Instead of the usual ruckus, the streets remained barren of noise under the starless night sky. Having hit midnight, the humans who claimed this land as their own had long since retreated back to their houses. Instead, the only one to walk down the grey pathway would be a hooded figure shrouded in mystery as even the several lamp posts surrounding the area would fail to illuminate his face. Passing numerous buildings, he would stop unexpectedly in his tracks before folding his arms cautiously. Something had caught his attention. Who or what though still remained a mystery.

A figure stood in the shadows between a building. The only thing that could be seen was some odd, red outlining of claws. It stood there with one hand behind his back holding onto something. The hilt of his sword was sticking out near his right hip. This male's white smile came across his lips and shined through the dark sky. Foot steps followed, as he approached a random male walking in the dead of night, in the human world. He wasn't a human for sure, his reiatsu was too high to be one. This male was still shrouded in shadows, except for his lower body. His feet showed a traditional Shinigami sandal wear, with a black robe swaying softly to the light wind over his legs. There was also a white jacket-like robe that was worn over the black. He started taking slow steps as he started to come out of the crevice of the buildings. "Hahahaha, Would you like a battle?!" the unknown male yelled.
Seikatsu Raito stepped into the light of the street lamps. It showed a dark haired male with red eyes staring at him. He wore forearm guards with attached claws to it. The main thing to be noticed was this man was a Shinigami, and not any ordinary Shinigami. He was a Captain, wearing the Captain's uniform. Three horizontal slashes can be seen on the back symbolizing the Third Division of the Gotei 13. Friend or foe, he didn't know who this was, and half the time when Raito was in a good mood, he greeted people with a battle. Thus, seeing if they are worthy of living or not.

Stepping into the light, the figure revealed himself as a man possibly in his late teens. Though his head was still covered with a black hood, the unruly silver hair dangling just above his face hinted at his old age, spanning far beyond what many humans have struggled to strive for. Despite this however his skin remained without wrinkles, in fact the faint outline of muscles only served to further boast the peak physical condition he was in. Such a creature able to transcend time through sheer willpower and lust could only proudly be labeled one thing. Bount.
In front of him stood an oddity indeed. Shinzu didn’t know what to make of the man or shinigami rather as his uniform dictated; instead he could do little but laugh at his foolhardy approach. Calming himself, he put on a straight face before starring at the man eye to eye. “Are you always this rash?” The Bount questioned with a cold like in his eyes. Not the type to dismiss a challenge, his calm demeanor faded as a smirk began to form. Though the man couldn’t exactly brag about being the best as sensing reiatsu, it was more than evident that his foe would be no pushover. The garments of a captain the enemy was wearing only stood testament to that fact. “Lets go.” Crouching down and raising his fists, those words would serve to mark the start of the conflict.

Raito looked at the young looking fellow. The Captain also looked pretty young, maybe in his mid twentys, some say his late teens. He studied him closely and he had heard of these kind of people before. They were like 'vampires', but the Seireitei science branch called them "Bounts". These Bounts fed on human souls and stopped them from coming to Soul Society. Thus, at times causing a danger in the balance of nature. The balance that the Shinigami and Hollows kept naturally, were disturbed by other 'entities' like the Quincy and the Bounts. The Shinigami smirked as he was approached with some confidence. It felt good that there were others that were always willing to fight. It gave him the motivation for battle even more.
"Rash? I wouldn't say rash..." the Captain, spoke slowly unsheathing his Zanpakutou. By the time, Raito's zanpakutou was upright, the Captain was behind the Bount. The Captain could feel himself be restrained by the Human World and didn't feel as fast he usually did. Raito's reiatsu felt weaker here, and knew that he could almost bring this bount to his knees if his spiritual pressure wasn't limited. He quickly slashed at the Bount's back and then jumped a couple feet back, getting ready for any unknown attacks.

Shinzu watched as the shinigami unsheathed his Zanpakutou. Having always had a fascination for such weapons, the sight of one on the battlefield couldn’t help but excite him. It was odd though that there was room for such a sensation when up against a foe of a captain’s caliber. The air was certainly thick, though the presence given off by the shinigami hardly had enough force behind it to weigh the Bount down. It was strange, disappointing even. Was he holding back or is this the best Soul Society had to offer? Either way, Shinzu intended to witness this new enemy’s full potential.
Reacting upon a sound, the Bount twisted the upper portion of his body around in order to get a better view of his rear. With a small amount of time to react, Shinzu slammed his arm onto the shinigami’s, preventing him from being able to fully swing his sword. Upon his foes retreat he immediately jabbed a nearby window display, shattering the sheet of glass as its shards rained down upon several mannequins. Picking up two medium sized shards, Shinzu held both in either hand tightly between his fingers as he formed a fist. Not bad. Let’s see if you’re as equally skilled with kidou. He thought to himself, backing away from the shop as a further amount of distance began to build up between the two.

Raito looked at the fellow, while jumping backwards. Shinzu had blocked the slash, by hitting his arms against each other. It was a smart move and it wasn't something Raito expected. He grinned, this man seemed more strategic than having natural battle qualities. But this was only the beginning of the fight and he had no space to judge, yet. Raito watched, as the Bount started to make his way away and down away from him. He watched as the space started to widen and he got farther away from him. Raito could sense that he wasn't running, but doing some kind of tactic.
Raito stood where he landed from jumping back, they were apart, but he could still see Shinzu. The male stood there with his black steel Zanpakutou, the red glinted off the sword and gave off a strong aura. The Zanpakutou felt itself being restrained, "Ahh! I hate fighting in the human world!" Chi Akuryou spoke to Raito. The Zanpakutou and the Shinigami that weilded it, were like two that were one.

“Why isn’t he attacking…” The Bount thought to himself. Kidou was but one of the many things shinigami have under their arsenal, however it wouldn’t be strange these days to find someone not so proficient at such an art. Could his foe be such a person? If so that would make him more of a close combat type, explaining his impressive skill with wielding a zanpakuto. A sound theory at the very least, Shinzu decided to test it as several meters stood between him and the captain.
Releasing his grip on the two shards of glass, they were thrown at the captain, the second being flung after a short delay in hopes of catching their target in a moment of vulnerability. With his opponent now hopefully caught up in trying to dodge or block the projectiles, Shinzu toke several extra steps backward. His foes weaknesses were becoming clearer and after this test all that would remain would be to force the shinigami into revealing his Shikai, the mere thought of which caused a shiver of excitement to break out in the Bount.

Raito stood there watching Shinzu and wondering what he was going to do. If he was creating a distance between them, then this male had to be trying to do some ranged attack. The male looked at his opponent, with the small devilish smirk on his face. Swaying his blade side to side, and then resting it towards the ground lazily, he started to talk small steps forward. Raito kept on walking, as he noticed that Shinzu was holding something. He watched the male carefully, wondering what he was doing. The glass shined some light off of it and it looked to Raito, as a weapon.
Raito watched as he saw the movements of Shinzu's arms throwing the shards at him. In an instant, using Shunpo, the Shinigami disappeared. He dodged both the shards, and now he stood his sword length from the Bount. He rose his sword and pointed at the other male. "Nan Zennen no Ketsuzoku (Thousands Years of Blood)," he spoke. Raito was getting bored of this male, and this battle was not going as fast as he wanted. So Raito decided to pick up the pace a little bit by pushing this Bount to his next level.
Raito's Shikai was a dangerous weapon, for he trained it so long and hard. His shikai was the type that only got stronger and stronger, and for years Raito had trained to defeat a Captain with his Shikai. Chi Akuryou's, the Blood Demon, reiatsu could be felt flaring, but to those with weak sensory would only detect Raito's similar reiatsu rising. The Zanpakutou and the weilder's reiatsus are very alike having little differences. It would take a strong reiatsu sensor to be able to pick out other's reiatsus.
The Zanpakutou seemed to not have changed except for its colors getting bolder. But the main difference would be its blade length had gotten longer. Not only had it gotten longer, but in this Shikai form, the Blood Demon started to drip blood. The blood dripped and stained the ground underneath them. Raito swung his blade in a diagonal manner at Shinzu. Blood could be seen running along the blade, as well as falling off in splashes or drops. Raito's blade sent blood splattering around when he swung the blade. If the blade had connected, Shinzu would feel an acidic pain slowly eating away at him where he got cut. If the blood dripped onto the Bount, he would feel his clothes slowly burning away then his body. But as it burned away at the body, it would also eat his natural life force of reiatsu. Shiznu would have to be careful now. Raito followed his slash with a cut horizontally to the torso, then a cut to slash his arm. These movements were made in a quick movement, in a shape of a triangle, as one fluid movement followed another. Raito brought his blade back to its position, ready for any counters.

The shinigami had dodged the incoming projectiles rather easily with the aid of shunpo. It was fairly annoying at the very least, not that he was expecting an attack of that caliber to be able to finish off anyone, let alone a captain. Before Shinzu could move onto his next attack however, his foes presence startled him. “A-Already.” He stuttered, instinctively realizing what was to come. With his life now threatened, the Bount put his joy aside for a moment as the air became heavy with tension.
As his foe began to utter the release phrase, Shinzu’s right arm became enveloped in a faint glow. A torrent of blue reiatsu twisted and stockpiled into a sphere, extending in four points its now cross like shape morphed into a pale blue sword. “Risskante.” He yelled as the blade began to pick up speed. It’s jagged edges now appeared a lot smoother as it completed more and more rotations by the second. Faintly screeching, the weapon began to violently emit sparks as it approached a optimum speed for battle.
By now the captain was ready too, his blade seemingly the same aside from the droplets of crimson liquid it was oozing. Not wanting to take any chances, Shinzu swung his own sword at his opponents, the two colliding before the captain could complete his slash. Blood spurted from the tip of the zanpakuto and flew past the Bount, narrowly missing his shoulder. “That’s some sword. You must really have a twisted personality.” Before Shinzu could carry on with the conversation however, something caught his attention.
Quickly dashing backward, the Bount fled before his foe could go for another attack as he noticed several holes forming on the sleeve of his coat. Immediately ripping the sleeve off, Shinzu held it tightly in his left hand as he ran in for an attack. Upon reaching a close enough distance, he would swing his sword horizontality, aiming to slash the man across the chest. All the meanwhile a faint glow began to build up on his left hand which was kept behind his back and out of sight from the shinigami.

Raito looked at the male and smirked. Shinzu's reaction was just as Raito had expected, surprised. He knew releasing his Shikai early on in the battle would throw one off really quickly. A Captain releasing his Shikai was even more of a scarier though. The Captain knew the ways of battle and used it to change the tides. And one of the main things that he used in battle was, mentality. The mental state was one of the biggest factors in fighting, and if you could manipulate those ways, you could win a battle easily. Raito watched as he took in the spiritual pressure that rose around them as the Shikai was released.
Raito watched the Bount make up some kind of sword-replica. It seemed he was using his reiatsu to create a sword to counter Raito. The blade looked like a electrical blade as it spun and seem to generate. It was an interesting move by Shinzu. Raito was starting to get interested in the powers this Bount had. Raito had never run into a Bount, and only heard of them. This first encounter with one seemed to be an exciting one. He smirked readying his blade as they clashed. "Twisted? What makes you say that?' the Captain carried on the conversation lightly.
The Shinigami had not had fun in a battle as much as he was having right now in a while. It was always slaying Hollows that were no match for him. Raito had heard about the uprise of Hollows and other Spiritual beings, and looked at it as a chance to battle. Raito watched as the Bount retreated for the moment. He watched as the opponent realized that he had blood spilled on his sleeve. Before Raito could complain about his constant retreating, Shinzu was dashing towards him. Raito swung his sword with his right hand, blocking the horizontal slash with one hand and pushing it back. The blood splashed when clashing and Raito tipped his sword as he pushed, hoping blood would luckily spill upon him.
Raito pushed back the reiatsu sword away from him, at the same time aiming a kick for his opponents chest. Hoping to knock out some wind momentarily and push him. When Shinzu had grabbed his left sleeve that had blood, he was holding onto acid. Slowly, he would feel the blood burning the cloth and start burning away at his reiatsu in his left hand. Only a second passed after kicking Shinzu before Raito used Shunpo to appear on Shinzu's left side. He could see that his opponent was still holding onto the blood-infected cloth and was taking out his reiatsu. Though, Raito could see a faint glow in his hand and smirked. Raito slashed up diagonally and brought his blade back to position. He was hoping for some kind of counter, so he could counter-attack the Bount's attack.

The battle was finally heating up. Even the air itself was slowly becoming thicker, almost reaching the point of it becoming unbearable. This unsettling tension, it was the first the Bount had ever felt it to this degree. The captain’s presence alone felt like a very threat against his existence, even so this only served to intensify the man’s blood lust. The difference in power was clear, in fact Shinzu probably should have been killed the instant the fight started but he wasn’t. He needed to know why; he needed to settle this unbearable urge to test his limits. A fight to the very end, that’s what he craved for.
Lost in his own thoughts, the familiar metallic clang of clashing blades served to snap Shinzu back into reality. As the weapons connected, his own began to spark much more violently then before. Dancing uncontrollably in all directions, Shinzu titled his blade at an angle so that the majority of the sparks accompanied by the acid like substance would spray his foe in a manner akin to a shotgun. The hopes of continuing the attack however were dashed as his blade was pushed back by the captain’s superior raw physical strength.
Staggering back, Shinzu kicked off the ground just befored the attack was delivered to him, sending him flying backwards though at the same time nullifying the brunt of the impact or at least most of it. Sensing himself getting weaker, it soon became apparent that the blood soaked cloth was the root cause. Dragging his feet along the ground to slow himself down, Shinzu regained his balance before his foe had caught up with the aid of shunpo.
Parrying the attack with his sword, the Bount jumped back before throwing a knife at the captains left shoulder. Solid blue much like his sword, it was flung alongside the tainted fabric of his ripped sleeve which had been pierced by the blade. His hopes were simple, if the projectile failed to hit its mark then hopefully the cloth attached to it would brush against his foe and begin to eat away at his flesh, assuming that the shinigami’s own attack did work against himself. With a moments break, Shinzu inspected the wounds on the upper right portion of his chest and arm where the acid like substance had come in contact with after a few droplets had been sprayed onto him earlier.

Raito looked at his opponent with a smirk, as Shinzu tried his best to keep on dodging and parrying attacks. This was going well in Raito's mind and he was having fun. The first thing he observed was that Shinzu used much strategy when fighting. He used a lot of trial and error tactics to see what was the Captain's weakness and strengths. He was smart and had great instincts. Raito saw much in him that could possibly make him into a stronger Bount. It was just the matter of him working at his best and training to his fullest. Raito seeing potential in him, had less of an urge to just kill this man right here. Like an animal's instinct, Raito could sense when his prey was weak and Raito could go for a killing blow very soon. Raito could, but wouldn't he had decided to keep this one alive and see what he would become.
"Lets keep going, Bount!" he exclaimed. Raito still wanted to keep fighting, this was the peak of the battle and it was getting good. Raito looked up as he jumped back and threw a knife at him. He could see a cloth attached to it, and it coming at him quickly. A devilish smirk crossed his lips once again. The knife went into his left shoulder and the bloody rage swayed against his skin. He took the knife and the rag out with his left hand, keeping his zanpakutou ready. He dropped the knife and a small thin line of blood ran down hsi chest. Raito had used his reiatsu to block the attack from doing more damage than it could've.
Raito gripped the bloody cloth in his left hand and let go of it in mid-air. The cloth flew into the air and away it went. It was simple, the cloth was nothing to Raito. His own blood reiatsu technique would not harm himself. "It's useless, Bount, my own blood won't do such a thing to me, my Zanpakutou is a loyal one," he explained. Raito started to dash towards the Bount and about half way to him, the Shinigami used Shunpo to appear in front of him. This is where he attempted to thrust his sword into Shinzu's right hip. Not a killing blow, but it would be a strong slash that would end this battle if connected.

Shinzu sighed momentarily before the seriousness of the situation deteriorated as a grin began to etch itself onto his face. Waiting for his opponent to run out of reiatsu would be a bad idea after all it was more than clear that his foe had a far vast supply than the Bount, who at this stage could barley even absorb the ambient reiatsu particles shrouding the area. Though doing so would provide him with a momentary surge of power, it would only result in a meaningless struggle against the captain. Unwilling to accept this fact however, Shinzu instead stood his ground as his eyes remained locked onto the target.
Mercifully his earlier attack had connected and caused a slight amount of damage, however clearly the wound inflicted was far shallower than an attack of this caliber should have caused. “Tch. Looks like you cheated at the last moment.” Shinzu pouted, clearly annoyed with the fact that his attempt to end the battle had crumbled so easily. If things weren’t bad enough it seemed that the captain was immune against his own zanpakutou’s ability, further eliminating any plans at a sneak attack the Bount had been attempting to conjure up.
Before he could react however the captain had already began his attack. With just a small window to react, Shinzu had parried the opponents strike successfully, or at least that’s how he would have liked things to go. “D-Dammit.” He stuttered upon realizing what was happening to his weapon. The opponent’s acid like blood was eating away at it, eroding it as the gushing crimson liquid caused the blade to weaken before snapping under the power of the captain’s strike. Just barely able to push the zanpakutou away, it slashed Shinzu across his right hip and reached just halfway across his thigh.
Gritting his teeth in pain, the Bount toke a leap back before the seriousness of the injury became apparent as he dropped onto his knees. With his right leg quivering uncontrollably it was obvious that attempting to stand in this state would be impossible. Unable to accept the situation however, Shinzu tightened his fists before his eyes became consumed with a red glow. Stretching his mouth open wide to reveal his fangs, the Bount began to take in a small portion of the surrounding reiatsu. All in vein however, Shinzu cursed under his breath at his inability to heal his own wounds before forming a knife in his left hand in order to defend himself despite his almost pitiful state.

Raito looked at his opponent with the same small, evil smirk on his right upper corner of his lip. His expression didn't change, as he held his Zanpakutou against his shoulder. His dark red eyes seemed glossy of blood, as the moonlight shone agaisnt his peach-colored face. Blood stained the area around them, but didn't dry. They stayed around them liquified and dangerously. Raito dropped the tip of his blade into a pool of blood. The zanpakutou seem to drip more blood from the tip, as it rushed out in a constant flux.
"I do not cheat in battle," Raito simply said, as he appeared in front of the bount. The Captain watched as his single strike to the hip was blocked by the Bount's reiatsu sword. Raito's let out a roar of a laughter as his blade clashed with Shinzu's. The weaker blade shattered under the pressure of the Captain's Zanpakutou and the acidic blood. His blade was truly amazing and he couldn't help but smile with pride. His blade sliced through Shinzu's skin and ate up his spilled blood. Though, it was too much for the Zanpakutou to all take in and splattered around them once again.
The Captain was expecting the Bount to be able to last longer. Raito felt a little disappointed and decided to keep fighting Shinzu. The male rushed forward with his running speed and attempted to cut Shinzu again. This time, Raito was using less reiatsu and less force. He only meant to cut across Shinzu's chest. He wanted to see how much power he could withstand with the mere knife he was holding. It was one of his devilish ways, to feel like he had power of all. He wanted to feel the weakness in his enemies and then kill them.
