The rain washed away the blood that night. Streets as empty as the hole in his heart. Hundreds of humans stood stalk still in fear, but didn't know why. They saw their loved ones float and disappear into thin air. All of those who tried to leave didn't make it far. Only one little girl clinging to her mother could see; the masked giant who's cloak stretched a million miles. He had long strands of black mass flowing out of its mask like locks of hair. He pulled a sword from his gut, almost out of nowhere. He stood unconcerned and gave her a quick glance, crowded by five other giants. The stage was set as they surrounded him. Each beast circling around him slowly, ready to pounce. His mask unmoved, he called upon his angel once more. It's black wings opened, red eyes shining, and the night sky grew even darker as it watched from afar, eyeing all of the humans trapped inside the ring of bodies around them. He closed his eyes as a result, appearing unprotected. His mother had never left his side, not even once during life nor death. The biggest Hollow of them all stood tall and bellowed, shaking the trees around it. It pounced; the fight had begun. It attempted to grab him so the others could start their meal, but it was met with a swift upwards lice, cutting the beasts mask off. The others swarmed him as the defeated one screeched in pain. He dashed and jumped over their impending embrace, causing them all to land on each other. He stood atop a building and uttered something unintelligible. The angel took its gaze off the humans in awe and its crimson eyes glowed, freezing all the Hollows in their tracks for just a moment. It was all he would need. His blade nearly carved them all in two, but it left them alive on the verge of a second death. The angel kissed him on the cheek and evaporated, awaiting its next call. He stood over them, silently judging them. Then he spoke,
Strange isn't it? How a being's intelligence can be so ambiguous. You lay at my feet, writhing in pain and begging for mercy. You believed I was just like you, a mindless behemoth unconsciously battling for humanoid table scraps. How foolish. Very foolish. So much so that now I have the opportunity to not only devour you, but the bait you so desperately wished to consume. Ugh. I despise your kind. The only reason I resemble you is because I met the same untimely end fate gave you. This ghastly body is beneath me. I cant even... Damnit! Clavis, you scourge! I can only pray you found your way into hell, where you belong. Forcing me into this ungodly body... No matter, my goal has been accomplished. Now the REAL feast begins...
The girl watched as he devoured the other ghouls one by one. It was gruesome, but she watched all the same. It took little time before he walked towards the people and ate them as well, leaving her alone in the rain. Though his hunger whispered in his ear, he paid her no mind. A black void opened, and through it he faded, almost as if the ordeal had been a dream.
Height/Weight: 6'0''/178 Lbs
Physical Description
Human- Heith had short black hair down to his neck. He was skinny, but fit, with broad shoulders and a toned physique. He prided himself on professionalism, especially when his father did same (which he won't admit) which prompted him to where suits and dress pants whenever possible. On his left eye he has claw- like marks, almost cat like. He kept it sleek but simple, favoring black and charcoal colors over all else. His skin was fair but a bit more tan than the others he grew up with in London.
Hollow- Though he nearly lost his mind when finally witnessing his ghastly body, he made due all things considered when realizing how well it suited him. He dons a white, skull like mask without a mouth and horns reaching back behind him. The same claw- like marks reside on his left eye. The eyes are a dim red and are only visible at night. A black cloak longer than a sunset shadow flowes off of him constantly. He has long black arms that hang outside of his cloak as well. Long strands of black mass seep from his mask resembling hair. His feet now house claws instead of nails which stretch about half a foot. He is about twelve feet tall and very mobile. He despises this form and vowes to change his appearance in any way possible. His hollow hole sits right where his heart used to.
Gillian- His Gillian form doesn't vary much from his regular Hollow from. His cloak extended greatly and dragged behind him for hundreds of yards. He is now about twenty feet tall and the strands of hair have grown considerably in number. His long arms now hide inside of his cloak. A black long black scarf-like anomaly has also covered the bottom half of his face and wraps all the way down to his shoulders. His eyes and the claw marks stay the same. His feet get bigger but otherwise remain unchanged and his horns follow the same pattern.
Adjuchas- His black scarf washes away, replaced by pitch black feathered wings expanding fifteen feet wide each. He shrinks down to about ten feet tall and his mask reveals a wide smile and small nose. His hair like strands get shorter but stay the same in number. The claw marks extend almost halfway down his face. His body remains mostly black but his chest and ribs are a pale white. His black cloak remains but shortens to fit his body. His arms still reside inside the cloak but they can be seen poking out of the bottom. The claws on his feet remain but increase in sharpness and get about three inches shorter. The dim red of his eyes now shines just a tad brighter. The horns, now only one, form in the middle of the forehead of the mask and stick out five inches.
Vasto Lorde- Now only six feet tall, his mask remains unchanged but his hair like strands dissipate to make room for real black hair traveling down the length of his back. The wings on his back shrivel up and become shadow like, their spread reducing to about 4 feet each. The claw marks now extend the length of the mask diagonally and are ingrained deep within the mask. Atop his knees and on the back of his heels sit two inch spikes sharper than knives. A black halo comprised of reiatsu floats above his head (aesthetic purposes only). His chest is still pale white but the ribs return to black and the horn turns upwards forty-five degrees. His red eyes now more human like, glow bright red at all times.
Dislikes and Likes:
Dislikes-
1. Ignorance/ Stupidity- Above all else, Heith cannot STAND idiots and people residing in the world of blissful ignorance. Even slight mistakes or blunders due to ignorance infuriate him. His death was also the cause of a careless mistake, at least according to him.
2. Tears- Heith believes sadness to be a useless emotion, hindering one's ability to find a solution or speed up the grieving process. Tears in particular disgust him simply because he thinks that they signify that the person has given up on braving their hardship which is a sign of weakness.
3. Death- To Heith, dying is an annoying yet infinitely looming thought in your subconscious only serving to dissuade someone from accomplishing their goals. And if death arrives early, it is an untimely end for the victim and a burden on the relatives involved.
4. Evil- More specifically evil for the sake of it. Pointless death and destruction is utterly meaningless in Heith's eyes. What purpose does random murder serve other than some irrelevant hedonistic satisfaction?
5. Geese- Ugh, don't even get him started on those excrement spreading mongrels. They smell too...
6. Cowardice- Fear can be useful, but people who are slaves to that fear don't even lead their own lives. They are mindlessly controlled by a singular emotion, quite like a Hollow.
7. Alcohol- It simply impairs your judgement. Not a good idea at all.
8. Ghouls- Vile creatures like demons and Hollows are an eyesore. Heith prides himself in his appearance and presentation. The fact he was burdened with his now fiendish appearance infuriates him, to say the least.
9. Chaos- The uncontrollable nature of life is difficult enough to manage. To add more randomness and disorder makes it hard to make a rational decision and causes people to abandon reason in favor of instinct, which leads to unpredictability and loss of control.
10. Losing- Cliché but true, Heith's pride does not allow him to take losing on the chin and move on. Losing is a sign that you were clumsy or ill-prepared coming into whatever challenge you found yourself in.
11. Squandered Potential- If you have the talent or gift for anything remotely significant, make something of it. Do not let you superiority fade as you doddle in meaningless tasks or goals. A blessing torn to shreds was a curse to begin with...
Likes:
1. Libraries- A vast swath of knowledge and stories to make your mind race. Its the place you go when you want your mind to be as sharp as your blade.
2. Death- Although it can be an eternal inconvenience, it can also be an important lesson in either not wasting time more making better decisions. It can also be used for manipulative ends...
3. Orchestras- The sound of the symphony is enough to put Heith in an imaginative trance. Listen to that music was when his mind was not only at ease, but at its sharpest.
4. Monarchies- A monarchy is the most pragmatic and efficient form of rule. The embodiment of order, one person handing down decisions with ultimate authority keeps an entire nation in line.
5. Winning- As any prideful person would attest to, besting someone or accomplishing a goal greatly boosts ones ego. Especially in competitions of intellect or strategy.
6. Headphones- Perfect for traveling with an orchestra accompanying you.
Habits:
1. Heith believes everyone's true intentions lie within their eyes. So much so that he has made it a habit to gaze into the eyes of whatever person or people he's dealing with. He will not shift this gaze unless he loses interest in you or finds your existence to be deplorable. This habit has persisted even in his Hollow forms.
2. When Heith gets stressed (which is rare, mind you), he will crack his fingers from pinky to thumb very slowly. This habit stemmed from when he was disciplined by his father. Though he listened hesitantly to him, he couldn't stop himself from fidgeting while his mind was racing, and thus, he would crack his fingers.
3. When angered, Heith will grind the right side of his teeth very slightly, almost as if he's holding back something he wants to say. His mother theorized it was his own way of holding his tongue.
Flaws:
1. Cold- As for many intellects, Heith can be very dismissive and cold towards people and hide his true emotions. There aren't many things or people that can hold his attention.
2. Obsessive- For the very few things and people that do capture his prolonged attention, he tends to hold on to those things tightly and never let them out of his grasp. Even he doesn't know why he does this, but if he enjoys your presence, you likely won't spend much time apart from him without some sort of contact.
3. Egotistical- He takes cocky to an extreme above an extreme. There hasn't been anyone Heith had deemed close to his level of intellect. In battle he will often chuckle at the slightest misstep of his opponent or even monologue as the gasp their last few breaths.
4. Reckless- Despite his careful planning, he will often take unneeded risks to see a plan come to fruition. If his Plan A doesn't seem to be panning out, he won't hesitate to put his life on the line to get things back on track.
Fears:
1. Losing- Above all, losing is Heith's number one fear. With how much he prides himself on his intellect, a loss in any venture he finds interesting enough to take part in delivers a massive hit to his ego and pride. This is especially true when it comes to battle. Heith expends a great deal of brain power learning his opponents habits and flaws, so if his plans go awry, let's just say he's a sore loser.
2. Ambushes- Cowards that are to terrified to face their opponent in battle and prefer hiding in the shadows of their inadequacies, waiting to pounce like a feline warrant zero respect from the likes of Heith. Though his opinion on the matter is a bit biased...
3. Ghosts- Amusing, isn't it? A now pseudo-undead entity fearful of his own ilk. Maybe it stems from the inherit unpredictability and ambiguity of the paranormal. Or maybe he has people he doesn't wish to confront that were cast into the afterlife...
4. Lost Identity- With now centuries of careful curation in regards to his emotions and personality, Heith's identity may be the most important thing to him. Being a Hollow could very well be the most terrifying thing of all...
Alignment: Neutral Evil
Overall personality:
Heith is a very calculating but stress-free character. He was gifted with naturally high intelligence which has led him to a road of extreme confidence. He finds solace no thing or man but himself. Being a hollow hasn't changed his disposition in the slightest, mainly because of the fact that he was used to managing many peoples lives and personalities at once; a few more voices in his ear now are nothing but an annoyance. The only noticeable change in his personality after becoming a hollow is the slightly elevated level of stress coming up with ways to consume more souls. Keeping his sanity and consciousness is of the upmost importance to him. Overall his biggest trait is his intelligence. It's the thing he prides himself on the most mostly because he nurtured it and refused to let it go to waste.
Despite all of this, his mother noted a softer, and possibly darker side to Heith. She noticed when some comparably competent to him would present themselves, he would spend a substantial amount of time and effort interacting with them; almost testing them. If they were deemed inadequate, they were cast aside, regardless of their feelings for Heith. However, for those very few that captured and held on to his attention, its like they were inseparable. It's like he would find a new light in his eyes and explore every corner of someone he found to be valuable. But it would never last long. Somehow Heith would end up by himself once again, wallowing in his own self-aggrandizement. Regardless of this fact, it remains that Heith is generally cold and cocky with the only thing worth his time being himself.
As his transformations continue, his personality will start to shift. The more powerful he becomes, the greater he perceives himself. Because of this, his pattern of thought completely changes over time; He switching from cold and calculating primarily focusing on devising singular plans, to large scale multi-stage strategies which he looks to brag about once successfully completed. He becomes less dismissive and more boastful, praising himself more than demoralizing his foes like before.
Overall, Heith will always remain a highly intelligent, arrogant individual only allotting respect to those who've earned it. At the current moment, the only person fitting the bill is himself, and he doesn't expect that fact to change. Because of this, his personality, aside from its inevitable change due to power, will remain the same. The chink in his mental armor has been sealed and there is little chance of it resurfacing. At least, that's what he hopes.
Fighting style:
Heith has good hand to hand combat skills and skill with blades that he acquired by training with military men who protected his father. He also dashes frequently, attempting to throw his opponents off with constant movement while he uses his abilities. Heith is also intelligent enough to not underestimate his opponents, so in the beginning of battles, excluding any extraneous circumstances, he will fight on the backfoot observing and learning their style. There are two parts that comprise Heith's fighting style:
1. Planning/Strategy- No matter what, no amount of power or speed will aid you in battle if you're fighting blindly without a care the world. Whether it be a long, thought up scheme or a quick tactic devised in an instant, no decision is made without some very careful planning. Using his intellect, Heith concocts strategies to outwit his opponents. The opponent relies on brute strength? Either mitigate their damage, make yourself elusive, or use their momentum against them. A speedy foe? Cut their legs off. No style is without their flaws, even Heith's; but he knows it. All in all, if you make your weaknesses known, it'll be the death of you.
2. Sight- Due to the nature of his death, Heith puts a priority on one major aspect of battle, sight. Knowing where the foe is at all times. No movement is missed; no subtle glance or muscle twitch is lost on him. He keeps a watchful eye on the entire battlefield through various means whether it be a bird's eye view, or even through the eyes of his opponent.
Techniques:
Night Blade (lame de nuit):
Class: Same as User
Cost: 10 Reiatsu+ 15 per class increase (25 for Class 7)
Night Blade is simply a black, katana sized blade made of reiatsu that Heith pulls fom his body. It cuts as any Shinigami blade would but obviously doesn't have the same properties that their blades have. It is essentially a blade for hollows. It increases in power as he does.
Drawbacks: None. It is simply a blade.
Angelic Summoning (convocation angélique):
Class: Same as User
Cost: 0 Reiatsu+ 50 per class increase
Angelic Summoning allows Heith to release Adelise, the angelic spirit that accompanies him. When he does this, Adelise, a shadowy, winged angel with crimson eyes (5'5'' tall) seemingly shimmers into reality and takes position somewhere where she can see the entire battlefield. Adelise will respond to the commands of Heith such as to attack an enemy, survey the area, block an attack, etc. She can also speak to him, warning him about threats or giving advice. The cost is 0 at least for class 8 simply because Adelise is an entity that is always following Heith, so she is not being created or anything. However, the stronger Heith gets, the stronger the bond between them becomes and the stronger she becomes which warrants the cost. She lasts as long as he has reiatsu or until he calls her back. Sustaining too much damage, like tanking a Cero, will cause her to return as well.
Drawbacks: The longer Adelise is apart from Heith, the more he loses focus. His vision will begin to get hazy, thought comprehension slower, and overall reaction speed and perception dulled after 5 posts +2 per class increase.
Envisioned Switch (commutateur envisage):
Class:8
Cost:10
Envisioned Switch allows Heith to give up his sight for Adelise's temporarily. Adelise and Heith will share POV for as long as he wishes, giving him a complete picture of the battlefield, including him and his opponent. He can still direct her gaze and she can still move and use her other abilities. Heith can still move his body, but it will be in relation to the view he sees in Adelise's eyes, which he has practiced.
Drawbacks: Though he can continuously flip between POV's, that is obviously jarring and taxing on his stamina. Also, although he has practiced moving in this state, he hasn't mastered it and is susceptible to fumbles and trips and things of that nature. As his class increases, so will his proficiency in using the move. And unless Adelise is looking from behind Heith's body, if she's looking at the whole battlefield, Heith can't see the front of his opponent.
Angelic Petrification (pétrification angélique):
Class: 6
Cost: 65 Reiatsu+ 25 per class increase
When Angelic Pertification is cast, Adelise's eyes will glow brightly and cast a red light onto the opponent as a loud, low humming sound is made. If the opponent is caught in the light, they will be frozen in place for 1 post. However, there are requirements
Requirements: If the opponents general Offensive stat is-
Substantially Lower than Heith's (more than 10 points lower)- The attack will freeze them if caught in it for the full 1 post
Comparable to Heith's (within 10 points high or low)- Attack will apply a slowing effect for 1 post.
Substantially Higher than Heith's (more than 10 points higher) - Attack can slow but opponent can pay 50 Reiatsu to escape.
Drawbacks: If for any reason Heith gets caught in the light, he WILL be stunned for the full 1 post duration. Adelise is also stuck in position when she starts the attack, so its like a prediction game; she can't aim while charging up.
Spatial Decimator (décimateur spatial):
Class:5
Cost: 100 reiatsu per step/blast (requires both bala and ulcera to be mastered)
Spatial Decimator uses a combination of ulcera and bala to step in and out of the hollow realm at 5x the users speed and shoot the opponent with bala in multiple directions at a high speed. He can stop using one or the other at any point and switch to either or, as he pleases. This technique is great for overwhelming opponents with high speed, multi-directional attacks.
Drawbacks: This ability requires a lot of stamina and can be used sparingly. Until class 3, he also cannot use this ability alongside Envisioned Switch.
Abyssal Gaze (Regard abyssal):
Class: 4
Cost: 150 reiatsu
Abyssal Gaze is a short range (4ft long, 8 ft wide) highly concentrated blast of reiatsu with the ability to melt defenses or incinerate a target completely. If the blast hits, the target will have lingering black flames that travel from the burn site to the rest of their body. The blast can only be seen as it is discharged, not while charging (unless your energy sensory is 100+). Once the entire body has been set ablaze, the flames will die out after 2 posts. If the blast hits you from 1ft or closer (basically point blank range), the directly burned site will be atomized (unless the opponent is a class or more stronger). The blast is formed from the right eye of his Adjuchas form. Heith often uses Ulcera to get close enough to use this, and can mix opponents up with either this ability or Spatial Decimator.
Drawbacks: The blast needs considerable time to charge and can be sensed charging from afar with energy sensory of 100+. This technique can be predictable as Heith would realistically need to use Ulcera to get close enough to use this.
Birthplace- London, England
Current Residence- Hueco Mundo
Memorable Figures- Adelise Ambroise, Bellus Müller, Clavis Helm
History:
Heith was born a very fortunate young man. In 1617, Heith came into this world the son of a wealthy French bride named Adelise Ambroise and a powerful advisor to the King named Bellus Müller. Adelise had met Bellus during a meeting between Bellus, the ambassador of King James I and Louis XIII. While returning from the diplomatic trip, Bellus met Adelise during his last days touring the country. Adelise's mild mannered and polite nature endeared him and complimented his cold and straightforward nature, so he extended his departure to spend more time with her. He learned she was the daughter of a rich architect that built structures for catholic churches. He usurped her father's blessings and decided to take her back to Great Britain with him. She was a bit more cunning than he first realized, and she happily joined him.
Heith's childhood was irregular to say the least. Bellus refused to allow his son to stay at home and assume the childhood privileged children often would; Bellus had Heith accompany him to every meeting, job, or important gathering. Heith even got to meet James I for the first time when he was seven. Adelise had little time to do traditionally motherly duties like housekeeping and nurturing Heith, but luckily she wasn't that type of woman. Heith often switched between traveling with Adelise and his father and various business trips. Adelise would travel to different churches advising architects on how to build various religious monuments, giving Heith his first exposure to religion.
Adelise was the more fun of the two, in Heith's opinion. Although it was intriguing to learn the intricacies of politics and social etiquette, which his father more than mastered, most of the bonding through activities and loving interactions came from his mother. During her trips to various cathedrals and churches, they would stop by many symphonies that Heith ended up adoring. Though he didn't need much monitoring, his mother stood by his side and kept him company when there was none to be had. She noticed his quiet nature and made sure he didn't feel ostracized for it.
Heith was taught at home by his father in the ways of basic etiquette and discipline. Heith at an early knew how to carry himself and dress immaculately. He was quiet and observant, making sure to note his father's advice and put them into practice when dealing with all the important people his father met with. With the few kids he did meet- usually the children of nobles- Heith never got along well with them, despising their obnoxiousness and spoiled nature. One notable incident was when a child of a Scottish noble mysteriously ended up with a broken finger after spending a bit of time with Heith while their fathers were discussing business. According to Heith, "We came here for business, not playfighting. He touched me one too many times, so I broke his finger..."
Heith's natural intelligence was evident early on in his life. Whether he was with his mother or father, he exhibited a higher level of comprehension with any concept that was presented to him. He adopted his mother's calm demeaner and his father's social charm and manipulation. This gave him the level-headedness needed to analyze the person he was speaking to and find the best way to interact with them. He never was one to cause outbursts or have to worry about when left alone. Nobles from Scotland to France were impressed by his attitude and willingness to listen and learn- a stark contrast from their own children. Over time, he finally put that intellect to good use outside of reading books and impressing elites.
When Heith became a teenager, Heith grew into his personality very nicely. As his knowledge grew, as did his ego and desire to lead. His father's manipulative nature had made its way into Heith's psyche, and Heith was ready to use it.
My life before my 16th birthday was about as uneventful as any life could be. Though it was captivating to see my father at work playing the fools in the king's palace like a fiddle, I had a sneaking suspicion that my intelligence was being misused trying to convince my dim-witted peers that there was more to life than toys and tag. My mom's misadventures were interesting as well, but listening to sleuths of religious figures babble on about the all-powerful Father- in- law they never met was also not something I wanted to commit myself to. My mind was left thirsty, waiting for something so tantalizingly complex that my mind couldn't help but focus on; and then it happened.
My birthday. Though I preferred to be alone on my birthdays, my father saw my 16th as some sort of coming-of-age party and invited a gaggle of people. There were priests, nobles, composers, the list goes on. There was a ox, duck, cherries; I even had my first sip of wine. Although the feast was immaculate and the crowd humongous, there were two things the caused me to ignore all of that. My realization that my father's intellect and influence was being wasted advising a failing monarch was the first. This was almost forgotten by...by...
Long, beautifully curly crimson hair passed me by, followed by a emerald gaze so enchanting I could hardly discern reality from illusion. Her lips as plump as any fruit you could find at the party, her pout almost sent me to the moon... I called out without noticing,
"Excuse me, but I'm not sure I recognize you." She stopped and seemingly twirled, our eyes locking on each others instant.
"No, I'm not sure we've met. I was searching for the birthday boy so I could give my congratulations and leave...I assume I've found him."
I smirked, "What makes you come to that conclusion?"
"I was told the person in question was someone worth a modicum of worth and respect."
"Why would that-"
"Because you're the only man with enough backbone to approach me today... and you're the only man dressed well enough to catch my eye, including what I understand now to be your father." I was in a trance. Who was this woman? I- I paused. I wasn't going to make the classic blunder. I had to test her. Beautiful women were commonplace in my life, perhaps she was no different from the ignorant gorgons I had already encountered. I steadied myself;
"Oddly enough, I didn't hear your name in that response."
"Unfortunately for you, I don't find much merit in second hand information. I'm not sure if you're worthy enough to know my name..."
My apologies, getting sidetracked isn't a habit of mine. Needless to say, she passed with flying colors. Her name was Maria Almeras, daughter of the riches merchant in France. Our chemistry was palpable from the very beginning, her banter was quick and sharp, complementing my high-brow, dismissive demeanor. According to her, my father had gotten her father here in exchange for the food that had made him a fortune. I suppose I have to thank him for his many connections; not meeting her would've been a massive regret in hindsight...

"Why would that-"
"Because you're the only man with enough backbone to approach me today... and you're the only man dressed well enough to catch my eye, including what I understand now to be your father." I was in a trance. Who was this woman? I- I paused. I wasn't going to make the classic blunder. I had to test her. Beautiful women were commonplace in my life, perhaps she was no different from the ignorant gorgons I had already encountered. I steadied myself;
