These are the techniques belonging to the Kasumi'Oji family within Seireitei. Many of these techniques make use of the user's Life Force as well as their Reiatsu, much like a Rogue's abilities. This shouldn't be a surprise, though; the Kasumi'Oji are the source of most Bakkoto in the world. Kasumi'Oji techniques are broken into two categories: Genesis Arts and Mind Hana. This first post is dedicated to Genesis Arts, which is a series of techniques designed around creation, often invoking life and sentience as well as shape and form.
{Class 4 Techniques}Technique Name: Anima: Plasmatio
Class: 4
Technique Type: Genesis Art
Usable By: Kasumi’Oji family members only
Technique Element: Life
Technique Description and Effects:
Plasmatio allows the user generate objects and weapons. This is a tactical version of the secret art used to create special weapons such as the Bakkoto. It costs 300 Life Force and only allows the user to make weapons up to the size of a spear. Swords, axes, etc. are all possible, but a siege warfare battering ram isn't. Their resilience and cutting power are naturally functions of the user’s Reiatsu Strength. They're well-forged, of course, so they're not brittle. These weapons have no inherent powers, but by casting a non-Genesis technique on them, the user can lend the weapon the power of that technique. Since they're living, they can break themselves apart at will. For an additional 200 life force, the user can add animated living components to the weapons, such as tentacles.
How to use technique:
Hold the hand out and will the technique to occur.
Technique Drawbacks
Life force cost. A weapon can also be stolen and used against the user by a skilled opponent, so caution is necessary.

Technique Name: Genesis Art: Vitae
Usable By (Technique is available to which races?): [Kasumi’Oji Shinigami]
Technique Element: [Life Force]
Technique Description and Effects (Explain appearance, powers, and effect): [Insert Below]
The legendary Genesis Art techniques of the Kasumi’Oji were famous for their ability to harness the user’s life force in order to create their own artificial life. The kido expert Mamoru Kasumi’Oji was able to harness this knowledge to literally turn his kido and other energy-based techniques into life. This allows non-release techniques to take the form of an animal and move with their own free will at a speed of 600 or the technique's original speed, whichever is lower. In the case of a static technique that does not move, it is granted a speed of 600. They are programmed with only the intention to move toward a target. When mastered, they can take on more intricate commands like circling the user and protecting them.
How to use technique (How is it activated?): [Insert Below]
Activate Vitae at the same time that the technique it modifies is being activated.
Technique Drawbacks (Limitations, repercussions for use, etc) (Insert Below)
The first drawback is the life-force cost of 300 at activation and 100 life force for each post afterward that Vitae is active. Secondly, the technique can never stop moving, solely acting out the single task that it was programmed with. They think on their own, so after they have been assigned a job, they will never give up until they die or their mission is no longer possible.

{Class 3 Techniques}Technique Name: Anima: Genesis
Class: 3
Technique Type: Genesis Art
Usable By: Kasumi’Oji family members only
Technique Element: Life
Technique Description and Effects:
This is a simple technique. It brings something to life, infusing it with vitality and motion. Genesis Spirit threads itself through the object, which can now move, contort itself, and essentially work like one of those magical housekeeping implements from Disney movies. When used on a technique or something larger like terrain, it creates a fully sentient copy of Taihō equal to her in size; the stats are hers, with the exceptions that the Reiatsu Strength equals that of the technique and there is no Spiritual Pressure. Spiritual Pressure simply doesn't exist for these entities.
How to use technique:
Touch the target. The technique can be fired at a speed of the user's RS in the form of a golden beam, but that costs extra.
Technique Drawbacks
Costs 400 Life Force and, if fired, 300 Reiatsu. Entities created via Anima have extremely limited reiatsu reserves; one created from a technique can only spend as much as was spent to cast the technique, and it dissipates the moment that reiatsu runs out. Anima is also unusable on the enemy's body and immediate possessions (a weapon that they're holding or clothes that they're wearing). Objects created with Anima are also created without a weapon, forcing them to fight unarmed unless they get a weapon from somewhere.

Technique Name: Anima: Oculus
Class: 3
Technique Type: Genesis Art
Usable By: Kasumi’Oji family members only
Technique Element: Life
Technique Description and Effects:
Oculus generates an enlarged, floating eye. By the standards of eyes, it's gigantic, but it remains a pretty small object, about six inches in diameter. Only the lens and small corneal region around it is bared; the rest of the eye is covered in a chitinous substance akin to Hierro. Be careful! This shell is covered in barbs and edges that allow the Oculus to adhere to targets or cause them shallow cuts. An Oculus has visual and energy senses equivalent to the user's energy sensory and the ability to freely hover and fly in midair with a Speed stat of 300. They're pretty smart; they're programmed to read the battlefield and act to ensure the user’s victory, and they're also attuned to the user’s Reiatsu and mind. The Oculus can activate any of the user’s techniques besides Genesis Arts at any moment, but doing so just once will render the Oculus immobile from fatigue after a couple of seconds. The Reiatsu cost of the technique is detracted from the user’s Reiatsu pool immediately.
How to use technique:
Hold out hand and cast.
Technique Drawbacks
Cannot use techniques on its own. Costs 400 Life Force to create. Has no energy supply on its own.

Technique Name: [Genesis Art: Volucris]
Class: [3]
Technique Type: [Life Force]
Usable By (Technique is available to which races?): [Kasumi’Oji Shinigami]
Technique Element: [Life Force]
Technique Description and Effects (Explain appearance, powers, and effect): [Insert Below]
Volucris is interesting because, unlike most of its cousin techniques, it lacks combat purpose. This technique was invented for the purpose of support to allies. It spawns a lady big which, depending on the desire of the user, can be anywhere between the normal tiny size of a lady bug to the size of a full-grown golden retriever. It’s the opposite of intimidating. In fact, this ladybug has a personality. It is one of the most intelligent creatures the Genesis Arts are capable of creating, for it has a mind modeled after that of the shinigami it is created from. In that sense, it has a personality parallel and compatible with that of the user that created it. Although it can still die, that personality and individuality lives forever through the user. The first Volucris that the user summons is the same Volucris that they will continue to summon in the future unless a large personality change occurs.
The Volucris is not at all designed for combat. It is meant to be a search and rescue tool. It has 300 strength, 100 speed, 300 instinct, 400 senses, and 400 instinct. It holds no spiritual capability. However, what makes it special is its ability to communicate telepathically to those it touches. Not only can it transmit its thoughts to a person that it makes physical contact with, but it can also act as a medium of telepathic communication between the user and someone else that it is in contact with. No matter where it is, it always holds a telepathic link to its user. This communication occurs at the normal speed of dialogue. Only words or pictures can be communicated, not emotions or memories.
How to use technique (How is it activated?): [Insert Below]
Channel reiatsu to summon the Volucris anywhere within 10 feet.
Technique Drawbacks (Limitations, repercussions for use, etc) (Insert Below)
The volucris costs 400 life force to summon. Furthermore, it is very vulnerable and cannot defend itself in combat. Therefore, if one attempts to use it in a fight, it becomes a liability that they must defend. It is also difficult to use for sensory assistance because, while it can communicate telepathically, the speed that it does so is too slow to be useful in fast-paced fights.

{Class 2 Techniques}Technique Name: Anima: Calcitro
Class: 2
Technique Type: Genesis Art
Usable By: Kasumi’Oji family members only
Technique Element: Life
Technique Description and Effects:
One of the more brutal and disturbing of the Genesis Arts, Clacitro can cause massive tentacles, each one being almost five feet thick at the base and up to ten feet long, to burst from any organic compound within fifty feet of the user, including fertile soil, plants and animals, and the user themselves. These tentacles are massively powerful, possessing a Strength stat of 800, and being able to move at a flat Speed of 200. They have no RS or SprPr, and 150 in both Senses and Instinct. Each one is covered in small, red eyes, as well as armored segments that have a durability equal to the user's RS, and each has it's own limited awareness, instinctively lashing out at the users enemies. If grown from the user's body, the user can direct them as additional limbs, and can do anything with them that they could do with their normal limbs (I.e. cast Kido, etc.). The tentacles are very flexible and dexterous, and can preform delicate operations as well as brute force assaults. The advantages of this technique are obvious. Tentacles can be destroyed at will, and die at the end of thread, or when the host dies. Each tentacle has 1000 static points of Life Force, which are treated as it's health for the purposes of killing it directly.
How to use technique:
Hold out hand and cast.
Technique Drawbacks
Calcitro is a rather intense technique, and has some steep drawbacks. Aside from costing Life Force to manifest, each tentacle drains 200 Life Force per post from whatever it is grown from. In the case of the ground, it is assumed the nearby soil has 1000 Life force. Plants and animals have 1400 Life Force. As Life Force is drained, the host becomes more sickened and withered, as the tentacle draws nutrients from them to support itself. For every 20% of Life force lost, all stats drop by 15%. Of course, at zero Life Force, the host is dead, and the tentacle will die as well. This technique can never be cast on another character, even an NPC, for balance purposes, so it can't be used to kill enemies by draining their Life Force. No more then three tentacles can be grown per post, and no more than twelve can exist at a time.

Technique Name: [Genesis Art: Augendae et Minuere]
Class: [2]
Technique Type: [Life Force]
Usable By (Technique is available to which races?): [Kasumi’Oji Shinigami]
Technique Element: [Life Force]
Technique Description and Effects (Explain appearance, powers, and effect): [Insert Below]
The Kasumi’Oji are known for being able to use life force in order to create life, but this technique takes that to another level. Now, life force can be sacrificed to enhance or weaken the power of non-release techniques. By paying life force upon activating kido, the user is able to increase the class of their technique based on the amount of life force it is imbued with. Similarly, the user can pay life force to decrease the class of the technique, although a technique cannot drop more than three classes below its original class nor can it go below class 8.
How to use technique (How is it activated?): [Insert Below]
Activate Augendae at the same time that the technique it modifies is being activated.
Technique Drawbacks (Limitations, repercussions for use, etc) (Insert Below)
The life force cost of Augendae depends on both the final class of the enhanced technique and the number of classes that it was increased by. The user must pay life force equal to the traditional reiatsu cost of a technique one class below the final class of the enhanced technique PLUS 100 life force for each class that the technique was raised by. For example, a class 2 spell that is increased to class 1 would cost 600 life force (equivalent to the reiatsu cost of a class 1 technique, which is one below the final class of the enhanced technique) in addition to 100 life force for being raised one class, totaling 700 reiatsu. On the other hand, decreasing a technique’s class simply costs 100 life force per class it is reduced. A technique cannot be elevated or reduced by more than three classes.

Technique Name: [Genesis Art: Hortus]
Class: [2]
Technique Type: [Genesis Art]
Usable By (Technique is available to which races?): [Shinigami and Rogues]
Technique Element: [Life]
Technique Description and Effects (Explain appearance, powers, and effect): [Insert Below]
This technique is very basic. By expending their own life force, the user is may form a seed. After planting the seed, it will lay dormant for one full post, collecting life force from the earth itself, before suddenly erupting with life and activity. After the full posts of dormancy, an enormous network of roots will dig through the ground with a speed and force of 800. They will spread around for up to a mile in each direction (although the user can set a smaller area when they initially form the seed), and every 10-20 feet, a thick tree will sprout. The trees have diameters of at least 10 feet and dense, strong branches. Some climb as high as 50 feet into the air. The end result is a new dense forest spawned from the user’s life force.
How to use technique (How is it activated?): [Insert Below]
Mentioned above.
Technique Drawbacks (Limitations, repercussions for use, etc) (Insert Below)
Firstly, it costs 500 life force to create the seed required by Genesis Art: Hortus. Secondly, the trees have a durability of 1000, so it is possible to destroy them. Other than warping the battle arena, Hortus does not have any direct combat application. This technique is not offensive but rather strategic. It is weak to flames, so fire/heat based attacks may treat the trees like they have a durability of 500. Finally, it requires a full post to charge the seed.

Technique Name: [Genesis Art: Deius I]
Class: [2]
Technique Type: [Genesis Art]
Usable By (Technique is available to which races?): [Kasumi’Oji Shinigami and Rogues]
Technique Element: [Life]
Technique Description and Effects (Explain appearance, powers, and effect): [Insert Below]
The Kasumi’Oji Family is rumored to possess certain techniques capable of manipulating the very essence of life itself: the Life Force. This technique, however, takes that simple manipulation to another level. Deius has two levels, the first granting the user can the ability to create microorganisms. With this technique, the user can create anti-bodies, cancers, bacteria, or viruses programmed with a specific biological purpose. Whether the goal is to cure, paralyze, sicken, or kill, these microorganisms are agents of the user. The microorganisms form at the user’s hand or another part of their body. For microorganisms with harmful causes, they will take effect 4 posts after entering the targets body, and they self-duplicate so their numbers keep growing after their inception. Positive microorganisms likes those that act as antidotes may take effect within a post.
Here is a list of potential creations through Deisu:
-Fatal toxins
-Paralysis-inducing agent
-Sleep-inducing agent
-Any existing type of bacteria/viruses (infecting targets with either short-term or long-term diseases)
-Any type of antidote
-Any anti-viral and anti-bacterial agents
-Cancer cells that will later grow into harmful tumors
How to use technique (How is it activated?): [Insert Below]
Stated above.
Technique Drawbacks (Limitations, repercussions for use, etc) (Insert Below)
First of all, Deius requires at least 400 HE and a 2 in Science to learn. The first level of Deius costs 400 life force to activate. Unfortunately, it is also useless unless the user has some means of getting the microorganisms into their target’s body. While beneficial microorganisms can be administered through airborne or waterborne means, any any harmful toxins must enter the target's bloodstream directly to take effect. Even if the user succeeds in planting the microorganisms in the target, if their goal is to harm the enemy, there is a 4 post delay before the microorganisms take effect. For each point in Poison Resist or 100 points in HE (after type) that the target has, it will take them an additional post to suffer the negative effects of Deius. Furthermore, those with 50% the user's offensive stat or a 3 in poison resist are completely immune to Deius I.

{Class 1 Techniques}Technique Name: Anima: Draconem
Class: 1
Technique Type: Genesis Art
Usable By: Kasumi’Oji family members only
Technique Element: Life
Technique Description and Effects:
What do you think it does? Draconem summons a freaking dragon, that's what it does. The user first generates a small seed, which they can "plant" in any organic matter, aside from another character, to have it break open and grow into a thirty foot long dragon that looks something like this. The dragon has 1200 Strength, 600 Speed, and it's other Stats are equal to the casters, except for having no SprPr and no Reiatsu. It does, however, have a static pool of 5000 Life Force, which is used as health for the purposes of killing it directly. The dragon normally has no special abilities aside from, you know, being a dragon, but by casting an elemental Kido on it, the user can give it an attribute. The dragon's body becomes infused with this element, dealing damage and related effects (burning for fire, freezing for ice, etc) to opponents who touch it, and it gains the ability to breath that element in a cone twenty feet long once per post free of charge. The dragon's greatest strength, however, is that is fully sentient; it has the same intelligence, memories and basic personality as the caster, essentially giving the user a fully independent ally that thinks and acts just like they would. And did I mention that ally is a dragon? Pretty scary.
How to use technique:
Create a seed, then plant it in something organic, like fertile soil, or a plant or an animal
Technique Drawbacks
Draconem is a viciously powerful technique that can be used to break armies. I mean, it summons a dragon. You don't get much more bad ass than that, now do you? Of course, it has heavy drawbacks to balance it out. First of all, the Life Force cost is pretty steep, equal to the Reiatsu Cost of a Class 1 technique, which can put the user in dire straits if the timing is off. The second drawback is that it requires a sacrifice. The user must sacrifice one of their arms, to provide enough bio-mass to start the development of the dragon. The arm is severed painlessly, and shrinks into a seed about the size a grape. This is what must be planted. Of course, losing an arm is a pretty serious thing, especially in the heat of battle, and this problem is compounded by the fact that the dragon doesn't appear right away. It takes a full post for it to incubate before emerging, during which the user experiences massive fatigue, and is missing an arm. In NDE threads, the arm is assumed to be healed at the end of the thread, but in DE threads, the loss is permanent, and cannot be healed by anything ever for any reason, period.

Technique Type: [Genesis Art]
Usable By (Technique is available to which races?): [Kasumi’Oji Shinigami and Rogues]
Technique Element: [Life]
Technique Description and Effects (Explain appearance, powers, and effect): [Insert Below]
The second level of Deius is much more potent than the first. By using all but one unit of their life force for 24 hours, the user can create life. Their desired creature cannot exceed the size of a normal human, but they can design it as they like. 2000 SP may be distributed to the product of Deius, though it cannot be placed in Energy Sensory, Spiritual Pressure, Reiatsu Strength, or Healing Expertise and there are no stat caps or types available to the creature. It has no Light or Dark Aura. It is not human and does not possess human mental capabilities. The creature is a monster with animalistic instincts and fickle loyalty to its creator, although if the creator shows obvious weakness, it can just as easily turn on the user and devour him. If the user is successful, they will have created a powerful pet that can live alongside them and aid in battle.

Technique Drawbacks (Limitations, repercussions for use, etc) (Insert Below)
First of all, Deius requires at least 600 HE and a 3 in Science to learn, and it must be mastered to be used. As written above, it puts the user in a weakened state where they only have 1 Life Force until they complete their technique. Deius must be used in a thread for the product to form, and at least 20 paragraphs must go into the creation of the monster. Furthermore, unless the user has protection, the product of Deius will take advantage of the weakened user and kill them instantly after completing the technique. After all, it does not have human intelligence and will act like an animal on its own. Lastly, the product of Deius has no spiritual capabilities. One who learns this technique may only have one active product of Deius at a time. If they attempt to create a second monster using this technique while the first one is already alive, the user will die.

Technique Name: [Genesis Art: Imperium]
Class: [1]
Technique Type: [Genesis Art]
Usable By (Technique is available to which races?): [Kasumi’Oji Shinigami and Rogues]
Technique Element: [Life]
Technique Description and Effects (Explain appearance, powers, and effect): [Insert Below]
This technique is for those who seek power and are willing to sacrifice themselves to acquire it briefly. It is for the desperate and, by extension, the dangerous. For that reason, it is a secret Kasumi’Oji technique that only the heads of the family have clearance to even learn of and give clearance for others to learn, though the situation would have to be extremely dire for the heads to permit the use of Imperium. It is to be a last resort when there is no other option.
Imperium works as a pseudo release. However, unlike a bakkoto, it only has one level: Level 0. The user is granted one ability only, which will vary from user to user much like each bakkoto grants different powers. The ability depends on the nature of the user and will compliment their soul perfectly. However, the strength of Imperium isn’t simply that it gives a temporary release. Moreso, Imperium doesn’t grant a class 1 ability. The temporary powers are considered class 1^1, meaning that they are treated as one above class 1 for the purpose of a clash of abilities. This makes Imperium more powerful than releases, giving the user the edge in combat necessary to overcome their opponents. None who have witnessed the use of Genesis Art: Imperium are alive to tell of it.
How to use technique (How is it activated?): [Insert Below]
Channel reiatsu and life force to create a desired physical form of Imperium (weapon, armor, accessory, etc.).
Technique Drawbacks (Limitations, repercussions for use, etc) (Insert Below)
While Imperium grants the user incredible power, its drawbacks are enough of a deterrent to prevent most who know of the technique from utilizing it. Firstly, Imperium cannot be used alongside a release. In fact, Imperium is a release killer. If the user possesses a release and uses Imperium, the release will die and cannot return until the user completes a 2-page long recovery thread training for their release. For Shinigami who use Imperium while they possess a release, even after this training, they will only have unlocked shikai. They must reapply for bankai with new threads. Technique Masters and Kenpachi do not have the spiritual control to use Imperium at all. Thus, only those who have had their releases stolen from them and hope to win it back are desperate enough to use Imperium at all.
Imperium costs 800 reiatsu and 800 life force. It lasts for 10 posts, much like a zanpakuto. At the end of the tenth post, the user’s life force will suddenly drop to 1 and their reiatsu will be cut in half. Imperium will tax their stamina as though they had been sprinting for the duration of the technique, leaving them tired, low of reiatsu, out of life force, and vulnerable to attack. If the user fails to accomplish what they desire with Imperium, they will be unable to defend themselves for at least one full post. their weapon to turn into a parasite and consume them, killing the user instantly. Once Imperium is used, it may never be used again. If the user attempts to reactivate it at any point, the weapon they spawn will turn into a parasite and consume them, killing the user instantly.
Anyone who learns Imperium must have their powers created upon learning the technique and submitted for grading as an attachment to Imperium. Once the mods approve the power, they can then use Imperium.
