Sitting in the well made black painted oak chair beneath him Asmoskon waited for the arrival of his dinner companion. It had been some time since he had met face to face with the individual that he was now waiting for. He owed her a congratulatory dinner if nothing else for her recent accomplishment which was why he had offered to pay for the evening. He had questions that he needed answered. She would know most now given her position or at the very least might be able to find out the most. There were others he needed to ask as well, but she would be the first.
The soft black silk of his kimono was still one of his favorite sensations. He really felt he would need to start wearing it more often to really appreciate how nice the outfit was made. It wasn’t just black his favorite part of it having the crimson lotus flowers scattered throughout the kimono. To match he had decided to wear not his normal eye patch but the crimson eye patch over the vacancy in his right side. Taking a small sip of the water in front of him he realized he might be just a bit more hungry than he anticipated and found himself hoping that Shizuka would arrive soon. Wouldn’t be polite to start consuming anything before her arrival.

The invitation, alone, was somewhat surprising. How long had it been since they last spoke? Too long, evidently. Practically ages. Shizuka wasn't one to refuse a date, though. And when he offered to pay, she absolutely did not say no. It wasn't like she couldn't afford her own food, but why on Earth would she ever deny herself such a luxury? She wouldn't. So when Asmoskon offered to take her out to a nice evening's dinner, she politely accepted and immediately went to work on picking out her outfit for the occasion.
She wore something fitting yet professional that had a deep neckline. Given where they were meeting up, she assumed this would still be appropriate. The coat she wore was more like a cape since she did not put her arms through it, but a little bit of Fullbringer talent kept the clothing article in place quite easily. Before long, she was able to walk herself through down, enjoying the night's air and the smells that accompanied it. The restaurant all but snuck up on her as she was lost in her own thoughts, feeling refreshed and ready to go.
A host greeted her, calling her by her last name and being extremely official and polite. This was expected. Asmoskon made reservations at a restaurant that Shizuka frequented with her clients and guests, so they knew her very well. She nodded in his direction once she spotted him sitting down at a table, and the host bowed his head before escorting her over. He pulled her seat out for him and she thanked him before dismissing his services. Before sitting down, she removed her coat and gracefully draped it over the back of the chair, claiming it as her own as she finally planted herself right across the table from her date.
"This isn't like you, Asmoskon. We haven't spoken in what feels like eons. But, of course, I can't remember the last time I denied myself a treat. I do like food!" Shizuka glanced at the menu, knowing that the host had already spoken to the waiter about what she normally ordered. "What can I do for you?"

Well it was more than apparent now that he could see what Shizuka was wearing that he had made the right call to dress well. Of course there was always the option to just wear a suit yet Asmoskon had been in the mood for something more traditional that wasn’t seen as much in the modern world. “Everyone enjoys food Shizuka. It'd be more worrisome if you didn’t. I do realize it’s been some time since we last spoke, the distractions of business,. Regardless I thought it’d be rude of me to not congratulate you on succeeding Satsujun.”
Asmoskon spoke while looking over the menu holding it in his right hand while picking up the glass of water with his left then consuming a small portion of the liquid. This wasn’t going to be the most pleasant topic Asmoskon expected although it was one that had to be discussed if the both of them were going to stay allies, he believed. It hadn’t been more than a month after Satsujun had been killed that Asmoskon had retired from Xcution. Obviously this was going to make Shizuka believe certain negative things, but that was one reason why he had called for this evening, to clear everything up.
Now though he realized that he had been pondering over the meeting that he hadn’t given any thought throughout the day as to what he would actually like to enjoy during the meeting. Hmmmm. Sea food was a no go at the moment, he didn’t feel like eating anything of the kind and knew that on some occasions it caused his stomach to be upset the following day. Perhaps a pasta dish would do, but he couldn’t get the image of a nice steak out of his mind and he was slowly being pushed towards that choice by his stomach. “There are several topics I’d like to discuss with you tonight, the first being if you have any information on the one of the Shinigami Captains. I’m looking for one of them and I figure you’ve definitely got more eyes then most in the human world.”

Shizuka pressed her lips together and glanced down for a moment, choosing to ignore the pain she felt. It's not like she had a personal relationship with the man, but she had wanted to go about this the right way. She assumed leadership based on overall approval, but she didn't feel completely accomplished, either. What she wanted was to hear the congratulations from him. She wanted to see his face when he saw his top Gun succeed him. What she had was an empty memory and a messed up leather jacket. Those things were not exactly what she wanted out of this ordeal.
She also had her assumptions about Asmoskon. It had been forever since they saw each other and she felt as if they were more strangers than anything else, but that didn't mean they couldn't be cordial. It was in Shizuka's character to give people the benefit of the doubt, for the most part, before acting on any violent urges. Asmoskon didn't seem to want to hurt her and chose a public place for a meeting, so he must have wanted to talk about some fairly intimate details without making Shizuka feel as if she were trapped. That was smart, especially for him.

Ah, yes. There it was. Classic move. The Fullbringer smiled and ran her hand through her hair, moving it away from her eyes and giving it a chance to fall softly against her shoulders and down her back once more. She directed her attention back at the man sitting across from her and offered a smile. It was good for the two of them to talk these things out and she certainly couldn't lie to him. He wasn't stupid and he'd figure it out in a heartbeat. Shizuka leaned forward against the table in an attempt to get somewhat closer to Asmoskon, whispering her words as she did so.
"I know everything about everyone, love. You don't get to where I am without having friends in high places. Well, let me retract that statement. I have files with, at a minimum, basic information on the spiritual beings in the world of the living and Soul Society. I've tried to recruit several who live in the former and have succeeded with most of them. So who are you curious about?"
Shizuka leaned back in her chair and her gaze never left Asmoskon's. She blinked slowly and kept the smile upon her face, waiting patiently for the name. In truth, she had a few Shinigami allies, as well. She didn't openly speak of them due to her reputation, and she did intend on keeping that reputation stable. But, of course, sometimes things don't always work out like you'd think. Some Shinigami were worth sparing. She just never wanted to openly admit that to anyone, and she never has. Not yet, anyway. So the chances of her knowing who he was asking about, either personally or otherwise, were pretty high.
