Keeping his position Shawn watched as Kuro stood up and listened to the question he was asking at the same time. “I was trained by a harsh master who wasn’t that strong physically or spiritually thus he couldn’t become a Shinigami, thanks to this though he took his knowledge and skills and taught them to me, showing me how someone weak can still take down a being far greater, pressure points are nasty little things.” Shawn would explain this while staying in the same position, watching and waiting for Kuro to possibly make a move.
Kuro didn’t seem to be planning an action at the moment but instead actually seemed curious of his answer, We could definitely be friends if he shows this much eagerness for growth. Not long passed before his opponent spoke up with a second question. “I wouldn’t believe strikes other than from our weapons would be considered points, it would be unnecessarily complicated then, I suggest we are allowed to strike with our own body but they wouldn’t count as points and instead be to assist our weapons, agreed?”
Shawn would wait for his response before making a move, after being answered Shawn would make his own charge at Kuro keeping his “sword” raised at eye level to the right of his head. Reaching about 5 feet he will go for a feint, stabbing slightly forwards but retracting it halfway before contact. Doing this Shawn will firmly place his left foot down in front of himself to quickly stop his momentum. Coming to a stop he will push backwards slightly to straighten up a little more while keeping his original stance waiting for Kuro’s response to the feint.

As Shawn explained, Kuro would stand still, looking over the stance he was taking, before Kuro returned to his usual stance, both hands on the handle of his blade while leaning slightly forward and bending his knees. Learning this much about his new friend was fascinating, but this was in the middle of a contest. Giving away so much about yourself could be dangerous to the overall goal of victory, couldn't it be? Kuro gave a slight smile as he saw Shawn take the initiative this time, charging forward at Kuro. But this didn't seem to be something Shawn would do, atleast from the fight so far.
Kuro took a step forward at what he deemed to be the last possible moment, letting Shawn get in close, before launching his body upward and forward, putting his left foot forward into the jump and then lifting his right foot, putting the bottom forward so as to try and plant it into Shawn's chest. The whole movement was to try and pushing Shawn back and down into the ground. At the same time, Kuro lifted his blade up and into a stabbing form, so as to point it at Shawn's forehead and plunge it forward. This would possibly cause some confusion in Shawn, hopefully not entirely sure of what Kuro might do until the last moment before being bopped in the forehead with the end of Kuro's scabbard.
If this succeeded, then Kuro would be able to call this a victory and win some points before it was too late. However, he knew this would expose himself to all kinds of attacks. It all depended on who struck first and reacted to the moments faster. Speed was something the judged all moments of combat. And if his attack succeeded Kuro would say, "I'm glad we can possibly learn from each other. But I really hope that your pressure points are something you can use on something like a hollow. Being that they come n all kinds of shapes and sizes.... It seems more like a skill to be more easily used on a Shinigami or human than a hollow." This thought process caught Kuro before, leading to him wondering. Did Shawn want to fight hollows like most Shinigami, or did he have another goal in line with this fighting style?

Reaching Kuro and performing the feint meant nothing if it was immediately called out and moved against. Rocking back from his feint, Shawn would watch as Kuro stepped forward with his left leg and launched himself forward into the air, at least enough to try for a straight kick to the chest with his right foot, this would prove fruitless as Shawn has been hit with this move hundreds if not thousands of times from his master. Speed however is not in Shawn's favor, therefore using his sword during this time would be pointless, thankfully for Shawn however the move that his master taught him required the use of his forearm and not his weapon.
Using the backwards motion he gained from the feint attack, Shawn would bring down his right arm currently holding the weapon and strike the area above Kuro’s right ankle diagonally with his forearm, more specifically his radial bone. This strike will be aimed more towards the front of the leg where the shin is. During this moment he will also strike with his palm using half his strength from the other side of the leg going inward, just above the ankle as well. Pulling his body back as he does this will prevent the kick from succeeding as it pushes the attack away from his chest and down. Kuro’s scabbard on the other hand is a different story and Shawn only has a moment before he manages to twist his body while moving back. The attack misses its intended target but still will succeed in striking Shawn's left arm that is now guarding his body.
It doesn’t end there sadly, as Kuro puts his foot down, an intense pain would kick in originating from his ankle hopefully causing his foot to buckle from the weight immediately thrust on it. If his foot does buckle then Shawn would go for a quick jab with his scabbard towards Kuro’s chest. If his foot does not buckle, Shawn would quickly move backwards five feet before returning to the same stance he was in at the beginning of his charge. Either way Shawn would congratulate Kuro for his quick wits on dealing with his bluff, after all, Shawn just happened to know a technique to deal with that specific attack, that doesn’t mean everyone does.

As Shawn placed both his forearm and hand up Kuro's leg, he winced, the pain jolting up and through him. His scabbard came quickly down onto Shanw's forearm in retaliation, aiming to both jar Shawn while gaining a point and now possibly get some leverage with his weight pressing down on the "blade" end hitting Shawn. However, Kuro felt his strength fail as he began trying, coming down heavily as Shawn pushed Kuro's leg downwards with the strikes he gave to Kuro's ankle region. The heavy thud came first, and then the scream. Kuro's foot turned over itself inward, stretching the ligaments beyond normal measures and causing the immense pain.
The kick had simply began a gamble, not something that Kuro had ever practiced before or had actually planned in the beginning to use. It had most certainly proved that Kuro should never try a move he had not practiced before. He howled out in pain, dropping his blade and gripping his ankle with both hands, falling on his butt and rocking back and forth. As he bit his lower lip in pain, eyes closed in wincing, he grumbled to himself about how he was an idiot. "I should have known better... Stupid tactic.... never rush in even if they present it and never jump in the air...."
Kuro then began to stand on one foot, lifting the other backwards and keeping himself balanced by picking up his blade and using it like a cane or crutch beneath his hands, leaning the blade in front of his body. "I assume that you would be ok with me conceding this duel... I seem to be injured beyond further fighting... But during the walk back, can we speak further about your pressure point fighting style?" Kuro then began lifting his sword and then hopping forward before placing the blade back to the forward position, showing that he refused to concede the ability to walk at least.

Landing his strike cleanly, forcing Kuro’s leg down, Shawn takes the smack to the forearm while preventing the scabbard from hitting his face. Taking a step back he prepares for Kuro to continue forward, unsure of how successful his own attack was. He wasn’t at least, not until he watched as Kuro’s foot came down and folded in on itself hard. This in turn caused Kuro to drop like a sack of potatoes while letting out a scream of pain. Remembering back at his master showing him this counter brought back a very vivid memory of the pain it had caused when he put weight on his ankle immediately after.
“Yeah, we can consider this match over, but I won't count it as a victory, after all I won by forcing you to concede from an injury that was caused by an attack that didn’t award points. I also admit I forgot how much damage it does to the ankle.” While speaking he watched Kuro get back up, putting most of his weight on his left foot and lifting his right foot backwards in the air, trying to stay stable he uses his sword as a cane. I doubt he is the type of person to accept help when he has some way of doing it himself. “Don’t worry, I don’t know many Shinigami who remember pressure points are a legitimate way to fight.”
Asking if they could continue walking on the long trek back, specifically about the pressure point fighting Shawn would answer, “Of course, if we can both grow in skill even by talking then I couldn’t say no.” With this question answered he would watch as Kuro began to hop along using his sword as a crutch, as this man clearly hated being weak in any sense. Starting to move forward, Shawn would walk next to Kuro and keep pace with him so they could speak more easily. “Is there any specific question about my martial art you want to know?” This would be the last thing he said before listening to any response he might have.
