Zagreb, capital of Croatia. By all standards, rather peaceful and nice European city. One that attracted quite a bit of tourists naturally. Not everyone was here for sightseeing or pleasure. Some people were here on business. One such man was riding the cab in the city center that day. He was dressed in black suit, with black shirt, tie and shoes. He was fairly athletic, and looked quite strong. His face was serious, stern, with freckles covering his cheeks, and with naturally blonde hair. While he was stranger in Zagreb, in certain spiritual circles of the world, he would be recognized as Lightning Emperor. Indeed, this man was Gaius Magnus. As cab stopped in front of a residential building, man got out, and cab driver retrieved him his luggage, two big black duffel bags. Gaius nodded to cab driver and then paid him for the ride. As the cab drove away, he looked up. Well, third floor is mine... With that thoughts, he went inside the building, and entered the elevator. As previously arranged, a man was already in the elevator. Gaius handed him the envelope, and the man gave him a set of keys. As elevator reached third floor, Gaius nodded to the man and walked out carrying his bags. Man remained in the elevator and descended down. Quickly finding apartment number eleven, Gaius unlocked the door, and let himself in. He was here for business, but first, he unpacked one of the bags, revealing that its contents were his personal belongings. After putting them away in the closet, he made himself comfortable in the apartment. It was not too big, somewhere around forty five square meters, and consisted of one big room which was at same time living and dining room as well as kitchen. It also had a closet and a bathroom, and a small balcony. It was set up cozily, and was generally nice. Gama knew it would suit his purposes well when he rented it for a month. After all, he was bound to spend some time here in Zagreb...
After he rested, he grabbed a little black notebook of his. Turning to a page, he looked at its contents, before exclaiming to himself: "Sberbank first, why not?" Then, he got a backpack out of his other bag, and he packed some items from it into it. Those items were a cameras the size of a coin who could broadcast footage wirelessly up to a range of five hundred meters, and a tablet rigged to receive it, and also ten meters long electric cable. Then, he got out of the apartment, locking it, and headed to location of Sberbank. He was not going for any of their banks however, but for their central in Croatia, for which he knew would hold quite the amount of cash. Gaius had a list of banks who did business in Croatia, and he was here in Zagreb for one purpose. To relieve some of them from some of their money. However, first he needed to check them out, plan his move very carefully. He needed to be careful, as he was alone. He worked alone on this, and while it limited how much he could take, given the fact that he could only carry a limited amount of loot with him. Also, he had to be extra careful with how he did this. Being alone, had to handle both entrance and getaway alone. Quickly, he caught a cab, and it took him to Sberbank central. Given that there was area an area to serve clients, he entered it. It was lightly secured. There was a guard, but he was unarmed, and he was seated in a chair, his back against the wall. One entire wall, where the door was, was made out of glass, and same went for doors. Given it was a busy day, and there were lots of clients, he joined the queue, and then took to discreetly observing bank.
He noticed many things. Levels above, which probably held offices for the central, were accessible only by elevator. The place was under a surveillance of multiple cameras, and Gaius counted eight. Not much, seemingly. Also, he saw, on the wall just near where the guard was sitting a small console. Gaius recognized it. It was alarm switch. He almost laughed. Here, crime rate was so low that bank security was laughable. Gaius could do this alone indeed. A number of counters were arrayed near one wall, effectively creating restricted areas, and that is where clerks were sitting, dealing with clients. Behind them, Gaius saw a door. It was large, made out of metal, and next to it, there was a keycard reader. Those doors, he knew, were secured. What was behind them, Gaius could only guess, but he believed that access to the vaults had to be somewhere in there, as well as access to the offices. However, he couldn't slip in there to check, and he couldn't get blueprints of the building, so he would have to do this blindly. But, being blind was not the same as being ignorant. When he got to the counter, due to the queue moving, he had some of his cash transferred between his accounts, in order to be inconspicuous, and to also observe some more. After that, Gaius walked out slowly. As he was passing near the guard on his way out, he deliberately dropped his wallet, and reached down for it. That gave him time to utilize a technique he knew: Moddo Ne. With it, his Reiatsu briefly was dispersed into the floor and through it, into the walls. For the brief moment, Gaius was one with floor and wall, and he could simply feel it. He became aware of the cables running through the wall and into the console of the security system that was on the wall. Only one came from outside of the building, and Gaius knew it was power line. So, if he cut power, alarm system would go down as well. Presumably. As he got up, having picked his wallet up, he smiled.
After that, he left the bank. He did only initial piece of his preliminary check-up. He had to check other things. So, outside, he strolled around the area casually, and while he was doing that, he pulled out those cameras from backpack. Being small, they would be nearly invisible. He took a walk around the area, and planted them so he covered the area pretty well and could observe the bank. Then, he picked a building opposite to the bank, and entered it. It was few stories tall, but had a flat roof, and that is where Gaius headed. There, he found some electrical installations, and he decided it would be perfect. So, he took cable he had with him with those installations, and then placed his tablet on he ground. Through it, he observed all the cameras' footage. In real time. Then, he activated his Technique, and grabbed that cable. He used his Lighting Emperor Technique, and sent all of his electrical charge into the grid. It was so much that cable he used literally melted. But he didn't care. He was observing. He looked at the tablet. He knew he caused such chock to the electric grid that it caused block-wide blackout. And with that, bank would be left without power. He observed. His cameras shown him that indeed it left everything in the bank powerless. Even the indicator lamps on security console weren't lit up anymore. He smiled. "What amateurs..." But, Gaius knew that banks usually had backup power, so he waited. He wanted to know how long to wait for that. He measured time as well, while he waited. It took just about under three minutes for backup power to kick in. As he packed his stuff up, Gaius heard sirens in the distance. Police sirens.
Quickly, he decided to stay and observe. He kept measuring time. Around seven minutes after blackout, three police cars came. They drove quite fast, and immediately armed policemen stormed the bank, obviously believing there was robbery in the man. This was big information for Gaius. It meant there was silent alarm at the police station, and also an inverted type. Ordinary silent alarms went off as alert in police station whenever button was pressed in the bank. Inverted one relied on constant signal arriving to remain shut down. So, when signal went down, it went off in police station. It was designed to fight robbers who tried to circumvent security by cutting power. However, its bad side was that mere blackout could trigger it. Gaius laughed, and sat to wait. After roughly twenty minutes, police left, and he casually walked out of the building, and took another stroll around the area, this time discreetly picking his cameras back up. Then, he walked back to his apartment, though he was only paying attention to the roofs as he was coming back. He was planning his escape route. when he returned, he grabbed city map he had, and based on what he observed, started creating a plan. "OK, I shut power off here, then I Caelu to entrance, get in, fry alarm before their backup kicks in..." He sighed. Looking at city map, he noticed where police station was. "So, it took them seven minutes in rush hour... So I must get out of there less than five tonight... and then on the roofs... Here... and here..." As he spoke, he drew the route on the map. After that, he poured himself a glass of milk and went to sleep again.
He woke up around midnight, and decided to wait for an hour more. Around one, he dressed in black tracksuit, black sneakers, and put black leather gloves on. Then, he took a backpack, and in it, rolled four duffel bags. He also packed a single power cable, several meters long. Then, he went out of the building and took to the roofs, and using air ground and roofs, made his way to the roof he was earlier today. He looked down. Street was entirely empty, despite being in dead center of the city. However, Gaius knew it could change quickly. So he got on working. He connected the power cable to installations, and then, after checking if somebody appeared on the street, he simply activated his Lightning Emperor Technique, and sent the charge into the grid, once again causing the blackout. Cable melted away, so he didn't need to worry about it being found later. He rushed to the edge of the roof, and then immediately performed Caelumintro off the edge of it, appearing out of the step in front of bank's door. There, he immediately activated Soul Slayer, his other technique. Careful not to break the glass, he slowly scratched it with sword that appeared in his hands. Glass, having its soul slain, was rendered to dust and ash, and Gaius rushed inside. He knew he had under three minutes until backup power, and twenty seconds were gone. Quickly, he approached console, and he quickly smashed it with hilt of Soul Slayer, exposing wiring underneath it. He exposed some of it, and removed insulation, before sending another charge of his electricity into the console. This time, power surge hit the security system directly, and fried it entirely. That meant he didn't have to worry about secondary power restoring security. Almost one minute has passed.
Gaius quickly ran to the counters, and jumped over them. He approached the metal door. He still held Soul Slayer. With a quick few slashes, door suffered fate of the glass - its soul slain, and thus rendered to ashes and dust. Passing through Gaius made his way to the next room which had multiple doors. However, only one door was metal door with keycard reader, so Gaius knew it had to be the one. Again using Soul Slayer, he destroyed this door as well, and discovered behind it was the staircase descending. As almost two minutes were up, he ran down those stairs, only to find himself staring at massive steel doors at their end. Yes. He found the vault. He increased the Level of Soul Slayer, and had to suppress his cry of pain as third degree burns were inflicted on his hand for holding it. However, he approached the vault door, and then, with Soul Slayer, quickly destroyed it and rendered it to ash too. Inside, there were a lot of vault boxes, and it was time to fill up. Gama knew he had just about minute and a half for that, and then one minute to get out. So, he quickly deactivated Soul slayer, and instead summoned his Stand. Then taking out duffel bags, directed his stand to take vault boxes and smash them open, and then they jointly took cash out of them and into the bags. And then he also filled the backpack. It was quite the take, but getting it out would not be easy. Gaius directed his Stand to put his backpack on itself, and then to pick up bags. Stand, being incredibly strong, could do it easily. Then, they both ran out of the building as soon as they could. Gaius could already hear sirens nearby, so he immediately used Caelumintro to propel himself to the roof of the building he was on before, and he also directed Stand to jump there.
Stand did so, but given that it couldn't use Caelumintro, it merely jumped with all of its strength, leaving broken concrete where it previously stood. From there, it was a smooth ride. Running from roof to the roof until they made it to the apartment. They softly landed on the balcony of it, which Gaius intentionally left open, and then, when they were inside, he dissolved Stand, and then took to what he had to do. First off, he took off his clothes he wore, and then, he took bandages he had and some balm and after applying it to his hands, bandaged them. They hurt quite a lot. However, he did lousy job on it, absolutely terrible, but well, it was better than nothing. Then, drained by using his Techniques and Stand, he simply dropped on the couch to rest until tomorrow. When he got up, he opened bags with loot, and carefully counted it, taking notes. When he counted it, he took his notebook, and then crossed out Sberbank out of the list. After that, he took out his phone, and made several calls. He didn't exactly had use for the euros he robbed. No, he needed something else, and he had to dig a bit to get what he wanted. After about an hour of phone calls, he had it all set up. Relieved that it was set up, he took a shower and changed, and then he waited. After a few hours, his phone rang, and that was the signal. Gaius picked up the bags, in which he packed his loot, and slowly carried them to the elevator. He descended and then he left the building. He had to do it outside.
And outside, a black SUV was waiting. It was kinda odd though, for SUV had markings of a courier company on it, but Gaius knew what it was about. As he approached it, driver got out, and then opened the trunk of the SUV. Silently, Gaius placed all of his loot in the trunk. Driver, blankly looking at him, nodded, and then handed him an envelope. Gaius nodded to him, and they parted. Driver got back in the SUV and drove away, while Gaius headed inside. When he got inside, he pulled out a bottle and poured himself a glass of wine. Then, he sat down and opened envelope. Inside of it was money, the spiritual currency, Ryo. Gaius counted it, and everything was there, not one Ryo missing. However, it made him unhappy. Exchange rate, that is. Simply put, exchange rates between Ryo and other currencies were, criminal. However, Gaius couldn't do anything about that. He put Ryo back in the envelope, and took a sip of wine. "Damn Ryo, why must it be so over-valued?"
After he rested, he grabbed a little black notebook of his. Turning to a page, he looked at its contents, before exclaiming to himself: "Sberbank first, why not?"
