Even through the chaos Jak kept his wide smile. The symphony of explosions and destruction filled his ears. He was pleased that some of the bolts did manage to hit their target if only because of their numbers. Jak thought that the battle was now turning in his favor. While she was busy contending with the mass of spirit bolts, he was about to dive back into the fray while Yoko was distracted. He hesitated. It would seem that something internal had stopped his initial plan to attack while the iron was hot. Something fought back against the need for battle and destruction. A bit of Jak's normal mind seems to be trying to restrain his body.
That seemed to spell Jak's undoing. When Jak returned his attention to Yoko, she was defending herself against the onslaught. He could feel the sheer power that she was building up. His eyes widen as traces of fear and despair started to creep into his mind. For a moment he had thought that they were equals. He had thought that he found someone he can go toe to toe with, but it seemed that there was still a tremendous gap between his strength and hers. Jak knew, even in this state, that he could do nothing to stop her. A fresh wave of anger and rage filled him. He shouted a demonic battle cry and tried to charge her none the less, as futile it may be.
He closed the gap rapidly, but could no more reach her than a wolf howling for the moon. ”THIS IS MY EVERYTHING!” He shouted defiantly, but took the blow full force not even trying to dodge it. Jak flew back near instantly after Yoko had thrown her punch. His shouts turned from rage and defiance to pain. He was slammed into the wall lucky that he didn't go right through it. He could feel his ribs straining against the force, and a number of them, and other smaller bones breaking from the force of the punch. Once everything was over, Jak fell from the wall. He didn't even try to break his fall. His body hit the floor with a loud thud. Though it seemed that Yoko was pretty spent too.
The flames around Jak's body faded, and his body turned black like charred wood. His demon body would face away leaving his normal body behind bruised from head to toe. He groaned slightly the pain struggling to push himself off the ground. Everything hurts. He bit his lip through the pain pushing himself up into a seated position against the wall. He was breathing heavily from the effort. He looked over at Yoko, who was kneeling on the ground. Even though she was able to build up such strength, if must have been quite the strain on her, Jak thought. He was not sure how to think of his current position. She he consider it a job well done despite the loss having pushed her to such extremes.
”I think that’s quite enough for today, don’t you?” Jak nodded and laughed slightly despite the pain in his neck and ribs. Damn it hurts to laugh. "Yeah, I think im good." He said with a long sigh. He needed to just sit there for a moment. There was no getting up for the next few minutes.
