Aurora felt horrible for what happened to Shiki, but it seemed that this trouble led him to becoming an Arrancar. It seemed this great trial made him much stronger than he was before, at the cost of his sight. She didn't want that to happen to her, but she assumed if it was going to, she would be blind right now. When Shiki said that they all needed to die, Aurora grinned. She could definitely do that. After that, she walked, scanning the horizon for anything different or off. Due to her weird sickness, she didn't trust her nose, since she couldn't smell the nasty smell from before. Her eyes, on the other hand, seemed to be working quite well.
Keeping her eyes peeled and trying, at least, to smell out anything, it seemed that they had been walking for HOURS. Then, she stopped and thought she smelled something. The other two walked in front of her and about a minute or two later, Asuka said that she smelled something wrong. Was her nose actually starting to work again?! She lifted her nose up in the air and started to walk in the same direction, finally picking up that weird smell that it seemed the both of them had been able to smell from the start. Oh God, that was nasty! And she ate that?! Never again... She vowed to herself that she would NEVER eat another hollow in haste like she used to. How could she be stupid enough to not even notice this horribleness!?
It was then that Shiki pointed out a large concentration of hollows. Counting, there had to be at least twenty of them congregating in one area. She knew for a fact that they had to be eating something, it was one of the ways that she was able to catch so many of her prey off guard. Since they were already preoccupied with eating, they never seemed to notice her until it was too late. She watched them, trying to pick out any hollow that seemed to be eating the most, making them something of the 'Alpha' in that small little pod. She was barely listening to the others while she was concentrating on those hollows. Did she something that they were standing on...? When she decided that they needed to go investigate, Asuka seemed to have the same idea to go check it out.
While Aurora was walking forward, she was testing her arms and legs, twisting and stretching them to see if she was feeling anything lingering from her horrible bout of abdominal pain. She felt nothing that seemed to be off with her. Her balance was good, she hadn't felt woozy in over ten minutes and she didn't feel the need to vomit every five steps either. It seemed to her that she was well on her way to actually feeling better. Aurora completely ignored what Asuka said. It honestly just made her angry. It was the same with the Trecera. Everytime he tried to be stern and forceful with her, making her do anything, she would bitch and flip him off.
She would still do what he asked, but the way he said it just made her angry. She felt the same with Asuka. She slightly heard a 'Don't eat them,' to which she flipped her off. Then, she ran towards the horde of hollows. She started going slow at first, gaining speed to test out her legs. Nothing pulled or tweaked, so she went full tilt towards the hollow. She ran into the center and found the thing that they were eating. It looked like another one like them, which she figured it would be. It was just the way of hollows. They all glared at her and she reflexively moved the corpse to her mouth. She caught herself before she took a bite, remember her promise to herself.
Instead, she threw the body towards where Asuka and Shiki was standing, hoping that if it reached them, he could investigate this fresher sample while she took care of the hollows. She ran to try to separate them out, knowing it would be easier to fight in smaller groups than all twenty at once. Running off, she saw two hollows rapidly catching up with her. She would smile and quickly turn, pointing both hands, palm up, towards them. Two Balas quickly formed in her hands and were shot out of them, hitting the two hollows straight in the chest. She saw the silver blood start to fly off them as they were pushed back into the group. Two hollows immediately started to devour them when three more started coming towards her.
Now, she could just Bala them all into submission, but that wouldn't be nearly as much fun as going in with her actual weapon or fists. So, she drew her blade and stood, waiting for the next three to come at her and when they were close enough, she would slash through them with her blade, cutting them up as much as she could to guarantee that they were completely done. She would wipe the blood off her face and flick the blade hard in an attempt to clean the blade before more came at her. She wouldn't notice, but if Shiki and Asuka noticed closely, a slight mist was starting to come out of her mouth while she was breathing heavy. The mist didn't effect her, but it was definitely something strange.
The next four, she tried to slice out their knees first, making it impossible for them to get away before punching them hard in the face, knocking them out. Then, she would behead them all, making sure they were dead. She did a mental count while the other hollows saw the dead bodies around her and started to run towards her, she assumed to start feeding on them. Eleven left....this should be a nice training for me to get back into the swing of things.... The next one that ran at her, she changed her hold on the blade, using a reverse grip, to slice towards the hollow before it too joined its death brethren at her feet. She grinned like she used to, with sadistic glee towards the other ten hollows, feeling her anger and rage rise up again.
Oh, how she had missed this feeling. The mist was getting more prominent now, coming out steadily with her breathing, getting slightly thicker now. She ran towards the next two hollows, punching one out and slicing through the other. Then, slicing them both up and looked towards the other hollows. Eight hollow eyes were staring back at her but she knew that soon, they would all end up at her feet like the others. The next two went down as easily as the last two, hitting them hard and making sure they wouldn't get back up. The next two, however, something had changed slightly.
Aurora didn't realize it, but her sword was gone. Well, not gone, but it had disappeared and with it, more mist seemed to take its place and mist covered her fists, taking a familiar shape, the shape of her release knives. Only, instead of acid, they were mist. The looks ghostly on her knuckles, but she paid no attention. Her focus was on the remaining hollows that stood out in front of her. With only four left, she knew that they would more than likely be the strongest ones out of the bunch. She roared loudly and with that, more mist started to surround her and the immediate area. She looked wild, glaring at the last remaining hollows. At the moment, she didn't feel different, but the mist that she was emitting was telling otherwise.
She ran headlong into the last hollows, her movements shrouded by the mist that surrounded the area. Shiki and Asuka might be able to make out what was going on inside, but the mist production had increased twofold in the heat of her fight against the last hollows. She would punch, evade and try her best to cause as much harm to these hollows as she could. The first two she took out were relatively easy, hitting them where it hurt the hardest and watched them fall like all the others. The last two, though, were definitely much bigger than the others were and she assumed, they would actually know how to fight for the most part.
The first one came at her, swinging at her head. She ducked just in time but wasn't able to avoid the other hollow's attack. It hit her in the mid section, causing her to squeak slightly and hit the ground hard. Breathing heavy, it was then that she noticed that there was a mist surrounding the area now. What was this....? She didn't know where it came from, except that she was breathing out mist several minutes ago. She had thought that it was some weird fluke that she was breathing out mist, but maybe it wasn't one after all... Could this be the change that Shiki thought would happen in her after eating that weird hollow?
Finally looking around, she noticed the small mist circle that surrounded her and the other two hollows. The mist felt different but before she could do anything, she ducked, avoiding the next strike from the hollow. She would then look towards the other hollow, who seemed to try to attack again right after its friend. But this time, her fist met its face and its face was cut in half by her attack. She stood up and looked right in the other hollow's face. It was the twentieth one and she grinned. This was the first time in a long time that she was actually having some fun in a fight.
The last fight was a blur of motion. She acted quickly, reacting and attacking the hollow until it breathed its last. Standing up, she looked around and the mist slowly started to recede. Her blade appeared in her hand again, completely clean. She sheathed the blade and looked towards where she saw Shiki and Asuka. What they would see it Aurora, breathing out thick mist and her body exuding the same kind of thick mist. She then smirked towards them, looking near where the last hollow fell and saw something shiny in the ground.
Moving her bare foot over it, it seemed that it was some kind of door. She waved the other two over here. "HEY YOU TWO! I THINK THERE'S A DOOR OVER HERE! HURRY UP BEFORE YOU GET LEFT BEHIND!" She would quickly open the door and peer inside. She couldn't see anything in the dark hole, so she took a breath and jumped in, landing on both feet. She looked around after she landed, to try to find anything that looked like a light or a switch. Moving her hands across the walls, she eventually found something that felt like a switch and pushed it. Light illuminated the hallway and she had to shield her eyes from the sudden glow. Once they were adjusted, she would turn back to the other two, assuming they jumped in after her.
"Well, I guess we just move forward now." She started to walk forward, down a weird hallway in a strange place.
