Physical Description:
Imposing. Such is the word that comes to mind as eyes meet this unusually pigmented woman. Heritage not particularly clear, her almost crimson skin is distracting, and glaringly prominent as the attentions strays instantly to what, typically, is the only skin showing from the woman at eye level: Her head. Adorned with brilliantly white hair that is so wildly styled so as to starkly contrast the refined and business-like attire that she so typically adorns herself with. Sharp features and a fang that seems to almost give her a monstrous look as though a fabled oni had found itself in present time and taken place before the viewer.
Almost constantly do a set of half-rimmed glasses nestle upon the bridge of her nose, showing off a considerable air of poignancy tinged with a sharp wit that almost drew blood from the retinas of those gazing upon her. She was not tired or angry as so many artless businesswomen so draped across their features, but she so wore a look of idle disappointment that so laced her looks that one might feel ashamed to have caught her glance. This is her mask, and it is her public face to all those that she finds in the mob of everyday encounter. It is her shield and her sword with which she fights for her company and so presents herself to her enemies.
In this battle of manners and witticisms she so garbs herself in finery of a business nature. From full suits to dress uniforms that give her the most esteemed essences of professionalism. A look that so declares "I don't see you, you are nothing, you have no worth. No Presence. No mass with which to find yourself a place in my expanse of attention. I don't even know you are there, but if I did: I'd ignore you." Such was simply her air, and her most favored attire gives a stunning example of such an impression. A Stark black blazer over a clean white button-up, framing the very top of a tightly knotted white tie. Flowing down with rigid geometry to the smooth slopes of loose khaki slacks that all but completely obscure a set of shiny black work shoes.
Beneath all of that finery, and behind the doors that separate business from her luxury time, there lies a far different girl, for indeed outside of the confines of sophisticated meeting she does so give off a very different, girlish air. Pleasantry spills across that red-velvet skin of hers and bends those lips like the curve of a bow into the most playful of smiles, lips that almost seem to curl at either end like a bad villain's mustache. Eyes that typically look with scorn and disinterest find warmth and a radiance within those soft blue-green hues that simply oozes a coy enjoyment as though by her gaze alone she were to extend an invitation to play with her oh so exclusively.
It is in this more casual of settings that more of her is seen. A variety of outfits showing more skin, and even playing with the color of her normally-white hair, dyed when she knows that work will be kept at bay for an extended period of time. Shoulders that seem ever-so stiff beneath uniform now seem soft and feminine, a smooth curvature flowing down into slender arms that seem delicate and wonderful. Fingers otherwise held meticulously stringent now take on a fluidity that one might see in a conductor or a maestro.
As the eyes travel down danger begins to saturate the air, as no doubt that crimson flesh draws the eyes to other parts of the anatomy. The slim of her torso belies a weak and rather pampered life, though just beneath that very thin film of fat lies hidden muscle and sinew, a body tempered by subtle training of cardio and aerobics as opposed to strength training of any kind. Just as one would seek out the line of her ribs, and indeed might seem to be reaching for the hard bone beneath a very thin layer of flesh, a brief tension and muscles small and thin would suddenly come alive to briefly bunch and define themselves under that imploring finger, likely soon to be followed by a very inquiring fist to the temple, as if to ask what the fuck you think you're doing. But of course, this would be done with that ever-playful smile of amusement.
Down past the soft expanse of torso comes the length that so defines her locomotion. Legs that sashay and stride confidently, they too holding a hidden layer of muscle beneath that supple smoothness to them, a deceptive anatomy that so relies on her relaxation to keep from showing definition and belying the work she puts into her body to maintain a level of fitness and strength so as to protect herself, and the most dangerous of her body the legs, that in one motion could curl and slide along the ground, allowing her to glide effortlessly across the floor like a ghost, and in the same motion snap across the face and shatter the nasal bridge and any semblance of a left cheek. Indeed this is the most lavish and enrapturing segment of her form and indeed the strongest.
And yet so rarely are they so displayed as even in the pool or beach a towel or cloth finds itself stylishly draped about her waist to so obscure the soft curvature of derriere that would otherwise no doubt draw the eyes of many an ambitious youth just as much as those expressive legs of hers could. And yet she never so casually or thoughtlessly displays her lower section, as such is the oasis, a place that holds what many might desire, yet so holds a place of fear and injured self-esteem. It is a part of her she is most critical of, and indeed many would consider it the most sacred of places. With both bottom and lap involved, there is much that people find enjoyment herein, and thus she keeps them shrouded, to keep the imagination flowing, and to obscure what she does indeed have to offer, and in her mind: not much.

-Personality-
Dislikes:
-Cigarettes: They are disgusting, ugly, vulgar little sticks of death. That being said she herself used to smoke when she was younger, and thankfully quit early. These days however she cannot smell the smoke without feeling nausea.
-Interruptions to Work: Meticulous in nature when it comes to work, she does not enjoy being interrupted in the process of conducting business. she has no patience for obstructions. No Tolerance for obstacles. Work is her way of functioning, of forgetting everything she doesn't want to think about. Getting in the way of that is a dangerous game.
-Stubborn People: A major annoyance to her. It was always the stubborn, the bigoted, the type of person that sits watching TV while angrily downing a bottle of gin, sneering at those they deem unclean, unworthy, or simply unpleasant. Any threat to their frail little egos. These people get in the way, demanding their way in order to get anything from them. People like this need....correction. They need guidance. They need taking care of.
-Soldiers: Warriors and Martyrs. Those that fight for their causes. Fighting against the 'common enemy'. Individuals who follow along people stronger than them, toting around their own agenda in hopes that their goals will be filled in along the way. OF course, every now and then, one of these types will impress her, and she does so enjoy such surprises, however sparse they may be.
-The Subject of her Skin: She does her best to hide this dislike, but really she has grown very tired of it. Insults. Taunts. Compliments. Flirting. It's all grown quite old. That her unique nature be so fixated upon. Women seeking to be comforting. Men seeking to be some sort of Knight. Her hair, her eyes, her personality. All take back seat to the one thing that nobody shuts the fuck up about.
-The Unadaptive: She takes work to work, and has an air of professionalism. On the flip side she knows how to relax and how to have fun. She enjoys the people who know how to do business and those that know how to party. It's just ever so.....annoying, when they don't know when to transition. People that interrupt her work life with her casual life, and vice versa.
-Oranges: They hurt her teeth and tend to make her a bit nauseous.
-The 'Rogues': There's a lot of things she dislikes. Little things. Pet Peeves. Annoyances. But there is one thing she does truly despise, something that sickens her more than all the rest. The 'Bad'. Rogues who think the world was hard on them. Those that are 'hardened' and use that jaded personality to get somewhere. She's heard it so many times before. The unfeeling tough guys, the souls who were wounded, and so become special little heroes in their mind. They believe the world works as they think, as they have come to believe. And so they continue to act up. And ....disrupt... business.
-Shinigami: It's not that she hates them. She dislikes them, specifically dislikes. And really one coudl say it's hardly the shinigami themselves that she dislikes. She hates the way they...tend to act. Nobles especially she detests with their honor and their demand for respect. Really it puts her off, and if there is anything she hates, it is someone telling her that they deserve her respect. As a citizen of the rukongai this only gets worse as they CONSTANTLY interfere with her business.
Of course, this soon evolved into a full on hatred.
-Higher-people Problems: Oh this guy doesn't like me. Oh these people don't agree with my belief system. Oh people are so rude to me. I deserve better than this. Me me me. Ever since arriving in Sereitei, she has had a very stark relationship with problems. She realized how futile and meaningless her old problems were, how horrible life was for others. The kind of suffering that happens outside of whiny humans. Of course, as of late in the silbern this has only magnified. The problems of the few do not compare to the plight of his majesty.
-Akki: The few she has run into tend to be...unpleasant. Not only in their psychosis and strange neuroticisms, but in the fact that they seem to do...nothing but 'evil' things. She detests their general outlook on things, the way their twisted minds perceive their surroundings. It's just stupid.
-Seki Seki: Cheap bullshit is what it is. She encountered it naturally in the Wasteland once, some sort of dump left by some shinigami. She immediately disliked it once she saw what it did. She had it destroyed and was....not so upset when the shinigami that tried protecting it wound up dying.
-Being Misunderstood: She very much hates when people get the wrong idea about her. Wether it's what she does, what she has as her goals, or what kind of person she is, she just...doesn't enjoy people that look at her and immediately make a wild assumption, especially when that assumption is vocalized in the form of an insult.
-Light: Perhaps it would be quaint to say that she does not dislike light. It is useful, in fact it is very important for life. But in that very same motion, it was her first exposure to light as a little girl that caused her skin to redden, and her hair to lighten. It was light that has forever shone on her, exposing her, prying at her. At every turn, she was thrown into the light, to be admired. To be lusted for. To be hated.
-Sozen Kuchiki:
She has come to loathe this man. Especially given that the individual seems to absolutely relish in slapping his own disgusting name on things. With all of the Kuchiki adoptions and that famous Kuchiki pride, she has no doubt that no matter how or where she gains any strength, because of his careless abandond when dealing with her, he will DOUBTLESSLY take credit for however strong she gets, an annoyace which has driven itself so deep into her soul that it's dangerously close to altering her powers.
-Squad Six:
Fuck them AND their Captain. Originally Nola thought that JUST Sozen Kuchiki was a dick. NOPE! Turns out the entire squad is dedicated to torture. As such Nola has developed an intense distaste not only for Sozen, but his entire squad as well, and now vehemently avoids them. In fact, her shift from Squad 1 to the Omnitsukido was a decision based entirely upon the prospect that she would actually have the opportunity to execute Sozen someday, and in the meantime, would get to keep his ridiculous squad in check under the orders of the 46. Especially given for some god awful reason that the Omnitsukido for some reason likes him. Meaning that any operations involving squad six members will probably not be all that popular. At least ONE member will be volunteering for those missions.
Likes:
-Business: It helps her stay calm. Helps her stay anchored to her reality. There's a lot she has to deal with in terms of her past, and work helps her deal with that, by focusing her mind on something, and as a result she's become very successful. She would never trade her work in, she needs it.
-Relaxation:When she is off work she enjoys kicking back and relaxing completely. Once work mode is off she turns it all the way off. Plain and simple.
-The Beach: She loves the Beach. She herself having a condo by the shore it takes nothing at all for her to get some nice quiet time to relax. And not to mention every now and then she can spend some time at a public beach. Always a fun time.
-Fine Sand:Not the gritty stuff. Normal sand of course is not too pleasant. But the finer grained sand, that's the kind she likes. The kind that she can sink her feet into and let the dust glide along her skin and spill back out onto the ground between her toes.
-Fine Company: Luxurious decorum, youthful company, an environment that is anything pleasant. Distractions and an atmosphere conducive to what she's doing, be that the casual environment of her off-time, and a clean and modern environment for her business time. In addition to the decorum, this involves individuals as well. People who are not simply attractive, but with personalities that work well with her and help her relax. More often than not in her company she takes such individuals under her wing and takes them with her as she rises in power and influence.
-The Moon:She's always had a fascination with the moon, and as such she has quite come to enjoy things associated with it. While she certainly does not flaunt the objects, she has a number of items themed toward it. Moonstones, Moondust, jewelry depicting the moon and it's phases.
-Profit:She is a simple creature. Be it from her partying or from her Job. What she seeks is to come out on top, to better herself and her situation, and to make money and accrue power and control. There is no favor from Nola. You owe her or you pay her. If there's nothing to be made she will rarely involve herself in a situation.
-Alone Time: No, not THAT kind of alone time. She enjoys having time to think. Even if it causes her to....panic a little. She finds that letting it out a little now and then, even if it terrifies her, is healthy for her. So long as nobody is around, she will typically let herself let go of all the chaos and hecticness around her. She empties her head and just lets herself think.
-Beast Clan: Perhaps one of the more perplexing races she finds them to be incredibly interesting to hang around. They have unusual habits and quirks, some taking a while to be able to speak properly, but still she finds their presence very refreshing.
-The Color Black: Given her skin color one shouldn't be so surprised that she likes the contrast between her skin and anything of a darker color that she can wear. Not only that, but it is the only color that can completely and utterly obliterate light.
-Sunglasses at Night: A song she really cannot get enough of. While the lyrics are not entirely sensical, she doesn't really care. She loves the beat, the way it's sung, and really she can often be found tapping, humming, or sometimes even singing to the beat of this rather old song.
Flaws:
-Unique:With her more...unusual aspects it is very hard to be taken seriously and sometimes she is even discriminated against due to her unusual look, be it positive discrimination or Negative, she hates both of them. Even in Hueco Mundo she stands out like a sore thumb, her hair and skin alone drawing the eyes of those around her, making a spectacle of herself and drawing the hungry eyes of those around her. Even if the more nefarious urges are not there, the staring bothers her in that she wishes it was something that was earned. She wants to be looked at because of who she is, not what she looks like.
-The Titty Monster:Perhaps something a bit more...childish. When she was little she said she wanted to grow up like her Aunts and wanted to have big breasts. To avert her from this silly notion they told her that big-breasted women didn't always start that way, but were actually victims of the Titty Monster, a horrible monster that visits little girls as they get older and steal something special about them and instead gives them large breasts. It can be anything from talent to intellect, or even their hopes and dreams. Since then, even as an adult, she is slightly afraid of the Titty Monster and as such this alienates her slightly from women with large breasts.
-Work Work Work:When at work or handling any sort of business of such a type, she almost always focuses entirely upon what it is she is doing. In this state she is almost completely no fun and is very hard to convince to be pleasant or do anything that would be recreational. Only the closest of friends are typically capable of distracting her unless she is in an already compromised state.
-Play Play Play:While not as serious and hard to get out of as her Work mode, she is rather...uninhibited when in this mode as well and will even partake in activities she normally would not when in this little mood. Be it relaxing and pushing everything else off until it's scheduled time to just outright partying, she is typically not very interested in what others have to do unless they are friends of hers, which is a very rare type of person.
-Vicious:
Since the Nixing of the old Nola Personality (or rather the broken shell of herself that was being protected from a lot of very unpleasant memories) Nillia/Nola has come to be an aggressively vicious individual.....that she always was before her mental breakdown. Returning to her old ways, Nola has developed a ridiculous ammount of vicious intent, thanks to a brand new intense ability to remember her old training. Of course this does not mean she is an overly cruel or even mean person. Most of the time she is still largely a casual and laid back person. She simply has....developed her professional attitude. In addition to being incredibly serious about work, she is also nincredibly serious when it comes to taking somebody down. As a result of this its very hard to actually spar with her.
Habits:
-Adjusting her Glasses: Being Far-sighted she typically spends a lot of time adjusting her glasses whenever she turns her attention to something that is close to her as she otherwise keeps them slightly below eye level so as to be able to easily see things that are far away. Even when she is not shifting her attention she will sometimes simply fiddle with them, constantly shifting her ability to see things close up or far away
-Deadpan:Often when confronted with a point of view that she finds illogical or simply stupid, rather than argue she has a habit of briefly staring at an individual and remaining silent, as if giving them ample time to realize the flaw in their logic or to simply let the weight of their own words sink into them. The duration of this varies but tends to correspond to just how stupid their words were.
-Emotionless Flirting:Ironically, she does not only flirt when she is in her playful mode and sometimes will flirt at work. However when doing so this tends to be delivered in a very flat tone and usually comes off as a command or an angry demand as opposed to a genuine flirt. This is especially prevalent since her arrival in Las Arenas as she tends to flirt a little with her fellow Keepers in this...unusual way. Surprisingly, this goes over far better with hollows and other spiritual beings than with Humans.
-Not Smiling at Work:At least not a happy smile. But even the conniving, predatory smile she is capable of unleashing in her work mode are far and sparse in her daily routine and even when they do occur they are not easily noticed unless one knows what to look for. This adds to her incredibly cold aura she tends to give off when she is focused on a job, especially given her new carreer as a Keeper. Due to the nature of her work she often deals with heinous crimes. Due to her casual nature when not on the job, individuals will often try to use humor to sway her. This tends not to work.
Fears:
-Bounts:A fear she has come to terms with, though one she is very ashamed of. During her time as an orphan, the staff had a particular...penchant for instilling fears into the orphans. A sort of sick gambling. They would choose things from a hat, and see if they could actually make them legitimately afraid of it. One of the more noteworthy workers bet on it being Vampires, but lost. Feeling somewhat cheated, they decided to do their best to make her afraid of them anyway. Telling her horrible stories and legends about the bount people, she instilled Nola with the belief that no only would they steal her money, but her soul, virginity, and her personality from her. While as an adult she knows this is ridiculous, she can't help but be slightly involuntarily apprehensive around them.
-Dying Alone:Despite all of her coldness when working, and all of the reckless partying, there is actually, beneath all of that, a fear that one day, she'll drive everyone away from her, and be left alone with nothing but the throne of accomplishments she's come to accrue. No love. No Friends, just worthless, cold cash. She is a strong woman with a powerful will. However, if she truly believes someone is capable of making her happy and that person dangles the carrot of their eternal company before her, she will do almost anything to be with them forever.
-Being Seen Naked:A surface fear instilled by the other girls in the orphanage. As a young woman she was often tricked and pranked because of her skin, and many a time she would shower or bathe and find her clothing stolen. And what with her glaring skin, it was impossible to sneak around and get new ones. Constantly being ostracized and punished by the staff for this, as well as her incredible unwillingness for anyone to find out her secret, she is deathly afraid of letting anyone see all of her naked. Ironically, this is why she dresses so scantily when relaxed and why she loves the beach, being close to naked, but not actually naked scares her a little and she enjoys the thrill. However if she accrues battle damage and her clothing becomes tattered or destroyed, she will retreat or even concede rather than continue fighting naked.
Goals:
-Cook:Learning to cook is something she did at an early age, but she only ever learned to make simple things, and even to this day is a mediocre cook at best. She really wants to learn to not just get good at cooking, but good enough to really impress someone. The idea of cooking for someone is something she holds close to heart. The kids that would play with her always bragged how wonderful their mother's cooking was and she always wanted to be that mom, the Mom who was an amazing cook. When she was still living with her aunts, she had an Aunt that could cook things that were just fantastic. She was a master at her craft and everything that passed over a pan or a skillet that she held seemed to burst with flavor and life. One day she hopes to be as good a cook as she, and to share the food she makes with those she cares about.
-Leadership:She always loved her time in the military, and quite honestly even though she has become quite successful in the world of business, she often thinks back to the days when she worked with the military, and she'd always held the fantasy of being promoted to something high-end such as a Lieutenant or even a Major at some point, though as it were, her company comes first, though the idea of starting up a privately owned military organization has somewhat appealed to her, however implausible a goal it is.
Alignment: Quincy
Overall Personality:
As a former member of the military and the CEO of a company, she can be quite commanding. When approached in the setting of a business meeting or some other formal setting, she can seem quite stringent and regimented, maintaining a meticulous and straight-forward demeanor, typically remaining rigid in both her speech patterns as well as the manner in which she moves her body, taking sharp accurate motions and placing a good amount of finesse and grace into her actions and words, wielding her wit as a fencer would her piece. As such she is typically seen as unfriendly, cold, and even uncaring when it comes to this sort of environment and were it not for her incredible diligence and work ethic she would likely not be as respected by her workers as she is.
Additionally, in this setting she has a bit of a no-nonsense attitude and while she may not go out of her way to ruin the fun of others, usually, she typically has a sense of deadpan about her. Though ironically, she DOEs have somewhat a sense of humor, though in such an environment she delivers her humor with such a lack of any comedic indication that it can sometimes be mistaken for blunt sarcasm or discontent. Because of this she tends not to make as many business deals with corporations that have CEOs that prefer a more personal touch until she has time to observe them. If her job DOES dictate such a lax attitude, she is surprisingly apt at transitioning to such a mood and pulling it off quite well when need be.
In stark contrast, when she is away from work she is amazingly lax and playful, being a bit of a slob in her own home when it comes down to it, though she does periodically clean her place to keep it manageable. In such a mood she is very approachable and will even go out of her way to interact and have fun with others, having very little qualms about indulging in various activities though she does draw the line at substances that would damage her body over time. When approached, she typically is quite friendly in this state and even tends to be rather flirtatious, especially when at the beach, which is one of her favorite places to hang out as she enjoys wearing her bathingsuit.
But these are just parts of her, the parts of her that she holds up to the light and lets be seen. There is another part of herself, so deeply drenched in memory and darkness that it only ever comes to light when that sharp mind of hers can no longer keep turning, can no longer keep ignoring it, can no longer come to keep at bay the flood of memories, urges, thoughts, that had saturated that one part of her life, a part of her life in which she did things that she has no wish to remember. But even so, that part of her has been force to the light. It is a set of instincts and emotions that she has come to name, a part of herself she has so dubbed: Nillia.
Nillia is not a separate personality, but is simply treated as such as a means of dissociation. So far as she is concerned, she is no longer the woman that did all those terrible things, and simply cast away those parts of herself that Nillia was known for. Unlike Nola, Nillia was a horrible, malicious, terrible person. Above just killing those she was ordered to during her time as a contracted agent, she also committed other atrocities. In a time when murder was ok, and in fact something she was supposed to do, the lessons she had been taught by her aunts all those years ago simply fell to the floor, unimportant and forgotten. She didn't need them, all she needed to do was: Whatever she wanted.
In addition to being a murderer and a sadist, Nillia had a particular habit of being.....kind. Warm. Loving, and almost motherly. She never had a scary face, she never snarled or hissed. She killed people whilst looking at them like they were her own children. Sang them lullabies while they choked on their own blood, and made them call her 'mother' as she broke their bones and snapped their tendons. Such was the manner that Nillia operated. She fell in and out of love with every single person she murdered. In the few seconds that usually transpired when she was in the process of murdering someone, she would for but a moment, love them with all of her heart. She would try to imagine all of the things they had ever done, the people they had encountered, the happiness they had sewn, and she would think of all the things they could ever do in the future, and with all of the good that they had, or could have done in her mind, she smothered it with her own two hands.

-Powers-
Fighting Style:
As a combatant, Nola takes a considerable amount of precaution in the manner with which she fights. Mainly due to her limited vision without her glasses, she tends to try and gauge her enemy while she still has them before initiating her shikai. As a result of this, she is somewhat hesitant to use shikai and will often use her other abilities to try and forestall it's use. This makes her a little reliant upon non-release techniques and abilities when she is in combat with an individual she doesn't particularly think she needs to release against, meaning that if she underestimates her opponent, however rare it is for such a thing to occur, she will sometimes refrain from using shikai until later in the fight and will sometimes sustain early damage as a result.
When unreleased, Nola will typically use weapons outside of her Bow and arrows, and sometimes even improvised weapons in the stead of her bow in the interest of remaining combat-capable. She is rather unfond of unarmed combat and will almost always try to find some sort of weapon t use during an encounter, as otherwise she will distance herself from the enemy as much as she can until she finds a suitable weapon or is pushed to the point that she initiates her bow release. When particularly pressed she will often use kicks as a means of trying to dissuade an enemy from getting too close. As a result of this she has taken into learning Taekwondo as a means of self defense. She still very much prefers to fence and use her rapier, but is capable of resorting to the art when necessary.
WHEN pressed into using Taekwondo, she typically relies on dodging attacks and attacking the opponent's arms and legs with her kicks. As she is not particularly strong she tends to favor striking at the joints or simply launching herself or her opponent away from one another to create some distance as she does not particularly like being in close quarters without a weapon. She doesn't like physically touching other spiritual beings as experience has taught her that some enemies can kill you just by touching you. As such if possible she will often wear gloves or other coverings on her person to avoid direct contact, and in the absence of such coverings will typically use her environment in order to take hits for her as she tries to thinking of a way to take on her opponent.
When she is released she will usually focus on reducing her opponent's ability to fight, wether that is burning them to such an extent that they are unable to continue fighting properly, or simply severing bits and pieces of them so that they are unable to continue fighting, as she usually prefers not to use her full power to kill people, at least not intentionally. While it certainly is something prone to happen from time to time she will, if possible, avoid completely destroying her target in the interest of interrogation or reasoning.

Nola's powers have never changed, even with the core of her soul being purged, the ultimate shape of her ower remains constant. To dillute the boundary between memory and reality, and shift that boundary back and forth. Nola's powers spawn from her own memories, the memories of those around her, as well as effecting the memories of those around her.
Bow Release Properties
Class 6: Arrow Form - Haunting Past:
Nola’s arrows take the form of a past version of someone she can sense. Be that herself, her opponent, or another target she can sense. These arrows only take on appearance and reiatsu. They are unable to do anything special other than physical manipulation, speaking and flying around, or doing arrow things like exploding or punching through someone with Nola’s OS. These arrows can have psychological effects inherent to their appearance/voice and confusing an enemy, but otherwise have no special abilities. They move at a reduced arrow speed of 600 (1200 with shortbow). Arrows class 3 and up with this property are indistinguishable from the original (reiatsu wise. They do not gain any abilities that can be used in combat) . Arrows share Nola’s sensory stats.
Class 5: Firing: - Out of Mind:
Nola’s arrows when fired remain in place and begin in a rest state. In this state they have no memory “weight”. The moment the arrow is no longer the focus of a target’s attention, they will forget that the arrow exists until they happen to catch sight of it again. At any point, Nola can activate a rest state arrow and fire it at which point it can begin moving and act as though it were fired normally. An arrow that leaves rest state loses the effects of this ability and the target will instantly remember the existence of the arrow and where they last saw it.
Class 4: Power property - Just a Memory:
This property utilizes the connection between Nola and her arrows. By paying the cost of an arrow again, Nola and the arrow instantly switch places with one another, however when this happens, her and the arrow remain wrapped in the Memory of the other, giving Nola the appearance/reiatsu of the arrow, and the arrow the appearance/reiatsu of Nola. This property can only be activated once per post. Properties of Nola and the arrow do not change (Even though she appears to be an arrow, she can only move at her own max speed. Likewise, the Arrow cannot use techniques or behave in a way that the arrow would not otherwise be able to do), allowing for the observant to notice the difference in the event that either Nola or the Arrow behave in a way contrary to how they appear.

Class 3: Arrow form - Remembering Blade:
Nola’s arrows take the form of cruel blades made of shadowy memory. These blades when in motion, can cut through the boundary between memory and reality, transforming the environment into a place from Nola’s memory. This transition happens from the point of origin and spreads at 1000 speed up to a 20 meter radius. Activating the ability consumes the arrow used.
Class 2: Heart Property - As Recalled:
Nola can revert the state of objects that she comes into contact with to a state they had in the past. For any willing target or an inanimate object, this process happens seamlessly and immediately. Fatal injuries (Including massive damage to any major organs) cannot be circumvented by this ability (Though their superficial wounds will heal to the point where they seem fine, but the internal damage will remain). Reiatsu cannot be regained by using this ability. This ability costs 500 reiatsu to use. 1000 to use on herself.
Class 1: Bow Form Property - Speicherschneider (Memory cutter):
This property changes the shape of Nola’s bow into a long odachi 140cm in length. However, this blade does not actually cut anything that it passes through. It slips clean through any material it comes into contact with. Rather than cutting, it leaves behind the ‘Memory’ of itself in whatever it slips through, granting Nola the ability to produce and fire her arrows from any object that she has inserted the memory of Speicherschneider into, as though it were her bow.

Technique Description and Effects : This technique is based on the ability of various races to create reishi platforms in midair. This Technique is so simple and uncomplicated that even the most simple of brutes and lunatics can perform this ability flawlessly. However as time goes on, this technique however has a very deep history as to how it came to be so widespread, and also a much more progressive means of it's use.
Class 8: The Most simple and fundamental technique. This is simply the formation of platforms under the feet to form an artificial plane off of which to maneuver. This technique uses so little energy that it has almost no cost (25 reiatsu allows 3 steps at learned, 5 steps at profficient, and 7 steps on Mastery at this class). The user can only create horizontal steps exactly the side of the foot, and at this class can only do this thrice per post, either to run along this newmade surface, or to increase or decrease altitude.
Class 7: Advancement. Still ridiculously simple, this level of the technique does take some reiatsu. At 25 Reiatsu cost, the user can create a pair of constantly generating platforms under their feet which lasts the entire post, however at this class the techique is still limited to at least a general downward direction and cannot rise to an angle more than 65 Degrees upward from a flat surface.
This changes at class 6, at which point pannels can be created even at a 90 degree angle. Additionally, the panels can be created at any point in the body allowing one to push off with any limb and even slide along one's back, allowing a powerful boost in mobility. Cost increases to 50 per post.

Technique Description and Effects : An advancement on Advanced Air Platform, this technique is derived from the ability to make platforms as a simple means of locomotion and advanced movement and applied the same concept to create panels of a more....insidious nature. Advancing from the earlier technique, this technique revolves around the use of these panels beyond simple maneuvers as a means of weapons and armor.
Class 5: At this level These platforms can surpass beyond the level of simple movement techniques. At this level, the user can create spiritual panels at any point of their body so long as it stays in contact with their body. These panels have a durability of 200 when it comes to resisting breaking, this increases by 175 per class as one learns higher levels of this technique, up to 900 at class 1. These panels last up to ten seconds, the maximum size of a panel is 3 square feet, making it good for blocking narrow or small-scale projectiles. The reiatsu cost at this level is 75 reiatsu, and increases by 100% per class, up to 375 reiatsu at class 1.
The number of panels per post that can be generated is reduced to 1 per post, increasing by one for each class, up to 5 at class 1.

Class 4: This level even more utility. The user can create panels that are 6 square feet in size. However something else is attainable at this level. Technique Description and Effects (Explain appearance, powers, and effect):
This technique continues the lineage of the basic principle of creating usable surfaces by collecting and focusing ambient reishi mixed with one's reiryoku. In this instance, is the use similar to an afterimage. By collecting reishi around the entirety of one's body, the user creates a sort of shell. And by doing so, this shell can be left behind. This shell infused with a mix of the user's reiryoku and ambient reiatsu can be used to take hits and serve as a decoy as it's reiatsu signature will match the user's. However, when injured, the copy is hardly similar to a proper cadaver and generally can be discerned by those with at least 150 senses or ES (increased by 75 per point in stealth, countered by the enemy's anti-stealth). And this is generally if the technique is a dead-fire, it is generally more difficult to discern mid-attack.
For each use of this technique, the user can produce up to three shells (increasing to four at proficient, and five at mastered) which can be used up like ammunition. Because of this, this technique is more unpredictable than usual in that the surge of reiatsu in activating the technique can be used preemptively, and then the technique can come into play later on in the fight. This technique cannot be re-activated until the initial number of shells has been exhausted (including activation at a different class).
At class 3, this technique becomes much more useful! By using much more skill and care in the making of this shell, the user can make it much more believable. At this class, the user can cause the shell to bleed, make very brief noises, and even seem to crumple or collapse realistically as more mass and energy goes into the making of this double. If the user has any skill in Disguise or Crafting then this shell can be even harder to discern, adding additional 75 points to the es/senses requirement as if the user had extra points in stealth (only up to 3 points can be contributed from disguise/crafting).
Technique Drawbacks Standard Reiatsu costs (100 reiatsu at class 5, 400 reiatsu at class 3), additionally this technique requires that some level of Advanced Air Platforms and Advanced Air Arsenal be learned. Additionally, because of the detail and effort put into the shells at class 3, the user has one less shell stored up on use (at mastered a user can have 5 class 5 shells, but only 4 class 3 shells). Additionally, this technique does NOT hide the user, and as such can be predictable without the use of step techniques in conjunction.

Technique Description and Effects (Explain appearance, powers, and effect):
This technique was something of a happy accident. Whilst delving into the intricacies of forming these air structures, it was discovered that even in failure, one can succeed. This technique intentionally creates flawed and imperfect reishi plates in proximity to the user, such that when it comes into abrupt contact with an attack or enemy, the plate ruptures and disrupts the enemy. These plates are specially formed with an imperfection on only one side of the plate, and as such when they go off, the effect is directional, allowing the user to remain unaffected.
At class 6, this technique causes an outward burst of reishi particles and a shockwave. At this class the effect is not physically damaging, but does have an effect similar to a flashbang. At learned, the user is exempt from the flash, but not the bang. At proficcient, the user is partially protected by the loud noise of the plate going off. At mastered, this technique will not harm or disorient the user at all.

At class 5, this technique has some oomf to it. When a plate is set off, the burst of reishi is actually damaging. Getting struck by this reishi shrapnel can break the skin and even damage the eyes or other sensitive tissues of the target, in addition to displacing the air around the blast by the outward force.

At class 4, this technique becomes more dangerous. Able to penetrate both skin layers and into the muscle, this technique is considered potentially lethal depending on the part of the opponent struck by this burst.

At Class 3, this technique can rip it's way through flesh and muscle, and even perforate internal organs. It is considered very lethal at this class.

Class 2 not only causes shrapnel and concussive damage, but also generates heat, making this technique dangerous even for those with impact and puncture defenses, and making regeneration more difficult by cauterizing the wounds inflicted.

Class 1 plates are incredibly dangerous, not only for the target, but anything that might be behind them as well. At this class, the explosion produces incredible heat and even sends spikes of reishi shrapnel flying, overpenetrating targets and damaging materials behind them as well. At this class, one must start to seriously worry about the deaths of bystanders.

Technique Drawbacks Reiatsu costs. Additionally, these plates while translucent and mildly hard to see, are hardly invisible. The user must strategically place them, and even then a target may typically back off from an attack if they suspect the plate is a trap. That said, while the plate is hardly invisible, it is not distinguishable from other forms of Advanced Air Arsenal.
Additionally, the form of these plates is limited by one's skills in the technique. At learned, one can simply make square or rectangular plates. At Profficient, one can actually give simple form, and at Mastered one can craft almost any structure they wish.

Technique Description and Effects (Explain appearance, powers, and effect): This technique is much more refined and eloquent than the other methods of Advanced Air Arsenal. This technique, rather than generating large structures, instead focuses on the production of condensed and fortified strings of reishi. Wether it's to help wire a trap, to manipulate a far-off object, or just to tie someone up, these threads are very useful.
At class 8, these threads are well...threads. They are considered to have an offensive durability of 25 and anyone with the physical strength to lift themselves off the ground can generally break these strings without any effort. There is nothing particularly special about these strings, other than that the fact that they have such a thin reishi composition and structure that they have literally zero reiatsu signature and can only be sensed physically through sight.
At class 7, these strings gain some utility. The strings can be manipulated by the user and have an offensive durability of 100, increasing by 100 for each class beyond this one (a maximum of 700 durability at class 1).
At class 5, these strings are more than just tools. In addition to being able to be used for a variety of common jobs, these threads actually have the spiritual durability to cut into materials they are braced against. However, due to their thinness, the cutting power of the thread is inferior to it's actual durability, boasting a mere cutting power of 275 at class 5, increasing by 75 per class ( 350 at class 4, 425 at class 3, 500 at class 2, 575 at class 1).
Finally, at class 2, these strings are pretty high-quality. Not only improving in durability and cutting power, but also holding the power to be spiritually conductive, allowing the user to channel other techniques through the strings as though they were an extension of the user's body.

Technique Description and Effects : This technique is a simple sealing process. By drawing a seal onto the ground with one's reiatsu, the user can seal an object into their body in the form of a tattoo. This tattoo must scale with the size of whatever it is that is sealed onto the user, with a percent linked to the size of the object in feet. The tattoo must take up 1% of the user's body for every foot in size the object has (This applies to the largest dimension the object has. If a broom that is four feet long, and only half a foot wide is taken in, and a board of wood four feet long and three feet wide are made, then both tattoos would take up 2% of the user's body as 4 feet is the largest dimension). A finger would compose about 1% of the body, the hand about 5%, an entire limb about 15%, the Torso takes up 30%, Head takes up 10%
Object and entities sealed within this space are put in stasis, and maintain qualities from when they were sealed (Outside of things on a post-specific timer). No living thing can ever be sealed against it's will, regardless of OS or Class superiority. Additionally, no Attack can be sealed ever. Because of this, this technique is largely unuseful in direct combat, and generally is only used as a utility power.
Technique Drawbacks: While there is no reiatsu cost for normal sealing and unsealing outside of combat, if the user has at least 250 Instincts, they will be able to perform the unsealing and sealing ritual quickly enough to be used in combat. In this manner, the technique costs 100 reiatsu to seal/unseal an object or individual. Release weapons may never be sealed. Additionally, while the general state of an object is maintained, normal duration for the item being sealed is retained. (If something that lasts 4 posts is sealed, if the object is unsealed 2 posts later, it will have 2 posts left before it expires. ) This ensures that only objects with naturally long life and duration are utilized, or else are only sealed for brief moments at a time. Stasis-bound objects and entities, while they maintain their basic state, still take damage and suffer effects while sealed.

The technique begins by the quincy charging an arrow, feeding a high ammount of reiatsu as they form a seal within the arrow itself, the seal of his majesty. After firing the arrow, the quincy vanishes, and is sealed into the arrow's shadow. After the arow is fired, the quincy can activate the seal, emerging from the arrow's shadow and reloading the arrow into their bow before firing again. This technique also modifies the nature of the arrow, by modifying the arrow the Quincy can have the arrow mimic their stealth skill up to 1 point.

Technique Drawbacks (Limitations, repercussions for use, etc) This technique itself costs nothing, but adds a Cost of up to 100 reiatsu, plus the base cost of firing, to the arrow itself for full effect. And while the user cannot be seen during their time in the arrow's shadow, if the arrow is destroyed prematurely, they are immediately ejected and briefly disoriented, keeping them from immediately attacking (though they are still capable of defending if immediately attacked). The stealth aspect of the arrow comes at an extra cost of 50 reiatsu, bringing the total cost to 150+ the Arrow's firing cost.

Technique Description and Effects (Explain appearance, powers, and effect): Creates massive arrows from spiritual particles in the atmosphere. These are created without the use of a bow and capable of being controlled both mentally and with hand-gestures. They are roughly eight feet long. The arrow’s shaft is thin, but the tip of the arrow is large and resembles a naginata spear. The end of the arrow is in the shape of a Hagal rune.
A total of 10 arrows can be created and fired simultaneously. The user has the ability to summon these arrows instantaneously as long as they have the reiatsu to provide the technique. The user can create arrows up to a distance of 20 feet from their body. These arrows, however, are not ordinary arrows and have intense force behind them and can be used to pierce almost anything, including armor and kido. They travel at a speed of 600 if controlled by mentally and 800 when using hands.

Technique Description and Effects: This technique is an emergency technique created for the vandereich. When an enemy managed to break the flesh and cause blood to spill, this blood, for a brief moment, can become a sudden weapon. Once a wound has been freshly opened, this technique immediately obliterates the flesh and blood that has come into contact with whatever it is that has injured the quincy, shredding it into fine reiatsu and obliterating any poisons or negative effects that may otherwise have spread into the quincy's body as a result of the injury by sacrificing the layers of flesh around it, almost like showing a hot iron into the wound. This fine reishi then instantly sinks into the ground at a speed of 5000where it forms a bow exactly ten feet below the quincy's feet (typically this is underground but if the quincy is up in the air this may just be floating in the air) before firing a single arrow upward at triple the normal speed for an arrow (2400).

Technique Drawbacks: This technique depletes a considerable amount of blood and causes pain to the quincy. The arrow itself is paid mostly in blood rather than reiatsu, however this technique can be forced even if injury is not sustained, but for a solid 300 reiatsu, though this will burn a hole in the user to execute it. This technique can only be used a maximum of 3 times per thread, refreshed after a long rest (increased by 1 times for each point in Bleeding Tolerance or Damage Recovery the user has). Executing the technique normally as a result of injury costs 100 reiatsu (Reduced by converting some flesh and blood into reishi).

Technique Description and Effects (Explain appearance, powers, and effect): A technique used in conjunction with eiku or similar types of weapons. Sends spirit particles hurtling at an opponent with a swing of the broad-end of the eiku. As they travel they collect other particles like a snow-ball effect, but do so with intense speed and efficiency. They become so large that they resemble small meteors and hit targets and bore into them not unlike a fiery meteor. The user can control how many are created, but no more than eight can be created at one time. Durability/strength is equivilant to the user's RS.
Eight of the objects are created and have a circumference of 15ft. They travel at a speed of 800, but their sheer size and number make them difficult to dodge. Each radiates an intense heat and are heavy and capable of pulverizing most objects. Standard clash-rules apply.

Technique Description and Effects (Explain appearance, powers, and effect): Dramatically increases the cutting power of a weapon by lining the blade with a thick layer of reishi. The reishi resembles liquid as it coats the blade. The condensed, liquid reishi on the blade greatly amplifies its cutting power and range. A single swing of the blade can cleave through multiple, solid stone structures and even steel. It is intended to cleave things in half with ease and extend the cutting range despite the distance from the blade.
When the user swings their weapon, the immediate target can be cleaved in two, but the cutting power travels a total of 10 feet, allowing for both enhanced cutting power and striking multiple targets. It can be used to enhance the piercing potential of a weapon using thrust attacks. The cutting/piercing power is equivalent to the user's RS. The cutting/piercing power afforded by this technique last for three posts.
How to use technique (How is it activated?): By offering 200 reiatsu to activate and pairing it with a weapon.
Technique Drawbacks (Limitations, repercussions for use, etc): Consecutive use of the technique dulls the blade of the enhanced weapon. She didn't know where in Germany she was born. Such details hardly mattered anyway at that age. Small and helpless, she had been taken because of her unique looks. Regardless of any of that, she simply knew them as her family. They were her mothers. Her Sisters. Her Aunts. Her Best Friends. Even as work in the place bore down on her, she was looked after, kept from being worked too hard by the boss as the courtesans pointed out that working her too hard would build up unattractive muscle. Of course, there were other hazards that they simply could not shield her from. The ridicule of the staff and the cruelty of the girl's 'owner'. Unknowingly, she was being looked after, worried for, the women that raised her dreading each and every year the girl came to put under her belt, bringing her closer and closer to what was, to them, an eventuality. As fate would have it, the universe seemed to have other plans. Among it's many other activities the brothel in question not only held the enslaved, but has a considerable shipment of drugs and other illegal substances shipped in and out, which eventually led to the raid. Funnily enough, Nola had been asleep when it had all happened. Her aunt Rose waking her up and huddling her close as men stormed the place and gunfire roared through the establishment. But even through the tiniest of windows through her aunt's arms, she saw the special forces officer, a woman, take down the largest and scariest man among the brothel staff. Wide eyes watching.
When it was all done, she was separated from her family she had come to know for so long. With no birth certificate and no record of her aside from the name her Mothers had given her. They had guessed as much as what had happened and she was allowed to live with her mother Rose for the time being until she was older. It was in this manner that she gained a true, legal mother. But even so, as a new life was given to her and her new family, she couldn't help but think back to that day every time her eyes drifted shut. What with the economy the way it as, she and Rose actually wound up staying with a number of the others liberated from the dreadful place, so really there was no exchange of hats so far as who raised her, simply put things just got...better. There were no more beatings. The food got a lot better, and soon her Aunts began to urge her to get an education. Well on her way to being ten, they wished a pleasant, better life for their Daughter/Niece. And at that time, she had aspirations of her own forming.
Inspired by what she'd seen, as soon as she was old enough she began to express her interest in joining the Military. This was, of course, a surprise to her family, but they had nothing but support for their little one, and before long after her Seventeenth birthday she was in boot camp, fighting for a right to join. Of course as a young woman she struggled, always seeking to surpass not only her peers and the males, but her own ideals about where she should be. Her instructors always seemed shocked that she seemed almost to push herself more than she was being pushed by them. Long after any mishaps that would result in physical exercise as repercussion, as soon as the matter was ended she could be seen, doing double the amount she'd been asked, as if to hammer into herself the discipline she believed necessary, aiming even higher than the conduct for the officers that trained her.
Surprisingly, when it came to off-duty she was among the more wild. Of course she stayed away from excessive drinking or any sort of unhealthy recreation, she still was among the most flirty, pleasant, and fun-seeking among her comrades and soon she'd earned herself the nickname "Penny" a round-about way of calling her Two-faced, in a less insulting or detrimental way. She was not unliked, indeed many came to try and model themselves after her. And before long, she found herself ranked among the NCOs and by special request was brought into special forces training where her attitude and self-discipline further served her and drove her to impress her superiors. Her first mission she hardly broke a sweat, even as she aided in securing a compound from a terrorist cell in the northern region of the country. At first she had felt nothing, no issues, no trauma, handling her work even better than her coworkers. In the end, it was not until several years later at the age of 22 when she was given the option to retire from the service. It was an odd decision, and quite frankly she knew that if she had stayed she likely could have built quite the career. But something had drawn her away, and soon she found out what.
Once she was settled, revisiting her large immediate family, telling them, as much as she could, about what aspects of her job she was allowed to, earning her the approval and the pride of her mothers and aunts that had raised her. It wasn't until a few months after her retirement from special forces and during the time when she had been looking for a job that she was hit with it. Suddenly everything that she had done, everything she had simply glazed over. The stress of being shot at. Of aiming at another human being and pulling the trigger, the taunting and teasing of her fellow soldiers about her unique look, the incredulity with which she'd been looked at due to her uniqueness. Everything that had been tuned out suddenly came back in, as if a radio kept for so long on the lowest of volume settings had suddenly been cranked and now she was drowning in the noise that throbbed through her soul. At the age of 23 she panicked, and briefly began to dip a toe into alcoholism, and were it not for her family she might have succumbed.
With this grief at her heels, one of her Aunts, a woman by the name of Jade had found her a job as an entry-level assistant in a mildly successful company that worked out building contracting in the area for the city's construction workers. Immediately she simply treated it like....boot camp. She focused, drove herself, and in no time she had risen beyond the level that many found themselves after years of faithful service. Three months in she was a manager under the Owner of the company itself until a licensing dispute lost the Owner his rights to it, and was forced to sell. Sensing the opportunity, Nola took out a loan and bought the company for herself using the borrowed money as well as her own saved payment checks. Before her Twenty Fourth Birthday Her company began making some impressive money, functioning better than it had under previous ownership, and soon finding herself buying out smaller companies. Not only that, but she began to expand. Beyond simple contracting, she began to make the Company into an empire of sorts, dipping into just about anything that went through her town, and before long with several branches being set up, she was soon finding herself in charge of much of the business going on in the region. Even with all this success, it meant very little compared to a simple fact: It kept all of that stress away.

By age twenty five she knew what she'd done to herself. She was prolonging a crash that was going to come one day, and likely one that would very much lead to some sort of breakdown. But that didn't matter to her. She was successful. She had fun. She was making money enough to take care of the women who had raised her as if she were their very own for over twenty years a hundred times over. She began to plan, being the careful woman that she was, laying down a foundation of managers and high ranking officials within her company, individuals she trusted and knew to take over various aspects of the company in such an event she knew would come for her some day.And it wasnt until a few months before her Twenty Sixth birthday that things hit a bump.
It was hardly something she expected, the powers that seemed suddenly thrust upon her. One day she was aggravated, wanting to just...break something. And it happened. A crack right through one of her least favorite mugs. Rational thought dictated it a coincidence. A fluke, nothing to get in a tizzy over. The third incident set her mind. She did not know what was happening, weather she had gotten some sort of poisoning, or if perhaps twenty years of stress and anxiety bottled up had had an adverse effect on her sanity. That didn't matter. What mattered was getting herself under control, and that meant understanding what as going on.
Again, her determination served her well, and without instruction or guidance, she began to unlock the abilities that had laid so dormant within her mind. Bit by bit, little by little, she discovered the spiritual world. And where many found panic, uncertainty, fear, she saw only a new venue. Of course she knew she could not openly delve into it. But... on the side, she slowly and gradually over the course of a few weeks found others, using her new keen senses to sniff out others like her, people who could not hold jobs because of their 'delusions', or people wracked with stress as they fought to suppress visions of what they believed to be fake. To each of them she offered not just help, not just relief, but purpose. A special task force, a security detail that was made specifically for dealing with this new.....aspect of her life. Money that was more...clandestine, began to flow in. Problems of unusual natures became her concern, and she learned more and more about this world beyond their own, the several of them.
Despite all of this, she held very little....care. She knew there were conflicts in the makings. Important ones, that effected not her, but the world as a whole. But she didn't......care. It wasn't a matter of caring really, it was simply priorities. Saving the world was not as jam=packed as one would think. Logic dictated that such an endeavor would involve....well....her not working on her usual projects. And so she did what she always did, and always has done. She delegated the task to people she felt suited for it. She made sure they not directly interfere, no hers was a subtle hand, a hand that reached about and guided more than prodded, corrected rather than reprimanded or punished. So long as she had her work, she would be safe. She would be sane, and she would not need to overly concern herself. She had little worry that even if the world were torn asunder for the region of the world, the idea that the world was so easily destroyed eluded her. She instead held faith that no matter what happened, business would simply....go on as usual. And she's never been given evidence to the contrary.....for a while.
For so very very long those rules held true for her. Her company flourished, so long as it had her to back it. She made money. Quite a lot of it in fact, and it brought her a sense of stability. She felt safe. She felt complete. And all it took was an illness. She was sick, for a while. A few months. She worked still, of course. To the best of her ability. But even then, she couldn't retain her old capacity. The people she had trusted crumbled. Without her it all just caved in. Everything she had built, everything she had worked for. The people she had trusted grew frightened. What should have been a small dip turned into a dive as they took corporate money and ran with it, wanting to save themselves, and damning everyone else in the process.
She was ruined by fear. But it was not her own fear that had defeated her. She grew depressed. Even if her savings were more than enough to cushion her fall, none of that mattered. It was gone. Her work. Her hopes. Her aspirations. Shattered like so many tiny bits of glass, broken down by those that cared more for themselves than the company. So she gave it all away. She would start again from the ground up. Just like she had before. She'd bounce back. Do it again. She'd done it once before right?
She so hoped it would. Only.....it didn't work out. She got low. She couldn't make a dime doing what she'd done before. She couldn't start a company, things just didn't work like they used to. Before she knew it, she was scrounging just to make ends meet. She tried getting some of her savings back,to no avail. She was out on the streets. Begging for food. And.......working for it. However she could manage. However she could bear.
Each time she got a hold of a little something, a glimmer of potential, a beacon of hope, she clung to it. Nutured it. But........the others around her. They were greedy. Selfish. They snatched it away from her. Beat her. Cut her. Took her and drugged her. She barely managed not to be sold off to some slaver if only because she had her power. She wept herself to sleep for so very many nights. Wondering why it wasn't working. Wondering why she'd lost her touch. She wondered what justice there was, in her whom had strove and earned everything, that she should have it all taken from her by people who wanted a quick way out of their own despair. Out of their own lesser sadnesses. And one day, when she opened her eyes, the Justice found her.
On a cold and rainy night, the place they were keeping her burned down. Dying in her sleep from smoke inhalation, Nola Vilde died. And as luck would have it, she was found by a shinigami, and konso'd. Brought to Soul society where she began her life anew. In little time she began to start up a business....funnily enough running a brothel. Strange as that might seem it was initiated by a very....special meeting. When at long last she met one of her Aunts from the real world. As it had turned out, none of them had lived very long, and a certain...strange man had found them, bringing them together and hiring them. Of course they had grown to the point where the business had branched out.
After meeting with the man, she soon convinced him to hire her as a guard, where she worked her way up, eventually managing the branch location that her aunts worked at. At long last, after so many years, so many hardships, and so many times she'd been alone and on her own, she was finally with the few people she'd ever considered family. And so she began anew, with a new life, in a new dimension. But alas. Her troubles have not ended. In time her power and capabilities drew the attention of the shinigami, and before long she was.....'recruited' into the gotei.
After a certain mission routing out a group of bandits in the wilderness went awry, Nola Vilde had the pleasure of sparring with a Captain. Unfortunately that Captain was Sozen Kuchiki. After conceding defeat, nola Vild was subjected to the whims of the victor, who decided to electrocute her, knock her out, and then place her in a sensory deprivation chamber until she went crazy (again). As a result of this process, Nola underwent a SEVERE shift in her personality, lost the ability to use her zanpaku'to, and became ultimately a different, weaker person altogether. The only solace she found was that at the very least she was no longer repressing all of her abilities from herself, though she would still need to slowly acclimate herself to her powers again now that she was in control. Her primary loss being her abilities focused around Nillia. She was able to gain access to a single previously suppressed ability, but otherwise is left considerably weaker with the loss of several key abilities which she was not able to salvage.
It was not until after recovering from the Kuchiki's treatment that she was able to recover the loss of her zanpaku'to as well as a semblance of self. Of course her new...personality shift did not exactly mesh well with her coworkers in Squad one. As it turns out, people had actually liked her immensely. She was calm, sweet, and sure a bit serious when it came to work matters, but outside of work she had provben to be quite a delight to be around. But with her new aggressive demeanor, she had quickly lost this adoration, and indeed a great amount of concern had arisen to the point where she had been temporarily relieved of duty when a friendly spar ended with a squadmate's throat cut out.
After her superiors heard of the incident, she was politely asked to reconsider her squad of choice, and with this in mind. Nola began looking into other squads, and eventually found the Omnitsukido, ironically originally under the control of another noble family with the expressed purpose of controlling the noble families. After some research Nola began to hold a great deal of respect for the current omnitsukido head (despite rumors the he is, metaphorically speaking, sucking Sozen's dick) and promptly wrote a letter requesting to be reassigned to the squad. But as fate would have it, it would not be!
When she was about to send her letter, she was interrupted by the attack on the sereitei by Kuroi Naito. Once the attack had subsided, Soul Society left with grievous wounds, it occurred to Nola that despite her absolute hatred and disgust for the man that had done so much to her, that she still had a place in her current squad. Working underneath the Captain Commander, lazy as he seemed to be at times, did have its benefits. And, begrudgingly, she hid away her letter of reassignment and refocused her attention on her duties to the soul society.
But of course these years in the service of soul society would not serve her well. Because of the sheer number of recruitments that Soul Society had to undertake in the wake of so many attacks on the Gotei, Nola was given a recycled Asauchi taken from a dead soul reaper that had been in storage from the days before Zanpaku'to had security measures that kicked in when the wielder died or turned traitor. This existing Zanpaku'to spirit made Nola's life a living hell, eliminating her ability to tell reality from the endless memories forged with her opponents. The woman would spend days not knowing who or what she really was, in a state of constant readjustment, trying to find out what was going on around her while suffering grueling, psychologically taxing fights every single day as her zanpaku'to tortured both her and her opponent.
This, however, was not a permanent fate. One fateful day she happened upon one Amalia Volbrecht, who saw potential within the Shinigami when an attempt in using a demonic relic to turn Nola into a slave clashed with the alread-possessive nature of Nola's abusive Zanpaku'to. With her Zan spirit wrestling with the curse meant for herself, Nola for the first time in her life since becoming a soul reaper found herself lucid. Aware of her surroundings, and the awful life soul Society had landed her.
Thankful for Amlaia's help, however unintentional, Nola pledged herself to the woman, comitted treason to Soul Society, and even handed over her own sealed Zanpaku'to spirit, as her Zanpaku'to in entirety could not be completely recovered. At that ponit, Nola was taken to the silbern and baptized via arrow to her tiddy. An excruciating, but ultimately rewarding process as Nola was brought back to life, given a new physical body, and a new, lucid lease on life that was denied her by the Gotei. She now pledges her entirety to His Majesty the emperor, and the woman who was her salvation.
