The two Shinigami upon leaving the room would find themselves in hallways fashioned from what appeared to be sapphire gems, glistening brilliantly as light filtered in from crystalline windows, reflecting in many majestic colors to fill the place with a sort of rainbow hue. However, the crystals and walls were cold to the touch, like death gripping a corpse. They were dry, yet still cold. This castle was not made of crystals. It was made of ice. Everything around them was fashioned from ice. As soon as they left the study, the temperature noticeably dropped several degrees, chilling them. Their breath became visible.
When they were out of the room, the Quincy were all waiting for them. These Quincy handed the Shinigami their Zanpakuto, kept sheathed, and did not follow them as they left. The way to the main entrance and the exit were easy enough to find. The hallways leading there were very large. The Quincy that handed the blades to the Shinigami snickered as they did, cackling. They laughed at the two Lieutenants, all the way until the two walked away and were no longer in distance to be able to hear the laughter of the Quincy. The whole thing stank. The atmosphere was wrong.
On the way, there was the exit. However, there was also a doorway near it, even larger than the exit itself. It was to the side and mounted on a wall, a single enormous door which exceeded even the huge double door entrance in size. It looked easy enough to open, though. It was massive, and it had markings in some sort of language, probably German, that the Shinigami would not be able to read. Would curiosity get the better of them? No one was there or watching. They could leave, or check in that door first. There was no telling what was behind it. It was a chance to get intel on the enemy.
