Everything was going smoothly for Ranth till he tried to stand up, as he tried he would feel the weight of a hand press down on his shoulder, suddenly two large burly men would sit down next to Ranth. Each of them holding him down with a hand on his shoulders. They sat there for a brief moment before the one on the right decided to speak. “So you like flirting with my daughter now do you? You know I know your type, the kind that like to waltz on into town and hit on the young naive girls, woo them with great tales of adventure and heroism. Offering them coin and showing off what riches they have so they can get them in their bed and then leave the next day.”
The other man who seemed to be a bit younger than the man on the right chimed in at this moment. “You see my sister is a sweet girl, and we don't like strangers like you coming here trying to charm her. Now you listen here and listen well. I don't care if you have a sword or what skills you have, if you even come near my sister again I'll kill you and I'm sure pa over here would be happy to lend me a hand as well.” The older gentleman nodded and then spoke once more. “So we made our selves clear right? Now then just make sure you keep your distance and we won't have any issues.”
With that said and done both men stood up and slowly walked away keeping an eye on Ranth as they did so. If Ranth looked at them it would be clear that in terms of size and muscle that both men easily out classed Ranth and the younger one which was the son was easily a full foot taller than him. After that incident everything seemed to go fine for Ranth there wasn't anything else that was coming towards the sheep and for the rest of the day the sheep would be lazy.
As the day started to end the old man slowly made his way up the hill and towards Ranth. By this time the sheep were being hearded back into the barn. “Well this day has ended, now for your sleeping quarters a few villagers actually said they would be happy to take you in. There's Jacques who lives at the far end of the village all by his lonesome, he's a bit of an odd one that one, but he's nice enough. Nancy was the woman who cooked the food you ate for lunch, she lives with her husband and two lovely children. Least of all I think I can spare a bedroom in my old home. It's up to you where you want to sleep for the night, you'll be waking up early tomorrow to help watch the sheep tomorrow.”
