(ooc: Defeat post)
While Aramis had avoided the explosion, he had miscalculated, and frowned, F. A plan that required much more thought put into it. He acknowledged. This was his failure. He was completely vulnerable, and exposed, if he even survived the fall. A bad plan, born out of desperation, and he was paying the penalty for it. Well, he would adapt as best he could. Aramis was flying by a building and realized how he could slow his fall. It was going to hurt though.
Gripping his zanpakuto so tightly that his knuckles turned white, Aramis timed it and thrust his arm through the window of a nearby building. It smashed through the glass with ease, but caught on the sill. His fingers tightened and combined with the force and speed, pain shot through Aramis in an instant. His mouth opened in a soundless scream of pain, before he drove his own Zanpakuto through his arm, and into the side of the building. Instantly his arm disappeared and so did the pain, leaving Aramis hanging, for a moment. He pulled his blade free and fell a full story to the ground below. Due to the distance, he failed to hear Taien's incantation though.
He did, however, see the wall of water, rushing towards him. Aramis sighed. He couldn't stop it. All he could do was mitigate the damage. He could try Shunpoing up, but that would leave him open to another attack. He would do the best he could. He darted away from the wave, behind the building, and hoping the foundations would hold. A foolish hope, as it turned out.
When the wave hit the building it washed it away. Easily. And Aramis was taken with it. His Zanpakuto, sharpened by his reiatsu, was the only thing that saved him. That and his arm. His other saving grace was that he had not been hit directly by Taien's kido spell, but rather had been smashed aside by the exploding wall of the building he had clung to. Aramis was swept along, and several ribs were broken instantly by the debris and force of the wave that swept him along. The pain caused Aramis to black out for a brief moment, and in that moment, he was suddenly frozen.
Aramis was fortunate. His head had been above the water when Taien had frozen it, or he'd have been just outright flash frozen and rendered braindead. Either way, he was unconscious. His eyes were open, but glazed over. He was alive, though those broken ribs would definitely need medical attention. He supposed he should count himself lucky, as many wouldn't have lived through this battle at all. But either way, the result was the same. He'd been defeated.
