Thread Title: Test Fight: Show Me Your Moves Participants: Kimiko Shihoin, Aiko Shiba World: Soul Society Death Setting: Non Death Enabled Rating: R Location: Right outside the barracks of Squad 7. Everyone but Kimiko and Aiko has cleared the area, due in a two part combination to the fact that Aiko's identity and occupation is a secret, and the collateral damage from the two of them punching is enough to kill people within 100 feet. Special Conditions: Losing character buys the winner sushi. Aiko has first post. Circumstances: Aiko Shiba has taken an interest in Kimiko Shihoin. Partly due to the girl's similarity to her, way back when Aiko was a vice captain, and partly due to the fact that Kimiko is rich and capable of buying Aiko the sushi she wants. So, Aiko descended from the heavens in order to offer Kimiko a once in a lifetime opportunity: a chance to spar with a Zero Division.

Innovation is the soul of strength. No matter how strong you are, if you are incapable of innovating, you will lose to those who are capable. And no matter how weak you are, if you can innovate, you have endless potential that can grow into a powerhouse like the rest of the world had never seen before. That is Aiko's creed, and is her primary reason for research. She collects information, collects data, not to serve herself, but to serve Soul Society.
She discovers gems amongst dirt, brushes off diamonds, and renders them things of beauty. And that is what led her to to Squad 7 barracks, wrapped in a reiatsu suppressing cloak, to meet with the Captain of the Squad. Back when Aiko was a Vice Captain, second to only Saix Shinra in Squad 11, she was a potent hand to hand fighter, with incredible strength and speed, but lacked the versatility to truly render her in the top tier. By the time she became a Captain, she had fixed that, and was in the top Six captains instantly.
In some ways, Kimiko reminded Aiko of herself, back when she was a Vice Captain. She was a diamond in the rough. She had potential. She was a physical fighter, with a fair bit of versatility, whose limits were unknown, but clearly holding her back. Aiko intended to fix this, to train her, although she didn't have the time to do so long term. Instead, she planned on just a single fight. One fight was all that Aiko needed to teach Kimiko her limits, and how to bypass them.
Plus, helping out another noble always was a good idea. They were very much capable of buying her exorbitant amounts of sushi, which was a plus. Aiko didn't tell Kimiko any real details, but simply sent her a letter, marked with the seal of the Soul King, requesting that she dismiss her troops for the day, and meet her in the nearby sparring grounds. Kimiko didn't know about the secret Zero Division, but Aiko would teach her in due time.

Kimiko was at the moment sitting down in the barracks of the seventh division. All she had been able to do for the last two days straight was go over paper work. It seemed that instead of training and developing their connections with their zanpakuto or even furthering their own potential all the Shinigami planned to do was keep getting drunk and causing problems. Kimiko had sent out her squad about an hour ago a third of them were out scouting through the Seireitei while the others were out in varies sections of Rukongai. Kimiko had to establish absolute order in Soul Society and while it seemed like a far off goal it was one that would soon be achieved.
Kimiko hadn't intended on sending out her squad today though. In fact she had prepared to have all of them go through a rigorous training exercise today. She needed her squad to be the most capable of every squad in order to assure herself that no matter what they would always be able to keep order throughout Soul Society. That plan though had been pushed back when Kimiko had received a letter. This letter had struck her immediate attention when she saw the seal of the Soul King.
Kimiko had read the letter and knew from that someone or something was coming to meet with her. Kimiko didn't know why or really even what was going on, but knew that whatever it was it was above her knowledge and head even if she was a Captain. So following the instructions of the letter Kimiko had sent all of her squad to the varies areas that she wanted attention focused on at this moment in time. The letter had told her to await whatever was coming in the nearby sparring grounds that Kimiko used to train her troops. So for the moment that's where she was awaiting whatever was coming.
She sat there in a state of peace for the moment. Kimiko wasn't a very spiritual person and while when she had been first a Shinigami all she did was focus on her physical strength she now was trying to be more open to other things. For the moment while she awaited in the training ground she was meditating. Her legs crossed in front of her and her elbows resting on her knees. Her hands were closed into fists and touching together in front of her stomach as her chest hardly moved. The only thing that was moving was her stomach just enough for air to enter and leave her lungs as she rested for the moment attempting to fight of her anxiousness.

"Stand up, Captain of the Seventh Division." The voice that appeared from nowhere would shake Kimiko, with the simple commanding nature of it. It was an aspect of command that was rarely seen even amongst the members of the Gotei 13. It was a voice cultivated by years of practice and battle training. It was the voice of Aiko Shiba, the woman who was Baptized By Hell. She had suddenly appeared in front of Kimiko, perhaps twenty paces away, as if by magic.
It wasn't by magic, of course, but rather technology. Aiko had a grey cloak that suppressed her reiatsu and concealed her presence, and had removed it now in order to reveal herself, tossing it lightly away a short distance. With a smile on her face, and a slight cock of her head, she asked "Kimiko, right? My name is Aiko. You're too young to remember me, I used to be a Captain a few centuries ago. I served alongside of Okami, in fact. I'm here to test you."
It was simple, it was direct, and with that, the pleasantries were done. Aiko would wait long enough for Kimiko to respond, if she needed to, and to compose herself, and then the battle began. Aiko made the conscious decision to start off light, to warm up and get a feel for Kimiko's limits. After all, this was a teaching moment, not an actual combat scenario. Aiko's hand blurred into motion, and she delivered a simple Karate chop, slicing at the air in between Kimiko and her.
The shockwave created would rush forward towards Kimiko, slicing things in it's path apart. It was as if a Kenpachi type had slashed with a sword, and released a full force attack. That was Aiko's idea of a playful starting gesture, a karate chop that could have cut most Espada in half. With a smile on her face, she was interested in seeing how Kimiko would counter it, or if she would dodge. How was she planning on standing up to a Royal Guardsman?

The intense meditation that Kimiko had finally gotten herself into was quickly broken through by a voice that Kimiko felt was similar to that of the Captain Commander. It wasn't the voice of an older male or even a male at all that wasn't how she felt it was similar. No there was experience and authority in the voice and something else that just made her think of the old man. When Kimiko opened her eyes and looked out she saw the appearance of a woman about her size taking off a grey cloak. Kimiko assumed this to be whoever was sent to meet with her on behalf of the Soul King so she took the moment to stand upright with her hands crossed over her stomach.
The woman proved to be much like herself in her address. She seemed to speak with the authority that she held got right to the point after giving her introduction. So she knew that she was Kimiko just by looking at her and her name was Aiko. A former Captain of which squad she didn't state. What she did feel the need to include was that she served with Okami while he had been a Captain. Well the Captain of the Second division now he was in a better suited division Kimiko thought. Aiko didn't need to bring up her cousin though Kimiko was tired of always being compared to him even if he had her respect and love she was her own person.
"I am Kimiko. If you're here to test me then let's get on with it. I'm not Okami I won't stand here talking while things need to be done." Kimiko cracked her neck to the sides and then got into her position. Her right leg sliding backwards while the left took care of balance and her arms prepared to strike or defend at any moment. It was only a moment later that Kimiko saw Aiko move her hand and knew that she was in for a fight that even Haunzu hadn't prepared her for yet. The shockwave that Aiko created from her karate chop rushed forwards at Kimiko. The heir to the Shihoin Family slide to the side rotating her body off her right leg moving clockwise out of the path of the shockwave.
It took her a fraction of a second to maneuver herself roughly three feet from where she had been standing which right now as she made the full spin was being cut across by the shockwave. Kimiko's eyes locked on Aiko and as they did she raised her right leg maneuvering her left backwards slightly as her right crept upwards to the height of her chest while her body leaned backwards. Kimiko brought her leg across the air with all her force creating her own shockwave which would travel through the air horizontally towards Aiko.

Kimiko had slid easily out of the way of Aiko's shockwave, and the manner of her movement, and the speed of it, was instantly recorded and stored within the great mind of the Combat Librarian. From that information, Aiko would begin her assessment of Kimiko, and rapidly analyze her style until she knew Kimiko's move before Kimiko did. It was one based largely on physical speed, and (judging by the shockwave that she was preparing to launch) physical strength. It was influenced by acrobatic skill, and seemed to have hints of Hakuda training mixed in.
All of that information was obtained and assessed in a second or two at most. As Kimiko's foot began to fall, Aiko was already in motion, utilizing Reduced Earth Steps in order to close the gap between the two of them at a shocking 3000 speed. That was roughly as fast as many Captains could Shunpo, although Kimiko's speed would allow her to track the movement, and keep up with it as long as she was willing to use a step technique.
However, Aiko had chosen to attack Kimiko in the middle of Kimiko executing a move, appearing inside her guard, to the right of her right leg, which was just now coming to the ground. It was in the process of sending a shockwave down the fighting arena, a potent maneuver, no doubt. Unfortunately for Kimiko, Aiko simply saw it as an opportunity. Although Aiko was on the right side of Kimiko, her right foot snaked around Kimiko's back and struck her in the soft tissue behind her left knee.
Kimiko's knee would give way, there was no other option. The strength difference, and the selected target, was too potent. On top of that, right now, Kimiko was balancing entirely on that one foot. Sure, she had acrobatic skill, and so this attack wouldn't be as lethal as it could be for other targets, but she would be sent off balance, and most likely stumbling forward as she tried to recover by standing on her left foot. Would Aiko allow her to? Would she exploit this advantage? That was to be determined. This movement was a test, like the other attack, and Aiko simply wanted to see if Kimiko could pass.

It seemed that the exchange of shockwaves wasn't going to be anything simple during this fight. As Kimiko began to swift her right leg across the air preparing to cause her own shockwave that would soar through the air at Aiko she started to move at a speed that Kimiko knew immediately was due to Shukuchi-Ho. Aiko was moving fast enough that it only took a moment for her to get behind Kimiko and the heir of the Shihoin knew that there were only a handful of options left at her disposal to deal with what was obviously about to happen.
Aiko was inside of Kimiko's attack in all actually right now she was behind her right leg. Kimiko had moved her head while Aiko had moved and could see that based on the language of her body that the attack was going to come from her leg. Aiko wanted to play by using her body. Fine that's the best way possible and Kimiko knew this was going to start being more fun then any fight she had undergone in her life from that moment onward. While Aiko moved her leg to strike Kimiko's left foot pushed off the ground moving her whole body to the right using Shukuchi-Ho to out speed Aiko's strike.
Kimiko was now right in front of Aiko yet her right leg was still high up in the air. Instead just as she arrived in front of Aiko her left elbow came backwards in an attempt to land a blow to Aiko's face. Whether it connected or not didn't matter. Kimiko expected Aiko to evade either by maneuvering her head to the side her body out of the way or actually grabbing ahold of her elbow. It didn't matter for her body was already in motion as he elbow went backwards. Kimiko would suddenly hop off the ground and flip bringing her right leg down towards where Aiko was located planning to kick her from above.
