Technique Description and Effects: As Shizuyoko has progressed, more and more of what she once was has come to bubble to the surface, more and more her memories and old emotions sink deeper into her soul, and because of this, she has forced a powerful connection with her Zanpaku'to. This has occurred because Shizuyoko has begun to give in to Daihachbi's demands. By impaling herself on Daihachibi, thic technique consumes the zanpaku'to temporarily, taking it into her body. With this, she is reunited with her lost tail, and she transforms. Immediately upon transformation, Shizuyoko's tails burst from her form and grow to a full size of 10 feet in length. At this point scales begin rippling across her body and Seven Fanged mouths sprout from her back. At this point her transformation is not complete. and unlike her tails, the scales on her body only have half the normal durability ( 325(Class 3), 425(Class 2), 525(Class 1), 625(Class 0) ).

The following post, Shizuyoko completes her transformation, sprouting seven extra heads while her normal body is transformed into her original body of the 8 headed snake, her body a full 20 feet in length from the fip of any head to the corresponding tail. In this form ,she gains full durability of her scales, but at a Value equal to her strength rather than the flat values her tails once had.  Additionally, she immediately enters Shikai, with the abilities of Daihachibi being channeled through her body as opposed to the weapon. The ability Dreadful Scales (Her stealth ability) applies solely to her Eight head and tail, which hides among the other seven.

This technique corresponds to the 50 shards of the zanpaku'to's blade. When shattered, the shards of this blade are treated as if they had a 2 in stealth, making these blades all but impossible for the naked eye to see. However, they give off an incredible 100 Dark Aura, allowing those with at least a 100 Dark Aura, or a 85 light aura to be able to sense the general direction of the blades, and if combined with a 1 in anti-stealth, able to discern their exact location. Additionally, at least 200 in senses or Energy senses will also count as if they had 1 extra anti-stealth. A 400 in either will count as 2. Anti stealth of 2, obviously, also will allow them to be seen.

Technique Drawbacks (Limitations, repercussions for use, etc)

This Technique costs a tremendous 600 Reiatsu to initiate. Additionally, this technique completely locks Shizuyoko out of using Nanakiba Orochi and Bankai for the duration of the transformation, and for five rest posts after it has ended due to the damage to her connection with her other zanpaku'to (Recovery only occurs outside of combat). Additionally, this technique is monstrous and truly identifies her for the beast she truly is. Additionally, Shizuyoko's Light/Dark Aura becomes 50/50 as Daihachibi is no longer separated and thus draining the negativity from her body. However she gains none of the benefits that would normally come with having this L/D Aura levels.
Lastly, because of the physiology of her new form, Shizuyoko's Step techniques are reduced to 4x speed.

I'd like to see more drawbacks than reiatsu cost for gaining a whole body Strength armor as well as a 15 post Shikai. Not to mention 8 fanged heads to attack with one of which is stealthed.

She also loses out on her other shikai (which admittedly makes her Overall a little useless as all it does is dye things she touches red.) But I'll extend the lockout past the duration of the release, and I'll add a physiological cut to step techs.

Ok, I’ll be the second line of grading for this.

Frankly, I think this technique does far too much for far too little. Firstly, I think this technique should be at least Class 2 - but even then it requires some balancing.

Firstly - I don’t understand the durability. What do you mean by: “( 325(Class 3), 425(Class 2), 525(Class 1), 625(Class 0) )” Where do those numbers come from?

Secondly, please include the effects of “Dreadful Scales” in this technique - so that ALL of the bonuses of this technique are listed in its effects.

Thirdly, I don’t see why this extends the duration of your Shikai - it’s already a considerable body transformation technique, what’s the reasoning for this extra effect?

Fourthly, the posts required to regain access to her Zanpakuto should be rest posts, not just 5 simple posts.

Finally, I think the multiplier for step techniques should be reduced to a flat 4x. The reduction for 11 to 9 multiplier (for example) is pretty negligible, most of the time.

Sorry if this seems harsh, but I just think you’re asking way too much from this technique. It needs more drawbacks, or the boons should be reduced.

Durabilities are from Tails of the Orochi, which is the Technique which governs the use of her tails (Requested by... I think Zwolf? in order to keep in line the usefulness of her tails in combat. It can be seen in her application.
ORIGINALLY I was going to use those values, but felt that a skin durability with no connection to her own stats would not pass, so I had it transition to a stat basis.

The Duration increase has been removed. Step techs are reduced to 4x while in this form.

Dreadful scales has been included in the tech.

Specified that Zan recovery of Nanakiba must be done outside of combat rather than using rest posts. (Even if she managed to find a place to hide in a fight I figure it wouldnt really be conducive to healing, so I strictly made it apply to out of combat posts).

Changes look good to me - aside from my concerns with the phrasing of Dreadful Scales. But that can be fixed if your Shikai is ever submitted for regrading. This has my 2/2.
