The thug that Cupid had a grip on struggled. "Don't know!" he exclaimed. "Don't know!" It stood to reason that he really might not know. Or perhaps he was faking it. However, given how he had bragged about the Belcher, he would benefit in that Cupid would die (in his opinion) against the Big Bad Bitchin' Belcher. Alternatively, perhaps he was more afraid of death by the Belcher than death by Cupid, meaning he was lying about knowing. There were numerous possibilities, but the very first few words that he let out denounced any knowledge of the Belcher's actual whereabouts at that current time. As it so happened, this man just flat out did not know. This could be very problematic for Cupid, given that he had to find information.
"Big guns hang near end of town!" the squeamish punk weaseled. "Big guns! Strong guys! We just regs! Big guns at edge of town! They know! They know where Belcher be! They know where he be bitchin' at!" He was not offering whereabouts to Cupid of the Belcher, but of actual minions, rather than just posers, who really would know the whereabouts of the Belcher. This would be more convenient. "South edge of town!" he exclaimed. "South edge!" So Cupid had to head to the south edge of town. Perhaps he would get lucky, and would find some that were dressed ridiculously like these posers. Perhaps they all dressed that way, and this was what made then identifiable. But this could only be speculation.
