"WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" A loud mod soul yelled out, running across rooftops with the help of his abilities. This particular mod soul stood exactly six feet tall, and was dressed in hardly anything. He wore an open gray hoodie and baggy brown shorts. He had straight brown hair that covered his eyes, and went down to the middle of his back. There were many scars all across his body, and nearly all of them be visible due to his style of clothing.
The mod soul had a low leveled version of his signature wind armor active, covering both his hands and feet in a grayish blur. This let him travel the town with ease, leaving minor grooves wherever he walked. His new shinigami friend had just left after an awesome night filled with, booze, blood and.... something else. He forgot after awhile, but he still had a good time. He was just so glad that he cloud be free after escaping that hollow witch! He shuddered at the thought of her laughing form.
But something was happening, unbeknownst to Kaze, as he ran and laughed through the human world. The armor that the mod soul created, was practically an energy beacon to any being with the energy to sense it. Not that Kaze would care even if he did know. He preferred dealing with things as they come, not being bothered by things that want to kill him. He'd just kill them back!
So that's where we find our young(in bleach terms) mod soul. Jumping around buildings, trying to feel the rush of air around him. Every so often, someone would look up and see the man as he used his armor to jump, but he didn't care; all that there was for moments like these, is him and the sky. It was a thing of pure beauty to him. Then he accidentally tripped, causing him to activate his current strongest armor. This causes him to crash through the roof he was about to land on. A twenty story fall later, and we find the man in a Kaze-shaped hole in the ground, only due to his armor, with him climbing out.
Arashi had been in the World of the Living for nearly a week, and he was certifiably bored out of his mind. Whoever said that these humans had advanced entertainment had obviously never heard their terrible music. What was it called again? Screemo? Yes, the first time Arashi walks into a record store, he finds himself hearing a screeching voice filling the area. As you can guess, he vacatd the premises immediately. If only there were something to do. Of course, Arashi doesn't really condone violence, but he really felt like having a good fight right now... Suddenly, Arashi's phone rang.
'BEEP BEEP' He glanced down, "What a great app?" apparently their was an unusual energy signature broadcasting it's presence near him, and he was tasked with 'checking it out'. A slight smirk made its way to Arashi's face, maybe this was just what he needed? He quickly swallowed a Gikon, leaving his Gigai in the artificial souls metaphorical hands. With his Gigai out of the way, he swiftly made his way to the coordinated designated, and very quickly felt the energy signature the message spoke of. While not overly powerful, it wasn't anything to sneeze at, and Arashi was careful not to underestimate his possib;e opponent.
Finally arriving at the scene, he found himself staring at a smoking crater in the ground, looking closer, he found himself gazing upon what was seemingly a human, surrounded in some strange aura. This was very strange. He quickly jumped down to the ground, standing around 10 yards from the crater. From there he called out to the 'human'. "You, you can see me, can't you?" He asked the question of the person currently crawling out of the hole. "Who are you? And why are you emitting such reitsu needlessly?" He asked in an authoritative tone, fully expecting an answer...
Post by Jikken Kaze on Oct 30, 2014 14:13:51 GMT -5
Kaze had just climbed out of the crater he had made, when he had heard the sound of someone telling him what to do. When he turned to face the voice, what he found surprised him greatly. And by that, he meant 'not at all'. A shinigami was on the other side of his crater, and looked slightly miffed, or that's what he guessed anyway. Had to tell with hair covering your face. He stared at the slightly taller man for a few seconds, before responding. "... Are you a Quincy?" He asked, sounding completely honest with his question.
For some reason, he tended to get the two races confused. A lot. "Cause if you are, then-" He was then interrupted by a loud siren. When Kaze had crashed through the mall's roof, the humans inside had started to clear out as fast they could, along with call the police. They had arrived surprisingly quick, due to the nature of the threat. "There's the shinigami!" A random police officer yelled. "And there's the mod soul!" Yelled another. There was a large group off police behind the first two. Kaze glared over towards the shinigami, having previously been looking over towards the police dressed in riot gear. "You're a shinigami?! You liar! And where's your bow?" He asked/yelled, still confusing the two rases.
The police officers ignored whatever conversation they were having. "Open fire! Don't let them escape!" The first officer yelled to his squad. The first shot was fired, causing Kaze to yelp in surprise. He activated his 'hurricane' armor in response, and charged at the shinigami, head first with. He was moving at 225 speed, with his fist cocked back ready to punch. "[smear:008080]DIE SHINIGAMI![/smear:ff0000]" He yelled, with his voice distorting for some reason.
Arashi was confused. Had this person just called him a quincy? He was fairly certain that he wasn't a quincy. However, before Arashi could dwell on this, and think on whether to take that as an insult or not, something else intervened... Suddenly, a large group of men dressed in black uniforms burst into the mall. THe commande quickly shouted to fire on himself and the now known to be Mod Soul. "Crap!" Arashi thought to himself as they opened fire. Thankfully, their aim was pretty terrible. Unfortunately for Arashi however, he had bigger things to worry about. Because with a cry of [smear:008080]DIE SHINIGAMI![/smear:FF0000] the mod soul lunged at Arashi.
With the surprising speed he had, Arashi barely dodged the blow , thankfully, he was able to pull off a shunpo to escape. Quickly analyzing the situation, he understood that they would need to move the battle to the next floor, lest these 'police' interupt the fight. Thinking on his feet, he quickly junped up onto the second story of the mall, which just so happened to be a childrens toy store. Standing on the railing, He thought quickly. "Judging by his speed, I'll probably be unable to keep up with him in close quarters, and I don't like the look of that aura of his... My best bet will probably be to keep my distance as much as possible"
Deciding on this as his best course of action, Arashi Threw his hand forward "Bakudo #61: Bakudo #61: Rikujokoro (Six Rods Prison of Light)" Then, whilst the technique was imbound, he mentally recited the incantation "Carriage of Thunder. Bridge of a spinning wheel. With light, divide this into six!" At the very least, the technique would cause him to try and dodge, slowing him down, and if succesful might even get him caught by those 'police', with this in mind, Arashi retreated into the department further to make a plan... Arashi chuckled to himself, "This might be some fun after all. While that speed of his is concerning, he's still not fast enough for him to overwhelm me... I think I can take him"
Post by Jikken Kaze on Oct 30, 2014 17:55:53 GMT -5
The mod soul stared up, watching the six rods fly at him. All of them struck true, and Kaze was unable to move because of it. "What!?" He said, wide-eyed in shock. The cops were closing in on him, guns aimed. They figured that he couldn't move, they could capture him. Kaze looked around at them, getting slightly worried. The rods of light shuddered, before collapsing completely. Kaze took that as his sign to leave, so, using his armor, he jumped up to the second floor to chase the shinigami. He jumped through the ceiling, and landed on the second floor with ease.
Kaze looked winded(punny). Jumping so high had taken a bit more out of him than he thought. Kaze caught his breath, and searched for the shinigami. "[smear:008080]Where'd you go you monster?[/smear:ff0000]"He thought aloud, with his dual toned voice. Kaze was relatively tall for a person. He stood exactly six feet tall, and was covered in scars, not that you could see them with his wind armor. He was dressed it what appeared to be rags. He wore a light gray, baggy as eff hoodie that was open, showing all of his chest and abs. His pants were baggy brown shorts, that stopped just past his knees.
He spotted his target again. "[smear:008080]Ah HA, found you worm![/smear:ff0000]" He yelled. The mod soul pointed dramatically at the shinigami, looking like a hero that was about to save a princess or something. "[smear:008080]My name is Jikken Kaze you monster![/smear:ff0000]" He yelled. "[smear:008080]You and your race thought you could control me! But you were wrong! NOW DIE![/smear:ff0000]" He proclaimed, rushing the probably confused shinigami. His armor was useful for more than just defense. His armor was a type of aura ability.
It moved how he wanted, where he wanted, and how fast he wanted. Because the 'armor' covered his entire body, including his feet, he was able to make himself move in any direction without the need to move his body. This tended to make fighting easier for him, since he barely moved in fights, other than the occasional punch. Kaze almost always looked like a living tornado during fights, destroying anything in his path. His features were blurred by the powerful aura winds, looking like a grey, humanoid blur. This is what Arashi would see heading straight at him, not even trying to punch, because knew what would happen if he even touched him. He left groves in the floor underneath him.
On the ground below them, the cops quickly took over the first floor. They were armed to the teeth in spirit weapons, and were almost itching to use them. A large cop came up to the officer from earlier. "First floor secured sir." The officer nodded in approval. "Good work. Now get started on the second one. We can't let them escape." The large cop nodded, as he gathered another squad to head up to the next floor.
"Monster? Worm!? How dare you!" Arashi cried out as the mod soul, now known as Jikken Kaze insulted him, "You are the abomination, and by the will of the Thirteen Court Guard Squads, I will destroy you. I am Leuitenant of Squad 5, Arashi Kawada!" With that, the mod soul, after pointing at Arashi as if he were some comical superhero, sped towards Arashi, leaving a groove in the floor. This was definetily not good, that aura of his was annoying. From what he could tell, by the speed he rid himself of Arashi's kidou, it seemed te repel attacks, as a sort of armor. Not only that apparently, but from what he was doing to the floor, just being near it would deal damage.
"Yeah... Let's stay away from that shall we?" Arashi quickly tried to move away, but found the speed of his enemy to be quite troublesome, thinking on his feet, he quickly shunpo'd to the otherside of the room, an area of the store dominated by rubber balls. "Let's see if this works?" He then dumped the huge carton of these on the floor between himself and his enemy. Arashi was not one for letting his enemy gain the upper hand, he definitely wanted to keep this fight at a distance, so just as Jikken was already speeding towards him ((Damn he's fast!)) he quickly prepared his chosen kidou mentally chanting the incantation "Shoot forth from the heavens and find your mark. Soundlessly. Cautiously. Swiftly. Make yourself known by your bite and curse those who condemn you."
He simply pointed his finger at his speeding opponent, hopefully, his energy sensory would be low enough that he would be low enough that he wouldn't be able to sense the attack. This coupled with the attacks extreme speed, and the speed of his opponent rushing towards him, should keep his enemy from dodging. Lowly, calmly, he uttered the name of his kidou "Hado #50: Mabarashi Dangan". The white ball of super condensed reitsu left his hand and soared towards his opponent. Arashi let out a small smirk. If he was right, then this attack would be devestating to his enemy.
You see, Mabarashi Dangan was not an ordinary kidou. It was super condensed, to the point that the white ball of reitsu is the size of a table tennis ball. This would cause many to underestimate the technique.... The fools. Not only was it Arashi's fastest kidou, but it also had TWICE his penetrating power. "Let's see if THAT gets through that aura of yours" Finally, if all of that wasn't enough, the technique was invisble and soundless to all who hold a low ability in energy sensory. Arashi chose this technique because it was his fastest kidou, and against this opponent? He knew he'd need all the speed he could get.

Oh how he loved watching how angry the shinigami got at his insults. They weren't very good insults, but to the prideful shinigami, they clearly enough to rile him up. "[smear:008080]Prideful idiot.[/smear:ff0000]" He idly commented. This shinigami was slower that he was, but he loved to jump around with that movement ability they all had. He also hasn't drawn his sword. 'Is he that confident that he can beat me?! I'll kill him!' The battle hungry voice thought for him, as he prepared to charge at him again.
But then, something weird happened. The shinigami raised his filthy hands towards the mod soul, and began speaking. He wasn't talking to Kaze, he could figure that much out. It was almost like he was chanting something, but he couldn't guess why. He prepared to dash at his foe with his own movement ability by crouching low, but was interrupted. The interruption was in the form of a controlled explosion on his left shoulder. Kaze was sent flying backwards, straight into a wall. 'Ohh, w-what, ugh, was that?' A horrible pain was throbbing from his shoulder. He looked down at it, and saw it bleeding, with a small chunk of flesh missing.
He looked worried. This rat was able to pierce this armor he had, with something he couldn't see! He looked towards the shinigami with a scowl on his face. Not that he would be able to see it due to his armor. It made it nearly impossible to see his face clearly. Something caught Kaze's attention behind the undead samurai. A large squad of police dressed in riot gear. Kaze let out a pained chuckle, before commenting. "Hehe, catch me if you can, you waste of existance." He said, before his armor dragged him up to the next floor, right through the ceiling.
Arashi however, had bigger problems. "Fire!" A large cop yelled to his squad. They took aim, and let loose a hail of bullets, right at the shinigami. A few came really close to hitting the soul reaper. If he didn't rush to the next floor, he would be shot to near death, and captured by the cops. If he fought the cops, he would be shot. A bunch. So going to the next floor would be his only choice.

Just as he had thought, that particular kidou would be vicous against this enemy. He couldn't use it repeatedly however. For one, he needed to conserve his reitsu, this fight might take longer than expected with these cops out and about, and who knows? He might even have to fight his way through THEM. Of course that was Arashi's last recourse and he dearly hoped he wouldn't have to attempt it. Not only would it be immensely troublesome, but he wasn't actually sure if he could succeed. Their numbers combined with those spiritually peircing weapons were dangerous...
Arashi didn't like mods souls. in fact, he hated them... With a passion. Ever since- 'No! don't think about it, I have bigger things to worry about!' Thankfully, his attack had hit his enemy, doing some considerable damage as well. On the downside however it seemed the riot squad had caught up to him. 'Damn!' he thought. Quickly running and dodging gunfire, he pulled open the elevator doors, and jumped up the elevator shaft, making it to the next floor, where he assumed (correctly) the mod oul would be waiting for him. "Liars and monsters the lot of them!" He made it onto the floor and found his enemy facing him in what seemed oddly ((and funnily)) enough seemed to be a pharmaceutical store.
Arashi really didn't think much of this soul, and in fact had resolved not to draw his sword in this fight. But with these police, he might have some trouble. It was time to step things up. He addressed his opponent, "Don't think this makes you worthy of my blade, but those law enforcement officer have made things somewhat troublesome, and I want to end this quickly. So why don't we step this up a notch?" Without further ado, Arashi drew his sword in a long graceful movement, before facing it at his opponent. For a brief moment however, his world shifted "I will defeat you Hachi!"

Upon entering the third floor, he noticed all the medical supplies around him. Bottles, boxes, barrels; all sorts of things could be found in this room. He begins to rummage around, hearing gunfire all the while. He spots something on the floor. He bends down, carefully because of his shoulder, and picks it up. It's a bottle of medicine. Go figure. He tries to read what's written on the side, but has no such luck.'It says, 'eat me and get healed'. So tear into it and eat them.' The angry voice told him, snickering as he did so.
Shrugging his right shoulder, he shredded the top off, and ate the contents of the bottle. "Blagh!" He coughed out. Those tasted AWFUL!!! He heard a few beeps and dings, oddly enough, and his shoulder started to feel better. "The heck was that?" He asked. He got nothing in response. He heard a loud ding behind him. When he turned around, he saw the shinigami, and scowled. "Don't think this makes you worthy of my blade, but those law enforcement officer have made things somewhat troublesome, and I want to end this quickly. So why don't we step this up a notch?"
The ghost of a samurai told him. The soul reaper drew his sword with finesse that Kaze doubted he would ever have the need for. "I will defeat you Hachi!" Kaze blinked. "But my name is Kaze...." He said, not sure what the shinigami was doing. The only thing he was sure of, was that it wouldn't be good for him. Using that mindset, he decided to go in between the isles of the pharmacy, trying to get out of his direct line of sight.

Arashi decided it was time to bring the heat, he gathered his reitsu, focusing it, flaring it. "Prepare yourself mod soul." He said as the aforementioned being ran away, "For the Shikai of a Vice-captain!" extending his arms, and placing his palm on the back his sword as he placed it parallel to his body horizonnatally. Suddenly a huge flare of reitsu erupted from his body, filling the entire room with his power. Closing his eyes, he uttered "Harken.." suddenly opening them, he rose his voice to a shout, "Yasokyoku!" The room was filled in a bright light, blinding all who looked upon it.
When the area finally cleared, Arashi was left standing with his arms crossed, his sword had disappeared. His shikai, was readily apparent however... On either of his arms, two gauntlets metal gauntlets were present, and extending from them were vlades nearly three feet long. "Arashi glared at the area he had seen the mod soul disappear to. "I'm coming for you abomination!" Quickly dashing, he guessed his enemy was hiding behind one of the isle shelves. "Well if you won't come out... I'll force you too!"
Arashi stopped, and extended one of his hands towards the shelves he had seen the modified soul hide behind. he lazily lifted his arm up, and snapped his fingers, "Oto no Bakuha" he said calmly. Immediately, an invisible shockwave, only noticable by the ripple it produced, ripped through the area, easily pulling the shelves up from their mooring with the force generated. ((To be clear, Arashi is standing about 15 to 20 yards away from the shelves when he uses this attack)) If the mod soul was standing behind those shelves, he would be thrown back by the force generated, and problaby a bit bruised up from the shelves landing on him.
Arashi didn't wait for the dust cloud to clear, when he said he was kicking this fight up a notch, he meant it. Hoping the shelf was pinning his enemy down, he starting chanting the incantation for his kidou as quickly as he could. 'Sprinkled on the bones of the beast! Sharp tower, red crystal, steel ring. Move and become the wind, stop and become the calm. The sound of warring spears fills the empty castle!' raising his hands towards his target, Arashi shouted the name of his kidou "Hado #63: Raikōhō!".

This soul reaper is weird. He keeps going on and on AND ON! SHUT UP ALREADY! And what the heck is a shikai? This question would soon be answered. Right now! With a blinding flash of light that Kaze wasn't looking at, the swordsman's sword transformed t=into something MUCH lamer. Not that Kaze could see them to know that. But the fact that there was light coming from over the top of the shelves, was defiantly on indicator that something happened. Not that Kaze cared too much. He was dead certain that his wind armor could protect him from any sort of pathetic attack that the vile shinigami could muster up.
And he was proven right, when the rotten soul reaper decided to drop a few shelves on him for fun. Kaze was now currently lying under three, now hollow, shelves. Why are they hollow you ask? Because the wind armor that the mod soul was wearing cut through the shelves like wet paper. Now you might also be wondering 'if his armor cuts through the shelving, why is ne under them?' It is quite simple stupid shinigami reading this. The shock wave thing, whatever it was that he did, tossed Kaze backwards. Despite him being protected from nearly all damage, he can still be moved around if the attack is strong enough.
So now Kaze was lying on the floor. Said floor was continuously being damaged by his wind armor, and the battle in general. "Ugh, what hit me?" He asked to no one. Moving his arm to rub his head, causing a screeching sound that he himself was unable to hear. Because of this, he pretty much unknowingly gave away his location. Again, not that he cared even if he had known. He was still very confident that his armor would hold up. Until he was shot with who the heck knows what, and send skidding across the floor, leaving a huge groove in the tile.
"Ugh, that was just rude...." Kaze said, sitting up. "Now I'm gonna skin you alive!" He got up and charged at the shinigami using his movement ability. He was planning on crashing into the spell casting punk and shredding to pieces with his armor. Normally, crashing into someone while going so fast could injure you too, but, because of his ability, he would be safe. Unlike Arashi, who would be thoroughly screwed if he didn't dodge in time, and seeing as Kaze was moving at (cough, 2475,coughcoughcough) speed, the shinigami should be grazed at least. At most? A bloody mist behind Kaze.
If the prideful samurai, didn't die from his 'attack', then Kaze would stop three feet behind where the ghost had been. The elevator doors would then open up, revealing a small group of swat guys with guns and shields. The same would be mirrored for the opening of the pharmacy, only in a much larger number. "WHY WON'T YOU TWO STAY STILL!?" The tall cop from before yelled. After the yell, all of the cops would open fire on the two of them. Three shots struck the mod soul's armor, before being shredded. "I'll stop running when you stop chasing!" He yelled, moving over to the nearest wall, letting his armor carry him up to the next floor.
This is if the shinigami doesn't die, and considering how these things normally go, he would be fine to try and escape. But there were next to no places for the soul reaper to escape the room. The only place that he could use, was the man sized hole that Kaze created. If he chose to use that rout, he would pretty much be abandoning his pride, and using something that a mod soul had left. That, and the fact that Kaze could be up there, ready to strike him down. Kaze wouldn't though. It wasn't his style. Kaze wouldn't kick a man while he was climping through a hole, getting shot at from behind. He would be too busy laughing at him if he did.
The next option for the trapped shini would be for him to try and jump through the bay window at the front of the front of the place. Using a shumpo, he could smash through the glass, and figure a way to get up to the next floor. Remember, this place is a mall, despite it being twenty stories tall. This means... the entire middle of the tower was open space. Ten shops on each floor with a view all the way to the bottom. Way to go Japan. This meant that Arashi could try to jump to the next ledge, or just use the escalator. Either way, he would have to be dodging a LOT of bullets along the way. Once he finally did reach the next floor, he would be greeted with a beautiful sight. The entire next floor was covered in Christmas decor. Trees, white fluff, reindeer, and an empty throne where a Santa would sit. But instead of a Santa, a certain mod soul was seated there in his place.
"You're slow shini-rat." He told him, looking at his aura coated nails instead of the samurai. "But now that you're here, now we can go another round." He began to snicker. Even with all the brave talk, he was beginning to feel tired. All the continuous movement, getting blasted around a few times; he had a right to feel winded. He doubted the shinigami was faring any better. Releasing, setting off kido, dodging his charge, he should be just as bad, if not worse. Kaze wouldn't attack first though. He wanted the vermin to strike first. This man clearly didn't like mod souls, unlike his only shinigami friend, who didn't really care too much. He would dodge if the shinigami attacked though.
