A run-down asylum seemed a reasonable place to find hollows. Or so her thought process has surmised when she had made her way to the strange facility. Having intended on getting in on her first hollow kill, she was dissappointed when it turned out to be a ghosted facility. That normally stern expression showing the signs of dissappointment in response to her findings.
Kneelin down, she sorted through some of the rubble and was surprised when she noticed that there were footprints in the dust. Perhaps there were hobos living here or something. She would have to make sure to make a mental note to check on the facility again in a few months. Large ad it was she had a feeling a run-down place like this was just ripe for death by exposure.
Shifting her attention to one of the grime-smeared windows she could not help but feel a hit.... Out if place. Something about these ruins was perturbing her. Earlier she had thought shed sensed some strong presence in here. But as it turned out she couldnt sense anything. A furrowing of her brows as she slowly rose back up to her feet. A moment later she took a moment to draw her weapon, considering opening a senkaimon back to the soul society when she suddenly felt he presence again. And being so close she suddenly felt how large its oresaure was, her own spiritual pressure beginning to suddenly rise shakily as she became a bit.... Nervous.
"Who is there?."
It was the work of a moment for that soiritual pressure to build, eyes narrowing as shw shifted. She was hardly discrete. With that bright red skin, piercing and ee catching even with just the bare patches that showed on her rather conservative shinigami uniform of hers. She was no thief or assassin, all she could do was stand there and be obvious.

Training for CTP
Keira was deep in the western wing of her decaying, asylum home. She would be deep in thought going over some plans for a machine that would be able to convert normal energy, solar, hydro, electricity, into reiatsu energy. It was what she was working on before she had became a failure. In fact she could say that it was the prototype of this device that caused it all to happen, but then it would only be half true. Though the resulting explosion caused by the devise was what caused her to became so unstable, it was the fact the someone had tampered with it that caused it to explode in the first place. She knew it was sabotage, her calculations were perfect.
She was always just short of paranoid when it came to work as a scientist even back when she was a fullbringer, but that was only natural for someone like her to keep an eye on her work at all times, and if anyone tries to intrude upon her, she would defend her work. Keira straightened up feeling someone entering the asylum she calls a lab. She put the pen down on the drafting table growling in irritation. Why now of all time to show up? He growled irritatingly. She straightened in her seat popping her back slightly, as she was slouched over. She got up and briskly walked out of the room she used for drafting plans. She sensed the intruder in the central part of the asylum.
She briskly walked past the mounds of ruble and scrap making her way from the west wing to the central dome. She looked down from the second floor balcony scanning the dark floor below her with her bright pink eyes. She saw a shinigami searching around the place. She didn't know what she was looking for, but Keira was planning on putting a stop to it right now. It seemed that the shinigami had also sensed she was there. She saw the shinigami look around. It felt that she was nervous. Keira couldn't help but laugh a little to herself. It seemed that even shinigami know fear. That was a good thing indeed. "Who is there?." The shinigami would call out.
"That is something I should be asking Shinigami!" Keria shouted down at her. She looked at her with glaring pink eyes. Her arms crossed in front of her chest. "Why are you here invading my asylum of knowledge?" She demanded to know what her purpous was. Was she sent there to try and assassinate her, or was she just there out of curiosity? It didn't matter which answer she was given. The result will be the same. She will drive the shinigami from her home. She waited for the shinigami's response. The failure never let the shinigami out of her sight not for an instant. "Speak quickly. I am not very patient with intruders."

The very idea of a thought that began with 'even shinigami felt...' would have been a joke to Nola at the time being. Pausing as she spotted the woman approach, she actually relaxed slightly. The woman's reiatsu was rather intense, but she was nothing that would kill her with presence alone. Rubbing lightly at her throat, Nola took a soft breath and gently rubbed along the side of her face, only several seconds ticking by before she suddenly realized that the woman did not seem at all interested in her skin. She had actually already opened her mouth to respond to the usual queries. But it seemed that would not be necessary.
Already starting to like the gal.
"I apologize. I sensed a large spiritual pressure around here and mistook it for a hollow's." She stated honestly, her voice surprisingly crisp and unafraid despite her quaking spiritual pressure, already she recognized the woman, and were she not on the clock she might have actually smiled in rememberance, unaware that deep in her soul, Nillia was fiddling away with her memories. Memories that would help her fight if necessary.
"I didn't expect to see you here. I have no......intention of disrupting this facility." She noted softly, eyeing her surroundings and wondering just how much of this stuff was even functional. For a brief little moment she looked at Keira....and she wondered. Wondered what the girl had gone through to get here. Wondered what sort of life it was, to hang around the place. With how dirty she was it was obvious that she lived here, obvious that she was alone. And...lightly, Nola took a step toward them. Strangely she had a very positive aura. Frightened as she seemed, her spiritual pressure was.....calming.
"My name is Nola bye the way. Are you.....alright?" The woman hardly looked very well of. She looked a bit worse for wear infact even compared to Nola's somewhat disheveled uniform from being down around in the rubble and such. She felt compelled to try and help the girl. It wasn't often she found humans with such spiritual intensity around an abandoned facility. She doubted she would be able to uproot the girl from the place, even now she could tell that the girl wanted firmly to protect the place, so she would have to do what she could.

Keira watched the woman beneath her relax slightly. It seemed that for once, someone was actually somewhat happy to see her there. She wasn't sure why she was starting to relax, but she was not going to see what she was doing here. It was better than what he gave most people that stumbled onto her and the asylum. Keira did note the peculiar color of the woman’s skin. It was not the kind of red from staying in the sun for too long, it was a deep crimson color. Between that and her white hair, she definitely was rather odd looking for a Shinigami, but then again she was one to talk with her near pure white skin, and pink hair.
"I apologize. I sensed a large spiritual pressure around here and mistook it for a hollow's." Keira burst out into laughter when the Shinigami said that. Her laughter echoed throughout the empty halls of the dead asylum. The fact that someone confused her for a hollow was just too good. Keira had to actually wipe tears from her eyes. It was the first time that she had any tears in her eyes since she first woke up in the asylum all those years ago. “I am sorry, that is just too good” She said in between fits of laughter. It took a moment for her to compose herself. “I apologize; I don’t get that very often.” She is rarely in a good mood, but she was in rare high spirits this night.
"I didn't expect to see you here. I have no......intention of disrupting this facility." Keira let out the last few chuckles out before she took a deep breath and calmed herself. She used her flood ability to raise a flood arm out of the ground floor. It rose up just under the railing. The arm is a fifteen foot, purplish, black arm made out of her own reiatsu. The long fingers ended in long claws like some sort of beast’s. She maneuvered herself slowly over the railing and into the palm of the hand. Once she was ready, it lowered her down to the ground floor. It was much more convenient than having to take the stairs all the time. Her feet hit the ground lightly, as she disembarked off the arm. It remained in the background so it wouldn’t threaten the Shinigami
“Well you may still be an unexpected visitor, but you are the most amusing one that I have had in a long time.” She said smiling a broad smile. She looked up into the Shinigami’s eyes trying to determine if she was lying or not. She seemed to be telling the truth. She couldn’t really tell if someone was lying or not just by looking at them, but there is always small tells that everyone does when they are lying. She seemed to be sincere enough. Though if she does try to attack her, she can easily send the arm already summoned at her, as well as summon many more without hesitation. She was far from defenseless at any time.
"My name is Nola by the way. Are you.....alright?" Keira cocked her head to the side not really understanding what the woman was asking. She was glad that she introduced himself, that was a good sign at least. Keira arched her eyebrow wondering what she was going on about. "My name is Keira Bright. What makes you think that….” She stopped when it finally dawned on her. “Oh you mean all this.” She said motioning to all her. From her dirty, tattered, white dress, to her slight to moderately malnourished body. “I am alright. It just comes with being abandoned in this asylum for decades.” She shrugged and smiled nonchalantly.

Nola blinked, her eyes suddenly wide as she heard the woman's response, of....laughter. And she admitted it was.....a bit funny she supposed. That the womn would be so confused for a thing, she wondered if she herself were confused for one at some point. She couldn't help it. Keira managed to do something that was rather rare. She managed to shift Nola out of work mode, a smile spreading across her face. There were no hollows to take care of, and even if this woman turned out to be a fullbringer or even a Mod Soul, she was fairly sure that they weren't dangerous.
She allowed herself a small chuckle as well, brushing her hair back as she visibly relaxed and indeed seemed like quite a different person. Her strict and proper stance, that serious expression, all of it melted away into some means of rather smooth confidence. And why shouldn't she be? The woman was pleasant, there were no hollows about, and she was feeling fairly well at this point. Relaxing, she leaned to the side, watching the woman as they responded to her second query. NAmely with a bit of perplexion.
However the response wiped the smile right off of her face. Namely that she had been abandoned in the place. And for just a moment, her mind went dark as it pulled up the memories she had assocated with such things. The times she had been left to die on assigmnents. When she had been human. Or more stringently. The time she had been left....and had actually died. That held a bit more weight in her chest, and for just a moment she felt a stinging in her eyes, and.....depending on how perceptive KEira was....her....perception of just how tough Nola was, would be shifted.
For just a few moments, Nola looked bery much like she was about to cry. As memories of her rather traumatic death slipped into her mind. And she imagined what it must have been like for Keira. What it must have been like to go through that. The lonliness. The pain. Being left to die was no simple thing. But....she managed to pull it through. Composing herself, she gave a sheepish bit of a smile, as if aware that she had almost started sobbing infront of the failure.
"I see......So.... If you don't mind me asking....why are you still here?" She murmured as she looked around. Knowing she might be touching on sensitive ground, but still feeling the compulsion. "Whatever this place was, it's gone now. If there's only you....why not find someplace else? Someplace.....you don't have to think about what happened." That last bit ringing perhaps a bit too sincerely, a tone not of just suggestion, but personal experience.
Nola, like so many others that were.....insane....was not fully aware that she was. Or rather unaware of what it was that made her insane. And while she had not yet.....triggered, the thing that made her go a bit frayed, she was certainly getting close. Combat primarily being the issue, but from time to time, her zanpaku't spirit, who was slowly waking up, would find other reason to....take the reigns. And right now Nillia had her eye open, ready to intervene if need be. But for now doing no such thing.

Keira did notice that when she made the comment that she had been abandoned in the asylum, The shinigami, Nola, seemed quite shaken. Keira can be said to be very unsympathetic about other people. She considers her wants and needs far above those of other people. It was true. She will not dispute that. That did not however make Keira a heartless person. She might try to ask about something personal to better understand what they are thinking, but she will never dig at something for the sake of bringing up bad memories to hurt someone. She may be a blunt, possessive, single minded, almost cruel scientist, but there were lines not even she will cross.
Keira can see that her statement must have brought back some pretty black memories indeed. The once stoic shinigami was now on the verge of crying. It almost made her own heart sink. She always had to remain on guard, she won't let herself get too emotionally invested in anything that easily. Keira knew the basics of what a shinigami is from her fight with that other one. A person that once lived like she did who had died one way or another. They go to the afterlife and those with sufficient spiritual powers become the protectors of the afterlife, and the world of the living. That was about it when it comes to her knowledge. Nola must have had a traumatic abandonment just like her.
Keria could tell that they were different in some regards just by there limited interaction thus far. It seems that Nola was far more open with her emotions than Keira was. At least when it comes to emotions like sadness and the like. Keira had taken a different path of dealing with them. She buried them deep in her heart burying any negative feelings with knowledge. She keeps herself distracted so she will not have to face them. It may not be the best solution, but it was working for the time being. When they do threaten to surface, she hides it with anger. Her sharp tongue and rage keep anyone from seeing her true feeling. Which was for the best.
"I see......So.... If you don't mind me asking....why are you still here?" Keira's eye narrowed thinking back as to why she decided to stay here. There were many reasons. Some more objective than others. Was it that this place just grew on her despite the memories? Who can say at this point. Keira didn't care. "Whatever this place was, it's gone now. If there's only you....why not find someplace else? Someplace.....you don't have to think about what happened." This Shinigami's insistence on memories was now starting to get on her nerves. Keira's smile was slowly fading into a glare of annoyance. Though she did keep her anger in check.
"I can choose not to remember while I am still here." She replied bluntly. "From what I am able to gather on your Soul Society, they also would not want a spiritual equivalent of a walking nuke to be among a densely populated area." He stook a breath and reached into the pocked of the dress. She left her lab coat in the drafting room. She still had what she needed. She had some jolly ranchers in her pocket. She unwrapped a blue berry flavored one and popped it into her mouth. She took another random one out of her pocked offering it to Nola a smirk returning to her face. "Besides, I enjoy the privacy that the location gives me. Lets me focus on my work.
"I can tell that this is a touchy subject for both of us. Why don't we change the subject, and find a place to relax." She turned walking deeper into the main dome. She was sure that Nola would fallow her. She would lead them both to the cafeteria. Most of the tables have been destroyed over the years, but there were a few tables that Keira had managed to scavenge back to workable condition. Between the material she could find in the asylum, and the stuff she steals from the town the rare times she goes out, she manages to make do. She sat down and offered Nola to sit down beside her. "I do wonder though. What is your Soul Society like?" She asked leaning her forward with her elbows of the table.
Nola smiled softly at that, nodding her head as she looked around, considering what the woman had told her and chuckling lightly to herself. "I don't mean to laugh but.... It's just.....weird seeing a different side to all this...." She murmured. That she so liked privacy.....the ability to work in solitude. And that she would allow soul society to dictate where she want. That last part was a little familiar.... she couldn't help but imagine what that must have been like.
"I don't think I could handle being all alone. I never even wanted to be a shinigami, but... I made a deal to......well....I made a deal." She murmured softly, closing her eyes as she slowly shook her head. She imagined the sorts of things she'd done in the past.....before finally her mind snapped back to where they were. "I'm with you. A place to relax sounds good." She noted with a fond look in the woman's direction, about to let them lead the way when she suddenly realized.
"Wow....sorry I um... Didn't get your name. Not often I forget to ask something like that from pretty girls." She chuckled jokingly, and as if in response to that lame joke, a sudden spiritual pressure shunted into the both of them, suddenly making itself known. Nola halting in place as she glanced toward the windows, as outside a voice blared out in a commanding tone. "FIRE!" Before suddenly bright blue arrows burst through the glass and struck up into the ceiling, down below other arrows could be felt slicing into the side of the building as well.
Outside, three quincy could be seen, two of them firing upon the building as one stood back, letting the other two focus, keeping his wits about him. From her spot she could only just see them, immediately her hand moving to her weapon as she looked to Kiera. Normally she would look to her commanding officer, but she was all alone out here, all alone except for Kiera. So....she looked to them for leadership and instructions, she would have to be the one to decide how they handled this. But even so, it was clear that Nola was with her.

"Wow....sorry I um... Didn't get your name. Not often I forget to ask something like that from pretty girls." Keira was glad that she had her back to Nola. If she was facing her, the girl would no doubt see the additional color that made it's way to her cheeks. She understood it was a joke, but still, no one had complimented her, and meant it in her opinion. She forced herself to calm down before turning back to face. her. "Sorry most people just show up and cause trouble I don't even think about introducing myself." She laughed lightly in embarrassment. "My name is Keira Bright. It is good to say, that it is good to meet you, for once.
Keira also sensed the growing reiatsu concentration. At first she didn't what was about to happen, but when the command to fire was heard, Keira acted on instinct. She summoned two more arms, and brought the one she already had close in quickly. The three arms fanned over them covering them completely from the falling debris and any arrows that would have found them otherwise. Keira looked over at Nola to see her looking at her, as if she was asking what to do. The fact that these intruders were attacking her lab was enough to throw her into a complete rage. She had to reign herself in. She was dealing with projectile users.
"Looks like these bastards want to play hard ball. Lets give them hell Nola." Once there was a break in the volley, Keira would hop into one of her hands, and motion for Nola to do the same. Once she was on board the hands would race off though the nearest exit and make their way to the trio of Quincys. When they were a few yards away, Keira stood up boldly glaring down at the three of them. "Who the hell do you think you are attacking my labratory!?" She demanded crossing her arms in front of her chest. The other arms flanked the one that she, and Nola would be on. She glared at them waiting to see if intimidation would work or not.
