Nesr was flying through the trees, surveying the forest below it. It seemed like it had been forever since she had flown around. Where was the pack that she was in? Where did Umaroth go? After waiting for what seemed like years (in actuality it was only a few days, two at the max), she decided to take her most important things and move them to her original nest. Thankfully, it was still there next to her mountain. She kept that nest over there, just in case he decided to pop up again, but for the most part, she kept doing what she was doing before.
So, she was now hunting around for her breakfast/lunch. Using her eagle eyes, she found a small little rabbit hopping happily on the ground. Seemingly oblivious to her, when it bent down to eat the grass, she struck. Using her sharp talon, she grabbed the small little animal and took it up to the nearest tree, cracking its neck before she started to eat it. Nibbling on it, she looked around the forest, trying to see if anything in her old hunting ground seemed out of place. So far, everything seemed normal to her. Ra was shining in the sky, Horus was with her flying, it was a fairly serene day.
It was so serene, that she wanted to try something new. While holding her half-eaten rabbit, she flew up into the air, looking for a nice, big, open area for her to spread out. Once she found it, she dived down and landed quietly, flapping her wings slightly so she could land quietly. She started to walk around in the grass, which was odd for her because she never really walked on the ground. She had wings, so she used them more to get around than using her feet to walk around. She lightly jumped around, flapping her wings slightly to get some air to jump up fairly high.
She squawked when she landed, stomping her feet around, enjoying the grass. Then, she put the half-eaten rabbit in her beak and started to punch the air. She was pretty sure she was only half doing it correctly, but she didn't care. She wasn't paying attention to the area around her while she started to punch the air wildly, thinking that she was doing some good practicing. She smiled, squawking at her accomplishments before punching the air some more. After a few minutes, she stopped and looked up in the air.
"HORUS! AM I GOOD DISCIPLE?! I AM GOOD! HORUS IS BEST!" She screamed this into the sky, twirling around like a crazy bird. To some, it might look like she was trying to dance, but to her, this was the way that she gave homage to her god, the god of the sky, Horus. When she flew, she felt his currents flow over her and made her feel safe. Dancing like this, it was as if she was dancing with him now. During this entire dance, that half-eaten rabbit was still hanging out of her beak.
Dancing like this for what seemed like hours (it was actually about five minutes), until she fell onto the soft grass, her wings letting her fall a bit slower. Once she had laid down, she grabbed the rabbit and started to nibble again, trying to keep her ears and eyes open for anything different. But, once the rabbit was finished, she started to get comfortable. She would put her hands behind her head and look up into the sky, reveling in the glory of her god. "Horus, am I good...." Then, a slight snore started up before she could finish. It seemed as if she got so comfortable she fell asleep.
