The Last Dance [Social/Training, PG13]

[Kisala Shihoin]

Kisala nodded in understanding at the Kawada's answer. She was all too aware of his position and the pressure that he was under. She was just amazed that he was able to be so calm and comfortable despite it all. She knew that she would crack under that kind of pressure long before him. She noticed his shift in attention when Sozen asked him what he wanted, and replied that he was sent by one of his superiors. 

At this Kisala had to roll her eyes. She was not sure that his wording was because she was standing there, or if he was always this vague, but it always annoyed her. If someone wanted something just be straight forward about it. Well it wasn't really something that she had to concern herself with, she thought. His request was directed to the captain, and not her, so to her that meant that she was pretty much eavesdropping at that point. 

When he left, Kisala was getting rather tired. She had been in this dress and shoes for hours. Her feet were killing her, and it looked like everything was starting to wind down anyway. She turned to Sozen to thank him for his time when he spoke again. "I want you to come with me on this mission tomorrow," She just looked at him. Why would he need her to come with him? Sure a powerful hollow was nothing to scoff at, but it was Sozen they were talking about. What use could she be?  "In the early morning as the sun begins to rise, meet me outside of the Squad 6 barracks, at the very entrance. There, we will begin on our way to investigate the pyramids on the outskirts of the Soul Society."

Kisala had to consider it an order, but it was one of those orders that she couldn't help but want to fallow. She was sure that she could get away from her duties around squad 2 long enough to take care of this. Captain Harley should be understanding when Kisala mentioned that it was from Sozen personally. Kisala bowed low at the waist. "Yes sir, I won't be late I promise." As she bowed a wide smile grew across her elegant tanned face. She was exited more so than she has been in a long time.

That night she could hardly sleep. She stayed up that night reading up of the pyramids, well what little there was on them. Sure they were not the focus of their mission, but they were an interesting subject. Why would a hollow prowl around there? Kisala fell asleep in the study of the Shihoin manor using one of the books she was reading as a pillow. The first lights of the sun brought her back to the waking world in a panic. She was late, very very late.

Kisala scrambled to get everything together. She got all her equipment and got into her uniform strapping her Zanpakuto to her hip. She dashed down the halls, and out of the manor to the Squad 6 barracks. It looks like she might just be on time after all. She hoped that she did not disappoint the captain. She would skid to a stop trying to fix her appearance. Her hair was in its usual mess. She had been trying to keep it better in accordance to her position, but she didn't really care. She wiped the sweat from her face and waited for the captain to come out of the barracks. Her chest heaved breathing heavily, which slowly started to slow as she recovered.

Plotline: [Sozen Kuchiki has taken Kisala Shihoin along for a mission. Why? Well, let's call it a hunch that her alliance will be something worthwhile in years to come. For now, there is this mission. A criminal gang that the Kawadas want to see killed for some reason. They call themselves "Big Bad Bitchin'." Sozen is too recognizable, so he has sent Kisala into their barracks to request joining them. She will infiltrate and find their leaders, so that Sozen can take them out. That's where she finds herself now. She's inside of the barracks, asking the gang if she can join. But, is there more to this than meets the eye?]

[Kisala Shihoin]

Kisala was sitting on a chair waiting to see if she had been accepted into this gang or not. She would have perfered a more direct approach to dealing with criminals. Track them down and put them to the blade if they don't surrender, but this was an order from captain Sozen, so she really had no choice than to comply. He said he saw something in her. She wasn't so sure, but now was far too late to worry about such things.

Kisala of course did not wear her Shinigami uniform. She would be wearing a simple white tank top and black pants. Other than that she looked pretty much the same as she always have. Her skin was the color of bronze like all Shihoin she knew. Her short, off white hair was in a complete mess, just as she liked it. Her eyes were a bright orange glaring daggers at anyone who's eyes were focused a little too low. He body was pretty muscular giving her an athletic appearance.

She was pretty relaxed. She leaned in her chair crossing her arms against her chest. Her Zanpakuto was in its sealed form, which is the first time since she was able to use Shikai. Her Zanpakuto spirit objected to the restricted form. The free spirited spirit wanted to be in its natural form, but Kisala feared it would be too recognizable in its released form. It took quite some time, but she did managed to calm Hariken enough to put up with it for now. 

[Sozen Kuchiki]

A large, hulking figure approached from behind Kisala. His arm slid comfortably around her shoulders, and the weight of it came to rest on her. He was big, and his arm weighed a lot. Even for a Soul Reaper like her, it would feel heavy. His arm was also almost as large as her torso. Equally intimidating. He was huge. As he leaned in close to her, he spoke, and she would feel his shallow breathing next to her ear. His breath reeked of alcohol. "Hey there, pretty lady..." he said to her in a slow, slurred voice. He was big, but he was also very drunk. The typical kind of scum bag you find in these sorts of organizations.

"What's a cute little thing like you doing in here?" he asked her. And he leaned in closer, as if he was going to put his mouth somewhere on her face or her neck. Instead, he sniffed her, as if evaluating whether or not he was attracted to her. "You want some of Big Daddy?" he asked in his slow, slurred speech. Sitting at a desk in the room, and having no response elicited from the large man hitting on Kisala, there was a slender figure, likely a woman as well, with a white mask and red hood. If Kisala knew anything about the underworld, she'd know that this woman was Basilisk, a famous criminal responsible for the death of one of Xcution's Seven Guns.

Since she did not respond to the flirting, she either expected Kisala to take care of herself, or she thought Kisala was weak and that the man would just take advantage of her. It came down to feeling and to experience. What did Kisala think the silence meant and what did she want to do? Basilisk was obviously strong. Her involvement meant that this wasn't a small time organization. No wonder Sozen Kuchiki himself had been called in. However, if he had sent in Kisala instead of going in himself, he must really enjoy his chances of facing these people, so they couldn't be all that powerful if Sozen didn't feel threatened.

[Kisala Shihoin]

Kisala felt the presance of the person behind her before she felt his arm around her shoulders. She still stiffened at the contact, but she could not say that she was not expecting this. The breath of the man assaulted her nose more so than just the smell of alcohol which made a shiver run down her spine. It wasn't that some lowly criminal was this close to her that repulsed her, she figured that most people would be repulsed by him man or woman.

Kisala scowled when he sniffed her. She could handle the drunken flirting and casual physical contact. She had been around people in the Rukongai enough to get used to it, but that was entering creeper territory, and that was where she drew the line. She turned her head to look at him with a pleasant smile on her face. She didn't like not having her attention to the other woman in the room, but figured she could spare the quick few seconds to deal with this guy.

"Sorry big D but..." In one fluid motion, Kisala grabbed her sword and smashed the handle into the side of his knee buckling it. She would then bring the sheathed blade around to clock the man on along the jaw. That should be enough to knock him out given his drunken state, and catching him off guard. "I don't think you can handle what I've got." When he hit the floor, Kisala turned back to the woman sitting in front of her putting her sword back down beside her. 

She had heard a little bit of this woman, but most of it was second hand knowledge. That meant that the information may not be entirely accurate, but it was clear that she was strong. For the sake of the act she pretended not to really notice, or pay it less mind. It was her that she needed to gain acceptance from as far as she knew. A quick thought of Sozen flashed across her mind wondering the reasoning behind the plan, but in the end she had to roll with it. 

[Sozen Kuchiki]

The guy was pretty big. At least, big enough that knocking him out was impossible with just one hit. But, that didn't mean that he couldn't be hurt, and it didn't mean he was getting up any time soon. Kisala shattered his jaw and his nose, and he fell back crying out in pain. Something escaped his lips along the lines of, "AAAAHHH... MY FACE... YOU BITCH, MY FACE..." Something like that. His whole thing was that he had just been brutally savaged by Kisala. Well, come on. What did he expect? Drunk and hitting on some kind of warrior in that way? Size wasn't gonna help, there, buddy.

Basilisk looked keenly at Kisala, now. At least, maybe she was looking. Because of the way her mask was designed, Kisala couldn't actually see Basilisk's eyes, so she would have no clue what the woman was thinking about. However, Basilisk's face was pointed toward Kisala, indicating that maybe, just maybe, the criminal was staring intently on the tan skinned girl that had just brought down the drunk, Brutish man. Was there going to be punishment? Retribution? No, that couldn't be. Basilisk would have stopped Kisala ages ago if wounding that big, Sloppy Joe over there really made any sort of difference.

Ignoring her wounded subordinate, Basilisk finally spoke to Kisala. "You're stronger than most of my grunts," Basilisk admitted. But it wasn't a real compliment, because Basilisk had others who were stronger than that, too. And Basilisk was also strong herself. She was just saying something for the sake of opening a statement up. "But tell me, why do you want to join us? We are agents of darkness. And you, your heart is full of light, and purity. You can still be naive, and good. You're still young." Something in the way that Basilisk said that seemed less like a challenge and more like a real question.

Basilisk didn't give off any reiatsu at all, either. She was flawless at hiding it. perfectly adept. It was as if Kisala had 0 energy sensory. No, less than that. As if she couldn't detect anything on the spiritual plane, period. But she could detect one or two things. Just, she couldn't detect Basilisk. Was Basilisk just on a higher level, or was it more than that? Was it a hiding spell? Well, anyway, Kisala had the woman's question to answer. Basilisk might be evaluating her on the answer. The woman reached under her desk. For what? A weapon, maybe? She was reaching as Kisala was answering.

[Kisala Shihoin]

Kisala had no reaction to the woman's "compliment". She knew full well that there would be others far stronger than who she just took down, and those even stronger than her. "But tell me, why do you want to join us? We are agents of darkness. And you, your heart is full of light, and purity. You can still be naive, and good. You're still young." Kisala couldn't help but hold back a soft chuckle. "It may be true that Nativity is bliss, but the good those two things are for is getting people killed." She started looking at the woman with steel in her orange eyes. "I have seen people die in many gruesome way, so i don't think my innocence is something that can be salvaged."

She shook her head returning her gaze to the masked woman. "No, I am not content with sitting around waiting for whatever is going to happen to get me killed. If I am going to die, It will be on my own terms, and how i want to die. I have seen what the shinigami do, and I for one am not satisfied. So if they are not the solution who is?" She asked rhetorically. Oddly enough some of what she said wasn't even a lie. It was how she truly felt. Most of it was because of the situation, but she did know that she would much rather face her death head on fighting, than sitting quietly in some pampered house doing nothing about it. It was that kind of mentality that did get her into trouble.
