-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-Appearance-
Height/Weight: 5'7"/126 lb
Physical Description: Kazuna Hashiro stands at around 5 feet and 7 inches. He is a fairly thin build, but not bordering underweight. Kazuna has typical black hair and grey eyes, often deciding to not change hair color to anything extravagant. He does not appear as the hyper-masculine type, but one can easily identify him as male by his demeanor and upon closer inspection. His skin tone takes a dark peach color. He does not groom his hair past the bare minimum and has a hollow hole in the side of his chest; on the right side towards the shoulder. Kazuna tends to carry his Zanpakutou on his back, deciding that it doesn't really need a sheath.
Kazuna's black hair flows very subtly although he pays no heed to physical appearance. His eyes are a piercing grey that seems rather lifeless and uninterested in anyone they view. Kazuna's lips are a very faded reddish pink. This comes with his general lack of care. His eyes and mouth are proportional to the size of his head which isn't perfectly round, but instead like an oval. He has no facial hair to speak off as it stopped growing after he had died. His hair covers the right eye creating an undercut. On his back is the imprint of a large nine. The top part of the imprint can only be seen when standing behind him.
Kazuna wears clothing typical of Arrancar. This includes white pants that are somewhat baggy as well as a white shirt that extends up to his clavicle, leaving space for a collar. On his robes are imprints of tiny skulls. While wearing his full robes, Kazuna's hollow hole isn't too visible unless observed closely from his left side. The sleeved top goes down to his lower arm and rests there. He generally does not wear shoes.
The remnants of Kazuna's hollow mask are on his chin and the sides of his cheek. The first remnant forms something reminiscent of a chin guard. Meanwhile, the remnants on his cheek seem like white sideburns against his skin. The bottom of the mask does connect to the bottom of the mask on his cheeks to form a shape similar to a U. The mask is imprinted with red lines and black diamonds that adorn the mask in some form of perfect symmetry. Recent battles have chipped it slightly which irritated Kazuna beyond belief. He always places his hand on the remnants to determine if it has been further shattered.
Upon release of his resurreccion, Kazuna takes a few drastic changes. First and foremost are the robes he wears. His robe's become tattered as if on a corpse. Along with this, his hairstyle becomes more erratic as well as his entire skin tone. It begins to take a greyish look and rotten very similar to a decaying corpse. This is further reinforced by the eyes of Kazuna. His eyes which were already lifeless become a pitch black color and his lips look blue as if he had suffocated. With his resurreccion Kazuna begins to look more and more like a withering corpse. His chest becomes smaller and he weighs in at around 100 lb due to the lack of any potential fat or muscle. This is what allows for his extreme speed in combat while using his resurreccion. He takes the liking of an extremely undernourished corpse. The now tattered robes gain slits to stick his kama's in for easy reach. Meanwhile, his elbows become smaller along and he always seems to be in a relaxed state. He begins to hunch over post resurreccion and always has a seemingly vicious and sadistic glare of malice.
While in resurreccion, what was once a U shaped remnant of a mask becomes a completely different mask. It now looks a lot like a plague doctors mask during the Plague. It has the beak as well as the entire design of traditional plague doctors mask. The only visible portion of his face when his mask changes are his smile as well his eyes which have no glow as the eye cavities become visible like staring into the blank void. The mask itself also covers part of his neck for extra protection but never extends to the back of his neck nor to the back of his head.
Kurakusabyou receives a nifty little upgrade. With the resurreccion, the set of dual kamas get reinforced hilts along with a more durable, sharper blade as it's gleam can be seen. Furthermore, Kurakusabyou releases a dark hazy aura whenever using its abilities. This gives the Zanpakutou an aura of intimidation. Kurakusabyou in its sealed state attaches to the back of his robes at a horizontal angle.

-Personality-
Dislikes: Green - Kazuna hates the color green due to its attribution things such as nature or life.
Optimism - The sound of those that spew constant happy chants or reason as to why life is wonderful disgusts Kazuna to an extreme.
Noise - Kazuna is rather sensitive to noise and as such hates high pitched sounds or talking in general.
Nihilism - Kazuna will go on and on about his view on life. This constant need to talk about nihilism as well as it being his aspect has caused him to despise it.
Life - Kazuna really dislikes aspects of life due to his nihilistic demeanor. While he won't go out of his way to kill unless, in post resurreccion, he won't acknowledge the living properly.
Soul Reapers - A few Soul Reapers have attacked him in the past and as such he has a pretty annoyed attitude towards them. This normally comes with a verbal argument that he will have, but he will kill in self-defense.
Souls - Due to his view on life, Kazuna acts relatively negatively towards souls that have not turned into hollows or ones that are sent to the Soul Society.
Messes - Kazuna hates to see a messy area. If given time, he will naturally clean up everything out of annoyance.
Religion - He hates any religion with the concept of an afterlife. He will view it with disdain.
Likes: Death - Kazuna revels in death and will applaud whenever it occurs.
Silence - Kazuna is a large fan of silence and prefers it over any verbal conversation.
Poetry - Kazuna mostly enjoys the dark macabre styled poetry such as Edgar Allan Poe.
Scythes - He has a deep found love of scythes due to adoration for biblical figures such as the Grim Reaper as well as his Zanpakutou.
Decay - He enjoys watching decay wither away at objects. This includes his own combat abilities and he can be mesmerized by them.
Quincy - Kazuna looks up the Quincy due to their thinking of erasing hollows rather than purifying them. He will give Quincy's the same respect as he would a fellow Espada.
Friendships - Kazuna has a slight lean towards friendships more as a person to talk to. He doesn't go out and search for new people to befriend, but he will begrudgingly accept new ones.
Pestilence - There is something about diseases that deeply interests Kazuna. It is one of the foundations of his abilities and interests. Because of this, he will not help others with illnesses considering their erasure an error.
Flaws: Mesmerization of decay: Due to his fondness and interest of decay, Kazuna will sometimes stand still and watch as Volatile Decay afflicts his target. This can leave him open to an attack. He has been trying to work on this, but for some reason can't help, but watch at times.
Zoning out - Kazuuna has always had a problem with zoning out and it, along with his habit of splitting tends to get him into a lot of trouble. To him, this is a normal part of his life as he ponders on many subjects. Naturally, his most notable subject to become lost in is poetry.
Psychopathy - Decades of thinking about his family's deaths without proper counseling or closure has made Kazuna a ticking time bomb. While in resurreccion, these feelings emerge and Kazuna becomes highly unstable, choosing to kill all that gets in his way. This mainly becomes an issue when fighting with allies as he will even attack allies and in the worst of cases kill them.
Nihilistic Conflict - Kazuna has established his nihilistic attitude in many ways. He does suffer a mental conflict since he does want to protect those he cares about. This mental conflict leaves him indecisive at times which resulted in the death of some of his friends.
Bloodthirst - After releasing resurreccion and becoming more psychopathic, subtelty is the last thing on his mind. He becomes highly irrational, desiring to snuff out all life that he can find. This in turn makes him less like a calm and strategic individual and more as a berserker who will stop at nothing to decimate his opponent. This can potentially jeopardize his life.
Habits: Debating: Kazuna has an unhealthy habit of debating almost to the point of borderline obsession. This is one the only things that will cause him to sit down and have a true conversation with someone. He simply does not try to win the debates he makes, but instead, find equal footing within a discussion.
Splitting - Kazuna, due to his disdain for large groups, has a nasty habit of wandering off that can get him into trouble. He has walked away from many before only to run into a patrolling Soul Reaper. This has caused some friction with him and Soul Society along with fellow Arrancar.
Clingy - Kazuna can be somewhat clingy. This has started after the death of his elder sister. This did hit him pretty hard and as such he will follow the people he feels attached to. Some people have teased him before, likening him to a lost puppy.
Frantic Writing - Due to his enjoyment of poetry, Kazuna will sometimes write thoughts or ideas down frantically for his own personal poems. While this writing does not look schizophrenic by any stretch, the words themselves are all over the place. Sometimes even he has difficulties making out what he wrote.
Fears: Medication/Hospitals - Kazuna has an extremely irrational fear of hospitals due to his frequent thoughts on life being meaningless. A place of healing for what are supposed to be lost lives brings a cold shiver down his spine. He can't stand the sight or mention of hospitals nor medication. He can, however, deal with the sight of officials such as nurses or doctors, although he will be paranoid about talking to them.
Zanpakutou - As Zanpakutou's are the weapon that can return him back to the Soul Society or to Hell, he fears them. It is mainly a fear of being returned to something as wretched as an afterlife. This ties back to his disdain and annoyance at any faith and its concept of "life" after death.
Death of Friends - The death of his family has left Kazuna mentally scarred. While he has very little friends and doesn't care much about the danger of death, he despises and ultimately fears the idea of the ones he cares for dying. This creates a lot of internal conflict within him due to his AoD being Nihilism.
Abandonment - Kazuna has a fear of being abandoned due to the death of his family. This ties into his fear of the death of friends. He will make subtle attempts to protect ones he feels attached to.
Goals: Eventual Destruction - As a being of Nihilism, Kazuna looks forward to his eventual destruction at the hands of an opponent that will permanently destroy him. He to an extent seeks the same for others, choosing to kill most in cold-blood to release them from the shackles of life. He enjoys debating as a medium to try and get people on his side in regards to nihilism. This is very important to his overall goals as a somewhat persuasive figure.
Improving Combat Abilities - Kazuna is a very determined individual contrary to popular belief since his aspect of death is nihilism. He, however, does seek to improve his ability to kill. He realizes that as an Espada, he will be sought out and he for all intents and purposes, is not willing to simply submit. Although he seeks eventual destruction, he does not want to make it easy by letting someone kill him.
Alignment: Pure Neutral
Aspect of Death: Nihilism
Overall Personality: Kazuna has a deeply indifferent and nihilistic attitude based on his aspect of death. Kazuna is disgusted by mundane concepts such as morality or other aspects to promote human life. He takes no care in his well-being on an appearance level, but he continues on every day because he has nothing better to than be killed. He cares little for things like the sun or happiness while at the same time, caring little for things like depression or pain. He cares for only one thing, the worlds eventual end and he awaits it patiently.
In essence and on a first glance, Kazuna is incredibly patient, although he can very well be impatient in certain aspects. Patience in combat and life are things that he has always taken heed of. He exemplifies them with general mastery, not moving from his position while waiting. Kazuna has a deep found admiration of extinction and death and as such, sometimes gets very impatient when given the chance to inflict either or.
He views relationships as a means to an end and at not time does he ever reciprocate a shred of emotion or feeling except when talking to people well known to him. Whenever someone expresses a desire to continue living, Kazuna regards it with weakness and downright hate. This is a particular reason as to why he hates and fears hospitals. A place that can heal those whose time has obviously come is disgusting to him. In this sense, Kazuna can be seen as a general calm breeze.
While in combat, Kazuna is rather indifferent to his surroundings. When fighting his only focus is releasing his opponents from the confines of flesh. Since he sees life as a weakness, he acts with extreme hostility against the living. He has no quarrel in killing, but also won't go out of his way to destroy all life he sees. In fact, he can be rather nice to those he actually cares about.
Kazuna remains to be somewhat clingy. He will follow those he cares about, attempting to protect him from harm. This has made him somewhat annoying to travel around with. This in turn resulted in him sinking into a deeper depression. He feels conflicted between his desire to protect friends and his nihilistic attitude. This has resulted in a somewhat fractured and unstable mind.
His aforementioned instability is a reason that he hates getting attached. Being abandoned is a fear of his so he likes to keep a close eye on a friend, but too many "friends" is what he considers a burden. He can't protect everyone and he suffers heavily from this instability. It really only manifests during his resurreccion. Keeping these feelings inside himself for years has not served him well.
After using his resurreccion, Kazuna becomes less like a calm, nihilistic person and considerably more like a bloodthirsty psychopath. The power goes to his head and he becomes hyper-aggressive complimenting his change in combat style. This psychopathic behavior can be seen in very subtle ways while not using resurreccion, but post-release looks like he has two personalities. These personalities are not truly aware of each other as he loses a degree of his memory after utilizing resurreccion. This is particularly vital when he has committed atrocities and can't remember what he did exactly or why he was in a place, to begin with.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-Powers-
Fighting Style: Kazuna employs a patient fighting style that makes use of repositioning and long drawn out fights. By default, Kazuna waits for the opportune moment to strike, looking for any opening to exploit. This gives him keen eyesight as well as an affinity for noticing discrete, minuscule changes in the environment. The size and weight of his Zanpakutou give him slow attacks with considerable weight behind them. Kurakusabyou allows for great coverage with its sweeping attacks. Kazuna himself is fast and will use that to his advantage in deception. Kazuna takes a stance that emphasizes defense and counterattacking. The stance itself is a hybrid in the sense that most of his counterattacks involve repositioning his target and using follow-up strikes on a disoriented opponent.
Once released, Kazuna uses Kurakusabyou in a new style. He forfeits all defense and repositioning in favor of fast relentless strikes. With the lower weight and dual handed nature of the released state, Kazuna's strikes come out with incredible speed at a low striking power. It is not his intention to overpower his opponent, but instead, back them into a corner slowly whittle them down. While released, Kazuna prioritizes single target strike over his usual sweeping and repositioning. This drastic switch normally catches others off guard, especially when unfamiliar with his abilities. Cero and Balas can be used using Kurakusabyou. The difference, however, is that when discharged from his Zanpakutou, Kazuna normally creates a wide wave-like beam instead of a linear shot.
When struck in combat, Kazuna becomes very unstable. His concept of counterattacking involves keeping his balance and not being hit and being struck can do just that. Once unstable, Kazuna becomes rather erratic, not quite knowing what to do until he calms himself down or somebody does it for him. This is a product of his formidable defenses that have created a certain amount of arrogance within him.
Post resurrecion fighting with Kurakusabyou relies on swift strikes with the blade. Repositioning then turns into minor redirection as Kazuna can move limbs of opponents by digging into them and forcibly moving them. This is not his preferred way of fighting while utilizing resurreccion, but it is an ace in the hole that he can utilize in a pinch. Normally he just opts for the unpredictability of quick movements and vicious strikes at a variety angels. Furthermore, while performing chains and strikes, Kazuna has a habit of flinging his Zanpakutou around similar to Killer B's acrobatic style. This is simply to add to the unpredictability of his attacks.
His entire demeanor changes in post resurreccion. What was once a calm and collected fighter keeping his distance turns into a sadistic psychopath with an intent to destroy all that lives. This makes his fighting style even more unpredictable. He often opens up with an attack from the air in post-release to surprise his opponents. This also brings into close range almost right away unless the opponent is adept at air fighting. In that case, he can create Reishi as a foothold in mid-air to kick off of. This allows him to not only dodge attacks mid-air but chain his vicious aerial strikes as he darts back and forth.
While in its sealed state, Kazuna has an extremely uninterested attitude. He fights simply to fight without any form of purpose. All he seeks to do is for others to join in his nihilism by releasing them from the prison of flesh and bone. This ideology of positive negation allows him to look at things objectively. This includes fights. While not in resurreccion, he is much better at identifying structural weaknesses in stances as well as using his sweeping attacks to not only remain at a distance but get his opponent off his feet.
Zanpakutou Appearances: Kurakusabyou in its sealed state takes the appearance of a large scythe, attached to the back of Kazuna's robes. The scythe itself has a purple hilt with a black jagged blade. The scythe itself measures to be slightly larger than Kazuna which adds weight to it. Kurakusabyou has unique insignia's of a black skull with red eyes on its hilt along with faint markings on the blade itself giving it a somewhat stylish look. The bottom of the hilt is somewhat shredded off to be somewhat diagonal. This comes with the passage of time and battles.
After the release name is muttered by Kazuna, a dark purple aura overtakes Kurakusabyou, outlining the scythe. After a few seconds, the Zanpakutou begins to almost wither like a flower. It then splits and reforms into dual kamas. These kamas have a similar insignia on both blades as well as inverted color schemes. One has a black blade and red hilt while the other has a red blade and black hilt. They are about the length of one arm with the blade extending out from the side like a typical scythe.
Zanapkutou Release Names "Rot and Decay, Kurakusabyou."
Overall Ability: Kurakusabyou has the ability to transmit an almost decaying ailment upon Reishi. It latches onto sources of Reishi and acts as a corrosive. The withering effect is shortlived, but multiple such ailments add up quickly. The decay appears as lumps. Furthermore, his abilities can interact with this decay.
Kurakusabyou has great range and spacing. By using the crescent shape of the scythe, Kazuna can forcibly move others around by "catching" them with the scythe and "ragdolling" them in a sense. Typically it simply moves them around. This gives his Zanpakutou incredible crowd control. While slow, the scythe does hit with a considerable amount of force. The blade of the scythe itself is able to sever a head if swung in a correct way. Other than that, the scythe has no other special properties.
Primera Etapa Overall Ability: Kurakusabyou utilizes ailments similar to necrosis to eat away at reiatsu. The ailment itself is reminiscent of the lumps that the Black Death created. The lumps themselves dissipate after a short amount of time after they induce the ailment. The ailment itself then remains dormant within the body of the victim and simply reactivates whenever the stimuli are applied. Volatile Decay can interact with other techniques.
While in resurreccion, Kurakusabyou turns into dual kamas. This change in tactic allows him to surprise opponents, especially if they grew accustomed to his slow and more methodic style of fighting in Kurakusabyou's sealed state. The more relentless style of fighting allows Kazana to weave around the area much quicker. It also gives him the added ability to be able to create Reishi footholds in mid-air. This allows him to kick off mid-air.
Segunda Etapa Overall Ability:N/A
Zanpakuto Techniques:
Technique Name: Volatile Decay
Technique Description and Effects:
Volatile Decay acts very similar to a short-lived form of necrosis. It is applied upon contact of his Zanpakutou. Any hit with the blade will apply Volatile Decay. The contact point includes any body part or the targets release weapon. It is an ability that he toggles and once activated, every swing drains 25 Reiatsu. Once applied, it remains for 5 posts. Volatile Decay can be applied up to 5 times on the same target. A successful hit with it active will apply one lump at the point of contact. Every lump drains 50 reiatsu per post from the victim. The lumps from volatile decay have a secondary effect. Every lump on an opponent increases stamina drain. For every lump, the afflicted victim suffers greater stamina drain as if they are going at a speed of 50+ their current. I.E if someone with one lump is going at a speed of 100, stamina drain will apply as if they are going at 150. Conversely with 2 lumps, it would be 200. In total 5 lumps would equate stamina drain at 350 speed which affects the physical exhaustion of the victim, creating any stamina penalty one would encounter at 300+ speed. Furthermore, for a cost of 50 reiatsu, Kazuna may place a lump onto himself or onto a surface or object that he is in contact with. This doesn't do anything on its own, but instead can be detonated by Miasmatic Coverage or sacrificed to shoot a beam of Infestation Renewal from its location.
Technique Drawbacks: Volatile decay can only affect targets consisting of some form of Reishi. Furthermore, the decay can only add up to a total of 5 lumps on a victim. If toggled, reaitsu will be drained from the user regardless if they hit or not. Lumps can be resisted if the target has a 50% offensive stat superiority.

Reserved?Yes
Technique Name: Miasmatic Coverage
Technique Description and Effects: This ability allows him to detonate a volatile decay allowing a cloud of miasma to form. This can cover the entire body of a victim and applies 3 lumps pf Volatile Decay. Miasmatic coverage requires 300 reiatsu to execute. A preexisting volatile decay is also necessary. Miasmatic coverage will apply no volatile decays if the fume is initally dodged. The fume takes up a space of 15 ft.
Technique Drawbacks: This ability can only work if the victim is afflicted with volatile decay. Furthermore, once formed, Kazuna has no control of the miasma. Because of this, allies can be affected. This miasma cannot pass through clothing but can move through the finest cracks and holes. If Miasmatic Coverage is evaded, it does not apply any lumps.

Technique Name: Decaying Breakdown
Technique Description and Effects: Kazuna corrupts the ground around him. Anyone besides Kazuna in range of the corrupted ground suffers a 25% penalty to strength due to temporary muscular atrophy. If strength was at 100 then it will be at 75. For the duration of the debuff. If the victim is suffering from Volatile Decay, the reiatsu drain rate of Volatile decay is doubled ontop of the penalty. Kazuna is always the center of origin of Decaying Breakdown. As such, the ability always moves with him. The ability will end if he is separated from the ground i.e being forced to jump. This technique initially costs 200 reiatsu to start up, but it may be maintained for a cost of 100 reiatsu per post. The penalty remains for 2 posts once applied. The debuff will be refreshed upon entering the radius of the ability again. If a being not consisting of Reishi is affected by this ability, Volatile Decay will be able to afflict those beings for the duration of the debuff. Every post of contact with Decaying Breakdown applies 1 lump of Volatile Decay. Decaying Breakdown travels outward from Kazuna at a speed of 400 to a max range of 100 ft.
Technique Drawbacks: This technique suffers a few drawbacks. First and foremost, any opponent who is more agile than him will be able to avoid the corrupted ground unless caught by surprise. Maintaining the ability can be taxing on his reiatsu reserves. The most fatal flaw is that this ability has no vertical presence. If an opponent is not in direct contact with the corrupted ground, it will not affect them. Unless Kazuna gains an immediate benefit from this, he is practically wasting resources.
Made By: Kazuna Hashiro

Technique Name: Infestation Renewal
Technique Description and Effects:
Upon pointing at the desired target, a beam is released. If it strikes an opponent, the opponent has become infested. This causes the opponent to be afflicted with two lumps. Furthermore, Infestation Renewal can be fired from an existing lump on Kazuna or on an object. The beam travels at the speed and is the size of a bala. As such, it looks like a concentrated fast green beam.
Technique Drawbacks:
This technique has a few drawbacks. The Infestation can be removed through a form of cleansing. Once the duration elapses, the target gains a 2 post immunity against any future infestation attempt. This ability is ineffective against opponents with a poison resist of +3. If an Infestation Renewal is fired from a lump, the lump is sacrificed.

Memorable Figures: Mother, Father, Elder Sister
History: Let us weave the tale of Kazuna's history. On a dark day, in 1550, Kazuna was born to a poor family of three excluding him. His elder sister, Eleana Hashiro, his mom, Katsui Hashiro and finally his dad, Daniel Hashiro. Kazuna has a convoluted childhood. For you see, it was at age 4 that Eleana had died. He was extremely distraught about, crying nights on end while being consoled by his mom. Little did he know that this would only be the beginning of numerous issues.
Kazuna was age 13 when he took up a job as a blacksmith in a distant land with a late Medieval Era. This gave Kazuna a trade to feed his dwindling family. His dad was reaching the average life expectancy of the time, leading to several instances of medical issues. These issues eventually became so severe that he had to stop working. This led to the inevitable death of his father when he turned 15. This was a devastating blow to Kazuna's mental health.
After the death of his father, Kazuna sank into a deep depression. This was the beginning of his nihilistic behavior and regrettably, this would set him on the path that he is on now. This newfound nihilism gave Kazuna new hope. Realizing that all the death and destruction wouldn't mean anything in the end. He realized that death was now simply a trivial matter. This new turn of idealism would lead to a new life.
One day, Kazuna's eighteenth birthday came about and all was good. His mom was supporting him to go out and join the royal military court. As fate would have it, tragedy struck and a death would happen. It was not Kazuna's death that occurred...his time had not come yet. Instead, Kazuna lost all he had left, his mother. This would fracture Kazuna's entire perception of the supposed "fairness" of life. He wondered how this could happen, how he could lose the one thing he had left. It was on this day that Kazuna did not join the military.
Kazuna would proceed to live a normal peaceful life while still keeping his general nihilistic thoughts. It was a fateful day, around age 23, that Kazuna would meet his end as well. One day, while walking through the woods, he felt a presence overtake him, pinning him to the ground. It was then that he felt the cold overtake him and he seemingly passed out. This was the beginning of his path to the Arrancar.
That day, in the cold of the night, Kazuna woke up with a strange feeling in his chest. He looked down and was absolutely shocked at what was there. He saw a chain attached to his body causing a considerable amount of pain. Ultimately, he crawled up against a tree and simply began to try and consoled himself. He did this for a few hours before coming to the realization that he was tethered to what seemed like his mangled, bloody body.
It was after this that he began to come to terms with this new state, unfamiliar with the concept of encroachment. Kazuna continued on for several years, experiencing intense sudden pain at times. He would begin to notice the chain becoming shorter and shorter. It was this that gave him false hope. He assumed that the encroachment would finally allow him to cease to exist. This was a true relief given the situation. Kazuna would however soon realize that the ending to encroachment would be less than ideal.
As the final jolt of pain arose, Kazuna winced in pain but had the relief of nihilism in the back of his head. He felt a new feeling grip him as the chain finally corroded. He began to scream in agony as feelings of anger, hate, and murder enveloped his mind. The hollow mask began to form, creating a thick, mask very reminiscent of a skull. He felt all emotion of compassion and love be released as all that he felt was the cold, dark hate that would overtake the area he lived in.
Years of being a Hollow caused a deeper hatred and feelings of malice to form. His consumption of souls really did not help with it. The memories of his mother and sister never truly consoled him again. He kept killing and killing, consuming souls not by choice, but really because he had to. This meanwhile did not truly change his views or acts for that matter.
It was a cold December evening decades later that something interesting occurred. Kazuna felt a sudden compulsion...the need even to remove the Hollow mask as quickly as possible. The pleas were not heard as he continued digging into a human he had just killed. These feelings would begin to become stronger and stronger. This compulsion grew to compulsions that caused pain and agony.
It was then that he had enough of the agony. He clasped his hands around his mask and began to pull. There was creaking and cracking as he screamed in agony. He felt physical pain and eventually, it snapped off as his mind began to unravel. He contorted and returned to Hueco Mundo where he felt reborn in a sense. He was lying on the ground, passed out after a few hours and felt different. He felt more in control. This was the beginning of his journey as an Arrancar.
Kazuna looked down an noted his tattered look. He decided to go out and finally do something for himself. His appearance had also changed somewhat, now with black hair and grey eyes. The oddest thing, however, was that Kazuna felt something on his back. It felt heavier in a sense, yet also light as a feather. He reached back and grabbed the hilt of a scythe on his back. At that moment, he felt the screams of death that he had bathed in as a hollow. These screams were more focused and controlled. Kazuna let go of the weapon in an instant but felt a strange power radiate from it.
Kazuna tried to get his bearing and view his surroundings. This was the most important thing as of right now. He looked upon the desolate land of Hueco Mundo. The scythe began to attract him again. He tried to resist the temptation but decided to lay his eyes upon it once more. He grabbed it and held it in his hands, feeling a strange necromantic power course through his veins. It was after many moons, that he had heard a whisper in the silence. It sounded faint, "Kurakusabyou...".
Kazuna continued on and used his Zanpakutou with clumsy ability, eventually becoming more and more proficient at it as the years went on. The day that marked his greatest achievement is when he ran into a Soul Reaper and defended himself, inevitably killing the Reaper. It was then that Kazuna had felt the ideology that he had longed for all this time, nihilism. This would, however, become a double-edged sword as his mind began to unravel from the constant thoughts of nihilism.
His first true inner conflict was when he idly stood by as a friend of his, August Lomba, died at the hands of Reaper. August was a low ranking arrancar whom he had met in his time in Hueco Mundo. His desire to protect her conflicted with his concept of nihilism. It dealt him great pain as Kurakusabyou responded to his pain. It hissed in his mind and Kazuna stood up with new "hope". He became obsessed with dealing back the same blow to the Shinigami that they had dealt August. He would strip flesh and bone from Reapers who posed a threat to his friends. He set off on a journey to become stronger.
With practice and experience, Kazuna became known as an incredibly powerful Arrancar. He had done several things like kill Soul Reapers or gotten some white robes to accompany his look. His name was known throughout the Soul Society like many other delinquents. He was not nearly as well known as the Espada. This is something he wanted to change. To truly send a message to the world, they need power and that was exactly what he was going to aim to do.
He sought out the fabled group of Espada, but to little avail. It was later that after months of training and becoming more and more known that he was finally sought out.
