Sunlight comes, an elixir after so many hours of blackness. The air becomes sweeter and the birds soften the dawn with their chorus. As the grey fog evaporates as fast as desert rain and the light creeps across the ground, a familiar presence emerges from a sister realm. Amalia's visage comes into focus as the sun bathes her fiery locks and rose-kissed lips. Beside her was her most loyal subordinate, Emmerick. His caramel-colored skin seemed to glisten as the sun wrapped its arms around him.
Emmerick
"Our intel was correct, Lady Vollbrecht." Amalia glanced to her far left and spotted two individuals matching the description provided. With a faint smirk upon her lips she vanished and appeared in front of them and Emmerick to her right. "Hello there." She said softly as her fingers caressed the gold embellishments on her necklace. The man and woman began backing away slowly. Their uncertainty was painted in every line of their faces. They didn't know who Amalia was or why she had appeared before them. They knew, however, to trust their instincts and run.
They immediately separated whole using high-speed movement. The woman swiftly traversed the length of several blocks, appearing in a nearby park. "Phew." She said while wiping some sweat from her brow. "You're not very fast." The woman's eyes widened at the sound of Amalia's blunt remarks from behind her. "Don't look so shocked. Your man friend will be here in...2...1." The unnamed man was tossed to the ground beside the woman and Emmerick calmly returned to Amalia's side.
"Very good, Emmerick. Shall we?" Emmerick nodded. "Yes, Lady Vollbrecht. I am eager to see the result." He said coldly before delivering a gentle grin in the man and woman's direction. Amalia's necklace underwent a transformation as an eye appeared where the gem resided. It blinked a few times before the eye seemed to vibrate, unleashing a near invisible burst of energy that seemed to envelop the two fullbringers. The man clawed at the sides of his head as if he was in extreme pain. "Do they usually experience this many convulsions?" Emmerick questioned as the woman writhed on the ground in a near possessed fashion.
Curse Necklace
"They do, but not quite this much. I'm hoping to remove that pesky side-effect. I'd rather there be an immediate change and not send them into psychotic fits. Although, there is some poetry to the onset of the curse." Emmerick narrowed his eyes and attempted to raise his hand to form a bow. He was stopped by Amalia, who gently placed her hand on his forearm. "I sense them too. This is kismet, Emmerick." Amalia immediately turned and grabbed a rope-like kido with her bare hand. She tugged on it, ripping it in two as the Shinigami who created it stumbled forward.
"This is nothing but string." She remarked as she twirled it around amusingly. "This is pathetic. You're a shameful excuse for a Shinigami, especially considering the Kido I have encountered in the past. No matter. It'll all be over soon." The eye then gazed at the two Shinigami and unleashed the curse. It clung to them tightly and seeped into their bodies like poison. The two Shinigami fell to their knees as stared in Amalia's direction with a vacant gaze. "Oh-ho. Look at that, Emmerick. They're weak, but much stronger than these Fullbringer. We'll have to add a property that allows us to unleash the curse at varying levels so not to shock the body of weaker opponents."
Emmerick turned and stared contemptibly at the two humans. One of them entered a mindless rage and lunged at Amalia, but was quickly catapulted into the distance with an arrow through its head. "Thank you, Emmerick." Amalia said kindly as she patted his cheek fondly. The man simply began screaming, becoming louder and louder so nearly anyone nearby could hear. His energy began fluctuating rapidly. "Oh no." Amalia said with a brief chuckle. Emmerick then lunged forward and struck the man with such force that he sent him soaring into the distance. His body smashed through the windshield of a car before he exploded, painting the windows and interior with blood. "Another one succumbed to this bloody death by explosion. How very peculiar." He said while glancing at the remains in the distance.
"But these two Shinigami are taking to it quite nicely." Suddenly one of the Shinigami took out his Zanpakuto and slit the other's throat. "Well...alright then. I suppose that's better than what we've seen. Let's see... Hmm. Sheathe your blade." The man looked at Amalia quizzically but his hand began moving toward his sheath as if his body was not working in unison. Amalia looked at him with utter fascination. His body was responding to the curse's influence and her command, but not entirely. "The madness is still interfering with the command functions, but this is progress!!"
