified. To think that was to think of madness incarnate.

"The Soul Society has given me a home. A family. A lifelong partner." Camila felt her body run cold as she heard that last statement. A lifelong partner!? Just what had happened since she left!? Her hands immediately went shaky, leaving a rather cacophonous clacking of ceramic on ceramic as her teacup hit against saucer that had been holding it. The second she realized, she set them down. She'd been too enveloped in her own mind to really listen to what else Celes had to say for the most part.

A lifelong partner. Those words ate away at her like a vulture on fresh kill. She'd missed her chance, hadn't she? As if on queue, her headache began to spike. She decided to do what she could to ignore it. Though, Celes hadn't acknowledged her words on the matter of being "more than friends", perhaps she didn't realize what she'd said? Yeah, that had to be it! There was no way that it wasn't it! Surely after sharing how she felt, Celes would decide to side with her, right?

Once Celes finished speaking, Camila quickly interjected with her own words, as if not listening to Celes' worry for her. "Celes, the reason I've been pressing you to leave is... I've fallen head over heels for you. I mean that with every fiber of my being. I just... I can't keep hiding this anymore. I want to run away from the world with you. I want you by my side, dammit, because I want to be able to look after you, I want to be able to cherish you! Please Celes, I'm begging you, let's have that happy ending!" While her words were absolutely genuine, they weren't without key traces of distress and desperation. She stared into Celes' eyes with the same look on her face like that of a child whose world had just fallen apart right in front of them, and her eyes began to water. In truth, she didn't know what to do, nor did she know if this was the right option; to just openly confess how she felt like that. She'd have to see.

It seemed that Celes' mention of a lifelong partner without context truly crippled Camila. With her astute eye, Celes was able to notice and hear the little shakes that Camila was suffering from. The little clacks and clatters of ceramic was not very difficult to pick up on. This elicited a bit of concern from Celes who had not even realized that something was stirring inside of her friend. After she finished, it seemed that Camila had something to say. Admittedly what she was about to say would forever change the way that Celes looked at her. It would change the nature of their relationship. 

"Celes, the reason I've been pressing you to leave is... I've fallen head over heels for you. I mean that with every fiber of my being. I just... I can't keep hiding this anymore. I want to run away from the world with you. I want you by my side, dammit, because I want to be able to look after you, I want to be able to cherish you! Please Celes, I'm begging you, let's have that happy ending!" Very few times in her life have others ever expressed a certain kind of love to Celes. The first time that was not familiar, was when Celes was alive. This created a few uncomfortable ripples in the Shinigami.

Though it did beg the question. Did Celes like Camila back just as she did. The answer was tricky. Celes looked at Camila more of a disciple. She loved her, but more like a sister and even then, it was more about her being a good friend and fellow Shinigami that attracted Celes. What Celes was really attracted to more than anything was the idea of being able to train someone. Not to say that there was no love in her life, but Camila was not that someone. Celes gritted her teeth. This may forever make Camila jaded, but there was no other way. She couldn't lie in a situation like this. 

The Shinigami solemnly sighed and looked into Camila's eyes. There was a melancholy to them and Celes knew that Camila would most likely see it. "Camila..I am truly flattered that you feel this way about me. In truth, I am happy because it means that we have a friendship that transcends rules and law. But what you ask...it's not possible. I don't share the same type of love. I respect you as a comrade, as a friend and even as someone that I have trained, but I..don't have the same depth of feeling." To try and comfort the most likely crushed Camila, Celes placed her hand atop her friends.

Celes smiled at Camila to do her best to try and revitalize her resolve. "But it's not too late Camila. Come back with me to the Soul Society. We both know this is the only way.." Celes' words would become somewhat cold as she delved into the other possibility. "Alternatively, you could continue your current path and we would come to blows. I stayed my hand last time, but this time I am under orders. I can't just walk away from this. We both know that. As I said before, if you strike me down, it will just be someone else to come and try to silence you. I offer you a peaceful way out of this." 

There was certainly no deception behind Celes' words now. She meant every bit of it. She could not back down now. Especially after a direct order from the Captain Commander. She did not relish the idea of fighting her friend, much less potentially killing her, but it seemed that they were at the end of the line. There was very little that could salvage the situation. Celes deep down knew this, but she persevered. She had to try and find some peaceful way out of it this. Although no matter what, Celes' hands drifted from Camila's and began to sit in her lap. She had to be ready incase the Shinigami struck out at her.

"Camila... I am truly flattered that you feel this way about me. In truth, I am happy because it means that we have a friendship that transcends rules and law. But what you ask... it's not possible. I don't share the same type of love. I respect you as a comrade, as a friend and even as someone that I have trained, but I... don't have the same depth of feeling." Of all the things that could've been said, why did it have to be this? What had she done in a past life to deserve this sort of torture from the universe?

Needless to say, Camila was completely and utterly broken by these words. As Celes spoke, Camila couldn't hold back the raw emotion that began to bombard her in waves now. Tears fell and her face immediately drooped as Celes grabbed her hands. She couldn't bring herself to look at the girl at the moment. She wasn't angry, she was just devastated. It was as though her entire world had begun to fall apart, and there was nothing she could do to piece it back together.

Then, Celes made a mistake. "But it's not too late Camila. Come back with me to the Soul Society. We both know this is the only way..." After everything that had just happened merely seconds ago, she was still on about this? Camila tensed up. "Alternatively, you could continue your current path and we would come to blows. I stayed my hand last time, but this time I am under orders. I can't just walk away from this. We both know that. As I said before, if you strike me down, it will just be someone else to come and try to silence you. I offer you a peaceful way out of this."

As Celes withdrew her hand, Camila looked back up to the girl, puffy-eyed and wiping her cheek with her thumb. "Celes," she choked out, "you do realize what effect those words had, right? You... do you know what it's like, to feel like you've lost absolutely everything? To feel like absolutely nothing seems to be going your way? To feel like even the universe itself has given up on you entirely?" With that, she stood up. "You're welcome to stay, but I need some time to myself." 

Camila stormed off into her bedroom, and proceed to slam and lock the door. The moment she did, she began pacing. Her headache was back in full-force, likely because of that damned hollow trying to take advantage of her emotions. She wasn't going to let that happen; not yet, at least. Instead, she grabbed her Zanpakuto, that had been neatly sheathed next to her bedframe, and pointed her finger against the wall, roughly in-line with where Celes had been sitting.

In her mind, she spoke out the words to a rather simple incantation, as a rather large number of golden bolts of lightning streamed through the wall in a rather wide arc; far too large for that of a simple Byakurai. This was effectively what had been a "spray and pray" attack against the girl, as Camila quickly shattered her own bedroom window, and made her way outside. She didn't want to give the shinigami time to think, nor time to retaliate.

In truth, Camila felt like she was being pushed against a wall. What could she really do in this situation? She wasn't the type to give up, nor the type to surrender. No, she'd do the exact opposite. After having felt like everything had been crumbling before her, and without any true motivation to press forward for someone anymore, she was going to fight. And gods be damned if she wasn't willing to lose her life over this. In truth, the feeling was liberating, but mortifying at the same exact time.

Technique Description and Effects: This spell is an advanced lightning-based technique, far larger than basic spells such as Byakurai, and its destructive force is increased as well. Upon release, this spell fires an enormous blast of electrical energy in a concentrated blast that devastates all before it.

How to use technique: Speak the spell and point hand towards the target.

Incantation and Effect: “Sprinkled on the bones of the beast! Sharp tower, red crystal, steel ring. Move and become the wind, stop and become the calm. The sound of warring spears fills the empty castle!” With the incantation, this spell gets a 25% increase in Reiatsu Strength (i.e. if Reiatsu Strength is 100, this is treated as 125 with incantation).

[Celes Shindazu]

As Celes withdrew her hand from her friend, the Vice Captain could already see the sorrow within her grow. With a few solemn sentences, Camila seemed to express her despair. "You do realize what effect those words had, right? You... do you know what it's like, to feel like you've lost absolutely everything? To feel like absolutely nothing seems to be going your way? To feel like even the universe itself has given up on you entirely?" Celes could not help, but blink in response. She did not mean to leave this kind of impact. After all, Camila was still her friend...right? 

As the Shinigami before her stood up, she continued with her expressions. "You're welcome to stay, but I need some time to myself." Celes couldn't help, but just nod. Perhaps she would stay. Maybe after a few hours, Celes would try to talk with her again. A minute passed. Then two. Then three. Celes was a little worried as she heard little from the room. It was then that it occurred. Massive streaks of lightning, too numerous to count began to rip through the wall. Celes did her best to mentally prepare herself and move, but she was taken by surprise. The cannon of electricity rushed past her body, little streaks of electricity ripping across her flesh and searing it. 

Thankfully, this is when Celes' athleticism came into play. After about one to two seconds of being bombarded, she used the air as almost like a footstool, using it to kick back as she grabbed her Zanpakutou on the way back. Turning in midair, she noticed the window and without much thought, barreled through it. As glass shards sprayed outward from the point of impact, Celes hit the ground, landing on her back. With a quick breath and equally as fast movement, the Shinigami was back on her feet. A quick glance at her injuries especially on her extremities showed now bleeding. Only reddened wounds that tore across her skin.

She recognized the lack of bleeding for what it was. Her skin had not healed per say. Instead, the electricity instantly cauterized the wound. While she did not have to worry about blood loss, she knew it would hurt like a bitch. Especially until later. It seemed that Camila had a softer entrance as she seemingly came through the broken window in her bedroom. Despite this though, there was a fire in Celes' eyes. Camila's actions were dishonorable. The ancient Spartans believed that a bow was the cowards' way of fighting. Celes to an extent, felt the same way about Kido, but she looked at Camila. She was going to take her apart. 

Assuming that Camila was on the ground, facing Celes, the Shinigami without much warning would make the first move outside. The ground beneath Celes' splintered as she made a sprint towards Camila. Her natural speed of 500 was most likely more than Camila was used to. As Celes' movements would blur, Celes brought her hand upon her sheath, she would focus her reiatsu into it. The reiatsu flowed through the blade as within mere moments, Celes would most likely be upon Camila. It was then that she would execute a rather devious strike.

Celes knew that Camila had a substantial spiritual pressure. She was also well aware of Cutback. Her own spiritual pressure did not hold a candle to that of others. It is this knowledge that she was hoping would elicit little reaction from Camila. Assuming that she was choosing not to dodge it or even unable to, Celes' blade would not be halted by cutback. Instead, the blade would rip across Camila's torso if she was allowed to make contact. Using a Hakuda technique, Celes would also quickly reverse the momentum of her strike, going in for a second across her stomach.

Not only did Celes strike with ruthless efficiency, but it was the nature of her blade that was most important. Assuming that her blade made contact, a thin layer of reiatsu would disperse from her blade. Celes was not trying to cut deep physically. Instead, she was trying to lash out at Camila's soul. Assuming that atleast one strike hit, Camila would immediately feel a nauseating feeling. A general sense of weakness would afflict her along with dizziness. Overall, not a great feeling. This was a strike that lashed at the very core of a being, their soul, weakening them. If both strikes connected, the feeling of sickliness would be even worsen, though this was not the end of Celes' vicious combo.

Assuming that both hits connected, Celes would utilize her natural speed once more to try and hit Camila on the chest. This was no ordinary strike either. A layer of reiatsu would shoot out from the Shinigami's hand, as Celes hoped it would reach its desired effect and protect her hand from cutback. Assuming that the hit to the torso connected, Camila may have felt herself suddenly move. The reiatsu that Celes chose to use would push her about 30 or so meters. Suddenly after the distance, her movement would stop on a dime creating an even nastier feeling of motion sickness. It seemed that Celes' still would not be done, however.

The Coup de grace of Celes' movement would be a Shunpo. Assuming that everything up to this point connected and Camila was now a good distance away from the Shinigami, Celes would utilize her speed with a Shunpo to move at an astounding speed of 2500. This was all in an attempt to finish off her chain of attacks. If Camila was still too nauseated to move or too slow to react nor move, Celes' would deliver a vicious aerial roundhouse kick to the side of her head. Using all of her strengh, if this connected, it would without a doubt concuss Camila at minimum and knock her to the side. However, if this did connect, Celes had no protection with reiatsu and would feel one of the most vicious instances of cutback in her life.

{Gigei Mikon: Kon Shikon}Technique Name: Gigei Mikon: Kon Shikon [Wild Arts: Soul Fang]

Technique Description and Effects:

“There is always someone stronger” is a saying that few take to heart, but from that understanding came a technique that would weaken those who are strong and bring them down to the user's level. The Spirit Fang literally delves into the target’s soul, rending it and weakening the foe. This is a slight alteration to standard Reiatsu, a thinned-out and distilled version that passes through and does not damage solid matter. However, when these fangs tear into a target, it is easy to tell; weakness and dizziness overcome a target on the first hit, and subsequent hits only make it worse.

This technique, on a successful hit, lowers the target’s stats by 5% of their original amount after Type changes. This 5% is recovered after two posts, or after an extended rest. This effect also stacks with itself.

How to use technique: The user surrounds the weapon or limb that they are using to strike with Reiatsu, but then allow that Reiatsu to disperse and thin out. Then they attack physically, striking at the opponent’s body, letting the Reiatsu tear through their spirit.

Drawback: This technique can only be used twice per post, successful or not. It can also be blocked by defending against the attacking weapon or limb; though the Reiatsu that is used to bite into the enemy's spirit is insubstantial, the weapon or limb is not.

Requirements: This requires a 2 in Hakuda along with a 2 in any weapon that the user chooses to make use of with this technique.

Technique Description and Effects:
With the Rhythm Beat stance, the user is put into a specific pattern and rhythm of blows that can only increase or decrease in speed, while remaining in an almost constant series of predictable motions. Different Tempo shakes up that pattern, allowing the user to tense their muscles and completely redirect the momentum of their body, provided that they were the origin of it. A punch might suddenly jerk to the side instead of being a straight blow mid-strike, or a strike might be withdrawn to avoid a slashing blade that would cut them even if it was mid-attack. This technique is stand-alone and can work without the use of the Rhythm Beat stance, but it is most effective when paired with it, allowing the user to shake up a predictable pattern while maintaining the momentum necessary for high-speed combat.

How to use technique:
Tense the muscles and redirect the momentum of one's blow, even in a completely opposite direction.

Technique Drawbacks:
The main drawback to this technique is the muscle fatigue that comes with it, varying based on the reversal of momentum. Complete reversal is obviously the most straining compared to a redirection, and the higher the speed, the higher the risk of muscle and bone damage. Repeated use of more than three times in a post even at lesser amounts of stress can also cause this damage. Requires at least a 2 in Martial Arts: Hakuda.

In truth, Camila fully anticipated her former ally to charge at her the moment she made contact with the ground. She was a very resolute soul, and there was no way she was taking to that cheap tactic well. As such, as she charged forward, Camila readied her blade for defense. She'd need to be careful around the girl before her, as she was much, much more physically-inclined than the rogue. In truth, Camila had rather severely neglected her physical prowess over the years. She'd be paying for that now.

As Celes charged and subsequently swung on Camila, she'd been able to block the first strike with her sword, but due to the strength behind the blow, her stance was quickly disrupted, leaving her open for the second strike right across her stomach, much like Celes had intended. Admittedly, she'd begun to feel disoriented almost immediately; she knew Celes wasn't nearly as spiritually-inclined as she was, so it was hard to say, but what exactly had she just been struck with?

As her stance had been disrupted, Camila was left open for the third strike against her, sending her flying back. From the feeling, and the sudden break in momentum, she'd been able to remember the technique; the same one that Hollow Wraith had used against her. After having jerked in midair due to the momentum break, and with Celes' astonishing speed being upon her almost instantaneously, there was little Camila could do. Well, that's what most would've thought.

The very moment Celes connected with her face, Camila launched her arm out at a similarly astounding speed of 2000, in order to grip tightly against Celes' own leg as she was launched by the attack. Her goal here was to use the shinigami's own physical prowess against her, and to take the girl with her as she went flying. Within seconds, she'd crashed into the side of her own apartment building, leaving noticeable damage on the outside wall of the floor right below hers.

Thanks to her own - likely overwhelming - spiritual pressure, Camila was almost certain that her attacker's leg was damaged to say the least, and in best case, broken. She'd taken the opportunity to capitalize on that momentary weakness by dragging Celes with her. After that, it was her turn to take the offensive. Forcing herself off the wall with a rather nasty bruise on the side of her head and minor ones all over the rest of her body, Camila took the opportunity to Shunpo out of the area and a fair distance away from Celes.

From there, she held her blade out in front of her. "Make them Bleed, Buveur de Sang!" After shouting, her spiritual pressure began to pour out of her in waves as her blade changed shape. She wasn't going to take shit from this girl anymore, nor was she going to give her the opportunity to follow in suit and release as well. She was going to make this girl pay for that cheap shit. All previous care she had for the girl had seemingly gone out the window. She no longer had any reason not to go all-out. She began to focus her reiatsu, as some of the offensive force of her own spiritual energy was converted into more of the overwhelming force that had come from her release.

Her head continued to pound, though not because of the attacks from Celes. Something far more sinister was slowly beginning to claw its way to the surface. Key traces of hollow reiatsu were beginning to emanate from Camila; after all, all of her powers at this point were no doubt handled by Albin. She had her own reiatsu that was much more prevalent, but to those with any sensory capabilities, it wouldn't be hard to tell that the reiatsu that had just been sent out from her release was hollow in nature.

From there, Camila launched herself toward Celes through another Shunpo, firing herself off at a speed of 2000. She held her sword high, while creating and simultaneously firing off four different lances; two from below her, and two from her left side. Her goal here was to land at least two of these, as she did what she could in order to limit Celes from being able to block as best she could. If she was going to best a physical fighter in melee range, she needed strategy on her side.

Not worrying about whether or not these hit, Camila went in with a roundhouse kick of her own, aimed for the girl's waist on the right; the opposite side of where two of her lances were aimed. Though, her concern wasn't whether or not this technique hit, as she had a rather devious trick planned with the execution of this kick that she was going to make full-use of against her shinigami opponent. Thankfully, mastering basic Hado certainly had its uses.

Having focused a good deal of reiatsu into the top part of her foot, Camila spoke the incantation in her mind as she made the kick against Celes in order to fire out a Byakurai from that location. It was a nasty trick, but not one that was impossible to pull off. Her goal here was to catch the girl off-guard with the strike, to possibly open her up for further attacks in a few moments. No doubt it'd be weaker than her normal Hado due to that damned weakening attack from Celes, but it still wasn't inherently weak.

{Sanguine Lance}
Technique Name: Sanguine Lance

Technique Description and Effects (Explain appearance, powers, and effect):

Camila focuses her reiatsu into the shape of a spike, with its length being two feet. The spike forms to the left of her, slowly taking on a thick, blood-like appearance, while not actually being made of blood. The lance then fires that same post at a speed of 800 towards a target, in a straight line. Upon impact with a solid force, the lance will implant itself, remaining within the object or person for a cost of either 100 reiatsu per post, or 1 blood counter per post. Upon contact with a person, the lance slowly siphons reiatsu from them, and replenishing Camila’s reiatsu pool in turn. The amount of reiatsu siphoned per lance is equal to 100 reiatsu per post. After two posts have passed, the lance then disintegrates, leaving behind a blood-like liquid on the ground where the lance dissolved. In addition to the normal Reiatsu cost, Camila may spend up to three Blood Counters for an additional cost. For every Blood Counter spent when using this technique, another lance forms near the original for no reiatsu cost, up to a maximum of 4 lances total. The lance made of Reiatsu has an attack power equal to her OS. Additionally, Camila can decide to siphon blood counters from a target impaled with these lances. These lances can forego any reiatsu drain, and instead siphon blood counters at a rate of 1 per post from the lance created with reiatsu, and 2 per post from lances created from blood counters.

Technique Drawbacks (Limitations, repercussions for use, etc):

Costs 150 reiatsu to use. Upon firing, the Sanguine Lance manifests in a physical form. This means it can be interacted with, and in turn, pulled out of the target, stopping the siphon (Though, in turn, if a deep enough wound is left, it can in turn be drawn upon for a Blood Counter.). The lance can only be fired in a straight line, and does not curve at all. The Reiatsu draining effect does not stack upon more than one lance being implanted in the target.

Technique Description and Effects: The user fires a concentrated, powerful lightning bolt from their finger that pierces a target.

How to use technique: Speak the spell and point hand at the target.

Incantation and Effect: "Arise god of thunder! Awake mother of storms! Unleash the lighting on the sinners!" When the incantation is spoken, the Reiatsu Strength used to determine the power of Byakurai is increased by 10%. (i.e. 100 Reiatsu Strength is treated as 110.)

[Celes Shindazu]

Despite her first attack being blocked, Celes had enough physical prowess to overcome even that. Knocking her parry aside, Celes made contact with the second strike. Then the third. And finally the fourth. In truth, it all went perfectly as Celes made contact on the side of her head with her foot. Even despite the cutback, Celes gritted her teeth and attempted to push through it. It was this pain and damage to her leg that made her close her eyes for a moment. This lack of sight meant she had little chance to react to Camila's counter. Celes suddenly felt something grip her leg as she was dragged along with her opponent. 

The burst of movement was truly incredible as Celes used a combination of Bagua and her strength in the moment to free her leg. It seemed that even despite this precaution, she was now still moving towards the building at the same speed as Camila. Unlike Camila, however, Celes' body was unnaturally durable and by bracing herself and tensing all of her muscles, the Shinigami slid along the ground and careened into the building with force, but it was largely mitigated by her tension. Her body was like iron in that moment as she got away with very superficial scrapes. 

She rose to her feet. Yet it seemed that Camila was also made of rather sturdy stuff. Despite the clear connection with her head that had the potential to jostle her brain, her opponent still stood and even found enough strength to Shunpo away. In truth, Celes admired this. It seemed that she did not have time to truly ponder or reflect though as she heard a set of words that truly made her a bit worrisome. "Make them Bleed, Buveur de Sang!" Immediately putting up her guard, the Shinigami was trying to prepare for whatever Camila threw at her. After all, she was in no release state. She wanted to conserve her energy so she could potentially make use of her Bankai. Of course, Camila had no way of knowing that she achieved it. 

Yet there was something unique about the outburst of energy. Celes knew Cami's reiatsu well. She had fought alongside her for a while and while she had never seen her release, Celes felt something in that reiatsu. Among the sea of reiatsu was the tiniest sense of a Hollow. The only reason that Celes was even able to feel it despite her weak sensory skills was because she knew the feeling of Hollow reiatsu intermingled with Shinigami reiatsu well. It was strong enough to be felt for a moment by Celes, but too faint to get a clearer picture. Celes though to herself. "Could she really be...". 

It was then that the Shinigami noticed a set of four lances form. They reminded them of her own spear and immediately Celes developed a plan. Suddenly with rather impressive speed, the lances of reiatsu made their way towards Celes. Thankfully, there was a decent bit of distance between them and Celes was rather adept with numerous weapons and their properties. Even if the weapon was a reiatsu mimicry of the original. Quickly pivoting to the side as they came close, Celes noted that they had converged on her stomach and thighs. She would take note of this movement pattern. Yet despite this, Celes quickly took hold of one of the lances and quickly pivoted it in her own hand as she herself pivoted once more. As she completed her turn with elegance and skill, the Vice Captain extended her arm and threw the lance at its sender. Even if the lance dissolved before impact or did nothing, this gave a wealth of information to Celes. 

It seemed that Camila wanted to make this a little personal though as she would disappear with a Shunpo. Suddenly she was within melee range of Celes as she made a rather similar movement to Celes. In fact, it was a copy of her aerial roundhouse. Though there were a few interesting things to note about it. Celes saw the sloppy form and it clearly didn't pack heft to it. Celes knew this as well since she was able to physically size up Camila. Plus she knew her friend and her spiritual capabilities well. So why was she fighting on Celes' turf? The Shinigami took instant note of it and saw this as an excellent opportunity to retaliate even if she was walking into a trap. 

Celes used her martial prowess to her advantage as she flexed her muscles as she mentally projected the path that her foot was taking. It was moving towards her waist. Celes flexed her muscles in that area as the foot made contact. Due to the disparity in strength, not only was there no damage, but there would be a momentary stillness in Camila's movements as it was almost as if her foot had hit a brick wall that would not yield. Celes would immediately put her own plan into action as Camila seemed to execute her. The Shinigami would suddenly grip Camila's ankle tightly. It was one of the weaker parts of the leg. 

It was then that Celes felt the sudden pain in her waist. A tingling sensation as she felt the Byakurai rip through her waist, the beam of electricity coming out the other side. Much like the other Hado used, it immediately seared the flesh and cauterized the wound, especially since it was much weaker than the Raikoho. But the damage was still there. Celes gasped in that moment, but despite the pain, she pushed onward. There would be time to treat her injuries later. Using her brute strength, Celes yanked Camila's ankle to pull her entire body towards her. It was the next move that would potentially be the most devastating. 

Celes at the moment of pulling let go of her ankle, letting natural momentum do the rest of the work. Assuming that Camila was in no position to dodge as she would be at the mercy of natural forces such as momentum and gravity, Celes would prepare one of her greatest techniques. Her muscles would be rapidly reinforced with reiatsu as the next set of movements would happen in the blink of an eye. Celes' fists began to shoot outward at a speed of 1000. Her limbs at this point would be blurring, almost appearing as though she was punching Camila with what appeared to be dozens of fists. Assuming that Camila was hit by all this, she would most likely be launched into the building she lived in, riddled in physical injuries due to Celes' relentless barrage of punches. 

Though it seemed that this was not the end. Assuming this all worked out or even if Camila created distance between the two, Celes lept onto stone fence that typically divided the streets and houses. Peering at Camila, her tone would become darker. "You have chosen a path that puts as at odds. Now it is time to put an end to this." Celes unseathed her second Zanpakutou as she knelt upon the fence. She began to speak. "Goddess Athena guide my heart. Grant me the strength, so my spear may strike true. Protect my body and guard my soul...." Celes knew that Camila had heard her release command before, but this was uniquely different. "Kishin Yunorashi." 

As Celes finished her little piece, Camila could most likely put two and two together as Celes was enveloped in a roaring beam of white light. Her opponent most likely knew that Celes used a spear and shield in her Shikai, but Celes was going a step further to use her Bankai. As the light slowly began to fade, the Shinigami had her typical spear in one hand and her shield in another. Though there was an interesting distinction. Upon Celes' body was what appeared to be a thick set of armor. Most historians would recognize it was Spartan Armor. As she rose, she stood triumphantly upon the fence. Even though Celes knew that she had not won yet, this could potentially lower the moral of Camila. 

As Celes sprang down from the pillar, she looked at Camila and added another piece. "Bankai." She was hoping that this would discourage Camila from facing her. Much like a Spartan of ancient times, Camila was about to face off with a warrior of legend. Someone who harnessed all the fury of the God Ares and yet contained the cool and collected spirit of the Goddess Athena. Her armor was a display of that latter battle strategy, opting for a more defensive approach while her spear and shield displayed the cold and harsh brutality of warfare. Celes banged her spear against her shield and and spun it around once in her hand before having her shield and shield both face Camila like a one-man phalanx.

{Gigei Mikon: Hyuku Shikon}Technique Name: Gigei Mikon: Hyaku Shikon [Wild Arts: Hundred Fangs]

Technique Description and Effects:

This technique was developed in order to increase the user's strength in hand-to-hand combat. Using this technique sends Reiatsu pooling into the muscles and joints of his arms and hands, strengthening them and increasing their resilience. By using that same Reiatsu, he sends powerful impulses to the nerves that allows his limbs to react quickly in the form of a hundred powerful punches. Each one is fired off at twice the user's current Speed stat, causing his limbs to blur as the attacks are delivered in a sudden barrage that lasts only a few seconds. Each hit’s damage is equal to the combined total of user’s base Strength and Speed after type. This causes a massive amount of damage in a short time.

How to use technique: The user focuses their Reiatsu into the arms, strengthening the muscles and bones first to prevent excessive damage from overuse of the limbs. Following that, the same Reiatsu is channeled into the nerves and causes them to fire impulses rapidly, making his limbs move quickly in the form of a hundred lightning-fast blows.

Drawback: Moving one’s limbs beyond their natural limits causes strain and damage on the muscles and bone; though Reiatsu is first channeled to prevent the worst of the damage, each use of this technique wears down the muscles and causes them to throb heavily after only one use. Two uses within five posts causes the muscles to begin tearing, and small fractures along the bone. Three uses within five posts will completely tear several muscles while cracking the bones, and any additional uses within that initial five posts will render the user's arms useless without proper healing. This technique can only safely be used eight times within a thread without healing.

Requirements: This requires a 2 in Hakuda to perform.

Camila couldn't really do much else other than take the absolutely destructive attack head-on. As each strike was launched into her, serious injuries were likely being maintained, as the poor shinigami was eventually thrown straight into a wall, with what would've been rather noticeable bruising all over the place if it wasn't for her clothes obscuring each one that would've been left. Upon crashing straight into the building, and through her own apartment, Camila slowly began to stand up.

Her own reiatsu coated over her, as her wounds were quickly patched up. Due to the amount of dust and debris currently flying through the air at the moment, her own view of Celes was rather obscured; thankfully, this meant the same was also likely true. Knowing such, Camila smirked as she prepared another four lances, all headed straight for Celes' location. Having dissolved the last one thrown at her mid-flight, she'd prepared to do the same if need be. Though, truth be told, these lances would be different.

Instead of firing with a target in mind, these ones would be launched sporadically in Celes' general direction, and even at different times. First one fired, then another, and then the last two simultaneously. She grinded her teeth as she hoped to gain a burst of energy from these lances. As she stepped out of the rubble and returned to the ground, she saw Celes before her holding some sort of pose. Her eyes widened when she realized what was going on.

The girl before her was full-clad in some suit of armor. Well, this was new. Was it some kind of new technique? She couldn't help but smile; things were certainly starting to get interesting. Even more so as Celes uttered those words Camila fully expected to hear; "Bankai." While it was certainly surprising to hear that she'd attained Bankai in such a short amount of time, she couldn't say she didn't expect it to happen. Celes was exceptionally strong. It was bound to happen at some point.

Truth be told, she had a trick up her sleeve of her own. She didn't want to count on it, but she knew that Albin would show up if she truly needed to call upon his assistance. Before she did that, though, she'd have to take the time to herself and think; was she really okay with the potential of Celes ending up nothing more than a red stain on the pavement if she did that? She remembered what happened against Beast when Albin had taken over; she was exceptionally stronger thanks to his help. What would that mean for her opponent?

From there, Camila prepped another amount of lances; this time, six of them. Each one of them hovered around her, as she made use of a shunpo to get herself in range of Celes. She threw herself just off to Celes' right and behind her, and fired off three of the lances that had surrounded her aimed down the girl's back. From there, she turned around, and through the use of a shunpo once again, launched herself near her old position, and fired off the remaining three lances.

Her goal here was to trip the girl up to the best of her ability. To catch her off guard, and to overwhelm her to the best of her ability. The more lances that landed in Celes, the better; she'd known full well that the girl had no real grasp on Kido whatsoever. It was reasonable to assume that she'd never put too much time onto reiatsu training, and she'd be damned if she wasn't going to bleed the shinigami dry, whether it was of her reiatsu, or her own vitality.

{Vampiric Healing}
Technique Name: Vampiric Healing

Technique Description and Effects (Explain appearance, powers, and effect):

By taking three seconds to activate this technique, Camila can spend 200 Reiatsu in order to sacrifice all of her current Blood Counters. By an amount of Blood Counters selected by Camila based on the chart below, an effect is activated based on the amount Sacrificed. This technique can be used on allies by adding an additional two Blood Counters as a cost; alternatively, if the cost is only Blood Counters, then the cost is doubled instead.

1-5 Blood Counters: Camila feels refreshed, giving her a small stamina boost. This is enough of a stamina boost to bypass the stamina drain for this technique. This also closes miniscule wounds, and fixes any small bruising. Wounds that are larger than an inch in length are not fixed.

6-10 Blood Counters: Camila is granted the benefits from sacrificing 1-5 Blood Counters. On top of that, larger wounds are healed, and all bruising is fixed. Wounds that are larger than 5 inches in length are not healed.

11-15 Blood Counters: Camila is granted the benefits of sacrificing 1-10 Blood Counters. On top of that, she's able to repair a fair amount of potentially lethal wounds. All cuts and bruises are healed, and Camila can restore small parts of her limbs (She can restore a lost hand or foot, but not the entire arm or leg).

16-19 Blood Counters: Camila is granted the benefits of sacrificing 1-15 Blood Counters. On top of that, she can restore damage to entire limbs, though only one limb can be healed per use at a time. She also gains 2 points in Poison Resist, but loses them after 1 post. These points are treated as though she had them since the beginning of the encounter, in terms of resisting poison-based effects.

20 Blood Counters: Camila is granted the benefits of sacrificing 1-19 Blood Counters. On top of that, she can restore organ damage. This is limited to organs that will not almost immediately kill her if damaged. If her heart or brain were to take severe hits, these cannot be restored. Though, intestines, lungs, etc. can be restored no problem.

Technique Drawbacks (Limitations, repercussions for use, etc)

This technique is used to heal wounds. It is not meant to restore stamina. It only helps to prevent limbs from being useless through breaks, or to prevent blood loss. Camila will still tire normally. This technique requires at least 1 Blood Counter to activate, and cannot be activated with any less than 1 Blood Counter. Camila must remain stationary during the three seconds this technique requires to activate. If she is hit out of this channeling effect, all Reiatsu and Blood counters spent for activation will not be refunded.

[Celes Shindazu]

After using one of her most lethal techniques, Celes watched as Camila as for a few moments struck by a hundred or so strikes. Flowing out at her with lightning speed, Camila was barraged with a relentless set of strikes that was sure to cause some kind of internal damage. Atleast, that's what Celes supposed. She was not sure of Camila's abilities as this was the first time she was fighting Camila in her released state. In truth, this battle despite its difficulty was thrilling. Celes' lust for battle was slowly being satiated by Camila. Though she needed to keep enough reserves for one last technique if it came down to it.

As Celes finished her barrage, a cloud of dust, smoke and other debris was kicked up. It blocked the sight of both Camila and Celes. Any competent fighter would likely use the smokescreen to their advantage. This is what Celes was counting on. She sharpened her instincts and made sure to remain focused on the smokescreen. Celes was either expecting those lances again or a Kido. It seems her battle instincts were on point as through the smoke, a lance suddenly emerged. With a quick movement to the side, the first would miss. She definitely needed to watch out for those.

In truth, Celes didn't know that Camila could stagger the launching of the lances. Additionally, she was not aware of the amount of lances that Camila could form at a given time. It was this change in cadence that caught Celes off guard. It was then that another one of her lances rocketed towards Celes. This one clearly lodged itself into Celes' arm. She gritted her teeth and growled as she noticed that her reiatsu was slowly being siphoned. Her reserves were apparently not safe from Camila's abilities that Celes now knew this. She knew that this is what she needed to watch out for. 

The next two lances that Camila fired while still just as quick, Celes just decided to cut out the middleman. She leapt up on the fence behind her when the lances which were aimed at her position just hit the fence and pierced them. Quickly looking behind her, Celes took note that the lances had the ability to do so. It seems that Camila was more dangerous than Celes first through. She breathed out quietly as she released her Bankai. Now standing before Camila clad in her armor and armed with a spear and shield, the Shinigami knew that she couldn't hold out that much longer. 

It seemed that not even the display of her Bankai was enough to cause Camila to waver. Once again, Celes recognized Camila's incredible resolve. She recognized that she may actually lose this encounter and be unable to bring Camila back. Then again, Celes was not sure if she could bring herself to kill Camila. Could the same be said for Camila? Would she really choose to hold herself back and not kill Celes? The Vice Captain was not sure. She guessed that she just had to test her luck then. 

The light that erupted thankfully caused the smoke to clear and Celes was finally able to see Camila again as the two looked at one another. Celes was sure that Camila appreciated the energy that she drained from her. Despite the dire circumstances, something about this situation was exhilarating. It took her back to the old times when she and Camila trained in the Squad 11 Training Grounds. Camila had truly grown in that time. Though it was too late for regrets. Celes had a job to do and she was damned if she could not achieve her goal. 

Celes began to take note of Camila who had been manifesting yet another set of lances. Though there was something unique about these. There were circling around Camila. And as Celes' eyes focused on them, she took note of five...no six lances surrounding her. With a sudden movement, Camila would dissapear and the Shunpo that she utilized left her right beside Celes. The Vice Captain made her best attempt to react given the sound and expectation that Camila was trying to bring this to melee. It was then that her set of spears were moving towards her back. Immediately reacting, Celes quickly made a zig-zag motion to avoid these spears. There linear movement were simple to exploit if she paid attention. 

After these set of spears were launched, Celes heard yet another Shunpo as Camila returned to her prior position. It seemed that her opponent once again launched another set of spears. She wanted to use this to her advantage. She needed to close the distance and Celes decided to make her move now. The lances suddenly jolted towards Celes. She once again used her zig zag motion to dodge the other set of lances. It seemed that closing the distance made it rather difficult as Celes raised her shield in between one of her zags. The lance suddenly barreled against her shield. It seems that the force of the lance exceeded the defensive durability of the shield as the head pierced her shield, but stopped short from piercing Celes herself. The Vice Captain would not let this stop her. 

With her impressive speed, Celes made sure to close the distance quickly, but her next movement was something that Camila had never seen her do before. Her next step would stomp against the ground with incredible force. In fact, it should splinter the ground with such force that as it cracked, Camila would most likely lose her footing. Assuming that she did, Celes was going to implement her plan. She just needed one touch. In that short moment of unbalance, Celes would leap forward and try to deliver a swift punch. This punch, however was much different. For one, Celes did not even flinch. Additionally, it appeared to be so much weaker. If it connected, Celes' plan would come into effect. 

If she made contact, Camila would suddenly feel something unique. Infernal chains would threaten to wrap around Camila. At this point it would have been the beginning of the end. These infernal chains were not only threatening to restrain Camila, but they would constrict her very hope. Her drive to fight. Additionally, if she was ensnared by these chains, Celes would grin as if Camila even tried to utilize her reiatsu, she would find it hindered. Not only could she not use reiatsu in this situation, but she would have to struggle for moments against these chains. If Celes was successful, she would smirk down at her opponent. 

She would take the time to pull both lances from her wounds. The one lance that dug into her shoulder and the other that penetrated her shield. Celes was not sure how long they would remain, but she rather get rid of them now and prevent Camila from being able to utilize more of her energy drain. Assuming that Camila was now restrained by these chains and presumably struggled against them, Celes would smile a little. It seemed that not even her warrior pride could endure the stoic requirement that the nature of her position demanded of her in this instance. 

Celes would take this time to break the silence and sigh. If Camila was bound, there was almost nothing she could do, but listen. "You've truly grown Camila. I'm not even sure if my Bankai will be enough to take you down. I am proud of you. Although.." Celes would quickly place her hand onto Camila's cheek. With a rather brutal slam, she would use her monstrous strength to slame her opponent's face into the concrete. Assuming that she was now on the ground, Celes sighed. She hated kicking someone while they were down, but she had to. Celes would pull Camila by her hair and push her against the building to prop her up. With another punch, she would try to connect with the restrain Camila. "Don't think for a second that I will give you an easy time!"

{Bound By Chains}Technique Name: Bound by Chains

Technique Description and Effects: Bound by Chains represents the aftermath of war. The anguish that follows in every opponent once they lose their will to fight and are quite literally bound by chains. To use this technique Celes needs to make contact with her opponent. This can be with her release weapon or Celes physically touching her opponent, just as long as there is some contact between herself and her opponent. Once this occurs, Celes spends a portion of her own strength to manifest chains on the opponents' body. The ratio is 1:5 to determine the durability of these chains. If Celes spends 100 strength to manifest these chains have a durability of 500. The chains upon creation spread around the victims entire body and leave them helpless and at the mercy of the user. These chains also respond to resistance. The chains punish those that refuse to submit. If force is applied to the chains that does not outright break then, the chains tighten and the victim suffers a loss of breath that becomes worse as more resistance is given. The durability of the chains can only be increased to a max of 1.5x Celes OS. If Celes has a Strength of 1000, she can only make the chains have a maximum durability of 1500 and it requires her to give up 300 strength which effectively temporarily sets her Strength to 700.


1 - 4 Marks of War - Spending 1 to 4 Marks of War allows Celes to substitute part of the strength she would be sacrificing into the chains. Each Mark of War spent increased the OS of the chains by 25% of Celes' OS. For example, if Celes spends 3 marks and has 1000 strength, the OS of the chains would be 750. Celes can donate her own strength just like normally to increase the remaining OS to a maximum of 1.5x her OS.

5 Marks of War - Spending 5 Marks of War does not allow Celes to substitute her strength sealing with Marks, but instead performs something much more sinister. The chains are intended to cause its victim to lose hope and any chance of escape. If this property is invoked by spending 5 Marks, the victim becomes incapable of using reiatsu while they are bound. Much like Kurapika in Hunter x Hunter with his chain prison which enforces Zetsu, Celes' Bound in Chains will prevent the usage of reiatsu for as long as the victim is bound. To clarify, if the OS of the victim is RS or SpPr, they can still break the chains if it exceeds the OS of the chains. The inability to use reiatsu is intended to stop the victim from using techniques to "phase" or otherwise easily escape from the chains if they do not meet the appropriate OS requirement.

Siphoning reiatsu through Celes was a rather great feeling for Camila. For one, with her constantly working to drain her own reserves, being able to keep her lances active for just that much longer really made a difference. Especially when the end results of this fight were possibly drawing nearer. As she felt revitalized ever so slightly, Camila smiled after her last set of lances had been launched. Even just one hitting was helpful for her. All she needed was just a few more to connect, and then that'd be that.

She began to brace herself as Celes quickly approached, somewhat thrown off by the girl's sudden stopping to damage the ground of all things. The moment the ground began to splinter and crack, Camila started to speak an incantation in her head. Though she was thrown off balance causing her physical defense to be significantly hindered for the time being, Camila was more than ready to challenge the girl with a counterattack instead. She held her hand in front of her, aimed toward the girl's gut, right at point blank range a mere second before Celes' fist connected with Cami.

From her hands, not one but two large pale-blue balls of explosive fire were launched toward the girl, and in turn Camila as well; due to the sheer size of the blast, both girls were likely to take the full force of the twin explosions.  While she wasn't able to keep track of Celes, the sheer force of the explosion sent Camila reeling and rolling along the concrete. She'd managed to save herself from a potentially dangerous hit; one she fully expected to be bad from the fact that Celes wasn't using her Zanpakuto.

Absolutely riddled with burns, Camila did what she could to force herself upright. Taking a second to heal some of the more minor burns, Camila focused her reiatsu around herself as while she was in rather intense amounts of pain at the moment, she figured she could still fight, if not for just a little while longer. It was certainly hard to move, but she needed to continue. She needed to press forward, and couldn't afford to lose the conflict at hand. She'd do anything to make sure she didn't get dragged back into Soul Society.

As she stood up, her headache had reached its worst point thus far. It wouldn't be long now before that happened. In truth, she was scared. She didn't want anything serious to happen to Celes, but with every passing second, that was getting harder and harder to prevent. As Celes continued to go all out, and as she did what she could in order to try to end the fight, things were only growing worse on Camila. She winced in pain as her burns were beginning to flare.

"You've truly grown Camila. I'm not even sure if my Bankai will be enough to take you down. I am proud of you. Although... Don't think for a second that I will give you an easy time!" Hearing Celes speak those words not only motivated Camila to keep fighting; to keep pressing forward, but instilled an amount of fear into her. Not necessarily fear over what Celes was going to do; no, the two of them were quite evenly matched at the core of things, but more the fear of what would happen if Celes pushed her too far.

"Celes," Camila forced out, her breathing heavy and her body covered in bloodied burns, "I don't want this to go this way. Please, I'm begging you; stand. Down. We can talk this out sometime later, I just..." She once again winced in pain, "I can't stand to let this continue. I'm not backing down. I can't. I'm asking that you make the right choice here and let us go our separate ways." Not two seconds after she finished speaking, Camila let out a shout of pain as she used her free hand to grip at her forehead.

Technique Name: Hado #73: Sōren Sōkatsui (Twin Lotus Blue Fire, Crash Down)

Technique Type: Kido

Technique Element: Fire

Technique Description and Effects: This spell is, in all practicality, a doubled version of Hado #33, Sōkatsui. When released, this spell fires with the potency of not one, but two Sōkatsui orbs, creating an enormous blast of blue fire that can easily consume a target as it envelops them. Even glancing hits can cause first-degree burns with ease.

How to use technique: Speak the spell and point hand towards the target.

Incantation and Effect: “Ye lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! On the wall of blue flame, inscribe a twin lotus. In the abyss of conflagration, wait at the far heavens.” With the incantation, this spell gets a 30% increase in Reiatsu Strength (i.e. if Reiatsu Strength is 100, this is treated as 130 with incantation).

[Celes Shindazu]

As Celes cracked the ground and offset Camila's balance for that brief instant, she was rather confident that she could make contact. Even despite this, a good fighter had a contingency in mind for any situation. This would was certainly one of those situations. Celes noticed Camila raise her hands as her fist was about to come into contact. Was it another Kido? Well in that case, Celes knew that she could take chance dealing with the versatile spellcasting of Shinigami. That being said, Camila would see the Shinigami do a motion that seemed almost like a forced jerk.

Using the concept of Different Tempo once more, Celes tensed her waist. A good punch threw part of the fighters' weight and own concept of physics in the situation. Even though Celes was making the punch a lot weaker by choices, decades of training could not override her natural instincts. Camila would see as Celes' torso suddenly reversed direction and by extension, retracted her punch. Celes had performed it numerous times and as such as second nature to her. She would also simultaneously threw her direction downward, creating a bit of diagonal motion. That's how masterful Celes was with the technique. It would hurt like a bitch, but she'd be rewarded for it.

The forced redirection of movement would allow Celes to drop to a kneeling position and raise her shield. She would stand her ground using her natural defenses to withstand the attack. Yet even despite this, Celes would get injuries. The proximity of the fire that was released from Camila's hands was difficult to endure, even for Celes. Her shield did a great job as the flames that burst outward licked her shield and skidded past it. Some flames were more stubborn, however, and made it past the shield. Her armor did the rest of the grunt work, making sure to protect most of Celes' extremity. 

As some of the flames touched Celes' hand, she gritted her teeth as the searing flame almost seemed to scar her flesh immediately. She had to endure and push through. Thankfully, as the emitted flames seemed to stop, the Shinigami breathed a sigh of relief. Was it finally over? Did she endure the vicious burst of flame that left parts of her arm scarred with 1st and 2nd degree burns? It seemed so. Celes breathed slowly and lowered her shield and stood tall. She looked at Camila. It seems that in her act of desperation, Camila was now riddled with numerous burns due to the point blank range. 

Within her Bankai, Celes was a defensive monster. She sighed somewhat and walked up to her opponent who appeared as though she could barely stand. A wave of reiatsu seemed to wash over Camila which Celes saw before her very eyes. Well, not the reiatsu directly, but some of the burns on her flesh began to mend and fade away. Celes was impressed. Camila had the power of regeneration. The Shinigami laughed which may have surprised Camila. Yet another point on the list of accomplishments that Celes was impressed by. While she did not care for Kido, she could definitely see the useful application of on-demand healing. 

Although Celes would not barrage her opponent. She would let her rise as Celes walked closer with her clarification of how proud she was of Camila. It wasn't a lie. They were fighting tooth and nail to survive. It was a display of battle and courage at its finest as they both fought for their honor. Though Celes did overhear Camila. "I don't want this to go this way. Please, I'm begging you; stand. Down. We can talk this out sometime later, I just..." Celes stopped right before Camila as her opponent continued. "I can't stand to let this continue. I'm not backing down. I can't. I'm asking that you make the right choice here and let us go our separate ways."

Normally Celes would let the fight go right here, but it seemed that their fight had awakened something darker. Something menacing. Celes watched with concern as Camila gripped her head, clearly showing pain in her shout. In that split second, Celes recognized it as similar to what happened in her inner world. She also had exclaimed in pain before just like this situation when that Hollow wanted to take over. Celes was sure that she felt Hollow reiatsu before even if it was for a split second. She could not take changes. In the moments of Camila's outburst of pain, Celes would try to quickly tap her opponents forehead.

If she succeeded, the once infernal chains that Celes had originally intended on using would form around Camila. This time, Celes did not have to bulk down by as large a margin as originally planned. She chose to use some of the power that the Yunorashi granted her by committing acts of violence and brutality on the battlefield. If Camila became restrained by the chains, she would be forced into a kneeling position by the properties of the chains. They were the chains that broke the wills of even the strongest. Chains of war that not only bound the body, but bound hope itself. It was a precaution that Celes would need to take. 

Assuming this succeeded, she would jump backwards to create some distance. If Camila was indeed like Celes and harbored a hollow, the Shinigami would need to be prepared. From her distance she quickly breathed out in anticipation. It seemed that the real fight was only just now beginning. Part of her was excited, but the other part was equally terrified. Could she really take on the monster that was good enough to take on a strong opponent like Priscilla? Was Camila able to manifest such a terrible power? Only mere moments would tell. Assuming that Celes' chains had the chance to ensnare Camila, she hopped it would be enough. 

She kept her shield up and held her lance beside her as she called out at Camila. "Camila! What is going on? Are you okay?!" She did not want her distance to make her appear disingenuous. She had just enough in her reserves to use one technique that would prove to be her last stand. It would provide one final push against this evil that may inhabit Camila. Though in some ways, Celes thought back to all the prior moments that led up to Camila's leaving the Soul Society. The built-up hate and anger, the garganta. Was it all due to this thing inside of Camila? Celes would mentally prepare herself.

{Different Tempo}Technique Name: Different Tempo

Class: 5

Technique Type: Hakuda

Usable By: Shinigami, Beast-Clan, Escudo

Technique Element: None

Technique Description and Effects:
With the Rhythm Beat stance, the user is put into a specific pattern and rhythm of blows that can only increase or decrease in speed, while remaining in an almost constant series of predictable motions. Different Tempo shakes up that pattern, allowing the user to tense their muscles and completely redirect the momentum of their body, provided that they were the origin of it. A punch might suddenly jerk to the side instead of being a straight blow mid-strike, or a strike might be withdrawn to avoid a slashing blade that would cut them even if it was mid-attack. This technique is stand-alone and can work without the use of the Rhythm Beat stance, but it is most effective when paired with it, allowing the user to shake up a predictable pattern while maintaining the momentum necessary for high-speed combat.

How to use technique:
Tense the muscles and redirect the momentum of one's blow, even in a completely opposite direction.

Technique Drawbacks:
The main drawback to this technique is the muscle fatigue that comes with it, varying based on the reversal of momentum. Complete reversal is obviously the most straining compared to a redirection, and the higher the speed, the higher the risk of muscle and bone damage. Repeated use of more than three times in a post even at lesser amounts of stress can also cause this damage. Requires at least a 2 in Martial Arts: Hakuda.
