Aurora Guerrero found herself in the desert again. When she wasn't on missions for Horse Man, she found herself coming back here. She never did figure out why she liked the desert so much. She had always figured that she would be more at home in the forest, due to being a tiger. She did like it there, there was no doubt about that, but the desert just held more sway over her than the forest did. She didn't like the bleakness of the desert, but she figured out one thing that probably made the desert bearable.
She looked up. It was the moon. Out here in the plains of the desert, she could see the moon fully, without looking through the foliage of the denser forest. She then stopped and took a good look up at the sky. She seemed to be completely obsessed with the moon now that she's passed on from the human world and into these bleak, dark place called Hueco Mundo. She had wondered if this place was pretty what people referred to as 'Hell' but she heard from whispers in Los Noches that this wasn't it.
If they were actually in 'Hell,' they would see the famed Akki demons and other races that were forged from the flames themselves. She thought about it and it made sense. This, she could think, was almost like a purgatory. Not as horrible as Hell, but not quite as good as Heaven. It was an interesting situation to be in for sure. Since she got all this freedom, she found herself thinking more and more about that and what she actually lost as a human. She always told herself that she didn't need to think about it, but at times like this her mind wandered.
Until she smelled something in the air. She perked up, and started to sniff the air to tell where it was coming from. She looked and saw that it wasn't that far away. It was still a weaker hollow, but when she smelled food, she always got hungry. And now, her stomach was growling, yelling at her to feed it. She shook her head to get rid of the thoughts she shouldn't be thinking about and onto something more important, feeding her yelling stomach. She slowly made her way towards the smell. She did sense it once she got close enough.
She took the high ground, crouching on a dune above her intended prey. It was what looked like some kind of scorpion hollow. It was walking around what looked like a small hole. She was curious, but waited to see what it would do and to try to find a better vantage point closer to it. It didn't notice her, or didn't show that it noticed her. She took the queue and started to walk down the left side of the dune, keeping out of visual range. She slowly walked, until she was able to get on equal ground with the beast.
Once she got on level ground, she moved quickly. Before the scorpion knew it, Aurora was behind it and slashing off its stinger. When it turned to her, her zanpaktou was already unsheathed and she cut off its claws, leaving it defenseless. Since she couldn't completely kill the beast, she left it pinned down to the ground, eating its stinger, minus the part that secretes poison, and its claws. Then, she worked on the rest of the body. By the time she was done, she was gnawing on one of its legs. She sat where the hollow was, licking the blood off of her fingers, growling in contentment.
She spoke out loud to the arrancar in order to get it's attention. It took her a few more moments after setting her eyes on the thing to realize it was a she. Some of these arrancar really were monsters and here was a prime example in front of her. Nasty growls and gnawing on body pieces. Rose could only imagine what other primitive things a creature like this woman did. Rose's face now shifted from one of disgust to an expression of dissatisfaction. With her zanpakuto sheathed and held in her right hand Rose jacked up her right eyebrow, taking in another hoot of the marijuana smoke. "Sloppy and pathetic, I hope you guys all kill each other off." The woman said as a feint grin came on to her face. Poking and prodding this thing could kill some time, not to mention Sangre might enjoy to feed. It all depended on the actions of the thing before Rose, if it didn't decide to cower with its tail between its legs. [/ul]

Aurora was lazily finishing off her meal and cleaning up after herself when she sensed the presence of someone behind her. She knew now, from experience, that the signature definitely belonged to a shinigami, but it was the strongest shinigami that she had ever encountered before. She raised her eyebrow a little, never thinking that a shinigami so powerful would ever want to venture here, since that kind of power would more than likely attract hollows.
But, this shinigami seemed unphased by such things and still ended up here. She smelled a weird smell and smoke on the air while she was breathing and then heard the shinigami say that hollows were nasty beasts. Aurora chuckled to herself about that. This woman was speaking loud enough so she could hear everything that she was saying. Obviously she doesn't like hollow or arrancars for that matter. It made no difference to Aurora, she's heard worse.
She had finished licking her fingers clean and now wiped them on the front of her pelt jacket, making sure that now they were dry. She shook her hands out afterwards, standing up as she did so. She shook her head a few times, feeling her bladed braid move back and forth along her back. She then stretched out her body. She had a feeling that this shinigami wasn't here to come talk to her and she wasn't going to let this shinigami get away with saying all those things either.
She turned around and let her golden eyes glow at this shinigami. She then heard her say that she hoped they killed each other off. She smiled at that, showing off her canine teeth. She growled before saying, "Well shinigami, there will always be more to take their place, since you shinigami let souls slip through your fingertips and they themselves become hollows. The cycle will never end, so you'll have to put up with us a little while longer." She walked a few more steps towards the shinigami and unsheathed her sword. She stood at the ready, waiting to the right moment to strike.
The woman said, leave it to Rose to lecture a beast who probably had no education. The very fact that it was able to speak English was a surprise, but it was still a very dumb beast.
Rose knew very well that there was always going to be evil in the world, thus the cycle will never end. It was a strange circle of the afterlife indeed, but that didn't mean Rose couldn't wish for the hollows to kill themselves off because well... They already were killing themselves off. Intent within Rose was burning like a high that coursed through her body. With Aurora taking a few steps towards Rose a warning had left the captain's lips, it would be the only warning the woman would give. She figured the beast wasn't smart enough to know when the opponent was too strong.
"You think you're tough? Ha! You get this chance to run with your tail between your legs if you're smart. So sheath your blade and cower while you still can." The woman spoke as a more sadistic grin spread across her face. "Or is the dumb beast going to attack because it thinks it's tough?" Rose mocked the arrancar, finding her own form of enjoyment in her taunts as more cracks came from her hand, yet remained ready to draw her blade if she needed to.
To add to her previous warning Rose let some of her reiatsu form around her, crimson wafted around her like smoke in the air, tinges of purple were more saturated around the areas of her feet while a light yellow came from her hand, blending into the reiatsu to form smooth coloration that were pleasing to the eye. She didn't let enough reiatsu seep from her to give away her full potential, but enough to hint at the arrancar that she meant business. Would the beast be smart and cower or would it attack and meet its doom?

Aurora watched this woman stare her down. Obviously, from the look on her face when she was talking to her, telling her her view on the world and of her own kind, this shinigami wasn't too pleased with it. Why would she be? She had pretty much just said that shinigami let souls become hollows. But, Aurora wasn't going to back down. She was going to stand there, say her piece and since this captain wasn't leaving, fight her for it.
The captain then told her of the many ways that hollows could be made. Honestly, Aurora wasn't listening. She didn't really give a shit what she had to say about the point. But, she kept eye contact with the captain, so it at least looked like she was listening. She did the same thing with Horse Man from time to time. Though, with him, she listened more than half the time, since he actually had a few more relevant things to say to her.
But, for now, all she heard this shinigami say was retarded, pathetic and get her facts straight. Aurora wasn't an idiot, from the life she lived. But, she told it like she's heard it from the hollows. The ones she's met, before killing of course, was that the shinigamis couldn't save them. But, it was neither here nor there. This captain was pretty sure that she could easily kill her. She probably could. But she would never back down from a challenge and never give up in a fight.
The captain continued to talk to her, trying to get her to run away scared. Aurora growled at that, squinting her eyes just a little at this shinigami. When she called her dumb, it pissed her off more than anything else this woman said. Her arms started shaking from rage. She would not let this shinigami go down that easily. When the captain started to crack her knuckles, Aurora started to feel something come off the captain.
She watched the captain's reiatsu form around her, showing colors of crimson, purple and yellow. Aurora had never seen someone let their reiatsu bleed out like this and actually show colors. It was an interesting skill and the colors were nice, but this wasn't going to deter her. Aurora already knew how strong this captain was, and she also knew the captain wasn't stupid enough to show her full power. During the fight, she would need to keep an eye out for any tricks that this captain could pull.
With that show of power, Aurora knew that now was the time to start the fight. Otherwise, the captain could try to get the drop on her. She pulled her gloves quickly, to make sure they were on tight and regripped her sword. She held the sword in both hands, putting her right hand higher than her left on the grip. She had her feet shoulder width apart with bent knees. She left her sword out in front of her, angled in front of her, hilt towards her hips, tip up.
She would keep the sword in the middle of her body, hoping to make it so that the captain wouldn't know what she was doing until it was too late. But, she also knew that the captain would be able to react quicker than her. This would be her most challenging fight, but she was ready. Aurora ran at the captain, and once she was sword's length away, she immediately brought her sword in, moving it downwards then immediately right back out to stab at the captain's abdomen.

Aurora watched the woman before she actually went through with her attack. She had steadied herself to go through with this attack, and this woman was more than ready. She matched Aurora's grin with one of her own. Hers was just as sinister, which Aurora didn't think was possible. She thought that all of the souls in Soul Society that made it into the shinigami were pure, but obviously that wasn't the case anymore. She really needed to get out more.
The woman's crimson eyes really set off the sinister vibe that she was trying to give off. Though now, her eyes looked more like a cat's and the crimson just made her look a little evil. Aurora assumed that this woman really wanted to beat the shit out of her. But, Aurora was determined to not make it that easy on her. She took a breath and tried to think up alternative plans to fight while she was going in for her attack. She had to make sure that her mind was at its peak before she tried anything.
She started to run in for her attack, keeping her eyes on this woman the entire time. She tried to keep her eyes peeled for anything that she might try to pull on her at the last minute. While she was moving her sword down to stab at this woman, she heard a crackling that was coming from the woman's left hand. Aurora assumed that this woman was going to start shooting something out of this hand so she needed to think quickly and hopefully act quickly enough.
She knew that she had to avoid that by any means necessary. The only problem with that is that she was so close to the woman now, she didn't know if she could do it fast enough. This shinigami was very tricky. She was thinking of some of the possibilities that she could do, but there were a few things wrong with them. It was because of this woman. She was faster than her so pretty much anything Aurora would try, the woman could use her superior speed against her.
Then, she looked towards the captain's sword. She hoped that this attack would work to catch the captain off guard, but from what she was noticing about the captain, obviously it wasn't going to. Aurora knew that this captain was going to use her zanpaktou. There was one shinigami that she had met that didn't really use her zanpaktou that much, which she just assumed was the exception to this hunch she had about the shinigami. She knew from what she's heard that most shinigami would use their zanpaktou to fight.
She had also heard of shinigami having other powers, but she had never actually seen them before. She assumed that's what the crackling noise was. The noise almost reminded her of what the Arrancar use, the Cero. Though, it would make sense. She had heard talks through the castle of Los Noches, where some Arrancar liked to think that shinigami and Arrancar were two sides of the same coin. They both had human figures, zanpaktous and had spiritual based attacks. It seemed like she would get to see first hand.
But, with the strength of this shinigami captain, and how stupid she was to just rush in headlong into the fight, she had a good idea that running into the captain would be her downfall. When she ran in close, she watched as a bright rope shot from the shinigami's left hand and felt the pressure that the captain was exuding on her. She got hit with the rope and then fell forward from her run with the pressure pushing her forward towards the ground. While she was falling she saw the captain move.
She went towards her sword. She knew that she couldn't move and that it was time that the fight was over. She was pissed that the fight was over already, but she took some solace in it. She didn't back down from this fight at any point. She stood up to the shinigami and she would end the fight happy with the way she fought. She saw the shinigami quickly draw her sword and impale Aurora, then moving the sword to open up her chest cavity. She fell to the sand and stared at the captain as long as she could. This would not be the end of Aurora, not by a long shot...
