The rustling of leaves would be heard as there has been a recent decline of animal and insect life in the area. This only accompanied by the now lifeless tree's in the area where the grey cloaked man walked as leaves and the such fell. it was like fall surrounding the man as leaves turned brown, red, and yellow in all but an instant. All the green in the world of healthy vegetation now gone and fully wasted.
The time taken and care given for each step he took only lead to a nearby beehive to cease to function. the sweet scent of the fresh honey caught his nose as at least he did good taking care of the simple nuisances in the area. This however did not stave from the lonely realization it could not be helped, nor controlled. Relius let a long sigh loose as he noted a lively stream nearby. the small song of trickling water was a well-known sound to the man. it was A momentary respite. Thus, his only ally were the rocks. Even this was temporary in alliance as the rocks even lost their own force and crumbled. pitching down a bag relius brushed aside his pink hair.
His hands went into the bag of supplies he carried on him. a small bag of dried fruit since fresh fruit spoiled and rotted prior to his mere touch, dried meat from a recent bear that happen upon him and grew too weak to continue. to put it as much he carved what meat he could and cooked then dried it to satisfaction. under a controlled heat-based technique he developed through the years of camping, and it was merely a show of sleight of hand and much practice. To make it as much he learned slowly to cope with his assets and their unfortunate drawbacks.
Where there was free food relius was there. A man amid the world only to find that the world in his immediate area was all dead. A stagment reminder that even coming back through sheer willpower. He only had so much time. With this he took his time to think through the years. Only scarcely coming back to civilization a handful of times to think on visiting a few places or stock on a few chosen resources. The rest of the time relius took to the pen and paper as he lined his fishing rod on a rock after casting the line and hook into the water. Taking a bit of dried fruit and some paper relius proceeded to write.
A dark void is only as dark as one makes it. Through the time I was gone I only thought of what it was that I could’ve done better. Where I could have made a better choice? I feel that if I stayed on the path of life and fulfillment. Eventually I too would’ve found some solace in my actions and life. Even then perhaps the words of a father hold’s a glint of cold within the silver lines. A youth blindly walks past these wells of wisdom that lies as our parents. Only to wonder in the darkness here if they too have felt the longing of our own. It has been so many years. Yet I looked back at my notes and found that each entry is but a pathway back to the agony of seeing life fade away. The skin, bark, and leaf becoming brittle. Drained of life and purpose. Only to see it swirl about myself. Only to apply it, but never to truly be what it is that my power saps. Perhaps like chasing a ghost. I too still chase the very thing that I long to continuously try to grasp.
He finished writing as he with much practice and routine scooped up the rod noting the line tugging after some time. There was one live fish which upon nearing with the hook in it went limp. Like all the other fish as they continued down the stream. Only a drained line that would build up and blockade others in their own resting place. The pile merely ever increasing as time went on. But such was the nature of life, and death.
Skinning the lifeless fish he would use its skin as a later bit of supplementary substitute of food. As his eye was on the flesh and hence after some time he had a small fire going by the fish cooking and a few hands in makeshift herbs and spices to season up the meal at hand. His hunger apparent as his stomach growled. The delicate and mouthwatering smell of a well cooked fish would fill the area as he grew more drawn to the meal incoming. A small curved rock would serve him as a quick basis to cool the fish upon being cooked. As there would be a hiss of steam and the smell resurfaced as relius left the fish to cool amid the now evening air.
Another habit picked up from both serving his wisdom and knowledge. The fish eventually felt by his sense adequate to eat. Another warm meal to suffice the stomach. He did not remember the last time he could eat a proper hot meal. It only lead relius to wonder what it was life to eat with no fear of a simple mouth burn. He once heard tale of a failure that took too big of a bite to bite down on his fork. Wether it was a mere myth or truth the result was not pretty. His base interest was now to be careful and show the careful nature. After all A wise individual is a well prepared one at the end of the day.
Thus, relius simply laid back relaxing after the meal was done. The occasional individual would be kind enough to join him If they happened upon his area. These were few far in-between and a delicacy ro relius. It was in part why he was far from the civilization and often relaxed in the wooded areas. His eyes quietly studied the sky as if looking to confirm something. The stars only twinkled in replay to that silent confirmation. Perhaps there was more then just the occasional spirit running amuck. But even the various individuals would find solace in their time of peace and rest. Thus he dosed off quietly for the evening.
Dawn was a kind reminder that the universe had it’s own way of screaming it had its own life and way. The sun rising that meant that life had it’s own waking time. Relius found himself in the pool of gold as per usual. The life of many a poor insect merely left in the husks somewhere the ants or other simple small creatures thus short lives only shortened more considerably from months, and even a few weeks. To merely seconds. The life force was merely the pool for him to toy with at his own will. A final testament to those that stood too long in his presence.
Rising to his feet relius scanned the area quietly as it was simple now. All dead trees even the earth was cracked and broken yet still travelable. Nothing that he could not handle in it’s fullest. Finishing the remains of the fish. The skin a nourishing feeling to his filling stomach after a couple chews relius noted the floating fishes and sighed as the warm sun glistened over the hundreds of ceased fish. It was an sad sight to him. The draining of life from the surrounding creatures and plant life. The rock already crumbled and eroded due to the power as he took a breath.
The cursed life over time but it is in my hands now…. Perhaps I can remedy in time. When I am stronger… better…wiser. Thus I cannot return what is lost. Only take what is there to take and hence…never return what they lose and others may lose.
The man thought as he cooled the fire with his pail of water and took another deep drink. A bird fell to the ground dead besides him as the gold pool expanded a meter or so. But that meant little as he continued on through the forest the crunching of leaves accompany him as he traveled. The sensation of his spiritual energy to do him a favor as he slowly decided that it would do him good favor to gain some usage in finding a way to avoid the risk of harming the creatures.
Through several days and a long winding path of hills and the ever-increasing rockiness of the path ahead. Relius slowly began to work up the power to walk in a way in the air for his continence and the plant life. At first the challenge became essentially tricky. As for the first couple hours of him moving and ultimately taking occasional breaks to work on the overall control of the technique on his long pilgrimage. The mountainous terrain was tricky so relius used careful usage of the technique taking the time to carefully work with the technique. Thus where he would find its uses in full linage. He would too find it’s shortages and it’s end points.
In the meantime away from the recesses of the prying eyes of man. Relius was heading towards the mountains to meditate as with the working of his reiatsu and the likes it would enable him to find greater way’s to survive and thrive in the end. The slow travel was merely to grab the necessary supplies to survive. It was the main reason why he fished. Fresh fish could last a man a good deal longer as do the healthy berries and the of course the rarity of the live meat from the dead animals. All for the cooking and preserving of relius as he quietly reflected and with slow working of his reiatsu and writing. It was a quiet but lonely life of solitude.
With the frequent breaks that followed the prolonged uses of the technique in mind. Relius did not drop to the simple relaxations of a normal person. He was smart with his trainings. As he moved he worked with the mysteries behind the reiatsu and it’s full uses. From the old chants he heard and thus reminiscence on with the words of prayers that evoked the mysterious arts of spiritual and binding magics and destruction. The words of each one had a distinct hum and chum to it. The very baisis of these mysterious arts were one such mystery relius took a small hand in dabbling in as it was noted in the mere hours of dawn he would practice amid the decayed and cracked rocks nearing his goal. Thus like the higher elevation of seclusion that he desired. Relius took too the challenge of these mysterious chants to their fullest.
Relius quietly worked alone as he slowly took that the liberty he held in the fullest was the very thing that he robbed was robbed from him over a century ago. The works of the world were truly a wonder all of it’s own. The day’s turned into cool nights as the terrain became rugged. All in this time it merely meant he simply needed to take his time in ascending the hilly slopes in solitude. Taking his time enabled relius to carefully chart the surrounding area for the safest route. An eye to analyzing the landscape and thus remembering the routes he took to reach the spots and what it took. In both calculations and the likes of utilizing the air platforms to make sure he had a way to make his way amid the rocky passes. It was a true test to his ability to remain durable as even after awhile he managed to make it to the mouth of a cave on the edge of a cliff.
Now as he rested against the wall of a cave in the mountainous region. The howling of the airy tunnels as the scent of sea salt could be easily picked up by relius. His attention fell to the golden like puddle that formed around him from the faltering dying creatures around him. Shellfish, crabs, other various mullusks, and shrimp all meeting a grisly fate of meeting an unfortunate fate to relius. Yet from it and the basis of his trainings as well as the isolation of the caves. The man began to emit his reiatsu a bit more freely and the golden pools shimmering
The calming nature of the sea put in full fruition was a wonderful way to concentrate and maintain his focus as well as keep him able to block out the noises and thus case concentrate on what was important. The raging force of his flood was unique and powerful as away from the other humans his only way to improve as such was to make it so that he had the means that the more tools he had around him. The better his chances of avoiding the rumored assaults of the individuals that would try to harm him.
Relius was a man of wandering and the man that simply seeked a way for peace like a monk. Although it was painful when you realize that even amid your greatest efforts your own body and spirit prevents Such a thing. The unfortunate harsh point of the world which greyed his view of thing’s and kept him in the middle of all spectrums. However, even in the recesses of his mind he was aware of the raging warrior that lived within him. The keepsake that came with him being alone is amid the rush of combat in the end puts him in a trance of sorts. The same reason he chose an quiet secluded area to keep the mind as a way to escape the hunger of other’s life force. For where the field around him lay. The unfortunate were the ones that in the end lead to many a person faltering and falling,
The drops of the water in the damp cave was a mere reminder that it was dawn as he woke up in the dark cave. Relius rising from a new pool of gold life force lost to the unfortunate creatures that had the unfortunate case of meeting their end to his reiatsu must have been many. As even the moss seemed to have lost their color amid the cave walls. As the husks of snails ceased in the entrance of the cave.
Relius upon exiting the cave arrived to the sight of facing the east and the reminder that the world was beautiful. The eastern sun had the showing of the waking world among it. His path was clearly a former path amid the dawns light as there were darkened life in the wake of his steps and the rocks even seemed to have lost color. With that regard there was the shimmering of lively vegetation down the mountain path as he took it as a nice slow morning. After all he had plenty of time and as such more then enough to make his way with care and control down the mountain.
It took significantly longer then the usual to come down. As the dangers were many and so the use of air platforms required precision and even the time to remain calm and in control. The evening was well upon him as he finally made it to stable and steady ground which on it’s own shared it’s reward. A periless journey to reflect on the existence that is fragile. This he quietly pondered over in silence under the stars as he with care headed down the coast line and gazed at the calming sea. Which on its onwn shared an amazing relation to the moon that evening.
Relius gazed quietly as the symphony of the waves crashed quietly on the base of the cliff that was a sheer 50 feet drop. His eyes simply gazed silently over the sea in deep thought as he wondered what It meant to have a second chance. The tides of life force were many and thus in the end he was one that robbed them from both the innocent and the guilty. It was all the same in the end in his eyes. For what this merely meant to the man was simply that. The value of life was more then one could fathom.
If life is said to not give no chances. Then why in the end does the evil and good not live to their best and greatest in compliment to one another? Perhaps the grand unity in such larger then life conflicts had volumes of way’s to fully have us appreciate the gifts given to us. Perhaps that is the very crux of the second chance. A re do in which only life grants a person the means to keep going. Yert I rob life with my purpose… to exist and survive to the rising dawn. Such as is the sort call of their peace. Some roam while the ones in lack of gratitude they were raised upon…
Relius’s thoughts went quiet as he continued down the coast and found the simple looking’s of a parking lot. It was the looks of a road connected to it. The man out of mere curiosity and wonder although he was certain proceeded to head down the road via night and the far side away from the road with his eyes on it curious to whom may or may not pass though. Although it became clear he had little to gain watching the road. So instead used this as a means to be his directory towards the larger and busy depot of the city that bumped with meanest and ugliest individuals.
The road made it all clear if he had spotted this sooner the route wouldn’t be as prescence to pass up on. Which only nothing too bad, but the rules would’ve been easier with the low on actions in the streets. It made relius interested to observe this town towards the main land as he would mind his steps, for it would be a long travel to the large depot of homes. As after a few hours of travel relius would spot the beginnings of thoughtful beings.
The houses slowly gre from small country side homes. To the growth of the tiny estates and traditional rich homes of the wealthy in their establishments of their dutiful earnings. Thus the road grew morevast and spread into separate roads with the hum of the more frequent cars coming by more and more as relius traveled through the area. The homes grew not in just size but also in the number of dwellers as well by the looks of it. No longer the richness of the wealthy, but now the establishment of the middle class and under as they held more crowded areas. Also the fields became less dense till they were merely parks in the area, then finally the paved forests of alley way’s.
the ammount of time passed since relius has visited a crowded town was considerate. It was not everyday a person would see a failure walking among the world. Although unlike animals humans were witout a doubt much sturdier. they could last alot longer. Despite the dramatics of swooning women and gasping men clutching their hearts. but it was not intentional on relius's part. he only casually would walk amid the lesser parts of the day.
A reminsence perhaps of his former lie? perhaps it may have very well been the case. As traveling through the city at night merely spoke volumes of his nature. Originally he recalled merely wandering the darkest alley's in the questionable behaviors of by thoes of faith would call a sinner. In his much more insightful words there were the wise choices and the dumb ciuces. Thus the people who made them were rightfully considered as much.
Durring the day he quietly sat at apark bench as unfortunately the animal's had the instinct to avoid him. often making a dutifully point to go away from mere human food around him, and instead pick at natural berries as their beady eyes would notably watch him in fear and pure animalistic instinct in play. Relius for one did not put as much thought. as a bird that did not simply eed the bread crumbs as much as a scavenger did not need to finish burger remains.
these small things relius cared for as sadly he could not merely be multiple places at once, but for the sake of it do even a tiny bit for his part to keep nature flowing and well.
He waited quietly as the day time slowly shifted to night. The denzeins of the city were various. It only brought a rather deep pit in reliu's gut as the emotion was relative.
He knew that once upon a time he could've made diffrent choices to prolonge his own normal human life. Now seeing the joy and knowing that they feared the unusual. It was not the largest shocker, but a sad reminder that time moved forward. Leaving thoes who were lost in the same spot. Behind the children mother, and fathers that learned to cope with the change.
It was like watching the world xsprint ahead. Yet to relius he knew he was a stuck induvidual. Seen by others he recalled his first time wandering. Yet he was unknown and feared. The few he could speak to were soon rushed away as they too fell ill. And it was never his own fault. It took several years to let that go by.
The sun lowered as it turned ruby red and relius stood up as he decided that amid the waning of city activity. There was also the best time to move unseen by many. Witj his ragged grey suit and sporting a grey hag relius moved as he stepped onto the streets of the city.
The lamp lights went on as he quietly walked along the alley ways as his senses were in full alert. The habit of dealing with vial and the underbellies of the underworld of human society showed him much. As he noted what most would not. A setting of the descrete night life.
The second side of the coin was the underbelly of society. The noctorious called this day as they considered an evening steak breakfast. The unfaithful spouses and. Thus the crule and unusual would litter the darkes t spots of the town. However, that there was where lay the deepest and a darker side of his now new world. The boogy.men, or monsters children cried to.
These were beings of as relius learned over time. Known as a negative species. These hollows for the lack of humanity that even relius maintained and held to dearly. They however were not something relius prefered to encounter. Instead he merely travled to observe.
The golden pool formed around him as with the life force drained from stray cats, dogs, rats, insects and trees thus the path of death via lost life. The pool shimmered a bit as there appeared a makeshift of motion from the thing. It was time as it formulated into a floating form of a man, but not quiet. Shrunken face, and frail in body. The muscles lesser then a man and its vision poor.
"Yeah you should scour out. Do not go near the innocents. Just stay out of range and do your best to simply be the eyes i dont have"
Relius stated as the creature grunted with a soft nodd and flew off above. With a heavy intake of air he felt the drain. Thankfully he simply absorbed some of the golden hue within him to substitste the loss and had plenty to spare. The unusual motion was one of his namesake abilities.
The creature surveyed the area quietly above around several hundred feet up. As it would sense relius clearly, but thus only normal induviduals. Nothing out of the ordinary. As after several minutes the creature looked down at relius and proceeded back town towards relius at around 50 feet it would simply speak in a audible voice.
"Negative"
The creature would speak as relius after a moment of silence would nodd and wave it away. Thus the creature knew what this meant and proceeded high into the air before relius stopped the ability. Thus the explosion was merely a random rumble like the sound of oncomming thunder from the distance.
With that relius continued on his way as he quietly proceeded down the alley way the technique rarely saw true action, but was acceptable by his standard. These after all were merely the way he needed to keep tabs on the area. Should an unpercivable danger pose to the city. Relius, would rather find that it was handled or at the least noted by himself.
After many such patrols relius came to a stop wiping his brow. He needed a substantial ammount of life force to normally use the technique which was understandable. It would tlrecover with rest and undoubtly time.
The lack of spiritual precence showed relius that even amid his unorthidox way of finding things and the sacrifical level. It would do him well that the area would be clear and well. His side job as a mercenery was light and easy which meant he did not have to worry about going on a battle high and subconciously try to keep himself on track.
The midnight moon was quiet impressive. It was a beautiful sight. The man grew accustom to it as he travled throughout the years. If it was'nt for the only light in the night sky. Perhaps he would've done much evil and darkness.
With an exhuasted sigh relius proceeded towards the north. The silence of the streets minus his footsteps only made him wonder what it was like to sleep in a bed once more. It was a rare thought. Yet the city here brought the reminder. Simply because even the hardest criminal uncaught had a bed to return to.
Thus as he knew even the brightest smile had a tale of darkness and mystery to it. Perfection was a lie. Thus the blind who ran towards it were just as naive as well.the thought snapped relius from the idea as it brought him to his senses.
It was time to head off although he would be nearby doing occasional checks in the city if need be.
Unfortunately, the length of some of your paragraphs in the last two posts were too short to be considered for grading. I would recommend trying to aim for the same length of paragraph as what you had written in the first post, which were perfect.
