((This is a Joint Training Thread for Irina, Kazura, and Amare to get to know each other better and develop their skills.))
Irina ran up a dozen flights of stairs as quickly as she could. It was really all her fault, and if someone got hurt because of her actions, she would feel truly terrible. She was fairly sure the thing she needed to save the innocent person was in the top drawer of Kazura's desk, so she was headed toward his office. She had texted him about twelve times between the crisis and up the stairs, but figured he must be busy because there was no reply. Well, everything would probably be fine. She would just have to figure it out herself.
Her workout clothes matched her sweaty body and breathlessness, but nonetheless, Irina got a strange look from the couple of people she passed on the stairs. Sure, it was causal Friday, but this was a whole different kind of casual. At least people tended to take the elevator, not the stairs, so she encountered fewer people than she might have expected. On arrival at Kazura's door, Irina gave it a few good pounds to knock before determining that its owner was not present. She had "picked" the lock before using Soul Command, but remembered Kazura casually mentioning to her that he needed to better security and would have to do something about that. Still, she figured she would give it a try again. The drum of the lock made a clicking sound as soon as she attempted it, and flooded the lock with reiatsu, making it impossible for her to unlock it by this method. Well, she figured, she would have to get creative.
Measuring her options, Irina decided that if Kazura's office was so relatively unsecured prior to her last break in, perhaps the wall next to the door was still ordinary drywall. She would try giving it a good punch and reach over to unlock the door by hand. If she couldn't unlock the door then, she would just widen her hole to her own size and climb through.
"I mean," she reasoned quietly to herself, "Desperate times." She would definitely offer to fix the wall later. She was good with spackling paste. It would not be the first time she had broken a wall, and her mama had always expected her to fix the things she broke when she was a kid.
Unbeknownst to Irina, Amare had arranged to meet Kazura at his office at that time, and if he arrived at the time scheduled, he would come upon Irina before Kazura did. Irina would try to play it cool, casually greeting him with "Hi, how are you doing?", whilst continuing her work, if he chose to say anything to her. She felt that fewer words were more in this sort of situation. Thinking of that, she supposed, she really ought to get into this sort of situation much less frequently. Well, tomorrow would be a new day to try again.
When Kazura arrived, she would greet him all in one breath: “Hey, I was training downstairs, and I heard a noise, and long story short, I accidentally locked a very nice HVAC technician named Henry in that experimental Hollow trap we were building, so I was just looking for the key.” At that point she would take a deep breath and look up from what she was doing and assess whether he looked angry before adding "How is your week going?" His phone would contain text messages from Irina including "Hey, I have a small problem." "No, it's a big problem." "Are you in the UE building today?" "I could use some help." "Like, really, someone is in danger." "Are you around??" "Seriously, it's an emergency." "!!" "??"
Remaining Reiatsu: 2.200/2,250 (-50 Soul Command attempt)
