✹ Today, it was cold. Bone-chilling cold. It was only autumn; the leaves were just now turning colors, yet the temperature was at a low of -5°C. No clouds obscured the sky, and the sun was shining radiantly. A gravestone sat atop a hill, beneath a magnificent cherry blossom tree, secluded from all other gravestones. It was larger than any of the others. Obsidian-black with gold lined edges and corners, and surrounded by an obnoxious number of multi-colored flower bouquets. On its surface, the gravestone held a message, etched into it. Who inscribed the message? The message was also gold. The paint, and gold lining captured the sun's rays, then reflected them back, becoming even more brilliant. Who was inside the grave? They were not loved. Once in a while, a person would stroll by. They would admire the tree, the flowers, and the high-cost grave, but not many care for who was inside.
✹ A man stood before the grave. He was quite old, wore a robe, and leaned forward on his wooden staff which was likely a foot taller than him. His gaze fell upon the gold-etched message.

Physical Description:
{Standard Hollow Appearance}
✹ As a standard hollow, Jurou takes on a slightly humanoid appearance. In this form, he stands at 11 feet tall and weighs 365 pounds. Jurou has a single head shaped similar to a human's; however, on this head, there resides 3 separate faces. Or rather, masks in the case of a hollow. Each mask is symbolic for one of three major periods in his life. The mask to Jurou's left is encompassed by a border of golden pearls. These pearls are made of the same material as the rest of the mask, and are roughly the size of an apple. From the forehead, two long, thick horns protrude. They are characterized by the same golden color that the pearls have. Initially, the horns dip low, but later down their lengths they rise one more, ending in a honed point. From the base of the horns to their, the total length is about three feet. The horns are comparable to those of a bull with one main difference. The difference is the direction the horns face. Bull horns emerge from the side of a bull's head and continue to grown away from the side. With Jurou, the horns grow away from his mask. Below the horns sit a pair of eyes. Both eyes of this mask are curved upwards, akin to eyes that can be seen on some jack-o-lanterns. A constant rose-red glow is emitted from the pair. The leftmost mask only possesses one more significant feature-- its mouth. The mouth of this mask stretches from one side to another in a maniacal grin. Revealed by the grin are two rows of jagged, serrated teeth. Each row contains about 16 teeth and each tooth is 8 inches in length. Any prey unfortunate enough to find themselves caught by these teeth would surely not meet a pleasant end.
✹ Next is the mask in between the two outermost masks. The border of golden pearls from the first mask is not shared with this mask. As for the horns from the first, it does in fact share those. However, the horns of this mask have visibly been severed at the base. They now end in dull, flat surfaces. The eyes of this mask have also undergone a change that makes it differ from the first. Now, the shape of the eyes is a small and simple circle. Both circles are in the center of what appears to be a lotus flower, etched onto the mask. One golden lotus flower surrounds each eye, with a bit of space between the flower and eye. Comparing the mouths of both masks, the new mouth is also home to two rows of 16 teeth. Now though, the teeth have been straightened out, shortened to about 2 inches each, and are tremendously more dull. Additionally, the mouth is no longer grinning, it's shaped as an oval lying on its side. This mask is currently the mask Jurou is able to see and eat through.
✹ Now, we have the final mask. The mask furthest to Jurou's right. Unlike the mask in the center, the right side mask has a border. The mask border is decorated with lotus flowers that are now 3 dimensional, instead of mere etchings. The same severed horns jut out from the mask, with their blunt endings. In place of simple circular eyes, this mask now has human eyes etched into it, but they appear to be nearly closed. ---In this way--- Both eyes are still bordered by golden lotus flowers. The mouth has remained the same except: it has slightly decreased in size, the amount of teeth per row has been reduced to 8, and the length of each tooth has also been reduced to 1 inch.
✹ As we descend from Jurou's head to his torso, more lotus flowers make themselves known. These flowers jut out from and cover the surfaces of Jurou's shoulders. The flowers match the base bone-white color of the masks. From the shoulders, the flowers circulate around his collar bone and the base of his neck, creating a sort of necklace attached to his body. This is also displayed on his wrists and ankles. Speaking of wrists, Jurou has eight of them. Eight wrists for the eight arms that thrust out from his torso. There are 4 arms per each side of his body. Each individual arm is 6 feet long, very muscular and toned, and ends in a large 8 fingered hand. Pale yellow (the color of this text) is the color of the arms and the rest of his hollow body where masks or other bone structures do not emerge. Jurou's hollow torso is covered by well-defined abs, with his hollow hole being in the place of where his heart would normally be. His legs are just as muscular and toned as his arms and abs. Jurou's feet in this form match human feet, with his 8 toes per foot instead of 5 toes being the only changed variable. Jurou's reiatsu appearance is really nothing too special. It shimmers with a metallic gold color when it's being used or displayed. His reiatsu remains as this metallic gold throughout all of his forms.

{Gillian Appearance}
✹ In this form, Jurou is now a Gillian who towers over most other lifeforms. Perhaps the only other being more colossal than Jurou in this state is another Gillian. After having consumed countless other entities, Jurou was able to reach this state. Having the strongest will, and the most stable mind, he was able to ward off the other souls and seize control of the gargantuan body. Exactly like any other Gillian, Jurou dons a black cloak enormous enough to encompass the entirety of his new body. The cloak shrouds most things, including his set of six arms. Upon becoming a Gillian, Jurou's number of arms was reduced from eight to six. The only things not covered by the cloak are Jurou's eight-toed feet and his head.
✹ Unlike his standard hollow appearance, Jurou no longer has three masks attached to his head; there is only one. This mask that he now wears is the leftmost mask that was described beforehand. The mask bordered by golden pearls, with horns, curved rose-red glowing eyes, and a grinning set of jagged, serrated teeth. An addition that this mask did not have when Jurou was a normal hollow was the elongated Gillian nose. The mask now bears that as well. On his shoulders, neck, collarbone, and ankles, the lotus flowers have disappeared, but that is not the case for his wrists.

{Adjuchas Appearance}
✹ As a consequence of remaining the dominant mind in his Gillian form, and continuing to devour other lifeforms, Jurou was rewarded with the Adjuchas form. In his Adjuchas form, Jurou has greatly shrunk in size. From 25 feet and 965 pounds as a Gillian to what is now 7 feet 9 inches in height, and 270 pounds in weight. Similar to his Gillian appearance, Jurou has only one mask. This time around, his mask is not the leftmost. In his Adjuchas form, he once again dons the center mask. The mask with no border, the severed horns, circular eyes surrounded by lotus flowers, and human-like teeth. The lotus flowers have reappeared in all of their former places on his pale yellow body. As shared by both previous forms, Jurou's hollow hole is where his heart should be. His toned abdomen, arms, and legs are now all visible once more without the black cloak to obscure them. However, logically, due to his total body mass decreasing from what it once was as a lesser hollow, his muscle mass as an Adjuchas also appears to have decreased. Also, his number of arms has once again decreased from six, to four.

{Vasto Lorde Appearance}
✹ Upon becoming a Vasto Lorde, Jurou has reached a bridge between human and hollow forms. Firstly, his skin tone has reached a color normal for humans. Due to having faded from a yellow color initially, there does still exist a slight yellow tinge. However, if any human were given this skin tone, and they were to venture out in public, there would be no double takes or strange looks given. Secondly, Jurou now has human hair emerging from his scalp. The hair is black, straight, and quite long-- able to obscure some areas of the Vasto Lorde's face. Thirdly, a strip of his mask has disappeared. The mask Jurou now wears is the mask that was described as furthest to his right. This mask has a border of bone-white, 3 dimensional lotus flowers, the same severed horns, mostly closed human eyes bordered by golden lotus flower etchings, and the 2 rows of 8 teeth, each one inch in length. The strip of his mask that is no longer there was removed from his eyes and all other areas extending left or right from his eyes. As a result, the golden lotus etchings have been cut off at their centers, and a pair of human eyes has been revealed. Also, this is the only place. aside from his arms, where his human-like skin tone is visible. The rest of his body has been totally covered by the white hollow carapace.
✹ The revealed human eyes seem to give Jurou an odd new complexity as a living being. His human eyes are narrow, and protected by short eyelashes, causing him to look as if he were slightly squinting by default. Traveling from the tear duct, to the white sclera, further in you'll reach his iris. Jurou's irises are the most notable part of his eyes, which can likely be said for just about any being with eyes. His irises retain a dark shade of navy blue, akin to that of the depths of the sea. This iris color may give him a certain coolness or sense of tranquility when observed by others. A sort of welcome to sit down and get to know him. Jurou's Vasto Lorde form has also brought about a few other minor changes. Another decrease in size is one of them. Jurou has shrunk to 6'10, which is still a bit taller than many humans, and now weighs 220 pounds. Becoming even more humanoid, his amount of arms has once again decreased. Instead of having 4, he now has 2 just as a normal human does. The bone-white lotus flowers are no longer on his now human shoulders, arms, or wrists. Despite that, a golden lotus flower tattoo can now be seen on the palm of each of his hands.

{Arrancar Appearance}
✹ At last, Jurou has achieved his Arrancar form. To begin with, a relatively shaggy mass of hair sits atop Jurou's head, for the Arrancar doesn't care much for maintaining it. The shaggy mass holds a typical black color, as stated in his Vasto Lorde form, and is longest where it dangles before his face. There, the hair falls in uneven bangs, reaching greater length on both sides of Jurou's face, becoming much shorter above his narrow, dark eyebrows, then reaching a medium between previous lengths at the glabella where it conceals his forehead. In the back, it's equally as messy, descending down his neck. His hair is easily displaced, shifting with the slightest of motions. Occasionally, a strand or two of hair will find itself obstructing Jurou's sight, which will then be followed by an effortless swipe of the hand in order to remove the hair, until it returns once more. If sun rays beam down upon Jurou's head, his hair will from time to time adopt a dark brown tint.
✹ Jurou owns a vapid face; that is, no one feature on it draws the eye's gaze. Generally, his skin is clear of any acne, and its complexion is perhaps a shade darker than fair, after have faded from that pale yellow. Additionally, it is also entirely barren of any facial hair. While Jurou is capable of growing facial hair, he prefers not to. He favors the clean shaven look-- contrary to the hair atop his head. His jawline is sharp, just falling short of the chiseled, "hunky" image. Both jawlines extend until arriving at a point that is his chin. Jurou has a plain mouth, with thin lips similar to his eyebrows in that manner. When at rest, his lips sometimes construct a small, warm smile. When smiling, Jurou never reveals his teeth in a grin. Nothing like his jagged, serrated toothed mask. It's always a small smile. For this, his smile is often thought to be a facade. Advancing to the sides of his face, Jurou's ears are just as plain as his other facial features. Nothing to note aside from: they're small, their earlobes are attached, and they allow Jurou to hear. However, both earlobes do have earrings that pierce them. Both are identical-- small golden hoops.
✹ Further up his face resides a moderately long nose. Starting at its top, the nose extends from his face in a shallow curve where the bridge reaches the nose's tip which hardly protrudes much at all from the face. Remaining consistent with the prior trend of Jurou's facial features, his nose is also restricted in width from the top of its bridge to the tip, and likewise for the diameter of the nostrils. Just overhead lay a pair of eyes that are bordered by short eyelashes. Unfortunately, the repetition persists. As an Arrancar, Jurou's human eyes have not changed since his Vasto Lorde form. They are narrow to the degree that Jurou almost appears to be squinting his eyes by default, and a dark shade of navy blue.
✹ The supplement to Jurou's eyes, his eyebrows, are angled slightly towards the center of his face. Unlike his eyes, his eyebrows were not revealed in his Vasto Lorde form. They are, as you may have predicted, fine, but also dark. His eyebrows are reasonably close to his eyes, and at any given time, they appear to be locked in position. Mostly, his eyebrows remain in their natural position, not giving away too many expressions. In other cases, if needed, his eyebrows only aid in other expressions.
✹ Jurou measures at 6 feet tall in height and weighs in at 185 pounds, shrinking by 10 inches as a Vasto Lorde and shedding a total of 35 pounds. At 6 feet, Jurou is just above the average height for males; of course, that's dependent on where in the world you reside. In any case, for someone of his height and weight, this Arrancar is quite well-built. Fortunately for him, his sturdy physique from prior forms seems to have carried over. Jurou's 2 arms are very well defined; both biceps and triceps are clearly visible. When moving his arms, the muscle can be seen shifting about beneath his skin. Beyond his arms, Jurou's hands are large-- he could easily palm a basketball. Pertaining to his abdomen, the outline of a set of abs is clearly manifested as well. Finally, just as the upper and mid section elements of his body, Jurou's legs are noticeably defined.
✹ The clothing attire of Jurou is absolutely erratic and without an ounce of taste in fashion. The Arrancar chooses his clothing with only convenience. Most commonly Jurou appears in: no shirt with athletic shorts and tennis shoes, a t-shirt with jeans and tennis shoes, and sweatpants with a hoodie and tennis shoes; the contents of the three clothing sets often intermingle. However, if a special occasion calls for a specific attire, he is fine with that. From time to time, Jurou also wears different types of accessories. These include: hats, with or without brims depending on the weather, earbuds/headphones for listening to music, and perhaps a book in his hand-- if that can even be considered an accessory. Now and again he'll be seen chewing on a piece of gum or a toothpick.
✹ Last but not least, his mask fragment. Many Arrancar wear remnants of their hollow mask or form even after breaking their maks; so, where is Jurou's? Jurou's mask fragment is of the mask he wore as a Vasto Lorde. The mask that has a border of bone-white, 3 dimensional lotus flowers, severed horns, mostly closed human eyes bordered by golden lotus flower etchings, and the 2 rows of 8 teeth, each one inch in length. But, since it is indeed a mask fragment, only part of it remains. The part that remains is of the left side of his face. The fragment begins beneath his eye, extends all the way left, stopping before leaving his face and reaching the side of his head, and also extends upwards to the top of his forehead. It does not drop any lower than his bottom eyelid. Overall, the fragment cover his left eye (he is still able to see due to the mask having an eye-hole there even if the eye is slightly closed], the facial area just before his left temple, the left half of his nose bridge, and everything above those listed. As a result, the golden lotus etching that borders the left eye is visible, and the left severed horn is also visible on his forehead. The lotus flower border of the mask is also there; however, only 1/4th of it remains due to his mask fragment only actually being about 1/4th of the entire mask.

Dislikes:
✹ Hollows - "These are beings driven solely by desire. A desire only to consume. Yes, I am aware that I myself am a hollow as well; which is why I currently have a certain.. disdain for myself. This disdain is part of what drives me in my endeavor to be rid of this form."
✹ Authority - "In some cases, one will assert their dominance, and power over another. Or, in other instances, one will manipulate individuals through fear. I find this to be quite displeasing, and unacceptable. Authority should only be permitted if the underlings are willing to accept their place; or, if it is in fact for the better in the long run."
✹ Arrogance - "Has there ever been any one person who actually found the arrogance of another pleasant? Most times, arrogance is obnoxious, and only acts as a detriment to whomever displays it. Arrogance can easily cloud judgement and shroud the truth."
✹✹ Reincarnation - "Although we are not given another human life upon dying, we are given new forms and new lives. Additionally, depending on which form you are given, there is a possibility that you will die once more, and again, begin a new life. I hold the belief that this is a sequence of suffering. The only method of escape is to achieve Nirvana."
✹✹ Soul Society - "Now that I've briefly described my opinion of the afterlife and such, you should have been capable of anticipating this. Soul Society is a place where souls are sent to, once again, live another life. Some even pick up blades, and become Shinigami; joining in an endless war against Hueco Mundo and its inhabitants."
✹✹ Hueco Mundo - "Hueco Mundo, is worse than Soul Society. Here, your human form is cast aside, and you are assigned a new body. A monstrous body. A body with a built-in, primordial desire to consume. Consume others, and force them to become a subservient addition to yourself; and I, am one of these monsters."
✹✹ Hell - "Ah yes, Hell. My favorite of the afterlife realms. This is the realm where the bad guys are sent. After living out their lives, they will find themselves imprisoned, tortured, and suffering for eternity. Never again will they see a chance to achieve Nirvana. Wondeful."
✹✹✹ Sweets - "Nothing much to say here. I've never had the taste for sweets. I especially despise the lingering aftertaste that a few in particular have. I'd much prefer a cup of tea."
✹✹✹ Bright Colors - "Similar to my dislike of sweets; I don't have any grand reasoning behind this. I just find bright colors irritating to look at."
✹✹✹ Dishonesty - "Of all things in existence, truth is one of those which I hold in the highest regard. I abhor lies, and any who partake in them. We should always endeavor to reveal the truth behind all things."
✹✹✹ Smoke - "Another trivial dislike of mine. The sensation of having smoke in your eyes, or lungs can be quite aggravating."
✹✹✹ Materialism - "Materialism.. Another thing which I detest. Those who have an infatuation with material things need to wake up. There are greater things at play than currency, or items which convey the amount of currency you are in possession of to others. Though I find nothing wrong with simply enjoying a few things here and there. There's a fine line."
✹✹✹ Conflict - "Although conflict seems to be something which no species can escape, it many times ends in suffering for at least one party. I myself am not exempt from conflict; however, I do my best to stray from it. If a scenario comes about in which conflict is necessary, so be it."
✹✹✹ Lack of Composure - "In all that we do, we should remain focused and composed. What can we lose from doing so? On the other hand, distraction has the potential to postpone what must be done."
✹✹✹ Suffering - "Of all things I have an aversion to, suffering most likely sits atop the list. As one who is empathetic, I can not bear to see another in pain."
✹✹✹ Desire - "Desire is often a source of both conflict, and suffering. The pleasure that follows gaining an object of desire is very fleeting, so why aspire for insignificant things?"
Likes:
✹ Consuming - "Yes, I am aware that this is quite the contradiction, considering the impression you may already have of me. Rest assured, I am utterly ashamed of my desire to consume. Nevertheless, I must rid myself of this form as a step towards Nirvana."
✹✹ Music - "Quite possibly one of the greatest creations, and form of art, to ever come about. Music is highly versatile, and appropriate for many occasions. It's wonderful."
✹✹ Meditation - "What came to your mind? Was it an image of an old monk, sitting in the lotus position, chanting 'ohmm' repeatedly? Erase that image. Stop what you are doing. Clear your mind. Forget anything you were previously concerned with, and only focus on simply being in the present. Now you are meditating."
✹✹ Reading - "The acquisition of knowledge is something else I hold in high regard, and reading is one of the greatest methods to do so."
✹✹ Silence - "Do you remember my dislike for lack of composure? Silence, for me in any case, allows for greater focus. Silence hols a certain tranquility and beauty that is often underappreciated."
✹✹ Traveling - "Visiting places I have never been before, in the human world of course, has always been a delight for me. It's great to see how things are, and how people live in diverse regions."
✹✹ Outdoors - "Outdoors is too broad of a word here. Remember, Nearly the entirety of Hueco Mundo is 'outdoors'. A desert barren of just about anything but hollows. This should say 'wildlife' or 'forests'. Something to that degree. I love to listen to birds sing, water rush. I love fresh air, earthy smells, and simply observing."
✹✹ Art - "I greatly appreciate art, and its many forms. Music, painting, drawing, dancing, perhaps all of them. Art is a wonderful form of expression."
✹✹ Socializing - "I love to meet new people. I love to learn all of their flaws, and aspirations. I love learning what drives them and what they despise. It's just intriguing."
✹✹ Knowledge - "In this world, knowledge easily outweighs the majority of things in significance. Ignorance is absolutely unacceptable."
✹✹ Tea - "Tea is marvelous. An ambrosial, revitalizing beverage."
Flaws:
✹✹ Empathetic - "As in my expression about suffering beforehand, I am an empathetic person. When others are in pain, whether it be an ally, or a foe, I feel it as well. My being empathetic is one reason I do my best to evade conflict."
✹✹ Merciful - "This ties into my empathy. As I'm understanding of the emotions and pain of others, I am often reluctant to finish off, or even harm those who are considered enemies. It's likely that I will never finish off an opponent unless my hand is forced."
✹✹ Trusting - "I have no qualms with placing my faith in others. If I happen to be double crossed, it'll be on the conscious of whoever has done it. If it affects me too negatively, I will deal with it accordingly."
✹✹ Unfiltered Honesty - "Like I said, I hold the truth in a very high regard. I'm unsure if there's a case where I would ever find myself lying. If asked for my opinion, I'll give it honestly. If there's something I wish to refrain from saying, I simply won't say it."
✹✹ Forgiving - "I believe that a person deserves a chance to redeem themselves. There is not a single being who exists that has not made an error. Wouldn't you like to be given a chance to mend your mistake?"
Habits:
✹✹ Meditating - "Meditation is something I do quite often. The feeling of serenity is irreplaceable. Most people are fixated on the future, on things that haven't come to pass yet, and it troubles them. Why not take a step back, and live in the present? It's wonderful."
✹✹ Tapping - "Sort of an idiosyncrasy of mine. From time to time, I tap on the opposite arm, my chest, my legs, or whatever I'm holding. I'm not too sure how I even began doing this."
✹✹ Humming - "Doesn't everybody do this? That's what I thought anyways."
✹✹ Chewing - "Chewing helps to reduce tension, which especially builds up in the jaw. Gum, toothpicks, or even blades of grass are all things I chew on."
✹✹✹ "It's wonderful" - "I suppose this is my catchphrase. 'It's wonderful' is just the way I describe something I greatly enjoy."
Fears:
✹✹ Reincarnation - "Hopefully, before my next death comes, I've achieved Nirvana. I have no intentions of living out another life. Of course, that's assuming my death is brought about by a shinigami, and I'm sent to Soul Society. I'd much prefer to be ended by a quincy, and erased entirely."
✹✹ Failing Nirvana - "Nirvana is my most highly prioritized ambition. I'd prefer to be entirely erased than reborn again, just as I said before.
✹✹✹ Inflicting Pain - "I loathe seeing others in pain. I'm forced to consume other beings, and it disgusts me. Whenever I can, I'll avoid inflicting pain upon others."
Alignment:
✹ Chaotic Neutral
Goals:
✹ Consume - "Unfortunately, as a hollow, this is something I must do. At any rate, eventually I'll be rid of my hollow form. Them, my hunger will finally cease."
✹✹ Learning - "With my love for knowledge and reading, this should only make sense. Being informed and knowledgeable is of the utmost importance. I'd like to learn as much as I'm able to."
✹✹ Limit Suffering - "Yes, once again. My disdain for suffering. I am aware that it's impossible to eliminate pain for everyone, everywhere. Yet I will still do my best to relieve any pain from those who cross my path in the near future."
✹✹ Write a book - "Currently, I record all of my notable thoughts, and experiences in a journal. I feel it is necessary to keep note of things I find important, so eventually, I'm able to share it with others."
✹✹ Achieve Nirvana - "Again, my greatest ambition. At this point, it should be clear what this means. However, I'll break it down once more. Essentially, I am striving to be freed from suffering, earthly desires, and reincarnation."
Overall Personality:
✹ Perhaps the most obvious, and defining trait of Jurou's personality is his absolute lack of restraint. No matter who it is that he is speaking to, he will indeed say whatever he pleases. Whether it be something personal, that would normally be considered private, or something that the person whom he is conversing with clearly would not want to hear. Jurou believes that the truth should always be brought forth. He is essentially an open book. That being said, rest assured, he is not foolish. Jurou knows when his tongue should remain held.
✹ On that note, Jurou often expects his energy to be reciprocated. When meeting strangers, which he finds enjoyment in, Jurou strives to get to know his new acquaintance. It could be considered a hobby of his. He believes it to be important to be capable of understanding the way people function in the world. He also simply considers it interesting. The more peculiar a person, the more fun it is to meet them. During interactions, he may do things such as: crack a small joke here and there, ask about an individual's interests, and possibly their past. He may inquire about their aspirations and what drives them as well. This also results in Jurou making a good number of friends. After all, how else could such an interaction end?
✹ Regarding his relationships with others, Jurou is often very trusting. Akin to his unreserved nature described earlier, he will often place his faith in the hands of others without batting an eyelash. He is not afraid to rely on others, nor does he fear betrayal. If it does come to pass that Jurou is betrayed, odds are, whoever betrayed him will be forgiven. For the better or worse, he believes in giving just about anybody a second chance.
✹ Though he does enjoy social interaction, Jurou does not require it. This makes him quite versatile when work is needed to be accomplished, as he works well in groups, and alone. Jurou does not fear isolation, and in fact, it may be the case that he thrives on it. Jurou always aim to be well-composed in whatever he is working towards, and working alongside others can bring about unwanted distractions. If he is continuously prodded at, or nagged at while at work, he may find himself slightly irritated. Granted, he may become irritated or aggravated, Jurou has superb management of his anger. He never allows his temper to get the best of him. In any case, striving for full composure is not the only reason Jurou works well alone. Hueco Mundo, where Jurou resides, is a vast, barren, and dark desert. As a hollow, or any living thing within Hueco Mundo for that matter, solitude is part of the package.
✹ As a hollow, Jurou is naturally driven by the desire to consume other souls. However, he also has his own stance on the primitive instinct. On one hand, Jurou abhors hollows, their form, and nearly everything else about them, especially their desire to consume. On the other hand, he is willing to give in to the desire to consume, as he so desperately wishes to be rid of his hollow form. Of all things pertaining to himself, this is likely the most, if not the only thing he is ashamed of.
✹ His disdain towards hollows is not the sole reason for his reluctance to consume others. Jurou despises inflicting pain upon others, and watching others suffer. This is another defining trait of his. Apart from his consumption of souls, Jurou is quite benevolent. If someone in distress were to cross his path, it's likely that he'd drop everything and offer his aid. Similarly, Jurou scorns conflict and will do his best to steer clear of it.He understands that it is nigh impossible to cease all conflict, but he hopes to do his best in attempts to prevent it.
✹ Although Jurou does his best to avoid, or prevent conflict, there will always be times when his hand is forced. If this is the case, he will do his best to de-escalate the situation. Possibly through means of verbal persuasion. If that fails, in a fight, Jurou will do his best to avoid fatally wounding his opponent. In almost any scenario, he will show mercy to his opponent.
✹ Jurou refrains from worrying or becoming concerned with events that will take place in the distant future. In his eyes, doing such things is merely a waste of effort and energy. One should do their best to live in the present, because that's where they reside, and always will reside. Focus on what you can do now, and not later; for once you have reached that future point that you were so obsessed with, you will have missed out on experiencing anything within the time that has already lapsed. However when he does anticipate the way things turn out, he tends to be more of a realist than an optimist or pessimist.
✹ Benevolence and good guy stuff aside, Jurou has his own agenda, separate from everybody else. On this agenda, there are a few different things. One of them being an interest in learning about all things in the world. This is a factor in his interest of people and their personalities. Jurou holds knowledge in high regard, and favors the idea that all who are able should seek knowledge to avoid ignorance. As testament to this, he enjoys reading, traveling, and of course, meeting new people. A few things he enjoys reading and, or learning about include: the dominant lifeforms of each realm, the science behind technological advancements created by humans, the ancient history of each realm, and the different religions practiced by humans. He doesn't care much for fictional stories. Concerning his travels, they are heavily concentrated in the human world. Jurou relishes in visiting the varying countries of each continent, and observing their culture and establishments.
✹ Furthermore, Jurou wishes to write his own book. He owns a journal, in which all experiences and thoughts that he sees significant, are recorded. One day he hopes to organize its contents, put it into a real book, and share it with others. As of now, the majority of its contents encompass his experiences as a hollow in Hueco Mundo. In the future, Jurou will record his traveling experiences, his observation, and his opinions on his observations.
✹ Another goal, his biggest goal as a matter of a fact, is the achieve Nirvana. Jurou frowns upon Soul Society, Hueco Mundo, and even Hell. He dislikes that after one's initial death, they are bound to begin a new life in one of those three realms. Jurou aspires to find a way in which he will be free from all realms, and rebirth. If he does, perhaps his book will lead others down his path, and aid them in accomplishing the same. That would bring him great joy.

❝ Please do not challenge me. ❞
Fighting Style:
✹ Due to his empathetic, good-type nature, Jurou does his best to avoid conflict and battles as much as possible. One of his last resort methods, before battle, is talking the person, monster, or whatever entity down. If Jurou is sure that he can persuade his opponent to forgo any fighting, he will try it. If talking fails, he is left with one other option. Jurou does not go about avoiding battle through these means often, but he still considers it an option. The final thing he'd consider doing to avoid fighting is retreating. While Jurou is very empathetic, he still does have a shred of pride. As a result, he doesn't do this very often.
✹ Now, let's talk about what happens if Jurou is obligated to fight. What types of tactics does this hollow use? Well, he largely fights quite passively. Still not wanting to harm his opponent much even after choosing to fight, Jurou will draw out the battle as long as he is able to. In order to do this, he will give his entire focus to the battle, just as he would give his full composure to any other task. Jurou does this so that he is able to pick up on all movements or attacks made by his opponent, then evade.
✹ Jurou dances around the battlefield, evading enemy attacks, in hopes that they deplete their own stamina to such a degree that they render themselves unfit to fight any longer. Additionally, when eluding enemy attacks, or just in general, Jurou searches for openings. More specifically, Jurou searches for openings that would allow him to deal a devastating strike; a strike that would stagger or stun his opponent. With these strikes, Jurou is endeavoring simply to shake his foe up, not fatally wound them. Of course, is all assuming that Jurou has greater speed.
✹ Let's take a look at an example. Here's the scenario: Jurou is engaged with a not-so-wise swordsman who has a knack for putting power into huge slashes. The swordsman raises their blade to their left shoulder and begins to swing in a wide arc. However, just before they have halfway completed the slash, Jurou dips in, and strikes the swordsman in their solar plexus. Naturally, they make a gasping sound as all air in their lungs is forced out. Now the enemy is at a huge disadvantage, struggling to get their breath back. Meanwhile, Jurou is now able to select from a variety of next moves. Most likely though, he'll go for a solid blow to the temple, to knock his opponent unconscious.
✹ If Jurou is unable to consistently elude attacks, he tightens up his defense. To be more precise, he will look for chances to block incoming onslaughts, and potentially even deflect them, creating an opening for one of his forceful counters. Another thing Jurou favors in battle is using the momentum of the enemy against them. This is primarily done when the opponent is larger, and or stronger than Jurou. But, seeing as he is currently 11 feet tall, and 365 pounds, it isn't really something he's looking out for. When combating smaller, more pesky, or faster foes, Jurou is much more careful. In these instances, he really looks for counters; because generally, the smaller and faster foes tend to be a bit weaker in force. Nevertheless, Jurou is not foolish enough to underestimate his adversary. Under these conditions, he knows that if he manages to deflect an attack hard enough, their speed will work as a detriment to them, throwing them off balance or leaving them open.
✹ We've discussed how Jurou confronts adversaries when he is reluctant.. But what about when he isn't? When driven by his desire to devour, hunting for prey, how does he engage? Well, it actually is not vastly different from the previous description. Though he has the intent to consume whoever he is opposing, Jurou still looks to prevent as much pain or suffering as possible. Now, he wants to end the duel quickly, keeping that goal in mind. He still searches for dodges, deflects, and devastating blows. Yet, he can not only play defense. After all, he is attempting to take the opponent's life.
✹ To initiate, Jurou often looks for moves such as: legs sweeps, roundhouse kicks, uppercuts, or palm strikes. All of these movements are done with the ambition to stagger his enemy, just a stated before. After opening with such attacks, he will quickly follow them up, hoping to finish off his foe with haste. If he is not able to end the battle early, he most definitely has other methods. In some cases, since he does have many more arms than most, Jurou will attempt to catch his opponent off guard. Sometimes, he will bait the enemy into putting all of their effort into guarding one attack, so that they are open to additional strikes or grabs from his extra arms. Both fighting reluctantly, and willingly, Jurou will also attempt to use his multiple arms to subdue the foe.
Overall Ability:
✹ Aligning with his personality, Jurou's overall ability theme is also centered around Buddhist ideals and enlightenment. One particular Buddhist ideal to be precise. That is, becoming one with everything. This is the basis of his power. As long as something is "tagged" with his reiatsu, Jurou is able to meld two things together, or even simply make them heavily attracted to one another. His ability is similar to gravity or magnetism, but there is most definitely more to it than that. Once Jurou has "tagged" something, he is able to apply his "becoming one" mechanic to it and anything else that has been tagged.
✹ Jurou has a few different methods of applying a "tag" to a target. One of the most simple ways to do so is through basic contact. A plain old punch, kick, or shoulder bash all work. However, if he wants to be even more subtle, even a mere hand on one's shoulder is liable to apply a "tag". The second manner of applying a "tag" is through projectiles. For example, suppose a baseball has been marked by a "tag", and Jurou has thrown said baseball at a target. If the ball hits its target, Jurou can spend reiatsu to apply another "tag". However, this is only applicable to practical projectiles. Something to the degree of a cero, or perhaps a bala, can not be "tagged". The third route to applying a "tag" is really just a combination of the first two. Being that with the first method, "tags" can be applied through physical contact, and with the second they can be applied through projectiles, Jurou is able to remotely "tag" something. To better explain, consider the previously "tagged" baseball. Let us assume that the baseball had missed its target instead. Perhaps it dropped to the ground and rolled, until eventually bumping into a rock. As long as Jurou had maintained the "tag" on the baseball, he would be able to use more reiatsu to apply a "tag".
✹ Further expanding on the idea that Jurou's ability allows him to make things one, he is able to apply it to himself as well. In his case though, he does not need to apply a "tag" to himself. That being said, Jurou can draw things that are "tagged" towards himself, or vice versa. Additionally, he is able to "become one" with "tagged" entities. Let's presume that Jurou is in Hueco Mundo, and he has "tagged" some of the sand beneath him. He would be able to "become one" with this sand, by turning into it. However, he would not be able to manipulate the entirety of the sands of Hueco Mundo. Whatever he "becomes one" with can not exceed his total body mass.

{Nirvana's Omen}
Technique Name: Nirvana’s Omen
Class: 4
Technique Type: Hollow
Usable By: Hollows
Technique Element: N/A
Technique Description: This technique allows Jurou to apply a “tag” to an entity. The tag appears as the same golden lotus flower print from one of his masks. Upon application, the “tag” will initially glow, then dim until it is the exact same as the lotus print from his mask. From there forth, the “tag” will remain until Jurou wishes to remove it, or he has no remaining reiatsu. Otherwise, it will remain. Jurou is also able to imbue other abilities with Nirvana's Omen.
How is it activated?: Nirvana’s Omen is able to be applied through physical contact with Jurou, or through contact with another marked entity.
Drawbacks: Each time a new Nirvana's Omen tag is created Jurou must spend 50 reiatsu. The technique has no other uses aside from "tagging" something, and even then the methods in which tagging can be done are limited. If the tagged part of an entity is severed, Jurou will of course no longer be able to draw anything to the entity it was severed from. However, if he chooses, he can maintain the tag on severed appendages. After creating one tag, the next tag requires an addition of 50 reiatsu to the previous cost to create. Each tag demands a payment of 50 reiatsu per post to be maintained, but Jurou can remove a tag at any time if he does not wish to continue paying this price. If Jurou removes a tag from an entity and wishes to once again apply a tag to that same entity, the price is whatever it was originally. For example: if Jurou tags a tree after tagging 2 things prior to it, the cost is 150. Let’s assume he removes the tag in the same post that it was applied. In the next post, if he desires to apply a tag to that same tree, the cost is that same 150.

{Nirvana's Assimilation}
Technique Name: Nirvana’s Assimilation
Class: 4
Technique Type: Hollow
Usable By: Hollows
Technique Element: N/A
Technique Description: Through Nirvana’s Assimilation, Jurou is able to choose any of the “tagged” entities “become one”. Two “tagged” rocks would be drawn towards one another and eventually meld into one larger rock. Or, Jurou can simply cause the entities to be drawn towards one another with extreme force, but without melding them.
Tagged entities can dangerously zoom towards other tagged entities. Tagged opponents can be thrown off balance by the pull of another tagged entity. An opponent with another entity attracted to them, and pressing forcefully against their body, may experience harsh pain. Entities imbued with Nirvana's Omen, that are 50 feet (or more) apart, have an pulling force equivalent to 50% of Jurou's spiritual pressure. Every 10 feet closer is an increase of pulling force (+25% of Jurou's spiritual pressure).
[50ft+ = 50% of SPPR] [40ft = 75% of SPPR] [30ft = 100% of SPPR] [20ft = 125% of SPPR] [10ft = 150% of SPPR] Any numbers in between intervals of 10 (45 for example) correspond to the further distance. So if something were 45 feet away, it would have a pulling force of 50% of Jurou's SPPR, rather than 75%.
Jurou is also able to apply this to himself, either drawing himself to another “tag” or drawing another “tag” towards himself. He is able to “become one” with another “tagged entity”. For example, he could "become one" with a brick wall that he has tagged. This is mostly used for hiding or evading oncoming attacks.
How is it activated?: Jurou is able to activate Nirvana’s Assimilation upon spending 100 reiatsu, and 50 reiatsu per post to maintain it.
Drawbacks: Nirvana’s Assimilation can only affect “tagged” entities or himself. Otherwise, with no “tags” active, this technique is practically useless. Furthermore, to use it, it there is an initial cost of 100 reiatsu to give a tag pulling force, and 50 reiatsu per post to maintain it. If an entity's highest OS is 250% of Jurou's highest OS, the effects are negated.
[250% = entirely negated] [200% = 75% negation] [150% = 50% negation] [100% - 149% = 25% negation] [Lower primary OS = 0% negation]
When Jurou is "one" with a tagged entity, he can not take any other action, until he reemerges. He is only able to "become one" with nonliving things.

{Siddhartha's Truth}
Technique Name: Siddhartha’s Truth
Class: 7
Technique Type: Hollow
Usable By: Hollows
Technique Element: N/A
Technique Description: Siddhartha’s Truth is a projectile type technique. The projectile is a hand, about 1 meter by 1 meter in size, and shares the same golden color of Jurou’s reiatsu. When used, this technique will send forth the hand in a "halt" shape with great force. It flies forth at 600 speed and impact at 600 strength. This technique can be imbued with Nirvana's Omen.
How is it activated?: Upon thrusting forth a hand in the “halt” shape, and spending reiatsu, Siddhartha’s Truth can be activated.
Drawbacks: Siddhartha’s Truth almost always has a very linear trajectory (the one exception being if it is redirected by Nirvana's Assimilation), and a cost of 100 reiatsu is required to use it.

{Siddhartha's Path}
Technique Name: Siddhartha’s Path
Class: 4
Technique Type: Hollow
Usable By: Hollows
Technique Element: N/A
Technique Description: Upon activating Siddhartha’s Path, Jurou’s movements will be followed by an afterimage that shares the same golden color as his reiatsu. This afterimage is always imbued with Nirvana’s Omen, and can apply Nirvana’s Omen to whatever comes into contact with it. Furthermore, Nirvana’s Assimilation can be used to draw other “tagged” entities to the afterimage.
How is it activated?: Siddhartha’s Path is activated upon spending 25 reiatsu, and follows Jurou’s movements.
Drawbacks: Siddhartha’s Path is a mere afterimage, and can not directly harm an opponent. Therefore, it only costs 25 reiatsu to use. However, Jurou will usually imbue this technique with a tag, making the total cost 75 reiatsu. Otherwise, this technique has no use. Additionally, Nirvana’s Assimilation can draw “tagged” entities to the afterimage, but the afterimage can not be drawn to other entities. The afterimage dissipates shortly after appearing.

Technique Name: [Garganta (Cave)] (CINEMATIC TECHNIQUE)
Class: [4]
Technique Type: [Hollow Technique]
Technique Element: [None]
Technique Description and Effects:
A technique used by Hollows and Arrancar to move between the human world and Hueco Mundo, though Arrancar under the service of Las Noches have demonstrated the ability to use it to enter Soul Society as well. This opens a black tear in the air which resembles the gaping maw of a shark, and the inside of which is simply a void of shimmering black. Those inside create pathways made from their reishi, on which to walk to the exit. Some, who have mastered the Garganta, are able to create a reishi pathway which moves them rather than them having to walk along it, treating the Garganta like a sort of elevator to where they are going. This is a slow opening technique, and one that cannot be used in battle.
How to use technique:
The tear simply opens upon the user's will. This technique uses no reiatsu, but it cannot be used if the user is down to 0 reiatsu.

{Human}
✹ Jurou was the firstborn and only child of this couple who had been married not too long ago. They were settled in eastern China, near the coast. Jurou's mother was Chinese. This was where she'd been all here life. The father on the other hand, was Japanese. His birthplace was actually Japan. However, he had come to China on a business trip, and met who would become his future wife. The two spent some time together while he was in China. He stayed in a hotel, and they went on many dates. Some time later, when it was time for him to return to Japan, they made plans for her to visit his home. Their time together in Japan was similar, but they had a much better time. Him, having a very handsomely paying job, was able to show her to Japan's greatest experiences. In fact, he was so well-paid that he was one of the most wealthy individuals in Japan.
✹ After a little over a year of being together, he proposed to her. She said yes. They agreed to have their wedding in China, and make their abode there. It was quite a nice place. A large traditional style Chinese house, set in a place overlooking a lake. Their home was secluded from most others, and a few trees dotted the perimeter. They even had a koi pond to the right of the front of the house. The wife was thrilled. The only other occupant of the house was the family's dog; a large golden retriever, with a thick mass of shaggy, golden fur covering it. Its name was Keiju. Keiju had been with the two since a week after their marriage.
✹ Jurou Kosai was born as a spoiled little bastard. Upon entering the world, he kicked and thrashed about while subjecting his parents, and the nurses to an head-splitting wail. When the nurses handed him over to the woman who gave him life, his tantrum certainly didn't cease. A few chuckles from the residents of the room, including the parents, were drowned out by Jurou's fearsome cry. Everybody paid it no mind at the time. They figured he'd wear himself out, and put himself to sleep. However, even in the hospital nursery, he continued to wail, and wail, and then wail some more. The other newborns, who would have been sleeping cozily, were woken by the brat's howling, and in frustration, they also began to cry. The only known method to silence was incessant attention. But of course, that isn't very convenient.
✹ Eventually, the Kosai's were clear to bring Jurou home from the hospital. After giving birth to her first child, she became a stay at home mother, looking after the infant. Unfortunately, she was given no rest. Jurou learned to crawl in no time, and unsurprisingly, he became a magnet for trouble. He'd crawl over to, and push whatever he could find. If it was small enough, he'd try to chew on it. His mother was forced to baby-proof everything. Now that he was unable to bring about any more mischief, his deafening cry was known once more. In response, his mother would pick him up and rock him until he was silent. Then, once he was hungry, or needed a diaper change, he'd cry some more.
✹ I ✹
✹ Shortly after turning 1, Jurou learned how to walk. This only spelled out increased trouble for his mother. With his newly acquired skill, he was able to reach places that were previously too high. Only a few things were knocked over before his mother baby-proofed again. Nevertheless, there was still once way he could be a nuisance. Keiju. Now able to pursue the dog by walking, Jurou let him have it. He tugged and tugged at Keiju's golden fur, and his tail as well. Initially, the retriever wasn't too bothered. He knew just how young the boy was, and would give him a slight nudge, causing him to stumble away. Even so, Jurou just wouldn't let up. Day by day, he made sure that along with his mother, he irritated Keiju as well.
✹ Soon, a low growl resonated within the dog each time his fur was pulled on. Jurou did not heed the warning whatsoever, and continued until his mother removed him. Well, obviously Keiju was getting fed up with the little annoyance. The next time Jurou approached, Keiju sprung before the boy had even done anything. His teeth sunk into Jurou's flesh, on the right side of his face. He wouldn't let go, and as a result, Jurou's father was forced to pull him off. Blood oozed from the bite mark left on his face. His mother rushed him to the emergency room, while his father.. Keiju was taken outside and put down.
✹ Keiju was buried in their back yard. Jurou stayed in the hospital for some time, receiving the best of medical care through his father's funds. Jurou's mother was greatly saddened, and did not blame Keiju. She pinned the blame on Jurou, though he was young, his pestering never ended. In any case, she realized a 1 year old couldn't quite be punished anyways. Besides, he now had a large scar on his face to show for his mistake.
✹ II ✹
✹ At 2 years old, Jurou had finally acquired the skill of speech. Compared to most toddlers, he began quite late. The first word that he'd ever uttered was "no". Apart from that, he was able to understand a good portion of whatever was being said to him. The entirety of his vocabulary at the time was composed of the following words and phrases: "no" "I want.." "eat". Yes, that's it. If Jurou was hungry, his line would be "I want eat". When he wanted something other than food, he'd point at it, and repeat "I want" over and over until it was given to him. He always got what he wanted. If the occasion ever arose where he did not want anything at the time, that's when he would say "no". No matter what his parents said to him, his response would be "no". They were unsure of whether or not he knew the true meaning of the word. It was likely that he did.
✹ III ✹
✹ Now 3 years old, Jurou had become much more proficient in speaking. Naturally, his vocabulary had expanded beyond what was previously "no", "I want", and "eat". Rest assured, he still made certain that his parents were aware when he wanted something, and he still got whatever it was that he wanted. Jurou's desires as a 3 year old were limited to short-term pleasures such as snacks or toys. He mostly took interest in sweet snacks, particularly Japanese mochi ice cream. During trips to the grocery store, Jurou always reached for it upon seeing it. He knew the exact aisle it was in, and what shelf his favorite flavor was stocked on. His mother didn't dare decline, for she knew the calamity that would unfold if she did. She never thought to punish Jurou. Instead, she granted his wishes to prevent him from acting out. What is it that they say? Oh right. He had her in the palm of his 3 year old hand.
✹ Occasionally, when Jurou's father had days off from work, or rather when he chose to not work, his parents would bring him to an amusement park, to plays, to zoos, to aquariums, and more. In reality, Jurou's father could take a year off from working and still live a luxurious life. His wealth was gargantuan. However, he was not a fool, which was why he was in possession of so much wealth in the first place. In any case, Jurou continued to be coddled, and given whatever he pleased.
✹ IV ✹
✹ One night, Jurou's father had invited a partner of his, and his family, the Zhao's, over for a formal dinner. Their dining room was large enough to account for both families, so there were no issues with space. The mothers from both families would collaborate in the kitchen, and prepare the meal themselves. While Jurou's father was very wealthy, he had no interest in hiring butlers or maids to work in their home. The two families were already familiar with one another. The women, as they cooked, discussed the irritations and difficulties that arose from having to look after their young children. Just as Mrs. Kosai, Mrs. Zhao had only one child, and it was a son. He was six years old at this time, two years older than Jurou. Meanwhile, the men who were down the hall, were both audibly chuckling. They weren't speaking about anything that held significance; just cracking jokes as they shared a drink.
✹ Unlike the adults, the kids were not familiar with each other. This would be their very first encounter. As a matter of fact, this would be the first time Jurou met anybody within his age range. Prior to the Zhao's arrival, Jurou's parents pleaded with him to be well behaved, and treat his new acquaintance well. At the moment, both youngsters were in Jurou's room. Though his father was Japanese, the family was living in China, so that was the language Jurou's parents taught him. Therefore, he was able to communicate just fine with the Zhao's Chinese son.
✹ On the wall, there was a flat screen TV set up, and a few recliner chairs seated in front of it, with buttons on them that were able to manipulate the position of the chair. The two adolescents were both lazily laid back in two of the chairs. Jurou, held the TV remote in his right hand, and was toying with the buttons in the reclining chair. The chair rose up and down repeatedly, making whirring machine-like sounds as it went. A child's program was playing on the TV. The program was centered around a young ninja, and his two ninja companions. Each episode, the trio of ninjas pursued an antagonist who was attempting to set a nefarious plot into motion. However, the ninjas always stopped whatever villain it was. Each time they overcame an enemy, the enemy's "secret word" was revealed. It was really a TV show meant to teach juveniles new words. However, Jurou paid that no mind, and was only interested in the ninja aspect. This was his favorite thing to watch.
✹ In the other chair, the Zhao's son was becoming restless. "Juroouuuu! Can I have the remote now? I want to watch my favorite show! This one is stupid.." In return, he received a plain "No". Jurou felt quite high and mighty having the remote in his hand, and being the one who controlled what was on the TV. "Jurooouuu!" In an even more whiny tone now. Once again, he was given a plain "No". The boy got out of his seat and approached Jurou's. "Cmon let me see the remote! We've been watching this show forever!" He reached for the remote, trying to snatch it from Jurou's hand. Jurou moved it out of reach, and with his free hand shoved the boy back. "No! I want to watch this!" The Zhao's boy came at him again. "Give me it!" "I said NO!" This time, Jurou swung the remote at the boy, and the hard plastic edge of the remote connected with his eye. At first, they both sat there in silence, the boy shocked, and Jurou waiting to his his response. Then, the pain registered, and the boy began to wail. He took off, running out of the room to tell his mother.
✹ When the Zhao's son informed his mother of the incident, Jurou's mother who was still with her began to apologize immediately. Before dinner had even started, it ended. The Zhao family gathered up their things and left. Afterwards, both of Jurou's parents began to scold him for his actions. But, that was the only consequence. Really, neither of them cared what happened to the other boy. They were only upset because of how Jurou's actions would affect their family's image and status. Jurou, after being scolded, simply went back to watching the television.
✹ V ✹
✹ After his fifth birthday, it was time for Jurou to begin preparing for school. He and his mother went out to buy supplies. First, his backpack. Unsurprisingly to his mother, he chose one that had the trio of ninja characters from his favorite cartoon. Following that, they picked out a pack of pencils, crayons, glue, scissors that had the tips rounded out for safety, and a miniature bottle of hand sanitizer. "What's that mom?" "It's for cleaning your hands Jurou. All you have to do is squeeze a little bit out onto one hand, and use the other to rub it in. After that, you can wave your hands around a bit to dry them off. I want you to make sure you stay clean. We aren't sure where those other kids are from, or what they do!"
✹ Along with his standard school supplies, Jurou's mother also brought him to select new pairs of shoes, and more outfits for his wardrobe. He didn't hold back at all, and in total, he'd selected 9 pairs of shoes and 37 outfits. His mother didn't even bat an eye. She pulled out one of her husband's cards at the register, swiped it, and then the duo set out for home.
✹ On his first day of kindergarten, it was Jurou's father who drove him to school. Generally, his mother was the one to take care of these tasks, while Jurou's father was either at work, or claiming that he was dealing with work affairs from him. In any case, he escorted him to his classroom when they reached their destination. The school Jurou would be attending was a private school, one of the best in China. Of course, the expenses were no concern. In total, there were approximately 150 students occupying the school each day. Before sending him off to the classroom, Jurou's father pulled him aside to get a quick word in. "Now listen up well son. I don't want you letting any of these other kids think that they're better than you. Alright? Make sure you take pride in who you are." And with that, he was on his way.
✹ When all students were accounted for in the class, the teacher closed the door, and introduced himself. He then allowed each student to stand before the class and introduce themselves as well. He knew that most children their age were already shy, and wanted to help them open up, while practicing their social skills. Once the last student had introduced themselves, the teacher allowed each student to choose their seat, but informed them to choose wisely, for that would be where they sat for the duration of the school year. Then, class was finally in session.
✹ Naturally, the first thing being taught was reading and writing. The teacher introduced some essential Chinese characters to the students with a song, to help them memorize the characters. He broke the song down into a few parts, sang all of them together, then asked the students to sing it with him. Jurou, who found no interest in the song, paid more attention to his pencils. Two of them in each of his hands clashed together, mimicking a fight from his favorite TV show. Each time there was a pause in the song, the sound of pencils clacking together replaced the silence. Finally, the teacher noticed. "Hold on class.. Just a moment. So.. Jurou, have you already mastered the song and the characters? Would you like to come up here and help me out? Please try harder to pay attention. This is important." A handful of kids started to giggle, until the teacher silenced them. Jurou's face was flushed red with humility.
✹ At the end of class, both of Jurou's parents were waiting for him just outside the doorway. "So? How was it? What'd you learn?" His mother prompted him. Straight away he complained about the incident, how the other students laughed at him, and how he was embarrassed. His father turned his head to his wife sighed.
✹ On Jurou's second day of school, there was a new teacher in the classroom. According to the new teacher, the first one had quit.
✹ VIII ✹
✹ For Jurou's eighth birthday party, he wanted to have it at a park. His father paid for things to be set up such as a water slide and a bouncy house. Jurou invited a number of kids from his class who he found to be "cool". A parent or two from the kids who were invited showed up just to keep an eye on their child. Most of them hung around, chatting, and enjoying food cooked by the chefs that'd been hired for the event. The remaining few, who were familiar with Jurou's father's business were anxious to meet him.
✹ Some of the kids, including Jurou himself, had decided to play a few basketball games after having their fill of the other attractions. Two "captains" were elected to choose teams. Jurou automatically elected himself as a captain, and told the others to choose a number 1-15 to figure out who the second captain would be. One child who chose the number 8 was made the second captain. Each captain chose which players they wanted on their team, and whoever was left had to sit out until the next game. Jurou also made the rule that his team would start with possession of the ball every game.
✹ The first game began with Jurou shooting the ball from the half court line, thinking he'd be cool if he made it. Way of its mark, the ball flew past the backboard and rolled away in the grass. Jurou groaned. "I'll get it." Hastily he jogged towards it. The ball had stopped where it ran into the leg of one of the park's benches. He reached for it. "Boy.. What's your name?" A bald, elderly man with his eyes shut addressed Jurou. "That's none of your business!" he replied in a disgusted manner. "I suppose you're right. From just a glance at you, and the sound of your voice, I believe that you will be able to do it. Though, it won't be for quite a while, and you will be vastly different. How interesting." "Whatever, you're just a crazy old geezer." He retrieved his basketball and jogged back to the court.

✹ Upon turning 12, Jurou was given "the birds and the bees" talk. As his father was speaking, and uncomfortably covering each topic, Jurou nodded to signify that he understood what was being said. However, he was already familiar with practically everything due to the inappropriate jokes that he and his peers made. He'd learned a little bit of everything after having jokes explained to him by different kids. Those kids had likely received the information used in those jokes from a source that their parents would not approve of.
✹ Additionally, Jurou's parents purchased him his very first cellphone. They figured that since his next school year would be his first year of high school, it'd be important for them to be able to easily communicate with them. Furthermore, he'd asked them himself for one due to seeing a few other kids at school with them. They showed theirs to him and when they asked if he also had one, he responded "Of course I've got a phone! But, I was in a rush to get ready this morning, so I forgot to put it in my pocket." He couldn't have any of his peers thinking ill of him.

✹ Jurou finally gained the privilege of driving when he was 16. He hadn't taken any classes, nor had he taken a test in order to earn his license. Once again, his father's money had been put to use. Identically, the first car he'd ever own came about the same way. For his 16th birthday, he was gifted a Lamborghini. When he received the keys, he was given instructions from his father to take good care of it. Before allowing him to drive it on his own, his father rode in the passenger seat on a test run, and showed him how to operate it.
✹ A few months later, Jurou claimed to have mastered driving his car. One Saturday night, he got in his car and headed for a party he'd been invited to. Since it was pretty late, the roads were mostly vacant, so of course Jurou was driving well over the speed limit. Eventually he'd pulled up behind someone who was driving at quite a moderate pace. Adhering to his nature, Jurou pressed against his horn for about a 10 second duration. When the vehicle in front of him still did not accelerate, he grit his teeth.
✹ Instead of abiding by the law, and respecting the other driver, Jurou took a more sensible route. On a curved road where it was forbidden, he crossed into the opposite lane and picked up speed, intended to pass the vehicle in front of him. To Jurou's surprise, another car actually came around the curve in the lane he was in. Hurriedly, he attempted to get back into the correct lane. It was too late. In his haste, Jurou clipped the backside of the car which had been in front of him, causing it to spiral out of control. Just as he clipped that car, the oncoming car hammered into the backside of his Lamborghini. Both he, and the driver that he caused to lose control were alright. They may have ended up with a few bruises, but since they only lost control, they were mostly fine. On the other hand, the driver who had collided with Jurou died on impact. Part of the driver's side of their car was crushed, and upon the collision their head hit the steering wheel. The airbag failed.
✹ The family of the killed driver took Jurou to court. Can you guess what the ruling was? It was the fault of the company who had made the faulty airbag. The judge had been bribed.
✹ XVIII ✹
✹ At 18 years of age, when he was officially an adult, Jurou graduated from high school. On the day of graduation, he was ecstatic and overjoyed. However, he had no right to feel that way. For the entirety of years in high school, he did absolutely nothing but slack off. He didn't earn a single grade in any one of his classes. All of his teachers were paid off. In fact, his literature and math skills were on par with that of a 13 year old. His knowledge in most other fields were even worse. Yet he still walked the stage proud.
✹ After the ceremony, Jurou and a group of "friends" went out for a little fun. The group didn't value him as a friend at all in reality. They merely hung around him because they knew his money had benefits. In this case, they were correct. Their chosen destination of celebration was a bar. In China the at which it is legal to drink alcohol is only 18. Two out of the group that Jurou was accompanied by were only 17, but they were still able to get in, because of course, money.
✹ In the bar, the teens all had far too many drinks for their capacities. They became obnoxiously intoxicated. One of them vomited, and the others laughed while remarking how gross it was. When Jurou pointed out how much time had passed, they figured it was time to leave. They stepped outside and began making their way towards Jurou car, a new one which had replaced the one from the collision. The teens who were less drunken did their best to support those who were stumbling. Jurou couldn't hold up. He tripped and fell onto someone else who was traversing the parking lot.
✹ "H- hey.. the hell? What're you doin runnin into meeeee? You wanna.. go at it.. or something?" One of the girls giggled at the manner in which Jurou was speaking and said "Come on, calm down Jurou it was your fault." "You should listen to your girlfriend kid. That's your only warning." The man who Jurou had run into flatly remarked. "No.. I don thing I will.. I thing I should teach you a lesson.." Jurou mumbled. Suddenly, he swung at the man, and landed a solid blow on his nose. The man staggered backwards and grabbed his now bleeding nose. "I told you I'd warn you once." He said in a nasally voice. From the inside of his coat, he drew a pistol and fired. The bullet pierced a few inches to the right of his heart. Almost as if that had lifted their intoxication, the others fled without delay. Jurou dropped to the ground, and fainted. The man quickly lifted Jurou, hoping that no blood would begin to pool on the asphalt.

✹ Jurou woke up in an alleyway. Ugh.. Damn I feel terrible. I guess this is what a get for drinking so much last night. And where have I even woken up at? An alley? Wow, I should've taken it much easier. Whatever, I'll just head home and find some sort of remedy. Hopefully, I still have my keys on me. Wait what the hell?! What is this?! As Jurou looked down, he saw a large chain protruding from his chest. How is this even possible?! Did I unknowingly have surgery and get a CHAIN implanted into my chest?! Otherwise I can't possibly fathom any other explanation! This is absurd! There no pain, but it's really heavy. I've got to get some help. He reached into his pocket for his phone, but it was of no avail. Great. I've lost my phone. I'll have to ask the nearest establishment to use their phone.
✹ He started towards the opening of the alleyway, but when tried to pass through, he was stopped, and felt a tug on the chain in his chest. What? What is this chain even tied to?! The air?! He tried to pull the chain free of its invisible captor, and in turn felt an excruciatingly sharp pain in his chest. OW! Is pain like that even possible in a dream? A few centimetres visibly dissolved from the end of the chain. This isn't good. What can I even do in a situation like this? My only other option is to check.. His gaze fell on the dumpster at the end of the alleyway which he started from. He made his way over to it, hoisted the top open, and peered inside. Ugh, this is repugnant.. Wait.. This can't be.. Is that?.. Inside, he saw himself. Or rather, his body, with a large, irregularly shaped blood stain on the shirt he was wearing. It's either a dream or I'm dead.. Those are the only two things that make sense! Actually, I do remember some of what happened last night now.. Am I really fucking dead?! If so then what exactly is this chain? Am I bound to this location on Earth? I'm going to lose it.. I'm going to lose, it I'm going to lose it, I'm going to lose it!
✹ Frantically, he paced back and forth, careful not to reach the invisible "border" while doing so. Is this the afterlife? I'm just going to remain in this alleyway for the rest of eternity, unable to do anything but interact with myself, and a dumpster? This is ridiculous. I have to do something. One more time I'll try to go get help. Just as before, when he attempted to step out from the alleyway, he felt the same resistance on the chain, and harrowing pain. More of the end of the chain dissipated. I can't do anything at all! I'm utterly helpless.. He sat down and closed his eyes.
...
✹ All he could do, day by day was think, and observe. Even what he could observe was limited to what was visible from the edge of the alleyway, and above the alleyway. With not much else to do, he started to reflect on his life. What type of life did he lead? What would he undo or redo if he could? At long last, he realized.. He was a joke. It took him over 18 years to get it. The way he had lived was atrocious. With everything handed to him, he never learned to work hard. With no real consequences for his actions, he never learned to tread carefully, or even grow as a person. Those around him suffered for his sake. How pathetic. He was filled with suffocating despair, and limitless regret. What kind of fool was he to just now reach this understanding?
✹ A few days after his death, his body was found when the dumpster was emptied. He was curious what people would think, but other than that, he didn't care. It didn't matter. Finding his body wouldn't resurrect him, much less allow him to repent for his entire life.
✹ Roughly 8 months passed, and there was not much left for him to think about. All he did now was watch. He watched the clouds and the sun that passed overhead each day. He watched the people who passed by the alleyway each day. From time to time, another body would be dumped in the alley. Or, events arguably even worse would take place. But most of all, he watched the chain. For each day he was there, it grew an infinitesimal amount smaller. But he watched. He wondered what would happen when there was nothing remaining of it. He hoped there was an afterlife. One that would punish him. Or, if he was reborn, that he'd be able to lead a better life. Apart from anything else, his biggest desire was to be erased completely.
