Built like a cement truck? Yeah right, you hit like a toddler without any arms Luke, mentally, responded. He wasn't going to voice that thought outloud though. He was certain it would have gotten him into trouble. He couldnt help but blink when he saw just her face appearing out of thin air to speak to him, in fact it made him question just how her powers worked exactly. Seemed a little...weird that she could just turn off invisibility in certain places. Ah whatever. Powers were powers. But she was right. The odds really were stacked against Taka. Maybe Luke was trying too hard to get her stronger?

What happened next, though, caused Luke to panic a little. It happened after Takas face vanished behind the curtain of her abilities again. Wonderful. Luke blinked, adjusting his grip on his weapon as he waited for Taka to make her move. If her getting stronger meant him taking some hits he'd be fine with that. Despite having his Energy Sensory cast out, Luke couldn't pick up on Taka what so ever. Just how strong was her stealth ability? Unknown to him, Taka was busy setting up her own little trap against him. Something more effective than trying to kick him in the junk.

As Luke stood there, wondering what the best course of action to take was, he would suddenly see the ground beneath him glow red hot. "What?!" He shouted with surprise, quickly jumping when he saw the ground beneath him forming into glass. What just happened? Why didn't his feet burn? Landing a few feet away from the glass floor, Luke blinked as he inspected it. What had happened? Was this another part of Takas ability? Did the heat he feel when he got slapped relate to this new ability he was shown? So many questions but not enough answers!

Then Luke felt something against his back. He felt a pair of, soft, things poking into his back. It took him a moment before he realized what they were, and that realization caused the young man's cheeks to begin turning a little red. Her whispering to him didn't help matters either, since Luke was into that-"Stop thinking about sex you stupid shit! Springflut screamed, knocking Luke out of his gutter minded train of thought. "Scared? Naw. Confused, mostly. I'm not sure just what you're gonna pull out next." Luke commented, looking behind him to find that Taka was already gone. Great.

Well at least he was just as horny as ever. In any case it didn't take Taka all that long to determine that without her abilities, this would be an incredibly stacked fight. While on the other hand with them, things were stacked in her favor. She counted herself lucky she supposed, but even so, there was the matter of the fact they were fighting. It didn't take much, she stepped in, her footsteps muted, and moved in just behind Luke, and focused, that branching of her ability wrapping around Luke, those roots that would surround him in a way he could not feel, but also that were effected by her primary ability. Except for one spot. A single area like a spear was formed, one that burned the air around it, and then moved, sinking towards Luke's shoulder as she aimed to stab him directly through the shoulder with that spike of heat, aiming to shove her roots through his shoulder, using that burning ability to pierce him, as if it were coming from the front. Whilst she, meanwhile, remained behind him.

She wasn't a master strategist, but she imagined that reasonably, he would back away, pressing back from the attack, which naturally, at that point, he would run into her. And thus eliminate his presumption that he would be able to track her from what direction he was assaulted from. And she of course kept two of those sharp areas of heat behind her, in the even that he backed into her a bit too hard and she would have to spike him to get him off of her. It was tiring, but hardly unworth it. She had used reiatsu, but honestly not all that much. It was true that she didn't have an enormous amount of stamina, but at her level, the abilities she used did not cost all that much to begin with. So it was hardly a problem.

That said, she knew that Luke had more up his sleeve. If push came to shove, she was sure he could stomp her, and she admitted to herself that she appreciated it. In a way she really enjoyed the fact that he was so understanding with her. Sure, what with the new burning stabs that might change, but the fact of the matter was that he was forcing her to really push herrself, and that in and of itself was going to help her tremendously in the long-run.

Things were silent again. Looks like the talking was done and the fighting was back on track. Luke bent his knees, resting his sheathed sword against his waist. He knew that his back was exposed, and with Takas abilities he had every reason to expect an attack from there. It was why he was keeping his guard in relation to his backside at its utmost. If he even felt a shiver from a cold breeze he'd be jumping in response. It was bait to try and lure Taka out. Granted, what he would do when caught her was still up in the air. Maybe wrestling her down to the ground and returning what she gave him at the muse-"What the hell did I just say!?" Springflut suddenly screamed, shattering the thoughts and leaving Luke rather embarrassed, and annoyed at Jägers cackling. Alright, sorry.

Focusing back on what mattered, Luke had no idea what Taka was currently spreading around him. He was completely oblivious to her roots making their way around him, closing him in like a lobster in a cage. But what he did notice was the sudden appearance of something ahead of him. Luke wasn't quite sure what he was seeing, but it looked...the air was heating? Like it was waving in the air in front of him, like what you saw on the road on a hot day. He blinked, and suddenly noticed it was heading towards him! Luke, in a brief moment of panic, jumped backwards just as Taka predicted he would. And, again, just as she thought he bumped into her.

Luke blinked. He blinked in surprise when he felt Taka behind him. But if she was behind him...then how was she attacking him from the front? It was like a toddler putting a puzzle together. First the floor, and now whatever this heat rod was, Luke was beginning to realize that invisibility was not all Taka could do. So, when Luke bumped into Taka when he jumped back, he would suddenly vanish from her site. Spirit energy kicking into action in his legs propelled him upwards as he used Movement. The step technique would push him upwards and into the air, a good couple dozen feet in the air above Taka and their little battle field.

Luke turned in middair, crouching on airground as he peered down at where he had bumped into Taka and nearly been hit by that weird spear thing. "Aha-ahaha." came Jägers mocking laughter. The hell're you laughing at now? Luke asked annoyingly. "It didn't take her long to make you pull out some spirit power huh?" He was referring to what Luke had said earlier, about wanting to see how long he could manage against Taka before pulling out his own bullshit. Luke frowned, but still couldn't help but chuckle. It just meant Taka was better than he, and perhaps herself, thought. Luke was just an amateur after all.

Even so, if he was going to start using spirit energy he might step it up a notch. Bringing his left arm back, the Mod Soul would get a good view as a blue light began to materialize in Luke's left palm. Energy swirled and collected itself into a fiery aura around his hand, growing in size a few times before becoming the size of the Bounts head. But he didn't throw the attack. He held it. He stared down at the ground for a few seconds. One, two, three, four, five. He counted down the seconds. He was giving Taka time to see his attack and react to it. He wasn't trying to blast her out of existence. After fifteen seconds, Luke let out a shout before lunging his hand forward, resulting in that collection of energy exploding.

The energy blasted outwards from Luke's hand, shaping itself into an arrow headed beam of energy aimed directly at where Luke had been before he used Movement. Luke didn't put too much power into this Spirit Wave. It might have been enough to hurt Taka if she were hit, but Luke had given her enough time to recognize the attack and dodge or prepare for some kind of counter measure against it. Colliding with the ground it would cause an eruption of dirt and dust as it created a decent sized crater in the ground, enough that Luke could fit his body in if he chose to. Pulling his arm back, Luke blinked as he looked at the huge cloud of dust he created before scratching his cheek. "I hope that wasn't too much..." He mumbled to himself.

"Naw I bet she's fine. Probably a little dirty and missing a leg, but totally totally fine." Thanks for the commentary. "In fairness you gave her ample time to prepare herself. But you did, essentially, fire a cannon ball at a glass window." Whose side were you on? Luke frowned, a little bit concerned, but deep down had a feeling everything was alright. "Hey Taka! Maybe sometime I can teach you that move! It's really useful. You might get some good use out of it, what with your invisibility powers and all." Luke shouted down sincerely.

Zaluu lifted a brow as she made note that after slamming into her, Luke had jumped up into the air. She let out a slow, smooth breath and narrowed her eyes, clenching her fists as she eyed the Bount up in the sky, narrowing her eyes for a moment as she realized there wasn't really a way for her to get at him.... was there? No...nothing really came to mind. She actually had no idea how to get at him up there. She didn't really think she knew any high speed motions. And even then, she wasn't sure if... wait. Did she?

She paused, thinking hard as she dug into her memory. She was an idiot... She DID have something after all. A funneling of reiatsu coursed through her being and she took one, slow, steady breath. And she began running straight up, grunting silently as her ability muffled her noises of exertion as she began creating those advanced platforms, panes of reiatsu which she stuck to her feet, proceeding to make a spiral path all the way up to luke as he charged that energy-type attack. She had to admit it was rather showy, and she did have to thank him for giving her time to react.

By the time he fired, she was already halfway up to him. Weak as she was, she was much faster than most humans. and once that energy blast roared past her and slammed into the ground, she was a good five feet from him. Just slightly below him and more towards his front than his back. More than close enough. Focusing, she took a slow breath and took just a second to stop, waiting for the dust to clear from that explosion, letting her roots sense exactly where Luke was. And then she let it rip.

All at once, every single square inch of open air that she had her roots spread to suddenly began burning. Spreading her ability to her roots as well as contact with luke as immediately she would subject just about every inch of luke to that powerful condensed and compressed light, suddenly Luke would be subjected to that laser-like power of hers as assuming he hadn't randomly stepped away after unleashing his attack, he would find himself suddenly bombarded with pain from all directions. And of course, she couldn't form her roots inside of him, so really it would be like a burning net closing around him. But this of course was the trap.

If he kept his cook and triad to deal with the attack where he was, the damage would be mostly superficial, however there was the account of him panicking. Earlier when he'd bumped into her he had instinctively raced away. If that happened this time, he would essentially be throwing himself through several feet of red-hot razor-wire. And unlike normal razor wire, he didn't have the spiritual power to break it. contrary to the class of his strength, in terms of sheer offensive potential and durability, they were evenly matched. It would be like trying to charge through a giant cheese grater. Mere seconds after she began this assault, she knew that she would have to refresh the ability in mere moments.

Not that that was a problem. She had plenty of reiatsu, and contrary to luke's presumptions, her ability despite it's strength, was actually fairly cheap. So after her assault had started, she allowed that sound veil to peel away from her lips, though she kept the visual cloaking active. "Tell me who your Daddy is Fucko, surrender, and I'll stop." came that taunt. Which.... was just one of the many blunders Zaluu made. She was actually on a cvery good streak ever since she had started this. But ontop of her prowess, she just enjoyed having fun a bit too much. By reveaing her location via audio, she DID give Luke a way out. It was just a matter of whether he had the skill and prowess to do so.

Shit. Shit shit shit! Shit! Hot! Luke mentally shouted as he was suddenly assaulted on every side of his body by intense heat. What was happening? Was this the same ability that Taka had shown off before with that weird heat spear and when she made the ground glow? How the hell did he get surrounded in this heat? That was a stupid question. He'd given her PLENTY of time to react to what he was doing. It stood to reason that if he was able to ascend into the air and use Air Ground, then she certainly would have been able to as well. But even so, Luke wasn't expecting something like this. She was literally cooking him damn it. Naturally, Luke was going to try and get out of it. It seemed stupid to just stand here and be burnt. But Luke didn't understand the extent of Taka's powers.

When he tried to back up, he was met with something painful. He felt his back sliced into by something. Something was slicing into his back! Pain. Burning pain. Fuck pain fuck! What was happening?! Luke let out a pained yell and pushed himself forward to move those burning sensations off of himself. Was he in some kind of net? His back sizzled as the flesh was cauterized by the intense heat, meaning he wasn't going to be bleeding at least. Didn't change any fuckin thing that it still hurt like hell. Wasn't Taka going a little too far with this? Luke found his jaws grinding together as he was assaulted by the heat on all sides. He felt like he was getting cooked like a Thanksgiving turkey.

Yeah, this was going too far. Yeah, Luke wanted Taka to improve. He was pushing her to do so. But he'd been careful with his attacks. He had kept his sword sheathed. He'd purposefully held his energy attack back to give Taka time to respond to it. Taka did have an excuse for why she was, as she put it, fighting dirty but this was in a class of its own. Luke could seriously be hurt. Hell, he might actually have been seriously hurt and he didn't even know it. He closed his eyes, trying to think of a way out of this, when he suddenly heard that playful mocking. And when he heard her voice, that was when it all happened. Immediately, for Taka, the air grew incredibly heavy. It was as if someone had just turned the Earth's gravity itself up a level. Gravitational Pressure was escaping from Luke as his Spiritual Pressure flexed outwards into the real world.

His head turned in the direction of where Taka's voice had come from, and whether or not his eyes met hers didn't matter. Those normally murky browns had become emblazoned amber. Cog It wasn't just the gravity Taka was hit with. She was hit with something psychological suddenly. Her will to fight would suddenly be shrunken as an explosive wave of intimidation emanated from Luke. His Willpower manifested itself as something to scare her, to get her to back off with this tactic. Yeah, Luke was actually a little pissed now that he'd actually gotten hurt. Cog, an ability part of the Willpower technique, was an interesting little power. Only usable against people weaker than the user, it would blast them with a wave of intimidation that would diminish their will to fight.

The combined effects of Cog and Gravitational Pressure were sure to have some negative effect on Taka. Maybe she'd realize she might have taken this a little far. While Luke was certainly happy at her development, he was pissed he'd gotten so hurt. "I can kill her if you want. Nobody would know. She's not that hot anyways." Fuck off Jäger. Finally, Luke decided to open his mouth. "That's enough for tonight. Lower whatever this is so I can get a look at how bad my back is."

[Stage One: Cog]: By giving up 100 Reiatsu, the user pumps an explosive amount of intimidating power out. Anyone of inferior class will immediately be intimidated. This does not mean they won't fight. Those who are weak enough in comparison will feel a huge, exaggerated surge of power that will probably make them surrender. This can also be used on Hollows to actually scare them away instead of having to kill them. This does NOT work on animals! It only works on "intelligent beings." This means unless it has a similar to human intelligence, this wont' work on an animal.

That sudden wave of spiritual pressure slammed into Zaluu, and even though it wasn't enough to incapacitate her, it WAS still heavy, and immediately she flexed her own spirit, and for just an instant, that net of burning began to grow, and move in closer, digging into Luke, but in that same instant, she recognized the impulse and immediately shut it off entirely. Her ability ended prematurely in her sudden haste, and immediately she became visible, dropping to her knees and panting a little as sweat beaded along her form.

From her spot up in the air she paused and gritted her teeth, taking several slow, calming breaths as she did her best to still her racing heart, giving a bit of a sheepish look at Luke as she noticed the damage to his form, she had to admit that she had cut a bit deeper than she had expected. With how ridiculously fast he was compared to her she had figured he would have reacted faster, having underestimated her own stealth. Her own inexperience had actually endangered the man, and she began to realize that.

"Jeez... I'm sorry Luke, I ... I'm still new to this power. I didn't think it'd hurt you like that." She murmured, clear worry on her face as she looked him over for bleeding, even though that was a bit of a stupid sentiment. The wounds would have instantly cauterized. Good to stop bleeding, not so great to keep away infection. And unlike her, Luke actually had a fair attachment to his body. "I'll have doc take a look at you. And....yea... I think that's enough for tonight." She noted, taking a bit of a breath as she realized how tired she was. She wasn't used to using energy like this, not to mention climbing around on spirit platforms. She was able to move, but she was hardly as fit as the average human, so her muscles were sore from all that moving around. She grunted, gently rubbing her sore limbs and looking around. Feeling.... sheepish.

"I should probably call to have some of my poys pick us up. I'm so worn out I don't think I'll be able to walk back." She murmured, creating spirit platforms and sliding her way down to the ground in a spiral, as if some spiral kiddie slide were there, one of the many ways that AAP could be used. When she was on the ground she was relieved to end the technique and finally relax, she was starving from using up so much spirit energy. She was hardly empty, but it was still hunger-inducing work, and her legs were aching from that running around and climbing.

Everything was calming down. The combination of his spiritual fluctuation and Cog worked perfectly to settle her down. The result of his overwhelming intimidation caused her to lower her heated wire ability, freeing Luke from the deadly net. When the cool night air replaced the heated from moments ago, he let out a comfortable sigh of relief. It felt good against his stinging skin. His breathing began slowing down as he lowered the abilities that stripped Taka of her fighting spirit. The weight on the air from the improved gravity vanished in moments as the outburst of intimidation energy coming from Cog did as well. He let out a sigh as he slowly lowered himself to the earth, wincing as he shifted his shoulders causing his wounds to become agitated.

Taka apologized, which was good enough for him, and even stated she could get the doc to take a look at him. "Yeah that sounds nice." he commented, before looking over at her as she decided to relax on an air platform. He noted how tired she looked, wondering just how much fuel she had left in her. He was thankful they hadn't been fighting seriously, otherwise one of them would have gotten much more hurt than they did. "You're strong. Maybe after a few more nights like this you'll have caught up or overtake me completely." Luke commented, aiming to give her some positive reinforcement that she'd done a good job tonight, despite the burning of his back. However, it seemed that Taka had burned through so much more energy than Luke had. Even though he was feeling a little drained himself he was nowhere near as bad as she was. A quick reading on her with his Energy Sensory gave him a good idea just how much spirit energy she'd been down to. Resting one of his hands on his waist, he raised an eyebrow at the Mod Soul when she suggested calling her men to come get them. Most of them were probably drunk from the celebration earlier anyways. ”Nah don't bother.” Luke commented, suddenly scooping Taka up in his arms without warning. One hand resting beneath her shoulders and another beneath her knees, Luke had no problems lifting her besides the wounds on his back.

”The clubs not that far away, you know. I've got it.” he explained with a smile before walking, heading back in the direction of Takas club so they could both get some rest after this evening's spar.
