A well dressed female Arrancar landed in a random vicinity in Hueco Mundo, it was an isolated area compared to Las Noches. This place was the normal desert that it gave off and this place was considered the 'Basement of Las Noches'. It had many random Hollows and Arrancars about. These beings had no allegiance as of yet and all of them struggled to survive here. They all devour each other for power and it is one of the more bloodier and dangerous areas in Hueco Mundo. It was also isolated among all others and made a perfect battlefield for the tournament that she had entered. Yuki Ayumu, the Tiercia Espada, was told by Kouhai-sama that she would have to enter this tournament. She didn't refuse, Ayumu basically lived to destruct and fight for her master. The desert surroundings had the same nostalgic, no... familiar, feeling as every area in Hueco Mundo. She stood there with her sword drawn, the tournament had assigned her at Hueco Mundo so either she was to fight someone that was a Hollow/Arrancar, or someone had to travel into the Hollow World just to fight her. She simply shrugged and kept on walking forward as her two-piece looking dress felt a strong wind pass by her. It was then a ten foot, enormous turtle-like Arrancar appeared in front of her. It demanded sacrifice or to be eaten, and Ayumu could only smirk at the ignorance of the Adjuchas. She instantly pulled her blade out and appeared on top of the Adjuchas' shell. It was then the Adjuchas would notice that it's face was cut in half and it slowly disappeared by trailing reiatsu. Ayumu landed softly on the desert floor as the turtle disappeared. Now she would have to wait for her opponent.

A Garganta ripped open in the sand, and a blur rushed out of it. The blur spun as he landed, shaking up sand in a circular pattern as the Garganta closed. This was Yuki's challenger. Even though he was strong, Adalo De-Mona didn't feel like underestimating Yuki. He'd lost to one of the top three Espada already. But, that one had been stronger than Yuki, and Adalo had been close. It was safe to say that he might be able to pull off a win here. He had had the ability to go up to the top three. So why didn't he? Adalo held back when showing his power. He didn't want to be in the top three. Four and above couldn't release under the dome of Las Noches. Adalo still wanted to be able to release under the home. And since Espada at that level were the only ones that seemed able to obtain Segunda Etapa, a power that Adalo wasn't interested in, it seemed that he didn't need the spot anyway. Sure, something like that would have been nice, but he was strong the way he was.
There was nothing quite like the sky in Hueco Mundo, Adalo appreciated that. But there was also nothing quite like the darkness. Darkness, this was going to envelop Ayumu. It was Adalo's power. He knew that she didn't know what his power was, and he didn't know what her power was either. Adalo didn't really like this Espada, she didn't know the order of things. He didn't know it either, but he was constantly adapting and getting stronger. Adalo knew just how much strength he had. But, Ayumu didn't seem to realize who was weaker or stronger than she was. Adalo was stronger. How did he know? Because there was reason for him not to be. Kuroi may have beaten Adalo, but Adalo would beat him too eventually. He would prove that he was stronger than all of the other Espada. That was Adalo's goal, his dream. Adalo looked up, drawing his sword.
"Is it that time already?" he asked. Adalo couldn't help it then. He didn't attack first though. He wanted the first strike to come from Ayumu. He was going to become very aggressive and forceful in a moment, but first he had to see what she could do. Adalo was reckless and bloodthirsty, but he wasn't stupid. There was such a thing as a risk. It wasn't like his power over her was absolute. She could still beat him if he wasn't careful. So, he waited, doing nothing more than that.
Ayumu stood there letting her golden blade be held up in front of her as she started dashing towards Adalo. This would be a fun fight for her and since she had little idea of what powers he had, she wasn't sure what to expect. It wasn't often to see others Resurrection due to the nature of the Espada usually working with the people around them. Ayumu was careful to not let her Resurrection secrets to be hidden, especially since there could be possibility of other Hollows studying her abilities to overtake her. That was more or less the strategy that she would've probably used on an Espada if she could get close enough. But she was an Espada and she could get close too them. She would make this fight interesting, Ayumu finally was in front of Adalo after traveling the distance to meet him. She did not use Sonido and simply used her fast speed. The female Espada was faster than Adalo as she swung her blade at him. Followed by quick, instantaneous double strike that was aimed at the torso and lungs. If Adalo wasn't quick to block, he would have a stab that could possibly puncture his lungs.
It was then Yuki jumped back and held her blade in front of her staring at Adalo. As she stared, three light blue reiatsu appeared in front of her. They stated to charge lightly and shot out towards Adalo. They were fast, much faster than any Cero, they were Balas. They all went in a random directions and now one was coming from behind him. They all attempted to strike at him and would explode on contact with him. Ayumu's Bala were strong, and dense enough to severe limbs and could explode enough to demolish buildings. Ayumu started to move higher into the sky as she kept her eyes on Adalo. She let her blade rest beside her as she waited for him to attack. Ayumu felt odd observing Adalo as he didn't rush out like he usually did. It was odd and she knew that she had to beat him through using her mind and all of her abilities. "It's been that time, I think you're late, Adalo," Yuki Ayumu simply commented to the Quinta Espada.

OOC - It's cause I'm actually faster than you.
It turned out that Adalo was faster than Yuki. As she came, his blade flinged up and he used it to smash aside her sword. However, he was a full average beyond her in strength, and his strike had enough force behind it to shove her sword out of her grasp. This meant that even in the middle of her attack, she was disarmed. The force of the counter simply sent her blade flying out of her hands and away somewhere. She jumped back and charged bala. Adalo charged some Bala of his own. His were also very fast, but he charged five instead of three. His first three did not shoot out randomly, but in clearly specified locations to blast aside the bala that Yuki let out before they got close enough to hurt him or even burn him. The remaining two headed for her torso. The first was heading for the number on her cleavage, the second was heading for her espada number. Adalo felt like targeting meaningful areas.
By that time Adalo knew the capabilities of Yuki. He didn't have to hold back anymore. "HAHAHAHAHA. THAT'S ALL YOU'VE GOT, TERCIA? THAT'S PATHETIC!" Adalo charged towards Yuki, suddenly disappearing with sonido. She was fast enough to protect herself with her own sonido, he already knew that. He was just going to attack her with a few combinations. His sonido brought him to he left side, where his sword started moving in an arc towards Yuki's neck. Then, after that, he used his sonido again so she couldn't retaliate. The next one brought him to her right. This time, his sword was going towards her knees so that he could immobilize her right from the start. Adalo didn't think any of this was going to hit, this was just making the battle interesting. He was just getting nice and warmed up.
[[OOC: You aren't that much significantly faster than me, so it isn't something you should get over your head about. And Yuki's Espada number, and the number on her cleavage are basically the same thing. So you targeted the same spot.]]
The female Espada smirked as she watched Adalo starting to turn into his dominate state. Ayumu looked at him as her balas started to come closer to him. It was then he quickly made counter attacks. It seemed he made Balas of his own to counter her's. And from what she could see there were two Balas heading straight for her chest. She started to move back to avoid it, but then Adalo had appeared on her left side. She simply cursed, knowing she had to think fast. The Tierce Espada used Sonido to quickly dodge Adalo and the two balas as they were all incoming. The Balas would detonate on Adalo if he didn't think quickly, since he had moved quickly before letting the Balas hit. It was a mistake he made by getting too bloodthirsty. Ayumu stood in the spot Adalo was before he decided to try and attack her. It seemed he was matched with her in speed, but she knew he was more powerful in terms of strength. The Arrancar wanted to release, but she wanted to see her opponent's ressureccion first. Holding her golden blade, she waved it side to side in a calm fashion. She was simply keeping herself ready and prepared for Adalo.
Yuki decided to start to move forward towards Adalo, with her blade ready. She was expecting something and she knew that she had to keep her senses aware for that. Using her normal speed, she ran forward then to the side of Adalo. Feigning a slash, she simply brought her blade back to a ready stance. It was then the female Espada spun around and went for a sweep kick against Adalo. She knew it wasn't something that her adversary was expecting, since she rarely used hand-to-hand combat in a battle of Zanpakutous, Kidous, Ceros, and other reiatsu based attacks. It was only good for throwing people off at times and she knew that she was fast enough to go in and out. If her kick connected, Ayumu would trip Adalo onto his back and would bring her blade to stab his stomach before retreating a couple of steps. Ayumu did not expect the male Espada to go down easily, so she prepared herself for a counter attack.

Adalo's slash missed, and the bala that he had fired were coming towards him. He needed to act quick, he knew that. He wanted to use ressurccion, but he'd made the mistake of using his first before against an Espada of similar strength. This time, he wanted to make sure that he forced the enemy to release. Adalo overextended with his slash since Ayumu was no longer there, offbalancing himself. He tripped, going into a face plant. The Bala soared over him, missing him because of him tripping. But, before he completely landed on the ground, he recovered his wits and performed Sonido. The sonido took him to Ayumu's front, where he spun his sword in a powerful slash towards her throat at the same time as she sweeped him. Adalo took it, and fell down towards his back. But, his slash continued as he fell, and his long blade grazed on her stomach while she was in the middle of sweeping him, drawing blood. Since she was in the middle of sweeping him, a block or dodge was null and void, impossible to do. It wasn't a very grave injury, but at least it was a hit.
Adalo took a small bit of flesh off, not much, but a small bit. It slid down the blade, going to the base of the guard, where it sat there. Also, while falling, he opened his mouth and generated a Cero when her blade came down on him. He shot the Cero completely out of his mouth the moment he hit the ground, shooting it towards Ayumu at almost point blank range while she was coming down to stab him. Since she was in the middle of a stabbing thrust maneuver, she couldn't dodge. Adalo didn't think that a block would be very possible either, but he'd wait and see. If she was hit by the Cero, Ayumu would instantly be killed, blown to bits. Adalo also swung his free non sword hand into a maneuver while all of this was going on. It wasn't certain what he was going for, but he was still moving his wrist at the same time as the Cero was charging and firing. So, he was doing something else during that time.
Ayumu watched Adalo as he appeared in front of her using Sonido. She went for a kick and when she was about to get up, she could see that Adalo was still swinging his blade at her. The Tierce Espada smirked when she felt the blade first rip her dress around the stomach. It left a tear in her upper part of her dress, but there was no blood. No blood at all. Adalo had apparently missed her by an inch. It was then as she got back up to stab Adalo, she saw him charging the Cero. Instinctively, she retreated her attack expecting the Espada to counter with something. She had used Sonido to appear behind Adalo as he fired his Cero off when he had fallen to the ground. This had given her the perfect opportunity to swing her blade diagonally down at the laying Adalo. She aimed for his free hand that he had swung to amputate it, but if she had missed she knew that it would at least slice Adalo around his shoulder blade area. This had given Adalo no time to react on the ground, he wouldn't be able to use Sonido since he was on the ground. Adalo would have to block using a limb or his blade if it was possible for him. As she was slicing, three balas shot out from near Yuki and she had only feigned a slice. Ayumu simply jumped backed as the Balas had hit Adalo. He had no time use Sonido since he had charged a Cero and fired it as he fell to the ground. Ayumu had went to slice him, so it would've given the intention of killing him. Yuki Ayumu had the ability to generate Ceros and Balas without any hint of her generating them. The only hint was the actual Ceros and Balas reiatsu charging and forming to ready to fire. But when they were fired instaneously, the opponent had little time to react especially in a situation where they were so close. The Balas wouldn't kill Adalo, but they would weaken him enough.
Ayumu stood there yards away from Adalo, as the smoke cleared from the Balas, she waited for him to attack. Knowing the Quinta Espada, he wouldn't stop attacking even if he was injured. She knew that with this opponent, she would have to keep her guard up until she had finally won. "C'mon Quinta!" she spoke to him as she kept her blade ready. Yuki wanted to see if Adalo would finally release his real self. She stood there waiting as the dusty clouds finally retreated back onto the desert sand floor. "Why don't you just show me your Ressurection?" she simply asked, wondering what it could be.

OOC - Since I waited until your stab maneuver started, and you were well into your stab by the time you would've noticed my Cero charging, there's no way you could've retracted and used Sonido to get away. I can validly state this in my post.
IC:
Since Ayumu had been in the middle of a stab during Adalo's Cero, there was no way that she could notice, and then retract and use Sonido on time to get away. Also, Adalo had been moving his hand at the same time. He grapped Ayumu's wrist at that instant, for that was what he had been going for. This held her in place, and stopped her from using Sonido anyway. She couldn't get away because his tight grip crushed on her wrist like an iron claw, and so she was stuck. She couldn't possibly get away from something as fast and sudden as a grab, because she'd been in the middle of a stab, and then in the middle of trying to retract one. And, Adalo was faster than she was. It wasn't by much to Espada like them, but it was roughly 4%. In situations like this, that 4% made a minor difference. So that was why she could not evade or block the grabbing of her wrist, and why she had no possible way to defend against the Cero.
The Cero directly hit Ayumu, blowing her entire upper half into tiny little bits. What followed the Cero was three Bala from Adalo's mouth to destroy the lower half too. Since Ayumu had been stopped from her sonido in the first place, her other attacks had never happened. This was the end for Ayumu, for the Cero killed her in an instant. Adalo had expected to need his ressurccion, and he had even expected to need the regeneration that came with it, the darkness based consumption. It didn't matter now, there was absolutely no way for Ayumu to have defended against that. She was done, and the battle belonged to Adalo. He had proven one thing correct in assumptions about him. He was strong. Stronger than his number indicated. He just had that number so that he could fool people, and also so he was allowed to release under the dome of Las Noches. Still, Adalo wondered what had made Ayumu the Tercia. In the end she had lost to him, and they had done it in a non ressurecccion state. "TERCIA ESPADA. THAT WAS PATHETIC! GIVE ME THE NEXT OPPONENT!" Adalo shouted.
OOC: How does stabbing a sword downward affect your feet movement? It is possible to slash your sword, stab it, etc. while moving your feet. They do it all the time in the manga. So you can't tell me that I can't do that. It would be different if I had stabbed you, but I didn't stab you. Also you have your Hollow hole in your stomach, so it would be like moving the sword downward while using Sonido.
Post by Kashmir De-Mona on Aug 6, 2010 1:05:47 GMT -5
OOC: You did a sweep, then downward stab move. That's a fluid combo that goes from a sweep into shoving your body weight and momentum into the stomach stab. And plus, you said you'd stab BEFORE retreating. So you were stabbing before moving back. This means my attack is valid. And since to get a proper hit on me anyway, you still have to be in range of my grab. My attack is valid either way. Checkmate.
