We all remember the Quincy update, providing a large-scale rehaul of their Release and overall improving their powers and versatility. Next up on the block is the Beast-Clansman race, one that has suffered not from being weak, but from being mediocre at best. While the race itself has several notable representatives, and has seen more use than some of the others, its low spiritual ability and its restrictive Release growth puts it at best in mid-tier due to locking their strongest abilities at a high-cost, mid-Class level. Thus, Yaseishin is getting a relatively minor rehaul, improving its growth and its final results in a way that gives it an opportunity to shine more in the later game than it does now.
The major change is to the growth pattern of Yaseishin. Originally, Yaseishin started with a single technique at Class 6, and you had to spend upgrades to either unlock new techniques, increase Class, or increase from a three-post duration. Worse, new techniques started from the bottom too, so at best you got a Class 3~4 technique and maybe a Class 5 technique so you had some room for duration. But now, we're taking a new approach on things. The following changes have been made:
This change will allow for Yaseishin to grow more rapidly, letting its final Class be on par with more of the end-stage Releases like Bankai, especially since this SpPr-limited race has a lower Reiatsu pool to start with and a cost that greater than most other end-stage Releases. In exchange, however, the Class 0 bonus for the feral path, allowing for three additional Yaseishin upgrades in addition to the Class-based one, has been removed. It will be replaced in time by a new ability, a power unique to the Beast-Clansmen, but for the time being that power is in development both canonically and mechanically. Keep an eye out for the next portion of Lore of the Wild as it introduces a powerful new ability: the ability of Lineage, to draw upon the powers of one's very bloodline and the clan that started the Beast-Clan race.
Naturally, this update will allow for a major overhaul for each Beast-Clansman and their Yaseishin. CIUs may be submitted, allowing players to not only remake their techniques, but also to reset their upgrades since there has been a change to the base structure of Yaseishin. If you feel you spent an upgrade on an extra technique when you now have two more to start with, you can use that upgrade for more duration, or even a Class Up that applies to all of your techniques.
Thank you again, all of you, for working with us as we move forward and improve the various races and their abilities. Keep an eye out as we continue to move forward, with many more races to update yet.

- Originally, Yaseishin started out with only a single technique. Now, the user starts with three Class 6 techniques, as long as they all fit the theme.
- The "Level Up" Upgrade now applies to all current techniques simultaneously, meaning that a single Level Up will take all three of the base Class 6 techniques and bump them up a Class. This also includes techniques gained from the "Technique Up" Upgrade, so don't feel any new techniques will be left in the dust!
- The "Technique Up" Upgrade still does as it says, but it's even better now: any new techniques created via this upgrade will automatically match the techniques of your other upgrades. That means if you had leveled your initial techniques up to Class 3 before getting an additional one, that new technique will also be Class 3. This allows for more focus on growth as a whole instead of regarding individual parts.
