RP Sample (Optional):Grains from the endless desert of Hueco Mundo danced under the moonlight tonight, pushed on by the winds cast by reiatsu explosions. It was a rare sight but it seems some Adjuchas decided to settle there dispute with violence and although both weak creatures, the even match between the too caused a drawn out and spectacular show. Thanatos sat at a distance, paint brush in hand as he observed the myriad of colors caused by explosions of Cero, the off-cast shadow from the light and the splatter of blood against pale sand.
It was truly a beautiful sight, the carnage and hatred melding together to form a painting so grandiose and natural that, a master artist even as he could only ever dream of coming to matching. But that wouldn't dissuade Thanatos from trying. Life is a constant struggle to improve upon one's faults after all and what is art but a beautiful representation of life? His piercing yellow eyes bounced back and forth from the clash in the sand back down to the parchment he held, his hand making rapid but precise strokes, every once and awhile dipping in a cup of water to rinse and replace with new color. The picture that was starting to form was a beautiful caricature of the battle. The claws and cero blast were exaggerated in this particular piece, giving the fight a much more intense visual impact, making those who view this picture think these creatures much more powerful than they actually are perhaps.
Lost in his own little world of art and joy, he was oblivious to the obvious danger, minute that it might be to a being such as him of the raging battle he witnessed. It was steadily growing closer and the two Adjuchas were too wrapped up in there own bitter rivalry to even realize the Arrancar was there in the first place. Too ignorant to there surroundings. Soon after as the clash drew closer, causing sand to be thrown further into the atmosphere of Hueco Mundo, an ill-fated Cero blast shot forth towards Thanatos.
He was far too engrossed in his own work to even notice, so was unable to move in time. The Cero blast impacted with explosive force right next to where Thanatos was sitting. Although his natural Hierro protected him from such a weak Cero blast, he could still feel the heat as the energy lapped at his skin. More importantly however, the art he had been working on and the supplies such as paint and brush were not so lucky to have a natural defense. They were turned to ash in an instant and Thanantos' hand was left drifting over nothing but air.
Slowly putting his hands down into his lap while a frustrated sigh escaped his lips Thanatos' attention turned fully to the two fighting creatures. Standing to his feet he allowed his Reiatsu to flare out in a burst to get the creatures attention. The two adjuchas assuredly could feel the gravitational field created by his power at this point and in doing so stopped the fighting immediately to instead turn and look at the Espada.
"Now that I have your attention" Thanatos started as he looked down to brush off some of the sand blow upon him by the two beast battle, as well as his right hand soothing stroking over the edges of his hollow hole, hidden underneath his white Espada uniform in an attempt to soothe his frustration. Suddenly his hands flew out to the side as he said at the top of his vocal range "Allow me to introduce myself my dear gentlemen, my name is Thanatos Maelthra and I am an artist who was observing your bout just now! Glorious, really such fantastic colors and melodies you two created.."
Thanatos' voice trailed off the end, hinting at a bit of sorrow his hands pulling into his chest with closed fist to further illustrate the point. He looked down at where his painting and supplies had once been, motioning his left hand to point at the area. "I was in the process of recreating it in a beautiful piece you see..But it seems one of you is...a brute." The last two words bathed in malice and accompanied by yet another release of his Reiatsu. Sighing and putting two fingers to the top of his head as he regains his momentary lost composure, Thanatos would continue
"Forgive me, I'm not one to lose myself like that generally, but the won-ton destruction of art is one of the few things I just find completely unacceptable. Not just my art, any art." Thanatos opened his eyes once more as he relaxed his posture again, moving his piercing gaze from one Adjuchas to the other. "One of you committed a heinous crime. Whoever fired that last Cero is solo responsible for the destruction of my beautiful art. Which one of you? Fess up now and justice shall be swift." Thanatos' eyes moved from one hollow to the other.
Neither were trying to make a move, more than likely fully aware of the situation they were in. The Adjuchas on the left was a tower 6'7" muscular and humanoid looking, only betrayed by it's elongated claws and shark looking mask. The one on the right looked like a bear, roaming around on all fours. Both of them had multiple burns and cuts from there extended fighting, neither one in particularly good condition, much less in good enough condition to stand up to an Arrancar of Thanatos' level. Even if they were fully healed it would be a hard fight for them, hopeless in this particular instance.
A few moments of frustrating silence passed as Thanatos' eyes darted from one to the other, his fingers stroking his chin as he pondered and thought about it. Suddenly he smiled and rolled his shoulders in a shrug, a slight chuckle escaping his lips. "Well, no matter. It's fine. Art, like life is beautiful but at times fleeting. So, I'll just make something new..something better." Thanatos spoke, his tone the same drawn out chill it always was as he began circling the injured Adjuchas hollows. The two of them looked at each other and started to chuckle out of relief, afraid they were about to have been killed. Perhaps deciding they should just cut there losses and take the good fortune, the two started to walk in separate directions, forgetting what they had been fighting about to begin with.
"Oh? Where are you two going? You're still responsible..you'll help me with my new piece of art. You should feel honored, it's rare I actually pick pieces out myself. You're going to help make Hueco Mundo a much more beautiful landscape." Thanatos said with a small smile as he moved his left wrist, shaking loose his sheathed Zanpakuto into his hand. What transpired next was over in an instant. Soft words muttered to release his powers and a few Sonido's later he had both of the injured hollows in the grasp of his white tendrils, plunged deep within there bodies and draining every ounce of there blood that they had.
He watched gleefully through his jester like mask as they writhed and exanguinated slowly. Due to there previous injuries they had no hope of resisting or escaping. They were gazels, trapped by a cheetah. The resulting piece was beautiful in Thanatos' eyes, naming it "Tree bloomed by moon" The two bloodless husk of Adjuchas were twisted together with there limbs sprawled to look like tree branches. Thanatos had planted them into the ground and used there own blood to draw apples hanging from the "branches" and fallen around the tree. His only regret was his sketchbook was destroyed so he couldn't copy this down for later enjoyment. "Beautiful.." Where his last words before finally deciding to head back towards Las Nochas, thinking as he walked, about what supplies he should pick up from the human world.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Appearance-
Height/Weight: 5'11", 150 pounds
Physical Description:
Before we get into how Ciel looks, let's discuss what it feels like to be in his presence or worse yet to be clashing against him in battle. First, if Ciel is ever exerting his spiritual pressure in large amounts to either show off or simply intimidate his enemy about their impending decimation, one would note right off the bat it does not have the shape and feel of what is considered normal. This is largely due to his aspect of hell and the fact his energy source is, in essence Tartarus itself. His exerted aura throws off heat like fire, even the way it shifts and dances around his body resembles it.
Also, if one was in close enough proximity to be heavily effected by the gravity well of his spiritual pressure they would also note that, while distant and almost towards the back of their mind would be the echos of the damned, screaming from their torture and deaths in Tartarus. This wouldn't cause any kind of effect in and of itself other than serve as a warning for what awaits them since they got their selves in this position against Ciel in the first place.
Beyond just that however in normal circumstances of if Ciel was just standing around or engaged in an unreleased fight what they see would be a creature that is both beautiful and terrifying all in one. On one hand you have a tall, built humanoid male with tight muscles and overall good looks. On the other you have his entire left side caked in black, almost metallic looking demonic features with his arm being that of a claw, strong enough to even clash against Zanpakuto. His visage is one that inspires both admiration and terror, a dangerous combination that is like fire to the curious moths. Now, unto the details of his actual looks.
Starting from the top we have Ciel's silken, Tartarus smoked black hair. All the black, none of the grease with a touch of that wonderful smell of burnt flesh and damnation flowing off of it. Ciel's hair has an ethereal like ability to avoid ever being straight and clean brushed yet some how avoiding the wonderful look of a hobo, although one would never know how if you looked at his daily self-care routine. Moving towards the back to accent this wonderful ball of silk are the first pieces of demonic infestion and corruption in the shape of black, metallic horns.
Angled back and harder than normal flesh these are in essence a concentrated version of Tartarus' darkness gathered and focused into focal points, drawn in by the power vacuum that was created when he first broke the mask. This phenomena also explains the rest of the demonic corruption across his otherwise immaculate figure, which we will get too momentarily. As we continue our study of this ravishing specimen we go down to the chest and abs, with a small detour at the neck.
Let me tell you about this body. These. Fuckin’. Abs. They’re so fuckin’ beautiful that Charlie Sheen would piss on them twice. Ciel worked for five centuries on these shiny abs. Theres one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight and more. More of these enviable pecs. He is trained and toned to perfection. They are the highlight of his torso. Despite the dark, obsidian and amber toned scaling flaring towards the back and up the arm, it is still considered relatively attractive.
All that fun aside however there is one, rather serious scar across his right pectoral, which edges dangerously close to Ciel's hollow. Carved into his flesh are the words "Tartarus" and darkness seems to slowly leak from it. Yet another "gift" from Lucifer personally. A binding curse and reminder of where he comes from and what his purpose in life is now. Rather Ciel enjoys it or not.
Ciel's arms are in much the same condition as his abs. Size of cannon balls, perfectly toned and looking like he could lean through a five inch thick brick wall. While his right arm looks perfectly normal with smooth soft toned skin, his left arm is an item of dark intrigue. The hand has been completely corrupted and changed into vicious dark claws with scales going up the back that are exceptionally similar to the aforementioned horns.
Continuing up the left arm the story is much the same with the entire limb up to the shoulder being toned Tartarus black. While the underside of the arm is relatively smooth skin and normal looking (color aside) the back of the arm is completely demonic. The scales from the back of the hand proceed up the wrist and back of the arm all the way up to the elbow. From that point on the scales turn into small to medium sized spikes that are peppered up the upper arm all the way unto the shoulder.
This corruption even continues into the back-left side of his body with a particularly nasty spot being right under the left armpit. The corruption is spiked and raised exposing alien looking flesh underneath which is lit up with pulsating hellfire. Needless to say this makes him rather easy to see in the dark. Furthermore the fire is very real, when people get close to him they will feel this heat. If they were to embrace Ciel for whatever reason it would be hot to the touch, although not enough to hurt, more like holding a hot cup of coffee. Ciel's body absorbs most of this heat.
Finally, of course saving the best for last; Ciel's eyes. Straight and neatly combed over eye brows, natural long lashes that many women would kill for and set in a slight slant that give the appearance of a natural glare, even when at a neutral position. Add to that, his irises glow a bright orange which shine in the darkness, presumably caused by the hellfire which burns within his sides. This gives Ciel a very piercing gaze even when he doesn't mean to do so, the kinda that seems to look straight through your soul.
Finally we come to what he chooses to wear which really isn't much. Ciel remains shirtless, mostly due to the fact of his demonic spikes making finding any kind of form fitting clothes nearly if not totally impossible. However he does often have a cloak about twice his size on, billowing behind him and with hood up. Although there is no real way of hiding what he is, it makes him feel more comfortable..more human to have his nasty features hidden. Although it'll never stop those glowing eyes and side from shining through.
The cloak is simply plain and dark colored, nearing the realm of a dark blue more than black with no special trimming or anything particularly distinct. Ciel's pants are simply darker blue cargo pants, held together by a dark red double wrapped belt. Finally, we have the defining edition to any Akki or sinner: The hell chains. These wrap around his waist and both his arms, allowing Ciel to manipulate them rather easy for attack and defense. If taken out to there max length however one would find it wraps primarily around his demonic left arm, sealing it for the time being.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Personality-
Dislikes:
1.) Hollows: Ever since Lucifer decided to return Ciel's humanity and memories to him, he has been constantly tormented by the things he had done. Him being devoured, murdering his wife for food and all the twisted things that had happened to him and that he himself has done as a hollow and Arrancar. This has lead to a deep seated hatred towards all hollows himself included, which shows itself in his masochistic fighting style. He likes pain because he deserves it.
2.) Couples:Due to the loss of his wife at his own, maddened hands Ciel can't stand the sight of anything that reminds him ever so painfully of what he had taken away from him and this manifest itself most notably in seeing couples together. He'll often lash out violently, not out of hatred per-say but at an attempt to violently erase what he lived through. It never works.
3.) Flowers: The scent of flowers, yet another reminder of a past long gone and love long lost. Poinsettias, especially as they were his wife's favorites. For some, comforting memories. For Ciel, sheer agony.
4.) Freedom: For someone who is eternally damned, so much so that their own minds become the personal jailer, freedom stops becoming a goal and quickly becomes an object of envy and hate. Jealousy of what he can never have and hatred for those who could never understand.
5.) Disrespect for Art: Specifically those who arrogantly mock fine art or worse yet desecrate it. Ciel's passion for art is something that has carried through all of his lives. From his human days as Michael to his Arrancar days as Thanatos and to the damnation he currently endures. It is one of the few if not only passion that managed to stay within his twisted being and even that passion isn't completely untainted.
6.) Sleep: Although he doesn't explicitly hate it sleep more often then not tends to lead to vivid dreams. Even the refreshing safety of his own sleep has been taken from him. However, on the occasional dreamless night Ciel finds true, yet momentary peace.
7.) Coffee (taste): Even in life Coffee has always been a double edged sword for Ciel. Smell is one thing but the taste..He never could stand the bitterness. Perhaps even more so now that his own life has become as muddy and bitter as the drink itself.
8.) Hopeless Sinners: Ciel has a specific disdain for any of those sinners who have simply given up all hope and willingly sink to the deeper depths of hell. He finds them writhing and pathetic. He hypocritically hates the reflection they cast while also envying the small freedom that complete abandonment offers.
9.) Lucifer: The single target of all his combined rage, rather human or hollow. Forgetting your past life when you die and move on rather it be peaceably or forced by hollowfication, is a mercy. When Lucifer decided to return such things to Ciel as a "gift" to further torture him through damnation, he struck a truly low and unfathomably powerful blow. Ciel owes all that he currently is to Lucifer and would adore nothing more than to return that favor bone by bone, joint by joint to him. No matter the impossibility of the goal.
10.) Arrogant Sympathy: Nothing rubs salt in ever fresh cuts than the sympathy of someone who simply could never understand what you're going through, to be seen as some pathetic wounded animal that is so far below you that you wish to care for it. Few things carry such a sting or induce Ciel's anger than this. The truth hurts.
11.) Arrancar: Above all hollows the Arrancar hold a special place of disdain for Ciel. Not only are they the distasteful lot that ultimately sent Ciel spiraling into the depths of hell, they insulted his artistic work across Hueco Mundo in the process and teamed up on him like cowards. The ranks matter little to Ciel. Rather it be the weakest 999th to the strongest 1st. Killing them would be..pleasurable.
12.) Demons: Something twisted and terrible beyond what any Sinner is. Even the weakest of demon kind prove a large challenge to fight off and would easily overpower your average sinner. The stronger ones approach strength that is simply unimaginable to most. Ciel learned to hold a special hatred and fear of these creatures in his time in Tartarus. Also, a strange respect.
13.) Releasing: Although releasing is required for him to fight, Ciel isn't a fan due to the effects it has on him both physically and mentally. Throw in the addicting effects and there should be no surprise as to why Ciel dislikes it
14.) Hueco Mundo: It's sand, more sand and a little more sand on top of that along with a empty night sky with a never changing moon. In short, it's completely boring and lacks any artistic inspiration. He doesn't hate it but..Ciel certainly doesn't enjoy it either.
15.) The Segunda Espada: A childish brat who likes to think herself his superior while calling him things like fracction. Also calls him a werecow. What in the fuck is a werecow?
16.) Selfish Pricks: Selfishness, no matter the race is one of the single most disgusting traits anyone could possibly have.
17.) Lemonade stands: Because they foretell a terrible future of loud, agonizing and air headed antics. He loves Lemonade though.
18.) Rain: Rain reminds Ciel of the night his wife was killed, the time he was turned. Unpleasant memories with every droplet.
19.) Rap: Of all the modern musical advancement, the only one Ciel finds completely juxtaposed to is this thing called...Rap. From what Ciel can tell it lacks any talent beyond reading a Thesaurus to a basic beat.
20.) Bullies: Simple and straight, Ciel has always hated those who bully people weaker than they are. Now granted, sometimes the killing of those below your station can't be avoided. But there is a difference between that and tormenting for fun. This is something that just makes Ciel's blood boil.
Likes:
1.) Art: Just as in life and in hollowification, Ciel has always been fascinated and in love with the arts. Nothing has changed. It's one of the few things that can still calm him and help him hold onto his slipping humanity.
2.) Physical Exercise: Yet another thing that helps distract Ciel from his own mind and the things he has done, seen and gone through. Physical workouts help distract.
3.) Shinigami: Although he wouldn't hesitate (because he isn't allowed too) to fight one, the fact is Ciel has a pretty deep running respect for the Shinigami. He has seen both sides of the fence as human, hollow and now Akki. Because of this he has a good understanding of the cycle and their work. The suffering they relieve.
4.) Watching movies: Yet another way for him to relax and feel more human. Even beyond that they're just entertaining in his down time, specifically the slower mysteries.
5.) Le Cordon Blu: It was his favorite meal as a human and now that Ciel has got his memories returned to him it turns out it remains his favorite still. Although it is tricky to obtain human food when you're a hostile power such as he, when he manages it, it is a treat.
6.) Pain: Ironic, perhaps but after so many years of being tortured pain has started to become cleansing penance. From what Ciel has observed this is not entirely uncommon for anyone who has been trapped in hell for a very long and if asked, he reckons it is a mechanism developed to try and cope with the trauma.
7.) His wife: Although memories of her are extremely painful for him and are even used to torture him, the fact is Ciel still is deeply in love with his wife. Some things can never be changed, even after so many years.
8.) Winning: The fact is, Ciel loves coming out on top in a fight. He loves winning in everything he does. The rush of endorphins when he dominates an opponent in some task is an addiction. Although it does disgust him when he feels so good after killing someone.
9.) Samurai/History: Ciel had always been an Astute student of history, he used many periods of history as inspiration for his art as a human. However he has a particular fascination with the age of Samurai. Rather it was the artistry of the sword or the oaths of honor they uphold, something is mesmerizing to Ciel.
10.) Internet: Not something he was familiar with back when he was human but it's served to be both entertaining and rather useful for finding media that would be otherwise difficult for him to obtain.
11.) Books: The most timeless form of art and history, escape and pleasure. Books are magical, something that Ciel views as a form of divine creation. It's the one way humans can tread on the toes of gods. Self education and escapism all in one, what more could he ask for?
12.) Sparring: The single most effective way to workout and explore what his body can do in actual combat, without the involved death and anger. Also gives Ciel a chance to interact with people who might otherwise avoid him.
13.) Talking: Something that most take completely for granted, Ciel simply loves to talk and hang around, when he is in full control of himself. Nothing makes him feel more human and more importantly accepted. However, as one can imagine conversation is scarce in hell. With how he looks now, few would speak to him. But still. it is something he loves.
14.) The Segunda Espada: It's a very love/hate thing. Despite her qualities that annoy the ever living Tartarus out of him, her distinct innocence, despite her power even more so, is attractive to Ciel's human side. Although unsure what she is to him just yet, he can't hate her..completely.
15.) Soul Society: Although he hasn't seen it he has heard depictions of it and what he hears Ciel loves. While it might seem odd, similar to his appreciation for the Shinigami, it's due to the architecture. It's much more pleasant to the eyes and Ciel wishes to see it for himself one day.
16.) Painting: Of all his artistic taste, painting is still something Ciel has a talent for and it is overall one of his favorite pass times.
17.) Maps:Studying the maps and geography of various places is fun for Ciel. Not only is it useful information but it also helps Ciel get used to the changed landscape over the past hundreds of years.
18.) Punishing the Espada: One of the few jobs he was given he has enjoyed very thoroughly. Part of the Envainar's job is to keep the Espada in line, to act as their sheath. He draws enjoyment from performing those duties.
19.) Walking the halls of Las Nochas: Movement is freedom and freedom is good. The plain white and clean halls of Las Nochas are almost maze like in there stature, not to mention the sleeker than marble look is of artistic interest to Ciel. He still doesn't know exactly how the palace was constructed.
20.) Cheesecake: The weakness he has in terms of sweets. Cheesecake. It's not that he likes it, he really doesn't. But, his wife used to make it..Sometimes that's enough.
Flaws:
1.) Self hatred: Ciel struggles bad with his pity and self hate. He can't get over what he did as a hollow, especially the killing of his wife. Even worse he struggles with the grey morality he's been forced into by his circumstances. It all bothers him and he can't help but resent his very existence. It's a sever form of depression, at this point.
2.) Lacks self control: Ciel has a hard time keeping himself under control, mostly his violent tendencies. His violent hollow nature rages inside him still, those desires are not gone. Now however it fights against his regained humanity resulting in a violent inner power struggle. It's why if he gets hurt enough he ends up losing control.
3.) When you're a hammer: Everything tends to look like a nail. While Ciel's ability to be anayaltical on a battlefield is exceptional and noted, his power has made critical thinking in heated moments exceptionally difficult. It's not that he's stupid or incapable it's simply that instincts have taken over.
4.) Suicidal/Apathetic: Due to Ciel's depression and suicidal outlook (even though he is incapable of doing so) he tends to give up rather easily if things start to go south. Although if it is dangerous his body will be compelled to action rather he wanted it or not, mentally speaking he just doesn't see the point. Ciel's head is incapable of seeing the upside sometimes.
5.) Rage: When Ciel finally does lose control (or his humanity is stripped by his releases) he enters into a demonic rage. His ability to tell friend and foe apart is gone and his only goal is to destroy everything with a heartbeat around him. He generally won't be able to stop unless he falls unconscious, dies or kills his targets.
6.) Slow to trust: Due to Zenkai's betrayal, Ciel's ability to trust in hollows or anyone really has been greatly diminished. Although he is fully capable of being civil with people, for him to actually put his trust into someone else at this point will be a slow and dragged out process. A breach of such trust might end up...deadly
7.) Overconfident, sometimes: Ciel can, at times be overconfident. Especially against foes who take him lightly in his sealed form and think they've got the upper hand. Ciel tends to judge their power rather quickly and doesn't always factor in the fact they too might be holding fact, assuming them arrogant. His own arrogance in this matter can, at times come to bite him. However, to those who take him seriously he tends to treat them with the same caution and respect.
8.) Hard headed: Ciel, after everything he has been put through has become extremely set in his ways for better or for worse. Changing his mind about anything would be a challenge although not entirely impossible. This can, for obvious reasons lead him into one or two bad situations.
Habits:
1.) Favor's left side: Due to the demonic transformation of his left side when unreleased, Ciel has become accustomed to using it most in combat. While he has adapted well enough to us either arm pretty freely, he can't help but show some slight favoritism in his strikes to his left.
2.) Pulls his hood down: Anytime he enters an area with people he isn't particularly familiar with, Ciel instinctively pulls the tip of his hooded cloak down to try and further obscure his features. He hates what he is, what he looks like because of the demonic corruption and everything else. He can't help but be unconsciously nervous of judgements.
3.) Chivalrous: When Ciel was alive he was brought up in a poor but polite home. He learned manners and his body hasn't forgotten them just yet. Due to this he does many small things for the other sex out of a degree. As an example, pulling out chairs or holding the door open for people.
4.) Entrapment: Something that becomes obvious to anyone who fights Ciel multiple times, is that they might notice a repetive stratagy that is common in his ability to ensnare, trap and counter attack the enemy.
5.) Hums songs: If alone, bored with very little else to do, it is not entirely uncommin for Ciel to start humming songs and tunes he grew up with. The good kind of memories.
.6) Tunes Asuka out: A habit that will very rapidly develop after meeting the infamous Segunda Espada. He'll flow in and out of her conversations only paying attention in small bits here and there.
.7) Studies his enemies: Ciel has become a master at examining the techniques (Battle analysis) used against him in the heat of battle and thanks to his general resilience, he has become accustomed to studying attacks, there effects and how they work so that he can figure out the best way to counter attack.
.8) Entranced by music: Simply put if someone is playing music, especially if it's some kind of original piece Ciel will listen very intently. Few things are more artistically inspiring to him than new sounds of music.
Fears:
1.) Dying: Despite his wish for death, Ciel fears dying. He fears it because he knows death can never truly claim him again and if he became a corpse now all he would accomplish is becoming the personal play thing for Lucifer and that is the kind of
2.) Lucifer: Although he is in many ways Ciel's final goal, he would be foolish not to fear him. What he did to him, so effortlessly was something Ciel will never be able to forget. He had never felt that powerless before.
3.) Losing himself: Ciel fears that one day he will lose his humanity entirely once more, as he did when he became a hollow. He fears the memories will leave and that he will become little more than a monster with no way to return back to what he once was.
4.) His wife: or to be exact, memories of his wife maid manifest by hell to be used against him as part of his torture. Ciel still adores his wife so the things she said to him in those visions, the things they made him watch himself do to her. It's become something he's terrified of. Even pictures of her become hard to look at.
5.) Spiders: What needs to be said? Didn't like him in life, didn't like em as a hollow and he doesn't like em now. Completely irrational all considered but they still scare the crap out of him. Although now he is more likely to blast one then freak out about it. Can't be scared of a crater.
6.) Falling to his addiction: Plain and simple, perhaps his single greatest fear is giving into the intoxicating effects of his releases. He fears it because he knows he isn't strong enough to resist it forever and when he does his humanity will be abandoned forever. The inevitability is scarier than death.
7.) Losing a friend: Although he hasn't got one yet, the only thing he fears more than simply trusting someone, would be finally losing the person he trusted. To break through that shell is exceptionally hard for Ciel. To lose something that special would be devastating emotionally.
Goals:
1.) Revenge vs Lucifer: Perhaps being considered his Ultimate goal, Ciel wants to exact a coming revenge on Lucifer. Thanks to the words carved into his chest by him dying has become a very difficult thing to do. So now there is only time. Time to train. Time to think. Time to plan. If Ciel can't die and rest peacefully as he wished then he will find a way to do the next best thing. Destroy his tormentor. A seemingly impossible task...for now.
2.) Organize other Envainar: No matter how powerful Ciel is, the fact is to pull of anything grand he will need help. It's one of the reasons why, despite his hate for Hollows or Arrancar he chose to join an orginization under the perview of Las Nochas' king. It's because they're strong. Ciel plans to slowly fill it's ranks and usurp it's power, turning it into it's own entity or perhaps starting another organization. Either way Ciel will need reliable people for the future. Powerful ones. But before he can do this, he must master himself.
3.) Acceptance: This is a goal that Ciel would probably not admit he is working on because it is of a huge personal nature that would change the very fondation of how his personality currently works. That is, the acceptance of his situation, what has happened to him and what he has done. The simple fact is, Ciel is not as strong as he could be and his emotional state is the reason why. Before Ciel can properly take care of anything large he wants to do his top priority need to be himself.
4.) Obtain a friend: Something so simple and so overlooked by so many, the fact is his human side craves companionship although he strives to not show it on many levels. Someone, anyone he can learn to lean on or trust would be of a big step towards personal improvment. However, considering what happened with his last friend, Zenkai, opening his heart to that kind of vulnerability again will be a very difficult step.
5.) Tell her sorry: A simple wish that perhaps everyone can relate too, Ciel wishes to find his wife, track her down and tell her how he feels. That he is sorry. If she has been reincarnated already, that might make this goal impossible. However, if she is still in soul society, some place...some place he can find and search. Then maybe he can put his demons to rest...but...at what potential cost?
6.) Break his addiction: Someway, anyway. Ciel wants, no, needs to find a way to overcome and resist the addiction of using his release. He can't allow himself to abandon his humanity and become nothing more than monster in Lucifer's service. There has to be another way, anyway and Ciel is desperate to figure it out. Perhaps someone in Las Nochas or Seireitei will know.
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral/evil (Depends on who's dominant. His hollow or Humanity)
Aspect of Hell: Tartarus
Overall Personality:
Ciel has a fair chaotic and shifting personality and opinions will vary wildly depending on what lens one chooses to view and interact with him in. From an outsiders perspective for example they might they might see a powerful but lonely being, thrown into a situation he never asked for and left alone to become reclusive and withdrawn. In many ways this is true as well. After so many years of fighting in Tartarus the violence and power he obtained through it became Ciel's only friends, the only thing he could hope to trust.
However his Humanity which Lucifer returned to him is ultimately what kept him sane. With every thing hell threw at him it made him stronger and tried to knock him lower down into the depths of despair and the fact is, it did most of the time. However Ciel always found some way to rebound, crawling back from the depths of the mud and pushing forward towards whatever his goal is at the time. That is why from a purely outsiders perspective he might seem stoic and strong, something some might even be envious of, even if ignorantly so.
Someone who view's Ciel as an enemy however would probably view him something akin to a Reaper. Not a shinigami like those of the Seritie mind you but a reaper from human lore. A monster, devoid of human emotion, an unstoppable natural force that sweeps through and harvest souls like simple grain. For people in this perspective would find it hard to notice anything other than the demonic side to Ciel.
All they would know is his destructive side, they might even consider him pure evil because they have no understanding of his motivations and Ciel isn't one to casually explain his life story. The truth to all this is, like most things though, some place in the middle. The fact is, when Lucifer granted Ciel's memories and humanity back to him as to better torture him, it split his personality in a fierce way.
On one hand you have his Human self, Michael. Everything and everyone he loved, his ideals, politics, hopes and dreams. A simple man who loved his wife first and art second. He just wanted to live a normal and happy life, he was very soft and kind to those he met and treated everyone he met with respect. While he wasn't perfect and had a bit of a temper at times while also being easily frustrated with his own work, he was overall a good person.
On the other hand you have the hollow Thanatos, what Michael became after he was devoured. A monster driven only by it's hunger. It fed, killed and destroyed it's way through the hellish landscape of Hueco Mundo. A psychotic caricature of his artist passion being used to twist and kill those around him for power. His complete anthesis. Both of these personalities are still present within Ciel.
Both wage a war of control. Michael, controlling the mind and attempting to keep control of the body while his hollow Thanatos dominates his instincts and fighting spirit. The body doesn't so easily unlearn hardened tactics forged over hundreds of years after all. This contradictory nature has lead Ciel to become a silent thinker, someone always wrapped in his head, attempting to retain what little he has left.
He hates himself for becoming what he did and can't seem to accept that even though it wasn't his choice, that his hollow did evil things, including killing and eating his beloved wife. Ciel views himself as his own enemy in many ways, resulting in a catastrophic amount of mental stress. If not for the symbol on his chest preventing it, he very likely would have ended his own life by now.
When it comes to down and out of combat time, Ciel tends to present himself rather positively. Although he is very recluse currently due to his appearance and what he is in general, if someone went up and chatted with him they would find that overall Ciel is surprisingly nice. He tends to be a free spirit and will do whatever pops into his mind to distract or entertain himself. In fact if anyone could break through his initial wall which is almost similar to shyness then they would disover Ciel could even become friends with them, relatively easily.
In battle Ciel tends to be reluctant to actually fight, at least at first. This is even shown and carried over in the fact that upon releasing his Primera that his defensive crystal activates instantly, preventing him from moving and simply acting as a barrier to separate Ciel from the enemy. The fact is Ciel has no desire to cause people harm and if it's a pointless fight then he has no interest in it.
However, this drastically changes upon one of a few conditions being met. 1st.) It's a fight he wants or is being forced to partake in by a higher power (such as Lucifer or the king of Las Nochas.) While he might not like these higher powers, orders are orders and in the case of Lucifer he truly has no choice to obey the command. 2nd.) Ciel is forced to release into one of his forms. 3rd.) if Ciel gets badly wounded prior to releasing at all.
Once one of these things happen, Ciel's approach and demeanor change drastically changes and his perhaps some what hidden prowess for combat will come to light. He becomes extremely focused and analyzes whatever the enemy might throw at him, able to study and break down the mechanics behind a skill after a single viewing (master battle analysis.) He uses this knowledge and other changing factors of a fight to come up with an idea to (in a perfect scenario) entrap, ensnare and dispose of his enemy.
While he remains unreleased or released in his Primera or Segunda, Ciel still has the ability to show mercy and unless required or if he sees someone as too much of a threat, he will probably try to beat not kill them. Luckily he still has the humanity to allow such things at this point. But if Ciel breaks into his third transformation then that option goes out the window. Not only is the enemy probably to dangerous to keep alive if it warrants that level of response but his empathy at that point, is dead.
Ciel's human side is so weak in his third and fourth release that all he can do is barely keep control of himself to not going into a killing spree and depending on how the fight goes, even that could fail resulting in him entering a berserk status. Should Ciel ever be forced to release his Cuatro however, his trump card all that goes out the window. His humanity is no more, locked away at the deepest part of his soul in this final release. Only Tartarus and the demon remains.
His personality at this point is that of an efficient killer, ironically holy in the fact he is driven by an instinct to cleanse and purge the sin of those around him through the methods of hell. His voice will find no one for he has no voice. There is only the battle, the cleansing, the drive. There are only three outcomes at this point. Ciel runs out of Reiatsu and passes out. Ciel dies. The enemy dies. Needless to say, it is not a choice of first resort and something Ciel would only do reluctantly.
But there is an upside to these transformations, outside of the power granted that could soften Ciel's reluctance as time passes and that is the fact as his humanity slips away with each further release, as does his mental anguish. This makes the desire to use the power and to keep using it extremely addicting. Think of the first time a drug users pops heroine in a time of utter need and defeat, the release they feel from their worries. It's an effect of that magnitude and also, by lucifer's design part of his torture.
Ciel can resist for awhile but the more he is forced to use power the weaker his will becomes. Eventually, it will be something he resorts to rapidly and with glee. It's at this point Ciel will have abandoned his humanity to hell and will finally become the lapdog that Lucifer wants. It's also Ciel's greatest fear.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Powers-
Fighting Style: Ciel has two goals when he fights. To kill his enemy and if possible die with them. Due to the branding and decree by Lucifer, Ciel is unable to take his own life by any means, including taking a lethal attack freely. If he tries to his body will become not his own and preserve himself, by any means. Ciel's only hope is to be killed in combat by an enemy more powerful than he is and this manifest in his highly aggressive combat style. Ciel prefers to get up close and personal as much as possible, to smash and rip his enemy apart with deadly efficiency.
He's even willing to toughen out the pain of an attack if possible if it means hitting through it will hurt his target. He can take the pain after all, he's suffered much worse for so many long years. However, it would be incorrect to compare him to some mindless brute, slashing about in a blind hope to kill his enemy. Ciel is far more calculated and is constantly observing the movements and attack patterns of his enemy. The more he studies, the better he can predict there reactions, find their weaknesses and exploit them for victory. A tactician with brutal execution.
This is however only true if the fights are short, unfortunately. Ciel, thanks to his memories returning to him has two distinct sides raging within him. That of a mild mannered human artist who has been forced into an unfair situation, who simply wants to end his suffering and that of a crazed demonic artist who wishes to paint the sands of Hueco Mundo and all of creation in his bloodied art pieces.
As a fight goes on and Ciel takes more and more damage, especially if he happens to release into one of his Saisei Oni states, he will start to lose grip on his humanity as the pain and agony excites his wild side and he will begin to lose himself. Pain will start to become a source of pleasure and once precisely aimed strikes will shift to something much less accurate but far more destructive as his ability to care about collateral damage wanes.
The more he slips into this momentary madness the more like the very demons of Tartarus he becomes and once he is fully consumed he will not stop until he either loses consciousness or everything within the immediate vicinity has been reduced to lifeless wasteland. This makes him reckless, unpredictable and extremely dangerous. Although there is no current precedent for it currently it is not entirely impossible that someone through powers or by some miracle a close relationship could speak to his humanity and bring him back to his senses.
This will be notably harder the more he releases his Saisei Oni however. Due to what his aspect, Tartarus, represents the further he is consumed by the harder it will be to reach him. It should also be noted that Saisei Oni releases starting at the third release and up develop an almost independent personality from the soft humanity that most would come to expect from Ciel, due to how far he has been enveloped by Tartarus.
The corruption, temporary loss of his humanity and slipping close to the demons that serve Lucifer is a powerful force and not something Ciel can yet fully control. Not only that, it is intoxicating because losing his humanity also spares him, in a small part, of some of his pain. Because of this repeated releases at a higher state could start to become like a drug for Ciel, resulting in a type of addiction.
Beyond that when it comes down to specific use of weapons and body it varies pretty drastically between his Saisei Oni releases due to how drastically they shift his body and even change the type of weapon being used. However when it comes to his base form, Ciel specializes in close combat, using his demonic right arm as his main weapon. Although he primarily focuses on strikes and slashes with the claws on his hand, he often will manipulate sinner chains with his left hand to try and entrap the enemy in some way or prevent them from escaping to keep the fight going into his favor.
Although he does know ranged techniques Ciel doesn't favor them and tends to use them more in tandem with his close quarters preferences to minimize the fighting arena when possible or cut off escapes. As mentioned before, although how he fights specifically changes from release to release, the general ideas still carry over. Ciel is always a close range fighter and he will use what he can to not only keep them close but attempt to entrap them as well.
Saisei Oni Overall Ability:
Ciel's aspect of hell is Tartarus, a endless abyss of a prison infested with hell demons and even home to the greatest fiend of all, Lucifer. This aspect is something that goes beyond being a simple spiritual base of which his powers developed but thanks to Lucifer has also become a physical brand which he carries upon his chest. Hell always follows in Ciel's wake and his Saisei Oni represents the deepest and most evil section of hell in all it's aspects. With each release of his Saisei Oni, Ciel is giving in little by little to the powers found within Tartarus, almost as if sacrificing his humanity to demonic possession was the key to his power.
With each stage he becomes a little less human and takes a step closer to the beast that roam, rave and pillage for all eternity the unlucky souls who Tartarus traps. Ciel's first release is a representation of Tartarus as an inescapable prison. He becomes encased with a crystallized version of hellfire, trapping and binding him to a larger crystal, preventing him from moving. While his sinner chains take on a new form and act as a defensive weapon on the outside of this crystal cocoon which he controls through simple mental commands, all he can really do is struggle to survive. Despite how it appears however, this form servers as a necessary catalyst for what is to come.
When Ciel has taken enough punishment or fighting someone who's power simply demands an answer beyond what his Primera Etapa will offer, he will begrudgingly enter into his second form. The darkness of Tartarus seeps into him further, stripping away his human appearance all together and leaving him as a artistic caricature of his inner humanity, slowly being burnt away by hell's fires. His former crystallize defenses harden into the shape of flowers while his binding weapons take the place of numerous fleshy tendrils.
His power shifts to be much more offensive focused as he is now able to return to his normal fighting style, albeit much more deadly. As his humanity gets buried deeper into his psyche by the darkness of Tartarus however, his style shifts to that more demonic approach. While he still maintains some control, it still is noticeable in his inability to quote unquote pull his punches anymore. Once measured strikes are replaced by full powered blows. As he approaches closer to the demonic inhabitants of Tartarus he also gains new powers, a special variant of hellfire that burns as black as Tartars' darkness and claws which can slice the air itself.
This process continues for every release. The previous powers becoming even more potent, more refined and much more deadly while obtaining a new body and powers to match it with each step taking him closer and closer to the visage of a true demon worthy of Lucifer's army. A small part of Tartarus exist within Ciel's body at this point and everything he does to grasp at more power pulls from that. The further he goes the more his essence is infused with that place.
His greatest time of torment goes onto fuel his powers in ways he could never imagine and it is increasingly intoxicating to his personality. The further he goes and the more often he does will start to change his personality, just as Lucifer hoped it would. Ciel only has two destinies before him. Be destroyed and live life as nothing more but an essence that embodies pain and suffering, under Lucifer's direct will. Or slowly become a power addicted and loyal dog.
Ciel's Cuatro release has a special place worth mentioning as well due to how it effects him. His humanity at this point is gone. Ciel, in his final state of release is in many ways pure, for there is only a demon of Tartarus left. Due to this the normal black, tainted looking energy takes on the look of a bright white Reiatsu. Purity is pure rather it is pure evil or not. However unlike something that is holy which would radiate positive emotions and light, one would note that the light seems to slightly warp around this strange Reiatsu and the feeling it gives off is an absolute sickening feeling in the pit of one's stomach. Ciel at this point only has one goal.
The complete destruction of humanity and carrying out Tartarus' and hell's punishment of sin. Only wiping out all opposition in the area or knocking himself out due to Reiatsu drain (assuming he isnt killed or knocked out by another source) will stop Ciel at this point. It is a special state of pure demonic being.
Saisei Oni Appearances:
Primera Etapa:
In his first release Ciel embodies his aspect of hell in a very literal sense. His body becomes encased in hellish orange crystal which encroaches upon his body, completely sealing his legs off. Around him in a small area the crystal further forms until he is completely encased with his arms tied by crystal strands. Immobile and trapped without hope of escape while stuck with a frightful visage, he awaits the punishment he deserves, to cleanse his soul and it only makes him stronger.
Usefully though it also allows him to avoid direct combat for a bit, something he isn't a fan of in many cases. As mentioned earlier if he doesn't have to fight he will do what he can to avoid and simply dissuade it. This goes release is perfect for that, a warning shot if you will.
Segunda Etapa:
Entering Segunda Etapa has two different effects, depending on if Ciel is entering it from his Primera or jumping straight to it. If entering from Primera Etapa, his hellish crystalline prison will crack and shatter around himself creating a pattern similar to that of a flower. As for Ciel himself, the cocoon of crystal will break apart and shatter as Ciel fights his way out, emerging in his new form. If going straight to Segunda however he will be wrapped in what looks to be hellfire for a few moments before similarly emerging from it.
This new body is something closer to that of a demon's. While Ciel keeps a humanoid shape his skin has been replaced by what looks to be flower petals, layered over each other as if armor or muscle. On the right of his back Ciel has a single wing which is also covered in the flower like material, however the upper portion looks like burnt trendily flesh. It appears as if it was roasted and forcibly stripped away. He also has a notable stump where the left wing should be. His chest and down to his waist (both front and back) also look stripped of flesh with ribs exposed and where his hollow hole once was, now reside a core of pulsing hellfire which cast visible trails as he moves.
Upon close inspection however it is easy to note that something is covering the exposed area, it is however translucent. When he speaks, no mouth moves although his voice echoes out from his being and is heard as normal. Despite his Visage however, most of his humanity remains and Ciel remains in solid control. Body burnt, soul in-tact.
Tercera Etapa:
When entering Trecera Etapa Ciel must further surrender his being and humanity to his aspect of hell, allowing that pit of darkness to further mold and transform him. His being becomes wrapped in the darkness of Tartarus and when it dissipates he is changed into something beyond what could ever hoped to be referred to as human. His body will have grown two feet taller, while also being rather slender in build. The shadows of Tartarus wrap themselves around his elongated legs as if a skirt and flows from his body as he moves.
His face and body have become covered in what seems to be solid polished metal armor with his face being completely featureless, more of a smooth globe. Most notable however are his arms and what they hold. Ciel has spouted four additional arms, two per side and each of the six total arms have in there hands a glowing white mask with each having a different expression or emotion etched into it's face. These mask act as both communication tool and weapon in this form. When Ciel speaks it comes from the mask and he tends to switch the mask around to match emotion. He also channels and controls attacks with them, even slashing with the side of the mask as if a small bladed weapon.
It's starting here that his humanity becomes deeply locked within his soul and the demon with Tartarus' influece starts to sharply take over his being. Although he can still prevent himself from going berserk, it's at this point his idea of empathy and mercy goes out the window.
Cuarta Etapa:
The transition from Ciel's third to fourth release is something that could be considered both beautiful and terrifying. As he transitions his metallic body from the third release will ripple as if water and within those ripples the physical change will wash over him. The darkness of Tartarus will begin to coalesce and solidify into the flowing white robes. The arms collapse together and form a large staff which will rest within his two remaining hands, with the end of the staff gaining a blade of pure darkness, the same stuff from Tartarus that made up the skirt earlier.
The robes, while white and looking seemingly pure will look off visually, as if light attempts to bend into it. Although it will be easy enough to ignore and won't cause anyone to get confused in a fight it is still easy enough to notice, almost as if looking at a mirage. This is caused by the fact that it is pure, but in a different sense. Where holy light is pure good, this could be considered the polar opposite. Likewise just being near Ciel in this state will let one hear the very faint sounds of hell, his connection to Tartarus being so strong and direct now.
His limbs, while visible seem slightly more translucent now with what looks to be visible reishi pulsing through his veins, giving Ciel an ethereal look to him. It also gives the slight appearance of a body floating rather than walking. His hands are covered in a curious light in the palms and back of the hand. To stare at them even in a neutral sense would give one unease. Those with good instinct would know something about them is dangerous although they wouldn't know what yet.
Ciel can barely keep control at this state. It takes all his effort to focus and not go berserk when released this far. Things like conversation become exceptionally limited or else he'd lose his focus. At this state he is essentially an Avatar of hell. While he might look different than one might expect of a demon, what he represents is the reaping of souls that happens moment to moment in Tartarus. But instead of a raving band of demons, the enemy has to deal with Ciel.
Quinto Etapa:
If it ever gets to this point, the fight will soon be over one way or another. At this point Ciel has lost all control and has given in completely to Tartarus. His large frame has shrunk back down to that of a normal human man and his eccentric looking metallic skin has been replaced by a draped over, pure white coat that has the same shifting of light effect as the release before. The craziest thing about this form is how normal it appears, aside from the towering horns which are about as half as large as Ciel actually is.
However what is terrifying is Ciel's Reiatsu. It's so twisted and thick, it bathes the area in what appears to be white mist and sand. Moving through it causes physical ripples across it and it would feel similar to trying to breath in a tropical environment with high humidity. Doable but you can feel the weight in every breath. Ciel's weapon has even been simplified, coming down to that of a simple walking stick. Ciel's white cloak and dark sunken eyes all have small wisp of black Tartarus' sweeping off it, although it is small, suggesting his entire being has become comprised of it's essence. This is Ciel's true form as a demon or at least his imitation of one.
Ciel can no longer speak in this form. No longer communicate. All he knows is that he, as a creature of hell must hunt down sin and purge the body and soul of it. Torture. Pain. Bloodletting. Any and all methods hell has at it's disposal Ciel will use to punish those who have sinful souls. Anyone who tries to stop him will be removed from the equation. This will not stop until he is knocked out, killed or there is no one around for him to cleanse. In this form Ciel becomes Tartarus physically embodied. The enemy is no longer fighting Ciel. They're fighting a concept made physical.
Saisei Oni Primera Etapa Techniques:
1st - Weapon - Jailer's Chains: Unlike others of his kind who break and remove the hell's chains upon release of his abilities, Ciel keeps, transforms and manipulates them to his bidding.
Because of this Ciel has gained the ability to channel the powers of hell through the chains and impart hell's gifts directly into any enemy he strikes. When struck by the attack the
person's mind will be assaulted with images from hell, specifically from the torture islands. They'll experience a small amount of the pain and torture that awaits all who are stuck there and
who are destined to become denizens of hell.
Although the experience will feel quiet lengthy and drawn out to the one experiencing it, they will in reality experience it within an instant. The actual physical damage would be equivalent to
simply being struck by the heavy hell chains but the mental damage would be extensive, especially on those with weaker personalities and wills. The attack can be spotted when his chains become
engulfed in very noticeable black aura. It last for two post after activation or until an enemy is struck and visions are imparted.
Those who have a 3 in strength of will or illusion will partially resist the mental effects of the ability allowing them to regain focus rather quickly once they've noticed the illusion has ended while also being able to endure repeated exposers much more easily.
Those who have 1-2 in strength of will or illusion will find themselves mentally and physically shook from their experiences. Although not in complete shock from the ability it will weigh on their minds heavily and will possibly leave them open as they attempt to regain composure.
Those who have 0 in both will be in complete shock from their experiences, having trouble separating what they experienced from reality. Due to this they would be left wide open until something shakes them from their experience or someone snaps them out of it.
Drawbacks: Just the cost in this case
Cost: 300 Reiatsu on activation
Resistances: Strength of Will and illusion resistance helps fight against this ability. 50% offensive stat superiority also will resist this skill
2nd - Body skill - Hell's Crystal:
Everyone who enters hell becomes a prisoner and Ciel is no exception. However, hell is a special type of prison, one where you endures pain and suffering to grow in strength so that you may fight back, escape even. Tartarus is the ultimate prison of hell that none escape however, not without the master's permission. These crystals are a cruel reminder of that.
This is a mode type skill that is activated upon releasing Ciel's Primera Etapa. The Reiatsu cost is paid on top of the normal release cost. This skill causes Ciel's body to be engulfed
and covered within crystallized hellfire while also forming a crystalline structure around his body of which he becomes bound to, stopping his mobility completely. In this state his only mean of
offense becomes the crystallized hell chains he controls which sprout from the crystalline structure itself. While encased within this crystal it becomes his defense and starts at his base offensive stat to all types of attacks. For every 500 Reiatsu he absorbs it increases by .5 up to the maximum 2.5 his offensive stat at 1,500 Reiatsu stored up.
Any attacks it does take will drain a set amount of Reiatsu from it. If a physical attack is made for each individual strike blocked by it, it will absorb 50 Reiatsu from the attacker and be stored.
If a Reaitsu based attack is made (I.e Cero) then half of the cost it takes to fire it off will be stored.
As the Crystal stores more power it will begin to brightly glow and once it absorbs enough (1,500 Reiatsu) Ciel can choose to detonate it in a Dome shaped AoE explosion for the radius of 100 yards, all directions range in a massive storm of hellfire at 600 speed, a special type of fire only from hell which can even set water ablaze. The damage equals the banked Reiatsu as an offensive stat. Ciel's offensive stat. If the crystal is broken before a full charge is reached it will release it's energy in a similar but smaller scale, with different radius and damage amounts at 25%, 50% and 90% charge. Once the skill is broken Ciel can move again with his crystallized hell chains returning to his arms.
Clarification: The weaponized chains on the outside are two in number, one for each arm. It is the same as if he was just wielding the weapons outside of the crystal, it is in essence just a projection of his weapons to allow him to throw some normal attacks out. They don't hold any extra power or speed.
Drawbacks: Literally cannot move for the entire duration of the skill. Cost. CANNOT STACK with Hiero or any similar defensive boost while active.
Cost: 250 initial cost, 50 per post after.
Resistances: Dodging. Offensive stat superiority can shatter the crystal instantly.
Saisei Oni Segunda Etapa Techniques:
3rd - Body - Tartarus' Journey, Torture: Tartarus is the place beneath the layers of hell, a place which combines everything from before and refines it to a grizzly perfection. Ciel aims to teach the tenets of hell to his enemies step by step, starting with the island of torture and ending in Tartarus itself. First we begin on the islands of torture, a place of indelible pain and suffering. To activate this techinque the darkness of Tartarus' that seeps from Ciel's body would rapidly spread out across the ground at 700 speed, spreading to 25 meter radius before raising and snapping shut around them, forming a dome.
The darkness acts as a portal and within it's space, it brings a piece of hell directly to the plain of which they are fighting, in this case Ciel and his enemy would find themselves on one of the many islands of torture and unlike his previous release which showed mere illusions, this was the real thing. The sounds, feel and pressure of hell will be very real here. If one tried to escape, while they would find no walls they would find themselves tethered at the 20 meter mark preventing them from going further. This tether is what binds both Ciel and his enemy here. To escape Ciel must either end the ability, be forced to end the ability or the enemy must break their tether.
Upon either of these three conditions happening both parties will find themselves thrusted back to where they were previously fighting, usually some distance apart with scorch marks all over the 20 foot radius to signify what was there. The portal can also be broken apart from the outside for the same effect.
While inside, the ability is extremely simple, for all versions: For each plain of hell there will be exactly one, unbreakable rule that applies to both Ciel and his Enemy equally. In Torture that rule is "Suffering". Ciel and his enemy share each other's pain, fully. If Ciel for example got sliced down his chest, the enemy would also feel the pain of his own attack, although he would not suffer the damage. The same applies if Ciel damaged the enemy or even damaged himself, it works in way you might try it. If one suffers the other does equally.
Cost: 300 Reiatsu, 150 per post
Drawbacks: Cost and constant drain, shared suffering. The tether (and by proxy the portal from the outside) can be broken with 50% offensive stat superiority, forcibly ending the effect.
Resistances: Pain resistance and strengthof will are applied naturally. For note however, while a 3 in force of will can power through pain you still will be in excruciating pain depending on the injury you're feeling. Pain resistance is much more effective in this case. If by chance someone was to have low/no pain resistance or force of will...it will be agonizing beyond words.
4th - Weapon - Tartarus' Drill: No defense can stand before the reach of Tartarus. Ciel's hands become entwined with the shadows of Tartarus, rotating around him at rapid speeds, much like drills. These drills are powered by flowing and mixing his Reiatsu in with the darkness of Tartarus, allowing him to gain physical prowess comparable to his spiritual capabilities. Put simply the drills add some of Ciel's Spiritual power to his strength. 25% of his Reiatsu Strength is added to his Strength for the attack. The attack must be recast each time he wishes to re-use it. Strikes are normal physical strikes and thus travel at normal speeds, lastly the drills can only last for the attack they were made for. Even if they miss, they dissipate shortly after and must be re-cast to be used again.
Drawback: Cost.
Cost: 300 Reiatsu
Improvement Skills
Hell's Crystals: The skill improves by condensing it's formerly large crystalline shape down to something comparable to a skin-tight layer of crystal. This comes with a mix of new effects. First off the defensive power is lowered from x2.5 Ciel's offensive stats down to x2.0 his offensive stats. The crystal being more form fitting now allows for Ciel to move around during the skill. The Reiatsu absorption remains the same however the threshold is lowered to 1,000 total Reiatsu. The explosion is no longer an AoE turning instead to a linear extremely condensed laser of pure Reiatsu. The damage is x2 Ciel's Offensive stats and travels at the same 600 speed. The cost, per post cost and resistances stay the same.
This first transformation of the ability shifts similarly down the line to that of the actual release, going towards replicating the hell demons that infest Tartarus and their tough natural armor. While the pure defensive power does go down and it loses it's potential explosive pay off, Ciel can now move around and the damage is focused and more concentrated.
Additionally he moves at 25% his normal speed and can't use step techs.
Jailer's Chains: The chains which normally had been wrapped around and manipulated by Ciel are no longer physically present having been absorbed into his body. These chains can still be summoned at will from any particular point from his body and act as a normal medium-ranged weapon attack. As for attack itself it gains a single additional component. If the attack hits and succeeds in placing the target under the illusion, he can pay an extra 150 Reiatsu to have the chains wrap around and bind the enemy target. The binding can be held for two post, until the enemy takes damage or has superior offensive stats and can simply break out of it. Cost, resistances and Drawbacks remain the same.
Saisei Oni Tercera Etapa Techniques:
5th - Body - Tartarus' Corruption: The skirt of shadow which surrounds Ciel's demonic visage is for more than just show. At Ciel's mental command, usually guided by one of his hands, the black tendrils of Tartarus can change shape and strike out against Ciel's foes. If the attack manages to hit, the initial hit will be both painless and cause no apparent physical injury, in fact it will seem as if the shadows simply passed through the body. However, starting with the wounded person's next turn they'll feel a sharp pain where they were initially hit and upon inspection of the area will find it has turned dark, wretched looking (similar to the demonic features Ciel has in his base form.) For the next four post (so five total after the hit) they will suffer damage equal to Ciel's offensive stat and the spreading of corruption unless otherwise treated.
Can only summon one tendril per cast. The corruption as it spreads would inflict the feeling of being burned from the inside out where the corruption is present. Those who touched the area of corruption on another person would feel a similar heat to what one would feel if they touched the corrupted area on Ciel in his base form, showing it's base roots within hellfire.
Drawback: Cost
Cost: 400 Reiatsu
Resistances: The skill itself can be resisted with offensive stat superiority. After that however it comes down to poison resistance. 3 resist it, 2 resist 50% damage, 1 resist 25% damage, having 0 poison resistance they take full damage and are afflicted for two extra post.
Damage recovery also aids in resisting the damage. 4 can out recover the corruption, thus negating it. 3 resist 75% damage, 2 resist 50% and 1 resist 25%. 0 takes full damage.
6th - Weapon - Ciel's Labyrinth: It's in this release that Ciel starts to become truly otherworldly, his humanity almost entirely gone and replaced by demonic rage and instinct. His fighting style and mannerisms shift towards something far more demonic and aggressive, with this skill showing that in spades. The six bladed mask that rotate around his head line up, three along each shoulder. Each mask compresses and shoots out in the shape of spears, which Ciel has full mental control over. He's able to make these spears take extreme maneuvers such as perfect right angles making them perfect for chasing down the enemy. Each spear can move at 600 speed.
Cost: 150 per spear I want to activate and then 100 per post for each spear that remains active after the first post for a total of 600 at max.
Drawback: Cost
Improvement SkillsJailer's Chains: Hits from the chains now also cause those who fall under the illusion to have their dark aura increase by 5 points for the next five post.
Hell's Crystal: Hell's Crystal cost 50 less Reiatsu to cast, bringing it down to 250 start up cast.
Tartarus' Journey: The descent into hell continues as we come to wondering. Skill works exactly as it did before, except now a new rule which still applies to both Ciel and his Enemy. Constant movement must happen. If you don't move in your post you take damage from the burning ground of wandering equal to Ciel's offensive stat.
Tartarus' Drill: Spiritual Strength Conversion increased by 25% to a new total of 50%
Saisei Oni Cuarta Etapa Techniques:
7th - Weapon - Tartarus' Judgement: Tartarus judgement is quiet simple: Death and eternal suffering. Using his scythe Ciel cuts open a hole into space in front of him, opening a portal directly to Tartarus. Almost instantly a giant hand, far to big to be that of a normal demon will shoot out of the rip in space at 550 speed towards the enemy. Assuming it hits, this giant demonic hand will wrap around and crush the enemy but it will cause no physical damage. What it will do will retreat with a portion of the target's soul and drag it to Tartarus to begin it's torture early. This claiming of one's soul by Tartarus will shake them down to their foundation, causing a 20% drop in offensive stat. This last effect last for only 4 post.
Resistance: Those with 3 in Lack of fear will keep their composure from the experience for the most part resulting in only a 5% drop in stats. 2 is 10% and a 1 is 15%. Calm mind can also resist this to a point thanks to being able to calm themselves from the experience. 3 will suffer 10%, 2 will be 15%. Strength of will will resist it on the same chart as calm mind.
Cost: 450 Reiatsu
Drawbacks: Cost, counts toward long term stat-effect cap in threads (thus only a max of 3 uses). Also, effect cannot under any circumstances stack.
8th - Body - Charon's Light: Charon, the boatman of the river styx has the only lights in all of hell and uses it to guide his way, along with unfortunate souls in tow. Spirits attempt to replicate this with pale lights to draw others into the river and those who enter have little hope for escape. Ciel's light is much the same. Going through the center of his hands is a pale white light which he can cause to brighten and entrance all those who witness it in a 250 foot cone. The light emits from one hand at a time. Those who fall to the allure of light will find there-selves in a trance like state, forcibly compelled to walk towards Ciel at their normal walking speed.
Cost: 200 to start it and 200 per post to keep it up.
Drawbacks: Cost to use over time, illusion breaks on damage taken or coming within 15 feet of Ciel where they then see his true visage which breaks through the illusion.
Resistance: Those with 50% higher offensive stat are resistant to this technique. 4 in Strength of will can look down away from the light or close their eyes to block it out and even move away from it, so long as they don't observe it. 3 in strength of will will allow them to look away to prevent moving forward but will find retreating beyond their will without assistance. 2 and below are helplessly enthralled.
4 in illusion resist will resist the light's draw entirely, even if staring straight at it. 3 in illusion resist can avert their gaze and retreat from the light. 2 can look away from the light to avoid advancing but cannont find the will to retreat. 1 or 0 will find themselves completely enthralled.
Improvement Skills:Jailer's Chains: Increased from 5 darkness aura to 10.
Hell's Crystal: Damage from firing stored Reiatsu increased to 2.5 Ciel's offensive stat. Capacity for stored Reiatsu goes back up to 1,500 and his staggered defense increase goes back up to a maximum of 2.5 his offensive stat.
CLARIFICATION: Since there was some discussed confusion with Ray, just pointing out the skill still works exactly the same as it did back when it was in Primera. Stat superiority will still shatter the crystal and the defense/offense only go up as he stores Reiatsu, increasing at every 500. He doesn't just get that Defense out right. Like every other stage of this skill, it must be built up through absorbing damage.
Tartarus' Journey: We remain wandering in wandering for now. Fire damage increased by .5
Tartarus' Drill: Can now be sustained as a mode-type ability for 200 Reiatsu per post. Casting it goes up an extra 50 for 350.
Tartarus' Corruption: Damage increase by 1.5 ciel's offensive stat
Ciel's Labyrinth: Speed increases by 50 for 650 speed.
Saisei Oni Quinto Etapa Techniques:
9th - body - Demon's Mercy: Ciel, is no longer Ciel. His humanity is gone. He has completely been taken by the energies of Tartarus and can no longer be told apart from a demon of hell and the only mercy that remains is death. Ciel raises one of his hands in the direction of the target and very rapidly begins to gather and condense his Reiatsu. The rate and amount he gathers is so rapid the thick Reiatsu that is visible because of his presence started to swirl and be sucked into a single, dense point as if a small scale black hole drew it in.
Once ready an extremely thin beam of his pure white Reiatsu will shoot out. The beam will travel at 600 speed and reach 250 feet out and Ciel will sweep it in a 80 degree arc in front of him dealing his offensive stat in damage. Right after, due to the sudden creation of empty, free space the air will rush in towards the center of the arc creating a vaccume and soon after releasing a secondary explosion which covers the same area for 2.0 Ciel's offensive power. Assuming the beam portion of the attack is dodged, if they did not exit the arc of the attack the resulting vacuum will suck them in and thus be caught in the explosion. Similarly if someone has any stat superiority and shrugs off the first attack. Both attacks can be defeated with simple stat superiority.
Cost: 1500 Reiatsu
Drawback: Cost, Release forcibly ends going back to his sealed state due to the sheer amount of power fired off. However, he can re-release if he has the reaitsu for it.
Resistance: Stat superiority
10th - Weapon - Spare the rod....: What is Hell and Tartarus in the end? Places of torment designed to punish one for their sins. Ultimately, it is a cleansing by blood, fear and suffering it's payment of the flesh. Ciel's final technique is the epitome of Tartarus and even hell itself. Using his Cain he thrust it forward towards his target however if it were to connect, it wouldn't pierce his target. In fact, it would be akin to a very soft tap. What does happen however is instant physical back lash to the enemy as Tartarus floods into his very being and begins ripping them apart from the inside based on there sins (Dark aura). 0 Dark aura will be spared fully from the effects of their sins.
25% dark aura will suffer small lacerations all over their body, not life threatening but exceptionally painful. 50% dark aura will have their bones begin to crush while the cuts happen all over their body. 75% dark aura will have bones splinter and twist sending splinters of bone piercing outside of the body in multiple places and piercing non-vital organs, the blood loss will be massive. 100% dark aura will find their body and internal organs rupture. This will all happen instantly after the hit connects.
Right after his weapon will shatter, preventing use of this for the rest of the thread.
Cost: Min: 800 Reiatsu Half of his remaining Reiatsu, breaking of weapon.
Drawbacks: Massive Reiatsu cost, Loss of weapon (and thus weapon tech) for the rest of the thread. Missing will still result in 25% of his remaining Reiatsu though the weapon will be kept intact.
Resistance: Don't get hit. Light aura. Bleeding resistance, pain tolerance and strength of will at a 3 or higher will help keep someone at max dark alive and will in general help muddle through the effects of the attack.
Final Improvement Skills:Jailer's Chain: Can now remain active for a cost of 25 Reiatsu per post
Hell's Crystal: Attack bumped up to 3x Ciel's offensive stat
Tartarus' Journey: We finally arrive in Tartarus, the infinite darkness. Only one rule now: None escape Tartarus. The effect will not end until one of the party can no longer fight or the dome is forced to be broken. Can be broken from the outside at stat superiority but to break it from the inside becomes exceptionally difficult, requiring an additional 50% stat superiority. It's now a duel to the death in the darkness of Tartarus.
Tartarus' Drill: Reiatsu strength conversion goes up 25% for a final total of 75% conversion
Tartarus' Corruption: Post length increased by 2. 4 for those who have no resistance.
Ciel's Labyrinth: Speed increased by 50, 700. Associated cost goes up by 100 to cast/25 to maintain for 250/150.
Tartarus' Judgement: Effect lingers two more post
Charon's Light: Upkeep cost reduced to 50 per post.
Other Techniques (Kido, Cero, Etc.):
Technique Name: [Placidus]
Class: [4]
Technique Type: [Other]
Technique Element: [None]
Technique Description and Effects:
This is the Akki step technique. While Akki can use step techniques from other races, this technique is particularly devastating because it belongs to them. This is the unique Akki ability for stepping.
What this technique does is allow the Akki to phase briefly in and out of their current plain of existence. In other words, they momentarily disappear, blinking out of existence. As they do, a flash of black explodes outwards. Anyone that witnesses them blinking out of existence will suddenly see nothing but blackness for that split second. It is hardly enough to affect the battle, but rather it is theatrical. The Akki, during that brief second, is gone, and cannot be attacked. This is a direct "teleportation," unlike Shunpo or Sonido, which are merely fast movement.
Averagely, this is performed at 15x the user's speed, making it one of the fastest individual steps. It is also known to be able to move forwards within three small steps rather than one. It can also be done for one. If done in three, the same distance is covered in three smaller steps, creating a theatrical flash of black with each appearance and disappearance. Additionally, there is a flash of white light when the Akki reappears and blinks back into existence. Any who witness this flash of light will suddenly see hallucinations of horrible monstrosities and new body features on the Akki in question that uses this technique, and their fear of the individual will increase.
How to use technique:
Like all step techniques, this one requires a simple step as well. It is done for 200 reiatsu per use, which is why most Akki prefer to use the steps of other races. It is an expensive step technique, but is easily one of the most powerful.
Technique Drawbacks
Reiatsu cost.
Made By: [Admin]
Technique Name: Shunpo (Flash Steps)
Class: 7
Technique Type: Kidō
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects:
A movement technique that allows the user to move faster than the eye can follow. The focal point that determines the basis of this technique is speed. As speed is the main point of the technique, the method is best characterized by how fast one can get from Point A to Point B in the least amount of steps. Training and skill are what determines how fast a user of Shunpo can move. Those of little skill in the technique or those who haven't used it for an extended amount of time would obviously be out of practice, causing those individuals to be considerably slower. This requires the use of more steps to move the same distance and become tired more easily in a shorter amount of time. A single step magnifies speed for that step by ten times. Shunpo uses fifty Reiatsu per step. This one is automatically learned in the academy. All Shinigami know this when created. This technique does not take up a technique slot.
How to use technique:
Focus of Reishi around the feet area and launch off into a single blurring step. It is not unlike teleportation in appearance, but it is simply extremely fast movement. It is often used to gain an edge in a single moment of combat or to dodge incoming attacks.
Technique Name: [Hellfire Arts: Burning Blood]

Technique Description and Effects (Explain appearance, powers, and effect): [Insert Below]
This technique is activated after the Akki takes a blow that cuts open their flesh and exposes their blood to the air. Channeling their Infernal heritage, their spilled blood bursts into flames of Hellfire and emerges as a sharp sword from the wound. The Class 5 version of this technique allows for a 2 foot sword to emerge, the Class 3 version allows for a 10 foot sword to emerge. This sword lasts for a post before burning out. Anything that is touched by the sword, however, will catch on fire and will burn for 3 posts.

Technique Name: [Hellfire Arts: Rain]
Class: [4]
Technique Type: [General Akki Technique]
Usable By (Technique is available to which races?): [Akki]
Technique Element: [Hellfire]
Technique Description and Effects (Explain appearance, powers, and effect): [Insert Below]
Drawing from their experiences in Hell, Akki are capable of summoning Hellfire to aid them at will. This technique involves sending a blast of Hellfire from the palm into the air. On the following post, a 10 foot in radius circle of Hellfire will rain down on the location targeted in the first post. Hellfire is unique in that it burns all substances. Even water can be set on fire by Hellfire if it has a superior offensive stat. This fire will last for 2 posts before burning out.
How to use technique (How is it activated?): [Insert Below]
Summon Hellfire into one's hand, then launch it into the air after choosing a target.
Technique Drawbacks (Limitations, repercussions for use, etc) (Insert Below)
Reiatsu cost. Using Hellfire burns the hand that summons it to a minor degree. Can be dodged by moving 10 feet away within the course of a post.

Reserved? (Yes/No) (Can others use your technique, or just your character?): [No]
Technique Name: [Eye of Lucifer: The Nightmare]
Class: [4] - 7-1.
Technique Type: [Other - Hell Art] - Kidou, Quincy Technique, Bount Technique, Human Technique, Hollow Technique, Other
Technique Element: [None - If any]
Technique Description and Effects: [What does your technique do? How strong is it? What is it's range of abilities? List these things below.]
On the user's chest, an eye suddenly appears and opens up. This eye is not human by any means. The eye is indescribable. Neither colors nor even the emotions and look to the eye can be described. All that can be recognized is that it is an eye. During use of this technique, those who look upon the eye will suffer. None can look upon it. If they did not have emotions, they will suddenly have emotions. If they could not understand or process them, they will suddenly be able to. And they will be made to suffer. Fear, anxiety, terror, worry, despair, pain, hopelessness, loss, agony, suffering. All of these will be felt at their highest forms. As if everything they ever cared about is lost. As if everyone they ever loved is murdered. As if they are being skinned alive while burned and broiled in acid and then frozen. It cannot even be truly described. To look upon the eye is an agony unlike any other. And yet, once looking at the eye, looking away becomes difficult. Thought and focus become impossible given the pain. And closing ones eyes becomes impossible. Even reflexes and instinct stop working. Even a split second of exposure to this technique results in that unimaginable, almost paralyzing pain.
How to use technique: [How do you use this technique? List below.]
Stated above.
Drawback: [What are the disadvantages and drawbacks of your technique? Don't forget that the drawback must be equal in strength to the technique. List everything related to the drawback below.]
Large reiatsu cost. Used in the same way as any other long range technique, mostly. Must be initiated by sight contact.
Made by: [Grimoire Acero]
Technique Name: Corrupting Influence
Class: 4
Technique Type: Hell Technique
Usable By: Hell Races – Akki, Nakabakki, Hason, and Saika
Technique Element: Spirit
Technique Description and Effects:
Beings of Hell exist for many purposes, but one that many, if not all share, is the corruption of all that is good, drawing it towards the same Hell that they exist in. This technique embodies that aspect, and acts accordingly. Simply put, it corrupts a victim within its range. In an area one hundred feet in radius around the user, any individuals who possess a Dark Aura lower than the user's will find their Light Aura reduced by 10 and their Dark Aura increased by 10 each post. As their aura inverts, they become more sinister, darker in personality; the stronger their Dark Aura becomes, the more their desire to do wrong increases. They begin to find pleasure in cruelty, begin to find joy in harm, begin to lust for destruction and pain of anything good. The higher their Dark Aura gets, the further they sink into depravity. Of course, being outside of the aura reverses this; for each post that the victim is not exposed to the aura, their Light Aura recovers by 5 and their Dark Aura drops by a similar amount until they are back to their normal values. Personality reverses appropriately.
How to use technique:
Extend one's will outwards, spreading the corruption of one's own darkness to the souls around them.
Technique Drawbacks:
Cost, of course, is the first drawback. This technique costs 150 Reiatsu to activate, and 100 Reiatsu per post after to maintain. Second, a victim can never have their Dark Aura go higher than the user's; once they are even or higher, this technique no longer works. Those with a strong spirit can resist this technique; with a superior spiritual offensive stat, the corruption is reduced to 5 points per post, while with a 25% advantage, the corruption is negated altogether. Those with a 100 in Light Aura also have a unique resistance to this technique; while it won't stop it outright, they will have to receive thirty points of Light Aura corruption (three posts with lower spiritual stat, or six posts with just superior spiritual stat and not the 25% advantage) before their values are actually altered.
Made By: Skoll Koryu
Reserved?: No
Technique Name: [Bakudo #61: Rikujokoro (Six Rods Prison of Light)]
Class: [4]
Technique Type: Kido
Technique Element: [Light]
Technique Description and Effects:
Summons six thin, wide beams of light that slam into a target's midsection from all sides, holding them in place. This technique also results in total paralysis, and can even suspend targets in mid air.
How to use technique:
This requires the user's eyes to be focused on the target, and their casting hand to be aimed at the target as well. The six beams will then close in, but those who are quick enough or instinctive enough will be able to dodge.
Incantation and Effect:
The incantation increases the reiatsu strength of this technique by 25%. (I.E. Reiatsu strength of 100 is instead worth 125.) ("Carriage of Thunder. Bridge of a spinning wheel. With light, divide this into six!")
Technique Name: [Bakudo #99 Part 1: Kin (Seal)]
Class: [2]
Technique Type: Kido
Technique Element: [Metal]
Technique Description and Effects:
Binds the arms of a target to their back like Bakudo #1: Sai, but does so with spiritual fabric and iron shafts. The fabric wraps around the body and then pins it to the ground while the iron shafts pin it even more in several overlaying X patterns on top of the body. Those caught in this technique are completely immobilized,
How to use technique:
This can be done by aiming the casting hand at the target, but if it is done this way then the bindings fall from the sky, allowing the technique to be dodged. If this is done through physical contact, it is impossible to dodge, and the bindings appear instantly.
Incantation and Effect:
This spell can be broken with reiatsu strength advantage of 50%, but the incantation makes it unbreakable. ""Gods, I forsake thee. God of War, your wrath consumes all. God of Chains, your bindings snap under pressure. God of Peace, your power is not found here. God of Mercy, you have left this world. I take it upon myself to be the Might of the God of War, the Bindings of the God of Chains, the Peacemaker when the God of Peace cannot, and the Hand of Justice when the God of Mercy will not. With power above the gods, I call upon my own strength to bind you and cease your evil. Be still!"
Technique Name: [Bakudo #99 Part 2: Bankin]
Class: [2]
Technique Type: Kido
Technique Element: [Metal]
Technique Description and Effects:
This spell first covers the target from head to toe with a thick fabric (first song), and follows up by stabbing them with numerous metal bolts (second song). It finalizes by smashing them with an immense metal cube (final song). This Bakudo is unbreakable when it has been completed, regardless of reiatsu strength. It can be broken only through its casters death or willing release. Reiatsu cannot be used and is completely sealed if this technique is complete. For every song that is allowed to land on the user, 1/3 of their reiatsu strength and remaining reiatsu is removed.
How to use technique:
This can only be used if Kin has already been cast, and is done through aiming the casting hand at the incarcerated victim. The first and second songs can both be broken by double and triple the caster's reiatsu strength respectively being flexed, but final song is unbreakable.
Incantation and Effect:
All three songs have different incantations. If the incantation is used for first song, then first song's reiatsu strength doubles. If the incantation is used for second song, then second song's reiatsu strength triples. If incantation is used for final song, then all of the victim's stats will be burned away to 10 instantly while the victim is caught. Incantations unknown.
Technique Name: Hado #90: Kurohitsugi (Black Coffin)
Class: 2
Technique Type: Kido
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects: A brutal spell, this Kido forms a box of black energy around a target, which is then pierced by dozens of energy "spears", lacerating the one inside from head to toe. Its appearance and function is reminiscent of a common magician's trick, as well as certain torture devices used during the Spanish Inquisition. Escape from within is nearly impossible, causing those trapped by it to face certain doom. It is virtually unbreakable from the inside, except by a vastly superior spiritual strength, and with a technique class 2 or above. This is also considered impossible to dodge at point blank range.
How to use technique: Speak the spell and point hand towards the target.
Incantation and Effect: “Seeping crest of turbidity. Arrogant vessel of lunacy! Boil forth and deny! Grow numb and flicker! Disrupt sleep! Crawling queen of iron! Eternally self-destructing doll of mud! Unite! Repulse! Fill with soil and know your own powerlessness!” With the incantation, this spell gets a 40% increase in Reiatsu Strength (i.e. if Reiatsu Strength is 100, this is treated as 140 with incantation).

Memorable Figures: His wife, the traitor Zenkai, Lucifer
History:
Chapter 1: LifeThe sound of soft and rapid pattering across the roof of his small suburban home was what awoke Michael from his regular seven hour slumber, a full hour earlier than expected. Looking over at the clock which mockingly read eight A.M he slammed his head back down on the pillow, letting out a frustrated sigh before turning his head to face his girlfriend, Miranda. Her lips were perked into the same sweet smile she always had when she slept, always so despicably peaceful. Michael couldn't stay annoyed after seeing that.
Leaning over he kissed her softly on the head before hopping out of bed, getting dressed and fixing a meal for them. Despite the soft patter of rain awakening him early, today was a big day. He had an appointment with the local art gallery, they came across one of his sold paintings and wanted to talk about featuring some of them.
It was the chance he had been working towards for years, he could finally make some money and give Miranda the life she deserves, the one he knew she wanted despite her insistence she was perfectly happy in there meek little home. She deserved better and he planned to give it to her. It didn't take long for the smell of scrambled eggs, toast and fresh coffee to fill up the small house and rise his lover from her sleep. As they sat to enjoy there breakfast they discussed the plans for the day ahead and excitedly flirted with the idea of a better life. But, unfortunately none of this would come to pass.
Later in the afternoon while they were meeting with the heads of the gallery, a single masked man had entered and shot a gun into the air. He ordered everyone to the ground while a college of his who came in shortly after went around the room collecting wallets, phones..anything of value. The robbery was poorly planned however and one of the clerks at the front desk managed to push a silent alarm. The police force was there within minutes and the would-be thieves barricaded themselves inside, with the hostages.
Negotiations went on for hours between the robbers and police but eventually things broke down. It was clear that they weren't making it out intact so they planned to take a hostage, use them as a shield and try to escape out the back. The one who had collected the wallets, phones and cash from earlier grabbed the curator who had been interviewing Michael. The leader, however decided to take Miranda.
Michael pleaded to take him instead, to leave his girlfriend alone but the robber wouldn't have it. Unable to handle the thought of the love of his life being put in that kind of danger, he couldn't control himself. He stood up and rushed the man who had his lover but he didn't make it far. He raised his gun and placed five shots into Michael's chest and gut. Michael collapsed instantly, rapidly bleeding out, his vision going dark as he stared up at his lover and killer. Before he slipped into darkness however, he got to witness police crashing through the front doors with an explosive charge, responding to the gunshots. The robbers both were gunned down and his girlfriend managed to avoid injury. Although too weak to speak, he still managed to see her crying face over him before he died.
Chapter 2: SpiritsEven now it's hard to say what the first emotion Michael had felt was when he "awoke" into the spirit realm, looking down at his own bloodied body or his crying, screaming wife over him. He never was a particularly superstitious man so to find out he was a floating, disembodied spirit was certainly a shock to the system. He wasn't however sad or upset like one might think, surprisingly peaceful in fact. He was quick to accept his death. His only sin, perhaps was the large amount of regret he had leaving this world without the love of his life.
Michael didn't want to see her suffer this world alone. Because of this rather strong belief and desire, he was unable to move on naturally and ended up haunting his wife albeit peacefully. He stayed with her in all things, doing what little he could to try and comfort her. He saw her mourn in the funeral, go through the rage and sorrow of losing a loved one at home and even smiled as she over the next few months slowly came to accept his death. It was, of course heartbreaking in many ways to see her slowly moving on, but it made him happy because he knew it was best for her.
At least, that is how it was at first. After about seven months of being a dead spirit and following his wife around, he started to realize he was, against his will, changing. The odd chain in his chest, which was once so long from when he first had died, has grown short. His emotions were becoming confused and erratic for no reason and to be frank, it scared him. Unaware of what he was doing or what was happening, Michael was rapidly on his way to becoming a hollow. Having spent too long in the human realm as a lost spirit and with constant strong emotions which ranged on the edges of jealousy and sorrow, he had unwittingly sped up the process. Perhaps if he had just turned into a hollow, things would have played out different but sadly things would not end up so simple for Michael.
As his emotions became more unstable, to the point where his outburst were effecting the physical world around him and turning him into a poltergeist, his spiritual energy began to grow and like sweet bait, drew in unwanted attention from creatures which Michael never dreamed could exist before. A single, snake like hollow was the one who picked up Michael's scent. He knew something was wrong and he did his best to contain his emotions but it wasn't Michael's fault. There was no way to know for him how the realm of spirits work, how they weren't meant to linger for so long in the physical realm. The Hollow's roar grew louder as it grew closer.
Chapter 3: HollowficationMichael could hear that shrill, terrifying roar as it was right outside and he was overcome with a sense of dread and impending doom. However, running wasn't an option, he had become tied to his haunting ground, attached to the woman who loved him in life. Although he had no clue what exactly was coming it was clear to anyone who heard the hollow's cry that something dangerous was on the way, so he did the only thing he could: He tried to warn his wife.
No matter what he did though, what he knocked over or made ring he accomplished nothing but scaring her. His wife, like him had no spiritual awareness so to his dismay there was nothing to be done. A loud crash ripped through the air as the back wall of the house caved, throwing debri all over Michael's lover and slithering in through the hole was what could only be described as a giant snake with a white mask: A hollow.
It had come for Michael's spirit, hungry and didn't care who or what got in the way of it's meal. The creature charged at him like a mindless beast and by sheer luck and concern he managed to jump out of the way and go to where his wife was. She was to Michael's relief alive but only just. She had suffered a large head injury. In his moment of joy however he had failed to remember the monstrosity behind him, perhaps underestimating the creature due to it's simplistic animal nature. It had come up behind him and with the end of it's tail slapped him with a crushing amount of force to the other side of the room, as well as causing further destruction to the house. As the home he had once live crumbled around him he could still only thing of a single thing and that was his wife.
When Michael looked up, however what he saw broke his heart. His wife was laying across from her body with a thin chain linked chain connecting and at the very "feet" of the monster which was causing such distraction. The spirit of his wife, still barely tethered to her body opened her eyes and saw her late husband. Michael was screaming for her to run to get away but she was in shock and couldn't make anything out. All she could do was smile with teary eyes as she saw the man she loved one last time. "Michael..is that you?" where her last words. She couldn't hear Michael screaming for her to run nor could she recognize the bone white jaws which engulfed her upper body and chomped down, devouring her. In that moment everything for Michael just went black. The surge of rage and sorrow overcame any pain he would have felt.
His chain's encroachment happened almost instantly after that. Michael ceased to exist and the hollow known as Thanatos was born and his first victim wouldn't be a human as it was with most hollows, but the idle of his rage. Perhaps he took it off guard or perhaps his emotions just had made him particularly strong, it was hard to say. But the result was the same as Thanatos' masked teeth chomped down on the face of the hollowed snake and he steadily began devouring him. There was only darkness before him now.
Chapter 4: EvolutionThanatos' new life was one of chaos, violence and gluttony. His rage was something that could not be sated. As a hollow he was very much like a spider, fitting for one who in life was an artist. He used acidic webs, venomed fangs and piercing legs to dispatch and devour his pray, all of which whom were hollows and as life progressed, even a few Shinigami, though low ranking. His hunger and rapid devouring of hollows was fueled more so by the anger that turned him into a hollow in the first place as opposed to a lust for power or at least that is how it was at first. After twenty years or so of non-stop feeding however he began to desire more power.
He was fighting and devouring more enemies one after another and it felt good. It wasn't much longer after that, that he joined in on what he would call "A convergence" event. Him and many other very powerful hollows met and fought, devouring. He ate and was eaten in kind and there bodies would rapidly meld into one another, eventually becoming a mass of consciences known only as a Gillian.
The Gillian was like it's brothers, mindless. It was a vessel with no soul at the helm. Inside it were thousands of hollows, all fighting each other to take control, to continue the evolution. The process took almost a full year but eventually the one known as Thanatos would emerge victorious from this hellish struggle. To signify it's intelligence and the crown of victor, it's masked changed to be more spider like, further signing that it was Thanatos who was in control, who overcame thousands of other enemies.
The next few years would be more of the same then, devouring other Gillians to gain even more power and to obtain an even further evolution. When it finally happened the giant Gillian body glowed like the sun and shrunk down rapidly, melding into self, condensing. What was left was a 7 foot tall humanoid looking creature with a mask similar to a jester. His arms and back were like the threads of a brush, contracted together to operate like normal limbs but being able to be controlled individually.
But most shocking of all was that Thanatos had something he had not had in a long time: A personality. Something unique to him that wasn't just rage and hunger. He felt..free. Thanatos felt great power surging through him as well, power he had no clue what it actually was but at the same time knew on instinct how to use. Things where changing. Fast.
Chapter 5: AdjuchasThanatos felt a peace he couldn't have imagined feeling in years. Rather it was the evolution or the long years of fighting having quenched his rage, he finally didn't feel anger or the need to kill or even a lust for power. In many ways, Thanatos felt complete. As he began to walk around and fiddle with what his new body could do, his mind drifted off to things that took him by surprise, such as art. He couldn't remember his human past as an artist, it had been far too long and buried to deep but despite that the passion for it was pushing through all anew.
Looking down into the depressing sand of Hueco Mundo he used his new tendril like hands to draw in it, creating architecture and heavenly bodies in surprising detail and at rapid speed, damn near as fast as he could think. The tendrils behaved and moved so precisely and independently that complex shapes seemed to appear as quickly as they did in his mind. Over the next few days that is all Thanatos did. He drew in the sand, experimented with his body. He found out he could shape his hands and the tendrils on his back to any shape imaginable, rather it be normal appendages, a cloak or even claws.
But as the days went on and Thanatos happily fed his passion, he noticed an increasing nagging in his head. A strange pressure that grew stronger and stronger with each passing moment. It felt like a wave threatening to consume his being and was something he could not ignore for long. As the strange sensation grew stronger he could only come up with a single word in his mind: Eat.
Thanatos had no desire for anymore violence or to kill and eat someone anymore. All he wanted to do was his art and enjoy his time but clearly this was something he had no choice in. To ignore it for much longer filled him with a primevil sort of fear, so in the end he hunted. He found and devoured whatever hollows would cross his path until that creeping sensation in his head passed away. Then he would hold out, fasting until he was forced to eat again.
Thanatos, due to his reluctance and distaste for needless violence was always on the thin knife's edge of regressing back into a Menos Grande. Like a classic hunter he only took what he needed and never wasted it. Over the course of these hated hunts is how he discovered exact what he could do with his powers.
A blast of energy known as "Cero". The ability to use blood rather his own or the enemies to paint living, deadly pictures with his brushed hands. After 150 or so years of this however it began to take a small toll on him.Thanatos was surprisingly soft hearted for a Hollow. The more he killed the more he hated himself for it and the more he attempted to disassociate from it.
Before long what was once hunting became "spreading art". He would make artistic sculptures and portriates out of the bodies of his victims. He did this originally to try and distract himself from the fact he was slaughtering and eating victims. It was around then he met his first and only friend, another Adjuchas named Zenkai. He was also a humanoid looking type, with claws and the power of gravitation. Thanatos' little art pieces had slowly become famous around the desert of Hueco Mundo and Zenkai, among others sought him out to ask him about his odd hobby..and then eat him. Zenkai however, presented himself as different.
He at one point protected Thanatos from a rather large attack group and helped him live. They got a long with each other well, laughing and spending there days together. It was the first time in a long time now that Thanatos had felt companionship with another being or even smiled and laughed. The dichotomy of the group was rather simple: Zenkai would do the hunting and killing, to relieve Thanatos of his burden and Thanatos would lure the food in with his infamy and art. It worked well and even made steps towards an improved mental state for Thanatos. At least, at first.
Chapter 6: Ambition's FallIn the end however nothing ever last and there is no such thing as relationships in Hueco Mundo, at least not at the level of power Thanatos was at. There is only ever predator and prey. Zenkai was just using him and feigning the friendship. Thanatos' mental state made him to ignorant to notice, the truth was he was little more than bait. This became obvious when one day one of the hunts went bad.
It was a particularly powerful Adjuchas class, a bird type that not only was gifted with flight by extreme speed. It managed to heavily injure Thanatos, even devouring a part of his shoulder, stopping his natural evolution and giving him a permanent scar. Although Zenkai managed to use the distraction to his advantage to kill and eat the Adjuchas, when he saw the state Thanatos was in he cast him aside without second thought. He was a tool that had now been used up. Zenkai contemplated killing him, however he decided not to. He called it a reward for helping him up to this point and he left Thanatos there to die.
Although Thanatos managed to find shelter and survive, he was wrought with anguish and hate over the betrayal. He spent years tracking Zenkai down, determined to find him and deliver judgement. The only bright side is, that terrifying urge to eat was no longer there. With no chance of evolution also came the gift of no chance of regression. It took much time and aimless wandering around the sand of Hueco Mundo but eventually, Thanatos did find his Brutus. He tracked Zenkai down in the forest of Menos, Thanatos had recognized the feel of his aura.
However, Zenkai was...different. It felt like Zenkai, what he saw fought like Zenkai but it was much more powerful and looked very different. He was bipedal like a human and had a human face. Zenkai was fighting and slaughtering some Menos, seemingly for fun and was using what looked very similar to a Shinigami's Zanpakuto. Zenkai, it seems had become an Arrancar at some point. Although Thanatos had heard of this recently over the years, this was the first time he had ever seen one in person.
He wasn't afraid although he should have been, the power difference was obvious. Thanatos launched his attack, going for the back of Zenkai's neck like a predictable predator and it turned out as anyone would expect. A swift counter attack knocked Thanatos out cold. Zenkai was about to ready the killing blow when he realized who attacked him and just grinned an evil smile. He was going to have some fun with the dog who bites at his merciful hand. By the time Thanatos awoke he was still being dragged through the sands of the Menos forest.
He had no clue where he was, but he couldn't move, something akin to a cero was binding him. When Zenkai finally stopped he pushed Thanatos forward to a deep, dark hole which emanated a terrible feeling in the gut, a feeling of sheer dread. Thanatos quickly turned around to face Zenkai but as he did, before could speak a word his Zanpakuto was stabbed through his chest and heart. Zenkai was spouting off some nonsense but Thanatos couldn't hear. Everything was slowly fading, except for the image of his killer's face and the number tattooed on his face. Zenkai ripped the sword out from Thanatos and he fell backwards into the hole, falling seemingly endlessly. Thanatos died before he ever found out if there was a bottom. The last thing he felt before everything went black however..was heat.
Chapter 7: Hell's PriceWhen Thanatos first woke up he was tied to a table, surrounded by an endless sky on what seemed to be a small floating island surrounded by countless others. Above him he could make out the moon, though it was not the moon he knew. Blood red and menacing it sent chills down his body though hew knew not why. Little did Thanatos realize it but this was hell and he had descended into Torture where he died. As such a new island was erected and his sentence had begun.
Before he knew it things, indescribable things would come and inflict all types of pain on him. It was agonizing but it was just pain and pain was something Ciel could handle. The creatures knew this as did the king of this place, Lucifer. It's said that from his palace Lucifer can see every soul in his domain and give 'gifts' to them, designed to torture them in a special way that is just for their agony. As was the case here.
Somehow Lucifer used his powers and gave back the one gift that could begin to break down Thanatos' will....his humanity. Emotions. Memories. Everything. Worse yet though all of these invaded into his head without washing away any of his previous experiences as a hollow. The contradictions. the contrast, the self disgust. It was a type of mental agony that is beyond knowing, a cognitive dissonance of a unfathomable level. Needless to say Thanatos', if he could even still be called that, had his resistance wash away and the torture began.
Slow and methodical, assailed with visions of his wife, the things he did and the things he could not stop. It took some years but eventually it did exactly what hell was supposed to do..it broke him and he began to rapidly fall through the layers of hell where the torture got worse and worse. The mental and physical started to intertwine. It became indistinguishable.
Chapter 8: AwakeningThere was no way for him to know how much time had passed. For all he knew this all happened in a long, agonizing minute. But as Thanatos fell through the circles something else started to form in his mind, a feeling he had almost forgotten. It was surprisingly similar to how it felt when he became the dominant soul of a menos. The start of something changing deep within him and taking over. Something instinctual.
Ciel doesn't know when he awoke, simply that he did. He was fully aware of his situation, where he was, what was being done to him and what was going on inside of him. His mind had found a way to counter balance the two raging contradictions inside of him, an act of sheer will. But the hold was tenuous at best and Ciel was in no way immune to the tortures..but he could fight back. Funny enough as he found as soon as he did, the tortures did not fight back. When he attempted to leave they allowed him to do so. It felt wrong.
Ciel could tell it was a trap but with everything that has happened he didn't care. He didn't even know what level of hell he was at in the moment. He just needed to get off that island. Unknown to Ciel, it had taken him fifty years to break through this very first thing. Once he approached the edge of his island he noticed a giant, ominous light house with bridges attached to cross. The bridges go over an ominous chasm that Ciel could not see the bottom of and wait laid beyond the bridges, the start of wandering, looked like the only way. So, Ciel left.
Chapter 9: WanderingThe land was barren, hot and there seemed to be no end to it. The path back seemed to stay the same but the path forward seemed ever expanding. In some ways it reminded Ciel of a worse version of Hueco Mundo. Even more so when other creatures of hell, hollows and sinners like him started attacking him. They he could handle, crushing them surprisingly easy, just for them to be reborn in hell anew somewhere else. What he couldn't handle was the guards. Gigantic beast which roamed around and slaughtered you on sight just for you to come back and try again. It was an agonizing death each time and frustrating.
But over the next ten or so years Ciel began to learn a lot about hell. People he fought, people he killed. Some had things to say, others did not. Ciel learned about where he was, the general layout and hierarchy of hell and how there seemed to be no escape. That the reason they fight is to get strong to maybe one day make escape possible. But most importantly, Ciel learned of Lucifer and his gifts. That he is the reason why Ciel is to this day assaulted with mental anguish, visions of a woman he once loved and everything else that came with his humanity. He also heard of his power and where he was located. He learned the terrible rumors about that place, Tartarus. It seemed terrible. It also seemed, to Ciel the only way to get strong.
So, he made up his mind. One of two things will happen to him. Ciel will either be destroyed by Lucifer..or he will destroy Lucifer. These are the only outcomes Ciel would accept and it gave him a rock solid determination. Ciel also knew about the power granted to hollows who willingly break their mask. Arrancar, just as the man who killed him. Ciel couldn't help but stroke his mask, thinking about it, wondering. He also knew it was risky. So he wouldn't try it, yet. Not until he felt there was no choice. So began the long backtrack. It seemed to take even longer than before and the only reason he could find his way was thanks to that damn lighthouse.
When Ciel finally arrived back at the boarder of Wandering and Torture, he stood atop the bridge and looked over the edge, into an endless black abyss. The entrence to Tartarus. A place no one wished to be, that no one would willingly go. A fate awaits worse beyond death to those who are unfortunate to land there. Ciel was a fool and allowed himself to topple over the edge and the darkness to swallow him whole.
Chapter 10: Tartarus and judgementCiel couldn't tell you how long he fell. He fell so long he fell asleep and woke up still falling countless times. If it wasn't for the wind and heat rushing past his body, Ciel would have thought himself floating in the same place. There was no light here. Pure darkness and abyss in every direction with no indication. Was he wrong? Had Ciel damned himself to something else? He was slowly being driven mad by the nothingness alone. But, eventually he would wake up on solid ground. The area around him still dark and vast but there did seem to be some semblance of illumination. Ciel could even make out what looked to be the spires of something large far in the distance.
Once Ciel had regained his composure the feeling and aura of the place smashed into him like a truck. It was dreadful. He could feel things staring at him, watching him from the shadows. Bloodlust filled the air and it was thick enough to choke on. But worse yet was the feeling he got when looking towards those dark spires in the distance. It felt like staring into a void, drawing his attention and preventing him from looking away. Whatever IT was, was staring right into Ciel's being, studying him, curious..perhaps even amused.
Eventually Ciel was able to catch himself and break out of the trance, the shock of his surroundings slowly wearing off and he headed off into the darkness. He knew what his goal was but he also knew, even more so now that he needed power if he was going to have a chance at his goal. For the remaining two hundred years Ciel wandered the dark abyss. He witnessed horrible things and slowly learned the way of life he had brought unto himself. The first thing he learned was the creatures known as demons were far stronger than what he was expecting.
They raided sinner and souls who had formed groups to try and survive. Those who were killed got devoured whole and worse yet..they didn't come back. But Ciel could still feel them, in his bones. The first time Ciel ever fought one of these creatures was almost his death and he was lucky enough to just come across one. The second time he fought a demon Ciel was forced to break his mask. It was a risk but if he hadn't, he would surely be one of the poor souls trapped in an existence beyond death. What happened to him was strange, however. True Ciel's power increased exponentially and he managed to kill the demon but it was..different than what he heard.
The darkness of Tartarus seemed to be drawn directly towards Ciel when he broke his mask, absorbing into him. It was only after the battle when he started inspecting his own body that he realized the oddities of his left side, the glowing fire within him and the demonic growth which seemed to claim his being. Ciel was shocked, as he expected to become a normal Arrancar not an Akki. Ciel had heard of them in the past but he never knew this was how they were born and he understood why they were so rare. Ciel was needless to say displeased with the demonic heritage that he claimed but he didn't have time to picky. Only the strong survived here and he needed to be strong.
So Ciel went out into Tartarus. He fought. He killed. He seeked out and repeated this over and over. He couldn't tell you when or how he got a chance to ever rest or catch his breath. He was on the hunt and the demons seemed to respond to his desires and gave Ciel what he wanted. Dealing with them was far easier than before but with that came a very large clarity, that these creatures were actually the bottom of the barrel, weak cannon fodder sent out to toy with masses. A chill revelation.
As the years passed, Ciel refined himself in the crucible of Tartarus. Slowly as he discovered how to use his power he found that his abilities seemed to be tied to this place, channeling the very darkness of Tartarus itself to crush those who stood before him. Ciel also discovered his overall distaste for combat and the price he paid for using his powers too much. But he pushed on, not out of a desire but a need. One way or another he was going to escape this place. Either through the total death only the king of hell could offer him or with Lucifer's head. But deep down, Ciel knew the outcome. He just didn't acknowledge it. This was suicide dressed up as a crusade.
Chapter 11: Calling and CullingOne day after many years had passed, after his power had grown to the point that the weak demons that attacked the outer layers of Tartarus had long ceased to be a threat to him Ciel felt a force beckoning him. There were no words spoken or messages written, but a simple longing or need to go towards Lucifer's castle. It was as if he was being enchanted by a spell driven by a will not his own. He was, for all intents and purposes being summoned. Ciel wasn't ready to fight him yet. He knew that but he couldn't resist this beckoning urge either. Death it is then.
As Ciel approached the Black Palace of Lucifer he was taken aback by just how large it was. It was both dreadful and marvelous and seemingly dyed black by the energies of Tartarus itself. Or perhaps Ciel had it wrong. Was Tartarus dyed black by the energy coming from the castle? Everything was so intertwined at this point, he had no clue. What Ciel did know though was that there were amazingly powerful creatures here. He could feel the differences in their power. Some he could probably fight, others he could not. But there were four powers in particular that towered over him like the castle and out of those four one power dwarfed everything else to a hilarious degree.
The giant doors swung open as Ciel approached and once the smallest of cracks were made he was washed over by a powerful aura that brought Ciel to his knees and as if grabbed by an invisible hand he was yanked in, doors slamming behind him. Ciel flew through the palace at exceptionally high speeds, unable to move. Doors opened and closed as needed until he was in a large central chamber. The dark marble floor and the size is about all he could describe however. Ciel couldn't move, his eyes forced down. Ciel felt a cold and dark presence, something so deep that it could single handedly be responsible for all the darkness in Tartarus. Ciel needed no introductions, he knew whom he was forced to bow before. But suddenly he could move.
When he looked up there was a small man. Human sized but overall normal looking. Despite his looks however that same feeling came over him. This, was Lucifer. Or rather, as he would go on to explain, what he was choosing to appear to Ciel as so that he could comprehend what was happening. Ciel could move freely, his chance to attack was here..but he couldn't muster the strength. He was beyond outmatched. So instead, Ciel asked why he was brought here. The old man smiled and explained. Ciel had caught his interest. His defiance and grandiose ideas were nothing new or interesting however, his strength was desirable. The fact he willingly threw himself down here was also an interesting, albeit foolish choice. Turns out Lucifer is the only reason Ciel made it out of wondering, guided by his unknown hand. Lucifer had known his intentions and wished to see what would happen.
Building up hope and snatching it away was the best way to break someone after all. But to his surprise, Ciel was one of the few who managed to adapt, fight and grow stronger. He even awoken into an Akki, rare beings that could escape hell on their own power..if he hadn't jumped down here. Lucifer explained he wanted to use Ciel. Reap souls for him. Spread hell to those who were susceptible to it. He wanted Ciel to grow his domain.
The idea of growing this place, of willingly putting people here just to suffer. It enraged Ciel. His humanity, his human side just couldn't allow it. It momentarily overpowered his fear and he lashed out at Lucifer's old visage but his attack stopped as if ramming into a solid brick wall. Lucifer hadn't moved and simply just smiled. He informed Ciel..this wasn't a choice. Lucifer could break ciel like a twig but he was someone who could be an asset in the future. So Lucifer instead would force his service.
Ciel's chest burst into black flames, searing him and causing great physical agony. Hellfire burn into him a single phrase "Tartarus" and then it sunk into his flesh. The pain was nigh unbearable but it was fast. While gasping on the ground Lucifer took the time to inform him that the mark he just blessed him with was, as he probably might have already guessed, was his aspect of Hell, where he drew his powers as an Akki from. He also informed him it ensures two things. One that if Ciel ever tried to commit suicide that his body would not respond to him and paralyze him, painfully even burning him as punishment or if he tried to commit suicide via someone else in a fight his body would be taken from him until he was out of danger. In otherwords suicide wasn't an option. Secondly, if he was to die and fail in his mission, his soul would not return to the normal places of hell. It would come right back to Lucifer and he would make sure to show every single hospitality to Ciel for his failure. In an instant Ciel was made a lapdog and there wasn't anything he could do about it.
Before he could ask questions the visage that represented Lucifer faded away into a black mist, a portal opened behind Ciel and sucked him out, smashing him face first into the sand of Hueco Mundo. Almost three hundred years of hell, most of which was spent in those dark pits and this was his reward. Ciel was in disbelief at his own powerlessness, of the situation. It took him a moment to realize where he was and he ran his fingers over the new scar on his chest that read "Tartarus". It seemed to be leaking shadows, as if a piece of Tartarus was embedded inside of him. Even here he could feel it's presence. It felt more like being inbetween two different worlds.
Once Ciel had regained his composure and figured out what he wanted to do. He set out towards where he remembered Las Nochas being. Ciel was angry. At himself. At everything right now. He was almost in a rage, even. The memories of his death at the Arrancar Zenkai's hands flashed through his head. Almost like the hunger he felt when he first transformed into a hollow he was driven forth. So, Ciel assaulted Las Nochas, although it didn't take very long. Essentially he busted in and intimidated the very first Arrancar he could find into pointing out where Zenkai was. His power was comparatively overwhelming so getting the information wasn't hard and no Espada seemed to be around in the moment to interfere.
When he did find Zenkai he took every bit of stored up rage he had out on him. Ciel's demonic claw ripped into his body like a savage animal. Zenkai didn't even get a chance to release his weapon. No kind words or theatrics involved. He simply tore him apart and mutilated what was left until finally he calmed down. While normally out of character for a more incontrol Ciel to act so harshly, the fact is all his suffering could be traced back to this single man who in all that time had not grown. He couldn't help himself. It also got him noticed. Ciel left Las Nochas without incident after that. It wasn't long before someone approached him nervously, having tracked him down wandering in the sands that the king of Las Nochas wanted a word.
It was here he was recruited into the Envainar. Although skeptical at the proposal at first, Ciel saw many personal benefits to it, including helping him with his future ambitions. By this time with his rage dying down Ciel had settled and gone over things. He was forced into Lucifer's service for now but that wouldn't stop him. He had plans. He would get his revenge and he would get out of this damndable situation. To him, this was the first step. Thus, Ciel the Envainar of humanity was born into the world.
