Sitting around doing nothing in Las Noches had gone on far to long. The boredom of just sitting by waiting for Kouhai to give some sort mission that would entail facing off against the strongest of all the spiritual realms was simply disappointing. For centuries the Espada had been known as the most fearsome of the Arrancar. A group that could bring down any other. One that should never be fought or crossed even if it was only a single member when confronted. He had joined in the hopes that the group would still possess such powerful entities. Alas though those days were gone and despite his best efforts to train and teach the new generations it didn't look like any time soon there would be anyone that could rival him frequently. So it was time to live a little again.
He had decided to take a day for himself. While his other affairs were in the wind and building to the point that they could one day be of use to him now was simply a day for potential entertainment. Here in Soul Society close to the where all of the Shinigami slept so soundly. He stood in an alleyway between two large buildings in the Rukongai. Staying out of sight wasn't usually what Sargon decided yet for the moment it would suit him best. Simply focusing his reiatsu and allowing it to seep out in order to effect the world around him was enough to draw attention. The heat of his reiatsu burned the ground he stood upon while the building next to him began to burn. The temperature of the air began to rise up like a rocket through the sky. It wouldn't take long before the citizens of the Rukongai began to pass out from heat stroke. Soon Shinigami would arrive and Sargon might be able to have some fun for the first time in a long time.

July’s steps on the smouldering stone slabs of the Seireitei were light, light as his spirits were, as he had been released from the shackles of his desk! Senshi had asked, politely to be fair, to complete his paperwork - which he was duly doing - but now an emergency had occurred! Rukongai citizens passing out from heat stroke! Mysterious rising temperatures in the middle of one of the poorer districts! The aforementioned heated slabs! The other reason July was so lightfooted was to avoid the soles of his shoes melting. They already felt a little sticky… In fact he felt a little sticky, just a little mind you, all over. This heat was not good for the complexion. Not good at aaaaaaalll.
But he was therefore so, so lucky that the family had splashed out for this lovely new suit - resplendent in his favourite emerald green - just for his birthday! Well, he had told them it was his birthday anyway. Daiji hadn’t looked too convinced, but July had persuaded a few of the more dimwitted cousins. And together they had all invested in this lovely suit, which was just like his usual one! At least the silk was somewhat cooler in the heat. Better than the starchy stuff the people here usually had to wear - no wonder they had all collapsed. They should also try convincing dimwitted cousins to buy them expensive gifts. In fact, it was a practice everyone should adopt. A classy way to make oneself bothe richer and more liked!
Of course, now this heat had ruined his return present. Fortunately the toffees had been contained in their own little plastic bag, but now all that remained of the beautifully shaped confections was a sticky mess of sugar and syrup. That was only supposed to happen when they were in one’s mouth! July almost pouted. The family confectioner (which he had only recently hired) may have to be hired over this travesty. It was simply unacceptable that these sweets should melt as soon as they withered above what felt like the top of a volcano. He had only been here a few moments!
Of course, volcano was precisely the right word. Based on Shinigami records of opponents, it was quite simple to narrow down the potential culprits for the melting of July’s toffees. July took the researching of sweet-ruiners very seriously. Extremely seriously. So seriously that he had done his research before the sweets in question had even been ruined. He was just that prepared. And top of his list of potential toffee-tarnishers was none other than the Tercera Espada himself, Sargon Denumic. A fiery sort, perhaps. A man who did like to proceed his entrances with heat waves. Surprisingly kind of him, if he ended up visiting somewhere close to the sea. Hot weather was always nice.
”Saaaaaaaaargon-kun! Please do come out~! I even have some toffee I’d like to share~!”

Standing in the same spot that he had been occupying for roughly ten minutes now the buildings that he had been between were now ablaze. In reality there was virtually nothing left of both buildings with the exception of the main beams that gave the structures support. Everything was scorched black as night and the ground around him was burned crisp dark. The fact that no shinigami had managed to find him yet was quite a surprise. He had figured that in ten minutes at least a weak patrol would have come searching. It wasn't like he was suppressing his reiatsu or even attempting to hide himself physically now that the buildings were burned down. If anything the only thing concealing him now was the massive blaze of flames around him.
The screams of citizens running away from the ablaze area would have at one point brought Sargon's emotions to a up rush of adrenaline yet now it did nothing for him. All of this was simply boring. Just as fruitless as sitting in Las Noches with nothing to do. He had come here in the hopes of quickly finding a Shinigami that might be able to give him some entertainment for at least a few hours. It was starting to look like he might need to wait that long before a Captain or even a Seated Office might arrive. Such a disappointment.
Several more minutes passed during which Sargon stepped through the blaze and began to make his way through the district of the Rukongai that he was currently in. Allowing his reiatsu to seep from his soul the heat continued to effect Soul Society around him. The stone ground burning the feet of citizens until eventually they all began to climb whatever they could. The smell of burned flesh rang throughout the air. Now there were at least half a dozen buildings throughout the small area that he had walked so far ablaze sending smoke signals high into the air. A part of the Tercera was wondering if perhaps the Shinigami were waiting for him to step into a certain area where they had a trap set.
Just when the idea of trying to find such a trap in the hopes that Soul Society might actually be good enough to pull something like that off he heard the sound of a feminine sounding male calling out his name in a most disrespectful manner. He wouldn't be able to find the Captain right away, but in order to find whoever was looking for him Sargon stepped towards the main street of the district and once there hopefully he'd find whoever had just called for him who was hopefully strong enough to entertain him for at least a few minutes.

”Yawn~”
The heat made July sleepy more than anything else, a wave of fatigue that rolled over him like the rising temperature. Finding Sargon was a trivial exercise - he was a point source in the middle of a hot area. Just follow the line of increasing temperature and then bam!, the game was up. But no-one played hide and seek just to show off where they were hidden… Well, maybe most people didn’t… Ok, July had done it once. Twice, perhaps. At most every time he had played hide-and-seek! At most, at most. July chuckled, walking calmly in the opposite direction to the Rukongai citizens - who were almost clambering over each other to escape the heat.
But now the heat source was moving towards him! How exciting~ Truly delightful. July would have to put on his best coat (he already had it on), his best shirt (that too) and his best shoes (also all in order - though the soles were starting to feel sticky with the heat). To receive a visitor properly one must always be prepared! And so, July was positively beaming when Sargon came around the corner, the Arrancar whose reiatsu was superheating the flimsy buildings around them. He did not look like the kind of man who would like a toffee. Far from it, in fact. He looked like he’d rather die choking on the toffee than eat. Or perhaps choke July on the toffee instead of eating it. Kinky~ July could think of worse ways to go than to be choking on toffee.
”Soso, Sargon-kun. Which deity do we have to thank for you gracing us with your presence today?”
July cocked his head, his golden hair flickering in the afternoon sun. His smile was large, and extremely genuine to the outsider. But of course July was actually performing some sophisticated calculations. Making an estimate of their relative strength, surmising Sargon’s possible strengths and weaknesses, making a cursory investigation of the surrounding environment and considering various courses of action. Of course, most of this information would have been rather worrying to another person. The Tercera Espada was surely a man worth fearing after all. But July was not so easily intimidated.
July would raise his hands, as if in welcome. But the gesture was not so innocent. Sargon probably would not notice in the heat that he himself was creating - atmospheric effects were distorting their vision quite considerably at this rate - but from July’s sleeve shot a dagger, thrown with far more force than the motion would suggest. It was weak, of course, but precise. July would not miss, even in these conditions. If Sargon refused to dodge or block, the dagger would certainly rupture his left eye. And that would have been an awful shame, wouldn’t it? Having both eyes was quite important. Especially when they were as beautiful as July’s were.

Walking from around the corner Sargon saw the Captain possessing blonde golden hair that was perhaps even longer than his own hair. The way that he was holding himself and the aura that he gave off was something that Sargon hadn't come across in possibly decades. From the first few moments of discovery Sargon could only come to a singular conclusion about this Captain. He has the aura of flamboyancy. The way that he moved himself, the manner by which he was looking at him, even the manner what which he began to speak everything felt like this Captain was similar to those that Sargon watched being executed so many centuries ago.
The words that actually left this Captain's mouth made Sargon feel a sigh coming over him. He had fought them in the passed and while some possessed strength most were a bore. Asking what sort of deity to thank for Sargon coming to Soul Society today. Such a question was tedious as would be this battle. Flipping his hair only continued to prove what Sargon already thought of this Captain. It would be better to simply kill this Captain now and progress closer to Soul Society where hopefully someone who could truly challenge him might appear to entertain him.
As Sargon began to focus his reiatsu which would cease the constant out-pour of its influence which was causing the heat. Everything that had already been effected would obviously stay the way that it was now yet the air would quickly start to return to norm. It wouldn't return in time enough that the Captain's attack wasn't already in motion. Sargon didn't have the fastest thinking mind of the Espada something that even he acknowledged yet he did have the brain of a trained, experienced warrior. Seeing the Captain raise his hand was enough to give Sargon the focus he would need to know that the Captain could be casting a spell or sending any sort of attack towards him.
A moment or two passed in the next few moments as the dagger was sent soaring through the rapidly cooling air between the Captain and the Esapda. The Tercera raised his left hand while focusing his reiatsu throughout his skin in order to shift his skin into something that he didn't think any Shinigami including a Captain would expect. The dagger would reach Sargon's left eye instead stabbing through the palm of his left hand that had been raised to block the dagger. The blade sank through reaching the hilt which was now covered in blood. Lowering his hand Sargon gave the Captain the same unending bored expression. "Is that all you can do? Little magic tricks with feeble weaponry. Nothing more than a bore."
Grabbing the dagger by the hilt with his right hand Sargon pulled it from his hand sending blood across his chest and the ground below him. His white uniform with a splattered line of blood across his chest now would shock most who could see this battle. An Espada had been harmed by a weapon? Why hadn't his Heirro prevented the dagger from harming him? Did he have a Heirro at all? There would be dozens of questions as to why he had been harmed by such a simple technique yet figuring out the true reason was soemthing that Sargon didn't believe anyone in Soul Society could figure out from what he had seen of them in the last few years.
"I suggest you run and get someone far more powerful than yourself." Sargon bent his right arm grabbing ahold of his Zanpakuto from behind his back and pulling it forward held halfway up the shaft by his right hand. The trident like spear hybrid of a weapon was something that would skrew the world as Sargon stepped forward towards the Captain. It was clear from his actions and words that Sargon in truth possessed no interest in facing off against this Captain. If the Captain thought on his words than perhaps he would realize that this was the only reason that the Tercera was in Soul Society. He was here to be entertained in battle. "If you plan to stay and fight then hurry it up and go Bankai already."

”Oh Sargon-kun, did you hurt your hand?”
There would be no warning for Sargon. Even those words would be spoken after the fact, giving no time to react. There wouldn’t even be a flash of Reiatsu for the Espada to pick up on, this was a technique based on the Life Force of the user after all. July didn’t even have to dip into his admittedly impressive pool. Of course, it was still nothing more than a parlour trick, but it would be at least an inconvenience. The weapons of Plasmatio were feeble, brittle even, but that belied their versatility. And their ability to play around a little. Just a teensy but more Life Force and boom, tentacles. Everyone’s favourite.
The small tentacles would infiltrate the wound, playing around with the muscles and ligaments, as well as snapping some of the smaller bones from within Sargon’s hand - July knew the locations like the back of his own hand (ha!). It was a simple exercise, a trivial dip into the vast pool of his anatomical knowledge. Of course, he was only thinking that he was doing this, of course. Perhaps this was all an illusion! Perhaps Sargon was wearing thick, blood-filled gloves and that he had not allowed the dagger to cut the skin at all! Either that explanation, or any of the hundred others July could produce, would render this attack immaterial. Even with a damaged hand though, Sargon would be able to crush the dagger with minimal effort - if he had not dropped it due to the structural damage done.
"Is that all you can do? Little magic tricks with feeble weaponry. Nothing more than a bore.”
”Hey! I like magic tricks, no need to be such a spoilsport.”
July crossed his arms, his lips pursed in a pout as he looked at Sargon through his light eyelashes. This kind of playacting was getting a little under the Arrancar’s skin, in more ways than one~ Oh no, he was drawing his weapon. A long spear too. Boooooo. Long spears were hard when one was stuck with puny little daggers like July’s. How sad, how sad. July drew his own Zanpakuto, the small bladed weapon dancing through his fingers and from hand to hand like it itself was alive. July was practically crackling with energy, in comparison to the dour, bored Sargon Denumic. Couldn’t he afford to lighten off once in his life? To blow off some steam. Silly Arrancar.
July did not need to think on the Espada’s words to work out what he wanted. That was an insult to the Squad 8 Captain. An insult and seven eighths. Maybe 2, if July was also having a bad hair day. Sargon was, as enigmatic as he might want to appear, as easy as an open book to read. The ones who thought they were enigmatic always were. Look at him, coming into the Rukongai making a scene, trying to draw out the competitors from the woodwork by smoking them out… Boring. Yawn. Fighting for fighting’s sake was barely entertainment. July would have to make it interesting…
"If you plan to stay and fight then hurry it up and go Bankai already.”
July’s eyes widened in mock surprise - not that Sargon would be able to tell it was mock, July was an excellent actor. He could, and he sort of wanted to… But Himitsu had given him a talk about using his Bankai. Something, something, pinnacle of Shinigami abilities… Something, something, shouldn’t be used to give dance lessons… Something, something, pride of the Kasumi’Oji… A load of baloney, that’s what it was. But he had promised, sort of, not to go giving it out so freely… What a pain, what a pain.
”Well then, sure! Ban -
Hehe, gotcha~ You’ll have to take me to dinner first, Sargon-kun! I’m really feeling paella at the moment, got any recommendations?~”
Life Force: 5900/6400: -200 to put tentacles on the Plasmatio dagger
Post by Sargon Denumic on Aug 17, 2018 22:13:39 GMT -5
Sargon gazed off to the side as if he was looking towards something that wasn't visible. It wouldn't matter if July realized what he was doing or not as the dagger that had penetrated through Sargon's hand sprouted tentacles that began to wiggly around through the wound snapping his bones and tearing apart his shallow flesh. Blood splashed from his hand to the ground below him yet Sargon didn't much in terms of pain. His facial features twitched slightly yet he didn't do anything to stop what July had just done. July was so into his little game that there was little chance he'd realize that Sargon was looking in the direction of the Division One barracks.
After another moment passed Sargon squeezed his left hand causing the dagger that July had created to shatter despite his mediocre physical strength. Flexing the reiatsu in his hand Sargon would cause the tentacles to be eviscerated if they hadn't disappeared once the dagger was shattered. "I've given you enough time. I was even merciful enough to give you a warning. Niceties are through now. Prepared yourself Captain. Time for you to disappear like a magic trick." Holding his zanpakuto in his right hand now Sargon took forward rushing the Captain while his zanpakuto was positioned in front of him across his front from shoulder to hip.
Sargon wasn't the fastest of Arrancar and he wasn't faster than this Captain in fact he was slower than him yet he was fast enough that closing the distance between the both of them would only take two, three moments tops. Sargon wouldn't attack when he reached the Captian though instead when he got within six feet of the most outwardly Captain he had ever seen Sargon thrust his zanpakuto forward allowing the shaft of the weapon to rush forward through his grip until he was almost holding the end. The thrusting attack would close the distance a few feet ahead of where the Captain would have expected perhaps catching him off guard yet that was unlikely.
Sargon although bored by the prospect of this Captain wasn't one to attack thoughtlessly. If he were to attack with any sort of reiatsu technique chances were that additional Shinigami would quickly rush to the battle. It was a difficult decision to make. Did he want to warm up against this Captain while he waited for others to arrive or did he want to simply stomp this infant from existence? Saving his reiatsu for the long haul at least for the moment Sargon placed his hands in the pool of additional entertainment choosing to stick to a physical approach at least for the moment. How the Captain would deal with the three blades of Sargon's zanpakuto along with the central blade in the center of the other three that extended even further than the others would be answered in the next moment.

Soooooooooooo slow. That was July’s assessment of Sargon, a dullard. He was probably intelligent enough - he knew where the Squad 1 barracks were anyway, so he at least had a sense of direction. And he had an analytic mind, that much July was certain of. But he just took an age to do anything. July felt like he could he track each an every motion of the Espada’s eyes as they trundled about, making sophisticated calculations. If Sargon was a pocket calculator, July was a supercomputer, and the Espada would have to do better than simply running at him in order to catch him off guard.
”Hado Number 41: Kanji Taiho”
Working out where he was going - simple. July had worked out his step length, and now the only thing left to do was to catch his speed, the final piece of the calculation. So, saying the incantation and working out where to make the magic happen could all be done simultaneously. For Sargon, there would barely be a moment to react - he had just wished blindly forward, after all. Avoiding this would take quick wits and reflexes, especially because it had been mostly set up while he was setting up his own attack. And when he put his foot down? Kaboom! Stone Pillar! The attack of 400 strength on the Espada’s leg would probably not do much damage, but it would certainly play havoc with his balance!
And July would certainly take the opportunity in his stride. Sargon would be thrown straight into the air - or at least carried 10 metres into the air - and then the pillar would disappear, dismissed as quickly as it had been summoned. Nothing more than a temporary aberration in the world, a distortion lasting only an instant! But that instant would of course, provide tremendous opportunity, as most instants do. Now was the time to strike! And strike he would! July would use Shunpo, shooting effortlessly below where Sargon had been launched, and crossing almost precisely to where Sargon had been before he began his attack.
Of course, this was more than just a fun game. For July had, before his step and after his Kido, formed another Plasmatio dagger, which he tossed directly up mid-step. Now, at this speed, even with his incredible skill in daggers, his aim would not be perfect - but he did have a specific place in mind. A shot from below on an Arrancar was tricky, there weren’t many openings in Hierro to exploit. But there was one, and that would be where July’s dagger hoped to land. And if it did land… Well, Sargon would probably not be able to move as fast as he once did. In fact, walking in general would be quite difficult - to say nothing of sitting. But what was it to July? He had no time for people with daggers up their butts!
”I’m afraid the Squad 1 Barracks are closed today, Sargon-kun! But you should swing by Squad 8 sometime! We’ll show you how to have a good time.”
July’s innocence smile belied his mischievous fighting style. But of course, he had a duty. To protect the Soul Society. Who said he couldn’t have fun while doing it?
Reiatsu: 6250/6400: -100 for Hado #41, -50 for Shunpo
{Hado Number 41}Technique Name: [Hado #41: Kanji Taiho (Stone Cannon)]
Class: [5]
Technique Type (Kido, Hollow/Arrancar Technique, Human World Dweller Technique, Other): [Kido]
Usable By (Technique is available to which races?): [Kido-using Races]
Technique Element: [Earth]
Technique Description and Effects (Explain appearance, powers, and effect):
This technique can be used in two ways. The first is offensive, allowing the user to make a pillar from the ground with no more than a diameter of one meter shoot up with a speed of 500. This would be difficult to dodge, for it not only moves at such a rapid speed but also comes from an unorthodox place to attack, the ground. The blunt rock pillars would be more than capable of bruising an opponent, or even breaking their bones. If a direct hit is landed, it could even throw the opponent into the air. The pillar strikes with the force of 400, despite the speed that it moves at.
However, Kanji Taiho also has the capacity to be a defensive technique. If the user braces him or herself and causes a pillar to shoot out of the ground from under his feet, he could be launched into the air without suffering any damage. This may be useful in dodging any attacks or generally getting the user out of a sticky situation, hence the technique’s name “Stone Cannon.” Each pillar can rise at a maximum height of 10 meters, though the user would be able to regulate the height as he pleases.
How to use technique (How is it activated?):
[Pay reiatsu cost and activate.]
Technique Drawbacks (Limitations, repercussions for use, etc)
Firstly, the user must pay the reiatsu cost for each pillar he causes to rise from the ground. Creating three pillars would require three times the reiatsu cost. In addition, the pillars cannot be created if they are more than 100 meters away from the user. Lastly, when used offensively, the pillars are not blunt, for the ground that they are used on is flat. Therefore, they cannot cut and only offer blunt attacks.
Incantation and Effect:
(Incantation allows the user to summon two pillars for the cost of one) “Wake, Gaia, for I command you to raise the pillars of your Capitol and dethrone all who oppose you. Stone will rain toward the sky.”

Step after step the distance between the Captain and the Espada grew smaller and smaller as the Tercera continued his charge towards the long wavy blonde shinigami with his zanpakuto. This action in all honesty was a ploy. Despite his lack of attention or perhaps interest was a better word in the Captain that was currently taking a stand against him Sargon rarely ever went head long into battle without thinking. This was simply a way to gather information on the captain. The ground beneath him extended upwards pushing his body up into the air with a sudden jerk. Although it was sudden and Sargon felt like a fair amount of the muscles in his legs had just been damaged. He was now soaring up in the air straight almost like a human riding an elevator on steroids.
Now was a good time to start putting in a bit more effort into this search for shinigami that could entertain him. It was possible that he could be snuck up on by an additional Captain of true might that could do some serious damage if he wasn't at least alert to his surroundings. So the Tercera activated Pesquis which brought to his attention even as he was still moving upwards that the Captain was now directly below him. Along with something coming up towards him fairly quick which Sargon could only assume to be either another dagger or a small kido. It didn't matter what it was for he wouldn't be in this spot for another moment.
Sargon has only reached about six meters into the air when he shifted the angle of his left hand and immediately a massive burst of what looked like cero was discharged from his palm. It was as if Sargon turned himself into a rocket as he was sent flying through the air at a much faster speed at an angle that would bring him behind the Captain. Moving downwards in the way that he was though it was like Sargon was simply falling from a great height now. There was just one major difference. Sargon was descending far faster than what would be achievable from a mere free fall. It would only be a moment before Sargon suddenly reached the ground. What came with him was his zanpakuto positioned vertically in front of him now with the staff kept tight between his arm and torso. As he reached the ground if July didn't move he'd find himself with a rather deep cut from his right shoulder down.
Whether or not it worked was of little importance as Sargon knew where July was and where he would go now and based on that he would face the Captain of the Eighth Division his trident kept in the same position of attention. "If you wish to have your barracks annihilated first then I suppose I can humor you. Just try not to die before it's gone otherwise it takes a lot of the meaning out of it." a garganta formed behind Sargon and it was clear what he was about to do. If July didn't stop him then he was going to simply go through and destroy the barracks before July could get there to stop him.
