Circumstances: Though Luke and Shizuka are dating, both are trained fighters with highly competitive spirits. Shizuka, having been interested in trying to get Luke into Xcution, sets the two up for a different than usual date back to where they first met. The #1 Assassin wants to use this opportunity to see just how strong Luke is while her boyfriend wants to prove to her that she can always rely on him and his power.

The little restaurant was crapped both physically and audibly. People lined the bar like tables, sitting side by side with one another, waiting for their meals or getting the pleasure of eating what they ordered. They were all people who were either night owls or just, finally, getting off work given the various sorts of clothes scattered around the place. People in casual clothes or business suits, with good shoes or shit shoes. They all wanted one thing; something to eat. Audibly, though, it wasn’t the customers that were causing the commotion of noise but the restaurant itself.

Steam screamed in the back where the kitchen was. Pots and pans rattled as the numbered staff was trying to quickly appease the hunger of their customers and, at the same time, make something that would taste good. Cute girls dressed in serving dresses would bring the simple meals out to the hungry folks. Beef bowls, ramen, noodles, rice, soba, you name it. It was a simple little dinery, more than likely owned by a husband and wife. Restaurants were a much needed thing in Karakura, with the Japanese work culture benefiting them with how hungry the working class tended to be.

Sliding his finger across the screen of his phone Luke sat quietly at his table, with a oblivious man next to him, as he waited for his own meal to arrive. He wasn’t really paying attention to what he was looking at. It was just the usual dumb garbage you saw on Reddit. Sliding through the News subreddit, Luke was looking out for anything that stood out. “Giant monster attack” or “mysterious deaths” and shit like that. He didn’t use it to look at anything funny or gaming related, since Luke didn’t fit into either of those categories very well. ”Look up some cursed images.” Luke would suddenly hear in his head. No. They’re weird.

”But that’s why they’re funny! The what the fuck factor is what makes them great!” Jager whined as Luke closed his eyes, frustration towards his Doll building, as he put his phone down. Now for the important question. Why was Luke here? Well, just like everyone else he needed to eat too. He did most of his work at night, being the Manager of the Help and Rescue Emergency Operations department, but he didn’t do as much as he used to do. Being a Manager meant he spent a lot more time inside of UE’s HQ doing paperwork than actually doing patrols. He actually had people for that now.

He had mixed feelings about his new managerial situation. He wasn’t the type of person who liked sitting around and letting other people do his work for him. Luke had a lot of work to do now, yes, but it was all behind a desk now. Reports, write ups, handling the attacks from Spiritual threats, training his employees, it took a lot of Luke’s time. Naturally, it took up a lot of the time that Luke had. He was the man who wanted to be face first in action, but now he had to balance out the threats to let the New Hires and Senior Employees under his command do their jobs. Luke’s job was to respond to calls for help, while petty spiritual crime and Hollow attacks were no longer primarily his responsibility. Still didn’t stop him from going out from time to time.

Being a Manager was supposed to give me more freedom not take away what little I had left. Luke mentally complained as he noticed his phone buzzing, deciding to see what was up. ”You also took on more responsibilities with your new role. You do have the freedom to make your own moves without Kazura’s consent now, though.” Luke heard Windstarke calmly say as Luke put down his phone seeing how it was only a spam email. Hearing his stomach rumble Luke sighed, wishing his food would be out now. ”Yeah where’s the ramen!” Jager would suddenly say, making Luke blink. I didn’t...order ramen? Luke replied. ”Of course you did you anime fuck. What else would you have ordered?”

”Sorry about that wait. Here’s your katsu don and miso soup.”

Luke suddenly heard, drawing his attention to the serving girl delivering his food on a tray. A bowl of rice with sliced, fried, pork cutlet resting on top of it with egg on top of it. A small bowl of miso soup was also delivered as well. ”Ah, finally, thanks.” Luke said as he snapped his chopsticks. ”I’ll be back with a refill for your water, okay?” the waitress offered before leaving, leaving Luke to his meal.

That was good.. Luke thought to himself as he pushed aside the entrance banners, stepping out into the night air after hearing the restaurant staff say bye to him. Karakura, even at night, was still incredibly busy. Resting his hands in his jacket pockets, Luke felt around for his motorcycle keys as he approached where he had parked his black bike. Resting his helmet on his head, Luke started up his bike and intended to start heading back to UE. He was on his “lunch” break, after all. Stopping at an intersection due to a red light, Luke didn’t think about much as he waited for the light to turn green. But as he sat there he became keenly aware of something that stood out to him.

When the firetruck truck suddenly barreled down the roar with at least two police cars chasing at high speeds, Luke knew that tonight wasn’t going to be a normal night by any means. ”Ruh roh. Someone’s gonna get in trouuuuble.” Jager mentioned, with a entertained giggle. ”Not our problem though. Let the police force do their job, Luke.” Windstarke said calmly just before Luke suddenly revved his bikes engine. ”Oh dear..” he said just before Luke took off after the police cruisers and fire truck. Hey, what sort of hero didn’t get involved? Being a hero meant sticking your nose into business that wasn’t yours.

”Come on god damn it!” one of the fire fighters shouted in frustration as, from his position, it seemed as if the flames were completely resistant to the streams of water used to try and put them out. Adjusting his helmet to try and get the sideflaps out of his vision, the fire chief felt himself sweat from just more than the heat of the flames. The situation was bad. The fire was spreading way too quickly and way too strangely. In all his years fighting fires he had never seen anything like this. The fire was jumping from apartment to apartment, to where people were living, and was seemingly completely avoiding empty buildings or small stores. Was this terrorism? Was an arsonist at work? His attention was pulled away when one of his men suddenly shouted that flames were sprouting from another apartment complex.

”Kyaahahahahahhaaa!!” None of the fire fighters would hear the laughter. From a top one of the apartment complexes a towering part of the flames possessed some kind of shape hidden within. A giant human skull a top a serpent like spinal column. The skull seemed to smirk and sneer down at the fire fighters after its laugh. ”Try aaaalll you want with that cheap ass tap water! You won’t put out MY flames! Kekekeke. Man this is great! I’ve burned up so much garbage that I’ve become big enough to consume every single person in all these apartments! Like sardines in a can! Kyahahaha!!” the firey Hollow laughed, clearly enjoying itself.

”Now then~” it moaned, looking down as a limb of fire suddenly appeared and smashed through the doorway of one of the rooms on the top floor. Inside, a father and his children screamed in panic. ”Time to dine..” the Hollow said with glee. Without warning, however, its dinner was cancelled. Without any warning, the flames that were covering all the other buildings suddenly, somehow, vanished. No, that wasn’t quite true. The Hollow was confused and frightened. Its flame body had, somehow, been frozen entirely. ”W-what is th-this??” the Hollow screamed in fear as the black ice that was swallowing it up grew even higher towards its head.

Looking in the direction of the chilling winds that were freezing it, the Hollow noticed the bird like entity hovering in the air with its wings outstretched. ”W-what are y-” the Hollow muttered before, finally, it was entirely encased in ice. A series of cracks formed along its body before, finally, the entire body of the Hollow shattered and collapsed. The firefighters stood around, confused, unsure of what to make of the situation. They were stunned and confused. One of them even thought he saw what looked like a giant bird. ”G-get a move on! We have a job to do!” the Chief would shout to get a hold of the situation again.

”You were right. It was a Hollow.” Windstarke would say as his feet meet the roof he would land on, behind Luke. His Bount stood on the edge, arms crossed across his chest, as he stared ahead at the situation. ”Yeah. Like I said, I thought I had felt a Hollows reiatsu. I’m glad we were around.” Luke said to his Doll, turning to face it. ”Aside from some burns it didn’t seem like anybody was severely hurt either. Seems the Hollow was aiming to take its time enjoying its many meals.” yeah, that wasn’t something Luke liked the thought of. He was glad, however, he had been around to do something about it.

The moment was ruined, however, when Luke’s phone suddenly went off. He blinked. He didn’t recognize the ringtone. The song that was playing was definitely not his normal ringtone. As Luke pulled his phone from his pocket he could hear Jäger snickering in the back of his head. When Luke saw the name and number that flashed on the screen he wouldn’t be able to keep himself from smiling. ”Hey babe, what’s up?” he asked after answering the call and putting his phone to his ear. Hearing Shizuka’s voice put his happiness meter from, maybe like, sixty-three percent to a full one hundred. But, he blinked. ”You wanna meet there? No, no, it’s not a problem I’m just surprised. Yeah, sure, it shouldn’t be a problem. Yeah I’ll see you there.” he’d say, ignorant that Windstarke was just watching him with a studying gaze.

Being back here was definitely nostalgic. Wasn’t that long ago that he used to live at this place. The old club that Taka owned. After his apartment was, somehow, destroyed she had been nice enough to let the Bount live here. There had also been a time that Luke partook in the fighting ring that was here for money and to test his abilities. Entering the, seemingly abandoned, prisons underground club, Luke was greeted with some surprised expressions and harty hellos. The bartenders and staff on duty tonight all recognized him, putting saying hi to him over serving their drinks or cleaning.

Small talk aside, Luke learned a few things about what the club had been up to with him being away. Taka was busy right now handling a race that was happening at the time. The fighting ring, surprisingly, was shut down due to the ever growing repair bill. Luke was a bit surprised to hear this, since the ring brought in a good bit of money from wagers. Well, he didn’t run the clubs business. What Taka did with her club was her choice. Asking Horus, the bartender, about the fighting ring revealed that it was still functional albeit for some damage to the stadium and seats. Luke had to wonder if the liability of the audience being hurt was what lead it to being shut down. Regardless, he decided to head to the arena a bit early to wait for Shizuka.

Hmm. he murmured to himself, mentally, as he took a few nostalgic steps through the stadium. He could remember the ravenous, cheering, crowds who screamed in excitement to the violence and battle. He could remember the fights he went through here. His first fight was actually against, of all things, a damn grizzly bear. He would never forget that. Shaking his head a little bit, Luke decided to find a seat and wait for Shizuka to arrive. What she called him for was going to be interesting.

There she was in all her glory. Xcution's Number One Girl was out with a couple of girl friends at a bar. As they enjoyed her company and vice versa, she also indulged herself in a few too many drinks. Though she disliked alcohol, tonight was a special occasion because it was her one friend's bachelorette party. Actually, the entire weekend was her bachelorette party. Sipping on some vodka and cranberry juice led to her eventually not being able to feel her feet. That turned into the lack of ability to feel just about anything else and the giggly mess that was Drunk Shizuka. She was loud, silly, but very, very dumb.

"Shizuka! Oh my god. Please tell us. You know the entire story, right? You have to say it!"

"Okay but, like, obvi you have to listen to the whole thing. Like, you can't interrupt."

The challenge was made. Shizuka was asked to recite the entire history of how Fall Out Boy came to be. She knew bits and pieces and pretty much decided to make it up as she went along. She was relatively creative in this state, aside from the occasional apologetic message to friends and Luke about how she "fucked up." That was the biggest tell she had. Luke would know exactly what was going on as soon as he saw those messages, if he ever managed. The bar was fairly quiet when she began her story, so her girl friends gathered around her and she began entertaining. She knew exactly how to start the story.

"It’s summer of 2001. Joe meets Patrick and he’s like, 'Yo, I know about music.' And Patrick’s like 'Yo, I know more about music.' -- 'That’s impossible! Do you wanna start a band?' -- And Patrick’s like, '…Yeah… That’s cool.' And then he’s like 'Yo, this is a book store, it's not a music store!' And then they met at Patrick’s house. And Patrick’s wearing shorts and socks and a hat. Patrick is playin’ drums for some fuckin’ reason! And Pete’s there for some reason! They start playin’ music together. And they're like 'Oh, let’s play some fuckin’ covers from some other bands!' It was like, Green Day, and fuckin’... Misfits, and fuckin’ Ramones! Shizuka took a large sip from her drink.

"Pete said to Joe, 'Yo, we gotta change this shit up! Yo, we’ve played all these bands. Let’s play shit from Fall Out Boy.' And so Pete and Patrick are like 'Yo, that’s dope. But we need a fuckin’ drummer!' Because Patrick’s playin’ drums and he’s a singer! Patrick's like 'Yo! I got a soul voice!' And they're like 'Wait, how do you have a soul voice?' And he’s like 'Yo, watch this: YYYYYEEEEEEEEEHEEEEeeeEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAaaaAAaaaaaAH!' " She did her best singer's belting. "And they’re like 'Oh my god! That sounds like soul!' So they put it in the song and it was like 'WHERE IS YOUR BOY TONIIIIIiiiiiIIIIiiIIIIiiIIIiiiiiGHT!' ” And one more belt.

"And then they’re like, 'Yo, that's fuckin’ perfect. This is Fall Out Boy.' And they made records like, Evening Out With Your Ex-Girlfriend. Evening Out With Your Ex-Girlfriend, everybody loves it."

By now, Shizuka's friends were laughing so hard that some of them were spilling their drinks. A couple of other people circled around the blonde beauty and her expert story-telling abilities. She was like a star in the night's sky, glittering so much that she blinded everyone with her talents. Even the bar tender was giving the group free drinks just because she was being a good sport about it all. After amassing enough of a crowd, the Fullbringer took to sitting atop the bar and overlooking her small crowd. She absolutely loved it. Sober, she may think otherwise. But Drunk Shizuka was like a socializing master. At that point, she continued on.

"And Pete talked to Patrick and Joe and he was like 'Yo, what the FUCK! Yo, this is gonna be fuckin’ DOOOOOOPE!' So they made a record, and it was called: Take This To Your Grave. They made it without a drummer! And they had like three, four drummers come in. The four drummers they had come in were like: Josh Freese, Neil Peart, the dude from Toto… The fourth one was like the guy from Papa Roach or something. And they were like, 'Yo, we need Andy Hurley. Andy Hurley. Take This To Your Grave. Fuckin' record it.' And he did it, and he killed it. He was like, Bigadigadigalalululapssshhhh!" Shizuka pretended to move her hands as if she were playing drums and added sound effects. "Killing the skins! Tapping the skins! Tapping the rims! Playing the shit! Killing these bitches! Wrapping it out!"

Shizuka paused and looked at her engaged friend. Unaware that the bar doubled as a tattoo parlor for some reason, she was started and laugh-screeched "You're getting a fucking tattoo right now! What the fuck is going on?!" But then continued once again. "So they go 'We should get signed to Fueled by Ramen. 'Cause these guys know what the fuck is going on.' And they were like 'Yo, if you can make our scene any bigger than it is, which is not fuckin' hard, we will sign you guys.' Pete was like 'Yo! We got this record that’s fuckin’ dope, dude! It's called Take This To Your Grave. Hey, it's gonna be called From Under The Cork Tree, it's gonna be fuckin' huge.' "

She took another sip. "And then Patrick’s like 'I gotta keep it real, I gotta keep it artistic. These are three songs that are gonna make the album and it's called-" Shizuka paused to burp. "-This is called: Thnks fr th Mmrs, 20 Dollar Nose Bleed, and Sugar We're Goin Down.' And they made this record that was fucking dope and it fucking hit on the charts. Like: One! Two! Three! Three, two, one! Three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, teeeeeeeen! TEN TO ONE!"

The group had grown even larger. Shizuka was startled. She didn't expect anything to get like this as she told her story, but she also had no idea that she was being as loud as she had been. In fact, she was speaking so loudly that she was deafening out the music. This bar was just highly unusual. Shizuka laughed at herself and took another sip of her drink, questioning whether or not she wanted to ask the bar tender for another one. But as if he read her mind, he already had one in hand that he'd given to her. Shizuka turned around to say something about it and noticed the full glass on the counter. She picked that one up.

"From Under The Cork Tree sold like, four million records! ... Ten million records! ... Fifteen million records! And Brendon Urie had nothing to do with the entire record. And Patrick was like 'That's gooOOOOOOooooOOOOOOoOOoooOood!' Pete was like 'Yo, fuck you! I can do whatever I want!' Joe was like 'Yeah, it's cool man, whatever… I don’t give a shit.' And then Andy was like 'Eh… Cool!' And Pete was like 'Makeup is fuckin’ great for a guy. Because it makes a guy look beautiful. Which, a lot of times, a guy is not beautiful. And I wanna change that. I wanna make sure everybody thinks that guys are beautiful.' " And then she started feeling sick. She decided it would be a good idea to dump the contents of her glass on herself, starting with her head.

She was really feeling it now. The world was spinning and having anymore was probably a bad idea. Her friends asked if she was okay and if she wanted to throw up or spit anything out, to which Shizuka actually leaned back and spat behind the bar while the bar tender wasn't looking. Yeah, she was definitely being super lady-like and professional. She was the most professional person at that bar at the time. Absolutely nothing she did was weird or wrong in anyway. She swayed a bit from side to side and screeched another expletive as she laughed to herself. She was too far gone to stop now.

"Pete was like 'Oh my god, I’m so embarrassed about this dick pic!' And then I saw the dick pic, and I was like 'Eh, it's not bad.' It's not a bad dick. Let’s be real. Panic made Rolling Stone one issue before Fall Out Boy. And Fall Out Boy made the issue right after them and they were so pissed! They were like 'Yo, fuck you guys!' They were like 'Yo! Panic has the fucking cover of Rolling Stone? Yo, fuck these dudes! We're gonna fucking go miles above! We're gonna hit every fucking continent there is known to man!' But they didn’t! Because they missed a second of time. Apparently, they were like: 'Oh, shit we got every continent.' And they didn’t actually hit it. Dude, Pete was like 'What the FUCK?' Oh, you didn’t fuckin’ make the continent. It's like, fuck you!" The Xcution Rifle pretended to stroke an invisible penis during that last bit to add emphasis.

"So From Under the Cork Tree happens, we fuckin' have three, four years of awesomeness! Like people are cumming on themselves, 'cause it's so big! So Fall Out Boy was like, so Patrick’s like 'Yo, we're gonna name this record From Under The Cork Tree and From Inity-- Haha! From Infinity On High.' Pete was like 'Yo, Folie à Deux means the Theatric of Two.' Fall Out Boy was like 'Yo, we gotta take a break' meaning, Pete was like 'Yo, we gotta take a break, bro' And Patrick’s like, 'I need time for my music! Uhhh!' And Joe's like 'Yo, I need time to find the fuckin’ art dude I gotta find some fuckin’ mew-metal.' And Andy’s like 'I’m just gonna play with some fuckin' metal bands.' " Shizuka crossed her legs.

"And they were like, 'Alright, this breaks been like three years long. Two years long. Three years long. Three and a half? We gotta fuckin’ come back, man. We gotta come back strong!' " She looked at her friend. "You took my beer away, what the fuck?!"

"No, you poured it all over yourself!"

"Yeah, you poured it on yourself, girl!"

Shizuka shrugged it off. "So they go 'We gotta make this shit legit. It's gonna be fuckin' dope. It's gonna go fuckin' sky high. We're gonna make a fuckin' record that sails the skies. We're gonna call this record: Save Rock and Roll.' So they made "Alone Together", "Light 'Em Up", "Alone Together", "Phoenix." And everyone’s like 'What the fuck? You’re working with this guy who fuckin' recorded Avril Lavigne and P!nk!' " She paused again and looked down. "What the fuck is on my shirt? Did I puke on myself?"

"No, you poured beer all over yourself!"

"Oh god..."

And on she went. "Pete was like: 'Yo, we're gonna end up on the tour with Panic! At The Disco and Twenty Pilots.' " She burped again. "And that’s all. And that’s all that matters. And that is how the fucking story goes."

She was met with a larger crowd now and a round of applause. Shizuka could not possibly be more proud of herself. Not only did she manage to steal an entire group of people to stop and listen to her talk, but she actually managed to finish a story for once! No one interrupted her! No one was going to cause a problem! She was so relieved that when she went home that night, she hugged her friends goodbye, took a shower, cleaned herself up, and threw herself into her California King bed. She was going to have the best rest in the world, and she was hardly going to remember anything.

Waking up had been hard enough. She was lucky in that she didn't get much of a hangover, but Shizuka was just tired and sore. Walking helped her ease the pain a little bit, though it was still a nuisance. She only thing keeping her sane at that point was the fact that she was finally going to be able to see Luke again. He had invited her out and she quickly accepted due to the intense schedules they both possessed. It made the two of them very tired since it also meant they were traveling or out late or some combination of those options. The loved her job even though it came with some major downsides.

Entering the underground ring was enough to make her smile. This was where she'd met Luke the first time. This was where she won against him in a spar just by out-smarting him, but times have changed. He was stronger now and she could tell that even without Energy Sensory. She didn't need to know specifics to see changes in people. She could easily understand how much he'd gone through within the short time they'd known each other, and each of those experiences allowed him to become more of a man than he ever had been before. He must've been proud of himself. She knew she was proud of him.

As she stood there close to the doorway, she found Luke and gazed upon him. He was seated on his own, which meant he likely arrived much earlier than she did. That wasn't a bad thing. This was something of a home to him for such a long time, so the familiarity was likely welcoming. But she knew why she was there. She knew what he had asked of her. Shizuka briefly used a small amount of Soul Command to flicker the lights as a dramatic entry, though she knew he'd be able to tell she was there long before they ever flashed. She smiled and looked at him with a kind expression, but it gradually changed to a playful smirk.

"You've gotten stronger, Luke. Do you remember when we first fought here? You and I were pretending to be people we weren't and just had fun with it. It's not going to be like that this time. You challenged me and I accepted because I want to see just how strong you've gotten. I'm warning you now, though. I will not hold back."

It was certainly strange when you thought about it. What sort of boyfriend invites his girlfriend out for a fight? For most people the concept of fighting, actually fighting, with your significant other was something socially rejected and see as inhuman. But normies wouldn’t really be able to understand. Shizuka and Luke were far from being normal humans. It wasn’t a matter of race either. Both of these two were gifted with powers far greater than any other person in the world could have. They possessed real power. They both fought, tooth and nail, to reach the level they both were currently at. They straddled the line between life and death. Shizuka fought those that the world would be better without. Luke fought monsters to protect the weak. Both had started from nothing and had, honestly, risen to the point that they were practically gods.

Luke definitely had to keep himself from going over and giving Shizuka a kiss. Seeing her actually brought him a tremendous amount of joy and satisfaction. The assassin and hero had schedules that often kept the two apart and incredibly busy, making the times they did get to see each other short and not very often. However, even if the time they did get to spend with each other was short it was still sweet. Give each other as much attention and compassion as they possibly could before work ended up pulling them apart again. It sucked, but it seemed both were living with it.

The work both of them had were too important to, as much as it sucked to say this, give up for each other. Shizuka was the number one assassin of Xcution. Her job was to eliminate the bad people in this world. The murderers and monsters that were in positions of power, politically or spiritually, that let them run amok unopposed. Luke was the Manager of Uzaki Enterprises Help and Rescue Emergency Operations department. Or, as others called it, H.R.E.O. He was, essentially, the nine one one of UE. He risked his life nearly everyday to fight Hollows and other super powered criminals to protect the weak. Both were important to their respective organizations and did jobs that were incredibly important. It was also, honestly, ironic. A hero dating a assassin. A “good guy” dating a “bad girl”. Neither seemed to see it like that, anyways. They didn’t mix business with pleasure.

Getting to his feet when he noticed her arriving, Luke couldn’t keep himself from smiling in entertainment while watching her play with the lights to give herself a dramatic entrance. He had sensed her before he saw her. Unlike Shizuka, Luke was more than adequate with sensing energy. But he wasn’t going to ruin her fun. ”She’s too good for you.” Jäger would comment, getting a mental grumble from Luke. Hearing what she said to say, he ended up remembering when they first fought. They both had stage names given to them for the entertainment of the crowd. He was Blade and she was Kapri. Hearing what she had to say he remained quiet for a moment before smirking.

”Yeah, I’m glad you were fine with this. Ever since we first fought getting the chance to fight you again was something on my mind a lot. Well...that and other things.” He alluded with a coy smirk. ”I’m glad, though. I wouldn’t want you to hold back. I want to see just how strong the number one of Xcution is. Likewise, I won’t hold back either. I wouldn’t disrespect you like that.” Luke said as he reached down to the left of his waist. Placing his right hand onto his uchigatana’s grip, Luke immediately bent his legs a little bit to show that he was ready to go.

”You need to close the distance.” He would hear Windstarke advise. Luke already knew that. Shizuka was a long ranged fighter. Luke was a close ranged fighter. The distance between them would give Shizuka the advantage until Luke could get close. However, he wasn’t going to be stupid enough to rush in blindly. He wanted to see what Shizuka would do first. ”Ladies first, babe.”

He looked so handsome. He really did. Shizuka's heart melted when she looked at Luke because she couldn't believe someone like him existed. She was a little nervous to fight him because she had seen and heard of how strong he'd gotten lately. A sense of pride overwhelmed her as she observed her boyfriend. She'd met him when he wasn't actually much weaker than she was, but she had been able to drain his Reiatsu reserves by pushing down on him with her Gravitational Pressure. She could sense in him now that they were on equal playing fields. The main difference was simply that her position was technically higher up in her organization than his in his respective one. To her, that hardly mattered.

What he had done was successfully become a hero. He had worked hard to get to where he was and she could tell. That was one of the reasons why she liked him so much. The anxiety that began to overshadow the pride she felt was mostly due to the fact that she feared she wasn't actually going to win, but even if she lost, she didn't care. They were both going to give it their all and see who could come out on top. As she considered her options, another thought breezed through her mind. What if she won? Was there going to be a problem between the two of them? Would he be bothered by it? She assumed not, especially since he wasn't the type to be that way, but she had a mild concern.

Thinking back on it, she also knew next to nothing of his powers. She recalled how it was to fight him before and remembered that it was relatively easy to defend against his close-ranged attacks, but the problem she ran into was how close he could possibly get. She wasn't the type to enjoy hand-to-hand combat and definitely preferred being further away, but if anyone knew her the way Luke did, they'd know she did best in battles when she could keep her distance. He absolutely knew that. He'd been with her long enough to understand how she fought. That's why this was going to be difficult.

Yet something about it was also exciting! After everything they'd been through, she loved how they were able to spend time together like this. It wasn't much of a date, and she thought it was a bit strange for them to just be testing their powers on each other, but it wasn't a bad thing, either. She enjoyed this type of event. She'd had some in the past where she sparred friends and loved ones to test their abilities and see how much they'd improved. The biggest thing about this time around was mainly being able to counter Luke's moves. She was a quick study and was able to pick up on things quickly, but she wasn't sure if that would help enough. She already knew he had some upper hands in the sensory aspect.

"Oh, I love it when you call me that."

Shizuka practically purred at Luke out of genuine affection as she braced her right hand against her cheek and blushed. She wasn't lying, either. She absolutely loved being called some version of cute nickname like that. Coming out of his mouth made the word sound especially seductive, even if he didn't mean it that way. However, this meant he was trying to test her. The Fullbringer was incredibly smart, though. She had enough experience to know that he was waiting for her to give him an opening. He also knew from a mission they went on together that she was an observer. He likely wasn't going to give her the chance to do that.

With a flick of the wrist on her left hand, she used Soul Dominance to take control over his clothing. Luckily for her, she was able to see with her Soul Gauge that she had enough power to handle a feat like this. A lot of times, it was almost impossible to control something that belonged to someone else as a personal item, and she'd never be able to do anything with his powers, but she didn't need to. She had her ways. Shizuka dropped the right hand from her cheek and made a pushing motion as she forced Luke to the ground. He could get out of this, sure. But he'd have to get out of his clothes to do that. Actually, that sounded pretty good. Maybe she'd encourage it.

Shizuka dashed forward as soon as Luke hit the ground with Bringer Light. She wasn't going to activate her powers just yet because she was trying to test his ability to spar with her. She was quick on her feet, but that didn't mean he wasn't. Shizuka appeared above him with her right leg out as she allowed her body to fall into a drop kick. Assuming he wasn't able to get out of her Soul Dominance grasp, he'd feel the weight of her heeled shoe stab bluntly into his back. She didn't force it to pierce anything, so she ended up pointing her toes upward so he felt the edge of the heel more than the actual point. From there, she jumped back with her own Speed and landed just about 50 yards in front of him.

Technique Description and Effects:
This is the stepping technique for humans. It increases their speed for a single step by 10 times for 50 Reiatsu. It leaves a column of flickering light in the place where the user previously occupied. Unlike other steps, this one can be used to build speed. If used in succession, the speed and cost go up with each additional step. The second step is a 13x increase, and costs 100 Reiatsu. The third step is a 15x increase, and costs 200 Reiatsu. From there, the cost doubles with each additional step, and the speed increase goes up by 1 time. Meaning the fourth step is 16x and 400 Reiatsu, the fifth is 17x and 800 Reiatsu, etc. Though at first the column of light is visible where the user was, once the third step is reached, the column of light is no longer there. This technique does not take up a technique slot.

How to use technique: To work, this technique manipulates the soul in whatever the user is standing on, allowing for feats such as high jumping, or the step which increases speed.

The only warning he got was the quick flick of her slender wrist and the mental flash of reiatsu. However, what Luke wasn’t expecting was just how much range her ability had. Because as he prepared to move, as he expected an attack to be incoming, Luke was suddenly pulled downwards. This wasn’t like when he first fought Shizuka and he was weighed by the air thanks to her Gravitational Pressure. No, this was something else. He wasn’t being weighed down he was being pulled down. Important distinction. The culprit was actually his clothes. Shizuka had taken control of his jacket, or maybe his shirt, or maybe even his pants, or all of it, and was pulling him to the ground with her Fullbringer abilities.

”Thot inbound!”

Jäger warned, though Luke was perfectly aware Shizuka was coming. His Dolls, in their sealed states, were only able to be aware of things that Luke was currently aware of as well. His Energy Sensory pinged when his girlfriend had begun to use reiatsu again. He was able to sense the build up and release of energy in her legs. She was Stepping. Luke’s options were limited due to Shizuka’s use of Soul Dominance. He wasn’t able to stand, her Reiatsu Strength far, far, surpassing his natural Strength and Reiatsu Strength. He was, effectively, pinned. Shit. He didn’t expect her to get a hold on him this early. But, honestly, it just made things more exciting. More interesting. It got him more motivated.

He couldn’t help but smirk in excitement when Shizuka appeared before him, her right leg raised and in motion to deliver a drop kick. A kick in heels? Geez that would hurt. But what Shizuka didn’t realize was that she was playing into Luke’s plan. So when her foot came down to meet his body, an unexpected result happened. Luke’s body would suddenly explode. The woman's vision would be covered, entirely, in a thick, white, fog that spread all around her. It was as if Shizuka had suddenly been sucked into Silent Hill. The details of the arena they fought in were gone. She was, literally, lost in the fog.

Even when she jumped back she wouldn’t be able to escape from it. This was because the fog actually followed her. Even as she leapt backwards with her full Speed to get fifty yards away, the fog would follow her just as fast. When she landed it would swirl around her like a cyclone, as if it had a mind of its own, and anytime Shizuka moved the cloud would maneuver itself to ensure she was at its dead center. ”If you wanted me to take my clothes off you should’ve just asked.” Shizuka would hear from, literally, all around her. Luke’s voice had no actual point of origin. It literally came from all around her. Like it had come from the very fog around her.

All legends had an origin. Every myth had some grain of truth. Stories of monsters and mysterious creatures did, in fact, have explainable origins if you were someone with knowledge of the spiritual world. The Lochness Monster, the Chupacabra, Bigfoot, the Jersey Devil, all of these and more could be explained as either Hollows or roaming Animal Spirits in the human world. The vampire was no exception. The vampire myth, story, and legend was all based off of the Bount. Garlic, garlic, running water, none of these legendary weaknesses of the vampire were actually true. But, some of the myths did have a shred of truth to them. The vampire ability to become a cloud of mist. That one was fact. That was Nebel.

It could only be triggered upon being hit by a physical attack. Neutralizing the damage and becoming a sentient cloud of mist, it made the Bount impervious to all forms of physical damage. What’s more, it also completely cut off Shizuka’s vision of the arena and what was around her. She was, literally, standing in a fog so thick she could cut it with a knife. If she could sense reiatsu then she would feel her boyfriends energy completely around her. It was almost as if his power was enveloping and embracing her. Romantic shit aside, though, this was a fight. So while Shizuka was busy, probably, being confused and trying to think of a way out of this Luke wasn’t going to let the opportunity slip by.

Behind her the mist would shift and shape itself. Luke’s uchigatana would form from the mist, followed by a portion of his arm. Nebel allowed the Bount to partially form in the mist for a bit of extra cost, so that they could launch attacks of their own or interact with something. Luke was choosing to attack. So, from behind, Luke would swing his sword at his woman's backside. It was a predictable attack, yes, but Luke was halfway certain that the confusion and element of surprise would earn him a hit. What’s more, he wasn’t going to have to worry about Cutback either. He could tell that his and hers reiatsu reserves weren’t that far apart from one another.

This is a Bount technique which allows the Bount to dissipate into mist. This can be done only upon being struck by a physical attack. One must be impacted by an attack for this to work. Reiatsu based attacks do nothing to stimulate this technique. However, the mist can flow out to become a large mist that covers the area and makes impermeable fog. "So thick you can't cut it with a knife." The Bount can reform at any time. Maximum limit to how long said Bount can be mist is 6 posts. The Bount's body can "partially form" within the mist. While the technique is class 5, the reiatsu cost to form the body inside the mist is class 4 cost. (Dissipating and reforming are both separate class 5 costs.)

[Shizuka Sanamizu ✮]

The smirk he gave her was enough to give Shizuka chills. She normally tried to keep it to herself, but fighting under circumstances like these was actually very enjoyable to her. She appreciated that he was willing to take it seriously and liked how flirtatious he was being. Actually, that was probably her favorite part. If she knew she didn't have to fight for her life, having fun was a priority. He was definitely showing her a good time, and it led her mind down other paths of equal opportunity. They were dating, after all. It would be normal for them to do something scandalous such as hug. Oh, the thought of it! A hug from Luke! She could just melt!

But instead of her own body melting, that seemed to be what Luke's did. Well, 'poofed' is probably a more appropriate term. Even as Shizuka jumped back, thinking she'd had him in a decent bind, this thick fog surrounded her. She'd attempted moving slightly from her spot as she looked around, hoping for an opening, but she never got one. This stuff was legitimately glued to her somehow. It wouldn't back off! And, worse yet, she had no idea where Luke was. Her lack of Energy Sensory meant she had to rely on other things, such as regular senses, her own instincts, and the experience she'd had after so many years as an assassin.

Even then, those things only did so much. Combined, it was great. It wasn't like she could predict movement or know exactly where anyone was, but she'd be able to hear them and react to them under the right circumstances. Unfortunately, in this kind of a situation, Shizuka was like a trapped animal. She didn't know if this was even a technique, and she wasn't too familiar with Bount powers, so that meant she was at a disadvantage. The only benefit to it was hearing Luke's voice. Then she was able to figure out what was going on. She could at least put two and two together from that much.

”If you wanted me to take my clothes off you should’ve just asked.”

Shizuka couldn't stop herself from blushing, but she was able to stifle the sound she made to be nothing more than a pleasured sigh. "Keep talking like that and I may not ask at all. I'll just make it happen."

Even though she was mostly teasing, Shizuka recognized that she'd never actually seen Luke without his clothes on. She knew what his body looked like with them, and even then it wasn't a bad sight to see at all. In fact, she was able to form assumptions based on how his clothing clung to him. The Fullbringer got to thinking about it more than she should have and realized she probably needed to stop. Her feelings for him weren't much of a mystery, but she wasn't going to deny the simple fact that she wanted to touch him. Actually, she wanted to do more. A lot more. That temptation was dangerously close to clouding her mind. If she could just pin him down...

A quick mental slap got Shizuka back on track with what she was doing. In reality, despite her distracted mind, not much time had passed since she landed. She kept looking around her person, eyes darting from side to side as she smiled with excitement. He was being sneaky and she adored it. He was using his own advantages against her. This was exactly what she looked for when recruiting for Xcution. It's what she desired when finding a partner. That didn't just mean a life partner, either. He would make an excellent Gun, but she knew he didn't want that. She hated that he didn't want it. He would be so good at it!

But he was also rather predictable. Materializing behind her with his sword was something an amateur would do. Still, he was headed down the right direction. She could work with this. As Luke swung his sword, Shizuka met his speed and dropped her body down towards the ground. This was to avoid the strike. Afterwards, she used Bringer Flash to move her left arm up as she grabbed his exposed one around his wrist. If she was able to hear his voice all around her and only part of him was formed, that meant this fog was a part of him somehow. It had to be linked to his body if he could travel through it, and there was a possibility that it was even more complex.

Shizuka stood up and locked his arm between her hands as she continued holding on to his wrist. This locked her close to him, which may be bad for her, but it also restricted his sword movements. The sword was going to conduct electricity, which was her goal, and the minor strength advantage was going to be good for her in terms of forcing him to yield. As soon as the arm was locked, the Fullbringer used Soul Dominance to conduct a shock of electricity less powerful than Electrocution, but still had about 10 milliamps of current within it. She directed it through Luke's arm into the dense fog, though she repelled it from her own body. Current is what hurts people when it comes to electricity, not volts. With 10 milliamps, assuming Luke couldn't escape, he would experience a painful shock that had the potential to knock him out as it traveled throughout the fog. He wouldn't black out, but he would definitely get hurt.

"I don't know how you manage to do it, but you definitely make me something when we get together. It makes me wonder what you're like in bed," she said, half-jokingly. He'd be able to tell she was serious, though. There was no way that would ever go over his head. She wouldn't directly say anything until later, obviously, but he'd know.

Technique Element: Movement

Technique Description and Effects:
This technique was created in order to counter similar techniques, such as Shunpo Karin and Sonido Garra. By using the same concept as Bringer Light and focusing it on a single limb, one can move that single limb at 5x normal speed, for 50 Reiatsu. Unlike the other variations, and just like the original version, Bringer Flash can continually gain speed upon repetitive use. The second use would bring the speed to 7x, at 100 Reiatsu. The third use would bring the speed to 9x at 200 Reiatsu. After this, each use brings the speed up by 1x as well as doubling the cost each time its speed is increased.

How to use technique: By manipulating the souls in ones muscle they are able to force it to achieve a higher level of speed than before. This often leaves the users arm emitting green Reiatsu like steam.

Drawback: The initial cost for this technique is 50, but for each use causes the price to double like the original Bringer Light. Secondly, if constantly used in the same limb the person will begin to experience muscle tearing. If used three times by the same limb the user will feel great pain in that limb as the muscles tear. If used two more times in the same limb the user will loose use in that arm for the remainder of the thread unless healed.

Sorry for the short post

Even though he had broken apart into a supernatural, sentient, cloud Luke could still feel his “cheeks” beginning to burn red. He was, honestly, thankful that the cloud of fog itself didn’t also suddenly turn red like his cheeks had. Seeing how Shizuka reacted to his flirting alongside what she had to say was, actually, exciting him quite a bit. It was something that seemed to be happening to the both of them. Regardless, they were fighting. They could play around and be all cutesy with each other when this was over. ”I think you mean drenching each other in bodily fluids.”

Luke’s initial attack had been to reform only a portion of his body, his arm and the sword, in order to catch Shizuka off guard. Naturally, however, he wasn’t expecting this to work. He acknowledged Shizuka’s strength and experience and knew that with all of that under her belt, plus the added bonus of her being a trained assassin, that this attack wasn’t going to work. It was too predictable. This assumption was confirmed for him when the woman suddenly dropped herself towards the ground in order to dodge his sword. He was glad to see her do that. With Luke being faster mentally than Shizuka, and his senses being like those of an animal, he was able to process all of what Shizuka was doing much faster than the Fullbringer could.

So when he suddenly felt reiatsu surge within her he knew that what he was doing next had been the right call. When Shizuka’s arm shot like a striking snake for Luke’s own arm, she would only grab mist. The Bount’s arm and sword became mist again, leaving her empty handed. However, Luke opted to use that moment of vulnerability against Shizuka. Maybe one of the best strengths of Nebel, aside from the protection it granted against physical attacks, was its ability to simply let its user reform anywhere in the mist. He could break his body apart and reform it in any position he needed to.

Shizuka would suddenly see Luke beside her, with his hand placed against her exposed flank, opened up from her failed attempt at a grab. Just like what she was going to do to him, Luke activated the Class 4 variant of Electrocution. While nowhere near as powerful as her plan to use Soul Dominance, it would be effective nonetheless. Blue sparks jumped from his hand and danced across Shizuka’s body, stunning and shocking her like Luke had just hit her with a stun gun. It wasn’t damaging, mind you. When used at Class 4, Electrocution wouldn’t do more than simply stun someone for a action. While Luke could have launched his attack at a range of seven meters he didn’t want to just give Shizuka a distance advantage like that.

”I might just show you if you win.” Luke would reply in a playful tone, a entertained smirk on his face despite the redness on his cheeks. He couldn’t help but get a little hot in the face whenever Shizuka talked to him like that. He certainly wanted to cross that bridge with her, but playing hard to get wasn't always a bad thing. Plus, if it gave Shizuka just that little more incentive to win he'd be rewarded with a even better fight.

It took two times, but she finally figured it out. She couldn't physically touch Luke. If she did, any part of him that materialized out of this fog would disappear back into it. She wouldn't be able to land a punch or a kick or anything like that on him. So she was instantly restricted to non-physical things. Well, if that's how it was going to be, she'd simply work with what she had. She wouldn't make that mistake again. She just needed to figure out a good way to get by this slight disadvantage. He was virtually untouchable and that was normally an easier way to trap someone. That wouldn't be the case this time.

Unfortunately for her, this time wasn't as easy. She was expecting to be able to hit him with her own attack, so she wasn't expecting his full body to reform in the middle of it after she missed. The technique he used against her was also familiar to her since she knew it, which made her wonder why he did, too. When the contact was made between the stunning shocks and her own skin, Shizuka yelped in pain and pulled her body close to herself. She fell over into somewhat of a fetal position for a moment since she was unable to move and waited until the pain subsided. Though it didn't take too long, she still hated it and wasn't able to counter properly.

But Luke was physical again. All of him, not just an arm. Shizuka's eyes darted in his direction as she used Soul Dominance one more time against his clothes. He would also be brought to the ground once again along with her, but she recovered and sat back up. She looked at him for a second or two with a weak smile on her face, but her strength returned and she noted not to make the same mistake again. She couldn't physically touch him, but she could use other attacks against him. So she just needed to think about something that would be effective otherwise. Something that wasn't necessarily physical but could hurt him.

The problem was that Luke had techniques like this one in his arsenal. Shizuka knew she was going to have to be quicker than that now. This knowledge was valuable, and she couldn't help but be proud of him. He'd grown so much since they first met each other. She could take him out with nothing more than a kick and now he was able to land hits on her. She wasn't surprised, exactly, but she was happy about this being somewhat of a challenge. She enjoyed it. So knowing that he was fully capable of holding his own meant she could really go all out. She couldn't be afraid to hurt him anymore because he could defend himself.

One more trap needed to be set, as well. She was going to have to play smarter against him. He was a good guy and a really great fighter which were both terrible things for her. Even if her last attack worked, there was no guarantee it would go exactly as planned. So she was going to make sure she had some form of upper hand. Shizuka used Soul Command to allow the room to tell her how large it was just by feeling out the souls of the objects inside. Using that information, she located the absolute center and used Bringer Light to get there. She stomped on the ground and unleashed a Minefield of her Reiatsu within a fifty-foot radius. This meant that even the air wasn't safe now.

This is the stepping technique for humans. It increases their speed for a single step by 10 times for 50 Reiatsu. It leaves a column of flickering light in the place where the user previously occupied. Unlike other steps, this one can be used to build speed. If used in succession, the speed and cost go up with each additional step. The second step is a 13x increase, and costs 100 Reiatsu. The third step is a 15x increase, and costs 200 Reiatsu. From there, the cost doubles with each additional step, and the speed increase goes up by 1 time. Meaning the fourth step is 16x and 400 Reiatsu, the fifth is 17x and 800 Reiatsu, etc. Though at first the column of light is visible where the user was, once the third step is reached, the column of light is no longer there. This technique does not take up a technique slot.

How to use technique: To work, this technique manipulates the soul in whatever the user is standing on, allowing for feats such as high jumping, or the step which increases speed.

This technique costs 150 Reiatsu and, as a result, can actually achieve combat useful manipulations. This technique can be used to manipulate raw elements up to the size of the user. It still cannot manipulate release weapons, and cannot manipulate the personal effects of an opponent such as clothing if there is not Reiatsu Strength Superiority.

Technique Description and Effects:
An advanced version of the lesser Firecracker technique, this one is actually meant to maim and kill, whereas its weaker version is meant to distract and slow. When this technique is used, the user can create a field of Reiatsu over a fifty square foot radius. Within this field, at any time, the user can detonate a section with the force of a large mine for the cost of 50 Reiatsu. An explosion does not use up an area of the minefield; the section is instantly replenished and can be detonated again.

How to use technique: Build up Reiatsu and spread it over an area, holding it in a steady wave beneath the ground before detonating it through simple focusing.

Drawback: This technique gets expensive; besides the initial cost of the technique, it also costs 50 Reiatsu per explosion, and atop that it costs an additional 100 Reiatsu per post to maintain the field. Atop that, it is tiring to maintain the field for long periods of time; after three posts, the pressure of holding it starts to wear on the user, and only gets worse after that.

His attack was an unparalleled success. Shizuka dropped to the floor as though Luke had jammed a stun gun directly into her side. To be fair, with the way Electrocution worked at Class 4 it wasn’t too far-fetched to say that his hand had become a stun gun. Regardless, Luke was now free to do whatever he wanted to Shizuka. ”How rapey.” Wow. He didn’t mean it like that. He meant that because Shizuka was stunned he was unopposed to carry out his next course of action. But, instead of attacking her he instead chose inaction as his next move. ”Oy oy oy what’re you doing?” Jäger asked when he realized that Luke wasn’t making a move, even though Shizuka was recovering.

Truth was, Luke held back. He knew that if Shizuka knew he did that she would probably get mad. But he just couldn’t bring himself to strike at Shizuka while she was down. He wasn’t fighting to take her out. While they were fighting at full power this wasn’t supposed to be a fight to the death. However, before he could do anything after thinking about that he was suddenly pulled to the ground again. Shizuka had, once again, used Soul Dominance on his clothes. He felt envious for a moment. Fullbringers had such absolute control over everything around them, peoples clothes included, that it made fighting them a fight against the environment itself.

If Shizuka was thinking about drop kicking him again then this fight would just become a loop. He would use Nebel to escape the damage and her grip and they’d be back at square one. Well, in fairness, Luke was the only one so far who had managed to land a hit. But instead of trying to hit him Shizuka...retreated? The weight on his clothes diminished, allowing him to pull himself back up, as he turned to look at Shizuka. What was she doing? She had retreated away from him and to the center of the room. Why? Luke was confused. ”She could have blasted you with something.” Windstärke commented, confirming for Luke that he wasn’t crazy in being confused about her strategy. She had him...so why didn’t she press her advantage?

However, it didn’t take long for him to realize why she had done what she did. The Fullbringer brought one of her amazing legs up and then stomped it into the ground, causing a wave of reiatsu to be released from the impact zone and into the space around her. The Bount’s dark colored eyes widened before, using reiatsu himself, he initiated a Step Technique to move away from the wave of reiatsu that was now occupying the space fifty feet around his girlfriend. The cloud of smoke produced by Nebel followed after him. Fifty feet...just about the size of the arena they fought in. This meant that even if Luke pinned himself against the stadium wall he’d still be in the range of that field. Well, thankfully there wasn’t any fencing surrounding the stadium anymore. The Bount reappeared, exiting his Movement Technique, in the audience section of the arena. Well, appeared. He actually tripped over a chair, landing in the seat behind him in an embarrassing display before he pulled himself together.

”Good job, stupid.”

”Good job, stupid.”

However, this presented Luke with a problem. He stepped out onto the staircase, he had to mentally wince at himself at the distance that was now between him and Shizuka. ”Haha, gay.” God, did he ever shut up? Nebel’s cloud condensed itself into Luke’s form, leaving him whole but with little wisps rising off of him in spots. Shizuka now had the range on him. He wasn’t going to go running into that field blindly without knowing what it would do. If she chose to bring out her Fullbring then this was just going to get even harder. He narrowed his eyes a little. Despite being a magical strength sort of fighter, Luke’s actual ranged capabilities were rather...limited. He was rather adamant at maintaining a close ranged fighting style, despite his lacking physical strength, out of respect for the Shinigami that had taught him how to fight. Plus his own personality refused to be someone who fought from a distance. Guess you could say Luke fought like you’d imagine a Spellsword character in a RPG game would.

Ranged battle.. Luke thought to himself as he knew, going forward, he was going to have to either match or surpass Shizuka’s efforts. She was pushing for a ranged fight and had, essentially, forced his hand. Adjusting his grip on his sword, Luke reached over with his right hand and tugged downwards on his left sleeve. You okay with this? Luke asked before he revealed the silver wristwatch that he was wearing. However, there was something funny about it. The hands weren’t moving at all. As though it was either broken or frozen in time. Shizuka, despite lacking Energy Sensory, would be able to feel a new sensation of pressure in the air. She’d know Luke was doing something and whatever it was going to be big. ”Yes. Let’s do this.”

”Ziege Dich...Windstärke!”

Luke’s reiatsu would suddenly spike and become visual. His reiatsu, turquoise green in color, flashed and burst outwards along the rows of seats and stairs. The wristwatch he wore, though, glowed a different color. It illuminated with a powder blue color before suddenly exploding into streams of light that gathered and accumulated in the air before Luke, growing and expanding into a form all their own. Moments later the energy spread and was pushed away as if it were the shell of an egg, shoved away by the stretching of the wingspan of what Luke had summoned, causing frost to accumulate on the surfaces around Luke. Hovering in the air before him was his Doll, Windstärke.

It was about six feet tall with a wingspan of thirteen feet when it fully stretched its wings out. While it was clearly in the shape of a bird it possessed no flesh or true feathers. Its body seemed comprised entirely of ice except for what looked to be a metallic skeleton from which that ice grew. But its appearance was deceitful. That metallic looking structure was ice as well. A single horn of ice extended from its beak, and two glowing blue eyes focused themselves on Shizuka with an inhuman intensity. ”Sorry, babe.” Luke announced, before giving her a confident grin.

”But now it’s my turn.”

As if that were the command, Windstärke suddenly unfolded his wings and stretched them to their full width. From his wings suddenly came a powerful, constant, blast of wind almost as if the Doll was a living industrial fan. Even from fifty feet away, the winds strength did not weaken. Pushed with the strength of his Reiatsu Strength and flying at a speed equal to that same Reiatsu Strength, if Shizuka didn’t do anything then it was going to be like she was hit by a freight train. Only having 100 Strength would mean that she was going to get pushed and flung all the way to the other end of the stadium and pinned against the wall. With nowhere to run or hide, her options for blocking Windstärke’s winds were going to be limited. She was going to need cover.

Luke knew this. He had seen a Fullbringer counter Windstärke’s winds before by making a wall rise from the floor. But, what Shizuka didn’t know was that the winds being strong weren’t what made his Doll dangerous. It was the temperature sapping effects of the Dolls gales that mattered. If Shizuka was left exposed to Windstärke’s wind then her bodies temperature would be reduced by one hundred and fifty degrees Celsius. ”I’m not going to hold back.” Windstärke had told Luke before he had released him. ”You both chose not to hold back against the other. If I hold back, even a little, against that woman then it would be an insult to her power and pride. She is much stronger than that man you work for.”

”Ggggghhhkkkk NO FAIR!! Why did you let that Articuno rip-off out and not me?? I wanna meet Shizuka!! It’s not fair!”

OOC: As you read, you'll see that I'm making an assumption about Windstärke's powers. It's something that is never explicitly stated in your app, so I went with what I knew.



Shizuka lifted an eyebrow as she thought for a moment. She was curious as to why Luke didn't take advantage of her while she was down, but she'd have to ignore it for now. She had to thank him silently for being fair to her. She'd handed him an opportunity and he didn't take it because he didn't want to ruin the fight. In truth, she could have taken him down right then and there, but she didn't. She never wanted to. This was a chance for them to go all out. Win or lose, she didn't care. She just wanted to see his growth. That, and she wanted to know more about him. This seemed like a good way to do that.

What she was able to do in that moment, though, was create distance. Shizuka was pretty decent close up, but her real power was shown with distance fighting. She was able to do anything she wanted. She could finally counter him. She could actually take him on. And she wasn't going to go easy. Besides, he has made it blatantly clear to her that he could take almost anything she had. That was fine! It's what she wanted! She'd be able to fight like a real Xcution assassin. Shizuka didn't have to worry about hurting him because he'd be fine. This was a good feeling. This excited her a lot.

As Luke retreated, she was thankful to see his technique follow him. He forced her to make this a ranged fight again. This was all his fault. She had to giggle a little bit at the end, though. He had tripped over a chair and fallen. He'd be able to hear her soft laughter from even where he was. She lifted one of her hands up over her mouth a bit as she laughed to try to hide it, but he'd definitely know. She saw it and there was no recovery from that. He was just such a cutie! She couldn't get over it. She wanted to launch herself at him right now and kiss his precious face. Shizuka's heart fluttered for a moment when she thought about it. The feeling made her gasp. What was that?

The feeling was familiar and yet oh-so foreign. She remembered it from a time long, long ago. She thought she had felt something similar during her time with Hebika, but this was different somehow. This was stronger and more warm. But she had pushed emotions like these out of her mind for so many years. She didn't want to feel it and couldn't make herself do that. So why, all of a sudden, did it come back? The Fullbringer questioned herself further. This was just too unusual. Why had Luke tripping caused such a reaction in her heart? Why was a small thing like that suddenly so important?

Well, that didn't matter. Not right now, anyway. Luke had revealed the silver wristwatch he was wearing. It was so funny that he had such similarities to Shizuka's powers. They both required use of an object that was special to them somehow despite the fact that he was a Bount and she was a Fullbringer. His powers also tended to have a bit of life to them while hers were fairly straight-forward, but it was exciting. Still, she knew nothing of their abilities. That was a problem. Sensing Reiatsu was also unnecessary when she could literally see it. The color was beautiful! This was something she always enjoyed. She liked seeing what the Reiatsu of others looked like.

But now wasn't the time to admire. She needed to focus. Luke was Releasing. Shizuka thought fast for a moment and did the same. Her golden shoes disappeared as her own purple Reiatsu began to glow. They both transformed as a bucket dropped to the floor behind her. The bucket was save and couldn't be moved unless she willed it. Along with it, two twin pistols appeared in her hands. She had jumped straight into her Class 1 Level Two version of Beach Queen. This would be expensive, but she needed it. Luke was no joke when it came to fighting with his Dolls. But speaking of Dolls, Shizuka's jaw dropped.

What formed before her was something of magnificence. She was completely in awe. The beauty she had come to know as Windstärke after Luke called it out was absolutely amazing. The ice and colors and overall appearance were just to-die-for. The blonde had a brief moment when admiring just how pretty this creature truly was. This had to come to an end, though. Luke apologized and called her one of her favorite pet names, but ultimately allowed his Doll to attack. Judging from the ice that coated the surfaces around the two of them, this Doll was extremely cold. Shizuka had to find a way to avoid that.

Bringer Light was all she could do to escape at that moment. The winds came from this creature's wings, so it could be fair to assume the overall size of the gusts were limited to that 13-feet wingspan. With this in mind, Shizuka used her step technique to jump up into the air. Her minefield hollowed her wherever she went since she was the epicenter, but she still wasn't yet close enough to Luke to detonate anything. She wasn't sure how much longer she wanted to keep it going, but it may be useful. She had to protect herself. With her twin pistols in hand, Shizuka pumped her guns full of their respective fluids. One was something Luke would recognize that could detonate in a frozen state. The other was something even colder than Windstärke.

"Oh my gosh!" Shizuka cried in excitement, standing on air ground. "Oh, how beautiful! I have never seen such a charming creature in all my life. Windstärke, right? You truly are magnificent. I couldn't stop admiring you and I almost forgot to use my Release! You are absolutely lovely. Are those ice crystals on you or actual crystal? Luke, you almost had me. I was about to be putty in your hands with the way you're talking to me until this one came out. How I wish I could come over there and touch you! That wouldn't be smart, though, would it? If your ability can be turned off at all, then we have some serious cuddling we need to do in the future. What a gorgeous Doll you are!"

In truth, she wanted to call a time out on this fight to go over and inspect Windstärke. Luke would probably never believe that that's all she wants to do before continuing, so asking for that currently would be too difficult. She'd have to push that desire to the side. She had a bigger problem to worry about. Being pretty aside, this bird-like being was not a great match-up for her. Everything about this was complicated. Her only major hope was attempting to bypass those winds and keeping her distance if she could. She could feel the chill even from where she was and she hated it. This was his way of getting back at her for ranged fighting.

Well, now she was relatively prepared. If he was going to use his Release, so was she. She just couldn't get over how cool he was, though. Luke really was such a handsome man. Everything about him was great. Even the goofy side was something Shizuka liked. Seeing him want to try to do well was wonderful, too. She loved the drive and motivation to succeed that was so vastly different than the first time they ever met. It made her a bit excited in quite a few ways. She didn't know why she was feeling that way during a fight, but she didn't hate it, either. Actually, she kind of enjoyed it.

"You'd better watch out when you act all confident," Shizuka began, but then hushed her voice to somewhat of a whisper. "You make me want to see if I can use my abilities to take everything on you off completely." She smiled and spoke louder again. "I thought I was going to be able to officially meet Jäger! I have to say, though, Windstärke. You are a spectacle."

So, this was what a Level Two Fullbringer looked like. While, yes, every Fullbring was different between its users it still didn’t change the fact that Luke had never seen a Fullbring pushed to its maximum level before. Because of the extensive information Uzaki Enterprise had on Fullbringers, due to the majority of its upper level employees being them, Luke had done a good deal of reading on what, exactly, Fullbringers were. He had come to have a basic understanding of how Fullbring worked, at least in terms of levels. The base form of a Fullbring was a Level One, or in other words the Shikai. But, a Fullbring could do a level beyond that. It was rare, and only a small few Fullbringers ever reached that state, but a Level Two existed for them. If Level One was Shikai, then the Level Two was essentially a Bankai.

The release of Shizuka’s full, complete, power was causing the very air to vibrate against Luke’s body. It was like every atom was shaking. His bones could feel the pressure of her power. Her Fullbring was on the same level as Windstärke, meaning if the two powers came to clash it would decide, entirely, on which one was stronger in raw power. Shizuka’s golden shoes vanished with purple light and became two squirt gun pistols. So that was her Level Two. He was expecting a bigger squirt gun, but instead her power got smaller. A bucket landed on the ground behind her. What did she call it? Beach Queen. Fitting name.

The Fullbringer managed to dodge Windstärke’s deadly winds by using her own racial Step Technique. Good. Luke was glad to see that. Windstärke was also glad to see Shizuka dodge his attack. It reinforced his belief that she was stronger than Luke’s employer. It made him think back to something, long ago, when Luke had gone on that date with the Bount named Aura. Luke had humored the cursed girl, wanting to show her the life and world she would get to experience when her curse was lifted, but he kept himself from feeling any affection. Luke was the sort of man who would only be with a woman who was his equal or stronger. Looking at Shizuka now, Windstärke was getting a better understanding why Luke had such strong feelings for her. In fact, she might just be the one willing to help him.

Shizuka had fled into the air, both Luke and his Dolls head following after her, and, oddly enough, remained standing in Air Ground instead of pressing the assault. "Oh my gosh!" Shizuka would suddenly shout, catching both Bount and Doll by surprise. She began to just gush on about how cool she thought Windstärke looked. The Doll blinked, descending from the air and onto the top of a seats back, folding his wings back against his body as he listened to Shizuka compliment him. ”Mmgh..” the Doll grunted a little, as he suddenly avoided his gaze meeting with Shizuka’s. Luke even noticed the Doll twitching his wings and toes a little. Was...was he embarassed? ”Ahaha! What’s wrong, Windy? You not used to being flirted with?” Jäger teased as Windstärke grunted a little.

”You’re...too kind.” Windstärke would reply, before he would finally turn his attention fully back to Shizuka. ”It’s easy to see why Luke loves you as much as he does.” The Doll would comment. Luke would blink. What did the Doll just say. His face suddenly flushed red when he realized what his Doll had said. ”Hey, wait, what did you s-” Luke tried to say, flushing red with embarrassment, earning him a “what” look from his Doll. ”Oh, right, sorry. It’s easy to see why Luke ”likes” you as much as he does. Is that better, tomato?” Windstärke asked, turning to look back at Luke before shrugging as best as a bird could shrug and looking back up at Shizuka.

”It’s not often I get to actually talk to the people I’m fighting. Luke usually only summons us when he can’t handle something himself or he’s in a life or death situation. You should be proud. You forced his hand.” the Doll would compliment. However, the Doll blinked when he heard Shizuka’s little threat to Luke. He looked over his shoulder, at Luke, and noticed his Masters face somehow turning even redder. ”Is that a knife in your pocket?” The Doll suddenly asked, chuckling at Luke’s sudden reaction. However, both men had a change in attitude when Shizuka mentioned wanting to see Jäger. Both seemed to be annoyed.

”You don’t want to meet Jäger.”
”You don’t want to meet Jäger.”

Both said at the exact same time, in perfect unison. ”He’s the most crass, annoying, bothersome little piece of crap you will ever meet.”

”He’s a perverted, unfunny, pain in my ass.” Luke would reply.

Shaking his head to clear out the annoyance and, well, naughty thoughts, Luke would look up at Shizuka and smirk a little. ”This is the first time I’ve seen a Fullbring at its strongest level. I was expecting a bigger gun, to tell you the truth. But two guns are better than one.” Luke commented, starting some small talk. He felt his lips tug a little into a toothy smirk as he looked at her. ”But if you want something bad enough, Shizuka, then you should just try to take it.” he challenged. ”I am right here.” Windstärke would cough. He was, honestly, rather fine with there being a break in the combat it seems.

Cold, blue, eyes focused themselves on Shizuka before the bird decided to speak. ”It’s hard to imagine you as an assassin. My mental image of one tends to be someone in a suit, usually bald, with little feelings or human emotions. I must say you...shatter those expectations.” The bird would comment, earning a confused look at the back of his head from Luke. It was true that Windstärke liked to talk, and Luke didn’t let him out very often, but the Bount had to wonder what the Doll was wanting to get at with a conversation topic like that.

Shizuka was busy reveling. He must not have thought she heard it. He probably was too distracted by his own embarrassment to realize. Shizuka had been blushing so incredibly hard that she feared she was going to start sweating! She felt warm. She couldn't get it to stop as she felt strange flashes of both hot and cold spread across her back. All she wanted to do was smile and giggle and do silly human things like the silly human she was. She heard it! She heard what Windstärke had said! She absolutely heard it. He loves me... Does he really? Ah! He loves me! He loves me! The poor thing wanted to melt in a puddle of happiness.

She felt bad, though. She did happen to catch how Luke and Windstärke were telling her that she didn't want to meet Jäger. Truth be told, she wanted to meet all of his Dolls. They were each a part of him, so she loved them just as much. Even if Jäger was perverted and unfunny or whatever it was they were calling him, he was still important. Shizuka briefly glanced down at her twin pistols. They weren't alive, but they had souls. That was how she could even use them. How could she possibly live with herself if she threw them away? They were like family to her, too. She would be proud to show them off.

But, then again, Shizuka really didn't know anything about this Doll. She'd thought it was cute how Windstärke got flustered when she complimented him profusely, but was Jäger somehow different? And then... Then there was that brief moment of silence between the two of them before they spoke up at the same time. They responded to someone Shizuka couldn't hear. Was that Jäger? How did he communicate with them if he wasn't a physical being? The Fullbringer recalled her knowledge on Pokémon for a moment. You could only properly interact with them when they were called upon. It wasn't like there was anything mental.

Actually, she really didn't know anything about how Dolls worked. She didn't know much about Bount in general. She always wanted to talk about it with Luke, but he didn't seem super comfortable with that so she left it alone. Shizuka wasn't normally one to pry when it came to things like that. If someone made it abundantly clear that they weren't interested in talking about a particular subject for whatever reason, she made a personal promise to herself not to ask about it too much. If he wasn't openly discussing this stuff with her, then from her personal experience, it likely meant that was because he wasn't proud of it.

Oh, there it was. A feeling she had desperately tried to ignore for the entire fight thus far. It was surprisingly overwhelming and almost caused her to fall back to the ground and on her knees. She imagined she was going to have to use something to keep her balance after being so dramatic, and all she could come up with was resting on her legs as a solution. But she did not. She stayed where she was on her air ground platform and slowly smirked. Her eyes somewhat half closed as her face betrayed her and showed Luke exactly the feeling she had been repressing. She giggled a little bit, but it wasn't playful or joking. It was inviting.

With a cough and a slightly irritated tone, Windstärke got Shizuka's attention before speaking to her. ”It’s hard to imagine you as an assassin. My mental image of one tends to be someone in a suit, usually bald, with little feelings or human emotions. I must say you...shatter those expectations.”

"Oh! Yeah, I guess you're right. I don't really wear suits like that and my head is certainly full of hair!" Shizuka shook her head and showed off her bleached-blonde locks. "But I suppose you have a point. I haven't shown you my assassin side yet. I wasn't wanting to. You wouldn't like it."

Shizuka closed the distance between herself and the Doll using Bringer Light. The smile on her face was gone and her overall demeanor was replaced by that of a shadow. Her expression was calm but focused. She made note of her distance from Luke, as well. She was close. She wasn't going to stay in one spot for very long, but since she was using Minefield, she'd detonate his area if she needed to. Once she seemed to appear behind Windstärke, she shot about two gallons of the ANNM fluid on the Doll's back. This stuff was resilient. It didn't have a smell and looked just like water, but even freezing it wouldn't subdue its explosive properties if that ended up happening.

Only two gallons wasn't much, but on a Doll his size, it may work. But now he was in a danger zone. If he got caught in Shizuka's Minefield at all and she detonated it, he would explode. Well, not entirely, but it would certainly injure the creature extensively. Making note not to add any physical blows to Luke, she shot two gallons of liquid nitrogen at him. In her Level Two, her guns handled these fluids similarly to bullets only in the form of relative speed, though had they been something like a quarter of a mile away from each other, the speed would be significantly reduced. Air resistance affected her shots more so than normal bullets, but she was close enough to him for everything to be okay. Her shots, on the other hand, would never be strong enough to penetrate the body. He was at least safe there.

Judging by where Luke was standing in relation to his Doll, Shizuka assumed there were safe zones. She didn't want to touch the Doll directly, though, because she didn't know what he was capable of. Luke was also a bit of a hazard. He wasn't just a bystander letting Windstärke do everything for him. But just in case, she wanted to try something else. She used Bringer Light once again to separate herself enough to perform the trick she wanted. She was now about 40 feet away, still within range of her Minefield, but able to react accordingly. With a motion of her arms upwards, Soul Dominated cement from the ground rose up in accordance and would create four curved walls around the Doll. The curve allowed the tops of the walls to meet each other and hopefully trap him inside.

Shizuka took a knee for a moment but refused to show anything on her face. "It wouldn't be fair to you, Luke. I should have explained everything in the beginning. But your Doll offered somewhat of a challenge." The blonde stood up again one foot at a time and used the back of her hand to wipe her forehead. When she spoke again, it was with a bit of a confident yet menacing grin. He'd be able to see her eyes as they peered at him from underneath her arm. "Do you still like what you see?"

This is the stepping technique for humans. It increases their speed for a single step by 10 times for 50 Reiatsu. It leaves a column of flickering light in the place where the user previously occupied. Unlike other steps, this one can be used to build speed. If used in succession, the speed and cost go up with each additional step. The second step is a 13x increase, and costs 100 Reiatsu. The third step is a 15x increase, and costs 200 Reiatsu. From there, the cost doubles with each additional step, and the speed increase goes up by 1 time. Meaning the fourth step is 16x and 400 Reiatsu, the fifth is 17x and 800 Reiatsu, etc. Though at first the column of light is visible where the user was, once the third step is reached, the column of light is no longer there. This technique does not take up a technique slot.

How to use technique: To work, this technique manipulates the soul in whatever the user is standing on, allowing for feats such as high jumping, or the step which increases speed.

An advanced version of the lesser Firecracker technique, this one is actually meant to maim and kill, whereas its weaker version is meant to distract and slow. Within this field, at any time, the user can detonate a section with the force of a large mine for the cost of 50 Reiatsu. An explosion does not use up an area of the minefield; the section is instantly replenished and can be detonated again.

How to use technique: Build up Reiatsu and spread it over an area, holding it in a steady wave beneath the ground before detonating it through simple focusing.

Drawback: This technique gets expensive; besides the initial cost of the technique, it also costs 50 Reiatsu per explosion, and atop that it costs an additional 100 Reiatsu per post to maintain the field. Atop that, it is tiring to maintain the field for long periods of time; after three posts, the pressure of holding it starts to wear on the user, and only gets worse after that.

Suddenly seeing Shizuka’s eyes half closed and that smirk paint itself across her features caused Luke’s libido to skyrocket higher than it already was. Windstärke being there didn’t mean shit now. Hearing that inviting giggle caused Luke’s pants to tighten and his ears to grow hot. He wanted her. Right now, fight be damned, he wanted nothing more than to pounce on her, tear their clothes off, and press his naked body against hers. Their clothes would be pillows and support. It would be fine. But, Luke was snapped back into reality, and control over his dick, when Windstärke had coughed and said his piece to Shizuka. The Fullbringer replied to the Doll with her typical attitude and tone, which was good cuz it let Luke relax a little more.

Seemed that Windstärke had poked the bear here. His blue eyes narrowed a little when Shizuka mentioned how she hadn’t been wanting to show off that side of hers. But, seems he had flipped a switch. Windstärke’s wings already began to unfold just as reiatsu made its way to Shizuka’s legs. Luke was good at sensing energy, there was no doubt about that. But his Energy Sensory capabilities paled in comparison to what Windstärke could sense. While Luke needed training in Anti-Stealth in order to sense those that were sneaking around, Windstärke could sense those who were suppressing their reiatsu like it was nothing. While it was true that he wasn’t strong enough in that skill to sense the nuances of the soul, it did mean that he was able to anticipate and react to reiatsu usage much faster than Luke could.

So, when Shizuka used Bringer Light to close the distance between herself and the Bount and Doll, Windstärke was already moving. Well, he couldn’t exactly move out of the way. But he was able to at least do something as Shizuka fired whatever liquid was in her gun at him. The girl had appeared behind him, and while he was more than capable of blasting her with his wind he ran the risk of hitting Luke as well. The Bount was standing right behind him, after all. As the fluid was fired from her gun, Windstärke activated Dunkelrüstung. While Shizuka might not notice it right away, with her attention shifting from him to Luke, what happened was rather simple. Growing outwards from his body was a cold, solid, armor of ice that encased his entire being as the ANNM splashed against his back.

Dunkelrüstung was simple. It was an armor built out of Windstärke’s ice that not only had a durability equal to his Reiatsu Strength, but also half his Spiritual Pressure. This meant that the Class 1 armor of ice had a durability equal to 1,375. Even if Shizuka chose to detonate the ANNM the Doll would be safe. On Luke’s end, however, things weren’t so simple. The Bount’s dark colored eyes widened when Shizuka appeared in front of him, his Energy Sensory having clued him in that the Fullbringer was preparing a Step, and launched a two-directional attack at him and his Doll. He wasn’t sure what she was firing at him, but whatever it was was fast. Not fast enough for him, though.

Before the bullets of liquid nitrogen could hit him, the Bount would vanish in a blur. This wasn’t Movement or Bringer Light though. Shizuka wouldn’t be able to sense it, due to not having any Energy Sensory, so she wouldn’t understand, unless told, how this specific Step Technique worked. The liquid nitrogen bullets would strike the stairs leading up behind him as they passed through the space that Luke was once occupying. The Bount would reappear, on a second staircase across the row of seats he traveled over. Luke didn’t use Movement to dodge the attack, he had used Schiene. Similar to how Fullbringers had Bringer Light, Schiene was the signature Step Technique of the Bount. It worked by projecting a rail of reiatsu for the Bount to, literally, grind across. It wasn’t terribly fast, only letting Luke move at 2,100 Speed, but it got the job done to avoid those bullets. Unfortunately, he had still played right into Shizuka’s hands. He was separated from Windstärke.

Encased in a cage of concrete, Windstärke was trapped. At least, so Shizuka thought. Luke followed her with his eyes as she situated herself atop Airground, about 40 feet away, and wiped her forehead with her arm. He blinked at what she had to say and, when he saw the look she gave him with her partly hidden eyes, it made him shiver. So this was what Shizuka was like when she did her job. This was her professional face. The cold, shadow, merciless intensity that he was feeling from her was the sort of thing only someone who was a professional in that line of work could exude. It was overwhelming, almost. It could make any normal person choke on fear. Luke, however, remained standing and fine. He looked up at Shizuka as he took in her hidden bloodlust.

Then he smiled.

”Yeah, I do.” He would reply. ”Regardless if this side of you wasn’t something you wanted me to see...it’s still a part of who you are. I would want to see it and accept it regardless of how bad it would be. Besides...it just makes me want to try harder.” He answered, before tightening his hold on his sword. The fight was going to get more intense from this point on. Looking at her, though, Luke had a feeling that whatever this boundary technique was she had going on was putting a strain on her. She looked winded. She was sweating more than he was. Nebel won’t stay active for much longer.. Luke thought to himself as his brain ran through numerous process.

I have no idea what this field of hers is. Is it an activatable attack? Some sort of sensory boundary? I think it’s sapping her reiatsu to keep active. He strategized, before his thoughts were interrupted by the concrete cage suddenly exploded. Bits of concrete flew through the air as the dust cloud was quickly blown away, and Windstärke hovered into the air. ”You’ll need a much stronger cage if you want to trap this canary.” The Doll would comment. Now, fully revealed, Shizuka would see that Windstärke looked...weird. His form was hard to make out. In fact, it looked like he was simply a black void existing in the air in the shape of a bird. This was because of his Dunkelrüstung armor.

The ice that Windstärke produced from his wings had a very special quality to them. It was called Dark Ice for a reason. The ice that Windstärke made had the ability to absorb light, thus making his ice come off as pure darkness. How did he break free of Shizuka’s concrete though? That one was easy. When he was sealed inside of it he had used his Rakete attack (though he produced only one) to simply blast himself free. Her concrete was only as durable as concrete, after all. ”I hope splashing me with a little fluid isn’t all you have in store. Otherwise, I’m going to be very disappointed.” The Doll would taunt, before unleashing his winds yet again at Shizuka. Same as before, if she was hit she’d be forced into the gales path and slammed into whatever was in the way. Then she’d start to freeze. ”Which would be a shame. Luke is confident that you’ll perform.” Windstärke might not have understood what Luke was actually thinking.

Luke, however, was not going to simply stand around. He needed to figure out just what that field was. As Windstärke pressed his assault against Shizuka, Luke was moving to his left. Leaping from the audience seats and onto Air Ground, Luke dashed to try and maneuver around to Shizuka’s side. Granted, if she was hit by those winds then she’d be pinned to something...but Luke doubted Shizuka was just going to get hit by that wind. Regardless, depending on what Shizuka did Luke pressed his assault against her. He’d rush her, sword in hand, and throw a stab at her with his weapon.

She should have known that it wasn't going to be that easy. It never was, and especially not against someone like Luke. She was testing Windstärke's limits as much as she could just to see what he could do, but there was only so much she'd be able to throw at him before they would catch on. For now, it was best that Shizuka stay close to Luke whenever she was able. Windstärke wouldn't be able to go all out if his Bount was in the way. That was what she hoped. If they really wanted to handle this like a suicide mission, that was fine. But then it meant Luke would be in even more danger.

Shizuka raised an eyebrow when she realized the Doll had this strange icy armor along its back. The ANNM she was using splashed against it, so she was at least thankful for that, but it was probably a protective feature. That much wasn't good. She wasn't going to know for sure unless she tried something, but she'd find an opportunity soon enough. For now, that makes two things she'd seen this Doll do. Those freezing cold winds and some strange ice backpack. That was fine. The only unfortunate thing was that she didn't know much else about Bounts or how their Dolls worked. She didn't have a whole lot of experience with them, but she was aware of most of their techniques. Evidently not Nebel, but that could be added to the list now.

Luke had dodged her other fluid fairly easily, but that was fine. That must be their step technique, Shizuka thought to herself. But this was good. Luke couldn't hide behind Windstärke anymore. The whole point of assassination was to cull the herd. Luke definitely had a 'herd' along with him and she knew he had at least two Dolls. She'd heard the names Windstärke and Jäger before. But at his level, he had to have one more. Knowing that much, knowing that she would possibly have to fight four opponents at once, that was enough to put her on edge. But it also excited her. So separating Luke and stopping the bird from attacking due to inconveniences was her strategy.

Now, atop her precious Air Ground, Shizuka watched as Luke formed a few ideas in his head. She could tell he was at least thinking, but what he was thinking about remained a mystery to her. She didn't like not being able to see glimpses into one's mind, but she was able to handle herself despite that. She at least took into account her approximate distance from the two of them. Luke was barely further away from her than Windstärke was, even in his concrete jail, but the Doll was within range for her to blow something up if she needed to. Having to keep Minefield active was super inconvenient, though. Her sweating made it obvious that she was growing tired. She'd recover a bit if she deactivated the technique, but she didn't want to just yet. Instead, she listened to Luke's answer to her question.

”Yeah, I do. Regardless if this side of you wasn’t something you wanted me to see... it’s still a part of who you are. I would want to see it and accept it regardless of how bad it would be. Besides...it just makes me want to try harder.”

Shizuka's eyes grew wide for a moment when she realized what he had said to her. Was he truly willing to accept who she was? Did he care enough to ignore the fact that she has killed people and will continue to do so? Xcution provided a home for her when she didn't feel welcome anywhere else. She was a strange human being with strange powers that almost no one else had. She barely met anyone else even remotely similar to herself. Shinigami, Bounts, Quincy, even Arrancar. None of them were like her. What made them human also made them something else entirely. She was simply human.

But this human was also very smart. Shizuka saw Luke's fist tighten around his sword. He was planning on attacking with it, she presumed. The young woman, silent thus far, took a step back to ready herself. Unfortunately, she jumped a little bit from being startled by the cage she had created bursting open. She growled a bit in frustration when she saw that her plan had failed. She was hoping to be able to take Luke on herself but she should have known that wasn't going to work. She miscalculated this time. Shizuka covered her face with her arms to avoid any debris flying into her eyes before allowing her focus to return.

”You’ll need a much stronger cage if you want to trap this canary.”

Ugh, damnit. Of course. So concrete wasn't going to be strong enough to hold off this bird for very long. Fair enough. She could have sworn it would have held him, though if he used some other kind of attack, that might explain why it didn't. She was frustrated because she couldn't see it. She had no idea about what had even happened because she wasn't able to sense any of it, and not being able to actually see it hurt even more. All she could do now was assume it had something to do with some weird strength attack or whatever. But it also may take a few more tests.

”I hope splashing me with a little fluid isn’t all you have in store. Otherwise, I’m going to be very disappointed. Which would be a shame. Luke is confident that you’ll perform.”

The bird spoke as he unleashed his winds yet again. Shizuka was at least familiar enough with these to be able to do something about it. Unfortunately for her, though, Luke was also charging at her with his sword in hand. She recognized the type, though she didn't have any experience with swords. She instead decided to try something rather daring. To avoid the winds, Shizuka used Bringer Light to dart straight towards Luke. He would probably think she was doing this to try to avoid Windstärke's winds, and that wasn't entirely untrue. But she positioned the gun in her left hand to where her finger was no longer in the trigger.

As she passed Luke's left side, she took advantage of his charging stance and aimed her gun to get hooked on his sword through the metal circle that surrounded the trigger, itself. She held on to the barrel as it faced away from her and quickly tugged against Luke's grip. When doing so, she twisted her body to the left, as well, to act as somewhat of a human lever. Her goal here was to rip the sword from Luke's hands. Just in case that simple movement didn't work, she used her Class 3 version of Electrocution with her free hand a short distance of about a food away from his torso as she turned. If this succeeded, then she'd have no problem getting the sword from him. He'd also be extremely hurt.

With her turn completed, Shizuka would grab the (hopefully) newly obtained sword and free her gun from it. She was now still forty feet from Luke's Doll, away from his winds, and twenty feet from Luke in a strange triangle. Immediately following the completion of her little dance, Shizuka allowed her Reiatsu to flare over towards Windstärke, likely confusing Luke since she made no motion towards what she was doing, but what immediately followed were five explosions. So now she was able to use Minefield. Partnered with the first one was the explosion that accompanied the ANNM fluid. Each other one was done immediately following the first like a pattern in succession. Repeated exposure to such concussive blasts at that intensity should definitely weaken whatever ice was on the Doll's back at the very least, but she still didn't know the extent of his power.

I don't have enough hands for this. Carrying three things was inconvenient, but it would be fine. She'd slide the sword through the belt on the back side of her denim shorts to keep it in place if she chose to move. She also needed to think quickly. She was running out of energy and was starting to get very tired. She didn't want to lose to Luke just because she maxed out all of her Reiatsu reserves, but it was starting to look like that was the case. If she couldn't pin him down somehow on her own, then she had one more thing she could possibly do. She just didn't want it to come to that.

"Don't make me shoot you, Luke. Please don't make me do this," Shizuka begged. Her eyes were a little teary, though she couldn't quite help that. They were watering from a lot of the air moving quickly into her face. Well, and she was heavily considering using that.

Technique Description and Effects:
This is the stepping technique for humans. It increases their speed for a single step by 10 times for 50 Reiatsu. It leaves a column of flickering light in the place where the user previously occupied. Unlike other steps, this one can be used to build speed. If used in succession, the speed and cost go up with each additional step. The second step is a 13x increase, and costs 100 Reiatsu. The third step is a 15x increase, and costs 200 Reiatsu. From there, the cost doubles with each additional step, and the speed increase goes up by 1 time. Meaning the fourth step is 16x and 400 Reiatsu, the fifth is 17x and 800 Reiatsu, etc. Though at first the column of light is visible where the user was, once the third step is reached, the column of light is no longer there. This technique does not take up a technique slot.

How to use technique: To work, this technique manipulates the soul in whatever the user is standing on, allowing for feats such as high jumping, or the step which increases speed.

Technique Description and Effects:
An ancient and powerful Energy Generate technique uncovered, Electrocution is a natural force using technique. This EG uses the raw power of electricity as its weapon, ravaging an enemies body as it is released from the hands or fingertips of its user. As the caster is only the conduit for the lightning, the EG does not rely on any of his physical or spiritual capabilities to perform. He simply needs the necessary Reiatsu to use it. Electrocution is a devastating Energy Generate as no force living or dead can withstand the effects of an electric shock. When the lightning strikes the target they will, typically, clench up and become immobilized as the pain of Electrocution courses through their bodies. Those struck by the electric shock are subject to the pain of high powered electricity. As mastery of the technique rises so does the power behind the electricity. Reiatsu Strength is the used Offensive Stat for this technique, but because this technique has definite damage the OS is simply used for clashes.

Class 4: The user cannot fully utilize the power of this technique at this Class. At Class 4 all the user can do is create a quick blast of electricity, a single and quick bolt that does nothing more than quickly immobilize and hurt the enemy. The bolt is quick, moving within the seven meter range of effectiveness in the blink of an eye. The immobilization caused by the bolt is quick fleeting, doing nothing more than stopping the target from performing an action (someone running would fall over). It is essentially the equivalent of someone being shot with a taser.

Class 3: Class 3 users of Electrocution are a force to be feared on the battlefield. As they practice and hone their talents with the technique they soon reach the level where they are no longer limited to a quick spark. Class 3 can release a steady stream of arcing bolts of electricity from their palms or fingertips for approximately seven seconds. While only one target can be struck at this level, the power at this level is much higher than its Class 4 state. Immense pain is inflicted upon the target, causing either intense tension in the body as it freezes up or simply collapsing. While not as lethal as the Class 2 version, this level of power is very useable in the battlefield. Unlike the former level, this one will even leave smoldering , second degree, burns upon the victim's body where the electricity struck. Machinery relying on electric parts are easily and effortlessly disabled by Electrocution at this level. At Class 3 it is entirely capable of killing people if you’re not careful.

Class 2: The most powerful level of this technique and only few have ever achieved. Upon becoming Class 2 users of Electrocution the user can easily gain the advantage on multiple opponents at once. The user can choose to release his technique from one or two hands or if Mastered from their entire bodies, releasing multiple forked arcing bolts of electricity to attack up to three foes at once. As the beams are forked they can jump between enemies, meaning one man can hit three people at once if they are close together. When the Class 2 version is fired, it doesn’t stop until the user either dies or wills it to stop. Multiple, hindering, third degree burns will cover the victim's body, often leaving them a steaming mess. The electrical power this technique is comparable to a lightning bolt, making it absolutely devastating against people. Continued and multiple exposure to this attack can cause someone to have cardiac arrest or completely disintegrate them.

How to use technique: Using the technique is rather simple. One simply focuses their Reiatsu into their hands and imagines lightning. It’s a technique that gives hardly any sign of its preparation, making it an extremely useful surprise attack.

Technique Drawbacks: A technique this powerful requires equally powerful drawbacks, and this technique has its own hindering drawbacks that makes someone think twice before using it. As the user is using his own arm(s) as the conduits for the technique, constant exposure to such high amounts of electricity is damaging. While the Class 4 version of this technique is far more lenient than its other versions, it can still cause numbing in the hand using it if used four times within seven posts. The Class 3 version is not so forgiving, however. The technique can be used safely twice before any of the limb damaging effects happen. Burning of the hands and arms is commonly seen after being used twice, as well as numbing of the arm that hinders its ability to be adequately used in combat. The numbness will recover after four posts. The Class 2 version of this technique though is the most damaging. It can only safely be used once, and anymore runs the risk of permanently damaging the user. Continued use of the Class 2 Electrocution would result in sever, third degree, burns across the length of the arm(s) that conduct this technique. While the Class 2 version can safely be used once, it will still result in the casters arm going completely numb and becoming partially paralyzed for four posts.

It has other limitations as well. Electrocution only has an effect range of ten meters, meaning an enemy has to be relatively close for it to even be effective. As this power is using pure electricity, it can be grounded by things that would normally ground electricity. Spiritual steel is able to partially block most of the power behind this attack, effectively halving most of the power but only if the target can block it in time. Both Hierro and Blut provide a natural defense against this technique, but follow Offensive Stat and Class Clash rules.

Technique Description and Effects:
An advanced version of the lesser Firecracker technique, this one is actually meant to maim and kill, whereas its weaker version is meant to distract and slow. When this technique is used, the user can create a field of Reiatsu over a fifty square foot radius. Within this field, at any time, the user can detonate a section with the force of a large mine for the cost of 50 Reiatsu. An explosion does not use up an area of the minefield; the section is instantly replenished and can be detonated again.

How to use technique: Build up Reiatsu and spread it over an area, holding it in a steady wave beneath the ground before detonating it through simple focusing.

Drawback: This technique gets expensive; besides the initial cost of the technique, it also costs 50 Reiatsu per explosion, and atop that it costs an additional 100 Reiatsu per post to maintain the field. Atop that, it is tiring to maintain the field for long periods of time; after three posts, the pressure of holding it starts to wear on the user, and only gets worse after that.
