Vents opened up, and the room began to clear of smoke, gas, and dust. The lasers abruptly stopped, disappearing in an instant. It seemed that they had won...but to what degree? Indeed, Sozen had skewered something, and Kyomei had struck something as well. Sparks flew and danced, and small electric impulses wizzed and chirped. The humanoid robot was filled with holes, which revealed circuitry and machinery within, and the eyes had gone blank. However, it otherwise resembled greatly an old human male, with Kyomei's released gas condensed around it. It seemed that at some point or another...the Baker had switched out with a machine. Or, perhaps the Baker had never even truly been there to begin with. Perhaps he had always been a machine in that room.
Regardless, it seemed that the challenge had been completely cleared. Or had it been? No, there was more coming, this was essentially guaranteed. "You've done well thus far, Shinigami..." an announcement somewhere in the room started to play. It was the same voice from the machine which had earlier greeted them, indicating that perhaps the Baker was indeed a real person, but that he had not been so foolish as to allow himself to be alone in the room with two Shinigami Captains and one extremely powerful, nearly Captain-tier Vice Captain. No, that would have been foolish, to stay there in a room of foes of such caliber. He had been wise not to. Rather, he had more, it seemed, to challenge them with.
Suddenly, flames erupted forth from both walls, headed for Sozen, Kyomei, and Kaen. They were extremely hot flames, all consuming, and closing in slowly on all of the Shinigami, blazing towards them from either end of the room. Certainly, Kaen could attempt to upset them with his own flames, but could he really? A sensory analysis would reveal (to any who did sensing) that those flames had an immense reiatsu strength, far beyond what either Kaen or Sozen held. It was even beyond what Kyomei held. (OOC Note: Flames are 2500 reiatsu strength.) Therefore, how were they going to deal with these hot monoliths of fire, coming to annihilate them? There were many ways that they could, but how quickly they acted was of the essence.
