It had been a rough week. Shizuyoko had almost felt a bit suspicious in the wake of her Captain's "Mission" and her subsequent withdraw from the operation. Truth be told she didn't know how to feel about it. Not only that but she had refused the promotion and insisted on remaining an unseated officer. And she almost wondered if this had been her punishment for the whole ordeal. Staring straight ahead as the rain pounded down, smothering sound and sight with the cascade that seemed almost intent on beating her into the ground. She had been tasked with dealing with a few problem individuals in the outter districts. After the mission against the Vandereich some time ago she had gotten deployed to the area fairly frequently, her latest mission having ended a full eight days travel to the Sereitei, and with the downpour, and no particular rush to her next assignment, she had decided to stay where she was until the rain had stopped.
Not her best of ideas.
Those nigh-baleful eyes staring out into that pouring rain, her tails lightly coiling behind her as she lowered her head and turned her attention back to the little room. It was honestly not even a house, it was some sort of trench built into the ground. A simple house built quickly, what with the hollows and the more...rowdy citizens that inhabited the area, it was not too uncommon to see one of these places dug into the ground. The wood ceiling leaked constantly, several buckets on the ground already getting close to having to be changed since the start of the deluge. Shizuyoko felt oddly....at home in this simple place. Her hair tied back into a ponytail, and a cloak mostly obscuring her onmitsukido uniform. Just some girl waiting out the rain.....
That is until she sensed that presence. The shinigami off in the distance, a presence that had been making it's way closer for some time now. She hadn't been particularly concerned. It wasn't a strong reiatsu signature, and all the more the fact that it was more meandering than beelining for her kept her at ease. She imagined, if anything, that she might soon have a guest in this little craphole she was hanging out in. A notion that didn't really bother her all that much. These constant missions had somewhat quelled the bloodlust from Daihachi, honestly she hardly heard a peep from the serpent these days. Just a little tickle of his reiatsu whenever she thought about them. Another glance outside drew a soft sigh from the woman, eyes then beginning to drift around.....until they stopped on a door. To a cellar. Strange, she hadn't seen it when she first came down here. She thought she had cleared the place in entirety. almost immediately, she found herself getting a little distracted, wondering what was down there...
