Work, work, work. Life was all about work. Marcus lived for work, he worked for work, and he even rested for work. It’s like Wiz Khalifa’s song, Work Hard Play Hard, except without the last part. No, Marcus didn’t get a chance to play. Kazura needed a business representative, one who knew the company’s numbers forwards and backwards. And because Marcus handled much of the corporation’s finances, it he was the man for the job. Therefore, he was sent for an inter-corporation conference held in the heart of San Francisco.
It was boring work, and one that more social people would perhaps like. All of the rich aristocrats and high-class business representatives of California were to be attending, and socially awkward Marcus would be expected to socialize with them. Just the thought of it made him sweat through his midnight blue dress shirt over which he wore a charcoal suit jacket and pants. The breast pocket had a silver crescent attached, the same symbol that was molded on his cufflinks. Marcus had a solid black, silk tie to wrap the suit together, along with a black belt and polished, dark dress shoes.
Marcus’s evening was dreadful. He barely spoke a word, and mostly pretended to mingle in large groups, where he had much less of a chance of being noticed. The Fullbringer often found himself thinking of Harle, longing for her warm embrace and the soft touch of her lips on his. But she was otherwise occupied in Soul Society, while he was tied down in the human world. Her absence only made him feel more alone, and he often found himself staring blankly at a wall as events commenced around him as he daydreamed about the acrobat.
But Marcus knew his true mission. Kazura wouldn’t send his top Uzaki Enterprise agent somewhere unless it was essential that he be there. There was a high number of Hollow outbreaks in the bay area, so the high population-density city of San Francisco would be a perfect place to begin eliminating the hollow threats. Marcus had no energy sensory ability, so he couldn’t be relied on to actually find the hollows. Therefore, Kazura equipped his agent very well. Marcus’s cell phone would notify him of the presence of any Hollows within a radius of fifty miles. It wasn’t very accurate, but it gave him the general information he required.
Now, Marcus was exhausted by the end of his party. Very few things wear him down so much mentally, and at midnight, he passed out on the hotel bed a good twenty floors high. The rest was well needed, and Marcus got to see little flashes of Harle’s face in his dreams, though he could never remember exactly what he envisioned. The mysterious sniper also appeared randomly at one point, and, from point-blank range, fired into Marcus’s temple, ending the dream with a jolt.
As Marcus leaped out of unconsciousness, a nearby buzzing instantly caught his attention. His phone was beeping. Hollows had been detected. It was time to spring into action. Marcus changed into the carbon fiber plated black battle suit he wore, with the wide streak of midnight blue across his chest. His eyes were covered by a dark visor that only hid part of his face and didn’t obscure his vision at all. Strapped to his waist were a pouch containing kunai and two Eskrima sticks.
Marcus exited the hotel using air ground, sprinting over the buildings at a comfortable pace as he headed toward the Golden Gate Bridge, where the Hollows appeared. When he was nearing the location, however, two of the three Hollows that were detected suddenly disappeared, signifying that someone had gotten there first. The situation was dangerous, for Marcus was unsure whether he had encountered friend of foe.
The Fullbringer would have to be cautious. At the opening of the bridge, he began scaling the metallic tubes that arched up to the towers over the bridge, allowing him to observe the battle that raged on beneath him. The individual he encountered could perhaps be a threat, so Marcus may have to eliminate him. It was unfortunate for the man, being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Marcus almost felt bad if this would be the case, but he was going to follow Kazura’s orders to hell and back. And with Marcus's suppressed reiatsu signature and high skill with stealth, his opponent wouldn't even see it coming. Marcus was a ghost.

Well yet another mission in an attempt to take out and find more information on the Vandenreich Empire. Asmoskon was getting more and more consumed by the drive to simply take out higher positioned Quincy inside the plague of an Empire. He barely had any time to relax now due to having nearly no free time at all. Between training Nonna and taking on assignments to increase the small fortune that he had built up for taking out other targets Asmoskon only slept on planes while on route to a mission.
Over the last twenty four hours he had been in San Francisco tracking down a Vandenreich Quincy that was handling business transactions with various human companies. Asmoskon had gotten the identity and location of this man after capturing and torturing a couple of young recruits that didn’t seem like they truly wanted to speak. However, loyalty only gave someone so much strength and in time it seemed no matter how much one soul had it could be broken.
He had been unable to fine a time suitable to strike down the Vandenreich Quincy for the majority of his time yet around lunch time he had been able to follow the man into a bathroom in a business building a few dozen stories above ground level. The battle had been brief and Asmoskon had done his best to prevent the Quincy from making too much noise. It had resulted in the bathroom being abandoned and half destroyed. He had captured the Vandenreich and taken him from the bathroom into a back room that no one seemed to give attention.
There the renegade Quincy who now worked within the ranks of Xcution tortured the Vandenreich cutting his body apart slowly while searching information on any locations and other Quincy that followed the Emperor. It was about an hour in when Asmoskon figured that all the information was withdrawn from the pathetic man. He had already lost his right arm and had been injured so severely in his legs that even if he survived he wouldn’t be able to walk again. Choosing to leave Asmoskon had ended the man with an arrow through his skull.
After that had been taken care of Asmoskon planned to take on another assignment right away and after speaking with his informant he was informed of a rather powerful Fullbringer by the name of Marcus Cole. There wasn’t much detail other then the name and race of this target so Asmoskon wasn’t sure on whether or not to actually take the assignment. That was until after he found out that there was information on the man being in the same city as him.
Asmoskon had decided to take on the assignment since he wouldn’t need to leave the city. He did know that it’d be best to rest his body after his endeavor with the other Quincy. So he had gone to a hotel room and rented a room for a few hours. One thing though had led to another when a college girl in the lobby spotted him and it ended with Asmoskon getting little sleep in the room he had rented. After the exploration of yet another female in an attempt to keep his mind from the image of his betrayer Asmoskon was granted a slight slumber.
He had awakened in the midst of night with the female laying in bed asleep next to him. Asmoskon knew that in order to take out the target he had accepted he would need to leave now. As he got dressed though the one eyed Quincy looked down at the girl and for a moment saw only Hotaru laying like she once had back in his apartment. The Quincy shook his head violently and sneered at his own weakness for allowing her back into his mind.
After that Asmoskon had left the hotel and began to make his way through the city on his motorcycle until he reached the Golden Bridge. The Quincy had no talent in sensing Reiatsu yet it was obvious that there were a few hollows on the bridge and that they were going to endanger the normal humans in the city. Asmoskon had gotten off of his bike and made his way to the top of the bridge standing atop one of the gates of the bridge. From that spot the Quincy had easily taken down the hollows from a range.
Luckily for Asmoskon it would be nearly impossible for any normal human to even see him. It wasn’t just because he was standing at the top of one of the two gates yet also the fact that most of his clothing was just as dark as the sky. His clothing hid nearly every aspect of Asmoskon’s personality or what made him different in a physical aspect. The only thing that stood out to anyone would be his eye patch which concealed the lost of his right eye. Other then that was the large tattoo that covered his shoulders, collar bone and throat.
A few moments after Asmoskon had fired off the last arrow from his short bow a gust of wind blew up towards him. At that moment Asmoskon’s pupils dilated becoming slightly smaller as his sense of smell picked up the aroma of a fragrance. Asmoskon immediately came to the conclusion that someone was near him, someone not normal. There was no way that a normal human could get up here without him noticing that left a Shinigami, Arrancar or some Human. “I can’t see you or sense you, but I know your there. Come on out whoever you are.”
Item Name: Ginto Tube 10x Item Type: Weapon (Component) Item Description: At a glance, Ginto tubes do not appear to be much. Small metal tubes with no apparent purpose as a weapon, the trick lies not in what they can do, but what they can allow access to. When the cap on the Ginto tube is twisted off, a glowing liquid is revealed inside; pure spiritual energy, condensed enough to take on a liquid form. This energy is used in combination with a large number of Quincy techniques, and allows them to be used only when an opened tube is present. Each Ginto tube contains enough energy for one technique, regardless of its level, before it is used up.
Item Name: Plasma Blade {Red} 2x Item Type: Weapon Item Description: A silver cylindrical hilt with a small groove that contains a green button and a red button. When the green button is pressed, a powerful blade of refined plasma ignites from the hilt, focused by an outer covering of lasers. This is similar to a Star Wars Lightsaber. The color is up to the user. Pressing the red button turns the weapon off. Asmoskon's Plasma Blades have black hilts and crimson red blades.
Item Name: Arrow Augmenter {Right Wrist} Item Type: Quincy Bracelet Item Description: This small, black bracelet is typically worn around the wrist one of the user’s hands, the one they use to draw back a bowstring. Although technically it can be used by any race, this item is mostly useful for Quincies, as it allows them to fire individual arrows at a significantly heightened speed. For 75 Reitsu, the Quincy can increase the speed of one arrow they fire this post by a flat 200. This ability can be used a maximum of three times per post, and cannot be used on the same arrow. However, the true power of this item comes with Quincies who know a Movement tech. For the cost of the technique, and an additional 150 reitsu in addition to that, they can increase the speed of one arrow per post by a third of the Movement tech’s speed increase.

Hmm, a Quincy… thought the Fullbringer as his ice blue eyes hidden behind his visor examined the stranger with much scrutiny. It was dark so only a couple of details could be made out. It was definitely a man, and he did not appear weak. Marcus had faced a couple of opponents of notable strength such as his co-worker Kitai and the assassin who bested him with a sniper. This person was definitely powerful too, so Marcus wouldn’t be able to treat him like the average Joe and lead off with a straightforward punch. Maybe he needed a strategy for this battle.
Marcus looked back to his battle with the sniper, recalling how difficult it was to fight an unseen opponent. The man was picked off before he knew it, and it took a long time just to locate his enemy. By then, the battle was over and he had lost. It was a pathetic failure, one he had trained over in furious regret and anger at himself, and now it would be a loss that he would learn from. Marcus, being an assassin, was not a stranger to staying unseen. In fact, he was an expert in stealth. The man could move unseen and unheard, reappearing and disappearing much like Batman. He would put these skills to good use against the Quincy.
Marcus typically wasn’t aggressive. In fact, he despised fighting and preferred to avoid it. He hated being the center of attention, and the nagging social anxiety causing panic in the back of his mind made open one-on-one fights annoying. However, Marcus was warned about dangerous Quincy. His dear friend Doctor Heimer had been a Vandenreich deserter because he despised the aggressive nature and ideals of the organization, and so the Fullbringer knew that the Vandenreich was hostile. There was a possibility that this man was a Vandenreich officer, so Marcus decided that he was going to eliminate the potential threat. Call it a preemptive strike, and it was better to be safe than sorry, and killing the possible enemy was the best way to ensure safety.
“ I can’t see you or sense you, but I know your there. Come on out whoever you are.” So the man knew Marcus was there. But how? It’s possible that he had some degree of energy sensory, but Marcus had suppressed his reiatsu so that would be impossible. If his energy sensory was truly sharp enough to detect Marcus’s reiatsu signature, then he’d be able to place the location easily, but that couldn’t be the case because the Quincy was uncertain as to where Marcus was exactly. He only knew that Marcus was nearby. Sight wasn’t an option, and neither could hearing because Marcus moved completely silently, not making a sound at all. Either this man had a power that allowed him to detect Marcus’s presence or he had a moderately strong nose.
Now, the trick was figuring out how to attack a Quincy. Marcus knew little about the race other than they were long-ranged fighters. Most only wielded bows, but there was a possibility that this man had other tricks up his sleeve. Marcus would have to approach with a versatile strategy, one that would allow him to adapt to the situation. It would be best to fight with his fists in this scenario, so his escrima sticks would remain clipped to his waist. Marcus traveled down the tower, making sure that he stayed out of Asmo’s sight.
Continuing to use the tower as cover, Marcus silently jumped off the edge of the bridge and sped at a comfortable pace on air ground just ten feet ounder the brdige’s edge, walking to where Asmo had stood when he last saw him. Because he was traveling lower than the bridge, the wind wouldn’t carry Marcus’s scent any longer, so Asmo would not be able to recognize the Fullbringer’s presence.
When Marcus reached the part of the bridge closest to Asmo’s position, he would just peak his eyes over the edge to get a visual of Asmo. He’d keep out of Asmo’s peripheral vision, and even if he was slightly in the man’s view, Marcus would be impossible to detect. Only the top half of his head was visible, and he blended in with the shadows of the water under the bridge. He was observing, waiting for the perfect moment to inaudibly draw a kunai from his knife and plays it just on the edge of the bridge, letting it sit there. However, before he placed it, he would infuse a small amount for reiatsu into the blade in the form of Ninja Art: Flash, which he could detonate whenever he wants. The placement of the kunai would be delicate and make no sound.
Next, Marcus would drop down below the bridge and travel to the opposite end, before rising up and peeking his head over to check on Asmo’s position and make sure that the man was nearby. If he wasn’t, then Marcus would reposition himself to get as close as possible without setting foot on the bridge yet. So far, the plan was set perfectly. Marcus, when he was prepared, would cover his eyes and activate Ninja Art: Flash. In that second, a bright, blinding light would overwhelm Asmo’s vision and draw his attention. In that moment, when Asmo was focused on the light and his back was likely facing Marcus, the Fullbringer would make his move.
Marcus would leap over the rail suddenly at his maximum speed, which would appear like a blur had he been visible in the dark to the man who’s eyes had just been overhwlmed with light. Asmo should be directed to the light, leaving his back exposed to Marcus. However, if this wasn’t the case, he’d still target Asmo, even if the man began dodging. All Marcus did was step off the ground the instant he silently landed upon the bridge, bolting directly for the man at maximum speed without his feet making no sound as he ran.
Marcus would stay close to the ground while he ran, ensuring to blend into the shadows to the best of his ability while closing the distance. When he reached Asmo, which would take les than a quarter of a second, he would bend really low, placing both feet on the ground to maintain stability, and sweep his foot at Asmo’s ankles to knock him to the ground before he knew what hit him. While one foot went for the kick, the other’s foot stayed stable on the ground, so Marcus could push off of it to get out of trouble if the need be. His goal was to immobilize the man first, and if he succeeded in bringing Asmo to the ground, he would follow it up with a lightning-fast punch to diaphragm to knock the wind out of the man and prevent him from fighting back.
If, and only if this succeeded, Marcus would do something very rare, something he hated to do and only did when absolutely necessary. It was far worse than fighting, and that ‘thing’ that Marcus was so reluctant to do was speak. He had severe social anxiety, so speech itself was a difficult task for him. But the situation made communication necessary for him to figure out exactly who he was dealing with. “Who are you?” If the man wasn’t a Vandenreich Quincy, then maybe Marcus didn’t have to fight and kill him. If he was though, he couldn’t avoid his fate. Marcus would make sure that he never made any trouble for anyone ever again.
