The cold Japanese night didn’t bother Abaddon as he looked out into the stary night sky taking in everything he could. While he had a telescope nearby set up to look into the night sky there was just something about seeing it with his own eyes and not relying on a tool that felt more enjoyable. His hand went carefully to grab the cup of tea he had set for himself on the table. It had been too long since he had decided to simply spend the night enjoying the endless wonder that the night sky held. While Hueco mundo had endless night their sky was baren say for the endless moon.
After taking a small sip from his cup of tea he set the cup back and picked up a modern astrology book that he had bought the week before. He had wondered how much hand changed in a thousand years from when he first looked at the night sky till this day. While the book wasn’t exactly cheap he wasn’t shy about making marks and notes in it. He had gotten it more or less to compare what he remembered to the current night sky. There were plenty of notes already jotted down next to things that he knew had changed. With a pen in hand black ink once more stained the pages of the book making another note and a final one that he would do for the night.
As he was placing the book down on the table his attention was still up to the sky watching a shooting star fall. A loud crashing sound happened right as the book was about to touch the table, his body reacted and turned causing his hand to hit into his cup of tea spilling it over the book. The source of the crashing was a car hitting a pole, it wasn’t really his place to get involved in human world matters so his attention turned back to the book that was now soaked in tea. Opening the pages his heart sank as the tea had caused the notes he took to melt and smudge the pages of the book, making it unreadable and ruined. He gave a heavy sigh as he knew that tomorrow he would have to replace it, after cleaning up the mess he went to bed.
The next morning he set off for the bookstore that he bought the astrology book from. It didn’t take him too long to find the book he had spilt tea on. While he was going to leave the smell of books was too enticing and while he was already in a book store he decided to spend some time looking around. This was a modern bookstore, not the kind he liked to normally visit, however from time to time he did find some interesting things inside. His eyes looked over the titles dismissing many things as something he didn’t want to read. That was till one caught his eye for one reason or another, his hand reached out to grab it, however his hand encountered another going towards the same book. He stopped and looked at the person before speaking in a soft and warm tone. “My apologies, it seems we both had the same idea.” His amber eyes looked down at the person as he stood clearly taller than them.
