Kisala growled loudly as she knocked a small stack of papers on the floor of her office. Kisala had been out of the hospital for a while after her run in with the hollow that invaded the Seireitei. A large amount of her muscle mass was eaten from the inside due to a stupid mistake on her part. For some reason it did not just eat her flesh like any other hollow would. It somehow got into her skin, controlled her muscles making her helpless. It was so bad that she actually broke down and begged to be spared. Maybe that was the reason that she was only partially eaten that day. Most in that situation were not as fortunate as herself. She knew that.
But that was only the first thing to break Kisala. The second was her own Captain, Harle. She had challenged a noble house for control over it, attempted to attack them by herself. Kisala of course wanted to fight with her captain. Kisala looked up to Captain Harle, and would have done anything asked of her, but her captain asked her to stay, and let her fight alone. Kisala had wished that she had disobeyed that order. Her captain had failed in her bid for control and was set to be executed, but she escaped. Kisala could not show it outwardly in public, but she was glad. She was happy that she didn't permanently lose someone she looked up to like she did.
The physical and emotional blows that the young Shihoin had taken were too much for even hardened shinigami to bear. She was almost done with this life. No longer did she perform her duties with enthusiasm and attention to detail. She went through the motions not really caring about what she was doing. She would expect the most out of her subordinates, and push, and encourage them to push past their limitations and get stronger. Now she barely speaks to anyone in the squad, let alone the rest of the Seireitei. She would show respect to her superiors of course, and did her job as Vice Captain, for the most part, but anyone could tell she didn't put her all into it.
The young Shihoin stormed out of the Squad Two barracks and into the larger Seireitei proper. She needed some time away from the paper work. On her way out, she picked up her zanpakuto. Who knew if another hollow invasion would occur? She walked with her eyes focusing on the ground just before her feet. She easily managed to avoid other shinigami that were working in the area barely noticing their greetings. Her off white hair was starting to get longer and less managed. her orange eyes lacked the determined shine that she had for any task. Her confident strides were traded for a weak shuffle barely picking up her feet at all. Right now she just wanted to be alone.
