Adrenaline pumped through Luca's veins as he saw his attack was a success. He filled the air with his laughter, only stopping when the creature's writhing pulled him off his feet as the shovel remained stuck in it. In one motion, Luca and his shovel were shaken off. If he had landed on his feet, he wasn't able to maintain the position for long as his feet slipped from under him. Not a pleasant experience, but Luca was fairly certain nothing was broken, at least. As he slowly got to his knees, he caught glimpse of what looked like another attack from the hollow. Luca barely had time to rise to his feet, and run back beside Amare. Just as Luca had feared he hadn't run far enough, he saw Amare had a plan in mind.
A tinge of embarrassment crept its way into Luca's heart as Amare spoke. The head...right. Damn it, why didn't I think of that? Yet his embarrassment subsided when he saw what could only be Amare's ultimate attack. Luca couldn't deny it was beautiful. If the hollow's bala had torn through fabric, this attack seemed capable of slicing through muscle and bone with ease. For a moment, Luca thought the hollow was finally dead, but its pained grunting gave away that it still lived. If Luca had been a jealous man, now would be the time to envy his newfound comrade. Yet to envy someone, you had to admit there was something they had that you didn't, something you couldn't obtain. One day I'll be as strong. When that day comes, all the monsters in the world will tremble.
When Amare beckoned Luca to finish the job, Luca realized he may have to compliment Amare. Luca was many things, but ungrateful wasn't one of them. "Hey...I guess I owe you for all this.". Good at articulating his feelings wasn't one, either. Though Amare wasn't the only one who could come up with a plan. As Luca ran at the hollow for what could be the last time, he knew this was no ordinary charge. He stopped when he reached the helpless monster. Aim for the head. Luca had every intention of doing just that. Yet he knew his shovel was far from the best weapon in the world. Outclassed in deadliness by virtually every polearm he could think of, he knew he would have to play this smart if he wanted to make sure the hollow never got up. He aimed his final jab for the gash in the hollow's mask from one of Amare's prior attacks. If he could bypass, at least in part, the resistance the mask may have put up, he'd be far more likely to score a kill shot.
